    Pulled into a party of some kind in the parking lot, felt very unsafe. Checked into room and noticed the property was not kept up and was dumpy. I did not feel safe so immediately checked out. Still waiting on my refund!

    Shuttle picked me up at the airport. After a few minutes , the driver finally got out of the van to put my bag in. Once we got to the hotel , he just walked off bag was still in the van , so I opened the van and got my bag out. The driver was the same person at the front desk.Checking people in , I was the only one there. I receive my key to my room. To my surprise when I got off the elevator I thought I was on the wrong floor because it was furniture everywhere and in the hallway. Floors didn't look like they had been vacuumed. Rooms are small and very dated. I went to use the restroom and the toilet seat was not attached at all. I went to the desk to ask for a new room , and I was told "No, we can't do that" no further explanation just "No". There was new attempt to try to make the experience right or to see if they could even fix the toilet.

    So bad that my wife and I had to eat the $100+ and go across the street to the Marriott. As soon as we entered the lobby we were smacked in the face with the smell of nicotine/weed. “Alright” we said. “ Certainly our room won’t smell like this.”…oh how wrong we were. The room was WORSE. We immediately started getting headaches and lightheaded upon entering. We inspected the room a little and wow I thought hotels were only this gross in movies. The walls were covered in goodness knows what bodily excretions. The shower had what I can only assume was black mold. But you know what? We could have ignored ALL of that…if it wasn’t for the absolute nauseating smell of marijuana permeating every square centimeter of the room. We immediately went back down to the lobby and told the receptionist we would like to cancel and get a refund. Since I booked it through Expedia, she could not refund me herself, so hopefully Expedia will do the right thing. I have NO idea how this “hotel” has 3.8 stars, I’m truly stunned. I can put up with quite a lot, but this place was just too nasty for me.

    First room we got smelled like someone had just smoked a pack of cigarettes in it and had to ask for another one. Next room was not clean, there were things on the floor that clearly indicated it had not been cleaned very well. The walls had missing plaster and different scuffs/divets in them. The back door of the building was propped open for anyone to get in, no key card required. There were men outside of the hotel by the exit drinking beers until very late at night, I was nervous to walk past them or have them know which room or which car I was coming from based on the looks I got from them. Overall not a great experience and felt uneasy during my entire stay.

    I tried to tell the front desk about it in the morning, and she just seemed to not really care, although she did say "sorry". I have stayed in lower priced accommodations and so I didn't have high expectations, but that was too many things wrong, plus noisy all through the night. The one good thing was the shuttle to the airport was quick, although we did not leave from the hotel for more than 10 minutes after the time we were supposed to, but it is very close to the airport so we made it there safely and quickly. I would've liked a refund or credit but there wasn't anyone at the front desk the times I went down.

    There was mold in the bathroom and mold in the ceiling of the room, when we checked out and told the gentleman at the front desk, he was like OK. The bathroom was not in good shape and had multiple cracks around the shower. The beds were very uncomfortable, we would not stay there again.

    This hotel is in pretty bad shape. The room was in poor condition, the ac barely worked and parking is not well lit. We arrived and they had given away our room, even though they are right next to the airport and had our flight information from when we booked. After we were given a different room that only had 1 bed, when we went to our rooms there were beer bottles all over the outside patio area, in the staircase, and in the hallway where our room was located. We HIGHLY recommend people stay elsewhere, this was the worst hotel/motel experience we've ever had and we travel all the time.

    Room was bought and paid for. Uber dropped me in front at 1:30 Amafter an exhausting late flight. Even from the outside, it was clear I could not stay there as a woman traveling alone. There was a trove of creeps partying in the parking lot, place was terribly run down. I walked next door and paid AGAIN for a clean, safe Marriott.

    The entire place is in need of a deep cleaning. Rooms are adequate for a nights sleep but I would not want to hang about for long. Breakfast was ok but there were ants in the breakfast area. For a nonsmoking hotel the place smelled very strongly of cigarette and marijuana. Clear communication with the staff was difficult as English was not spoken well by any of the staff. Halls were dirty , trash littered the property both in and outside. It seemed that nobody cared to clean up. I would not choose to stay here again.

    If you plan on keeping it cheap, go to one of the places nearby because you’re paying for less at this location. Otherwise, spend the extra money for the SpringHill next door. This location is a prime example of an owner cutting costs and not meeting their brand standard with high prices. As you enter the hotel you’ll be greeted by the hot and Musty air blown in your face by a non cooled lobby. Thankfully that musty air gets covered up by the faint hint of cigarette smoke that gets worse and eventually switches to weed. Nice staff will greet you at the desk, but probably not the door because of what seems to be a bunch of randoms coming in and out who may or may not be staying there or up the stress under a tree. After checking in, you’ll make your way up the hallway where the faint smell of cigarette smoke gets thicker as it the heated hallway gets continues to get hotter. Step in the elevator, watch your step so your feet don’t stick. For the cost off all the extra amenities you’d get with a Best Western Plus, you’ll receive broken or hardly working versions of them. Mini fridge that will make your food go bad. Half working microwave. 7 inch spring mattress that will have you questioning if the floor is better. It’s not but the chair is. Slept on the chair after an hour in the bed. Trash in shower from previous person. Hair on walls. Rust and mold around shower.

    My stay here was horrible! Bathroom tile was filthy, room smelled bad, When we got off the elevator there was large pieces of furniture stacked outside the elevator yet there was no signs stating “forgive our mess” our hall was party central yelling and hollering down the hallway through out the night. We called the front desk several times after 10 pm with no changes. Once we couldn’t take it anymore around midnight my niece yelled down the hallway to shut up did the noise die down. It was ridiculous.

    The room was clean, but the hotel itself is older. The "kitchen" area is absolutely disgusting, so breakfast wasn't an option. The other main problem was the smell. The entire hotel from entry smelled of cigarette and marijuana smoke. I had to launder my bags even after the stay because the smell was lingering. The shuttle to the airport was nice, except when i arrived at the airport I waited 45 minutes and called 3 times to get the shuttle. Fortunately i was only at the hotel long enough to sleep both nights, but it wasn't a great experience.

    Arrived late, gave our room away even when we called earlier to confirm late arrival so received one double for 2 and a broken down rollaway. Running toilet took 4-5 x’s to flush.Took 2nd day to get fixed. Late loud party outside our window till midnight, asked front desk who couldn’t hear it to stop, after 2nd request, I called the police to take care of. Coffee bar in breakfast room had sugar ants on counter. Hard beds and rusted door hinges, doors splintered around bottom, mold and grime throughout room. No Kleenex furnished. Forfeited last night and moved to another hotel.Would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

    The room was clean and serviceable, but no dressers for our clothes. Housekeeping was non existent for the 4 nights we were there. Breakfast was decent. Plumbing maintenance was lacking, as the shower hose leaked profusely. So all in all... a clean, quiet, affordable place to stay, but nothing to write home about.

There was a persistent loud beep noise every few seconds that came from near the front desk. Patchwork within the rooms was evident and apparent. Cleanliness was reasonable. There was a very loud and intoxicated room of people playing loud music across the hall. My room phone didn’t work. I had to use my cell phone and call the hotel phone number 4 times before someone answered. The front desk person went to the room to address the noise, which improved for only 3 minutes. I called the front desk again and was offered a different room, which I accepted. I ultimately had to move rooms after 12:30a to a handicapped room with a smaller bed. The front desk person was apologetic. There was no offer to discount my room for the inconvenience, downgraded room, and disruption of my sleep.

    Do not stay here. There is something nefarious going on in this hotel. There are parties of gang-bangers in the parking lot at night, and even though staff told me they would call the Sheriff, it was hours later. Afterwards I heard one of the men, who was extremely drunk, telling the hotel staff that he could get them girls, any kind he wanted. There seem to be people living there like it's a half-way house. It wouldn't be a deal-breaker except for when they start yelling in the hall-way. I did not feel safe here. I feel sorry for the staff and owners, I think they really can't stop it from happening.

    This looks nothing like the pictures. Rooms were filthy, and the room assigned specifically had roaches. The whole place smelled like “m” despite being “smoke free”. No one was there to check in and you had to call a random number in order for the worker to check in. Did not even stay for my booking because of how poor it was and how unsafe I felt. People were walking around with weapons. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

It was nice that it was so close to the airport, but it took them a long, long time to come and get us from the airport to take us to the motel. Finally, we got a ride with another shuttle that said he saw us sitting there for so long!!!!!! During the night about 1:30 in the morning, people were banging on our door and trying to get in and hollering and making a lot of noise. I called the front desk and they just said oh we’re sorry. We had to get up at 3 o’clock to catch the shuttle back to the airport so we didn’t get much sleep at all.

    There was nothing that I or any decent person would like. Filthy hallways, elevator, and parking lot. People in the parking lot all day and night drinking and play loud music. Broken fixtures I. The bathrooms. Roaches on the bathroom floor. Furniture in the hall and blocking the elevator space. Stayed 4 days (I’m sure won’t get my $50 gift card promotion). I had to force the staff to clean the room for me and it was only cleaned late evening after I threatened to leave. What a horrible hotel. I have stayed at many Best Western hotels and the stay was very nice. I do t know what happened but I won’t choose Best Western again. Especially in Richmond Va. just a horrible stay. A complete disaster. I took pictures and I would be glad to send them to you. I always give credit when it’s due. But this experience deserves exposing. Very, very, very bad.

    Disappointed in this Best Western location. Clearly understaffed, causing waits to check in at the unmanned front desk and probably some cleanliness issues in the rooms - ours had a weird liquidy stain on one wall that was pretty off putting and made me question how well the rest of the room was cleaned. The airport shuttle driver was a highlight, very nice and helpful!

    Our room: 2 double beds lined with large cardboard strips b/c the bed frames had just been stained. Beds were like sleeping on grandma’s old thin mattresses with plywood underneath. Bathroom was clean, but shower was not sealed so water got all over the floor. Come to find out, that room was “under construction”….maintenance person showed up and said “oh, I didn’t realize someone was staying in here. I was coming to do maintenance.” After a horrible night’s sleep, we left as quickly as we could

    We really like that it is close to the airport in Richmond, VA, with a free shuttle to the airport, and provides extended parking for $7 a night to leave your car. The shuttle service driver was also the front desk clerk! This is stretching this person's duties to the hotel. A woman was waiting at the front desk for help (she had locked herself out of her room at 4 a.m. in her dressed in her PJ'S and robe. There was no one at the front desk, because that person had to go get the shuttle van! He did stop in, when he came to pick us up for our 4 a.m shuttle, and had to help that woman first. Come on corporate! Surely you cannot expect one person to cover a van shuttle service AND the front desk position!

    The front desk worker was kind and did help us when we told her that we did not want to stay at this hotel, but other than that the hotel was completely disappointing. Driving up to the hotel we could tell that it was the most dated hotel on the street but that didn't bother us because we got a really good nightly rate. Once we drove into the parking lot we saw lots of people just hanging out in different areas and a car right in the front with a slashed tire. everyone was staring at us and we were instantly uncomfortable but wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt. We walked inside the hotel and the smell of mold was very very strong, there were holes in the walls and ceiling and there was an alarm going off and no one in the lobby was concerned or tried to turn it off. We got the key to our room and were praying that the room was better than the lobby but it was not. we pretty much walked in and walked right out. The door was extremely flimsy and there were stains all over the bed, the carpet, the couch. It was actually disgusting. We ended up cancelling the rest of our stay there and went across the street to the Springhill Suites by Marriott and even though it was a lot more expensive it was definitely worth it. I will never stay in a hotel that made me feel the way I did in the Best Western Plus in Richmond, VA.

    Even though the rooms say smoke-free, they are not. Our room smelled like smoke, and they had no other rooms to move me. The walls and ceiling are yellow ..prob from the smoke. The bathroom was not the best. There was no staff to refill items at breakfast. This hotel needs to be painted or renovated.

    The hotel is in a good location, however, the hotel is in poor condition and dirty. Our room had pealing paint on the ceiling, the tile in the bathroom was coming off the wall. The bathroom sink would not drain unless you manually pulled the plunger up. The toilet wouldn’t always flush. The bathtub would not hold water. The ice machine and washing machine in the hallway were dirty. We were very disappointed in the condition of the property.

    The woman at the desk overnight drove and picked me up at the airport at 3 AM. My flight was very much delayed! I was so very appreciative!!! Lovely woman. The hotel in general is a little worse for the wear. Doors are banged up, etc. It's been spiffed up some, but it still show signs of wear. breakfast was good. Price was excellent.

    The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The staff was courteous. The shower leaked onto the floor and the closet door was broken. The room for breakfast looked like it was in the process of remodeling. The elevator was shut down unexpectedly and fire fighters were seen going down the stairs and guests were given no information about it.

    Booked a king size room on arrival . I was told they were not available so I had to get two double beds. The property is very outdated. People were drinking and partying in the parking lot and the elevator was broken on the first day would not recommend.

    The facility is definitely in need of maintenance and repair, but our room was clean, met our needs, and was a good price. Unfortunately, there were no regular coffee pods for the Keurig-type coffee maker in the room, and downstairs only “Bold” coffee was available (I prefer a lighter roast). Front desk staff seemed overworked and failed to provide some asked for assistance.

    The coffee maker was broken, the shower head fell apart, there was no soap in the dispenser, no facial tissues in the dispenser, was charged $10/day parking when the advertised rate was $5/day or $15/week, one elevator was inoperable (and has been inoperable for weeks). I will never stay there again.

Because no one was at the front desk, she also helped some people to check in. She told the guests to enjoy breakfast while checking them in. She was a one woman band holding the fort. Then she notified us that our van driver was here. It turns out it was Navid! The front desk from the night before. He said the driver didn’t show up to work. So he drove us to the airport. But both Navid and Callie showed great customer service! I’d stay here again.

    Staff was nice upon checking- My room was horrible and worn out. The carpet was old and coming apart from seems, walls and transitional spaces. The breakfast was not much with a dirty dining room. The whole hotel just seemed dirty. Also seemed they allow homeless to warm up inside, which is nice but did not look good with added info from above. People that stay there are not favorable. Loitering outdoors, police, etc. my bed was very basic,and not too comfortable. I will never stay here again but grateful.

    Asked staff to help with tv. They never showed up. Room heater fan needs to be fixed. It kept me up all night. My 3:30 wake up call came at 2:30. Same thing happened to three other guests. Shuttle driver was excellent the next morning.

    We booked this for a sales contractor. Experienced an issue with the shower with the staff offered to move rooms for but the same night. He also experienced bugs on the bed and around the room in the middle of the night. He brought it to the attention of the front desk staff who did not seem surprised and didn’t have much to. We booked him a different hotel and emailed the hotel directly to request a partial refund. We have yet to hear back several days later.

    The room was nasty. I had just traveled over 20 hours from Canada, the only saving grace was the bed was clean. Holes in the wall, the lamp shades were cracked. Mold in the shower, pooling water, and brown dirty shower tray. Shower is white tile, but it was brown/yellow in many spots. Weird blue goo on the ceiling of the shower, hair in the drain. The carpet was ripped up in places, room was visibly dirty--my socks showed dirt/lint. Don't get me wrong, this is a hotel, but WOW I was less than impressed. I wasn't about to ask for a new room or argue with someone at midnight after such a long day, but I will not be staying here again. My google review will have the images attached of the nasty if you want to see. Do not book here.

    The tv didn't work at all. There was no signal to even try to get any channel to come up. The place smelled like a mix of bleach, paint and sweat. There was mold on the wall of my room. The breakfast was very unpleasant. The only things that were tolerable was the orange juice, the muffins and the croissant. Outside of that, the staff was very friendly and the transportation shuttle for the airport was great.

    Did not use shuttle. Could have left car there for $5 a day or $15 a week. Absolutely not comfortable doing that. Parked at the airport. There was a number handwritten to call left on the front desk. The picture of the room wasn’t even close. Room wasn’t worth $109 a night.

    The room was absolutely disgusting. Black Mold in the bathroom. There was a black mold spot on the wall in the bathroom that was 14 inches long and 4 inches wide. The bottom of the bathroom shower was black and all the caulking around every single tile. Also had black mold. toilet didn’t flush sink didn’t drain. Absolutely one of the most disgusting hotels I’ve ever been in. Pretty sure they turned it into an extended stay and no one takes care of anything. There were washers and dryers literally right at the exit of the elevator.

    I stayed here for one night and the girl at the front desk was night. But the area around the hotel and the hotel property was pure chaos. The rooms look… not clean but not filthy. There was black stuff around top of the ceiling, the bathroom had missing tiles and dirty outlets. I didn’t even want to shower there. The breakfast was lack luster, nothing looked appealing. The cleanliness of the building and its surrounding had me looking for something prepackaged but no luck

    Had a 3 day reservation from 10/3 to 20/6. I arrived at 8:15 p.m. on 10/3 and was told I was 15 minutes late and my teservation was canceled. They said I didn't call ahead for late arrival even though the email confirming my reservation stated to let them know if I wasn't going to be there by midnight. They gave my room away and I had to go somewhere else. They refused to gove me a refund. Expedia was no help at all. Word to the wise. Never use Expedia or Best Western.

    Seems that there are quite a few locals who live here daily. Could not use computers; was told that owner disconnected because a kid was using inappropriately overnight. Well, deal with the kid, not all of the other guests. Hotel lobby, breakfast area, and property overall seemed run-down.

    Television had a continuous glitch never stopped the entire night. Pillow was tiny. Website for extended parking shows fifteen dollars for the week, but property actually charged $7.00 per day. This is a huge miscommunication. Property run down from our last stay.

    BRAVO! to the staff for the comp airport shuttle. They were on time, quick, and friendly. We checked in but were among some foreigners that seemed to be loitering. Anyway, the hotel condition was below average. A couple areas smelled odd. The carpet and bedding were worn out unfort. The restroom was OK. Glad comp bottled water available. Breakfast was actually good. TV was good.

    This hotel needs a major overhaul. Black mold in the bathroom on the walls and tub. Carpet stained and dirty. Housekeeping didn’t bother taking old subway sandwiches out of the refrigerator so the room spelled like onions. The A/C was not cooling. Needless to say, we won’t stay there again.

    I've stayed in BW's all over the US many, many times. I can't get over what a dump this place was. The shower was disgusting - mold, dirty, no water pressure. The phone, soda machine, and pool were out of service. There was a big gathering in the parking lot, a million beer bottles and swearing. Cockroaches. Breakfast cold and no meat. The list goes on and on. I am scared to stay at BW going forward.

    This hotel was the poorest condition hotel I have stayed at in a long time. The smells, the carpets, the busted adjacent door to the connected room (and I mean split open like a construction job with concrete chunks l) the holes in the walls, the open doors in the hallways for group parties that were going on, the hanging wires from the ceiling throughout the main level, all the ice machines do not work on 3 out of the 4 levels of the hotel. The best part of the whole stay was the group of strangers I met on the elevator all saying how dissatisfied and disappointed we all were in the hotel. The poor front desk guy was trying his best, but it was clearly bad management who was there when I checked in, who was walking around with a gentlemen who must have been from corporate, and did not care to help out the front desk guy who was dearly with an upset guest and a line of 6 people who needed to check in.

    They are working on updating but it is for sure a work in progress. The rooms are fine but need some deep cleaning, painting and upgraded accessories. I do recall in the past when staying that many flight crews stayed here but it feels as though it’s lost its luster and needs some TLC.

    Hotel is not up to date or safe feeling. A bunch of men were partying in the parking lot and the next morning trash/vomit was everywhere. Got put in a room that smelled like smoke (the whole place is nonsmoking) but was able to get another room. Bed was very firm and uncomfortable. Spider in shower. Just overall not the best but it worked for a quick trip to Richmond area.

    The hotel seemed quite dated tho I can tell they have tried to give updated look, I will say the staff were nice ,the a/c did not work, so my room was very warm. Bed was hard ,it felt like I was sleeping on box spring,it made me sleep very difficult. The breakfast was ok,very standard to everyone else these days.     Horrible if I hadn't been flying out at 6am I would have got a DIFFERENT HOTEL. I travel ALOT and I have stayed in MANY hotels. I will NEVER BE BACK to this one. First room smell was so bad I had to request a new room. The smell was mildew or something of that nature I even tried putting essential oil under my nose to see if I could tolerate it. Could not so I moved to a new room. Smell was better but still there. This "new" room was like I stepped back into the 70's & I mean the original carpet, curtains dirt or I don't know what on the walls. Black mold or mildew in the bathroom on the ceiling in shower. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I FELT IKKY IN A HOTEL ROOM. Like I said if I was staying any longer I would have changed hotels.

    Tge staff was more concerned about their problems and issues speaking loud about how the hotel manager is not treating them well, mean while they live for free at the hotel. The cleaning staff did not wait to take their cart up the elevator. My hands were full and just shut the elevator door in front of me having me wait for her to be done with it as it seems there is only 1 elevator. No mention of where anything was wwhen i checked in. Didnt know where the pool was and what the hours were. When checking out, all i got was a checking out ok, i said thank you and nothing in return. Poor service all around.

    Check in was fast and informative. Quite for being next to the airport like I couldn't even tell. Very close to many things straight sandwiched by waffle houses . Breakfast was tasty and had lots of variety. Would be nice if the pool was open later. Has most everything you'd need for a nights stay. Loved that the room had multiple separate bathrooms and sleep area trashcans.

    When we arrived after 8pm we were told there was only a one bedroom with a double bed. The tv did not work and maintenance could not fix it. There was clutter in the hallways, holes in the ceilings water spots mold. The doors stayed open all night long there were no safety precautions. The only good thing was breakfast. The area was clean and the attendant was extremely attentive. Unfortunately, I will never book here again. The owners should be ashamed.

    Room that I reserved with two beds was not available; they offered two single separate rooms. I asked for a room with a single king bed as an alternative to my original reservation, and was informed there were none available. I was traveling with my elderly mother so not ideal. I was told that reservations aren’t guaranteed after 6pm; when I shared that I had messaged stating a late check-in when I made the reservation, he said that messages aren’t checked and I should have called. When I got to my room, the walls were covered with mold. Upon returning to the lobby and stating I would not stay in a mold-infested room, I was offered a room at a different hotel. Since my mother was already tucked in her own room, again not a reasonable alternative. It was only then that I was given a king room in spite of being informed at check-in that there were none. The bed was uncomfortable, the sheets scratchy and the halls smelled of weed.

    This was by far the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in. The room smelled like weed and cigarettes, the bathroom had black mold and the tub was absolutely filthy. The bedding smelled like weed and urine and there was dirty spots all over the walls, which also had the wallpaper tearing off. The front desk lady was nice, lobby is nice and the breakfast was good, it’s close to the airport but that’s about it. I would never stay here again and please don’t if you have small children like we did. 0/10.
