Then a sassy front desk person (Brandon the name said) who looks like he's dressed for the club says, it's not us who charged your card but the website you made the reservation (unlearned/ignorant) even though it states their Motel name and location. Hmmm, odd right? And it's still the M6 app/website when the pending charge then is posted (no longer pending) to your account even though the reservation was canceled at 1:01pm the day before and the guest booked and paid for the canceled night elsewhere via (Expedia) but they still have money that does NOT belong to them. Let this fact of truth be your warning and guide no matter your ethnicity or gender! They bait with lower prices for calculating reasons!! Also, the property is run down and not well maintained. In desperate times people seek opportunities to do unethical things. I hope Motel 6 the brand abandon this location specifically!!

The room did not have the amenities the other Studio 6 properties have had. It seemed like a regular hotel room. There was no hairdryer. No table and chairs. Our window didn't have a screen on it. The shower leaked and splashed the floor if shower door was open. I was grossed out after my shower because the towel had hair all over it which some got on my body. It was quiet and felt relatively safe though. Good restaurant and taco vendor near by.

This hotel really did exceed our expectations!! Located at the LAST US exit before Mexico, this hotel was surprisingly clean and staff was very pleasant. I'm a Registered Nurse and came to Tijuana to do my dental implants and this was a very nice place to stay especially for the price. Note we are smokers, this is a no smoking property, but it was no problem cause you can just walk rite next door to the gas station and smoke there. We had micro/fridge/ coffee maker in room. 2 beds, a pool, vending machines and coin op washer/dryer. There is detergent in vending if u need. Going back in 3 months for adjustment on teeth, will be bringing our dog this time as pets are allowed. Good job Studio 6!! Will definitely be returning!!

The hotel is good and the manager Orlando and the staff are great people they always help. Sadly I can not say the same about the owner and his wife. There very rude people and have no manners. If u ask for towel and toilet paper the wife of owner began said are hotel is full and hand me 1 towel instead of 4 the I ask for. As also keep saying hotel is full the whole week no towels. She screams to u if ur pets pee on plants. She doesn't say hi at all very bad costumer service. And the owner treat guest as the guest work for him very rude.

The floors are a bit nasty but everything else was as expected for the price. Staff was kind and fast for check in. I would stay again for the price on memorial weekend. Area business were cool also and afforable.

Great value!!! Sheets were dirty from prior guests!!!!! The lady at front desk charged for 2 additional hours after we had requested late check out. We tried to add another day and she wanted to charge for additional day and late check out which is unethical. Didn’t have enough towels for 2 day stay. After requesting more towels we were told they didn’t have any available.

Bed was old and made a lot of noise and mattress was not comfortable at all and pillows were flat. The shower handle was broken and hot water unable to be regulated so had to shower with cold water. The floor had a lot of dark brown stains that honestly looked like rust or dry blood.

This was a comfortable little spot near the border. Staff is friendly and there are nearby gas stations and restaurants. Rooms were clean and bed was super comfy!

Stayed here for a night- and it worked for our morning flight by CBX site.

The floor was very dirty. It had not been mopped in a long time. The baseboards were dirty. There was hair on the floor and even in the towels. It was disappointing as we were paying more this time than we did in February, when the room was clean.

Parking , Check in & check out was easy. The floors had a sticky residue to them. I wore some brand new white socks on the floors and they instanly were dirty. Bathroom seat was wobbly and had some sticky residue on it as well. Loud noises coming from the small fridge. Pillows extremely flat. Not enough towels in the room for 2 people.

The room wasn't clean. There was already used toilet paper. When asked to get one more, they said u should have one there. i said yes, and it's already been used she handed one to me, but what can I say for the price you get what you get

There was a lot of homeless people around the building

Check out is at 11am. Housekeeping banged on the door at 10:30 am (without identifying themselves just loud bangs) startling me awake. Before I had a chance to ask who is knocking (as I was woken up abruptly) they opened the door. I called the front desk to notify them of this incident and they lacked accountability stating that this is protocol as some guests might checkout early. However I paid for the room until checkout time which is 11am, I had my things packed and ready to go, and I planned on sleeping until 10:50 and just roll out of bed, brush my teeth, and walk out the door by 11am as I paid for. This was incredibly rude and inconsiderate. People pay for the rooms until 11am and there should be no interruptions until then. I am incredibly dissatisfied.

The stuff here is very nice. The rooms are very modern and clean. The bed is comfortable as a good mattress and it is king size. I would recommend this place to anyone. It’s really good place for you to stay for a week or so you got a refrigerator and a microwave so it’s pretty comfortable. I stayed here a week and I really enjoyed myself. .

Easy check in and check out process! Always a must when traveling abroad.

It’s a really easy check in the staff. There is very polite and nice and very accommodating. They do have a nice pool laundry you need to do your laundry. You can go over the border right there. The rooms are nice. They upgraded in more modern. it’s a good hotel to know to stop by for a night or two and then move on with your journey. I would totally recommend this place.

Booked a room and there were about 5 roaches when we came back from the wedding we attended. I immediately spoke with front desk and they FORTUNATELY had 2 rooms left for the night so we were able to get another and that one was better. There is a peculiar smell in this area. Smells like sulfur/rotten eggs/sewage, but I think it is due to environmental factors not hotel specific.

The room looked clean checking in but in the bathroom at night there was a German cockroach, walking on the bathroom floor. Also, what was very strange to us, on my 2nd day of stay I went to the front desk to ask for fresh towels and was directed where to get them, so later on in the day when we went out someone went in our room and got the previous days towels which was weird. If they were gonna do all that they could have at least made the bed and added new toiletries….overall just felt creepy vibes there.

It is close to Garitas for Tijuana Unfortunately, the internet did not work during my stay. The room had a noticeable insecticide smell, which affected comfort. Housekeeping was also inconsistent, as my room was cleaned only twice over five nights

The place was disgusting, I had bugs crawling on me while I slept and the AC had a hole in it to where you could not even turn it on or off. The staff was even worse, when asking for help the staff would hang up on me and eventually blocked my number. They kept my deposit due to reporting that the toilet was clogged. As well as complaining about sheets having holes in them and the shower curtain being full of mold.

If the king size bed wasn't 6" thick with what seemed to be gaps in thr mattress it would have been a 4-5 star review. A good night sleep is extremely important and having top tier or even decent mattresses is a must, overall 6/10

There was a lot of hair in the sheets and it was clear the bedding was dirty. The room was humid as well which was odd to me. I do not think this is a safe place to stay for a solo traveler - especially for a woman. However, the staff was very friendly and free parking was a plus. I had no issues with other guests or noise.

Yes it was very neglected. Toilet was continuously running. Shower had very low water pressure. Room smelled like mold. We couldn't stay for the entire 3 days we reserved. The towels were crappy and small. The "amenities" were sparce and crappy too.

Upon arrival we saw many cockroaches in the bathroom. We ended up keeping our luggage in the car in the fear that they would get in and return with us. We also had to keep the lights on the keep them from spreading around to our sleeping area. It made for an unpleasant night of sleep.

Air conditioner was working poorly. Room 227 felt humid at sometimes. It gets really hot in the evening. I asked for someone to come and check the air unit they said that it was locked to not go below 66

Broken fixtures in room, ROACHES in room! 2 people staying in room and they would not give us more than 2 towels, I have very long hair i need 2 towels just for myself (body & hair). No additional towel/mat for the bathroom floor when getting out of shower, no wash cloth or hand towels. Beds (bed frames) made crazy loud sounds with every move. Would not start checking people in until after 3pm and there was a line of us waiting since about 2:30. I understood if a room is not available but that was clearly not the case, if you have rooms ready and a line of people in the cold and rain waiting to check in just start checking people in! Would me getting in my room 20 min before 3pm be so bad for motel? No! But it would have been good customer service.

Wasn’t informed of the $60 deposit for damages , no description of NO elevator . Door didn’t close completely. Yes it locked . But it didn’t touch the closure of the wall. Hot water ran out after one shower . White towels had stains . Learning experience. Never booking here again.

Our 3 night stay was wonderful. The staff was very accommodating to us and our car trailer we brought with us for custom paint work. They let us leave it there while we explored the cuty. Clean rooms, very cold AC and again....super nice staff.

Outside of the rooms are trash cans which were overflowing and had trash on the ground around the cans. We stayed there 2 nights and the cans were never cleaned out, just more trash piled on. Service and staff were fine, no complaints there. They just need to be more considerate to their guests and clean out those trash cans and scrub those showers down and fix those hot water heaters because damn, cold showers suck. Definitely not worth the price i paid and I would not go back.

Our reservation was for two queen beds and already paid. Unfortunately they didn’t respect that reservation and told us by mistake there is only on room available with just one bed and it was a Handicap Room !!!! So it was de worst experience ever !!! Also ther was No Towel!! No Shampoo And we had to asked for each one!!

What a terrible experience…. The “good” reviews are absolutely fake and this property couldn’t care less about our poor experience. The A/C had a terrible moldy smell and the bathroom had huge spots of mold! Never again!

Great price. They come with mini fridge and microwave which is always good. We didn't like that it was big dogs inside the room next to us barking and that we stayed for 2 nights and didn't do the beds or replaced towels

Very rude question my reservation made uncomfortable kept asking if I booked at motel 6 couldn't find my reservation even though it was on my phone.They wanted to charge me excess fees website says pets stay free but at check-in wanted to charge fees. Additional deposit of $60 not mentioned either when booking hotel. When asked they couldn't show anywhere that states the fees. Then they cancelled my reservation because they said I was being difficult. They where trying to charge extra fees. Discrimination. Don't stay at this hotel unless you are of Spanish decent. It's right at the California border to Mexico.

The personnel "forgot" to make and clean the room, even when I told them since the first night, and my stay was for 3 nights. They never cleaned the room.

The receptionist who I saw at the beginning was very nice, respectful and helpful, the complete opposite of the guy we saw around noon. The person I traveled with asked if I could stay a couple hours after check out time, the lady said yes and we AGREED to pay a fee of $15 hrs per hr until 1pm, she also mentioned if we stay after 1pm we would pay $30 per hr and I was COMPLETELY FINE with it. This guy who was rude to us came and asked ME if we would stay longer and I said yes and he said “NO PROBLEM JUST ASKING” I’ve never thought about staying longer would be an issue after that. I had a medical emergency and that’s why i stayed longer than expected. At 1pm this guy came back asking us to leave, I was trying to feel better and packing my medicines while he was being rude at the door. We started to leave and I was the last one, he didn’t even talked to me, he focused on the person who was next to me asking her to LEAVE NOW and not listening(he was interrupting her). She asked him who is the manager and he denied to answer and continued saying “leave the property”. At the end we started walking away and I stayed looking at him waiting for him to say something to me and that never happened, he just grabbed his phone and made a call. I’m not justifying my partners way to talk but we were trying to tell him what happened.

We got a dirty room, had bad service and rude management no maintenance. Everything was dirty no room service no housekeeping and for the price point. It was just not worth it at all blood on the sheets dead bug on the floor. I have photos of all of it too, and I got as much documentation as I was able to get also things for dusty fridge wasn't clea + Microwave wasn't cleandust on all much documentation as l was able to get also things for dusty fridge wasn't clean. Microwave wasn't cleandust on all the lights and fixtures. Mirror was dirty. Bathroom was filthy. Florist recovered with stuff no pillows, no towels, no toilet paper and was yelled at by the property manager, and he yelled at my girlfriend too.

All I needed was to sleep for the night booked through Expedia got there said it was for the 16th it was baby I needed a room then at 2am not 3pm he said he would make the change but expedia has to call them except they had Expedia blocked so when the agent tried to conraxt them no call went through do they wouldn’t refund me or change it for me and when someone finally got through the next day the hotel still refused to refund me even though they had expedias number blocked front desk guy seemed shady and seemed like he deliberately was trying to avoid the situation to get me to have to pay for a room all over again would not recommend

I stayed here because there wasn’t a lot of bad reviews and I needed something quick and cheap. Learned my lesson and won’t be doing that again. It’s very very close to the border so it’s really ghetto all around. But it’s a Motel 6 what can you expect? When we went into the room to unload our things, my kids took off their shoes and ran around the room. The room has vinyl wood floor. Both my kids feet were black, the floors were so dirty. Also we couldn’t deadbolt the door because the door frame had a visible gap towards the bottom. Made us feel a little unsafe especially at the location we were at. When I reported this to the manager the next morning, he barely paid any attention to me. He seemed upset at me, which is crazy.

When I got into the room, the tv was on, the bathroom like it had just been used and the bed covers were dirty. One of the pillow covers had dry blood stains in it. I went to the front office to report this to the front desk clerk but he was busy arguing with a lady there so I had to wait. This is what made me not stay for the night , I told them I would like to go somewhere else and asked for a refund. The hotel manager agreed to this but said I would have to go through the third party booking company. He also went to the room to verify the condition and took the cleaning lady so that she could see the covers. I thought this was unprofessional. Anyways, I then called my booking company to get a refund but a different person (next day office clerk) didn't answer expedia calls. I called him to see why and explained to him what had happened the day before. He said he didn't know anything and that I would have to wait to verify the incident because according to him, I was there for about 45 minutes rather than 20 which is what the whole situation actually took. He told me to let expedia do their job in a rude tone and also asked me what color was the blood stain. Very unprofessional in my opinion. I've never had an experience like this one before.

Sent us to an unclean room 1st. Had to go back to the office to request another room. That room had some dirt in the corner like obvious dirt that they shouldn’t have missed. There were no towels in the room at all. There was three what they call pillows which basically make one pillow and you stack them together so we have to go get more pillows.. this place may be cheap, but for obvious reasons avoid this place like the plague

Excellent staff and very accommodating. There is only one Denny’s close by so plan to drive a little bit to find food. Clean room and firm mattress. Request extra pillows if needed.

Very suspect area despite being near a major shopping attraction. Be careful of drugs and potential human trafficking. Was solicited by multiple people telling me they could "take me" to Mexico if I was interested. Homelessness is everywhere; could be the reason for the imbalanced price. Charged me almost half a nightly rate to check in 1.5 hrs early. Dirty rooms with floors that I can confirm are never mopped from watching housekeeping while there. Bathroom smelled of strong urine. Had to thourghly clean my room before settling. If u must, this is a basic motel to crash 4 one night and then head out.

I requested a wheelchair accessible room with a roll in shower. The batchroom was very unlevel and the screws that hold the bench inside the shower were completely loose making it both scary and unsafe for a disabled person like me

Check-in was good. Had to switch rooms because of human hair and some spot (food, I hope) on one bed's sheet. Second room had a continuously leaking tub faucet, the faucet and handle was flopping out of the wall, there were more long black hairs in the tub, and the bathroom door handle was almost falling out. One pod of coffee for two people. We slept and the car was secure, so that's what we needed.

Desk clerk was nice just they’re were permanent residents and they were in-and-out all hours police at least was around so controlled the noise,was worried about my car.

The walls are paper thin! The couple next door was, ahem, very active, and I could hear everything. For hours! 🙃 Walking distance to outlet stores which was nice. Limited food in the area if you're not driving. Very convenient to the border crossing. Currency exchange nearby. Room was pretty clean, fridge and microwave were clean. Didn't feel grossed out or anything. I'd return.
