Rodeway Inn San Diego South San Ysidro Border

Unfortunately it’s run down and the rooms had a funky smell. The phone number on file was not working and couldn’t reach them but we were told the rooms were wheelchair accessible. They most definitely were not and the only elevator had beaten up broken boards that made getting in and out very rough.

The system was done and had to pay cash. I had to use ARM in lobby which charged a fee. I had to pay a $50 cash deposit to have them check room before checking out. When I checked put the attendant accused me of using a hotel towel to clean out sand from my vehicle. I explained that I had it from another hotel stay. She reviewed room and took pictures. She said that there were stains on sheets. I told her it was makeup and sheets can be washed. She was not pleased with my answers. I got my deposit back eventually. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. Plus it smelled really bad because of rhe Mexico sewage in the ocean.

Great price for the size and well kept rooms would definitely stay again.

On multiple occasions, people knocked on our door late at night, approximately four to five times and even attempted to open it. As two women traveling together, this was extremely concerning. We asked the receptionist whether the hotel was safe, and we were assured that it was. When these incidents occurred, we tried contacting the front desk using the room phone, but it did not work. We also attempted to call the hotel phone number listed on file, but the calls would not go through. As a result, we were unable to reach anyone for assistance when we needed it most. The repeated knocking and attempts to open our door left us feeling trapped and unsafe in our room. This was by far the worst hotel experience we have ever had. I would not recommend this hotel and will not be staying here again.

Bath tub fell apart. Had to hand tighten and shower barely worked.

Room was clean and the price wasn’t too bad.

What makes it even better is only 10 minutes walk to land point of entry to cross Mexico border.

I like the staff as i stay here frequently while I have college classes in San Diego and i live in Tijuana. Only issue I have is that the water in the shower for room 113 didnt get hot so i had to go to my meeting without taking one.

The staff is awesome, excellent communication skills, location, easy access to the main freeways , clean condition ,the wifi excellent, the shops, restaurants are nearby. I highly recommend this place for everyone.😀

The comfortable beds and location. It was not clean and toilet seat cover was broken plus ac was not working.

Excelente relación calidad precio, televisión de gran talla, recién remodelado, muebles nuevos, buenas camas, cerca de la estación del trolley y del americas outlet, muy recomendable para compras rápidas. No uses las habitaciones de atrás, el metro hace mucho ruido, las del frente están excelentes. Las cortinas pueden mejorar, les faltan algunas pulgadas.

We decided to stay here after arriving late at night to Tijuana Airport. It was a 15 minute drive from CBX. The price was so affordable, I was actually a little skeptical because of that, but the place was so quiet and clean. The gentleman that greeted us at check-in was so welcoming and sincere. During check-out the staff was so nice. They offered us coffee & tea. The day was a little gloomy, but they even checked the weather for us. Also, the place is literally is down the street from the San Ysidro border crossing. It says 7 min walk, but it feels more like a 3 min walk. Over all our stay was great and we will definitely stay here again.

La habitación está bien , recién remodelada , desafortunadamente tenía un olor bastante feo al entrar ,no tenía toallas limpias, también las ventanas se ve todo para adentro, las cortinas son muy delgadas

Great service and clean. Staff was very helpful letting my gf in before I arrived.

Be aware when paying. The lady at the counter charged us even though we had pre-paid on hotels.com. She told us that our online payment was declined, we later found out that was not the case. We are now working with our bank to dispute the charge since they won't refund us.

Stay away as soon as I arrived I didn’t even get the room I requested which was two beds. They only had king available over five people came down saying the air air-conditioning wasn’t working and two of them that their electric electricity didn’t work one of them, their hot water wasn’t working. It’s right next to the border yes convenient yes but definitely not a place for you to smile and enjoy your visit.

Everything was great.

First I don't think they had changed the sheets. Second the the breakfast was way below my expectations. It consisted of tiny little muffins and a bowl of fruit loops.

Inexpensive but like an expensive hotel
