Pacific Inn & Suites

The bathroom had unfinished painted walls. There was NO CLOSET or area to hang clothes. The walls were paper thin; we could clearly hear what other guests were discussing without them raising their voices. The room smelled musky. The mattress was beyond firm; backache next day. The A/C or condenser in the room made loud noises throughout the night. The manager was courteous and we voiced our concern about nowhere to hang clothes he acknowledged that the room was missing a closet or area for a clothes rod. Will not stay there again.

Overall amazing stay! Raj was very helpful and welcoming he helped make our stay very helpful. The only thing I would change is the pillows in room were a bit uncomfortable but least of worries!

Room cleaning

Very clean and updated! Staff was awesome and saved the day with having some utensils when we forgot ours. My only suggestion would be for the beds to have toppers or something as they were pretty firm and created some sore hips during the nights. Also, parking is quite limited so if you plan to come in late be prepared to park quite far from your room.

Good place to stay the night before our cruise

In a perfect location with lots of things to do around the area. Staff were very friendly and helpful!

Very spacious room. Quick check-in and check-out. Little kitchen with dishes if you need. Clean air conditioning. Overall, a perfect place near the cruise pier for a quick overnighter.

Stayed here the night before our cruise. Super cute rooms. Kept cleaned and well maintained. Very spacious. I will definitely make this hotel our of choice when leaving for our Cruises. Friendly front desk gentleman. The only challenge was going up the stairs with our luggage. So unless we missed it, there was not an elevator option. Knowing this now, next time will ask for a downstairs room if available. If not, we still made it happen!

I highly enjoyed my stay. As a female solo traveler this was ideal for a quaint and cozy stay. The aesthetics in the room and amenities made everything more delightful. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a lot of scenic views for those who enjoy nice long walks, and the air was nice and fresh by the beautiful ocean. I highly recommend.

Outside noise, other guests, were annoying- but we were on eastern time still in pacific time zone- but a very clean room, wonderful location and very helpful front desk! San Pedro is a lil hidden gem!

“Old School” motel vibe but modern amenities. In a residential neighborhood, so we had to uber for dinner and to cruise port but it was easy. Nice dinner next door for breakfast and lunch. Would stay again.

Only caveat / sliding barn door on the bathroom- didn’t quite cut it. The door wasn’t wide enough so there were small gaps - it didn’t actually provide “privacy” in the privy.

This was an amazing place to stay. The staff was helpful, kind, and friendly. The washer on site quit working and they allowed us to wash laundry in their commercial machine. Great place to stay.

You can tell the owners have gone through and done everything they can to really refresh the property, fresh paint, new A/C, new appliances, fixtures, lights it’s all been replaced. Good clean hotel option!!

It was nice specious room, clean and well maintained. It had space for bikes or other outside equipment.

The area is quiet with a small town feel, including local small businesses, restaurants, and coffee shops. The beach is a short walk and includes a pier, playground, swimming/boating area, and short boardwalk. There are many other sites closeby even without heading into LA, which was still close enough for two day trips.

It had a great vibe, was very clean, well appointed, was quiet and was in a great location, a quiet residential neighborhood. The hotel is right down the street from the Korean Bell which made for a very nice spot to watch the sunset. Cabrillo Beach and Aquarium is right down the street (within walking distance). There is a terrific little cafe around the corner, The Lighthouse Cafe, that serves breakfast and lunch. The food was excellent as was the service. I can honestly say it is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. A real treat was hearing distant fog horns in the harbor and the National Anthem and Taps played at Fort MacArthur, 4:30 p.m. and 9pm respectively, The staff were very nice and helpful too. The shocker - free parking! (That made it really extra special). I will be very disappointed if they start to charge as I plan to stay there again when I return to San Pedro. It is truly a little gem of a hotel.

We stayed here overnight before our cruise, they were very nice and welcoming. We had a great comfy night before our trip. We’d definitely stay there again.

The staff was amazing with a great sense of humor. The room was great. The only thing is I wish the bed was a bit better. We will definitely be booking there again and I hope we have the same great experience.

Wow, my stay was amazing. Stayed for 1 night and it was beyond my expectations. Ocean view room, clean, strong water pressure, a/c and heater. Walking distance to beach with park, super good cafe, and aquarium for kids! I'm definitely staying here again. Thank you for the stay!

The room was quite new and very clean, and the front desk service was also good. The only downside was that the vending machine had very limited selections. There is a restaurant and a convenience store within about 20 meters, which was very convenient. We could also walk to the beach easily.

I needed a clean room & bath for one night prior to going on a cruise the following day. Spotless room with new bedding & furniture. Check-in was simple. Very nice staff. They recommended walking up the hill to see the Korean Bell at sunset overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Incredible!! And the price for the room was far below other chain hotels in the San Pedro area. Great value!! Definitely recommend!!

The bed was TERRIBLE. Litterally only picked this place as a stop to sleep. So it served one purpose. The redeeming factor has NOTHING to do with this place. The diner next door is phenomenal. I will be leaving them a rave review. I would never stay here again though.

Every detail about this hotel was more than expected my kids enjoyed the amazing view and every staff was very helpful front desk deserves a raise on how helpful in customers service was provided would recommend to stay here very clean no homeless people and overall my #1 best hotel stay

We had a very pleasant stay at Pacific Inn & Suites the night before our cruise. It was clean and comfortable and is in a very nice quiet neighborhood although further from the cruise port than many hotels if that matters to you. The Pacific Diner around the corner was outstanding for breakfast!

Each unit looked like a small cottage. They were cozy and well equipped.

Property was clean and adequate. However, the soap dispenser and lotion dispenser in bathroom were both empty so there was no soap. Also, there were no coat hangers or anywhere to hang your clothes.

Everything Nothing

I really enjoyed my stay here and recommend the hotel. The rooms were freshly renovated and very clean, as was the property. The staff was very friendly and answered every question. The only dings I can give the place is that the onsite washer and dryer was not working at the time I was there and that parking is limited (but on street parking is available). Otherwise A++!

The hotel is nice, the rooms are a good size there are two restaurants maybe a 2 minute walk and a mini mart for snacks and toiletries between the restaurants. This is our second stay and we will be back.

The property has recently been remodeled. It was clean, well maintained and better than expected. Our first time in San Pedro and we enjoyed it there. We would stay there again.

No smoking area onsite. Room floors were dirty. Everything else was great. We were able to check in early and that was a major plus. Room layout was very nice. Loved the shower and the kitchen area. Would suggest higher table in kitchen area. Corner store and two restaurants close by but early closing time for restaurants. Great food and service. We would definitely stay again.

Quiet surroundings with some lovely plantings. The staff told us that the water was not potable and gave us only two small bottles of water, saying we could buy more from a vending machine. Plastic coffee maker with sub-par coffee. I suggest bringing your own coffee. No restaurants or cafes nearby so bring what you need if you don’t have a car. We walked about 2 miles to a restaurant.

We were told the room had air conditioning and could sleep 5, but upon arrival there was 1 king bed and 1 queen. When I asked where our 5th person was supposed to sleep, as we were charged $20 for having an extra person (and ok ages were input so you could easily see we had no infants or children under 5) I was told to pay $30 extra for a roll away bed. Then the air conditioning in the room kept showing an error code and did not work our entire stay. There was only 2 towels in the room and the hand soap was empty. When we asked for more the gentleman rudely rolled his eyes, slammed the door behind him and then brought the items back to me. We had stayed here before with no problems or issues but this time was so unpleasant we definitely won’t be back. So to recap, we have rude guest services, an AC that did not work, not enough towels, empty hand soap, and treated like an inconvenience when they didn’t make the room up properly. Do better Sir. As a business owner myself, this is not how you get return customers.

Spacious and clean room with a comfortable bed and easy parking. The furniture is too sparse and no place really to set a suitcase, much less two. If you are going to offer a kitchen, there should at least be a few plates, and glasses and silverware.

The room was large and clean. More like a studio apartment. Huge fridge. City water is…. Bring bottled. Parking is a bit Tetris if you have a large vehicle. Just steps away from an awesome breakfast place.

Raj was wonderful and made my family felt welcomed and we shared a couple of stories about camping.

The room was presentable and updated and it was comfortable to stay in. We got charged 10 dollars for early check in and 25 dollars a night for a crib. The clerk at the front desk seemed frustrated with simple requests for items like utensils, napkins, and a room fan, so that did detract from the stay. Our room had air conditioning but our parents did not. Overall, it was an affordable option the night before a cruise and the room was spacious and comfortable but customer service was not great.

Quiet neighbor hood Nothing

My family has stayed here twice now before embarking on a cruise ship from the Port of San Pedro. The office staff is very friendly and accommodating. Room had a kitchenette and amenities were nice. Would stay here again.

I was pretty much to blame for my terrible experience. I didn’t realize their front desk check-in process ended at 10 o’clock, and I didn’t read the late check-in instructions until after the fact. Therefore, I couldn’t check in and it was a big waste of my time. Not this hotel‘s fault. However, I will say, parking was basically nonexistent had I checked in.

The only issue I had was having to climb up the long staircase to the second floor. As I said in an earlier question, my stay was for a work trip and it was a bit challenging to bring my work materials up that long staircase. Once I got to the room, it was very convenient to set up my work station. The outlets and USB ports were very convenient to use. The ocean breeze coming through the open window was refreshing. The room itself was spotless and comfortable. The long staircase up to the second floor. If you have a lot to carry, that situation can be a challenge.

Staff was excellent. The room furniture could use some tlc. The coffee table had a lot of damage and the couch was dated. Bed was decent except the covers were scratchy. It was close to some good breakfast spots and ideally located near the cruise terminal.

This hotel was exactly what was required for an overnight stay. Check in was very easy and the owner was very helpful with information in terms of restaurants in the area.

Suite was great but needs minor inprovements such as 2 small shelves over toilet as there is no room at the bathroom sink. A couple of hooks on bathroom wall next to towel rack and next to bathroom sink. Also we asked for a room on ground floor as they do not have an elevator. There are four steps to get to the door of the ground floor rooms. Must be able to walk up or down 4 steps. Wheelchair ramp?

The suite was 2 rooms, living room and kitchen, a bedroom with bathroom. Bathroom was small but very nice. Bathroom needs 2 small shelves above the toilet to put personel items such as toothbrush, toothpaste, shave kit. In bedroom, there needs to have a chair to sit on to change clothes. Also 2 luggage racks. Then suite would be perfect.

Rooms are big & well furnished and comfortable. Only 15 mins to cruise terminal by Uber. Shop & eateries nearby. Very nice place to stay and is recommeded.

Better room than I expected. Not a GREAT neighborhood, but I didn't feel unsafe walking around during the day. Bus is only 1 block away and will take you up and down Pacific Ave from the Iowa to the beach. We arrived at 1:30 and he WAS going to charge us extra for early check in, but ended up letting us since the room was ready. Mike was very helpful.

Our stay was great! Our room was very clean, spacious and located in a safe area! The staff member who checked us in was very kind and super helpful! He knew lots of good places to eat in the area and places to check out as well! All in all 10/10 and will most definitely stay again if we are ever in the area!

The staff was great. The room was spacious. Great ambiance. Great location. A couple of complimentary bottles of water. The only draw back is the bathroom door ... or lack thereof. It is a sliding barn style door that leaves 1+ inch gaps on either side when closed. Our room was a 1 bedroom suite, so we all left the entire bedroom for bathroom privacy. We will return.

I loved being close to the beach while also having a pool available. The continental brunch was wonderful.

Bathroom door was dirty and the table in the main area was ruined by a previous guest. The worker was very helpful and friendly. the curtains didn't cover the window completely so there was opportunity for people to look in. The update to the place was good overall. The local dinner for breakfast within a one minute walk was delicious.

We stayed here even though our cruise went from Long Beach, as we like the laid-back vibe of San Pedro better. We will stay here again!

The room fit our needs well, and was clean and tidy but the barn door fitted to the bathroom opening was too small and made it feel like there was no privacy in the bathroom. There were large gaps all around the door.

with the exception of the homeless who camped outside the room we had on the street side, this is a lovely hotel. Every room has been redone very well. It is quiet and very nice. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Not a great neighborhood. No restaurants within walking distance. No elevator. I’m a senior citizen and was given an upstairs room. I had to drag 2 large suit cases up and down a steep flight of stairs to access our room. The room has no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan. The room was so warm, it was hard to get any sleep. On the positive side, the room was clean.

The staff was very courteous and the room extremely clean. It was also nice to have a mini fridge and microwave. We were leaving on a cruise and stayed here the night before because of the location.

We enjoyed the large room, helpful staff, and proximity to area parks--Cabrillo Beach, Point Fermin, and Angel's Park. Quite a wait for hot water and WiFi was erratic, but the staff responded right away whenever there was a glitch.

The level of neglect was staggering. I called the hotel’s phone number multiple times while standing at the front desk; I could literally hear the phone ringing right in front of me, yet no one ever came out from the back or answered. It felt like a ghost town. After 60 minutes of waiting in an empty lobby, I had to contact the third-party booking site just to find a place to sleep for the night. Even the customer service representative from the booking site tried to call the property to resolve the issue, and they confirmed that no one would pick up the phone for them either. I ended up having to scramble for last-minute accommodations elsewhere. On top of that, they had the nerve to say I was not in the correct place in response to my message! This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. If you value your time and want to actually have a room to stay in, do not book here. They clearly have zero interest in guest service or even basic operations.

Our stay was pretty good. Location is awesome in a very quiet neighborhood. We were aware of the very few places to eat nearly. The bathroom was small but our complain were the interior rolling doors that need some maintenance.

The reviews we read did not match ours. We enjoyed our stay, and room 201 was a very good sized unit. Check in was easy and the staff very nice.

We were heading out on a cruise the next day and the location was perfect. Everything was clean and updated. We had a nice walk to the local aquarium before leaving.

I only felt safe here, but please note this a modernized-older style Inn with outside corridors. You may wish to request a first floor room because there is not an elevator. I will definitely stay again when travels bring me to San Pedro.

Check-in was fantastic! We arrived a little early, but the awesome guy at the front desk worked some magic, did a bit of rearranging, and got us into a room right away. The room itself was great — cozy, spacious, and wonderfully quiet. Exactly what we needed after a long day. Would definitely stay here again!

Bed spread and pillows were stained and/or dirty. Floor had something sticky on it beside the bed. Couch had a stain on it. Overnight accomodations don't need to be fancy, tasteful, or nice to nake me satisfied. But they absolutely must be 100% spotlessly clean and sanitary. This room was neither.

We love staying at this hotel. The staff is so kind the rooms are awesome. The view is amazing.

I arrived early I was allowed to come in to the room for additional fee 30.00 charge which I felt it was fair front desk was very polite and friendly.As we entered the room it was very clean no bad smells linen were clean 2 blocks from the beach.

Walkable to nice beach and park, small market, and brunch restaurants (that close early). Area was clean and rooms are up to date. Spacious and convenient. No AC but had ceiling fans. Along a Main Street so heard some racing cars and motorcycles in the middle of the night. Didn’t love the early check-in fee ($60) but we had no choice. If in the area again, we might stay there.

Staff was helpful and friendly. The suite was great. The weather was perfect for no AC; we kept the windows open and the ceiling fans on and were nice and cool.

The property is very well taken care of. The staff is very responsive. This is a remodeled property with modern furnishings. I was impressed with how nice the furnishings were. Great shower. Loved that the king/double were in separate rooms. This worked perfectly for privacy for our 3rd guest. We walked a couple blocks to the ocean overlook. It was a wonderful experience and exceeded my expectations. We did find that the room was not air conditioned so we were fortunate that the weather was mild and the ceiling fan generates a lot of wind on the high setting. There are a couple places to eat breakfast within a short walk and there is also a conveneince store close by. I would definitely stay here again.

One of the best kept hotel/motels I have stayed at - even smells clean. Easy parking. Walking distance to two food spots and a convenience store. Quiet. Doesn’t really get hot in San Pedro, just note, must open windows during warmer months - no a/c. Front desk associates are the most friendly!!

We had a great stay. Came for a weekend festival. The awesome gentlemen at the front office was able to get us in early. I didn't catch his name, but he was so friendly. The room was clean, and comfortable. No complaints. We will definitely stay here again.

The staff was friendly and kind in all aspects. The location is clean, close to a bar where the locals were inviting and a corner store all in walkable distance. There are even a couple of breakfast joints nearby that have good food.

Our stay was amazing. Two days before our cruise out of San Pedro. Raj was great and gave us lots of information about where to eat and what to see in the area. The area was quiet and an easy walk down to the beach as well as amazing ocean views just 2 blocks away. Straight up the hill to the Korean Bell with stunning ocean views. One block to the Pacific Diner and Lighthouse Cafe and a short Lyft ride to the Cruise port. The room was quiet and glad to have a ceiling fan as there was no AC. Note most eating in area closes at 3 pm but we door dashed from local places like Big Nicks for Pizza. Bed was comfy and there is a small market next door to grab wine for your cruise. Away from other cruisers so made it quiet. Fridge and microwave in the room was a nice touch. Bus 246 runs right outside and you could take that down Pacific Ave to about 3 rd and walk down hill to the cruise port if you want to save money.

Elevator, thing that I like. No restaurant or breakfast included There are two delicious breakfast close to the hotel. The lighthouse and the pacific. And a convenient store also close. Very nice stay if you go to a ship vacation.

Needed a place to stay the night before an early morning fishing trip. This place was perfect. Very close to the landing, Inexpensive, super clean, plenty of parking and quiet. It was a bit warm though and there is no AC, just a ceiling fan in the middle of the room. Needed to leave the windows open to stay comfortable.

Excellent front desk was super nice

We came off a cruise early morning and had booked an overnight stay here. Prior to arriving I spoke to the manager who offered us an early check in and late checkout as we were flying back to Australia late afternoon the following day. We were treated so well by Raj he was so accommodating in arranging our stay (extended as it was) we paid an extra fee for our stay which was a very special fee. Thank you again. We really enjoyed our stay! Based on some unfortunate things happening, we ended up getting in very late. We were met by very welcoming and kind staff. The rooms were perfect for our large family – we loved having private space and being able to put our kids in another area of the room. The hotel is very close to the beach, and it is also next to some cute cafés. The rooms are very updated and nice. We felt safe in the area.

Nice property. No A/C which we usually wouldn’t book. There was a nice cross breeze with the bathroom and front windows open. But unfortunately you could hear dogs barking most of the night from the apartments behind us. You could also smell smoke leaving windows open all night. But overall it was a decent property.

The room felt and smelled very fresh and clean. The room did not have AC but leaving the window cracked open was sufficient. Walking distance to the shore. No coffee available on site but there were 2 breakfast spots walking distance. Quiet area, would definitely stay here again.

Very Roomy, clean, and close to the Beach

Its a very cute property. Our room almost felt like a small apartment and was very nice. The marina was just down the street, which was nice. The only real drawback was that rhere was no A/C.

Rooms were nice and mostly clean. We noticed a thick layer of dust on the ceiling fan in the bedroom and some trash under the couch when we pulled it out. Biggest issue is that there was no air conditioner so the blinds and windows had to be open all night (a little uneasy when you are on the ground floor) Room was not very private as with the blinds and windows open anyone using the stair to the second floor could see directly into the bedroom. A little awkward. Facility was quite loud with screaming kids, car alarms, and barking dogs. We only stayed one night (thank goodness). The front desk was nice to extend our checkout by a half an hour because our cruise did not leave until later in the afternoon. Do have to say the little diner next door was delicious.

It it tucked away in a neighborhood. The rooms are huge and a nice walk to the beach. I stayed there for a convention in Long Beach! I’m so glad I made that decision the short morning drive over the bridge was wonderful!

The staff was amazing—So friendly and helpful. The hotel was in a perfect location for our cruise embarkation, as it was close to the cruise port. The parking was very tight, but we managed to snag a spot for the night. I wish it had AC as the rooms were stuffy, but it cooled off at nighttime and we slept well. Other family members that were at the hotel mentioned a niegjbor’s dog barking—keeping them up at night, but I didn’t hear it. The nearby Lighthouse Cafe is delightful and made an amazing breakfast and lunch. I would stay here again should I take an other cruise from this area.

The layout of the king suite didn't work well for our family. Looks freshly renovated but the metal bed frames were annoying. Anytime anyone accidentally tapped it or kicked it, it would make a loud noise. The bathroom was too small and there is unused space in the room that seemed odd. The floors were dirty when we walked in, my toddlers feet and hands were super gross after crawling for a few short minutes. The sofa bed was NOT a bed. My tween son didn't even fit on it. It's a couch that can be converted to a couch with an attached ottoman if that makes sense. He had to sleep diagonally. Great location though! Right next to Pacific Diner, and up the hill from Carrillo and tide pools.

The newly remodeled room was great! We had the corner room and loved the cross breeze and views. Staff was very friendly and had no issues with the stay before our cruise. Would stay there again.

WE LOVED IT! Raj at the front desk was AMAZING and fun and kind. I just wish there was a little place to eat breakfast on-site and a map of what attractions are right by the area.

Cute spot. We noticed a diner on the next block, which had we not had a prior commitment elsewhere, we would have tried. Only downside is the limited parking. We got in late so there were no spots available and had to park on the street a few houses from hotel. It’s a quiet residential area so not too bad. Would stay again when in the area.

This hotel was CLEAN one of my biggest things. There are only 3 parking slots onsite where the office is otherwise its limited close street parking at night. I don’t know what parking is on the other side.

I would totally stay here again IF my husband/grown boys with me. The music coming from another room around 0800 am was disturbing and inappropriate. For the price this hotel was perfect for our needs. I would not stay here alone.

The price was pretty good, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the location was nice and convenient. However, there was a strong unpleasant smell in the room—I’m not sure what it was, but it definitely affected the experience. Overall, I’d rate it a 7 out of 10.

Very spacious and comfortable room. Funny equipped and very clean. The beds were a bit firm, but still enjoyable to sleep on. Shower was clean and the water was nice and hot. We made breakfast the next day and it was so nice. Area felt safe and there was ample parking. Overall, a great place to stay. We'll definitely be back.
