Rooms have been freshly remodeled. The elevator will be available for use at the end of May 2026. Unfortunately it wasn’t available for our stay necessitating our climb up and down stairs with luggage. Morning breakfast was not hot, cold oatmeal is unappealing.

Rooms very clean. What I did not liked was they are in middle of upgrading so elevator didn’t work, breakfast minimal, no laundry. Main complaint is they should put this information on web site so we know before hand what we are booking.

Staff was rude to us they doesn’t know how to talk with people electricity problem I stayed there at night and I wasn’t able to sleep bcz AC was not working if I tried to on the lights they were not working too o asked for refund that I didn’t get it from them. Also one of the employees she humiliated us infornt of other tourists that was embarrassing.if I asked for the manager she said I can’t meet with a manager. They are super bad

The staff was nice. The construction was super inconvenient. The elevator was down and there was no breakfast, just a bagged breakfast. Also, there was no allergy accommodation. So I had nothing to eat since I can not have wheat or milk. Were very disappointed this time around.

I liked top floor as step-noise-reduction, the shower area , the couch and the bed. It was a nice place , but there was construction at entrance and the rear parking lot was unattended, trees and brushes were blocking parking spaces. The television channel selection was terrible, not even local news available!

Hotel was under renovation. That was not disclosed during the time of booking. The tv in the room stopped working after 2 hours of getting situated, as well as the phone inside the room. The hotel offered to change the room, but only had rooms with queen beds available. We were too exhausted to pack up and drag our luggage to another room, so we just stayed in that room. The hotel stated free full continental breakfast. We came downstairs in the morning and were each handed a brown paper bag with a grab-and-breakfast. It was awful!! Don’t even ask about the gym - it was not accessible due to the renovations. Extremely disappointing experience. I felt mislead and borderline scammed! The staff were friendly and our cars remained safe in the parking lot. I do not recommend staying here unless the hotel actually provides exactly what is stated on their website. You have been warned.

It’s close to the freeway. I was disappointed to find out that they are remodeling the hotel but are still open. There is a makeshift front desk in a corner in the lobby. The elevators are not in service so you have to carry all your luggage up the stairs, and there is building material scattered all over the lobby. Truly dissatisfied.

7 out of 10 stars. Knocked off a few stars for on going construction and no real breakfast. Room was clean. I would stay there again. Walking distance to casino.

Rooms were very nice, I could tell they were recently remodeled, however, the rest of the hotel was under heavy construction and it was very difficult to get in and out, as they kept redirecting guests through different entrances. Since it is adjacent to a Casino, at night it doesn't feel safe as "service girls" gather outside looking for clients. If you have small children, I wouldn't stay there.

Location is convenient for my needs The property has been under remodel construction for months with no end in sight. We get charged full price for the inconveniences ie there have been times no access to elevator, no access to lobby until after 5:00 pm, misdirection by staff on how to get to room

There was no indication that the hotel was under renovation and when we came to the hotel the entrance had caution tape everywhere. We requested to cancel and received it.

Property has been under construction for months but its listing has not updated to reflect any of these. Elevators will be out of service for some time. The advertised breakfast is just a cold brown bag. There is construction debris everywhere inside and out. Dust in the hallways. And if you're there during the day, you'll hear the construction.

I booked on my way to the hotel. Upon arrival was notified the elevator was down and I was not on the 1st floor so I did not end up staying here. The hotel was under renovations. NO ELEVATOR is a big deal

Th $250 security deposit is a little much considering they had no elevator and was under construction

the room was clean, the room had every amenity you could need, it had space, honestly the only thing missing was a washer dryer and one could live there. lol. The breakfast was not a favorite, but they never really are in hotels. The location felt safe, and away from the main street with available places to eat and shop walking distance. Would stay again. Front staff was also nice.

The room was ok everything was under construction and the elevators were not working so we had to lug our things up stairs to get to our rooms.

Way too much noise. I would have chosen a more comfortable place for the price. I would rate this hotel differently if it wasn’t going through a major construction project. And the walls were then so upstairs was noisy.

The hotel is going through some significant renovations at present. That being said, both the staff and management have done a real good job keeping things flowing in what must be a difficult situation…given that, I’d stay tomorrow if I had to!

The heater did not work the phone did not work and the door jammed when going into and leaving the room. I recorded a video of it. Also I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk to ask for assistance with the problems tgey assured me someone would come help but no one ever came. Lastly we were on the second floor where they were renovating rooms so all morning We heard loud banging which was very uncomfortable. The new layout and amenities were all very nice I am hopeful they fix the problems before they book another patron. The staff were nice but not helpful when needed heat we froze all night. 😔

First of all, the first day we walk in, we. A smell smoke in our room and hallway. The second night we smell weed on the hall way. It seems like coming from one of the room. The smell went into our room through bottom of door. We had to block it with towels. The hotel is under construction. The room we are in looks nice and new. It was nice until last night. When one of us was ready to take shower, he turned on faucet in the shower tub. It comes out some kind of dirt and oil stains or greasy stuffs. I don't know how their pipes works. Not sure it was coming from construction. Thank goodness it was fine when we turned on the faucet second time. Otherwise, we didn't think they can do anything at night. The hotel worker probably needs to call out someone to find out. The next day, we complaint to the hotel worker. She said sorry and will tell the manager. but she didn't ask us to submit the picture to anywhere. She also said since we booked the hotel through 3rd party. They can't give us discount. I am hoping hotel.com can investigate and give us discount. Regarding the breakfast, just like other reviews said. It was very good.

Some rooms were under construction a lot of noise

We had a remodeled room and it was clean and comfy. It had a stove top and fridge. We didn’t use it but that’s nice to have if staying longer than a night. This hotel is right off the freeway but we didn’t hear the traffic. The only concern, when arriving, was the homeless camp that was next to the hotel but we didn’t have any issues. This seems normal though in the bigger cities. Check in and out was smooth and the front desk call was friendly.

THE ONLY THING WE DID NOT LIKE WAS THAT WE ARRIVED VERY TIRED OF TRAVELING A WHOLE NIGHT DRIVING 12 HOURS, AND WE WANTED TO REST AT REDER FROM 3:00; AND OUR ROOM WAS EXACTLY DOWN DELCUARTO THAT WERE REMODELING ON THE SECOND FLOOR, BUT THE NOISE OF THE MACHINERY AND THE MATERIAL DISCOURAGED US OUR REST

we had a newly renovated room which was great, the decor was modern, refrigerator, stove-top, microwave and sink were an added bonus we didn't expect. However there was one glaring issue. The main light switch by the entry door controlled not only the overhead light by the kitchenette, but also the outlets by the bed and the bedside lamps. This rendered the bedside clock useless as soon as the overhead light was switched off. My wife uses a CPAP and we had to run an extension cord into the bathroom in order to power it. There is a nice reading light on the headboard but why have it if in order to use it you have to have the overhead light on. I don't know if this is a one room issue or if other rooms were wired the same way, but this is a safety issue that needs to be addressed ASAP

The breakfast was quite decent. I’m glad I was able to have that option. I would fix food and go back up to my room so it was very feasible. My room was overall clean but there was some hair strands left in the shower I’m assuming from the previous guest but overall, I enjoyed my room and my stay. It was very close to my tattoo appointments so I would utilize that hotel again when I come back.

A bit hard to find the access to hotel, but worth it. Staff was friendly, breakfast was hot and dining area clean and stocked. Our room faced the highway but could barely hear it. Will stay again.

The elevator was temporarily unavaliable when I first arrived and my room was on the second floor. The problem, whatever it was, was resolved quickly. The remote control required the hand strength of a blacksmith to operate and the choice of channels was limited. The egg selection for breakfast was disappointing i.e., nothing fresh. The oatmeal was prepared with too much water. I figured out a way to drain the excess water from my bowl and was satisfied with what I had prepared.

No mention of 'sorry to keep you all waiting'. It was pretty off-putting.

Hotel double booked our same room to another family. while my family asleep at 0100 am. People were trying to get in and knocking on our door.

I love its breakfast, very quiet and peaceful environment. Conveniently located and the parking is free. I also like the security and safety of these place

A very quiet location tucked away behind a small mall and close to the freeway. The receptionist was friendly and check in was a breeze. We noticed right away upon entering our room that it was super clean and the bed and pillows were soft and comfortable. Well stay here again for sure.

This hotel was exactly what I needed. It was an excellent location and very convenient. The staff were great. They were responsive and helpful. The room was very comfortable and roomy.

Over sold rooms , it showed rooms available I payed $71 for an Uber to get here for me to almost sleep in my car.

The only thing good was the beds were comfortable! We thought the bathroom was not only in need of remodeling but it was dirty. The coffee/tea amenities were not stocked. The only chair in the room was filthy! The worst part of our experience was at check-in! The woman at the desk who upon asking for my name for the reservation accusingly said my card was declined when I reserved the room. I produced the card and it of course went through just fine. It was her tone that was rude. I didnt appreciate it at all! When I made the reservation I chose the option to pay at the time of check-in not in advance.

If a person is checking in for 4 people there should be 4 towels or offer some towels to be delievered. The slow breakfast coming out for the amount of people eating in morning is a bit sad.

Shower drainage is clogged

I would definitely recommend it. Very clean and quiet at night. It felt like we were the only people sleeping there. Very nice and breakfast was great too.

Easy check in & breakfast included

It was quite concerning to be in a room with two small children and find that there was metal from a broken cable sticking out of a wall outlet. This was above the table in the room. My daughter pointed it out to me and I had to use a shirt and toe-clippers to grip it and pull it out.

Weird location but it’s a great hotel

The room is very dark because there aren’t enough light fixtures. There are only three lamps with low wattage bulbs in our room. Worse yet, one of the bulbs is broken. The person at the front desk doesn’t answer the phone. We had to go to the front desk to ask for a new light bulb. However, she showed no interest in helping us, claiming that the maintenance person had already left. Since the room is unbearably dark, I asked if she can possibly take a light bulb from an unused lamp in the back office and have the maintenance person replace it the next morning. She flat out refused to do anything to help. Her favorite reply to any question or request seems to be “I can’t help you with that.” I have stayed at many other Holiday Inn Express hotels. Her attitude has to be the worst by far.

We stay here when visiting family who live in the area. Very quiet and THE best breakfast around!

Note: Park in visible areas though and advisable do not leave anything inside visible from windows, ie jackets, bags, suitcases, or window breakage and theft may happen. But that is true all over the bay area these days.

Parking is a little scary with homeless running around the hotel. I noted that some vehicle got their windows broken into. I made sure that there are nothing visible in my vehicle to avoid the headache of a break in. Shattered window glass was next to my vehicle. Breakfast was good, front desk person was on a personal call and I waited 10 minutes to be helped.

We liked the attention we received from the receptionist when we arrived. The were all very nice.

Though right by a highway, the room was very quiet. And the breakfast can not be beat!

The customer service was excellent! Owen looks out for guest safety and the front desk staff were very accommodating. If you're looking for a clean hotel with nice-sized rooms, comfortable bed, and a full hot breakfast, this is the place to go. I've stayed here many times and won't hesitate to do so again.

It’s clean and more upgraded than the Holiday Inn Express at Berkeley on University Ave. My only issue the bathroom does not have a ceiling exhaust fan so taking a shower was terrible because everything in the bathroom including the counter tops and towels got very moist, practically dripping wet. They need to install exhaust fans in their bathrooms.

The stay was excellent! Very clean, comfortable bed, great linens and good breakfast. I would stay there more but I travel with my little dog usually. Sadly they dont allow pets.

Holiday Inn is my first choice for good basic lodging at a reasonable price. This one was well-maintained and very clean.

the people in the fronds were not friendly at all, very rude… the carpet in the room was dirty and the bed had stains… They did not have water to drink!! you had to go to the machine to go buy it…for the money we paid it is not word it..very expensive and very low quality
