Was in San Jose for a conference and enjoyed my 4-night stay. Used the gym daily, it worked out well. The spa was nice too. Hotel staff were very friendly, helpful, and pleasant!

Everything was wonderful but the breakfast was unreasonably pricey.

The room was spacious, but no soaps, lotions or amenity kits. Towels were stained—we went and bought towels to use. And the Beds feel like you are sleeping on Springs. Get your act together Marriott.

front desk staff was very friendly and took their time to help me out well i don't get on elevators so i had to look for stairs and it was very complicated finding them lol I took me like 20 minutes of going all around. then on Sunday during the rock n roll run event happening, i tried to go use restroom located on seconds floor and they would not let us go in without a room key. i obviously did not have it with me because i was getting ready to run. that was disappointing. i did also pay for parking and my reservation said it was going to be $53.00 and I got charged $65 :(

The parking ? You guys should provide us with free parking. Why did we have to pay for our own parking ?

The sheets were not ironed and unclear if someone slept in the bed before or not. It was too cold in the room and the duvet was thin, the bed was not comfortable. The room was on a third floor next to the gym and conference rooms, it was quite noisy.

i got there late and the front desk person that checked me in did such a smooth efficient job. super smooth and enjoyed the stay.

Staff was kind of neutral luke warm

The room was neglected the air conditioning unit was making a few deafening noice all night! Had the engineer come in at 4am but he was unable to fix . Also the front desk staff was very rude and racist in my opinion, my girl wanted to use the restroom really bad but they said it was out of order and that she needed to provide a ID. Then they made her check in under my name and made her go all the up to our room on the 24th floor

Room was amazing and spotless , just wish I didn’t have to pay for WiFi when I had to leave but other than that’s good place to stay

Everything was great.y only issue was that there was someone playing very loud music until 6am and no one from the hotel stopped them. I heard several people complaining about it as well.

I was really happy with everything until I woke up to these obnoxious women playing music and talking loudly. They were told to quiet down by the staff after I called but they eventually started talking loudly again. I heard someone saying something about me writing a bad review and the lady said I will tell everyone about her if she does . Maybe she works there? I don’t know.

Music thumping until 10pm. When I asked staff when the music would stop because I had little ones, one guy at the front desk was cordial but the other stared ahead without even looking at me. He couldn’t be bothered. Also, $53 for valet?! Egregious!

Everyone was great. Room was beautiful. My 6 year said “we are rich!” When she saw the bathroom.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Toilet flushed twice every time, which in CA is an issue. Room service food was passable...pizza was cold but tasty, wine was hot but drinkable and I will buy a bottle at a later date to enjoy at the right temp. Gelato was very good! Valet pickup was a bit crazy and the poor guy seems quite confused so pack your patience. Otherwise, great stay.

Very nice hotel, clean and speedy service, valet parkinh a little expensive, consider not having linen equipment on the aisles, not a good image. Other than that it was a pleasent stay.

The only issue I have with this hotel would be the sink and the bathroom. I believe that you guys have some plumbing issues taking really long for the water to go down and the shower had some water pressure issues

One of the staffs at the Marriott club restaurant was a bit rude each time I went to ask her for something while having breakfast, I had to mention it to her other colleague , was not pleasant at all.

Horrible, No power, A/C or elevators. Could have broke out in a riot at any minute. Total dark and no way to get out in an emergency. They should close this place down till completely rehab’d.

The restaurant had a wonderful burger. Wait staff there was friendly. Desk staff was ok. Not to friendly nor rude. Hotel room was clean and spacious. Empty fridge was a nice amenity to use. I do however feel they could easily offer a complimentary breakfast.

Very clean amenities. Friendly staff. Easy check in and out. But why is WiFi $14/day per person? In tech valley? Doesn’t make sense to me. Was happy we could at least connect to Netflix on the room TV.

Staff was amazing at promptly checking us in. We waited less than 2 minutes, even though there were multiple families in line. Staff are friendly and helpful. We loved that food delivery drivers are allowed to drop off at your room door, and we didn't have to walk downstairs to get our food in the lobby. Only a few minutes from the SAP Center, very convenient. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Walking distance to all my needs

The room we stayed in had no proper working ventilation in the bathroom. So it made the bathroom so hot to shower inside. Also the room has no proper airflow. The AC would be blowing at its lowest temp but the room would not stay cool. As a warm sleeper, it was bad. The hallways were way cooler.

The hotel room was very basic and they didn’t have everything stocked in the room. They charged $45 to park our car overnight in the parking garage. They should at least included that with how the cost of the hotel. I will never stay there again

Property wouldn’t let me cancel with refund or transfer to a different location due to booking mistake and the hotel parking garage was full on arrival. They charge extra for parking, early check in, breakfast and WiFi. Disappointed in this location and the service.

My children loved it! The staff was great! A huge shout out to Greg! He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great especially with 2 under 4. Definitely coming back!

The beds are too short and I am 5”5. Slept uncomfortably. Noise coming from outside even when there weren’t many cars. One of the female servers didn’t want to be bothered when I was calling her to get help. Overall poor experience

I enjoyed the convience of the location. Right in the center of downtown near many shops, good eats, bars, & lounges. The property itself was beautifully decorated, clean, & has amazing views. They suggest vallet parking however i parked in public parking lot overnight & lyft throughout the city.

If I ever need to stay in San Jose again, I will probably stay at the San Jose Marriott again. I was able to drive easily in the convention center parking garage that appeared clean and safe, park my car, and take a short walk across the parking garage to the elevator door that opened one floor up at the hotel lobby. Easy and fast check-in, into my room, and I hit the heated pool and hot tub. Upon return to my room I enjoyed the modern bathroom and shower. A short walk to Morton's for dinner and back to my room. It was really quiet and I was glad that my room did not have a noisey mini-fridge.

Perfect place to stay!! Especially if attending an event at the San Jose Civic as it’s right across the street!

My personal property was stolen by valet staff and a report was made with police. The hotel and valet staff were defensive and mistreated me during my staff. All nights were noisy with doors opening and closing all night, females screaming down the hallway, toilet not flushing and finding human hair in room when entering cleaned room. Staff overcharged me and accused me of things. They charged me for water that I never opened and accused me of cancelling my stay which I did not. They take no accountability for their mistakes. The property stolen was over 20k and they refused to take accountability. Stay away

We were greeted warmly upon arrival. Because of an event we were attending on check out morning, we requested a late check out. The clerk was very kind and accommodated. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The only thing I felt missing was a microwave. Glad we had a small refrigerator!

Alison is wonderful. The Valet team is what makes this place funtion. The room was just ok. Very noisy. Even 16 floors up. Spent alot to stay for 2 nights.

Valet parking was not available at check in, had to wait an hour for valet parking. Had to park in another place waiting for valet parking. Check in was okay. Check out was okay, had a problem with being charged for WiFi connection but straightened out. Valet parking personnel were okay. Bakery/store personnel were somewhat indifferent to customers.

An excellent large room with sweeping views, impeccably clean, wonderful staff, bars and restaurant in the lobby and conveniently connected to the convention center!

Despite it being the holidays and crowds were high, every member we encountered were warm and quite lovely. The room was spacious and very clean. The pool area was a lovely cove to relax in. Definitely will stay here again and again.

We stayed in a king room. It has lots of room the bathroom was a good size with a nice walk in shower. But the shower had horrible water pressure. The rooms have a great view of the city. The breakfast was ok but very limited. But overall the property was very nice and well located in down town. Will definitely stay there again any time we are in town.

Goof

Parking was $60 for less than 24 hours. Long black curly hair plainly in sight on the bathroom counter. Restaurant menu advertised fresh squeezed orange juice for $8 - but it was bottled from concentrate and gross. Could hear our upstairs neighbors as if they were inside our room and could hear everything going on in the hallway. It was loud all night. For the money I expected better.

Too expensive for not high quiality

The whole experience was good , only downside is the room I was given was next to some kind of maintenance room and the ice machine so random bumps were heard also some weird vent purging noice went off throughout the night and one wall mounted lantern like light I couldn’t figure out how to turn it off - the staff though from the valet , concierge, to the maintenance guy all friendly and very helpful definitely giving them all 5 stars

It's a nice place. Service was good. The pool in hot tub were clean. It was nice to have a bar And restaurant downstairs. The walls are a little thin though as we heard a lot of loud people late at night walking through the Halls or coming off the elevator.

This hotel was so much fun! We enjoyed the spa and the late checkout. It was also nice having late night access to the pool table! The only downside was parking accommodations.

I loved the hotel! I’m an ex hotel room inspector so I am very picky on cleanliness and everything. The hotel was fantastic! Everything from the front desk, lobby, hallways, room, it all felt & looked so clean! I’d definitely go back and stay! The pillows & bed were so comfortable like sleeping on a cloud.

My wife and I had a great time from a Sunday to Tuesday stay! The hotel host were really helpful and friendly. We had access to their M Lounge and it was very convenient! Great breakfast and dinners, snacks were nice and refreshing and the coffee machines were perfect for all your different preferences! Our room on the 23rd floor windows were clean for a great view of the city! The hotel is right in the middle of down town so we didn’t have to use our car at all the whole time we stayed everything was walking distance and they have a train stop right outside! Great area!! Our only problem with our room was both our nightstand lights kept flickering for some reason and bothering us both so we just kept those off we didn’t feel it was a major issue to bring it to staffs attention but other than that I would and will definitely be coming back to stay here again! Amazing and relaxing experience

Details were amazing from quality of bedding to shampoo.... fantastic stay! Having live music is a nice added touch to the lobby restaurant, only recommendation is for the music to be 'background' sound level, the singer was a little too loud... everything else was FANTASTIC!
