Best Western Lanai Garden Inn & Suites

Not very good. Breakfast was meager at best. They had packets of instant oatmeal that was so old it was hard. They had Pluto limited with no local channels. Not a very well maintained place. Not worth the price.

It was easily accessible to the freeway, close but we could not hear any traffic going by. The staff was friendly and it was an easy stay. The air-conditioning was loud in the room but kept it at a good temperature. Good variety of choices for breakfast and well stocked.

I picked Best Western because I thought it would be the BEST choice. It didn’t turn out to be the best. The property needs updating. Furniture was older as well as the bedding. TV was difficult to watch without instructions to connect to a channel. There was not a menu option. Breakfast choices were several.

It needs major renovation. Plus the entrance / road to get to the lobby is confusing. PARKING spaces are super narrow and guests with huge trucks / SYV’s DENTED my new car (passenger and driver’s doors).

The staff is always very welcoming, friendly, and do their best to accommodate special requests. This hotel typically has high occupancy when I have stayed. That said, the hotel undergoes a lot of wear and tear. The place is clean, comfortable and in a good location. I appreciate access to the hot tea, coffee and juice at night. I wish they has fluffier towels. Other than that, I'm good!

This Best Western was very nice and well maintained. The rooms were clean, and the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. I would definitely stay at this location again. The only downside was that the pool wasn’t heated—having it a bit warmer would have been a nice touch.

This is not a hotel that you stay at with a family, it was filled with construction workers. When we arived we immediately noticed that the parking lot was a hang out spot. We got to our room and noticed that there were hand prints on the headboard of the bed....it smelled musty, the bathtub had water stains in it and the surfaces were questionable. We advised the hotel staff, only one worker in the whole hotel at this point. She was very nice and did her best to remediate the stuation and we went out to buy Lysol wipes. We tried to rough it and get some sleep but the hotel was in the intersection of a main road and freeway so it was incredibly loud. At 3am someone was being arrested outside because the police had there loud speaker on and red and blue lights were streaming in through the window. Needless to say we lasted one night and had to book another hotel for the duration of our stay. Expensive mistake.

Room is was okay, but the swimming pool had leaves inside. There was no hot tub near the pool.

I drive a full sized sprinter van and parking was a real bear. Front desk came out and assisted me!

The staff was so great, breakfast was offered and it was good. The shower pressure was fantastic! Bed and pillows were comfortable. The hotel is right next to the freeway and you do get freeway traffic noise, but it did not hinder my sleep.

For a Best Western hotel, this was average. The hotel was a little difficult to find because it was at the back of a small strip mall. My first impression was not that great because, as I drove onto the property, there was a homeless camp on the other side of the chain-link fence, which made me worry about security in the area. I was in the area on a business trip, so my expectations were not that high: just a very clean room, a clean bed, and a decent breakfast. I think I got that. The hotel was fairly clean, not great, but fairly clean. The breakfast, by way of a continental breakfast, was actually excellent. The hotel had a very impressive coffee machine that roasted cappuccino, espresso, and regular coffee, which was quite enjoyable. Not only that but they had warm breakfast items and a great selection so that was great. Overall, I would probably stay here again if I were on business. If I had family and friends, I probably wouldn't, because the area wasn't that great for nearby good restaurants. Other than that, the staff was very friendly, and the place was fairly clean. The bed was not that comfortable, and the television didn't work because it didn't get a good signal, but other than that, I was not displeased.

Parking is not free and there’s also a fee for cribs which the listing on Expedia shows free. The crib is also a play pen that’s not suitable to stay up on its own.

The room was average and the front desk staff was very nice. Unfortunately, the location isn’t the best since it’s right next to a busy freeway intersection. The view from my window was of some makeshift shelters and, so I kept the drapes closed . There was also a $5.00 parking fee that wasn’t mentioned on the website when I booked, which was disappointing.

Downstair room was a terrible choice, people could be heard upstairs walking around. Lots of noises and banging, house keeping kept knocking on door, overall got 2 hours of sleep because of the constant noises.

Negative - Woke up at 2am to hear someone getting stabbed at the homeless camp just outside my window. Wish I knew these people were here. would have chosen another hotel. Positive - Senaida at front desk was amazing. I was upgraded to the jacuzzi room, and it was amazing. Loved it. She even understood my concerns and gave me a partial refund on my stay. Thank you Senaida.

first night we were assigned room 211. That room if right at the corner of the freeway, it is noisy and feel unsafe. The morning after first day, we asked to change to another room, it is nice and not noisy from the traffic. We were very satisfied with the staff.

Good for the price. Not fancy by any means. Clean enough. If you are wanting to sleep in, there are no blackout shades so it’s pretty bright. Lobby smelled like cleaning chemicals. But everything was sufficient. Close to downtown.

Was charge $340 to my CC and when I called the property asking for an explanation/details on charge he said to call expedia. Expedia does not have my CC info so no reason to call you guys! Quiet unfortunate you guys work with this hotel.

Different treatment to customers, room not fully stocked, have to go back and forth and asked for room essentials which should be stocked in the first place. Lot of workers stay there which make lot of noise very early as 5am. Call front desk but not answering so just walk out to the front and boom, the person is sitting right there doing whatever you knew but ignored to answer the phone…

The photos looked amazing but it felt like I was catfished! The hotel is not in great shape, there were really questionable people staying there, they appeared to live there and were sort of scary- I was afraid to leave my room, stand in the lobby or walk outside at night. It’s not a good location and did not feel safe. And it was way too expensive for what it is.

I booked this hotel for my niece and her 6-month-old baby. On the second night, there were homeless individuals right outside her window, making it feel very unsafe. The staff wasn’t helpful, so she checked out early and did no stay the night. Not a safe environment—definitely wouldn’t recommend.

It was adequate for a 1 night stay after a 49ers game. Breakfast was very limited. Rooms were clean. Rooms were updated a bit but the lobby and breakfast area were pretty dated and worn. It was fine for a short stay for my family. We traveled with 2 small kids.

check in around mid night.Key could not open even receptionist helped so he used another way to open the door and tell us could not go out because could not open again.10 minutes later ,room upstair walked and used bath room but I feel like earthquake . we have to check out next day and stayed in another hotel. Lol ! this is hotel or apartment? not recommend to stay this hotel.

They were putting solar power and they started working at 7am making noice Saturday and Sunday. The staff did not take into consideration and warning it guest or give discount. I feel that construction should be in the afternoon when guest are up. They should have provided a discount or something as an apology

Pulled in and there was a tailgate going on a bunch of guys who were staying at the motel. The vending was a joke. Breakfast included individually saran wrapped pop tarts and muffins cut in two. The shower in my room was disgusting and had hair stick in the drain. The bathroom sink was so clogged the water didnt go down The sprinkler dripped water on the floor and made a puddle making it slippery to go to tge bathroom in the middle of the night. This is a 2 star at best. Will not recommend or stay again.

I should not pay parking fee if my vehicle is not secured behind a locked gate. Liquor stores across street had suspicious people

1. While checking out two women from housekeeping were hanging out in the lobby having the LOUDEST conversation. Only after the second time when i yelled at them to be quiet did they stop. The problem i was trying to solve is i couldnt hear the front desk person who was behind plexiglass. Its not a problem that any employee is haveing a nice chat its just that it was kind of rude that they were not paying attention to where they were and who was around 2. WHY does the bathroom door auto close? Who wants that? The A/C cant go in there (it was 95f out) and its annoyed to have to constantly open and close the door when getting ready. I understand that its in the way of the front door - maybe a different solution. This would keep me from rebooking.

Hello we got here around 630pm on Monday the lady at the front desk was very rude didn't say hi she was dealing with 3 people at the same time so I had no idea when she was talking to me !!! The bed was very uncomfortable I kept tossing and turning the breakfast wasn't really hot

I was traveling from Portland to Anaheim and it was perfectly located for my overnight stop and was located right at the freeway off and on ramp. The public areas were a bit less clean than I'm used to, but my room was nice, clean and spacious.

It was hard to find. GPS was very confused.

The hotel price was a little expensive without free parking or a gym/fitness center. It looks like they have remodeled the property. The room was comfortable.

Every time we stayed at Best Western. We were greeted with friendly staff that welcome us and told us about the breakfast served everyday. The rooms were nice and clean and comfortable. When we come into San Jose we stay at Best Western at Lanai and Tully rd

The room is very nice, but the TV is about 40" with a huge room (I had the jacuzzi room). Free parking which is a huge plus. On Saturday, I was just done with my morning schedule and had free time until 5pm. I went to my room, but I was unable to get in because the key did not work. I asked 2 housekeepers to see if they could let me in since my keycards were not working. They told me to go downstairs. I explained that I was very tired and would like to nap, but would see the front desk before I headed back. They refused so I went downstairs to find out why my keycards did not let me access so they took care of it, then I went back up to my room to rest. The jacuzzi was a huge plus! The only issue is that I had to take the top off to drain the water. Wish the breakfast hour would be a bit longer, especially on weekends, as they end their breakfast at 9am. The ice machine is located downstairs, not on the 2nd floor. The shutters were not pitch dark, so it woke me up at 6am, tried to sleep on another side. I would prefer blackout curtains over the shutters. My towel had a huge hole.

Refrigerator in first room not work, but the second room I moved to will freeze my vegetables...

I was told not to stay there if I wanted my bike there in the morning. Not a good area. Wouldn’t recommend

Overall, this hotel met our expectations. It needs updating and a new bed in the room we had. I believe the people running this hotel are doing the best they can, but it does need some love. It was clean and affordable. Mission accomplished.

Near freeway. Ice machine broken but staff was very willing to supply ice from their kitchen ice machine. Enjoyed the stay.

The mattress was a bit hard , they should have extra bed pillows. It was very clean.

I like the idea of on the wall of the shower shampoo, body wash etc, but hard to push and got clogged. I appreciate lotion being in the room, however small bottles which were also hard to squeeze out the lotion.

I liked that close to the freeway and was affordable and safe. The breakfast was limited but not a deal breaker.

Right after I checked in at about 7pm there was an altercation in the hallway directly in front of my door. I heard a woman screaming and a man shouting. It was frightening as I looked out of the door peek hole and saw the woman running in the hallway and screaming. I called the front desk and they said “there was a domestic fight but the woman is gone now”. I don’t think I’ll stay here again.

The owner requires a 100 dollar deposit on a 100 dollar room. All of the amenities in the room were malfunctioning to some degree. The window shade and glass frame were broken and impossible to open. The shower would not get hot.

Viewing my window homeless encampment was visible, air conditioning was not proper even though I changed settings it was warm the day I arrived, the person checking me in was very un professional does not need to comment or needs to know my business, I checked out around 6:15 am breakfast was not ready I had to ask for a drink and the machine was not turned on, I will reconsider staying at a best western

Property was clean. Breakfast included was good enough. Night staff was unprofessional and unavailable because of their child at work. Noisy from lobby, facilities nearby and construction on the freeway. Hated the auto-sensor light by the door. Had to block the sensor with the ironing board just so it doesn’t go off and wakes everyone up when someone uses the restroom. Towels look clean but extremely rough. Facility needs new towels!
