This is an old Hilton. The lobby and dining room look like they have had some work done, but the rooms are nothing special. Sheets were clean, but rug was old and stained. One of the shower walls had dried toothpaste or body scrub caked on. The worst thing was when the power went out at around 2:00 am. The room was so hot and uncomfortable. My entire family overslept and we rushed out to work and school. Will not be returning.

Don't stay here especially with rental car during the weekend.

Stay was ok until Saturday evening. We came back to hotel at 6pm after a long day of dance competition. We were tired and hungry. The problem was there was NO parking. I prepaid $10 per night on top of hotel stay and there was ZERO parking! There was a large wedding at hotel. We drove around for over an hour! Dozens of cars driving around underground parking area honking at each other and getting backed up going no where. I finally got lucky when someone pulled out exactly where I was stuck. Otherwise I don’t know what we would have done. Hotel guests should have priority over wedding guests. Ridiculous!

I will say the only problem I had was there was no microwave in our room so all of our food had to be either eaten cold or just thrown away

The staff were all very friendly and so helpful. Kudos to Vincent for being so helpful. It was a nice touch to be texted daily to check if we needed anything. We ate in Jason’s restaurant both nights. Everything was delicious and the staff were great - friendly and cheerful. Excellent experience. Bottom line, while it is more expensive than other hotels, it will be our choice when we have to travel anywhere close. Thank you to everyone at this Hilton!

Room was large, bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly and kind. Underground parking was very convenient. I did not eat at the hotel, but i did have a couple of drinks in the bar and tho the drinks were expensive, the bartending staff was great.

Wonderful location if you seeking for good and authentic Chinese food. This area is quite safe. Only $10/day for parking which is fair enough in LA. Only thing I would complain is the hardware facility of the room is bit old and no fansy view.

After the second day, we came back from outside at night, we felt the room all wet, we turned on the vent and adjust the A/C cooler even though we were out. But all the cloth with the wet smelly, third and fourth day got worse. We needed to clean up all the cloth even the cloth not wear. The third night, there was a fault alarm. The hotel announced all the guests had to be evacuated immediately and walked down from the stairs. We stayed at the top floor and it was after midnight. We all wake up and went down. A lot of guests were down as well. No extra staff at the lobby, we still not sure if that was fault alarm. We waited until the only one lady finished the check-in with the couples new guests. The lady said she had been answering all the phone call for a long time. I appreciated her work, but why they didn’t announce for the whole hotel again it was fault alarm to avoid people coming down at the midnight. At least to send more staffs out for the explanation at lobby. Probably not come back next time.

The front desk is friendly and helpful. There's an event at the hotel and the parking lot was full, the staff walked in front of my car to look for a parking that I could park overnight, very amazing.

The room was nice. I did experience hair all around the bathroom floor from a previous guest. There was also a knocking noise coming from the next room most of the morning. Other than that, my stay was wonderful. Thank you.

I would probably stay here again if prices were a little more on the low side since there are two newer hotels like Holiday Inn and Courtyard near by. Daily parking fee is only $10 which is lower than other hotels.

Overall, the room did show signs of wear and tear. Leather from the chairs were lifted, there were painted over cracks in the restroom, and the batteries in the remote were not replaced.

The breakfast wasn't free. It costs $27. Parking was very limited, but available. Staff was very friendly and the hotel was very clean. The carpet needed a bit more cleaning, but otherwise everything was fine.

Staff were extremely unaccommodating. I called in advance to ask about checking in early and notified the property about a service dog at the time of booking - both requests of which they were unaware and very unaccommodating about. Disappointing given the reputation of a Hilton.

I have stayed in this hotel for a long time B4, also enjoy it for the location of all the restaurants and eateries, even though it’s a little older property. Recently they opened a restaurant and it’s a good Chinese restaurant for dim sum and seafood but the problem is the parking at street level is scarce. In addition, I was not happy when for the 3 night’s stay there I was not able to get housekeeping service NOT EVEN ONCE!! And it’s after numerous attempts to asked for the service.

Hotel is a bit dated and old. Particularly inside the bathrooms you can see some of the paint peeling, some mildew and mold build up in shower and just generally not as clean.

There was a water leakage under the sink in our room which meant a puddle formed on the bathroom tiles. The toilet flushing was not really adequate as it was quite weak. Additionally, the carpet had a weird odor to it when we stepped into the room initially.

Been going to this hotel every time we visit San Gabriel. It convenient location to dining and shopping. I just got back from the East Coast and stayed at different hotels that now I regret. Hilton is a very good hotel brand and worth the money.

Hotel was great! The staff made it super easy to check-in and out. Paul was fantastic and super friendly during breakfast hours. The pool was kept clean at all times, and the gym facility as well. Would recommend this hotel is you’re staying in LA, somewhat close by to most attractions.

Great experience. Staff were lovely and super helpful. Very clean. We stayed for a concert, and staff gave us lots of helpful idea and information. They had great recommendation for nearby Asian restaurants and playparks for our 5 year old to play. Looked after our nanny's needs too. Will definitely look at booking book this hotel next to we visit San Gabriel.

The staff were so accommodating. We came in from Phoenix earlier than planned and they gave us our room three hours early. Plenty of parking. Hotel is clean and well kept. Will definitely use again. Very happy.

We were disappointed with the housekeeping who did not service the room as we were informed that they would. We had to go to reception to request fresh towels and the garbage taken out. The reception staff were very apologetic and organised this to be done right away. There was some areas in the shower that was mouldy that could be cleaned better but that is a minor issue. The main downside about the property as a whole was the underground parking area was very dirty and smelly, especially later at night as the water pipes would be opened and drained in the middle of the parking lot causing the entire area to smell bad.

Elevator smelled worse than the NYC subway system. Cob webs ask over the place where they don't clean. Water fountain doesn't work which is an indication of other issues internally.

Hilton LA/San Gabriel is an excellent hotel. They excel in hospitality, and the front desk service is very good to Hilton members. They focus on providing more convenience for guests, which I appreciate.

The hotel is kind of old and the bathroom toilet in the room need more clean. But the property in center very convenient, markets , shopping and restaurants around very close by the hotel.

Only complaint was that even though we had a parking pass (which we were charged $10 a day for), we had warning letters left on our vehicle 3 times about parking "illegally". Staff told us to ignore the letters.

Rooms were outdated, the door stopped was broken with a nail sticking out, dangerous since my child was trying to play with it. The privacy door tag was rip, beds were comfortable but pillows were way too soft.

The building itself is old and the room has a "old stuffy" smell and our room was facing the lot full of junk and broken building materials. We moved to another hotel in less than 2 hours.

Property could use major upgrades as we noticed a lot of issues with our room. Extremely run down - paint chipping throughout the bathroom, dirty faucet and it didn’t feel clean. You have better options in the area for the same price

The next day, the manager called and politely told us that a refund had been arranged through the booking website. It was handled quickly and simply. We will book this hotel again next time.

The hotel was really out dated, the outside looks nice but the rooms are older and just to be fixed. Comfy beds though and rooms are big. Carpets were not very new needs to be changed and also furniture needs new ones. Great location for foods though. It's all walking distance.

Front desk was really nice. Facility was just very old and outdated. Multiple parts in the room was visibly patched up but was patched very poorly. Bathroom door was rusty and ceilings were discolored, cant brlieve thats Hilton quality! The towels and bedding were quality. Toiletries are standard Hilton toiletries internationally (Crabtree).

The carpet was wet and we had move to another room. The next one we had smell like cigarettes but didn’t feel like moving again so we stay.

Check in was fast and efficient. Room was spacious. This meant a lot for a long traveling day.

No tissue ! The whole bathroom was full of water after taking a shower, kids slipped! bad experience !The room was very noisy.

I lost my T-shirt somewhere so I was calling Hilton that I stayed last Sunday just to make sure that I didn’t left it there. I called for 5 times. Edward answered 5 times. He would not give me the number to the lost and found. I just wanted to check if I left it there. He was following the instructions that he supposed to I guess. But it was the worst call that I’ve ever experienced. I was even asked him if he is a robot. He hand up on me 4 times. Because of him I would never stay there again. I would definitely would not recommend anyone stay at Hilton ever.

Recommended if you're looking for a hotel in the area. We only stayed for one night, but everything was very clean. Staff is friendly. parking lot isn’t gated, but the staff is attentive and makes sure only guests use it. Elevator access is also secure—only those with a reservation can use it. The water pressure was a bit low, but not a dealbreaker. Overall, a good experience and we would rebook.

It’s a very good place to stay

Loved the room and the lobby. There was a musty smell in the room but not overwhelming. Love the new shower also. The halls seemed to be a bit worn as did the elevator areas.

If you are planning a trip to the San Gabriel area, the Hilton is the place to stay! Rooms are clean and very livable. Many dining option in easy walking distance from Hilton. It’s my go to hotel when I am in LA.

It’s an old hotel, very old. Tv has nothing you can do with it. With that price you can have a better choice.

The hotel is adequete, but not what you would expect a Hilton to be. The lobby and exterior look decent, but its an old hotel with parking far from the front, semi clean rooms, and old fixtures and furnishings.

Staff was wonderful. We did have an issue with late night construction. They corrected matters right away.

We enjoyed our stay here in January. We went to the Rose Parade and Rose bowl and we chose this hotel since it was conveniently located about a 15 minute drive away. The front desk staff were very responsive and friendly. The staff at Jason's bar and grill were outstanding. The breakfast buffet at Trinity restaurant was overpriced in my opinion ($50 for two buffet breakfasts). The rooftop garden was not accessible as it was being renovated. Our room overlooked the rooftop garden and it was not a pleasant view. The pool is technically indoor on the 2nd floor but with no ceiling. It was too cold during our stay to use the pool. Parking was plentiful and affordable at just $10 per day. Our room was made up and fresh towels replaced everyday.

The last night was terrible, the whole hotel had no electricity neither electricity plant

No one came around to let us know what was going on. I asked the front desk if they were giving refunds or partial refunds and I was told i could have left if i wanted to! Unreal!

The hotel listed offer heated pool but the pool water never heated up to normal temperature, This was also happened to me last month when I stayed. The manager should do the better job for what was offered and listed as an amenities to the customers. Thanks

Facility and rooms are kind of outdated and need some makeover. The staff on housekeeping sometimes does a great job but sometimes not. During my stay, there were times when I was left with only one set of towels when I had 4 sets unused inside the room before housekeeping was done. Nit sure why they took over the clean ones. The front desk staff was helpful and courteous. They provide a number so I can request services etc just by texting them, which is a great and convenient feature! Love it!

I needed a hot water pot and Milinda took care of us also helped us check in a little early. Had to check out a little late and Diane took care of it for me. This was all done via text. Area around hotel has a lot of walking distance good and grocery shopping (especially if you’re Chinese) , also charging station and gas station (ARCO) nearby. But it’s the customer service that will bring me back here! Thank you.
