Great experience at the W in San Francisco. The remodeling made it hard to fully enjoy the hotel and lobby area as it used to be very fun and lively. I am sure the new remodel will be just as lovely. But the room we had was amazing. We were upgraded since they knew it was our 20th wedding anniversary. We are thankful to the great staff who made our stay lovely.

After seeing all of that, I did not feel comfortable in the room and honestly felt like I was sleeping in a space that had not been properly cleaned. On top of that, the room was very noisy and we did not get good sleep. We called the front desk to ask about the noise, but they were not really able to do anything. Overall, this was a really disappointing stay, especially for a suite. I would consider other properties for future stays in San Francisco.

One of my favorite parts of the trip was how easy it was to explore the city on foot. Start your morning with breakfast at The Grove, enjoy happy hour with bay views at Waterbar, and finish the evening with excellent sushi and Japanese cuisine at Ozumo. If you’d rather stay in, the hotel itself offers a great atmosphere for drinks, dinner, and relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The W combines a stylish, modern vibe with a prime downtown location, making it an excellent choice for anyone visiting San Francisco. I would definitely stay here again

I booked room with Expedia with 3 friends and they canceled my room we took the train out there then road the ferry to have a good time and they had no consideration very rude all because they would not except 300 cash deposit I had to walk to the bank 5 minutes away and that was there excuse to cancel room for no reason left us stuck in SF worst place ever racism at its finest! 700$ room and they treated me and my family so horribly wrong I never recommend this hotel ever !

Luxe accommodations for a great price. The staff were absolutely, marvelously, friendly, helpful, and attentive. Place was impeccably clean. Nice contemporary decor. Lovely smell everywhere you went.

Great room with a great view. Lupe the hotel manager and William at the Bar made our stay extra special. We were there to celebrate our 17th year wedding anniversary and had nothing but great service. I just wish I had realized my stay included SF MOMA tickets so I could have planned accordingly and possibly visited. Oh well just another excuse to come again.

Lovely stay, easy valet parking they bring up your car with a text message. Room was spotless cleaned the staff was super nice and helpful. They even recommended a beautiful restaurant.

W Hotel delivered the luxurious and unique environment. Definitely had a good stay but I felt something simple as the ice maker not working wouldn’t be something that they would lack.

This is always my go-to hotel when I am in San Francisco. The area is clean and safe, the staff is very attentive, and the room is always clean, comfortable, and stylish. This last visit, they were able to accommodate my early check-in time so I could handle a conference call. They have a fun and lively lobby/bar area. I highly recommend staying here.

I loved the way it was decorated and the vibe you felt walking through at any time of the day. Very fun, clean, and great staff. I felt very welcomed by everyone and will definitely be back. A little pricey! but hey, you know it is going to deliver with comfort and cleanliness.

Only issue I had was with valet parking. it was very very annoying because they recommended to order your car 20mins in advance. I waited 1 hour and 20 mins for my car. I consistently checked with the valet parking managers and they lost the keys and couldn’t update me. I elevated the issue to managers, and they comped the $92 overnight parking. Other than this, I really enjoyed my stay, but maybe order your car 30mins to 40mins in advance rather than 20. Valet parking is also very hard to find, think the website needs more information on this. Just fyi, valet parking is super super tight fit since the entrance is also the exit.

The king bed does have a wooden frame that I have bumped and scratched my leg a few times already, and I wish the upgraded room had a couch to rest on aside from the balcony seating view space. Everything else has been extremely welcoming, and the staff have made it an enjoyable stay!!

He was extremely professional and friendly, and it felt real personal in a great way. The San Francisco W hotel was pleasant. My wife and I stayed there for one night and it was convenient to restaurants, transportation and Oracle park. The staff was very accommodating and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel offered valet parking and, if needed, there is one EV charger available.

Julian, the bellhop was amazing. He helped us from start to finish with our stay there very friendly and the guy deserves a raise. We went on our honeymoon and they made sure that we had anything we needed and some extras which was great. Check-in was great everything was I will be staying there again.

Checked out 20 mins later, no car. Valet said that he received no text. I checked my phone and a message was returned to me saying that the claim # was invalid / not recognized. That was info populated by the qr code. A better solution for parking would be welcomed to lower my anxiety level around the current system

Top-tier all the way around - wish we were in town for a longer stay! Even stored bags and car for a matinee Giants game the next day. The friendliest, most accommodating staff! Missed the restaurant open hours, but the Living Room bar had great after hours food and service. Loved all the luxurious amenities and had just a fantastic experience!

I liked the place, being next to SF MOMA, and I would stay there again. The frost desk people and all staff were great. However, I was taken aback by the $40 per day fee. I applied the fee to room service (it does not apply to the minibar), to avoid a waste of the money, but that is very pricy and was not optimal.

Overall very nice. Great location for our needs. Very attentive and pleasant staff. Glad the "resort fee" was included in the quoted price this time. It's annoyingly restricted, but at least now they are being mostly honest about it. Wish they'd use fitted sheets. Normally I don't require daily room cleaning, but the sheets came loose every night and I was glad for them to come remake the bed each day. Place was very clean, but some of the upolstery was showing a bit of wear.

Excellent customer service

Front desk staffs were super nice, willing to listen and accomodate our requests. Dining and breakfast were obviously understaffed, waited long time to even make a takeout order. Gym is well equipped, only disappointment was no swimming pool/spa, considering this is a 4.5 star hotel.

Check-in on the Bonvoy app was suboptimal as it did not give a virtual key requested. However, that was the only hiccup for our whole stay. Everything else was great!

Excellent service from the moment I stepped out of my car. Would absolutely stay again.

Room was for two people and had only 1 barstool or floor cubes to use as a chair. For in room dining had to sit on bed for us to eat. Seating in room was a window seat that you used another cube to step on to climb into the window seat. Weird. At $400 a night I guess expecting 2 chairs was too much for Marriott.

Trifling how the W presents its property to hard working paying customers. A lot of bigotry energy from staff as well.

The staff, except for the Valet and bartender, were not very friendly. I booked the room a month in advance, paid for, but upon arrival they tell me there is a "destination fee" of 40$ a day nonrefundable. Plus they put a $300 hold on my card. I was like whatever. Then they said we'll have a bottle of wine as a gift for our anniversary. They never fulfilled that promise and acted like it was never told to us upon checking in. It was an overpriced room. Wallpaper pealing. Toilet would not flush until you tried numerous times. Bed rock hard. Pillows horrible. The location to the bay was great but above that, I would never recommend the W to anyone. They took advantage of us and my bill was not reflective of the service or stay. Way too much for way too little. I'll stay elsewhere next time.

It’s a nice hotel, the registration was quick and easy. The rooms were nice and clean.

The front desk staff and valets were wonderful. They checked us in early and gave us tips about a parade blocking streets the next day. We had bad service in the bar area but the manager of the bar came along eventually and made it all right.

It was ok the room was great. My room was next to the elevator and you can heard it all the time and it seems to be close to the service room because they were making noise all day. also I had a no disturb sign and the house- keeping knoc at my door them left saying sorry.

The hotel was clean, and the staff was very friendly. The area around the hotel was very walkable and clean, and very easy to catch an uber/lyft outside to anywhere you'd like to go. I would definitely stay here again the next time I decide to visit.

Lovely hotel located so conveniently close to Moscone center and Metreon and SF MoMa. You are also within walking distance of good eateries. The corner room had a breathtaking view of the surrounding area and it was so cute and clean. Bed was comfortable as well. We had two complementary drinks at the bar as well. Overall I enjoyed our stay at W and will stay here again for sure.
