Travelodge by Wyndham San Francisco Bay

DON’T PARK HERE! We stayed here along with our friends and it’s $25 to park I. The lot. The next morning we found the back window in our car busted out and our friend had 2 widows very badly cracked. 24 hour attendant in office said he heard nothing although we were parked very near the office. Security cameras do not work and parking lot lights in that area not on.

Good accommodations.

Meltable cars got broke in to be careful. Take your stuff into your room

Well, we did not appreciate that our family went to visit us at the hotel in San Francisco a few hours and the front desk charged them $25 for parking. We did not even have a car, so it was not like we were taking up 2 parking's or they were stay overnight. As much as we payed for the few days were there, we would figure it would be ok to go out for dinner with the family for a few hours.

The staff was great as we had checked in a bit late in the evening. They had recommended a pizza place next door which was pretty good. The property as well as the room were clean. However there was a few shortfalls with maintenance within the room. Specifically the back side of the bathroom door. The door had been damaged and it appeared that to hide the damage, a few coats of paint were slapped over the damage and the lamination was peeling away from the gram of the door itself. Aside from that, the building was in great shape for its age.

It is clean ideal location to Pier 19, Marina Green, Presidio, Union Square, the trams No microwave or cups in room

My sister and I were traveling alone and needed a place to stay in San Francisco on a budget. Safety is always my top concern. When we got our room, (first of all they didn't tell us where to find it) we had to walk through a dark, sketchy parking garage and climb up two flights of stairs in a different building that wasn't even connected to the hotel. They were having issues with their card reader at the front office too, so they needed me to come back there later. It was a very disorganized operation. That being said, it was a decent room with a bed and AC. Could've been worse. They also had parking with no height restrictions for $25 a night, though it was a small lot--first come, first served. Worth the price in SF though. Overall, not a great operation or super safe location--I also forgot to mention their ice machine was broken--but it was a bed to sleep on and still in the city. 6/10

The room and the entire hotel is quiet, clean and in good physical condition. Well maintained and without any signs of disrepair or excessive wear. The place isn't fancy but it was just a pleasant place to stay. I didn't have much contact with the staff, but when I did, they were available, friendly and helpful. I didn't use the parking but it was within the building and seemed secure. The neighborhood isn't exciting but it seemed safe. I would rate the hotel overall as an excellent value.

Shower height was low and shower head was not that powerful. Felt like taking a shower at grandma's house. Ice machine outside room was out of order . Other than that it was nice. Room had refrigerator not a microwave.

I loved the location, it’s very close to the main attractions like pier 39, china town, the Golden Gate Bridge It’s a little dated, walls are thin so it can be quite noisy. There is a water fountain and ice machine where the ice machine was broken but the water fountain was working. One of the staff member should have informed us but didn’t so we kept going out to bring bottled water until the very last day.

Great stay in sf. A lot of hotels have very limited parking on property but this hotel has 3 lots so you are able to relax knowing your car is parked safely off the street. The area is perfect walking distance to food and coffee. Will definitely be booking here from now on any time I stay in the city.

Early check-in was available. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Strong and more volume of water from their shower vs. most hotels in San Francisco and Monterey. Safe parking and easy walking distance to Farmers Market and Fisherman's Wharf.

The parking of this place sucked, room was fine but the bed was hard as a rock. Also the family next to me was loud and annoying. I had a kid with me that didn’t beat on the walls like their children were and they were slamming the door open close open close all hours of the night I hear the children laughing and parents laughing too. I guess cause it’s cheap ghetto people who have no respect come here. Staff at front desk was very professional and nice

Quiet spacious room. Cheap, nice location. No fridge or microwave but has coffee in room. Holds your bags all day. Just what you want if you just want a place to sleep and that’s it.

We had a great time. Lots of space and there were a few coffee and food options walkable. Close to main bus stops, so transit was quick. Parking was a bit tight in the garage, but great stay!

I was sleeping at 10am and one of the house cleaners parked their bin blocking my door and had music playing louder on the phone than acceptable.

Room was clean and quite airy. The bath and washroom are separate and that helps. Rooms are a bit old and walls are a bit thin (sound carried over from adjoining rooms) but nothing to lose sleep over. Property is close to Van Ness-Chestnut st Muni bus stop and that is an advantage. No frills place and very economical to stay - Area and surroundings are safe, late into the night as well. There is no on site restaurant but plenty of dine in/take out places nearby. There is a gelato place closeby that I liked. Walkable to Pier39/Fisherman's whart/Ghirardelli square.

parking was extremely easy at this property, multi parking spots available. the room was clean, we even checked under the beds and you can tell the hotel staff vacuums under the beds, I will say this the staff was amazing, from the moment we checked in we were greeted by a "welcome to Wyndham San Francisco and a smile". when we arrived to the room we noticed that the restroom door handle was loose I brought it up to the staff they directed me to send and email for repairs and with in 10 minutes it was fixed. the staff makes you feel at home.

IF booking a “suite", don’t...it’s a dump. We had to book it as we had 5 people. The picture and description of the “suite" on hotel.com was different from the one assigned to us. During check in, we were told by the receptionist that it’s the only room available that has 3 beds. The room given to us had 2 queens with barely enough space to walk in. The other space had a small bed and felt like a closet converted into a room. This room had no privacy at all as one window was facing the staircase, the bathroom window was facing the walkway and had no coverings(it was frosted but you can still see through it-we used a towel to cover it). And the last window again was facing the walkway. This room description was supposed to have a shower/tub combination. It did not. It’s a toilet room that they added a corner shower stall. Lastly, insulation for the room was non-existent as you can hear everything from the street and the surrounding rooms. I’ve stayed at 1 star motels that surpasses this Travelodge.

Older, but clean property with parking and close to lots of tourist's attractions. Friendly staff and lots of food options near by. Only down side was the old AC units, couldn't regulate temperature correctly.

Room was clean; liked the rack we could get water by the ice machine; air conditioning was great. Only concern is that it was very tight to move in the bathroom.

Great Location for San Francisco Travellers

The bottom room we stayed at had bugs (spider), there was unexpected $25/night parking fee, no breakfast, the walls are not sound-proof (could hear people talking and sound of TV), no breakfast provided. We'll never stay in this Travelodge hotel near the Marina and Fisherman's Warf.

The room was clean. No amenities. Pay for parking. Very outdated.

The room was spotless, great views, a lot of near by delis, restaurants and convenience stores. 15 minute walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf (downhill) and it was perfect. All staff were very nice and they provided AMAZING hospitality. Will definitely stay here again.

Good walking distance from a lot of food choices and overall an ok stay for a night.

The staff is excellent, the hotel is a bit old but clean. It’s noisy because it’s near the street. The parking is right outside your door, but you have to pay for parking. The restaurant next-door is excellent. It’s in a great location. It’s more of a motel than a hotel. Overall, it was pretty good.

Gross. Only shared bathrooms in hallway, unsafe neighborhood with active drug deals and partying on all sides loudly thru windows (sleep would be impossible). No closet to hang clothing. No towels. Reeked of smoke. Cigarette burns on sheets. Certainly no safe, blowdryer, expectation of privacy, throw in added fear of bedbugs… I left immediately

My purse got stolen. pay to park at own risk. check in was fine. we actually had a room down the block but that room was horrible. i didnt want my kids to have yuck experience so i got this room for same night. cost me more but i was exhausted.

Great staff and clean rooms. First floor will hear people’s steps from upstairs, so try to stay in upper floors.

Honestly? This place was clean, quiet, reliable, safe, and centrally located. It's not going to win any awards or blow your mind, but it was exactly what I needed. Ice machines, elevator, vending... reliable front desk staff. Parking sounded expensive, so probably take the bus. Easy ride to downtown, the wharf, and more.

Thr staff was very good,couldn’t do enough for me. Room look good up until I went to take a shower. Noticed the exhaust was so full of dirt. It it was hanging through and off the exhaust in the ceiling. Reported it to management the girl came and looked at it and took pictures. I do not know what happens after that as I checked out.

Easy 20 minute walk to Fisherman's Wharf area. Closest 'Hop On Hop Off' Big Bus Tour stop was less than 5 minutes walk (Lombard Street Stop).

I think my experience would have been better but the front desk person to help was rather dismissive. I wasn’t able to check in 12 minutes early and walked away leaving me alone in the lobby. The rest of the staff were friendly and very helpful. Overall, the place needs a remodel or at least new carpets.

The Front Desk did accommodate and matched what Expedia gave: $133. However, he said that he can bring it down to $92 and give him $50 cash. Because I don't have a place to stay and that's after midnight, I agreed on the unprofessional transaction.

Room was a good size for four in a family. The only criticism would be the usual hotel room shower spray going on the floor because of the curtain.

Stayed 3 days and it was perfect. All of the staff were friendly and the front desk made sure we knew all of the many attractions within walking distance. There are a lot of nice options nearby for food and coffee. Room was clean and the area/property felt very safe. Will definitely put this spot on the list for any future trips.

Nice location, nice employees and office personnel. Kids had a grest time. Its an older hotel but they clean really well.

Clean and parking was $25. Felt safe in this area and the area was not far from Fisherman’s Wharf. We actually walked and enjoyed the sites. Never used my car. I would stay here again. Used the Trolley and site seeing bus to get back to the Hotel after our day was done.

The front desk was super helpful when we arrived, even got a map and showed us areas to go and avoid! The hotel was close to major attractions and felt safe. Parking was easy, worth the $25/night! Not a super fancy hotel, but a great place to stay for the price and location.

Went there for Pride. The hotel was a little out of the way but the Wharf was nearby and they had plenty of coffee houses nearby

Good location only a short walk to fishers wharf, lady at the front desk was nice letting us check in 1.5 hours early and letting us store our bags when we checked out. Only thing I could say was a slight downside was there was no fridge or microwave but still ice bucket to keep drinks cold.

Very nice clean and updated. Small and cozy with great staff. As a female traveling alone I felt completely safe. Beds were comfortable and shower was terrific with such soft water. Great location and everywhere walkable. Fantastic pizza next door at Chico’s and a Japanese restaurant I didn’t get to try but food looked fantastic. Great stay for reasonable cost in San Francisco

The hotel was not the cleanest place I’ve stayed in. My room floor had numerous stains, which gave it an unkempt appearance. The parking spaces were also quite cramped. The shower was small, leaving little room for my toiletries. To top it all off, a family member ended up being charged three times the usual rate for parking. When we arrived at midnight, the night staff assured us that our transaction had gone through. However, the next morning, I received a notification indicating that the parking fee hadn’t been processed and that I needed to provide my payment information. I had hoped the staff would be on the same page, but this mix-up ended up costing my family more money. Now, we have to take the extra step of reaching out to request a refund for a charge that shouldn’t have occurred in the first place.

We had such a fantastic time at this nicely located motel. The rooms were a little dated but large and the bathroom a little small but everything inside and out was very clean and well kept. The walk to Ghiradelli Square is only 15 min. There are 3 coffee shops, a pizza place and even a couple of bars and a liquor store within a 5 minute walking distance. We took advantage of the very reasonably priced parking and walked or took an uber everywhere. My car was accidentally left unlocked for a few hours and nothing happened! We felt very safe and thought it was pretty quiet for a city neighborhood. You can spend a lot more money to be slightly closer to all the tourist attractions and/or have fancier accommodation. But if you would rather spend your time and money enjoying SF and like a reasonable, clean safe place to sleep, this is a great option. I would stay here again.

Great, affordable stay only blocks from the wharf with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge. We had an interior room which was spacious, clean and comfortable.

We had a great two night stay. Check-in was smooth and the front desk was friendly. Room is serviced daily, plenty of towels in the bathroom, and beds were good. Paid parking was easy to use and the hotel was in walking distance to public transportation.

Oh My, staying here was GREAT!!! We had no issues at all!!! It was so close to all the marina sights. We walked to everywhere the first day (13 miles). It was so nice to be able to just return to the room and chill out and then head back out to Boudin's for sourdough/clam chowder bowls! I would recommend this for families for sure. I did see it had a vending machines and it also had a refrigerator in the room (where we kept our soda).

The location is great; a 10 minute walk to Ghirardelli Square, on main bus routes and coffee shops and a great pizza place minutes away. The motel is older and not modernized, but the beds are newer and very comfortable. The staff were helpful and the place was clean.

Location proximity to Fisherman's warft, Chinatown and Union Square. Surrounding areas are safe and clean with many dining facilities.

The door had an air gap so the heater never turned off Very walkable to pier 33,39 and fish a wharf. Very transit friendly as well

I would have given 5 stars but the ice machine on the side I stayed on was down with a note to get ice from the other side which would require me to exit the building walk around the outside. If there was a connection somewhere they didn’t mention that.

Check in was quick. There was two woman at the front desk they were so friendly and welcoming. Awesome customer service! Parking is $25 dollars but that’s way less than other hotels. It was safe and you can see your car from your room. Our room was spacious and clean. There’s restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. We will be staying here again. Thank you!

Have a holding fee of 500 and did not let the customer know ahead of time

We could smell smoke in our room at 1am and had to vacate quickly as there was a haze in the hallway. Homeless people accessed the garage and liy a fire which went through air con system. Unnerving.

Very friendly gave us a map as we were going to explore the area. Front counter man was very professional and helpful highly recommended.

hotel is good in this value, checkin staff is not helpful. for i book two room and request to stay close together instead of a separate building. it just say no not even checking. i came back after settling up and requested again front desk is checking the computer for my request. but he is good to taking luggage to stair

It was the most inexpensive option in that area. Maybe a 10 minute walk from Ghiradelli Square. The motel was pretty busy on NYE and the people on both sides of us were pretty loud and the walls are really thin. That was to be somewhat expected. It still felt like we were being packed into a small section of the motel, maybe that is normal. We stayed around for a couple extra days and the motel was much emptier by then, but it always seemed like we had people in our section even though it is a fairly large structure. Other than it feeling really crowded and cramped with other people (when I think it didn't have to be), it would have been a great experience.

I made this reservation gor my father in law with my wife’s credi tcard because she is in the hospital and the worker refused to take the card from my father in law and then told him about the parking. Whoever was working the desk last night was not very helpful

Closed to downtown for easy shopping, walkable, so many places to choose to eat, Uber and Lyft were very convenient, safe and quiet, etc.
