Reviews
The hotel is highly praised for its excellent service, comfortable rooms, and great food and drinks. However, some guests were disturbed by the noise from the surrounding area, particularly the presence of homeless people and police sirens. The spa and pool being closed was also a disappointment for some.

Pros: I went for a medical convention in the Moscone Center so the location was unbeatable for these purposes. Visited the SFMoMA next door. The staff were very welcoming, extremely friendly, and attentive. The rooms are very spacious and full of natural light. The bed and pillows are very comfortable and the room temperature was easily adjusted. Food and cocktails were particularly impressive. The fitness center and pool are open 24/7--a big perk. Cons: A couple of blocks south of the hotel can feel seedy and unsafe, particularly at night. Had a few issues with the wi-fi signal and speed.

The fact that you third party company still took money from my card when the reservation was canceled
- 5/5
The St Regis is the most accommodating hotel we have experienced period. We were so impressed with the hospitality and the attention to detail. The staff is committed to giving you a great experience and it's showed from the time we walked through the door. I want to give a special shout out to Daniel Rey and Robert for their help with providing us guidance on what the city had to offer. Our wine country tour with Joe Cohen was simply amazing. He was such a great person. We will definitely stay at the St Regis when we return to San Francisco.

The shower was the best part. Also if you need a bath to unwind they got you covered. Spa, gym, hotter all available

Nice, bed, bathroom and amenities The aspa was not working
- 5/5
The hotel staff was so welcoming and took extra care of our two children by bringing surprise cookies and milk to the room, kid size spa robes and slippers and gifts upon checkout. The food at Astra was delicious and the indoor pool was so much fun.

I was charged twice for early check in. It took four phone calls, three voicemails and sending receipts for them to refund me. There was no offer to make things right or apology. Don’t trust this tired hotel, I would recommend staying literally anywhere else in the city.

V nice staff v clean rooms will tell all my friends to visit it
- 5/5
The service was spectacular, enjoyed the restaurant as well as room service, and the room was very clean and spacious
- 5/5
Impeccable service; nice room, overall great experience
- 5/5
The only thing I would like for SF ST. REGIS to do better is to do some renovation - everything else is above criticism - by far best hotel in the city
- 5/5
The staff were courteous and accommodating to a fault. I found the public areas to be somewhat limited for such a property in this location. A bar or lounge specifically for guests would have been welcome . however, my overall experience was positive and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Rude staff , charge 40$ extra per day for no reason.. and charge 6$ everytime they need to bring delivery to the room ..

We convened for breakfast and after 20 minutes, they brought a high chair. We ordered bread toast, which was served along with the bill at the conclusion of our meal. As we were loading our car with luggage, no assistance was offered, despite the clear observation that we were accompanied by young children and our hands were occupied. The room and hotel were both quite pleasant.
- 4/5
beautiful view - 19th floor - 24 hour room service, quick staff response
- 4/5
Location. Size of the room No own spa. Significantly higher than the price of the room (all the taxes included) amount “booked” on the card at check-in (with no info on such policy on booking and no explanation at check-in)

My fiancé and I stayed at st. Regis for the first time and it was amazing! As frequent patrons of Four Seasons, we had a level of reservation towards Marriotts flagship luxury hotels; this st. Regis has certainly changed my mind. Will definitely be back at this property and will likely try other St. Regis locations in the future.

Fantastic room and service

Made a reservation in June for an August stay for a late night concert. Oversold the hotel, gave our room to someone else and we had to take an expensive Uber home at 1am. Would never book here again.
- 5/5
100% San Fran awesomeness. Beautiful view of the skyline and bustling downtown. Amazing restaurant and amenities. Top Notch!
- 5/5
Had a great stay
- 4/5
Overall, great hotel however, my air conditioner did not work properly and so I had to get somebody at night to come and fix it. Even the fix wasn’t great checking into a hotel of this level. I would expect the Aircounditioning to have Ben test tested and working.
- 5/5
Good room, service, and amenities.
- 5/5
The reasonable walk to Oracle Stadium for a Giants game for a 40th anniversary celebration brought us here. The walk was pleasant to the game. Everyone at the hotel from parking attendant to check in was great. We will likely stay again. Beware: SF parking and mixed drinks/wine are pricy. Bring $20 bills to be prepared.
- 5/5
The staff here make all the difference in the world. On the pricier end but if you want a nice view with great assistance- luggage valet accommodating- not just accommodations, you will not be disappointed. For business - doesn’t make too big of a difference. For a couple - it’s a must.
- 5/5
Beyond that, the staff was absolutely wonderful. Everyone I interacted with was kind, sweet, and genuinely eager to help. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and accommodating. Whether it was providing local recommendations or handling special requests, their warm and professional attitude made all the difference. We had breakfast every morning we stayed, Monuea made our breakfast even more enjoyable.
- 5/5
Hands down one of the best hotels in San Francisco. The staff is wonderful, friendly and efficient. The hotel is beautifully appointed, central and a great base from which to visit San Francisco
- 5/5
Top notch in every aspect of hospitality

Parking 80.00 plus per night

Wonderful hotel and great staff. Food at the bar area was not good, that was the only disappointing part. We had seared tuna and the Asian chicken appetizer’s and they were not good at all. The service though was excellent.

Great service! Clean and well appointed rooms. We will definitely be back!
- 5/5
Accommodations in the room and at the hotel were great for our family - including our 3-year-old. We were met at the door each time we left and came and were greeted with our last name. The restaurant was convenient and food was great. Pool was recently remodeled and clean. Would highly recommend
- 4/5
The staffs are amazing. The property is a little bit outdated and the SPA is under renovation and not available
- 5/5
This was the best hospitality I’ve ever received. They are top notch! Pricey but worth it.
- 1/5
The room was so hot we couldn’t sleep and they did nothing to fix it. The hot room made it impossible to enjoy the stay. The engineer was able to do nothing to improve the room. Stay elsewhere.
- 5/5
Such a beautiful hotel! We had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this hotel if you're visiting the San Francisco area.

Wonderful, thoughtful, attentive staff.
- 4/5
A word of caution about the rooms above Third Street. Nearby Mission Street and the neighborhood to the west has a lot of homeless people. Consequently, my Friday and Saturday night stays were frequently punctuated with police and other sirens.
- 4/5
I loved the pool area although water temp could have been warmer. I did eat at Astra in the afternoon and the food was delicious. Servoce was good. Valet was done qell and just wish staff would treat all guests fairly and greet with same excitement as some of the more affluent guests.I both loved and hated the bewildered look from staff and guests alike of like How did I get in the building.Other tuan that the bitler service is greatand in room dining doea a great job. Overall, I would returnand stay there again. P

Great service
- 4/5
food was very disappointing. Main restraurant closed during Covid and did not re-open. Bar/restaurant food was not up to expectations. Rooms are on the smaller side. Service was good, but I think Four Seasons on Market Street is better hotel.
- 5/5
Best hotel, you feel you are valued and it makes vacation so much more enjoyable. Excellent hospitality and rooms are clean and high end
- 5/5
The room is impeccable with amazing appointments in modern style and comfort!
- 5/5
St Regis properties don’t disappoint. My wife and I traveled to San Francisco to take in the city and its rich culture. Our stay at the St Regis contributed greatly to our joy and satisfaction. Staff was courteous and helpful. The hotel was immaculate and situated conveniently for a memorable downtown experience.
- 5/5
The St Regis is excellent--well appointed, tidy, top service, delicious breakfast, just altogether wonderful. Sadly the spa/pool is closed right now but they are hopeful it will reopen soon enough. This wasn't our first stay and certainly won't be our last.
- 5/5
Great hotel and great location
- 5/5
Overall, it was an enjoyable stay.
- 5/5
Superb. SF without the "sketchy feel" that has come to characterize SF these days. It's an efficient and elegant hotel - highly recommend it.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. San Francisco, however, is becoming sketchy and not safe.
- 5/5
Great last night on our California trip. St Regis is always exceptional. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Fantastic rooms with amazing views of the city. We booked a corner suite and was worth the price.

Staff! Great property
- 5/5
My favorite place to stay when in San Francisco.
- 5/5
There are lots of 5-star hotels to choose from in San Francisco and while in many ways they are comparable, each had distinguishing characteristics like the views, location, etc. For the St Regis, it's really the service that stands out. Here, the customer is always right and they make you feel like a VIP at every step in the process. Room service is exceptional and while you're clearly paying exorbitant 5 star prices (like $10 for a glass of apple juice, and that's before the tax and service charges); the details, presentation and follow through make it generally worthwhile. They have a ton of kids menu options, BTW. The lobby is stunning, opening up into the bar and lounge areas with warm light and modern finishes. The entrance while happily visible from 3rd St is still tucked away, so you're removed a bit from the less desirable elements of SOMA.
- 5/5
The Room was absolutely amazing with great views of the city. There is a $300 Deposit that I wasn't prepared for but was worth it when it came to the comfort and cleanliness of the room. The bed was great, the bathroom was well-equipped, and the bathtub was great for soaking. We did order a burger and pizza for dinner from Room Service and both ended up with food poisoning and didn't get to enjoy the night we had planned. The $100 cost for 2 food items was an outrageous price for food that didn't make us feel well. I want to give a shout-out to the manager, Angela, for the last upgrade and for help with the keys. You went out of your way for us and we deeply appreciate it!
- 5/5
Awesome place with great staffs!
- 5/5
A beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown. Staff was very professional and extremely welcoming. Our room was very clean and we enjoyed the soaking tub and luxurious bedding. Thank you for a lovely stay. We will be back someday again.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, great power, excellent staff, great fitness room

Gorgeous property with incredible customer service. Our only concern was we were not informed in advance that the spa and pool were closed due to renovation.

Lovely room, and so nice to acknowle our 30th anniversary!
- 5/5
Great stay! Excellent service.
- 5/5
Everything was excellent, except for the one time I had an omelette for breakfast. It was terrible. It was really a cold fried egg on top of some cold oily vegetables.
- 5/5
The mist friendly welcoming staff loved it
- 5/5
Very nice property. The bar has been recently remodeled and is very nice. The room was wonderful. We ordered room service for breakfast and they did a great job
- 5/5
Great location and very clean
- 3/5
I personally will never stay at this particular St Regis again, rooms are very small , bed is not as comfortable, view is not the best. No coffee machine in a room, a blow dryer old and will super dry ur hair with extreme heat. To order coffee only possible through room service and the wait is 40-50 min, no breakfast area or dinning are( I guess cause of Covid) ! Well you can get the same type of hotel for way cheaper rates. Not as St Regis should be.
- 5/5
Great place. Another wonderful stay.
- 5/5
Every single staff person was excellent - efficient, beyond helpful, genuine, welcoming (and shouldn’t very hotel want that quality). Everywhere we went was very clean and comfortable. Great lounge. Super convenient and walkable to everywhere we wanted to be.my favorite San Francisco hotel.
- 5/5
The remodel wasn't a total issue, but missed the opportunity to take advantage of the lobby bar and area to relax outside of the room.
- 3/5
Amenities were non existent, No place to eat properly in the hotel. Room missing some basic elements.
- 5/5
this property is in walking distance to alot of things, we stayed here to enjoy a giants game and had a great time.
- 2/5
Maid service was great and room was lovely. Happy to show my vaccine card to dine or drink but they really had horrible jury-rigged bar that was actually unpleasant and closed 2 of the 3 days we were there. Neighborhood had deteriorated around them due to closures related to Covid. I chose this over the 4 Seasons because it was loser to the SFMA. Wouldn’t make that mistake again.
- 3/5
Rooms as nice. Expensive for what you get. I’ve stayed at other hotels for less with more to offer.
- 5/5
Best stay we have had in SF! Excellent experience all the way around, room service food was amazing, room was beautiful and clean. Staff was super kind and helpful and quick bringing things to the door. Not much of a view from our room, and outside of the windows were really dirty maybe from a recent rain, but that didn't spoil our stay and can easily happen in any large building I'm sure they get cleaned at some point. Bummed the grille wasn't open, but that's covid policies and not the hotel's fault.
- 2/5
Clean room, comfy bed, friendly staff.
- 5/5
The customer service is amazing at this establishment. The staff goes well above & beyond to make sure you feel welcomed & are comfortable. I will definitely use this establishment again in the future.
- 5/5
St Regis is an awesome experience. The service is second to none. Definitely worth every penny. Great staff and location.
- 5/5
Clean and quiet.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and very helpful.

Incredible Hotel and staff. Right next to SFMOMA. The design in the room is top notch and the deep soaking tub was perfect.
- 4/5
The location was very convenient however the parking garage was closed when I got there so it was a bit troublesome looking for parking

We loved staying here and felt very safe with the measures they took for the pandemic. Great location, city views. In room dining was delicious. Highly recommend.
