Place was decent and clean. Have to pay $20 for parking if you want to park at the hotel parking lot that has homeless people hanging around and was told by business owners and people break-ins is a serious problem so be aware do not leave anything of value in your vehicles. Was caught off guard about having a Clean Safe "Crack" kit in the room as a added bonus if you need such a thing (WOW). I would not recommend for any single lady's or elderly.

I liked it because you got to watch YouTube and tbub but all in all it wasn't a very clean place and then I had to get up around 2:30 until the front desk that there's people sleeping in the hallway they were off the street homeless people that were making himself comfortable right in the hotel hallway so I was upset about that and the room was way overpriced wasn't worth the accommodations I probably would never stay there again I didn't like the fact that the heater did not work and they had no coffee maker and I didn't like people sleeping in front of the hallway when I opened my door the beds were nice but the walls were very thin you can hear everything even next door that's what I didn't like

Loved it all Hmm, that i chose to stay 1 night.
- 1/5
I am extremely disappointed with my recent two-night stay. Unfortunately, the experience fell far below basic hospitality standards. On the first night, the bathroom sink was filthy and completely clogged. I notified staff immediately, but nothing was done to fix the issue. Having an unusable sink is unacceptable in any hotel. On the second day, I was not moved to another room until 1:00 PM. When I finally entered the new room, there were no towels provided. To make matters worse, the running water was completely shut off for approximately two hours — no hot water, no cold water, no functioning water at all. This made it impossible to shower or use the facilities. These issues caused significant inconvenience and frustration. I expected a clean, functional room and basic accommodations, which were unfortunately not provided. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves their standards moving forward

- 2.5/5
It was too expensive for such a small room. The room looked like it needed to be repaired. It also didn't have any towels or toiletries.
- 4/5
Staff was super helpful and understanding.
- 2/5
The staff were incredibly considerate, especially given that there was a citywide power outage on the day I checked in. I was kindly escorted to my room and comprehensively debriefed about how they were dealing with the outage. They were clearly stressed, and did not at ALL make it my problem. However, the room wasn't clean (hair in the bedding and shower), the room lacked a trash can, and the toilet paper dispenser had been visibly ripped from the wall and not replaced. Loud confrontations by other clients occurred throughout the night. I have pretty low standards for cheap motels, because I understand that I get what I'm willing to pay for, but this one was beyond the pale.
- 0.5/5
The TV didn't work, the room smelt like old marijuana stench, they wouldnt give me another towel, and it's been over a week now and I'm STILL waiting to get my deposit back.
- 4/5
The overall stay was good.
- 3/5
Previous stays have always been great... Sometimes it is what it is. Though I got the room at a steap discount for Friday Night... $55.00 total cost and I can't blame them for putting me in a crap room. I was probably the lowest paying customer checking in Friday Evening. Usually customer service is always on point.

Felt very unsafe! The hotel was poorly kept and our room was filthy. The bed sheets looked okay, but we slept in our socks and street clothes just in case! We only had one wash rag with our two towels and no hand towels. There were gauze pads and an old dirty pink hair comb in the medicine cabinet. The fan in closet was so dirty, it looked like it had been blowing dust and dirt around for years! The blackout curtains didn’t fit the window and they were installed backward. My daughter and I felt so unsafe that I blocked the door with a chair they had by the desk (if you can call it that)! The door only had one simple lock and there was some sort of gum or wet paper stuffed in the peep hole of the door. There was dirt or some other type of “matter” on walls.. had we not arrived so late and were forced to stay there, I would cc have left in a heartbeat!! If I could rate this a negative number, I would!! I caution anyone who is looking at booking this hotel!!

Good value Walking distance to many venues Parking For San Francisco, if you chose value over anything this is it. It's clean and moderately priced. Limited on site parking Rooms are run down
- 1/5
The place was an absolute sh+t hole. We looked at the room took 15 pictures of all the things wrong and asked for our money back and drove away! I would not let me dog stay there. Also, there were feces in the parking lot which I accidentally stepped in! Told the manager and it was not cleaned up even by the time we left. Gross!!
- 4/5
Kinda run down Shower leaked but plenty of hot water
- 1/5
The service: horrible. The manager who checked me in collected an $80 cash deposit and denied me it at checkout stating it was towards the room charge when I made the reservation. The rooms: 307 had holes in the walls by the sink, behind the two power outlets, damaged curtains, a mattress with nails sticking out from it immediately outside the door to room 307. The room had blood stains throughout the floor, the shower leaked a significant amount of water out the bathroom, and mold was growing on the skylight. The smoke alarm was disabled and torn off the wall (the Fire Marshall needs to give this place a walk through). Employees are violently throwing, smashing and destroying debris in the parking lot at all hours of the night with no consideration for guest quite hours, and there is hardly any parking when being taken up by employees dumpster. Also they just began charging $20 for daily parking. The room is gross and it’s not up to code. Stay away. Not safe for kids. Great if you like bugs.

we ended up leaving after 5 minutes in our room. Terrible experience!
- 1/5
Bad from beginning to end. When I showed up, none of the parking was available due to contractors being present and taking up half the spaces with vehicles and materials. My room did not have towels when I arrived, and I was only given 1 bar of soap. The microwave did not have a glass plate, so things put in the microwave would not rotate and cook properly. The faucet was scalding hot, except for one spot where you barely got a trickle of room temperature water. Due to the contractors being present there were materials scattered around the place and in the parking lot. The work was also extremely noisy and made sleeping in or napping very difficult. The door to my room latched flimsily and felt insecure. The room did not have a deadbolt lock to use on the inside. The bedsheets are poor. The comforter has a sheet on top and bottom due to the fact that it's covered in little burn holes. The list goes on.
- 4/5
I find the in-room refrigerator and microwave to be very useful. At this time (mid-2025), rooms are being renovated and rooms are rented that are "in progress." They are suitable for use but unfinished. That said, the renovated sections are very attractive. While there's a very nice wall-mounted television, personally I don't fully understand how it works. It's not cable/satellite but (I think) Roku. Even so, I can always find something interesting to watch. Staff seems friendly and helpful. They even had the form you have to sign at check-in printed prior to my arrival. It might only save a minute or two but it's a nice touch.

Stayed here over the weekend for a family graduation. NEVER AGAIN. Bed bugs, sketchy area, bad parking, and so much more. The people next to us kept loud music going until 1am, and there's people waiting near the doors to follow you into the hotel since they don't have keys. On our last night, the manager was robbed at gunpoint for keys to the rooms. Don't stay here if you value your safety!
- 5/5
Rates are usually priced decently, I recommend this property.
- 5/5
My rooms blankets had a blanket that wasn't changed out. It had cigarette burns. Overall everything else was actually clean. Amenities were good
- 1/5
When I got there the staff was exceptionally rude to me whilst checking in as if I was unhoused (deserve the same respect I do )and a criminal .Also the hot water barely worked.
- 1/5
Booked a premium room with queen size bed but was told they only have double. Not sure what we paid the extra for. Front door is not seal hence we can smell weed periodically throughout the night. The room is very small, and not clean. The shower is super small. Hairdryer is broken. Parking is a joke, there are only about 6 parking spot and the rest they use as storage. Overall we will not be returning there.
- 1/5
Everything was dirty. Didnt want to take a shower because bath towels were dirty . Hair on floor and bed . Used our t-shirts to cover pillow cases to sleep . Only positive was they had free parking in san Francisco. 30 minute walk to Chase Center .
- 5/5
Front desk was friendly, informative and helpful throughout my stay. Getting ahold of front desk from room or by cell phone did prove to be difficult.
- 5/5
Excellent service, great price and an exciting nightlife.
- 1/5
There's people selling and doing drugs in the open prostitution was rampant. The skylight was leaking during a rain storm. The floors are sticky. There's blood stains on the fabric in the bed and the entrance is supposed to be secure, but everybody props it open. It felt very unsafe I couldn't sleep.
- 5/5
Third time staying here and will come back. Convenient location and free parking.
- 3/5
All staff members were nice. It is a very old inn and in desperate need of upgrades. Location is good for where I needed to go on foot. The free parking was a plus. It did come with a TV, Microwave, fridge and coffee maker. All functioning. The furniture is very old but they were in the middle of getting a large delivery and what could be upgrades for the furniture in the rooms. Overall not a bad stay but it not luxurious what so ever.
- 3/5
I’ve stayed here many times over the years and it seems to have really gone downhill this time. There were holes in the walls and missing paint on most walls. There was no toilet paper holder, just holes where one used to be. The floors didn’t seem clean and there was something smeared on the wall in the bathroom.
- 3/5
old but receptioner is really nice.
- 5/5
Very good new bed
- 3/5
This is a motel. Nothing more. Broken ice machine; room walls dirty; towels dingy. But there was a working microwave and fridge in the room so that was nice. A bleak place but neighborhood has some interesting places. Parking on site is a plus. And contrary to the website, they obviously offer no breakfast and the parking fee may or may not be included.
- 3/5
Property was decent. Very nice furnished rooms. Seems like they were remodeled recently. The staff and service were friendly and accommodating. Found some ants in the bathroom during one of my days which was unpleasant and there was water leaking from around the sink. The internet service was also quite bad and could not watch tv without it buffering.

- 2/5
The floor and walls were dirty. The curtains had holes in them and were sagging/falling off the rod. Sheets were stained.
- 3/5
Very old and damage furniture bed too uncomfortable super noisy
- 2/5
The closet door was jammed shut with the handle broken off and a sharp screw sticking out where the handle should have been making it unusable. The entry door was out of adjustment and needed to be forced open and closed. None of this was the fault of the staff who were very professional and helpful.

I booked this room a week later that this trip. They canceled my reservation without notice and sold my room to someone else. When I tried to check in the hotel was sold out despite me reserving a room. I’ll make sure to cancel all my future trips to this hotel and never book it again. If you want to avoid surprise cancelation of your trip without any resolution, I’d suggest to look for one of the many other hotels in SoMa that value their long-term customers and don’t use unprofessional business policies

I stayed here for a night and nice part is there is free parking right there but it’s limited. Think there is maybe 12 spots. I was able to walk to Oracle park from there. Took about 30 minutes and I felt safe doing so as a solo female. Next block is a Trader Joe’s and there are some bars around to grab a drink. The room itself was meh. The bathroom was super nice but I didn’t feel comfortable sleeping in the bed sheets so I slept on top. The microwave didn’t work so that was a bummer. There was something leaking so the floor kept getting wet near the front door. Overall I’d tell others to stay here but surely know it’s cheap yet you get what you pay for.
- 2/5
Suited guy at front desk lack customer service skills and personality. Found a live cockroach on the wall of our room. The bed was decent however the furniture and A/C unit was disgusting to say the least. I would say the walk-in shower was probably the better feature of the room. My first stay at the property and probably my last.

My toilet seat was cracked so I had to put paper towels to cover it or pinch my legs. The floor wasn’t very clean when I go there (I give some allowance but still), surfaces were cleaned ok tho. Shower was clean. Bed was very comfortable and pillows. AC and heater worked well. It’s a cheap motel, which I recognize but you have to repair your toilets and actually do a more thorough clean before a new occupant shows up. Also there are no front desk people half the day, seems like just during check in.
- 1/5
Unsafe
- 3/5
Well the staff was very helpful and friendly. But the rooms was very run down and some of the occupants were shady. The bathrooms were remodeled I guess for just sleeping it was ok.
- 2/5
I have stayed at this property lots of times and seemed like it really went downhill. I was awaked by this duo of methed out girls who were talking loud all night and their dog was barking the whole night. I finally had to tell them to shut the **** up and keep it down. They were still talking loud outside my window at 7am. The room smelled like smoke and musty. It was a dirty room. Probably wont stay at this property again. Oh yea and the front desk was kinda rude.
- 2/5
If you just need a place to sleep and pack a sleeping bag it’s fine. If you plan on being in the room a lot definetly look elsewhere. Very limited parking but hey it was free. Guy at the desk seemed very friendly.
- 5/5
In town for a concert at DNA lounge. I arrived early, parked my car for free, and walked around the city until the show started. There is food, nightlife, and a grocery store within a couple blocks. After the show I walked back to the room. Had another show the next night, walked to the BART station and did the same thing. Check in was easy. Service was great. Convenience was stellar. I probably saved more on parking than I spent for two nights.
- 3/5
Stayed here a second time because it was convenient with free underground parking. The beds were horribly uncomfortable and the room had no closet or anywhere to hang anything. A couple of hooks would have gone a long way. Ice machine did not work and the stairs were a lot after a whole day of walking in the city. Stayed for 4 days and had to have my key card rekeyed each day.
- 2/5
If you want comfort, pay for it, otherwise bring another blanket. The chairs are stained—don’t sit on them unless you have plastic under you. The manager also doesn’t make you feel very welcomed.
- 3/5
We were happy to have somewhere to stay that fit in our budge and that included parking. However, there were a few things things that could use some work like the disconnected sink and loose door knob for the bathroom. I didn't feel comfortable with the window in the ceiling as there was graffiti.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly checking in, was pretty quiet and lots of cool places to shop around and try new foods
- 4/5
Good location, rooms outdated for the price but still worked well.
- 1/5
I walked in and showed my reservation. I took the card and went to the room. Someone else was sleeping in the room. I asked for ice but there is no ice. There is no drinking water in the room.

1 Breakfast included- only coffee and a packed pastry. 2. Requested for non- smoking room, but given to me really smoking embedded room 3 the carpet was really unclean 4. Very noisy even during the mid night 5. The entrance was so small door and the front desk was isolated with metal fence for their protection 6. So many flies in the room and public area I got the respiratory infection during 3 nights stay
- 5/5
This hotel is in the most convenient location, and it even has protected, and covered, parking free with the reservation!! Just a free parking alone is worth the stay !! But honestly I got to tell you about the rooms, because that's what we're here for right? Before they started renovating the rooms were okay, but now that they have renovated most of the rooms, this place is top notch! The rooms are very clean, for the first time ever. I did feel like I needed to bring my own bedding, especially because they notably wash everything, but they also clean the pillows! Pillows! Imagine That! It's such a wonderful feeling checking into a hotel that keeps my car safe and protected with cameras and also from the rain, but also having a wonderful feeling of safety when I just simply lay my head down on a freaking pillow that's not mine! You guys/gals/other... I'm telling you... This is the place! If you want to make sure that you, your family, and even your CAR, is feeling safe? Come to San Francisco Inn. If you worry about seeing it all, this hotels convenient location will help with this. If you want you're clothes and business suit to be hung or folded and put into nice drawers? Gotta stay here. Need coffee? This hotel provides that in your room with a fridge AND microwave! Ever since COVID, not a single hotel provides breakfast... Except for San Francisco Inn! They still have that for sure! And seriously.... WALK IN SHOWERS! NOT that disgusting bathtub BS!!
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my stay at San Francisco inn the room had nice cozy queen size beds modern decor spacious bathrooms with sky lights, very clean, free parking, great location and the staff went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay I give this hotel five stars
- 4/5
They took care of us. Gave us a new room
- 1/5
Not their fault but... It' ain't quiet ever. Police, loud cars, helicopters, screaming people. But look, it's cheap and in the location I wanted to be in to see a show. That's what you get. If you can deal with all the above, great place to crash. The guys doing the hotel service were good, not their fault for all the stuff.
- 3/5
Rooms smell like cigarette smoke, if you ask them for another room they are “full booked” yet there were many rooms available.
- 5/5
I cannot praise this place enough. I happened upon it while frantically scouring Hotels.com after my previous reservation had fallen through during the APEC conference weekend and I’m so glad I did. My stress was immediately relieved when they were able to accommodate an early check-in. It’s an unassuming hotel in the Soma District of San Francisco, so you really couldn’t ask for a better central location. The hotel consist of two neighboring buildings. Once I got into the room I fell in love. I really liked the layout as well as the furniture. There are several dressers and drawers for organization along with plenty of counter-space, which is rare feature in most hotels that I particularly appreciate. Some of the rooms even have jetted bathtubs that are nice and deep like a hot tub. It’s not just the rooms that makes this place so great however, but the staff. Mohammed , Safa and Faifal are not only consistently accommodating, but kind, exceptionally professional and all around Good guys. Whether it be a day or graveyard shift, they are always there to fulfill any request and go above and beyond their job expectation to meet the needs of their guests. Again I cannot overstate How much I appreciate these guys and the positive impact they’ve had on every one of my stays. The housekeeping is also genuinely very sweet, patient and attentive. This has become my go to place for extended stays. They beat every other hotel in the city, by their dedicated attention to detail.
- 4/5
There was a lot of noise as the place is close to the road. All the amenities were present
- 5/5
Very reasonable in cost Great location for downtown exploring Always there to help with ur needs
- 2/5
They were kind I did get a room. But they have rats running around this place and it's under construction damn that was a big rat I know how to do computers I'd take log at a picture of them I just don't know how to send it to you
- 2/5
I understand that they are remodeling and somethings are not finished. But the sink was lose, the shower door handle was lose, there was a screw poking out of the floor, the phone didn't work and there is so many small things to bring up I don't have the effort to express. Cheap not convenient unless you are going to anything leather and lgbtq
- 3/5
Hotel is situated in a great location. Parking is very limited. And parking spots are very small, good luck not hitting another car or wall ride if you have an SUV. Compact cars will be ok. The room i was in is very outdated. It had like a 70s vibe that hasn't been kept up. It also smelled like cigarettes. Wonder if they vacuum the floors? Bed was comfortable.
- 4/5
The #1 consideration for me was free parking. This was one of only three hotels in the whole SoMa area that offered free parking. The number of spaces was very limited, but there was one available for me, so I was satisfied. Unfortunately, some trash materialized behind my car overnight) but I don't think that was the hotel's fault. That's the reason for my "poor" rating for the surrounding area.
- 2/5
Not sure why this place is even listed on Hotels.com
- 5/5
Hopefully renovations are completed
- 3/5
The property is not in the best of shape. For the price is good for a night or two but wouldn’t recommend more than 3 nights.
- 2/5
Room wasn’t nice. Shady area. Bedding was old and seemed dirty. Old furniture. You get what you pay for but walking distance to good food. Loud area but I like that. Also requires a $100 deposit even when prepaid, but the nice front desk dude waved it.
- 1/5
We were put at a room near that back where there was open construction of a room. I understand that comes with some noise, however, what shouldn't be happening when someone is doing construction on the room next to you is the power to several outlets going in and out in your own room.
- 4/5
The room was clean and basic. It was fine for sleeping and had all necessities. The neighbourhood was a bit sketchy but not too far from public transportation and close enough to walk to some attractions.
- 2/5
