The staff, as usual, were cheerful, friendly, helpful and available. In-room dining was outstanding. The front desk staff were always helpful. The valet service was excellent. And the maids were invisible and always on top of my needs. How do they do that? I love staying at the Omni in San Francisco.

Very good location. One staff at the reception desk isn't very polite (she just asked rude questions when my aunt complained about the incessant noise in the room, her manager later helped us change the room and gave us some credit for this). But most staffs are excellent and helpful.

Beautiful place! From the moment we arrived we were treated with kindness. The hotel itself is beautifully elegant and wonderfully maintained. Our room was comfortable with a kind size bed and a hot shower with great water pressure! Everything was walking distance, from close cafes to Trader Joe’s to Fisherman’s Wharf.

The staff went above and beyond for us, even letting us check in way earlier after a long red eye flight. The valet was amazing as people with a car that were dreading having to pay for parking or find a lot close by. The hotel itself was beautiful and we liked our room and view. It was just a really enjoyable experience and we like the area as well! Felt safe

Excellent place to stay while in San Fransisco! Highly recommend. All the staff at the hotel are very kind and easy to work with. They were also very helpful with recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Hotel was clean, quiet, and in a perfect area that is close to all the tourist hot spots. With access to the California cable car on the corner. I would give this hotel and it's staff a higher score of 5 if I would.

Guest rooms are clean and well managed with housekeeping. A negative star for me was the lack of a refrigerator, water, and basic necessities in the room without having to call the lobby and await. We couldn’t get a fridge which was pretty crummy as my spouse is type 1 diabetic and it causes highs and lows of which we needed food. With that being said there also isn’t a vending machine in the ice rooms or on any floor for that matter. The fitness center was nice, basic no frills or thrills but did have everything needed… except there wasn’t any sanitation wipes or sprays which I found very gross. Pool is not on site. You can get a voucher for YMCA 5-6 blocks away. - which let’s be real a pool just isn’t a necessity for the financial district of SF. So it’s fair. They offer a small discount for two restaurants across the street called the Vault. One is a steakhouse and one is a garden style cafe. Overall I would most likely return. It was a pricier option considering the competition of hotels in the area but it was nice. But the fridge, snacks/vending machine/waters in room, need to definitely be corrected

Location - just a few blocks of walking to Ferry terminal or China town and if you like to walk - walk up California st to Nob Hill and down to Powell st/ Union square. Not for the faint!! Hotel close to many chic streets with restaurants as well as North Beach - where it’s the hub of restaurants.

It was such a pleasant experience staying at the Omni. From Daryl the door man, to Eddie who checked us in, to Riko who helped us find a restaurant…all were so helpful and courteous. Our room was beautiful and very clean decorated with high-end furniture. My only concern is that there is no storage drawer or shelf in the bathroom. Other than that, everything was perfect!! We will definitely be back!!

It was clean, the staff was very kind and seemed genuinely helpful, and we got a lot of free water bottles! There were a lot of amenities upon request I wish I’d bothered to ask for more of them.

We stayed at the Omni for 20th anniversary. The hotel is really nice and the staff was super friendly. The area is safe and walkable to Chinatown. The California cable line is right out the main entrance we mostly Uber around to the various places we wanted to see. Everything’s within a couple of miles and either direction so that’s why the Omni became our logical choice. We were really happy with our choice. Can’t say enough good things about this hotel.

A clean and somewhat utilitarian hotel. It won't change your life, but it's a reasonably priced option that is conveniently located downtown. Check-in was a bit of a headache because the hotel's rez system and Expedia's were clearly not synced well. If you are booking this property through Expedia, be sure to have your confirmation number on hand.

The staff is just the best. Everyone recognizes me from earlier trips (which is great) and they make a special effort to ensure my stay is totally wonderful. It was a shock to see how many add-ons there were on our bill. The city taxes are daunting. We were sorry to see so few mom and pop businesses downtown and so few department stores left around Union Square. We came to do some Christmas shopping and bought only three back scratchers in ChinaTown. The shopping was dismal.

Hotel seemed to lack some of the personalization that higher end hotels offer...no valet on duty when we arrived, no doormen, no bellmen...room was clean and fine, but nothing extra...door to bathroom was difficult to close and no fan in bath. Mattress felt worn, old, and need of replacement.

We have stayed multiple times at the Omni, and twice during the holidays. The staff are kind and attentive, loving toward our two young kids, the beds and rooms are comfortable, and we enjoy the free drink with our room. I wish parking was more reasonably priced, but in downtown SF it comes with the territory. The Omni is our favorite hotel in the city!

All the things you want from a hotel; very clean, classy, good location, great fitness center, excellent morning coffee, but the staff, especially Ricco and his manager went above and beyond for our family that was experiencing hard times with medical issues. We can't thank them enough for going above and beyond. Thank you Omni SF!

The hotel location is a huge plus as it is within walking distance of many interesting places to visit and eat at. The members of the hotel staff we interacted with were efficient and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. Water and coffee were readily available. The gym was well equipped and clean. The bar was nicely decorated and very inviting, and the dinner we had there was surprisingly good. It has become our favorite place to stay when we visit San Francisco.

Beautiful hotel. The lobby looks very elegant and the rooms were beautifully furnished as well. We found the room spacious and clean. All amenities were provided and we appreciated the complimentary services such as free water and free coffee in the morning. We were also fortunate to be there when they gave out free ice cream (which is only provided on certain days in the afternoon). We highly recommend this location for the comfort and the convenient location, as well as the exceptional service.

In my view SF is back. This hotel keeps visitors in an area that is similar to the SF I love. SF still has some rough areas but we easily avoided them.

Stopped in here for a few nights recently and the staff was amazing. Very sociable and respectable. As for the hotel itself, it’s in a great spot in the financial district and very walkable to local spots. If not the trolleys are a block or two over. The hotel is beautiful and tastefully designed as well. Found this to be a great spot and glad I stumbled upon it.

Elegant, great views, comfortable beds, super clean. But the best part are the gracious, professional people who staff this hotel. They love their hotel and their city and that makes staying here a special experience. All of the services that were provided by higher end hotels that went missing during covid, can be found here. Doorman, valet, bellman, well staffed front desk, complimentary morning coffee. I don't remember the last time we stayed somewhere where we felt 'taken care of', to this level. There is a proper bar that seems to be popular with locals in addition to a hotel bar. A great restaurant with room service, the list goes on. The location is the best ever and you can hear the California cable car tracks buzz and the bell ringing.

What was once one of the best service brands, family owned Omni has outsourced its lost and found-- maybe the most important function for a customer that has lost a valuable item. Now when you call, you are texted an email link to a third party service committed to responding in two weeks! Your once extraordinary loyalty to customer has also been outsourced-- won't be staying with you again after 20 years of top membership in your Black Card club.

Older classic hotel that always does things right. Clean, friendly staff.

We booked a room and requested prior to arrival a higher level floor due to the previous reviews we read about the traffic noise. Since it was busy weekend with a music festival they said they could only book us a room on the 6th floor out of 17. We obliged and instantly upon entering the room smelled musty like an old dusty grandma's house. It was late around midnight and so we figured we would open the windows and run the AC. Neither window could be opened, not even by my very strong husband. Then tried the AC and that did't seem to be working either. After 2 hot showers, the smaller sized room seemed to feel even more stuffy (there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom), and the AC was still not working. Called the front desk and asked to be changed to another room. They could not accommodate. Maintenance guy brought us a small desk fan and pried the windows barely cracking. It became so overbearingly noisy that we didn't sleep at all the entire night with blaring sirens all night and missed our first 2 items on our next day itinerary. Next morning had amazing service by the front desk who got us a top floor upgraded room, but when asked if they could credit us the first night, the hotel manager stated he could not at all since we booked through hotels.com and not through the actual hotel. Could've been cleaner and beds were slightly larger than a twin.. very small double.

Genuinely friendly and professional staff, from the Front Desk to the Porters to Housekeeping... The Omni has always provided a welcome respite from the hurly-burly of the City.

Absolutely loved the customer service from the moment you walk in. The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, quiet and equipped with everything you need. The toilettes they provide is better than any other hotel i’ve stayed at, and my partner and I will continue to stay at Omni hotels in the future!

Experience was top notch from beginning to the end, came into the city for the SF marathon and traveled by train, ran into some hiccups and they were more than accommodating. Highly recommend Omni if you’re staying in San Francisco, the bar was incredible, loved the atmosphere and the bartender there was very nice and friendly, had a great conversation with him. Will definitely come back when I’m in SF.

Arrived early and our room was ready ahead of time. Very welcoming staff. Slept like a baby in the perfectly comfortable firm but not too firm king bed.

This is a beautiful hotel. Felt very “fancy” for us. Valet parking, 17 stories, chandeliers, nice bar/restaurant in the lobby, etc. Staff were so nice and helpful here. The rooms are clean and QUIET. The trolley car goes on the street in front of the hotel. I really loved staying here.

Perfect for us

Walking distance to Pier 1, less than a mile. We traveled with family. Very courteous staff. Our room was very spacious and clean, specially bathroom. Originally I booked 2 Dbl Bed but we arrived early and the room wasn't ready so I requested if King bed with sofa bed is ready and available we would loved to have it. Our request was honor and without any xtra charge. All the staff from doorman to front desk to housekeeping, they all were very friendly and courteous. We would definitely stay there again and again.
