This place was nice for an older hotel. Basic but nice and clean. Parking is tight but it's SF so... I came back late and there were no spaces left. The night staff guy created one for me so I could park. That was a 5 star gesture. But why 4 stars you ask; well, I could hear everything going on outside the door until things quieted down after midnight. The room had basic stuff you find in a budget motel; paper thin toilet paper, see through towels etc. it was clean and folks were nice. Good enough for me but not for anyone I want to impress

The hotel was very convenient to all transportation options, allowing us access to the attractions we were interested in. There was free transportation to the Presidio, which was convenient. We ended up Ubering to many places to save time.

As others have stated the parking is very tight but it handled it large vehicle with patience. In all of our interactions, checkin, ask to extend stay and check out, with the staff it felt like we were bothering them. Knowing what we know now, we would stay here again only if there are no other options with parking.

Location was fine. No breakfast provided which was disappointing. The room was clean. More counter space in the bathroom and a nicer closet. I was scared to hang clothes in the closet, it was nasty.

Check in staff member was helpful in getting us into a room early, day of check in. Appreciated the location refurbished room and parking. Plenty of road noise, not disturbed by it but it was noticeable. Maybe needs additional sound proofing in rm 107.

The rooms are spacious! We stayed in the room with 2 king beds and had more than enough room for 3 adults. The hotel is in a good location within a mile or two from most things we wanted to see. No complaints.

A bag has disappeared from the room. 1 Louis Vitton sunglasses 2 morellato necklace and other personal belongings. All reporters to SF Police Department. BE CAREFUL

The rooms were big and they went in for a daily clean. Coming from the UK I was not used to the door being outside, so it felt a bit unsafe at first but never encountered anything. Also the carpark had this sign up and when we asked about it we were told to ignore it and they didn't know about it. Also the lift is pretty outdated with carpet doors.

I wanted to comment on the fact that during the last day, after we checked out, our flight was cancelled and the inn let us stay in the lobby and figure out next steps, they even offered us their phone, so we can call the airline, that was extremely helpful and kind!

Location was nice for uber the included parking was a bonus. Sink water pressure was awful the shower was very strange the room was oddly small the bathroom was oddly big. The vending machine didn’t work the elevator is something to avoid. The parking spaces were so compact.

Clean rooms, safe parking

This Inn is not anything like the pictures on hotels.com. It looks like a Motel 6 and I did not feel safe to stay there so I checked out within 10 minutes after being notified by hotels.com that there’s nothing they can do about it! I thought this was a verified trusted site but I guess I was wrong. No wonder all the ratings and comments are similar because they remove all the negative ones.

The location is magnificent, there is a large parking lot down below, and parking is available up top as well; there is an elevator. The cleaning staff enter without knocking or asking permission, even though they should know that people are still staying there. They entered last time as well, but I assumed it was by mistake. This time, she walked in again. She startled my son. The shower is inconvenient; it provides very little water flow.

Location was excellent. It is close enough to everything we came to SF for (Fisherman’s warf, China town, cable cars, Alcatraz etc), that you could either walk, take the cable car around town. Which is especially helpful when the hotel have free parking. Cleaning left a lot to be desired. Despite what was advertised, there is no daily cleaning. First two days we were there, the only “cleaning” we had, was they emptied our trash once, and too our used towels. We didn’t even get fresh towels, we didn’t have our beds made, we didn’t get any shampoo, or refilled toilet paper. The only reason we had any towels on day two, was because I caught the cleaner, and got some straight from the cart. Also be advised, if your car is low or long, it is likely to scape on the bottom when entering the underground parking. We drive a minivan, so nothing exotic or sporty, but still fit a hell of a scare.

If you have a low car, it will drag on the way into the parking garage, but the location feels safe. My car was not broken into while I was there.

The size of the room was good and the bed comfortable, location was fine and accessible we had what sounded like children running around at night and early morning, but after a word with the hotelier they seemed to stop

The cleanliness of the place was great! Had ample space for the three of us and enjoyed the fridge and microwave in there. Used it once or twice and the location was not far at all from some great bars, restaurants, City Lights bookstore, etc.

We had a room with 2 king beds... very spacious and really liked our room. However, there were no hooks or towel bars anywhere to hang up our towels! When asked for extra coffee, the front office associate didn't seem happy about it and didn't give me the number that I requested. Also, they didn't have decaffeinated coffee. We enjoyed our room and liked the location.

Location Room had no closet and no place to hang clothes or store your luggage, except placing your luggage on the floor. Bathroom had absolutely no room for toiletries or storing your toiletrie bag.

We got placed in a room that was near the staff room and we heard everything. We heard the rattling of the carts and them talking loud in the morning. We also heard all the movement from above us also. Every foot step and conversation was loud so we had a tough time going to bed and trying to sleep in the morning.

Free parking was the only reason we selected this hotel, which was secure/convenient. Linens and cleanliness were sub-par, at best. Black mold was spotted in a very stained bathroom.

At 3:35 AM he started a tirade, throwing furniture around and screaming.

Room smelt like bleach making myself and kids have a headache. The pillows are soo small and only comes with 3 a bed. Refrigerator isnt cold enough so drinks needed ice. Parking was good.

The parking was terrible and the beds kept making noises every time i move also when i was trying to park i almost crashed multiple time cause of how bad the parking was and how tight it was.

Great location, just a block from Polk Street! The room had just enough seating to spread out our wet rain gear. The shower had nice pressure and stayed hot. I did wish there had been a hook or two in the bathroom to hang towels, but we were supplied more. Often televisions are sparse on channels at some hotels, but we were able to watch everything from the Olympics to Cartoon Network (after the receptionist helped us!) The fridge was large enough to hold several cans of seltzers, water bottles and yogurts for our breakfast.

Very clean room, fast check in/out, great view on the third floor, chill staff, fantastic safe location (near everything you’d want in SF), cool underground parking, daily cleaning, generous with amenities and we got it for a lower price than the areas around. 100% would stay again.

For the price this place was really good. Cheap place to crash for the night. Updated painted and looks really nice. The beds were nice and comfortable at this price point you get a nice safe place to stay in a good neighborhood that’s very clean. Highly recommend.

When we first checked into the hotel, there was a very strong chemical smell. It was a bit difficult the first day, but thankfully, it eventually aired out and the situation improved.

Everything is great aside from the checkout. We planned to check out at 7am because we need to travel to Modesto for an appointment but the office is still closed.

A lot of the amenities were weak i.e., the hair dryer was not efficient to dry hair & fridge wasn’t very cold. Walls were thin as we constantly heard noises upstairs and had a hard time sleeping. However, pricing was fair and area was convenient for visiting places. Inn also allowed us to keep our luggage prior and after checking in/out, which was very nice!

I chose the "Family sized" suite and that is not what we got when we arrived. We almost had to leave but the clerk offered to bring us a roll away bed for our 5th person. That worked well. In the future, I'd caution anyone to call the desk ahead to make sure your size party can be accommodated.

The only thing I found that was a problem is the fact that the hotel doesn’t have carpeted floors. We were on the second floor and could hear every single movement the room above us made.

This is an excellent choice that provides nice clean room in Pacific Heights. The only quibble - a quibble, not a complaint - was about patchy wifi. They have two different routers and we kept getting cutoff from time to time and we had to switch the router. I spoke with the manager about the problem and he said they are aware of it and would be upgrading. He said they made numerous upgrades in the last two years since buying the Inn and it showed.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. They let us leave our car in the parking lot and held our luggage before and after our room reservation. The location is pretty convenient since you about a 10-20 minute walk from the Marina or North Beach. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in this area.

Stayed two nights and wanted something close to Fisherman’s Wharf. This was the perfect location. Easy walk to restaurants, easy to get in and out of. Parking was tight even with a car but happy to have parking and a great place to stay! Would definitely recommend and stay again!

The parking lot was small and it was very difficult to park in the underground parking lot.

The hotel is in a great location with many nearby restaurants and coffee shops. Parking is included in the room price which is a great deal because so many hotels charge for parking. It's an older building, but the rooms have been recently remodeled and are very nice. The rooms are very clean and even have a microwave and mini fridge.

Very clean room, nicely updated, mattresses were in an encasement, reasonably quiet for such a busy location. Free parking was great but parking spots are narrow and getting in and out of the garage is challenging. I was happy with our stay here and the location worked out well. Front desk staff was pleasant and friendly. It’s an older building but what really stood out is how well it’s being maintained and the rooms feel modern. Tons of power outlets and USB-A ports throughout our room. I would stay here again!

The outside of the hotel is not very reassuring, the elevator is scary, but the rooms are large, newly remodeled, and clean. I would stay there again. If you are looking for an amazing bakery you gotta go to Jupiter not too far from the property.

Everyone was super friendly and quick to help me out. They went out of their way to go above and beyond treating me like I’m the only person in the building. With detailed staff like that im sure they treat everyone with respect. Very great stay for me and my partner.

This is an extremely old motel - room was clean but something you would see in a 1950s movie. Limited dining options within walking distance. Parking is a plus but spots are super tiny.

The ONLY thing I disliked very much was that there is NO SHOWER TRAY; so by the time you get out of the shower there is a big puddle all over the restroom floor. We ended up mopping with the hotel’s towels. Other than this, I would definitely recommend this place!

Greta place for the price bed was not the best but not the worst I would stay here again!

Ridiculously noisy both from the street and can also hear the neighbour’s shower and toilet flush like s/he is sitting next to me in my own room. Terrible noise isolation.

Okay place to stay. Zero Amenities and parking is horrible!!! Very limited and they have employees taking up several spots and trailer stored in way of some parking.

This is a bare bones hotel. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. We stayed Saturday, Sunday, Monday and on Saturday night it sounded like there were drag races on the street. It’s conveniently located with lots of places to eat nearby. It has an ancient quirky elevator, but it works! The staff were very nice and helpful.

This place was better than expected. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean, and the fact that parking is free and it is within walking distance to many of the places we wanted to go was a great value. The only things that weren't great were the bed frames, the heating/cooling unit, and the TV. Luckily we were on the top floor, but the bed frames are made of a thin metal sheeting that when lightly kicked (which is often) or when sitting on the bed it made a loud clanging noise. The TV was way too small for the size of the room and only viewable by one of the beds, and wasn't a smart TV, so only a few local channels were available. The heating/cooling units controls were damaged which made it impossible to control. Overall, it was a great value and would stay there again for a short stay.

It was a comfortable stay in SF. Included parking is such a great benefit for those that have a car. Also located in a clean, safe neighborhood. Close to public transit as well.

My sheets were dirty, staying with yellow stains. I didn’t realize that until I got into the room late in the evening I had checked in when about my day just shower because I was extremely tired. Got some dinner and when I got back, it was like around 10 ish this was not acceptable

The location is great. However, we were in room 102 and my 11 year old daughter woke up the next morning with bed bug bites on her torso. We requested a room change and were told that we had to come back at noon. We were out on a bay cruise and couldn’t come back at noon so we were told that they couldn’t give us new room, but would change all bedding and linens. The next day my second daughter woke up with bed bugs! Staff was NOT helpful and very dismissive. Would not recommend this place.

Unfortunately, I was given room key for one king bedroom which was just painted and cleaned (it smelled) for two female friends … reservation was for 2 queens. I went back to office and was told that’s what you reserved … I then showed my confirmation for 2 queens. The clerk advised they were overbooked and nothing else available. Being persistent, I stated I wanted what I reserved. After several minutes of phone conversation with ??, I was finally given a key for a room with 2 queen beds! It seems the hotel is in a state of complete renovation.

We were put in a room on the third floor, and had heavy banging, footsteps, things being dropped on floor ALL HOURS OF DAY AND NIGHT. It was EXTREMELY loud. I got less than 2 hours sleep for the two days we stayed there. I attempted to call staff when it was happening and they didn't answer. I tried to go to the office but it was locked after hours and I had to be in the hospital during the daytime hours. This happened both nights. Per the housekeeper, this is not a room they rent out, it is staff quarters. So the staff kept me and my ill child up all night,both nights.

Overall stay was ok, when asked for more towels they wanted us to come to the front desk to get them…unheard of at any hotel. Phone that was in room the direct line wire was cut. Mold and dust in a/c unit, visible repairs all over,landlord paint job on switches and doors. Water damage under sink behind cabinet. Best to stay for a day or two.

Outdated hotel, recommend to use the stairs and not the elevator, the beds and pillows very worn and not comfortable, room has musty old smell, free parking but limited and tight spots.

Staff or Owner, was extremely friendly and helpful. Very thoughtful of his guest and tries to make their experience the best. Interior is fresh and remodeled. The noise level is a bit loud just because you’re right next to and facing a Main Street.

We valued the convenience of parking getting to the room and start enjoying our stay. The room looked just renewed, bathroom bathroom and all. The staff super cordial and warm. Near it all. The fact that it has a place to park, amazing!

I'd probably have given this Inn a good review if it had not been for the rude manager & for the incident that happened during our stay. Room was spacious, beds were big enough for a family of 5. No complaints on our first night. We unpacked our bags & slept right away. We were not bothered by street noises as other guests complained about, maybe coz the room was on the top floor. On our 2nd day, we went out to explore the city early morning & returned at night. While re-organizing our things, my daughter realized she was missing her favorite jacket that she placed on one of the chairs. She went to the parking garage to check if she left it in our car & came back up without it. She went to the front desk & requested to check if she was wearing it when we checked in and found in the camera that she was! A lady suddenly came to the reception and told them that somebody had found it and gave it to the housekeeper. That's when we became suspicious. I had put the DO NOT DISTURB sign on our door before we left & that only meant that someone went in our room and took it. Next day I went to speak to the manager and his version of the story changed. He told me that I called them to have the jacket removed from our room & put for safekeeping. When I asked to show proof I called them he just yelled at me & was asking us to leave. For our safety we just checked out quietly. 2 days later I saw the Inn's # on my missed call list the day the jacket disappeared. So..they called me. But why?

Nice hotel, comfy bed, clean. The room had a coffee maker, microwave and fridge. It even had a mini closet with iron and board! I felt safe and comfortable.

A clean and comfortable place to operate out of or catch up on rest. Nothing glamorous, very basic but clean and comfortable which matters! Office staff was very cool!

For the most part my stay was good, the only issue I had was there too much noise above me and parking was limited. The room was clean and cozy. The television only had a few channels available but that was ok as I really needed to sleep when I got off work. Everything else including the maid service was very good.

Photos make the place look nicer than it was. You get what you pay for. It’s reasonably priced and not wildly nice. I just thought the photos looked better than it was in person. It was very clean though. Service was OK.
