We’ll be back. Really nice, small, European style. Rooms fully updated, clean modern feel. Staff were consistently friendly and attentive. Area is highly walkable and, like any big city, must see areas and also areas to avoid. Only negatives are small, very slow, single elevator and shower faucets which were over-engineered.

Clean rooms, missing some basic amenities which we had to pick up from the lobby. Overall ok.

Great hotel in the heart of Union Square and at a reasonable price. Next door is a bar that had music and karaoke. The hotel gave us x2 vouchers to use for a free drink to use there. Amazing bagel shop for breakfast and a Gelato shop across the street for a late-night treat. Everything in walking distance. China town was less than a block away. There is no parking however there is The White House Garage that is a block away and conveniently located for less than $50 a day.

Location wise the hotel is a little out of the way if you want to be closer to the "in" scene down at Pier 39 but we walked thru Chinatown down to the Pier a few times and it took us around 40 mins. Coming back is mainly uphill so we worked it out that if you walk along the waterfront to the Cruise terminal and then cut thru the financial district this is mainly on the flat and you then have a gentle incline up Bush St back to the hotel just around the corner by Chinatown entrance. We are early 70's and late 70's and this was not a problem. Not much in the way of eating places around, we were disappointed with Chinatown itself, pretty though with the lanterns across the streets. Absolutely ideal hotel for short term stay Room: The room was spacious with nice decor except for the closet which was painted black and no light in there so it was a little difficult to see, perhaps paint the same colour as the room walls. the rest of the room is nicely neutral colours. It was very clean except the grouting in the shower which could off done with a scrub, it was a bit grubby. Storage space was only drawers in the bed side cabinets. Noise: It was surprisingly quiet and we enjoyed uninterrupted sleep. Great cafe around the corner called Mellis for breakfast/lunches We would definitely stay again if we were back in San Fran The front desk did not have any printed street maps for us to take. I know people rely mostly on their phones with GPS these days but us "oldies" prefer to have something written down. I actually went to another hotel around the corner and they gave me one which was brilliant and we referred to it all the time.

The room was perfect. The bed was very comfortable, and everything was super clean. The location was excellent, with parking very close by.

Booked it when I landed at SFO - About 30 minutes from the airport. Quick stopover but easy to get to, walking distance to good restaurants and fair price. Comfy bed. Took me a minute to figure out the shower knobs but once I did, it was a great shower!

The radiator got nice and warm! Comfy bed, good location, helpful staff. Tea, coffee and water available if you want it. Nice bathroom. Deposit returned instantly! Relatively small room but was expecting that. Next to a karaoke bar (this didnt affect us).

I am a frequent visitor and hotel32 one never falls short. They are consistent with there services, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the space is always clean. The area is so convenient for me to get around throughout the city. Highly recommend and will continue coming back here for my stays.

The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with high-quality sheets and towels. I really liked it! The hotel is just a few meters away from the portal entrance to Chinatown and close to the financial district, making the location pretty convenient.

Smaller rooms for the double and glass door to separate the bathroom from the bedroom was a little strange but the beds were comfortable and it was a good place to rest your head after a long day in the city. Not many amenities available but the staff was friendly and helpful.

There is no A/C in the room. The radiator heater is controlled on a timer - so gusts have no ability to control the temp. In the room. Overall - great location, great price, comfy bed & very clean!

The location was very good. The room was clean & the staff was friendly. No AC in the room; the floor inside was squeaky & our key to open the room wouldn't work. Had to reach out to the staff a few times to let us into our room. I will say that the staff resolved our issues when we requested it.

The room was nice and the beds and line were good The handle on the drapes broke but we were still able to open and close them. Having to open the front door with the room car 24/7 was a bit of a pain. The room was right on an ally where they picked up garbage several times and it was loud.

Attentive, they have someone there 24/7. Rooms are modern and clean, it’s a bit small but works for short stays like a quick trip into town or a weekend. Very convenient.

Location is good, a bit noisy during the night because of the karaoke bar downstairs, but they stop around midnight or you can fix it with some earplugs.

Location was excellent. It was one of the main reasons we picked this hotel and it definitely paid off. We found the room to be cleaned to a high standard and enjoyed our stay there. For some reason, we found the bed to be a little small. It would have been nice to have a larger bed in the room as there was space for it but it's far from a dealbreaker.

Cheaper hotel in the SF area. At the edge of ChinaTown and walking distance to downtown core and 15 mins to Marina. If you're looking for a more affordable place in SF this hotel is okay.

The room looks being cleaned , but found out the bedding wasn’t changed from previous guest when check in the room, there is hair on the bed and felt disgusting, call the front desk to change the bedding, the male stuff came in and was acting very mad because he had to make the bed

Great location for walking to many places, especially Chinatown and Union Square. Older building, but well maintained. Super friendly staff. Caution if traveling with co-workers, the bathroom door is frosted glass.

The check in staff was wonderful. She was very nice to let me check in early so I can make it to my appointment close by. The gift bag was a very nice touch as well.

This hotel is in a good area of downtown SF, not far from Chinatown, and on the better side of Union Square. The rooms are modern and the bathrooms attractive and clean. My room was freezing cold, with no heat coming though the radiator no matter what I did. (I’m usually not cold, even in colder rooms.) I slept fully clothed one night. The elevator was rickety and jerked around in every direction. And there’s no housekeeping, even though I was there for three nights—no opportunity even for a new towel! Staff is very brusque: it may not be a luxury hotel but you can still treat your guests like you aren’t miserable when they arrive.

Rooms were spacious and very clean. Beds were comfortable and provided a pleasant night’s sleep. Hotel is in Union Square right next to Chinatown entrance. Next door to a bar but we couldn’t hear all the street noise once inside our rooms. Very private. I was satisfied with everything at this hotel.

I travelled to San Francisco for a conference. This was the perfect place to stay: excellent location, all the amenities you need for a simple trip, and a great price. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I will say that it could use a little TLC for example the shower tub in my room looked a little worse for wear and could use replacing. The fan in my room was also not working but open windows created enough of a breeze. Still I had a great and would highly recommend this hotel if you're travelling to SF for business!

Convenient location. Nice and clean No AC. Does have ceiling fan so it was fine. The beds were kinda lumpy. But I slept well and my back didn’t hurt in the mornings.

My primary frustration and disappointment was that there was a significant maintenance issue with the room I was assigned. While the person at the front desk was able to reassign me, the new room was a downgrade from the rate I paid and there was no follow-up from the staff regarding the original issue with my initial room - or even an offer to compensate the difference in rate with downgraded room.

Location to UK consulate. Lots of restaurants/bars nearby. The staff was VERY accommodating and as the room was ready early, we went to the room at 11am instead of checking our bags at the hotel—thank you! Our room was very quiet. The shower nice. Bed comfy. We loved the wood floors. If I could stay in SF for $175/nt I’d be in heaven?

The hotel is older but has been tastefully renovated. It is very close to Chinatown with parking garages nearby. A nice value hotel.

The room was extremely cold - so cold that it was nearly impossible to sleep. The radiator was completely cold and not functioning, even after I tried adjusting it. There was no alternative heating source in the room - no heater, no climate control system - nothing that could make the temperature comfortable. I ended up sleeping almost fully dressed, as it actually felt warmer outside than inside the room. In addition, there was a repetitive metallic noise coming from outside of my room throughout the entire night. It sounded like something was repeatedly hitting metal right outside the window - possibly part of the building itself. The noise occurred every few minutes and made it very difficult to rest. The next morning, I mentioned the issue to a staff member in the elevator. I was told that “it’s cold in San Francisco” and that I could have called the maintenance team. However, a guest room should be properly prepared and heated before check-in, especially when temperatures are low. At midnight, when I was already trying to sleep, calling maintenance did not seem like a practical solution. It’s unfortunate that this stay was such a contrast to my previous visit. I hope management addresses these issues to prevent similar experiences in the future.

I loved the hotel for my short stay. Lita was very helpful and kind at the front desk and she checked me quick and the hotel was clean and comfortable.

No disappointments the best part of this was that super 8 by Wyndham had us cancel due to something this property that was much more luxury and less of a hassle was uncomplicated with confusing policies and rude receptionists.

However, the Internet is pretty bad, very slow and impossible to do any business meetings. The coffee maker was not working, but it was OK because the lobby has coffee and tea. There was a cockroach in my room, but the staff was very responsive. I only mention it because some people would find that a dealbreaker; I do not unless I see more than one (bedbugs would be another story! but absolutely no evidence of bedbugs). So while I wanted to give the hotel five stars, I gave it four for these for the reasons already listed.

This is a very poor accommodation should be 2 star or less . Rooms very small and infront of bathroom. Bathrooms door dont close. No chairs . Staff are rude. The only ok thing about this place is the location.should not classify as hotel rather than motel.

Nice little boutique hotel walking distance from shopping and Salesforce HQ. The room is small, but enough for 1-2 people. Only complaint is you can hear everything in the halls and some people constantly going between rooms were very disruptive.

Great stay but only downside is there is no valet parking or self-parking garage that belongs to the hotel. Wouldn’t have booked here if I had known that initially… also didn’t get a free drink voucher as advertised for gold members…. but other than that the hotel was very nice and modern. Still worth the nice stay for the affordable price overall.

Avoid this hotel. The rooms are so so, but the bigger issue is that it’s built right over a Karrie bar thats open till midnight. I asked to switch to a quieter room and they wouldn’t do it.

Everything was wonderful about this place! Even though I was out the major part of the day, I would come back to a peaceful room. Which I also had requested them to provide me with a room where I could do my morning yoga practices.

The hotel was in a great, safe location. I rented a car but ended up barely using it because the hotel was so well located. The highlight of the stay was the staff, they were so nice and accommodating and truly went out of their way for everyone.

Great location and well appointed. Typical of the small old hotel renos in major cities that provide smallish but stylish rooms with a very reasonable price tag. If you like to spend lots of time in your hotel room, or demand lots of space, this is not your kind of place. But if you’re spending lots of time in your room in San Francisco, maybe you should just visit Dallas.

it was good it was clean. just very small rooms and the rooms are really just for sleeping no where to relax in the room besides the bed. but if was clean and safe and i appreciate that.

Wonderful, peaceful, and pleasant stay. 10 minute walk to the Moscone CC and of course Chinatown. 4th floor room facing street was quieter than expected during normal sleeping hours. Staff is very kind and attentive. Definitely will stay here again.

It was a great location with parking garage close for our car. The room was clean and nice. The only things I didn't like, the room was small, like really small, and no microwave and the elevator was a little concerning at times.

The room was great and I loved the gift bag. The staff though was very unavailable, we had to wait over 30minutes twice with other guests for staff to appear from outside the building. I saw other guests leave almost late for flights because they had to wait. I also was locked out of my room 3 times by the staff and had to have my room card renewed multiple times. Finally the license they have for their elevators safety has been expired at this time for 5 years and every time we would take the elevator you can hear it scraping against the walls especially at the 7th floor when going up and on the 8th going down. Every time we stepped in the elevator we were nervous it might break down. Other than all that though the rest of the stay was nice, we liked the area and parking options (even though the staff recommended not parking anywhere nearby). Don’t think we would stay again though.

Couldn’t have asked for a better stay. From the hotel room to the lobby, it was clean. The staff were wonderful and helpful at every step. I will look forward to booking at this hotel next time I am in San Francisco.

Place was nice and clean, it was also centrally located which makes easy to get around in a relative short amount of time.

The hotel had a great location, on one side there was China town and on the other Union Square, a cute bar next door and an ice cream shop opposite. We loved the location. The room we got was super noisy at night though, we could hear the entire street, the hotel did move us to a different room the next day which was better noise wise but still not quiet and the noise from the street was seeping in. The rooms were quaint and clean.

I found the rooms to be quite charming. They do have updated bathrooms and the shower was quite enjoyabl with dual shower heads.

It was in the center of downtown San Francisco and everything was within 15-20 minutes. No on site parking but there was a parking garage right across the street

The first room I checked into did not have an appropriate lock on the door. All rooms had a swipe for a key card but this room just had a handle. You can lock from inside but not outside. They allowed em a different room which worked better. I’ve staid here before and it’s all usually the same. Clean, quiet, old elevator. Fine.

Good facilities, but the trend for open air showers to cut down customer shower duration is bothersome - and the shower head was too close to the wall to be comfortable. Good service, left comment for pack n play and it was ready upon arrival. Short check in.

I think it's probably best for business travelers and not families. Also, there is no gym.

This particular room (701) was loud because I could hear the elevator moving, but I've stayed in several other rooms here without that problem.

It’s an older Hotel from outside but modernized inside. Very clean and comfortable bed. Nice showers and TV easy for use.

The area around Union square and Market St shows the effect of economic downturn - empty shops, less people, generally not dynamic. But felt safe.

Hotel was in a good area and accessible everywhere, but quite small rooms.

I tried to check out the next day but the hotel staff insisted they have prepared a new room for me --- a room that's one room away from the elevator. I didn't want to risk staying an extra night in a room that might be just as noisy. Also, I didn't feel safe staying any more after noticing their elevator permit expired in Dec 2021. So I asked to check-out but they refused. I didn't know hotels can force customers to stay if they don't feel safe to. They proceeded to charge me for three nights even though I have already moved to a different hotel (so they are basically charging money for an empty room). It took me 3 hours on the phone going back and forth with the Expedia agents and the hotel manager to settle on getting a refund. It was eye opening to see the Expedia agents and the hotel staff telling me completely different stories of which party is responsible for the refund. Eventually I went to the hotel in person because I know this issue will only get ignored over the phone. Putting the Expedia agent and the hotel manager on the phone was helpful so they can call out who is lying. Shouldn't have been this hard. Poor experience.

It’s an adequate hotel, but I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. There was something sticky on the floor and on the countertops in my room, the windows were thin so it was quite loud at night, and the location is a bit rough (only a few blocks from the Tenderloin - sometimes that’s fine but in this case a bit too close)

Clean and modern, friendly staff, and great location! Bring ear plugs if you’re facing the street or near the elevator - it can be a bit loud.

Room was small but comfortable. Bathroom was clean but sink was very small. TV signal was in and out and there was a blue box floating on the screen while watching.

It’s a remodeled motel. The room is decently sized and clean, bathroom was small. Staff was friendly and I appreciated that the front desk faces the main door so staff can also see who is entering. Shower water could have been hotter. Compared to other similarly priced hotels in the area, this seemed like a good deal if you’re not looking for much other than a place to sleep and is clean. This is also a minute walk from Chinatown.

The hotel had a good location, but unfortunately, it was not clean. First, we had trouble even opening the door and had to go back to the front desk to get someone to assist us. Once we finally got in, I immediately felt dizzy, and it was clear that the room wasn’t clean at all. My friend and I struggled to fall asleep, and even when we did manage to drift off, we both had horrible dreams. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

Hotel 32One was conveniently located. It's a very clean and tidy hotel and in a safe area. The room was small but comfortable. The bed was super comfortable. I'd stay again.

My daughter and I stayed here for her birthday weekend, the staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean, comfortable bed. Shopping was within walking distance to downtown shopping, right at the gate of Chinatown, which you could walk up towards north beach for the best Italian food, we had sushi one night, hands down best we’ve ever had. The pier to Fisherman’s warf was a quick uber ride away. The area was clean, and I felt very safe walking around. Would definitely stay again:)

Hotel was good for a short business trip. No heater was a little odd but overall it was a decent hotel experience.

Easy check in. Beautiful, charming hotel. Friendly staff and I even received a welcome gift with a Starbucks gift card. Such a lovely surprise. The rooms were super comfortable and modern and they even had a large ceiling fan. I'll definitely stay here again when visiting the city.

Overall a decent stay. It was epugh given the days we were there as there was a heat wave that sucked and the rooms dont have air conditioning but we survived. Room was smaller than expected but fine for our needs. It was fairly central to everything we wanted to do while there which kept our Lyft costs low. Overall not much to complain about. Decent hotel for decent price.
