Awesome hotel. I only had an issue with the mini fridge and the ice machine on my floor that was not working, but they took care of it within a couple of hours.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely attentive to our needs. My husband is handicap and they were great. We go to San Francisco every year when the Cubs play there. This will be our go to hotel from now on.

The room was clean and the staff were very nice. Having a little grab and go shop at the bottom was very convenient. The water pressure in the shower was like a pressure washer but other than that it was a pleasant stay

The room was fine. Issue was finding parking in that area- we were told the garage isn’t full, went in and out of the garage 3 times trying to find a spot, spending a total of 2 hours! That neighborhood is NOT safe and was very uncomfortable for females to be driving around for that long, so we eventually valeted. The garage is extremely tight and very difficult to navigate, and they eventually put up the garage full sign to stop people from searching for spots. That really ruined our experience.

This hotel is clean, centrally located with many restaurants and food around. The room was cleaned every day and the staff is very friendly. My kids loved this hotel as well. The gym is well equipped.

I was very pleased with the staff at the time I checked in. They were respectful and had a great attitude. I really don't like the location of the hotel. It right next to the tenderloin and close to the red light district.

Good water pressure in shower. Instant hot water. So Quiet! no slamming of doors or annoying loud housecleaners. no loud kids or people running up and down halls. Clean bedding! NO NASTY SMELLS! Clean everything thank you! Ugly dreary old brown depressing carpet all over hotel. Rooms were so tiny. we could not walk around each other we had to take one step at a time to pass each other bed the beds into the bathroom. Lighting was too dim. Bathroom mirror Lights so dim hard to see to apply makeup.

We really enjoyed the skybar on the 46th floor. It has a spectacular view of the City of San Francisco on a 360- degree angle ! The room is also bigger compared to other I’ve stayed in SF. The breakfast buffet is great !

This was a very busy and lovely hotel which actually made me feel comfortable as someone travelling alone. I liked the bar in the main lobby, the bartenders were very friendly! The pool and hot tub area were pretty quiet which was nice. My room had a really nice view on floor 36, and was basic but had everything I needed. Bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains came in use. A few streets around this hotel contained some homeless population but they were not bothersome too me when I walked to stores or to get food. Lots of nearby places to eat and get drinks
- 5/5
Place was nice. Parking is expensive and I booked a city view room but when i got there they wanted an extra 50 a night. Paid it but I thought i already paid more. Nice place would stay again.

Location, cleanliness They encouraged me to park in the garage for the property-I parked across the road parking garage and was so glad after that I didn’t park in the one they recommended. Hotels was 79.00 for 24 hours and the one I parked in was 36.00 for 24 hours. Also they wouldn’t let you go through to the pool after 9 pm but let whoever was out there stay out there till almost 10 pm

Everything was average I would say for room and amenities. Rooms are a bit outdated. My problem was with the employee that checked us in. She was rude and dismissive, she wouldn't talk to us at all, not even to instruct me on paying for the deposit nor did she explain what the deposit was for. Offered all the other guest she was helping complimentary water bottles except myself and my husband. I also requested I be roomed no where near a dog, and she tried to dismiss me saying she had no way of confirming if guest had dogs, ofcourse until I asked her, does the hotel not charge additional for a pet? Which she answered to yes, I asked so how would it be possible that you are not aware that a reservation has checked in a pet?? Which she finally said no one next to your room has checked in a pet. This is very forward to say but observing her attention to other guest contrary to my experience i would dare to say this woman was prejudice.

The housekeeping staff did a great job cleaning the room each day, so I do appreciate their efforts and service. However, the overall condition of the room was not worth the price I paid for my stay. I’m especially disappointed because Hilton is usually my preferred hotel brand, and I’ve always had positive experiences in the past.

Room was tiny. But what was worse was the view…. Literally a blank wall and a large mechanical box. Not what I expected for a 46 floor hotel and for the price we paid for a birth da trip. Bathroom door didn’t close so there was no privacy. I have 2 sons so it made it so uncomfortable to use the restroom and shower. It was the worst hotel choice I have ever made.

The staff was super friendly and welcoming and the view of the city from the room was amazing. The location is not the best. It's literally a few blocks from the Tenderloin neighborhood, which is San Francisco's Skid row. There were doped up homeless people around and near the hotel. We mainly chose this hotel from the pictures of the fitness center. The fitness center is not the same as the pictures and was missing several pieces of equipment that we saw in the photos. The room was on the expensive side for it to be near such a rough part of the city. The room itself needed some cleaning and repairs...the bathroom light switch had brown stains, which looked like dried up blood on it. The sliding door to the bathroom was off the hinge, bathtub had cracks the list goes on. The room was also very dated and old.

- 2.5/5
The room was just okay. The lobby bar was nice, but the rooftop one was not as active. It had a great view, though. Overall, the value isn't great, though that might just be the city. I wouldn't categorize it as a 4-star hotel. It feels like the hotel is at an intersection of two different types of neighborhoods. Leaving the hotel on foot to the right, you're very close to Union Square, nice restaurants, and shops. Going left, however, is a totally different and unpleasant story.

My room itself was acceptable, but it was located far on the opposite side of the elevator area. The elevators were a consistent frustration: very slow, and at times they wouldn’t let you select your floor. I wasn’t the only one experiencing this; several guests mentioned the same issue. Staff interactions were mixed. Most were fine, but during the conference they came across as a bit unfriendly. At breakfast, I overheard a staff member complaining that guests were “taking too long eating,” even though we were still well within the posted breakfast hours. It created an unnecessary sense of being rushed. Checkout, on the other hand, was easy thanks to the card drop boxes in the lobby and the convenient pickup/drop‑off area outside. One thing to note: the walls are thin. Light sleepers may want to prepare for noise if neighbors are active. The surrounding area felt generally safe, though it’s still an urban part of San Francisco, with the same level of homelessness you’d expect in most major metro areas. Overall, the stay was workable for business travel, but there are a few minor issues worth being aware of.

- 5/5
Easy Check in, Staff was very helpful answering my questions. Room was as described. Very clean and comfortable. Hotel location is perfect, really close to Union square, lots a places to eat. Parking your car there over night for $71 is a bit too much, luckily we didn't have a car to park. Overall we'll stay here again anytime
- 4/5
The place to buy good was way too high priced
- 3/5
The bedsheets are stained, and the floor wasn’t cleaned thoroughly.
- 3/5
My room wasn’t ready so I was upgraded to a pool side room for $25 more a night. The room was small and well worn. The mattress cover at the base of the mattress was torn and haphazardly on the bed. The curtains were torn off the hooks. Furniture was chipped and glass tops cracked. The hinges on the dresser were unhinged. Room was clean. Staff was nice. The cityscape bar had a gorgeous view and great staff. The panna cotta was divine. Items in the store were obscenely overpriced. If it weren’t for a conference I would not have stayed at the property and don’t anticipate returning.

Room was clean, we had a room in tower 3 and the walk to the room was long, when I stay at large hotels I usually request rooms near the elevator. We stayed on the 8 room so no view except for the nearby building and we has a small window view. The location of the hotel was perfect, its walking distance to the union square and Bart. We had a buffet breakfast at Poach, very limited selection but it was a good price. I would stay at this hotel again if we visit SF again.
- 4/5
I received no info what so ever about the amenities at the property at time of check in. My patio had cigarette butts and other trash on the ground. Other than these issues, my stay was quite pleasant. Thanks!
- 4/5
Room was clean and ready early which was very nice. the window had a very nice city view and the staff was responsive kind and very helpful. We were able to leave our bags after checking out and pick them up later which was very nice for our trip. Overall had a great experience and would stay again.

- 3/5
The staff was great. The breakfast was OK. The place was generally clean. It was close to a very rough area. My one complaint is that I understand. It’s a business hotel but my wife and I were there on vacation and we booked a junior suite and the room only had one chair and an ottoman and one desk chair. There were no comfortable chairs for the two of us to relax.

There was a bad smell in our room we asked for room deodorizer or refresh. The staff stated they would send room service but didn’t seem like it made a difference. Stains on shower curtains not sure how often they are cleaned /changed .
- 5/5
Very nice room beautiful view from the balcony!!
- 3/5
Location is nothing of what I expected, not the safest area for tourists or people in general. The lighting in the room was so poor we wouldn’t properly get ready because of how dark it was. The house keeper woke us up multiple times before 9 am each day to clean the room which distributed our sleep and made the time slightly uncomfortable. Definitely not a place I would recommend to anyone
- 4/5
Rooms a bit tired Sky lounge should have proper food or a restaurant section

The room was okay, though not particularly clean. The staff were friendly, but because the property is so large, they couldn’t always respond promptly. It’s a decent place to stay as long as you don’t have exceptionally high expectations.

- 3/5
The hotel is not in the best location so beware! Once you walk outside you are near the Tenderloin to the left. Not a good area. The hotel completely price guaged due to conferences in the area. Three times the regular rate per night for an aging huge chain property is robbery! Stayed at many Hiltons that are in better shape, better locations, with better staff, at MUCH lower prices. We will not be back. The staff were not particularly friendly, except the bell hop.

The hotel overall is beautiful, front staff is amazing. The deli had food made to perfection. However, the sirens at night are horrible, but I understand being in the City, this is expected. The very VERY worst part, is the maid will wake you up at 8 am to clean your room, even though check out is 11am.

The windows were broken to the point water was coming in from the outside and soaking our clothing. We had to move everything away. There was no fan in the bathroom as well. Overall, I expected more from the property.

Booked and paid for a room MONTHS in advance for my wife's birthday weekend only to arrive at check in time for them to say room wasnt ready. Then they upsell me and "upgrade" for $180. I just paid because we just wanted to relax after being in the city all morning. I should have asked for a complimentary upgrade but here we are. Hotel itself is great super nice
- 4/5
The room and stay was lovely. HOWEVER, the breakfast restaurant “Poached” ruined everything! The breakfast is so poor and for $65 a pop is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! How can the Hilton offer this?! I am beside myself tha I paid $134 (for 3) for cold eggs, mass-produced food, and cheap, cheap quality. Ruined the trip.

Luxury hotel! Loved the staff. Love they have vending machines with items someone might need. Great food service. Hanging out lounge was busy but somehow felt there was enough space for everyone to fit in. Lovely rooms. I loved the views you get from staying on the higher levels rooms. Would book again.

The hotel itself is beautiful! My room was very cozy and clean will be staying again!
- 5/5
Our stay was over the Christmas holiday. The hotel was very slow during our stay, so I don’t know if our observations are consistent with a busier time at the hotel. Check-in was very smooth and easy, again no lines no crowds, we moved through very quickly. The room was very clean, no complaints. Thankfully, there was an in room coffee maker, which I really love having. They have a little coffee shop downstairs that also sells some sundries, hotel prices, which is typical. They have this place called the Skybar
- 5/5
Helpful staff at check-in. Clean room. Problem with being overcharged for parking was resolved quickly!

They gave away the suite I reserved. They ended up putting us in two rooms which was not ideal because we have minor children. Not the best stay I’ve had at a hilyon

My wife and I had a wonderful time. The Hilton is beautiful with many great amenities. The coffee shop in the lobby is the best coffee around!
- 5/5
Great view from balcony upgrade.

Poor condition upon arrival but they gave me a $50 food voucher. The shower was very hot and very cold, not stable temperature.

Room was great! Upgrade was offered and given at check in!
- 5/5
Great stay, friendly staff, and clean room!
- 5/5
Parking was convenient, though on the expensive side, which is pretty standard for the city. The hotel itself was clean and well-maintained. Some areas could benefit from a little updating, but nothing that detracted from the comfort of the stay. The sky bar was a highlight — incredible views of the city. I ordered some zero-proof drinks that were surprisingly delicious, and it would’ve been nice to see a few more small-bite options to pair with them. What really made the stay memorable was the staff. Every single person we encountered was friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. Their service really elevated the experience. Overall, well worth the cost, and I would absolutely stay here again without hesitation.
- 3/5
At the very least you could provide free parking and shuttle to/from airport for as much as it cost for nightly stays and that high price food.
- 5/5
Staff was exceptionally nice and accommodating. Love the little food shop in lobby!
- 3/5
Good hotel. Bathroom had a weird smell like it had never been cleaned, ever. We paid extra for room upgrade. :(
- 5/5
Loved the location!
- 4/5
I very much dislike the $35/day resort fee. It’s a real pain to figure out what buy…forced to spend money on the property.
- 5/5
I’m going to stary one more day
- 5/5
amazing view, good location. Big hotel has various amenities. Unfortunately all area around is filthy as whole San Francisco is.
- 5/5
Excellent customer service, fabulous room, love the location, and will come back again.
- 5/5
Unfortunately, the area around the hotel has a high volume of homeless. Felt uncomfortable leaving the hotel on foot.
- 5/5

This property is old & dated. We spent extra to get a suite & it was such a disappointment. The room was spacious, but that was about it. It is loud in the lobby as they often have conferences & events there. There is a beautiful bar called City Scape with the best views of the city. I wouldn’t stay here again though.

- 5/5
Great room, and free upgrade
- 3/5
A very substandard experience considering the Hilton name. Could NOT believe there was no access to my subscription channels. Unheard of these days. They also charged me an additional 60$ fee to check in early (1:30PM instead of their usual 3 PM) which I thought was totally unnecessary. No room service either.
- 4/5
Overall stay was good, we had the queen with a balcony facing the skyline. Beautiful view, not super noisy, decent location. Sky bar is also worth checking out. Our room was dusty (but clean) and the hotel felt a little dated. The valet/parking garage situation is confusing and was a nightmare for us, but I feel like that comes with parking in the area. Overall we had a decent experience.

Everything was great, a bit pricey but hey its San Fransisco
- 1/5
Rooms were not ready at 9:30 pm - rooms booked were not available- upgrade was not given- horrible experience for the 2nd time
- 4/5
Had to report light out in bathroom and no body wash in shower. Hot water not hot enough
- 4/5
Good location for transportation and food. The staff tried really hard to upsale our room, for 15 minutes we had to convince them we just wanted the room we booked.
- 5/5
Clean room and comfortable. Parking is a bit pricey. WiFi is only free if you area Hilton Honors member.

They don’t have valet parking, but everything else was fine

Very large with all the amenities that we like
- 5/5
Great views from sky bar
- 3/5
Excellent friendly service. The rooms are roomy and the hotel is elegant. 5min walk from Union Square. Parking is outrageously expensive. Plenty of transportation options. Why not a perfect score? Parking is very limited and used for 2 hotels. Sometimes drove in the tight space that the garage is over and over until we found a spot. Maintenance is mediocre; the bathtub was clogged and should have been noticed. The back of the hotel, where the parking garage is, is very sketchy. Lots of homeless and some doing drugs. One of them yelled at my husband for no apparent reason. Oce we realized this we never walked that street again. I will stay here again, this was my 4th stay. Cable cars a 3-4min walk away.
- 5/5
The room we choose was very spacious. Very clean and most importantly, very quite
- 5/5
The view of San Francisco from the rooftop lobby was spectacular!
- 5/5
Great room and services
- 3/5
Nothing to say not perfect customer service
- 5/5
The hotel is beautiful. It is extremely clean, and omg it smells so good inside. The rooms have everything one may need conveniently, it is very quiet there’s not a lot of traffic noise. They have several dining options available the flatbread pizza was good, but you could walk out and have an array of restaurants to pick from. During the day you won’t have any feeling of uneasiness however at night there is a large number of homelessness and a few prostitutes. There is the Shell gas station not too far from the hotel which is open 24/7 in case one needs to get gas for an early flight, such as myself my flight was at 545A, the gas station was empty the area was very quiet but you do need to be alert as there were homeless people a block away having drugs. This by no means takes anything away from the hotel itself, it is beautiful, clean, great customer service, parking is also very convenient you could go in and out without a hitch, and that scent all over the lobby was just relaxing and it just smelled so good! The Hilton is always my go to whenever wherever I travel, never disappointed and nor will anyone be if they stay there. Absolutely loved it. And it’s conveniently located smack in the middle of downtown San Francisco, close to all the stores like Macys, Louis Vitton, and so many others. Can’t wait to go back with more time, I really enjoyed it.

No proper instructions on WiFi - missed important meetings and then fornt desk casually said " did you add 1in front of the room number " ? Ridiculous. No shower gel for the entire stay. I called and informed to change. Had to wait for 3-4 hrs for tooth paste. No shaving blades in the entire hotel. They couldnt send me one and not even in the shop downstairs. Please is only selling for views and not worth the stay. No phone room to take a business call downstairs. If I had the time, I would fight for money back.

The buffet breakfast had lots of choices and the food was reasonably good. Bed was comfortable. Union square location was near powell station so we had convenient access to the free muni during the weekend.
- 5/5
Really comfy bed. Gorgeous view of the city. Easy to get a ride.
- 2/5
It is so annoying to be forced to buy $70 of food and, in addition, have a “resort tax” of another $80 on top the the hotel fee. It wasn’t transparent.
- 5/5
Loved the 24 hr convenience store in lobby.
- 3/5
Rude servers at the expensive small buffet. Limited staff and long waiting lines. Doubles beds room aren”t queen size. The smallest hotel window to look outside.
- 5/5
Modern, clean and great service. I was impressed with the $35 daily allowance for food and beverages.
- 5/5
Everyone very friendly and helpful

Hotel was very nice. Great location to get around the city. Didn’t walk around much at night just took Lyfts. Great trip.
- 5/5
Now I’m just waiting to see if they find my hearing aid charger and case that I accidentally left behind in our room.
- 2/5
I asked the front desk for a room change due to people banging on my door at night, and they refused without me paying extra for an upgrade. After a tour of the lobby at night, I learned all kinds of activities happen at this hotel, such as prostitution and vagrancy. The next day I called again and shared how unsafe I felt. I spoke with someone else who sympathized and moved my room, but in that room there were hairs on my sheets and little crumbs of stuff consistently. I came for a conference, which went well at the hotel, but my personal stay was horrible.
- 4/5
Nice little market open 24/7 and get $35 of credit everyday towards food or drinks on property
- 5/5
Great place!
- 4/5
Didn’t like that there was no valet! Trying to find the parking garage was a nightmare.
- 3/5
It's just a really bad location at this point.
- 5/5
The courtyard has a pool and hot tub. There are plenty of staff to help with questions about the city. There's a pretty sky deck bar. It was clean. It is directly across frim rental car drop off.
- 1/5
Upon arrival, bedding had dried blood stains on sheets and comforter. The room and bathroom were not very clean. On our last day, there was a cockroach on the toilet. This was very disappointing and not what would be expected from a Hilton property.
- 5/5
This hotel is in a great location and has great amenities. Really good value for all it has to offer. Highly recommended it.
- 5/5
This hotel is very nice, clean, spacious. The multiple dining options were very nice too. The location is so-so as it is not actually on Union Square.
- 5/5
Property is too good, but around its unsafe
- 5/5
Staff mer my requests. Attended quick to any questions and concerns I had during my stay. My room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Had a balcony with a skyline view and views were amazing!! Will definitely return!! Thanks Hilton!!

- 5/5
Fine hotel. It’s a glorified Hampton Inn, which is a compliment. Except no free breakfast. Instead there’s a $50 buffet.
- 2/5
Disappointed to see how run down the hotel and area as a Bay Area resident. No valet available so parking was a little scary. No room service but they do have a 24hr store opened. Unfortunately a lot of homeless outside hotel. I was only there for a few days and had higher expectations of this brand of hotels.
- 5/5
Good deal
- 5/5
It's was a weekend get away , restaurants near by and great shopping and PRIDE weekend lots of festivities
- 5/5
Beautiful roof top view of the city with high priced food and drink, and poor variety of food. Over-priced parking! $70/night. Unsafe and filthy area outside of hotel along sidewalks to get to the Hilton Parking Garage, or go sight seeing. Hilton should provide safe free shuttle service at those fees.
- 4/5
I liked the location which was close to a lot of city’s attractions including China Town and Civic Center. I also enjoyed Cityscape Sky Bar on the hotel’s 46th floor which provided a 360-degree view of downtown. My only gripe was the $35 MANDATORY “destination fee” which you could use toward food and drink at the hotel. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed my 6-day stay at Hilton.
- 3/5
Very seedy area. Lots of homelessness, public urination in doorways, philthy sidewalks. I did not feel safe on most streets around here.
- 5/5
Room had a beautiful view of the most beautiful city in the world!
- 5/5
Everything was perfect!
- 5/5
Great and spacious room with a view. Staff was always super helpful.
- 5/5
I think the hood is dangerous
- 3/5
We checked in and were informed there was an extra $35 per day amenity fee. This was not included in what we paid with Expedia. We were told that spending money at their market would come out of the fee. This was not true and we ended up being charged almost $150 more than what we paid initially. Will not stay here again due to deceptive business practices
