The whole staff is simply wonderful. Yousef made it extra special, it’s the best place to stay when I’m SF!

I loved the location of the hotel. I took the ferry to the Ferry building stop and loved that I only had to cross the street to get to my hotel. I walked most places and had a nice morning walk/run in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The staff was lovely too. I had a room next to the elevator and below a busy room. It was a little noisy in the morning.

After checkout, the new valet did bring the wrong car at first. Best to doubles-check before retrieving it. But he was very apologetic and it didn’t take too long. Minor inconvenience for an overall excellent stay.
- 4/5
Nice design, friendly staff, and nice that breakfast was available in the lobby every morning. I didn't take advantage of the bike rental, gym access, or happy hour, but it was nice to know they were available. As other reviews have stated, the room was extremely small. I was traveling solo, but I can't imagine staying there with another person. The shelf over the bathroom sink was the biggest issue-- I couldn't wash my face in the sink without hitting my head on the shelf.
- 5/5
The place was exactly what I needed for a quick in and out trip. I’ll likely stay here for all of my work trips to SF moving forward.

Lobby is very comfortable and inviting
- 5/5
The lobby and the view from the room are super pretty. Walking distance to a lot of things (Giants game, farmers market, Piers, Alcatraz shuttle). However it is a main road right next to the ocean so there will be loud cars driving by until 3:00amish, other than that loved the view.
- 3/5
The room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. However, the room was very dark with only 2 standing lamps providing minimal light. There was only 1 chair at the desk, meaning that one person had to sit on the bed. I also struggled with the air conditioning as it kept turning off over night, presumably to save power. I would get up every 2 hours, turn it on and then repeat 2 hours later when the room got too hot. The hotel is in a fabulous location with easy access to transport.

Good location Room was a bit tight! Breakfast could have been better for sure!

Very cozy lobby and friendly staff.

I love the Harbor Court. It is about a mile down the Embarcadero to Oracle Park so great for Giant's games. Staff are so helpful and friendly. The only thing I would add to the management is that it would be great if they had some snacks with their happy hour, and some better coffee packages in the room (needs little milk containers) and a little better breakfast setup (need a toaster for the bagels, maybe some hard boiled eggs, etc.). Otherwise, perfect location and great hotel.

Excellent location, decent breakfast and a nice happy hour The tv was small and mounted in on an odd angle but it really didn’t bother us.

Overall, the hotel was fine, it was clean. Unfortunately, they did not put a notice anywhere in the bathroom that the shower floors are like a slip and slide and slanted. I am a mid 30s female, ex-dancer and very fit, but as I stepped into the shower with my left foot it was so slippery my leg went up the wall and I went into the shower falling, landing on my right hand. I tore ligaments in my right ring finger and am in considerable pain. I should sue the hotel for negligence of not notifying of the very slick shower floor, but instead, I am taking care of this healing process myself. Be warned that if you are in a room with a walk-in shower, the floor could be very slippery…be careful when stepping in!

Prime location for sure. Great bikes. Great to have access to the salty water pool of the Y. You can feel the History of the building. Great coworking area in the hall. Small room, my desk chair was blocked by a pillar. I guess I can just highly recommend to take an ocean view room. My room was small and no view, and not convenient to work on the desk.

For our plans in San Francisco, the location was amazing. It was easy to walk to the ferry building, it was easy to walk to BART. The staff was lovely. It was clean and surprisingly quiet. The room was small. But that isn’t a deal breaker for me. The view wasn’t what I had hoped from the room, but again, that wasn’t a deal breaker and it may have been that I didn’t chose to pay more for a Bay view room.
- 5/5
It was an historical building yet the rooms though not large were updated and clean. Nothing
- 3/5
The room started to smell like cigarettes around 10:30pm. I tried calling the front desk to see if I could change rooms, but after letting it ring 10x and then trying back 10 min later with still no answer, I just accepted my fate since it was only 1 night and I needed to be up early. Door to the room was less than 3 ft from the bed. I am used to small SF hotel rooms, but I’ve never had to sleep with my head so close to the hallway. Thank goodness for ear plugs. Location is great and staff that I did interact with were all nice. Breakfast is just pastries. Do not take room 523 if you can help it.

We came here for Opening Night for the SF Giants and wanted a special room for my wife and I; we had the most beautiful view of the bay and the lit-up Bay Bridge. We had the Waterfront king room. We also had our son come up the next day for his 25th birthday and they made it very special in his room the decorated it with some goodies and he was very happy when he opened the door. We also had great interactions the front desk staff, the chief engineer and room attendants. I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants a special visit.

We’ve stayed here many times and it’s has been inconsistent. I prepaid for a waterfront room and it is really the only reason we stay here. I would never book another room type because they’re small and there is no view at all. It’s cramped. When we went to check in they said we are sorry we overbooked and there are no waterfront rooms available. So they put us in a room we didn’t ask for or pay for. They did comp the valet but only after inquiry. We won’t stay here again as my trust is broken that we won’t be getting the room we book and pay for. Without the ocean and bay bridge view, this hotel is not worth it. We will stay at 1 Hotel down the street from now on. The staff were nice though and apologetic. Inconsistency. Rooms are small and uncomfortable if not the waterfront. No charging capability for phone. Had to have full block and cord and outlet access scarce.

Very nice staff. Locked our luggage after checkout so we can go to Hog Island for lunch and also do some shopping and sight seeing.

The stay is amazing with all the great amenities and options they offered. with the old school look with modern twist rooms, free breakfast in the mornings, the wifi is good enough for work and the benefits of being close to the conference where I was attending. the four nights was great and was able to accomplished so much with my time at San Francisco and Harbor Court Hotel has welcomed me with open arms to guide me to start my journey. Highly Recommend and will book again.

Lot of stuff near by. Beautiful views and close to the port. Plenty of places near by to eat. High end and value. My one recommendation is pay for the view. The room was really really small (it is a historic hotel) and if I opened the blinds 40 ft away was someone's room or apartment. I could see right in and I was on the top or 8th floor.

First, the view from my window was essentially nonexistent and quite unpleasant, which significantly affected the overall experience. More importantly, the noise level in the room was unacceptable. There was constant loud noise coming from the outdoor air conditioning units, the heating system inside the room was extremely noisy while running, and even the refrigerator inside the nightstand produced a noticeable humming sound throughout the night. Because of these combined noises, I was unable to fall asleep until around 4:00 a.m. on both nights. This is simply not reasonable for a hotel stay where guests expect rest and comfort. For future guests assigned to this room, I would recommend that the hotel provide earplugs, or preferably address the noise issues directly.

Not all rooms have a view so make sure to verify what you are expecting. We valet parked as self parking is very limited. It is located right on the Bay along the Embarcadaro. The art walk in this are is fabulous! You are close to down town and all sorts.of eateries. There is a sushi restaurant next door. The Ferry Building is within walking distance.San Franciscomnever disappoints! Will definitely stay here again!

Not worrying about the details of your hotel stay allows you to focus on enjoying your environment. It was nice to have a little feel of home in our visit, to be well cared for and continually, warmly greeted. Lastly, the view from the penthouse room was fantastic. It can’t be understated. It was wonderful viewing the water in the morning and before sleeping. I recommend this stay to any visitor to San Francisco.

The hotel was cute, clean, simple. The issue we had was with the parking- I paid for valet parking and then they just let my car sit out front in the 15 min parking spot all night. Even more ridiculous is the nearly 20 minutes I waited for a valet person to retrieve my keys. I paid $80 for them to do nothing with my car.

You guys - I cannot say enough good things about this property and the staff! I had to do a little hotel hopping due to rates and availability (there was a big conference the week I visited). The helpfulness and attentiveness of the check-in staff was wonderful, all amenities were explained clearly, hotel was able to hold my luggage during my meetings, and had great suggestions for enjoying the city in the little time I had. Room was pleasantly bigger than I had expected and I LOVED the hotel soaps/shampoo/conditioners.

Myself and my wife have stayed at many different hotels in San Francisco. The stay at Harbor Court Hotel was made especially relaxing by the friendliness, courtesy and care offered by the hotel staff. Two of the staff provided truly outstanding service during our stay - Janelle at the checkin desk, and Luis Cortez the bellman. Staff like this really differentiate the enjoyment of stays like ours. A big thank you to both of them and all the other staff who made our stay so enjoyable and welcoming.

The location of this hotel is absolutely ideal. Perfect to stroll to dinner and along the Embarcadero. Request Room 828 for a stunning view of the Bay Bridge. Carlos at the Front Desk was darling and very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast had delicious coffee and treats. I will definitely return.

Wonderful property. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. It's an old classic hotel with so much charm. Walking distance to the ferry building.

Been to SFCO twice. Stayed here twice because it’s convenient and customer service is always great. A few restaurants at walking distance which makes it even nicer

My son and chose this location as it was near Alcatraz. The staff are friendly and the location is minutes away from all the local tourist spots. We had an amazing time in San Francisco and we will definitely be staying there again when we return.

Staff was amazing. Always smiling and helpful. The continental breakfast with pastries and muffins was tasty! Very cool relaxing lobby to sit and talk with friends. Easily walkable to many areas. No need for a rental car with public transportation close by as well.

This room was extremely small, I knew it was a full size bed which wasn’t a problem but the room itself was extremely small and felt too compact.

The hotel was quiet and a great location to the ferry building. The staff were all very friendly.

Scammers will force you to pay a mandatory additional “amenities fee” per night once you arrive at the hotel. Disgusting business practices. And a very lackluster hotel with bad service.
- 4/5
Great location, comfortable room and bed.
- 4/5
Convenient summed it up
- 5/5
Area around hotel not the best but hotel was very nice
- 4/5
Staff was great! The location is excellent!
- 5/5
Insane views and location. Go to the farmers market on Saturday.
- 5/5
Location of Hotel is terrific! Lots to do with excellent restaurants close.
- 3/5
The property was in a great location and we had a lovely view. We had to change rooms the second night due to a leak and this was quite inconvenient because we got back late from a concert.
- 2/5
I needed to cancel last minute do to a family issue I was not even offered a partial credit on the entire cost being charged to me . 468.00 dollars are you kidding me !!
- 5/5
Great location for SF Marathon. Beautiful place. Upgraded room. “Free” breakfast, happy hour and bottle of wine. Note: $39 dollar plus tax a day “amenity fee” is not included even if you pay in full on Expedia. Got hit with $137 dollars extra for 3 nights. Be warned.
- 3/5
The rooms are very dark and you can hear other guest in their room. Walls are paper thin. Rooms are dark and small. It’s clean and walkable
- 3/5
Its really expensive for what they offered
- 5/5
Great room, great location and good price!
- 4/5
Would stay here again. Staff friendly, hotel clean tidy.
- 5/5
If you are looking for something other than a typical chain hotel, this is the place to stay! Unique history of the building, very friendly and professional staff, cozy and relaxing. Not too far of a walk to attractions like fisherman’s warf; you can experience the Bay Area. If we come back to San Francisco, easily would stay again!
- 5/5
Excellent location near Ferry terminal, BART, muni etc. staff very helpful. Bonus was the access to the YMCA, bikes and free breakfast. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
Rooms small. Everything else was wonderful.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our weekend getaway stay. We were in SF to see a Dodgers and Giants game. Walking distance to Oracle park about 20 mins. Walked over to Fisherman’s Ward approx., 30 min walk. They have a great Japanese restaurant next door. Also an American restaurant. Would def., stay here again.
- 5/5
One of the better hotels we have enjoyed but beware $70 per night parking.
- 4/5
Close to Oracle Park and the piers. Like the view out the front door. Would have liked more than one small bottle of complimentary water in the room, there were two of us. We had a nice stay.
- 5/5
Went to SF for Giants game and the hotel is walking distance to the park. The room was clean, quiet and bed was comfy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was good and they had a wine hour every afternoon.
- 5/5
It was great- location by the ocean was excellent- service was excellent. Room was small but very comfortable
- 5/5
Great location for the ball game! Easy walk to the park and plenty of options for food along the way.
- 5/5
The recent renovations are a big plus—everything feels fresh and thoughtfully updated. I especially love the complimentary wine tastings and continental breakfast, which add a really nice touch to the overall experience. The bathroom spa products are another highlight—Malin + Goetz is such a quality brand and really elevates the stay. But what truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. They’ve always been so kind and genuinely attentive. You can tell they care about your comfort from check-in to check-out. Highly recommend to anyone visiting San Francisco. Harbor Court continues to be a place I look forward to returning to again!
- 5/5
Very helpful, friendly staff, thank you!
- 4/5
The hotel was nice and staff was amazing. I wasn’t aware parking would be $70/night
- 5/5
Initially we were put in a room that had a very small bed. They were very kind and apologetic when I asked for a room with a bigger bed to match my reservation. They even upgraded me to a waterfront room with beautiful views. I can’t wait to stay here again.

I love this place, but have not stayed at the Harbor Court for a long while. It is a bit tired, has lost its playful energy. It's difficult to figure out how to get room service and I think the Japanese restaurant next door is where the food comes from. I could not download the me nu off of the TV. Frustrating. Morning pastries and coffee were delicious and ready to go, despite a long power outage that affected the entire block. Tough on the staff, but they performed well under pressure.
- 5/5
The rooms are small but well designed, clean and good amenities.
- 4/5
I did NOT like the fact that there are no grab bars in the shower. Floor is slippery even with the mat. And at my age I'm very concerned about falling. This could be a show stopper for future returns (this was our third visit).
- 5/5
Staff helpful , room nice & clean lovely bathroom , in a great place to get around , if I ever visit San Francisco again I will definitely stay here
- 5/5
Hotel was very nice -- service was great, nice location, and we had a great view from our room of the Bay Bridge. Would definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
Room was small, but had everything you needed. I would stay again!
- 5/5
Very convenient, right across the street from the ferry building. Also very close to giant stadium.
- 5/5
Great stay, friendly staff, clean safe room in excellent location!
- 5/5
Very good
- 5/5
Great location and amenities such as wine hour and great morning coffee and pastries.
- 5/5
The place is great, there are many places to eat all within walking distance. The room is a bit small but it offer everything you need. We will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great place to meet up with friends for a weekend in SF. The staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms were so quiet, comfy beds. Can't wait to stay here again.
- 5/5
Great staff, front desk and valet parking staff were amazing!! Thank you!
- 5/5
Clean kind staff and easy valet
- 4/5
All hotel employees were extremely pleasant and helpful. The location is superb. Room was a little dated; hard-to-find outlets, no easy space in bathroom to put toiletries. But the location is so great it overcomes everything.
- 4/5
Really a great stay. Very quiet, cozy lobby, awesome location across the street from the Ferry Building, and staff was professional. The only negatives were that our TV had no menu for scrolling channels, the room and bathroom were really small and the lighting kind of sucked. I would stay here again though.
- 5/5
Great stay. Room is small but the location is perfect.
- 5/5
Lovely hotel. Great staff
- 4/5
Only 2 things about the room that I did not like. Windows looked like they should open but I was unable to do that. The shower door would not stay closed when in the shower water on the floor outside the shower stall i had to wipe it up. Minor issues that should be easy to fix. This is the second year i have stayed for my birthday and im glad i came back Thankyou
- 5/5
The location was perfect for the game.
- 5/5
It was a great stay! Very kind employee
- 5/5
Beautiful place, attentive staff, our room on the 8th floor has an amazing view of the bay/Bay Bridge! We‘ll plan to return soon…
- 5/5
Perfect spot for walking to the Baseball game and they have bikes no extra charge and they are located in a safe area for early AM walking by myself while my husband likes to sleep-in
- 4/5
The room was very small, we no view at all. Breakfast was very disappointing, just continental and all sugar
- 5/5
The hotel is nice. We did use a nearby parking lot as $80 per night in parking seemed exceptionally high
- 4/5
This was my 3rd stay at this hotel. Usually they give me a bay view but this time, I got the city view. I was offered to upgrade for $70. Valet was already $70 so I passed on the upgrade. I still like the hotel, but service was underwhelming.
- 5/5
The valet and receptionist where great. Frer BOB's Donuts. Conviently close to the Fery Building and Oracle Park
- 5/5
Stay here all the time, location is safe and convenient. Rates are good for San Francisco
- 5/5
Love this hotel. Stay there often.
- 4/5
They offered EV charging services but the process was awkward and time consuming. The hotel was very nice and staff were otherwise helpful and very pleasant
- 4/5
Convenient location
- 5/5
This is an old historic property so understand the rooms are small with limited electrical outlets. It was very clean and updated to create a boutique feeling. The staff was welcoming and very helpful. It's in a great location to enjoy the San Francisco waterfront.
- 5/5
Harbor Court is clean, convenient and the staff is really nice.
- 5/5
We have a lovely view of the bay, and the Baybridge. It was beautiful to see the sunrise and set. The environment around the hotel by the waterfront, full of life and music and very good job of SF getting the city back in order for touism

This is an iconic hotel. The view of the Bay Bridge was incredible. The window were thick enough to prevent any noise coming through. Absolutely will stay here again
- 5/5
Very welcoming. Bayside rooms have excellent view of Ferry Building and Bay Bridge.
- 5/5
All good
- 4/5
The view was amazing!!! They said continental breakfast was included if was more like coffee and a donut, and I was supposed to get a bottle of vine never got it, besides that everything was amazing especially the view
- 3/5
Excellent staff but breakfast needs improvement
- 5/5
Pretty solid for its price. Only complaints were the shower took a while to get warm in the morning and parking was expensive at $70, but not unexpected for SF. Overall hard to beat given it is in a safer/cleaner part of the city.
- 5/5
It was a very nice property very secluded and cozy. I would stay there again and recommend it to a friend.
- 5/5
Amazing. Easy walk from the BART and MUNI (embarcadero) even with heavy luggage. Lovely staff. Great room, spotlessly clean and bed SO comfortable. No noise, good air con. Light breakfast in the mornings which was more than adequate. Happy hour early evening with free wine. Would have absolutely no hesitation using on future visits. Well done Harbor Court.

I was perhaps unlucky but there was no hot water when I arrived and it wasnt fixed until the following afternoon. Their online presence on booking sites misleads into thinking they have a pool. They do not, they only give you access to the local YMCA, which is closed during the weekend. Despite that, they went ahead and charged a resort fee of about 50 USD per night, without even informing me it was being charged or asking on which card to do so. They had assured me the card asked at check in was only for a deposit. I did get a partial refund and some courtesy credit from Expedia for the trouble, but at this price and star rating, I expected better. They have free bikes for guests to use. I didn't but it was nice to have the option.
