We had an amazing stay at the Galleria Hotel! Its perfect location aligned perfectly with our itinerary, making everything so convenient. From check-in to check-out, every staff member was incredibly friendly and eager to help. The rooms were spotless and cozy, creating a truly welcoming atmosphere. We can't wait to stay there again on our next trip to San Francisco!

Very central location and great to go walking lots of places. Their evening sipping hour was the best! We mingled with other guests, it was fun. Also they have an outdoor space "Park Terrace" to enjoy Zen in the middle of SF downtown! Nothing much.

This was my second stay at Galleria Park Hotel, and I was very happy again. The staff is friendly and professional, the room is clean. Highly recommend to anyone visiting SF.

Very noisy poor sound proofing and no blackout curtains. Having travelled from abroad I needed to sleep during the day and couldn’t due to bad blinds and a lot of noise at night.

Beautiful lobby area, cocktails at 5:00. Very helpful and friendly staff. The room was spacious and well appointed. The room was facing the street and was quite noisy from outside traffic. The manager said that the problem is being addressed and renovations to those room is scheduoed.

It was a clean hotel and staff was very friendly! Valet staff was amazing too. I wasn’t aware hotel charges for parking which that alone is 74.00 extra on top of your stay and a few charges for tax as well. Other than that hotel was very clean n nice staff.

The staff is courteous and helpful. Location was really central and close to Union Square. The room itself was clean, with fresh bed linen and mentioned amenities. The only negative was that the shower stall had mold on the front wall/ corners. Since we stayed only for one night and noticed it the next morning, we did not mention it to management.

A great hotel in a convenient location, with lots of areas of San Francisco in easy reach, whether that be through walking or catching public transport. Room was clean and spacious, the bathroom wasn't the largest, but sufficient and clean too. Really easy check-in/out process too and staff were always on hand to help if need be.

Great little hotel in the heart of the financial district on a relatively quiet block. Quick, easy walk down to the waterfront, Moscone Center, SF MoMa, Union square, etc. The staff were all wonderful, and the evening happy hour was a fun, festive event with good wine, cocktails and snacks. We also appreciated the high quality coffee and tea provided each morning. The rooms and bathrooms were quite small, though. The tiny sink was just in the middle of the room, not even right outside the toilet/shower area like in many hotels. And while not terrible, we could definitely hear a bit of street noise from our room on 3rd floor. Beds were extremely comfortable! Overall a great stay for a very reasonable price.

Great hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast sandwich was clean and healthy. The window in the bathroom did not close which made it a bit uncomfortable to be in there during the colder mornings. The lighting in the bath is low making it difficult to dress in the morning.

Everything was perfect from start to finish, and the staff truly went above and beyond. I will definitely be staying here again!

The location is great! The value for money is good, considering the location and the other facilities. They made us choose between a room with a street view, more noisy, and one room with a patio view, more quiet. We were after a long flight and we wanted quiet, so we chose the room with the patio view, thinking that it will be a nice garden or something. It wasn't! The hotel is in a form of a square, so we only could see the room from the other side of the square. But this was on us, because they asked.

The room was spacious for San Francisco and very clean and tidy. We were welcomed by the valet service and the front desk. Check in was easy and got some delicious fortune cookies upon arrival. I found the bed to be very comfortable.

Location was so close to everything we had planned to do. The room was very nicely appointed and very comfortable. We had a difficult time finding places to plug in all of our devices. Two outlets in the bathroom is not sufficient for two Guests.

Surprise fee upon check in (~$41) for things like coffee in the room, water in the room, happy hour martini's, were a little irritating, since it was not expected. But, in the big scheme of things, it was fine. I would stay there again. Pretty minimal charge compared to some "resort" fees charged by other SF hotels.

Older charming hotel, which has been revamped. The rooms are big, comfortable and luxurious. I loved staying in a smaller boutique like hotel during my conference, which was very close to the convention center.

Our stay was wonderful. The room was clean and very comfortable, we really enjoyed our illy coffee. The staff was attentive at all times.

Great location and nice large rooms, but the hotel feels a bit tired. Shower had mold around it. Public restroom had wallpaper that was ripping. Our room was also loud -- with lots of street noise - had to sleep with ear plugs in.

Staff were great, a bit expensive but that’s just how it is in San Francisco. The room was good, convenient. They gave umbrellas which saved us cause we had a rainy day. Good valet service, not cheap but good. The shower - you run the water without the option to not get wet so it’s just on you- and it starts cold. But not a big deal. Receiving sleepers could be nice. Expensive, but so are the other hotels in the city

Really loved my stay - as upgraded to a suite and a bottle of wine as part of hotels.com VIP Access perk and it was the perfect location to get work done and relax. Lovely fireplace in the lobby and a sipping hour with complimentary martinis! How can you beat it? My only suggestion would be for the facility to upgrade the street facing windows to double pane to filter out more of the city

Stay we’re friendly and in a good location The noise from the road at night was very loud and kept me awake both nights. Construction and traffic. Windows were not suitable for such a busy noisy area. Told at check out that there was white noise machine in the room I hadn’t seen but doubt it would make much difference.

Location is great, close to downtown/ chinatown/ferry building. Staff was friendly and helpful. The floors are mostly carpeted and halls are dimly lit. The lobby is small but nice. We were on the 7th floor but could still hear some traffic from the street. We could also hear the neighbors opening/closing their doors and people talking in the hallways. In addition the HVAC system works well but was noisy. The bathroom was small but the shower smaller. The shower is so narrow that you can hardly put your elbows out. Recommend taking advantage of the coffee/tea and wine hours. Also highly recommend using the White House Garage for parking a block up. It was well lit, clean and has loud music playing. The lanes are a bit narrow but if you have a smaller car, no problem. The parking here is about half the price as at the hotel.

I was visiting San Francisco opening weekend of MLB, to catch a game and to celebrate my birthday. I traveled with my two boys 5 and 7 year olds. Although we weren't able to check in early, the staff made check in as smooth as possible. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very kind to us and welcomed up to leave our luggage and use the lobby restroom. By the time we got back to our hotel room, all of our luggage was there and the staff was so kind that they had surprised me with a bottle of champagne and a personally written Happy Birthday card. All the staff made sure we felt welcomed and recognized. The location was excellent. We were able to walk to and from Oracle Park with our little guys and also catch the trolley at Market and Powell, walking. The beds were comfy and rooms were spacious. It was a great experience! Noise from the street

I loved this place. It was very well located, easy to grab dinner, breakfast, shop, etc. from here. I stayed in the wellness suite and took full advantage of the calm, relaxing and large room. The happy hour was great and the staff were helpful. I got a late check out (1pm!) and had a great time.

It was a wonderful place that I would totally choose again when in the area. Just fyi if noise is something you cannot handle then you might have to reconsider staying in the downtown area. It can get loud at night but we were able to overcome that. Everything else was great.

would have been nice to know the St Patrick's Day Parade was happening on the day of check in. We tried to do early arrival, but spent literally 3 hours in snarled downtown traffic and road closures for the parade. If we had known, we could have taken a differnt route or the subway.

The pillows. It would be nice to have medium forms and down alternatives. The parking cost. I chose to park at the Whitehouse Garage for much less and tax was included in their rate. You should have large bottles of toiletries vs the small ones. It should help reduce waste.

Hotel is at an excellent location, safe and clean. Walkable to BART. Lots of places to eat close by and a coffee shop right outside. Really clean rooms. The garden terrace on the 3rd floor is a quite and peaceful place in the middle of downtown.

Very close to China Town, Montgomery BART station and 20 min walk to Coit tower. You could hoof it or easy Uber to Pier 39. While the property is clearly an old historic building it was decently modernized and clean. Staff were super nice. Bed was comfortable, bathroom super small, but not unexpected in a 100 year old building like this. You can imagine what it looked like when it was built. Lots of bars, coffee shop and restaurants nearby. Half the price of Marriott and definitely worth it. Other guests we ran into were very nice. No sketch that i could detect.

Very nice modern decor and furnishings. Fantastic staff. Main issue is the street noise and the very poor window fittings that allow noise to come through. Sleeping through the night was difficult. Very nice modern decor and furnishings. Fantastic staff. Main issue is the street noise and the very poor window fittings that allow noise to come through. Sleeping through the night was difficult. My wife, 2 small children and I visit our extended family in San Francisco every Christmas. We have done Airbnb and the Westin St Francis, and Galleria Park is by far our favorite. This was our fourth stay in the king suite, which is our favorite accommodation anywhere we have traveled as a family. The staff are wonderful, especially Lupita and Alexis. The property is gorgeous and quiet even though it is right in the heart of Downtown San Francisco. It is a 2 minute walk to Union Square and Chinatown, and a lovely trolley ride to the Ferry Building, Embarcadero, and Fisherman’s Wharf. Outstanding value for the money.

The room was clean and the hotel was in a good location. There was an amenities fee, and we did have to ask for some of the amenities because they had not actually given them to us. Some front desk staff were extremely friendly, whereas others seemed irritated by questions.

The hotel room was very nice. The outside view not so great. But this was due to the area configuration.

I wasn't able to take advantage of the cocktail hour but the complimentart coffee was genuinely a good cup of coffee.

A gem near union square. Such a lovely hotel from decor to service. Great price for San Francisco. Out of towners might be worried about rumor of homeless people - it’s really not an issue as you might see a few but they keep to themselves.

Small rooms, nice staff but no upgrades offered such as a bottle of wine or bigger rooms. Would stay again because it’s close to the business offices I need to e at today. I walked from the Bart station at10:30pm at night and there were a few homeless people sleeping on the streets which was uncomfortable as a single woman. So my advice would be to get an uber even if it’s close by at night. Other than those things it’s been a fine experience and like I said the staff doorman and front desk were very friendly and attentive.

The hotel property felt like a very well maintained boutique hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly, the wine reception in the afternoon was sweet and a nice touch, we sat next to the cozy fireplace in the lobby and enjoyed a glass a wine before we left for our evening event

This hotel is incredibly well located for events both in the financial district and Moscone center. Lobby is lovely, the guest rooms are small, but very clean and comfortable. The best part by far was the staff. They went out of their way to help me throughout my stay with longer-term parking, managing a giant bucket of flowers, coordinating luggage storage and retrieval, and other requests. A+ and thank you!

Nice downtown hotel. Street facing rooms on the lower floors are, predictably, a bit noisy. The 3rd floor outdoor terrace is a nice spot to sit for a bit. Staff was very helpful with suggestions on places to walk and for breakfast options.

The bathroom in my room was super small. Shower pressure was very low. To fill your water bottle, you would have to go to different floors. Some had hot water and some had cold. The room was always clean and the staff was super friendly and helpful. My room you could hear the traffic and noises all night long. In the early mornings there was always someone outside screaming on the top of their lungs.

Everything was great at the Galleria. Staff was kind and helpful. The ONLY complaint I have is how much noise from the outside goes into the room. It was hard to sleep. Trash trucks seem to go around the block at all hours of the night. You can easily hear cars, busses and people talking from the street and this was with all the windows closed on the 5th floor. Besides that, the hotel is a nice, clean, friendly space.

I would definitely keep them in mind again for future travels and for sure recommend them to others.

Everything about this hotel exceeded my husband's and my expectations! From the moment you walk in, to the complimentary beverage, to the thoughtful decor, the 24/7 snack and coffee station, to the comfortable beds and beautiful bedroom, to the delicious warm breakfast, this hotel was absolute perfection. We hope to stay again someday if we are ever in the area!!

Comfy retro vibe. Prime location. 1 block from Dragon Gate to Chinatown. My 7 year old and I went to a Giants game. Oracle park is walking distance. Took us about 30 minutes. Great staff. Very international clientele.

The hotel was great! The rooms were well kept even though it’s an older hotel. Very historic cozy feeling. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I feel like it was a great location to Union square and a short walk to Ferry building. Overall would definitely recommend this hotel over the well known mainstream hotels nearby.

Great staff and accomodations!

The hotel looks very clean, the rooms are tidy and the interior doesn't look old at all. The personnel in the reception is charming and very helpful when we asked for directions and quick solvers when we had an issue with the smoke detector in the middle of the night. Being a central area has is drawbacks as not having the feeling of being in a safe area, but that's also true for all the hotels in the area. The roomnwe stayed (facing the exterior) was extremely noisy, we could hear the noise from the subway as well as the noisy coming from other heavy vehicles every night (I didn't check because itnwas very late at night, but it sounded something like garbage collection trucks)

The room smelled bad, I think there is something wrong with their pipes. Our room was also filthy and the floor hadn’t been cleaned. They also never brought us towels, we had to go track someone down. The smell and cleanliness were big downsides.

Room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the climate control worked well. Only issue was the outside of the windows were a bit dirty.

We had no hot water on arrival and first evening but this was repaired by the following morning but a free bottle of wine softened the blow!

The cons: They charge an additional Urban Amenity Fee of $35+ tax at check-in and you can hear the noise from the street.

The Galleria Park hotel offers the convenience of Union Square without being right on the square (slightly quieter streets, easy access to the financial district). The staff were lovely, my room was clean, and I appreciated the water refill station. It is downtown SF, so street noise at night can be variable.

This is a stylish and elegant hotel in a great location (close to Union Square shopping, China town, and Market St [for tram to Fisherman’s Wharf]). My room was contemporary in decor and very cozy. It also had suprizingly good lighting. The staff were friendly and helpful and even managed to let me check-in early

The location of the hotel is fantastic for going to union square, Yerba Buena area, the Moma and a Giants game! The staff are wonderful and even though we do not drink the complimentary bottle of wine was nice touch. The coffee in the room was very good quality and that is important to us. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower had excellent pressure. These are items we look for and the Galleria ticks all of the boxes!

The decor is beautiful and charming, and the rooms are very comfortable. Loved that they include water bottles that can be refilled on-site throughout the stay. The complimentary wine hour is just another example of all the attention to detail and for guests. The location was safe and super convenient to the BART, FiDi, and the Embarcadero. Overall ok, for the price and service ammenities the hotel felt sterile and lacking personality. Staff was friendly but wont stay here again with my family. Maybe great for business or pleasure but not ideal for families.

This is our 4th stay at the Galleria Park hotel. They are our go to hotel because of the location, it’s a safe area, the staff are incredible, it’s conveniently located to many different points of interest, and their cafe is wonderful. 10/10 experience for us.

I like boutique hotels and tend to stay away from the large buzzy hotels. I had a tiny bit of skepticism when I read all the reviews but ppl were right: very personal and personable attention; sipping hour was so nice and a beautiful way to end the day or start the evening. The room was clean and aesthetically nice and all the staff to a person was friendly and professional. The bistro next door was a delight as well. I will be back!

It was a historic building that was modernized. Teh staff was super friendly, and they even upgraded our room to a larger bed. They have a sipping hour, with free cocktails, for an hour in the evening. Will definitely come back.

Room was great, bathroom is tiny but very clean. The only downside was the south side of the building had (what we assumed to be garbage trucks) emptying dumpsters for a looong time in the middle of the night. Amazing place, will surely return and request a room on the other side of the building 😊

Lovely small hotel near Union Square with warm and attentive staff. A complementary 'sipping hour' with wines and martinis in the pretty lobby was a nice way to start our night. A Blue Bottle coffee shop is right next door and a nice French-themed bistro is on the other side. The rooms are equipped with a coffee-maker (also free in the lobby) and refillable water bottles. Easy valet parking. The only negative from our point of view is the low toilet. We would also encourage the hotel to switch from single-use toiletries to larger refillable containers. We most certainly would stay again.
