Room clean, comfortable bed, good maintenance, we got safe & happy stay there for three nights

It’s got that 1930’s San Francisco charm. Centrally located, so much to do right there. I really liked it, I’ll stay there next time in town absolutely. Just spent 4 nights in SF

I enjoyed my stay! The staff was kind and pleasant. The rooms were nice and maintained well. Caution: this is an old building as most of SF is, the walls are not thick. It’s is a good area to get quickly from one side of town to the next. The neighborhood is what most of SF is, experiencing homelessness so be cautious in the evening. Great food spots in the area. Over all, we enjoyed our stay!

The front desk was helpful & very kind. I checked in at 2am and staff was not rude & had energy.
- 5/5
Was my first time staying at this hotel and it wasn’t too bad. Everything went well from check-in to check-out. I liked that I was able to check-out online, made it very easy and convenient. Room was nice and clean, even the restroom. No issues with the staff, everyone I talked to was nice and helpful. Only complaints would be about parking, there is no onsite parking so make sure to plan accordingly with one of the surrounding garages; my room was on the side where they have their sign so at night my room was lit up red, but thankfully they have nice blackout curtains so it wasn’t an issue going to sleep; and the hallway walls/doors are kind of thin so you can hear people’s conversations as you walk by
- 2/5
The Hotel was perfect. Which makes it even more frustrating. We had to check out the same day as arrived because there was absolutely no parking! I found an opening at a garage like 8 blocks away, but had to retrieve my car by midnight so we had to just leave. 2 nights paid and wasted!
- 4/5
Great staff and clean, well maintained room. Older property with visible paint deterioration and classical thin city walls (I could hear the person next door snoring). Otherwise perfect stay, nice updated bathroom and overall good value for the price.
- 4/5
Attention, travelers - room is not air conditioned! It worked for us - we believe in open windows and fresh air))… June’ air from the bay is cool and pure. Also, staff brought an extra fan, which was very helpful. But for some persons, it can be a big deal.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly. Keypad entrance for the front and room was convenient. The location was OK, but just a few blocks in either direction is pretty sketchy

Thanks for a great stay! Kudos to your lovely, kind and helpful staff. I loved the free coffee dispenser, too!

The staff was stellar - they went beyond and above and accommodated every single request we had - they even helped me get my airpods back (i left them in the room). The rooms were clean and beautiful, beds comfy and I just like the clean style with SF views and sun in the room in the morning. Very cool vibe and complementary coffee. Big closet was a bonus, wifi worked well and bathroom was nice. We stayed in three different rooms (coming back and forth to SF during our travels), 9th floor 918 was def our favourite. At one point the neighbors were really loud and walls are not super thick but the staff immediately moved us to a different floor and did not even blink an eye.

The place was nice & clean, old building. My pin was screwed up few times but aside frm that everything is good.

Good room for just me and my husband!. Parking was kind of annoying since it was a couple blocks away. The surrounding city is dirty but for a couple days it was ok!.
- 5/5
This was perfect for a solo traveler for a short weekend. The staff was super friendly, and the check-in was smooth. You don't get a physical key card, but a pin emailed to you to enter at your door. There are two elevators, but one is hidden behind a door. I was worried noise would be a concern, but all I heard was the normal street noise throughout the night and early mornings.
- 4.5/5
Connecting door to another room, could hear the occupants just as if they were sitting in our room.

I am a victim of fire displacement in SF after our building was arsoned on 5/22/26. The first night after the displacement it was very hard to find a hotel stay due to the Memorial Day weekend and the fact all hotels in the city were fully booked. I found this hotel. I told them upfront I was a victim of fire displacement. They asked for a $300 deposit which is highly unusual for a 2-star quality hotel. Room very basic, no amenities, cold personnel except for 1 very nice black girl at the front desk. I checked out early sleeping there only 1 night out of 4, and checked into a different (great) hotel in the city. When I called Expedia to get my refund for the 3 nights I didn’t spend at the first hotel, they said the property manager stated to them I had decided to stay at their hotel. I immediately went to the Carlton, called SFPD Dispatch and asked them to send 2 police officers to go in with me and go to the front desk about their robbery attempt. The lady at the front desk kept asking me which nights I slept there many times, while in the phone with her manager. I kept telling her it’s not that difficult, 4 nights minus 1 = equals 3 nights I didn’t spend they had to refund me. Her manager over the phone tried to say I stayed 2 nights. I showed them photos I took when I checked out with date & timestamp. They tried to embezzle $372. The police left, I got my refund. Will never ever ever set foot into their hotel again, it’s a MONEY GRABBING TRAP. Manager repeatedly LIED.

Great hotel at a very reasonable price. Very clean room and very centralized amongst the town. Within walking distance to a lot of places like Union Square, Chinatown, Little Italy and if you're brave enough to Fisherman's Dwarf. Great hotel location.

Staff was super friendly and the decor was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable. This is an old building so there’s no real ventilation which was not the best. The other issue I had was parking, but there is a garage that’s 24 hours if you need less then 2 blocks away.

Really helpful and kind staff- the room was clean and well maintained. Only stayed a night but was able to request a late checkout since I arrived pretty late. The elevators were a bit weird as they had 2 doors (sliding and a swinging door) so if you have a wheelchair or mobility device they might not be the most friendly but I also didn’t ask/check if there were any other options (besides the stairs). The room itself was nice and had a some unexpected amenities like a hair dryer, clothing iron and ironing board which was a pleasant surprise. I got the room almost directly over the lobby so I was able to hear the street but not enough to bother me. Overall I had a really pleasant stay and would book again.
- 5/5
Room had no AC but there was a ceiling fan which was perfectly fine for me. Because it being an older hotel the walls are thin and you can hear the guests next to you pretty clearly. If you’re looking for bougie this is not the place, it’s smaller, older feels and design. The hotel is up-kept well in my opinion. I wouldn’t mind staying here again. Given that it’s in SF parking was of course the issue. I did find a parking garage that was a decent overnight rate of $35 and a 3min walk from the hotel! If you’re going here and have a car park at the 80 Hemlock parking garage!

It was $132 on a Thursday in May.

Older building, decent room, albeit a bit loud from both the street and the other rooms. Walls are pretty thin, so you can hear the tv, phone calls, etc. from the next room, as well as the elevators if you're nearby. Staff are very nice, helpful, and checking in is pretty seamless.

I HAVE LIVED IN SAN FRAN SINCE THE 90'S. THIS PLACE USED TO BE A SRO HOTEL NOW THEY PUT IN SOME NEW FINISHINGS AND REDID THE ROOMS ...BUT THATS IT . THE CARPET STILL HAS DEAD ROACHES UNDERNEITH, ATH YOU CAN TELL BECAUSE THEY CRUNCH WHEN YOU WALK . WAS PICKPOCKETED IN THE LOBBY , FILED A POLICE REPORT AND THE HOTEL DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO HELP. . AT THE DIRECTION OF THE GENERAL MANAGER WHO IS ABOUT AS CUSTOMER FRIENDLY AS THE OLD DMV EMPLOYEES USED TO BE . STAY AWAY FROM HERE....FYI, I TRAVEL FOR A LIVING AND THIS IS THE FIRST BAD REVIEW I HAVE EVER GIVEN

The hotel was very nice and clean and in a very good location. It’s a minimal, boutique Hotel. So there are no amenities, no restaurant on property, and no parking. But for the price, you can’t find a better hotel in this location.

The main issues I had heard about prior to staying were about the homelessness outside and the super thin walls. First of all, I was glad to see that my girlfriend and I had zero issues with safety inside or outside the hotel. There were essentially zero homeless people outside our hotel during our two-night stay. However, the walls in the hotel are indeed quite thin. We got very lucky to get a room completely in the corner, so I don't believe we had neighbors directly next to us, but I could still hear doors closing, beeping, or people talking several feet away, leaving me questioning whether people could hear us even from inside the room. The noise didn't impact my sleep, although the bed was a bit stiff and had me waking up early each day. The blankets are also pretty thin, but it wasn't too cold when I went. There is no room service until I believe the third day, which personally wasn't a big deal for me, but is worth knowing. The shower is nice and warm, and a TV is provided. Overall, if you want a super comfortable room with complete privacy, I would consider other options. But if you want a basic place to stay with great value, this is not a bad option.
- 3/5
I actually appreciated most of the staff except for the so-called manager. I requested for my room to be cleaned. He acknowledged it, but failed to put it in the system. As part of management, you should be a role model to your staff that works under you. I was told when I checked in that I could request for room cleanup.
- 5/5
Our male check in host was friendly and went out of his way to answer questions and meet our requests. He was friendly and you could tell he loved his job. He really set a great tone for the feel of the property. The room was clean and we loved the natural light in our room. I appreciated the power strips with lots of plugs! We also appreciated the drink machine with hot chocolate in the morning. Not sure about parking because my husband parked the car. I have back issues so the bed was too soft for me but it was fine for my husband. The pillows were too stuffed and tall for my neck. That is the one thing I would suggest is maybe an option for a thinner pillow. We had a great stay!
- 4/5
Really nice room! Kind staff and felt super safe. The only thing to consider is no parking on the property, but if you're used to SF, that shouldn't be an issue! There are a bunch of overnight parking garages within walking distance. Also, the walls were quite thin, so you can definitely hear into the next room over.

They put us in a room for people with disabilities. To even to open the door, I had to kneel down to key in the codes on the pin pad. Only after insisting several times they moved us to a regular room which was decent. We appreciate the coffee machine in the lobby but it was not working quite often. There were many homeless people and people who were on drugs in the area and we didn’t feel safe getting out before 8am or after 8pm. The streets in the area were very dirty and you have to watch out for faeces when you walk. The staff were nice and were doing their best to keep the hotel clean.

I will say there was an incident where one of the staff members was considerably rude to one of our friends traveling with us. Since we had multiple people we often had to split up and use the lobby bathroom. When they asked where it was, the person working the desk reacted very rudely and seemed so bothered to be asked for help. This was a surprise considering how great the rest of the staff was. I imagine this was an isolated incident given how kind the rest of the staff was throughout our stay but either way, her abrupt and negative attitude was very off putting. Regardless, definitely a good place to stay that’s accessible to a lot of the sites SF is known for!

The location was great. Rule of thumb, just be aware of your surroundings. Walkable to everywhere. Check-in was easy and staff very friendly and welcoming. Hotel room was keyless and uses a code. The room was perfect. I love the minimal look and it looks renovated. Clean and all amenities were basic. That’s all we need. Parking was two blocks away. About $45 overnight. We would stay here again. Very low key, no frills place. Well kept. Funny enough, only thing was the flushing of the toilet itself. Very loud and startling. The flush sound was beyond typical flush. You hear city sounds for sure but that doesn’t bother us.

Rooms weren't the cleanest, and soundproofing was pretty abysmal. However, it's decent if you're looking for a cheaper stay in San Francisco. I would avoid this area as a solo female traveler!
- 4/5
It was a decent hotel for the price. Room was above average. Bed was comfy. The area is a bit sketchy but it's not hotel's problem. During the day it's pretty good.
- 4/5
The place was very clean, and my room had a great view of downtown. The furniture is very modern. Coffee was available in the lobby. The TV is Roku, and mine didn't work due to no Internet connection. The drinking water provided on the ground floor was part of the ice machine down a dark hallway. It would have been much more appealing to have a water dispenser near the coffee in the lobby.
- 5/5
It is not in the best zone of San Francisco. I wouldn’t walk around the hotel area at night.
- 5/5
Very nice and accommodating staff!
- 2/5
Do your research before booking. Terrible location, no convenient parking, very old, run down building, nothing worked properly. TV didn’t work, shower tub was damaged and poorly repaired, moldy windows, old, loud heater that hissed and popped all night even when not in use, broken motion light in the closet kept going on and off all day and night, and you will hear people screaming outside all night. The room was decently clean and the bed was reasonably comfortable, and the saving grace is the staff, they were very kind. But I would not stay here again. The restaurant, Sofiya, across the street is really good.

Better than expected! Clean room, very friendly staff and even free coffee machine in the lobby!
- 5/5
Large, clean, quiet room on 8th floor. Comfortable bed. Spacious lobby area with lots of seating and a coffee machine with plenty of options. Outstanding staff, helped us with everything from holding the elevator door open for me when I was holding two cups of coffee to printing out documents sent to us at the last minute. There were restaurants, bars, a couple of small groceries and cafes on our block or within a 5 minute walk. The area is not as frightening as many reviews have made it out to be. For sure some sketchy people and sketchy smells but nothing out of the ordinary in a big city and not much different from what you’ll encounter in the much more upscale Union Square.
- 4/5
Downtown San Francisco... The whole city is a little rough. Not the Hotel's fault. FOUND was top notch for the area. Rooms were above average in terms of cleanliness and amenities, but not really any frills. It was what I was looking for and what I expected. I wouldn't second-guess staying here again.
- 3/5
The room was small and not that comfortable. Location was very average compared to the rest of the area. But the worst part was that the lobby actually caught on fire - fire department called, alarms going off, smoke in the hallways - and not one employee tried to help people with their bags or give anyone direction on where to go or what was going on. I ordered a beer that I was going to drink outside because the lobby was smoky and the bartender didn't even offer to comp the beer while the hotel was on fire. Won't be back.
- 4/5
It was a great stay! Everyone was so nice and helpful. Was my first time in California and I’m glad we had a nice place to stay! The only thing would be I thought there was going to be ac in the room and it got pretty hot.

- 3/5
The photos make the hotel look nicer than it is. It's a pretty worn-down building. The elevator malfunctions, there's many stains on the carpet in the hallway, and the doors are all heavy doors that lock automatically. So in the morning I heard over 15 people slamming their doors shut instead of gently closing their doors. The staff are very friendly.

Stayed here for 2 days while visiting the city, area isn’t the best. Lots of homeless and a bit scary to walk at night. Parking is extremely hard to find around area besides the over priced parking lots. Staff was very kind and helpful, was helped by a caucasian young lady with beautiful long hair and glasses (helped me zip up my top that I couldn’t reach). Overall a great hotel within San Francisco. I love that the hotel allowed us to store luggage before and after check-in and check-out. All the front desk staff were really kind and professional. My only complaint would be the rooms didn’t feel that they had a proper cleaning even though we received clean sheets and towels.

As a native California resident I knew what to expect in the surrounding area as for cleanliness, the hotel is near a great French bakery. Staff all were amazing and greeted any time we came in or left. There isn’t available parking from the hotel but there is plenty of parking garages near by, now be prepared it will cost a bit. The room was spacious and clean. The streaming services has it where you can enter your own information and it will know when you are leaving so it will automatically log you out. Overall pleasantly surprised and had a great stay

Water/tea /ice all available only downstairs .So buy drinks and snacks for the room to avoid going down all night There are no physical room keys . Keys and codes are available on through phone link . The doors lock at 10pm . So make sure you leave the room with a charged phone or you are not getting in . Well staff is avail 24/7 but still. Walking down hill at night is a walk straight into the Tenderloin the sf version of Skid Row BUT its generally safe to wander . Generally . The walls are thin guys . You can hear your neighbors on phone calls or entering but its not completely bothersome . Youre a tourist go outside, youll be fine . Gave me back my deposit the same day . Thank you found hotel for a great experience . I will be back ! Lastly, you can park on the street over night . They dont charge the meters from 6pm-9pm unless stated pay attention to the signs . Our car didnt get broken in .

They didn’t offer cleaning services for my two day stay. No towel changes. No bed made. Housekeeping is “every other day” and our room became a mess without daily housekeeping. We had to keep asking for additional towels and they piled up. Also noise was a concern. Easily can be heard and can hear other people in the corridor. Staff was helpful and the security was good.

This property is pretty dumpy. It’s fine but nothing to write home about. I don’t think the website conveys the reality of what you are getting. If you are traveling and looking for no frills, this is one step above a hostel.

The location is central, although you must know Found Hotel Carlton is on the edge of the tenderloin, so the homeless and local business conditions reflect that. Also yes, the walls are thin but it didn’t bother me. There are 9 floors, so I recommend requesting an end room on floor 6+. All in all, I highly recommend Found Hotel Carlton.

I’ve been trying to find a less expensive hotel in SF that’s good - my go-to has gotten expensive and automated everything which is annoying. My room here was great. Clean well-functioning bathroom large closet comfortable bed and city view. You should know you will be next to the Tenderloin in which you would see raw examples of our failures as a society. My experience is it’s not dangerous just dirty and sad. You can avoid 95% of that if you walk the right streets and use ride shares. Personally I don’t mind it but when I travel with my wife I spring for the expensive hotel. That and the non-refundable nature of this hotel are the only downsides. Overall I liked the hotel and am likely to return.

All the staff members were very nice and helpful. However, the smell in the room was unpleasant, and the water from the machine also had an off smell. The location felt a bit out of the way, and the nearby street didn’t feel very safe.

The room was clean and up to date considering how old the building is. Difficult to find parking if you check in late, unless you pay to park in an overnight garage. Towels are not the softest but they were adequate. For the price that I paid on Expedia it was worth it. I would stay here again.

Very disappointed. The hotel asked, prior to my stay, if I had any requests. One that was offered was a room that was quiet (away from the street, etc.) and I asked for a quiet room..."quiet would be nice." The first morning I was awakened by several workers who were doing something in an adjacent room. They were extremely loud and this went on for several hours. I checked out that night...a day and a half early.

The bed was comfortable, sheets and linens were clean, overnight lobby security was a nice touch and the location is very convenient. Check in was inordinately long and I had to actually wake up the girl at the desk to checkout (yep - she was asleep at the desk). I would consider this an adequate place to stay just lower your expectations.

Horrible cleanliness, one of the bed frames was broken and we had to go buy an air mattress instead. One of the elevators is just a door and not safe at all, sadly to say, the actual elevator is the one that was broken and we ended up being stuck in for 20 minutes before fire department had to get us out, The manager said it was our fault and it was “deliberate”. Personally I’m not trying to harm myself on an elevator and no one else was. Horrible stay, rude manager, but kind staff. Would never recommend.

I felt very unsafe when walking in the vecinity of the hotel, countless homeless individuals doing drugs. No one told me that housekeeping would come only every other day, and even so they just came once in 5 days. No AC which made it unbearable, and the windows would open just a few inches. The noise caused by the unruly unhoused, coming from the street day and night was dreadful. I left one night earlier than expected to a better hotel.

There was at least one hiccup: when I arrived, I was told the hotel was heavily booked and I was moved to a wheelchair accessible room-- which would've been fine, except the automatic door to the room only worked very intermittently, and there was no other way to get inside. I got in once, then returned late that night and the door wouldn't open at all. They got maintenance to open the door with a key so I could get my stuff and moved me to a different room down the hall, but not great as far as the state of the place goes (good thing I didn't actually NEED a wheelchair accessible room!) The other thing is that there was a radiator in the room, but it was quite warm while I was there, and I tried to turn the radiator off entirely, but it seemed like it stayed on? And it was loud off and on all hours of the day & night. There was a ceiling fan, but that only does so much when it's hot in the room, and you could open the windows, but it's a loud part of town. So I'd recommend earplugs and/or white noise. Speaking of the part of town, it's on the edge of the Tenderloin, which if you're not from SF, just know that it's the sketchiest, dirtiest part of town. Pick your walking path carefully!

Rooms were clean and tidy, but the rooms don’t have much noise canceling. The staff was very friendly. There’s lots of food places nearby. Though the area doesn’t feel safe at night.

The hotel was perfect. Centrally located, great price, friendly staff. Unfortunately, they had a dishonest employee. My AirPods ended up in Daly City after my room was cleaned. Thankfully “Find my iPhone” app gave me the location and hotel management was able to retrieve my earbuds. The hotel manager apologized and they have been delivered back to me. Grateful for technology and being able to keep my belongings tracked.
- 2/5
Not a nice neighborhood, parking cost extra and is a 4 block walk
- 3/5
This hotel is near neighborhood restaurants and bars. The room is clean, however the bed is small for two people. There is no AC in the room. You have to leave the windows to cool down the room. The room service is not daily, only assigned days. When we were out, we wanted to get the trash out, new towels and to tidy room. When came back in the evening, the room wasn’t clean. We placed the trash bags and towels outside the door. Waited until housekeeping was ready to pick it up. Lastly, the hotel is in an urban area. Therefore, there are the noise, the smell, and un-housed people everywhere.
- 4/5
Shops and parking nearby, but no fast food. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Isabella.
- 4/5
It was a good location, the rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. The music in the lobby was a perfect vibe every time. I couldn't figure out the AC/heat in the room or it was stuck on heat. It wasn't too hot constantly, but it was easier to keep the windows open than to mess with it. The breeze actually made the stay nicer though. It made the room feel very fresh.

Overall, I had a good experience staying here overnight with my family. Although the building is a bit dated, the furniture and room / bathroom is clean and I couldn't complain about cleanliness at all. Check-in and out is very straightforward and I really appreciate that the hold is $75 vs. the hundreds some hotels require. The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars is that there is no A/C in the room, and it got warm, even in February. I probably wouldn't stay here in the summer.
- 3/5
Great staff, area unsafe I felt like. Coffee machine makes good coffee.
- 2/5
Stains all over the rug in the hotel room… The bathroom was not somewhere. You really wanted to take a shower either and needs re-caulking and a facelift. The lobby always smells like an old folks home. Overall, not a great stay.
- 5/5
The room was very clean the staff were very good the hotel is very good value for the money
- 5/5
Room was clean, bed was comfortable. There are no phones in the room, or A/C (they have ceiling fans). There is also no desk/chair in the rooms. I got a little creative and used the foot stool and TV stand.
- 3/5
The room was totally bare bones. No coffee maker; no microwave, not even a phone! Yes, no phones are in the rooms, and cell service was very spotty…a safety issue from my perspective. The hotel is ancient, but, clean. The bed was reasonable comfortable. Also, no parking, but there is a delightful restaurant next door “Dacha”, with Russian/Eastern European influences. Despite the restaurant, for me personally, this hotel was a miss.
- 4/5
Location is great, a lot of places to hang out are close and awesome transportation options are available.
- 4/5
Please be aware that this hotel has no parking so if you have a car you're going to need to pay for a parking garage nearby.
- 4/5
Yes clean room and staff very courteous.
- 2/5
The room was hot and we were told the heat could not be turned off. The bathroom wasn’t well kept, the noise level was outrageous, and the elevators hardly worked. We walked six flights of stairs more than once because of it.
- 3/5
room was very nice and clean. i loved the hotel lobby as well. my cons were the parking being very limited and the THIN WALLS!!! i heard people next door having intercourse and could hear the entire movement and conversation they were having (this happened at 4am btw) TWO DIFFERENT TIMES! not the couples fault because it’s normal, but the hotel needs some better sound proof walls you could hear everything even from the hallway to your room. i was traumatized
- 5/5
Pleasant room, comfortable lobby, convenient location

A first rate place to stay with old San Francisco charm. Superior to the cookie-cutter places like the Hiltons.
- 4/5
Room was nice and quiet, comfortable bed, great coffee machine downstairs.
- 5/5
Loved my stay here! The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Also loved this fact I was able to store my luggage all day which was perfect to explore the city without carrying my luggage around. Thank you once again! :)
- 5/5
The place was great! Cheap and does the job, staff is awesome and close to a lot of coffee and food places. Dispensary down the street and plenty of bus stops if you wanna get a feel for the city in that way. Need a work out? Use the stairs. Elevators are funky but in a good way. Def worthy the price

There was a pretty loud water heater in the room that I could not seem to turn off and it made it hard to sleep.

- 5/5
Room was great we had an amazing view of the city. The staff seemed cool and polite very welcoming.
- 4/5
Staff was courteous, clean lobby, clean room
- 4/5
The room and its amenities were fine overall. I most appreciated how clean, quiet, bright, and airy it was. The bathroom was rather cramped but adequate. I did greatly appreciate the big walk-in closet and provided luggage rack. The hotel location is excellent, being very close to some marvelous cafés and restaurants and within walking distance of the top of Nob Hill, Union Square, and Polk Street. I felt very safe at all hours in the entire area.
- 1/5
I didn’t get a chance to touch the bed before I was ejected. I guess something accrued while I was at work and got ejected out the room. By the time I got off work everything was in the lobby and the staff wouldn’t even talk to me. No explanation, no nothing, no refund, no deposit back. They was just rude to me. They wouldn’t let me talk. I feel disrespected
- 3/5
Coffee machine only amenity.

Really nice stay for the cost. Here for 4 days and glad i booked it here! Its an older building but all the aminities are new-I love SF!
- 4/5
The staff was super helpful and made the process so easy. For a cheap rate the hotel was wonderful. Highly recommend
- 5/5
Room was wonderful, large and clean. Drawback was very loud cleaning crew starting at 8am.
- 2/5
First night could not sleep b/c of fridge noise. There are no chairs or tables in the room. There was a safe but the door was missing!
- 5/5
Nice place. The thing I liked the most was the never-ending coffee machine in the lobby. Free coffee anytime. Room was fine too.
- 5/5
Great Hotel! They let me check in early when I arrived, and were very accommodating with my request for an upper floor, and the views were great. The rooms were well appropriated, and very clean. Coffee in the morning, and great bakery adown the street. I think this is my new go-to hotel.
- 4/5
The staff is adorable and sweet, the room was clean, bed very comfy, 4 excellent pillows, refrigerator was a great plus :) The only negative is that the building is old and it shows, the bathrooms could use some updating/paint. The room could use an informational handout about the TV volume is on the side of the remote, light in closet is motion sensor otherwise I slept well, felt safe as a single female. Will choose this hotel again :)
- 4/5
Good
- 4/5
The room was clean and relatively spacious. However, the lack of housekeeping despite making a request was upsetting. I wish I could give it a 3.5/5.
- 5/5
Excellent location and very nice staff. Have stayed here before would stay again. Just one word of caution if you’re a light sleeper the walls between rooms are thin, we had the misfortune of staying next door to the loudest most obnoxious person I’ve ever encountered. She talked loudly at 5am and wouldn’t shut up til 12am. Like a parrot that likes the sound of its own voice. Other than needing to bring headphones to sleep you’re good to stay here.
- 2/5
There was no AC andntye bed was a double, not Queen. The rug had stains on it resembling blood. The neigborhood is very sketchy with hookers on the corner and human feces on the ground. This is a very low budget hotel. The only reason it's not a 1 star is because the bathroom was clean, and the bed seemed to be, although I dodnt want to look too closely.
- 5/5
Super nice staff and accommodating. Room was beautiful and still affordable! I loved all of the amenities included.
- 3/5
The hotel itself is ok, clean, budget friendly. The front desk young lady wasn’t really pleasant, no smiles or welcoming manner at both check in and out.
- 5/5
The hotel is old but it's clean and not at all run-down. Staff was helpful. I liked the coffee maker in the lobby, available 24 hours a day. I arrived in mid-morning, way before a room was available and they stowed my bag until check-in. And on the way out, I was able to check my bag until the early evening. It was done cheerfully and professionally. Well worth the money.

Great value in a hotel. While quite old, everything was maintained, room was clean, desk staff (really the only staff I saw) was friendly and courteous.
- 5/5
Great experience
- 5/5
Room was nice, bed was extremely comfortable. Only a fridge in room but a microwave and coffee machine was in the lobby which was convenient. Only downside was the parking situation. Ended up finding a garage a couple blocks away for $30 overnight.
- 5/5
No frills, but lovely clean spacious room with everything I needed at a bargain price.
- 5/5
Thanks for everything
- 3/5
Staff excellent, room clean, great shower and deep tub! Windows keep street noise out which is amazing :)
- 4/5
The room was small, but cute and clean. The bed was a little hard, but nothing crazy. I loved that there was a bath tub in the bathroom. My only real complaint was it was very hot in our room, even with the windows open all night. The staff was friendly and helpful
- 4/5
Yes
- 3/5
Room was hot no AC, staff was not knowledgeable, informative or helpful
- 5/5
Love staying at Hotel Carlton - clean modern rooms, great service!
- 5/5
The room was clean. Water was hot . Staff was polite and respectful and went out of their way to help
- 5/5
Room was very clean, front desk Robby was great and helpful. Close to public transportation stops.
- 5/5
Easy checkin and check out. Clean rooms. Great view.
- 4/5
Clean room, decent location and very friendly staff.
- 5/5
Room was clean. Bed comfy.
- 5/5
Room was nice updated and I overall had a nice stay. Only thing I would say they could do better is on my last day at the hotel the cleaning staff was being loud in the hall ways talking and singing at 8am while guests were sleeping.
- 5/5
Interestingly, my room does not have a table or a desk. The pillows are very soft and comfortable. The location is good; there are restaurants right by the hotel place. The decorations style is very simple and calming.
- 4/5
Great Staff , great location, great value for the price, but the typical amenities that you will see at regular hotels were lacking and the place seems outdated despite obvious renovations...
- 4/5
Staff was pleasant and helpful.
- 4/5
Good location , clean
- 4/5
Bed and pillows are comfortable
- 5/5
Great staff, clean room
- 1/5
Quite antiquated hotel that felt more like a Ricky dinky motel! No phones in the room so if you need towels, body wash, or anything essential you must go down in the 30s elevator and visit the front desk. Service as far as directions fair at best as may of the desk employees were clueless as to what was offered or where restaurant, clubs, and other areas were. Never again!
- 4/5
Room was nice and staff was great. Neighborhood was a bit noisy even up on 8th floor but overall was nice stay
- 5/5
Everything was perfect!
- 4/5
Cute and perfect for a night or 2
- 4/5
Good
- 5/5
The staff was excellent! The room was clean. It was walking distance to both of the venues I was seeing shows at and close to some great food. This will definitely be where I land on future SF trips.
- 5/5
It great
- 5/5
The hotel staff made me feel so welcomed, and the room was very cozy. I can’t wait to book my next stay.
- 5/5
Second time staying here. Very nice hotel
- 5/5
Coffee bar available 24/7
- 4/5
The room was very clean. The beds were actually amazingly comfortable. The streaming tv was nice. The coffee in the lobby was a great treat. The elevators take forever though so plan to take the stairs.
- 5/5
Fun in th aun
- 1/5
Room was never made up
- 5/5
It was a nice place, clean, rooms were a good size, staff was really nice. Great little place to stay when you’re in downtown SF for a week or weekend.
- 5/5
Every is great !!
- 5/5
Be cautious on the neighboring area, on Sutter and Hyde: i think it’s a halfway house. There were fecal matters and sleeping person on the sidewalk as we were walking towards hotel…
- 3/5
not so good
- 5/5
The room is average in size and clean . The location is close to everything . Staff is courteous . There is a free coffee machine that I really enjoyed . For the money I paid , I am very pleased with the hotel . I will definitely recommend this place to family and friends .
- 3/5
This is my first time getting into a hotel stay with "every other day room service". Room service did not come on Day 2 and Day 3. I had to bring it to the attention of staff that I need room service and towels. There is no water in the room. Very very minimalistic room design and very few amenities. Not worth the price and would not like to get this hotel again for SF stays.
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Shady area but ok
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable with friendly staff.
- 5/5
Clean room, courteous staff. Nice lobby
- 5/5
Checked in quickly with friendly staff. Access was simple and code based. Room was clean and functional. Location central.
- 3/5
Staff was great, generally clean inside, but the building was old and in a pretty sketchy neighborhood.
- 5/5
For the price you can’t really complain, good location, good large rooms, and friendly reception
- 5/5
The room was efficient and aesthetically pleasing . Staff was so courteous and polite . Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Room was clean and spacious! Front desk was super helpful.
- 5/5
clean room, excellent staffs
- 3/5
We can hear the voices and sounds from next room , kinda disturbing our sleep.
- 1/5
Rooms were filthy, sheets were stained overall gross experience
- 5/5
Great price/value. Area isn’t the best but it’s safe as long as you don’t go 3-4 blocks in wrong direction.
- 1/5
Worst. Doesn't match with what they display. Also they dont have heater. Kinda dirty.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 2/5
The lobby smelt like an ashtray the entire stay. Our room had a sewer smell that seemed to be coming from the pipes and it got bad at night.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing. The room was clean if I had to say anything bad about it.It was loud outside the hotel, but other than that, it was an awesome place to stay
- 5/5
The Found Carlton is a very convenient location and I always stay when in SF. It is not a luxury hotel, but that said it doesn't charge luxury hotel prices and its location, friendly and helpful staff, and room sizes are ideal for me as a solo traveler. I readily recommend it for romantic getaways, city visits of any sort or medical related stays as it is close to the CPMC community.
- 5/5
such clean rooms & wonderful staff they are very helpful felt so comfortable in my stay!
- 5/5
The room is clean. We were well welcomed and served by the reception staff even we came a bit earlier than scheduled check-in time.
- 5/5
Nice room
- 5/5
Great customer service, room was clean with a a lot of space, but the outside noise was to loud.
- 5/5
Clean room, comfortable beds and Netflix was a plus!
- 5/5
Staff are considerate, friendly, knowledgeable to name a few. They and the hotel make my stay comfortable and I feel safe.
- 5/5
The room was very comfortable and the staff kind and attentive.
- 4/5
Staff was nice. Seems you can’t watch TV without a Roku account but no big deal. Good thing our neighbors were quiet because you can hear everything if they’re noisy. Don’t get a room with an adjoining door because you’ll hear what’s going on in there but like I said, thankfully our neighbor was quiet.
- 5/5
Whenever I come to the city I stay a couple of days at this hotel. I recommend it 100%. Thank you.
- 4/5
Room was clean. I bit noisy
- 4/5
Nice staff, rooms and hotel interior proper felt safe, secure. The coffee machine in the lobby was convenient. Good area for restaurants, corner markets, one block from lively Polk area. Just north of the tenderloin so there is still some grit but not too much street hassle. No real view to speak of, sadly - and windows were very dirty. Pleasant room layout, overall. Wifi was laggy, bathtub surface was a little beat up. But room was clean, comfortable. Good value, would stay here again.
- 3/5
The walls are paper thin, people talking way down the hall sound like they're right outside your door. This was bad late at night and early in the morning. Didn't get much sleep.
- 5/5
Clean, spacious and well lit room, friendly staff, amazing deals for a place right in the middle of downtown.
- 3/5
The room was noisy and outdated
- 5/5
Excellent location, excellence staff
- 5/5
Very good
- 5/5
It was a great experience
- 5/5
Clean and quiet
- 5/5
Good restaurants nearby. I wish the rooms had tea kettles or another way to boil water
- 1/5
When I spoke to staff (gentleman in reception) downstairs saying my room hasn’t been cleaned for 4 days at that point, I was told: ‘We have a lot of check ins, so not going to happen’. The carelessness for the amount they charge was insane. I would definitely not recommend this place. I checked out after this and went to stay at another hotel. When I asked for at least the leftover days refund, I was told that I’ve rejected their service. There was no service to reject, just very bad experience.
- 4/5
The bathroom had Moho in the shower
- 5/5
No thills, but good value for the price
- 1/5
There was no heat or AC in the building. It's late November in San Francisco and they've yet to turn on the boiler in the hotel so that the radiators can heat the rooms. They're is no exhaust vent in the bathroom to remove the moisture from taking a hot shower. There was mold all over the bathroom and in the bedroom. Itook a shower at night and there was still condensation in the bathroom by morning. I asked the front desk for a heater and all they did was bring me an extra blanket. I had to heat my room using the blow dryer. It was 53⁰ F and 84% humidity outside at night. By morning my room was 60⁰ F and everything was damp. ALL of my clothes were damp, I had to iron the dampness out of my clothes before putting them on. When I talked to the hotel staff about the lack of heat they said that the heat has not come on yet this year. So fire the entire year, the entire hotel has not had any dehumidification the entire year. All of the showers plus the humidity from outside just accumulates in every fiber in the hotel and never dries out. There was even mold in a decorative box on the dresser.
- 4/5
Nice rooms
- 3/5
O amenities
- 5/5
great stay for the price
- 3/5
Was woken up two nights in a row by outside street noise
- 3/5
Once it was time to settle in for the night, we pulled back the sheets and noticed the fitted sheet in the new room was slightly ripped. When I went to take a shower, the shower curtain had stains on it, possibly hair dye (I hope). The room was also a handicap-accessible room, so the shower was just open tile with a curtain separating it from the toilet and sink. Because of this setup, water would pool and spread across the bathroom floor and wouldn’t dry, so we ended up using hand towels and even napkins to dry it up. Overall, the staff was genuinely kind and very helpful, and they tried their best to make things right. However, the cleanliness and condition of both rooms were disappointing. The location also isn’t the best (not hotel managements fault), especially if you plan on walking anywhere for food after sunset.
- 5/5
FOUND hotel was great. The customer service was fantastic; they upgraded my room for no reason. Just because they had a better room available for me. The rooms were clean, and the location is great.
- 5/5
Just needed a night away from the house
- 5/5
Its San Francisco may look sketchy but its really nice hotel
- 5/5
Clean and quiet
- 5/5
Clean room. Convenient utilities like water fountain, fridge, microwave, and espresso machine.
- 4/5
The staff was welcoming and quick in their service. If I was looking for a budget option, I would stay here again.
- 3/5
The hotel is in need of an upgrade (fresh paint, better elevators and lobby decor and furniture). The sofas need to be replaced as they are dingy and flat. There is also a great deal of dog mess in front of the property and has been tracked on the steps which means that it is tracked into the lobby, DISGUSTING! It does have very comfortable beds and hot showers. The tv’s have Roku which makes it easy to watch. The location is cool too.
- 3/5
Housekeeping service is not available at night or in emergencies, and there’s no front desk intercom or breakfast provided. The only positive is that some good restaurants are located nearby. The hotel is at the edge of the Tenderloin area, so you’ll often see homeless people around. It’s okay during the day, but I’d advise being cautious after 8 PM.
- 5/5
A great room and staff! Thank you!
- 5/5
the room is perfect. Clean well organized...
- 5/5
Courteous staff, clean room, and comfortable bed.
- 4/5
Fist visiting for business trip. Good Affordable option. Also, clean room and nice staff
- 5/5
Great location and friendly staff.
- 4/5
Staff no fueron muy friendly y aveces no están en su puesto y tienes que esperar por varios minutos.
- 4/5
The rooms where quant and I we had a beautiful view of the city at night! The hotel was very nice!
- 4/5
Room was good and the staff was very nice
- 5/5
Room was awesome
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable room. Well-equipped amenities.
- 5/5
Really clean and well presented hotel. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Best value for money good quality hotel that I’ve found in the city. Would highly recommend
- 4/5
Such a gem! This boutique hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The staff was friendly, the room was even cuter than I anticipated, and the location was perfect — super central and convenient to all the major tourist spots. My only minor gripe is that the room would get humid after showers since there’s no bathroom fan, so our towels never fully dried. Other than that, everything was wonderful — I’d absolutely stay here again!
- 5/5
Everything was perfect and such a great location
- 5/5
Room was very clean. Stuff very friendly.
- 5/5
Helpful staff, easy check in, comfy bed, clean room
- 2/5
Not impressed with this hotel. It makes sense why I got it for so cheap. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable and there was homeless all around the outside of the property at night. All throughout the night something in the room kept flashing a bright light which made sleeping difficult. The elevators are the smallest I’ve ever seen. One of them said it fit up to 8 people but 3 average sized were squished in it.
- 4/5
Great location, spacious room, nice lobby, modern decor, great price, quick check in.
- 4/5
Comfortable bed. Clean hotel. No AC despite advertising they do.
- 5/5
Room was great, staff were amazing especially Anthony. And the proximity to all of what makes San Francisco a really cool city. This was a great spot!
- 4/5
The room was great and cozy, it was not luxury but for the price it was a great accommodation. It was clean and overlooked the city in a cool way. The staff was nice and helpful where needed.
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
The room was fine. Clean, well stocked, but no a/c and the windows only open 2" with no screens. Was very hot and stuffy. The lobby was filthy when we arrived. Coffee machine has coffee split on it, trash under coffee station, top of coffee station had dried up spills. Carpet could use a good cleaning. Front door glass covered in finger prints. Will not stay there again.
- 5/5
Liked coffee machine in lobby. Served its purpose with 1 night stay. Suggestion for check-in. When asking for personal info like email, pls ask guest to write down on paper & hand it to you. Also people do not need to know which floor I am staying on. Overall good stay.
- 3/5
No ac
- 5/5
Very nice condition of hotel for the price. Updated interior and very friendly staff.
- 4/5
My stay here was good. The room I stayed in was clean. The staff was friendly. I was greeted every time I entered the building. Hot drinks and a microwave in the lobby were a plus.
- 5/5
I like this hotel very much. Never met an employee who wasn't on the ball and trying. It's my go to SF hotel for awhile now. Only thing I would mention is the nightstands with sloped edges! Haha. Things fall off a lot.
- 2/5
The first room I was given was not cleaned in time; there were still towels on the floor and unmade bed etc. The cleaning staff is clearly understaffed. I had to ask for a different room, and when I made the front desk aware, he rolled his eyes and huffed. Not at me, at the situation. Poor communication between staff. The next afternoon, I asked for a fresh towel as I returned to my room. The front desk clerk assured me he would speak with housekeeping and it would be to my room “in 3 minutes”. The towels never showed up at all. I made do, but very annoying. I tried ironing my dress in my room, but the iron had mineral or dirt build up in the water tank, and left stains on my dress. Horrifying, as I was heading to a wedding. I blotted the stains out best I could. Additionally, each time I took a shower, the tub filled with water; it was clogged due to poor maintenance. Overall, the property is poorly cared for, and you can see the thousands of tiny ways that ownership cut corners to save money. The staff are poorly trained, and young/inexperienced. This is NOT blaming any staff, because despite the poor training, they were all unfailingly polite and kind. Just terrible management practices
- 5/5
Amazing room great for exploring
- 5/5
Nice hotel, friendly staff. The area around wasn’t the best and parking was a block and a half away, and cost $45 for overnight parking. Other than that, the facilities were really nice.
- 5/5
Nice building and good walking distance to most things
- 1/5
Pretty disappointing experience. I travel a lot and never had an issue with any hotel until this one. Can’t speak for other aspects of life here, but front desk service was really unfriendly and antagonistic from the start. I never encountered front desk staff that was this committed to starting and continuing a fight. Tried to de-escalate several times to just get the check-in process completed but she wouldn’t let it go. Started to call me “belligerent” because I wasn’t OK with her attitude and for asking questions. Like why a prepaid 2 night reservation for $230 required a $200 deposit. Not surprisingly this fee is not disclosed anywhere. I had to ask to make sure I heard correctly. Again, I travel frequently and this ratio of deposit to reservation amount is exorbitant even for major cities. The woman kept saying “if you steal something or break something” like it’s assumed that I would. Best part is from the beginning she kept threatening to cancel the reservation like that would be a bad thing in a city with hundreds of hotels and Air B&Bs. Seriously? Gladly took my business elsewhere. I ended up walking over to a great hotel couple blocks from the Union Square where everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Totally different vibe. No deposits, no drama. Generally, I like boutique hotels and prefer to give business to them when I can, but this experience reminded me why a healthy corporate culture is a plus.
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
Really great location and a surprisingly spacious room, we were really pleased with our stay and would definitely return.
- 4/5

- 4/5
good price and location
- 1/5
Terrible sound transmission. Neighboring room woke us up twice during the night with loud music and voices. The second time was at 2 am. Not looking to have this published, but share our disappointing experience trying to spend a good night’s sleep.
- 5/5
Beautiful venue, friendly staff, well maintained rooms. Great experience!
- 5/5
Overall I liked it
- 4/5
For the price it was decent. Staff was awesome and helpful.
- 5/5
Great staff!
- 4/5
Since we only slept in the hotel, it was fine for us.
- 4/5
We have a wheelchair and got a somewhat accessible room on the main floor. Bathroom was marvelous, enough room for the chair to turn around. The long hallway with very difficult turnaround in bedroom was difficult. The wheelchair entrance was locked at 10 pm so don't try that solo. Interesting couple of blocks on edge of Tenderloin and Knob hill districts. We will probably stay again.
- 4/5
For someone who has never been to SF, this was not a bad choice of hotel or location IMO. We casually walked about 30 minutes to hit the Wharf; jumping on a downhill cable car for the last few blocks truly kicking off the SF feel for our trip. The car ended right at Jefferson for Irish coffees at The Buena Vista - dont skip out. After, we went to Musee Mechanique and walked to a few piers. Had cocktails at Boudin for a "less authentic break" ;) with clean restrooms. And then walked all the way to China town from the Wharf. Had a late lunch at Mission Chinese - Dont skip that either! We took an $8 Uber from Mission district back to our room where we then walked to the Tonga Room in the Fairmount hotel. $15 cover if you sit, but walk ins welcome and its a floating bar! Emmy's spaghetti is also down in the Mission district - DONT SKIP OUT lol. Point being - each time we returned home, it was quiet, clean and safe. no crime, low homeless rate around. and the staff was knowledgeable where to venture and where to steer away from. We walked almost everywhere tho. Rented Lyft e-bikes for $34 for 2 hours and rode over 20 miles, across the bridge into Sausalito, and all the back to the Wharf for lunch again Sunday. Carlton waiting at the end of each venture out. Room 505 was perfect size, bathroom had good pressure. nice air flow. no smells. fridge in room. cant complain except our door got stuck a few times ;) they have automatic doors so that was stressful but worked fine.
- 5/5
Place is amazing
- 4/5
Rooms clean, beds comfortable, bathroom with shower over bath, excellent shower, shame about mould on window Unfortunately we had a connectiing room, every sound could be heard, i asked to be moved but no other rooms were available, the receptionist said she'd have a word with the occupants but it was the quality of the separating doir that was the issue !! Only 1 out of 2 lifts working most of the time, we were on 8th floor so essential All said for the price we paid $91 per room per night i would stay again, just insist on a non connecting room
- 4/5
Yes.
- 5/5
This place is great. Location is perfect. Room is comfortable. Shower is strong. Checkin is on an app. All easy stuff.
- 5/5
This hotel is an outstanding value. Yes. It's on the edge of the Tenderloin, but rooms are huge, clean and modern. My room had a large walk-in closet and mini-fridge. The bed and linens were amazing and perfect. The staff was super friendly, helpful and fun. The only small downsize is it is noisy outside 24/7 and if you like your window open as I do, it can be pretty loud. But don't let that stop you, this place is great!
- 5/5
Great hotel, staff was nice and friendly and room was clean and comfortable. The area around the hotel not so nice but overall its fine.

Rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful. Also it’s in a great part of town.
- 4/5
Clean rooms and friendly staff.
- 5/5
It was nice and I would stay again
- 2/5
The water wasn’t hot. When we arrived (evening) the shared areas wasn’t clean at all. The elevators are old and dirty.
- 3/5
Room was small but fine. Cleanliness was a 3/5. Windows were very thin and I could hear everything (including unwell people screaming outside) throughout the night. Luggage rack was broken and there was no safe. Area was okay; you felt the remnants of the Tenderloin area when you stepped outside.
- 5/5
Very clean room, centrally located and a great value. Thanks!
- 5/5
Great hotel in a great location
- 5/5
Comfortable spacious rooms and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Great. Will stay again
- 4/5
The room, bed, bedding materials and bathroom were sparkling and comfortable. The room had a bed, table and chairs for working, good lighting, and spotless bathroom. This is the reason for my good rating on comfort. The lobby had old, ripped and dirty furniture and the carpet on the stairs was stained and really dirty. The hallway carpets were a bit better. In addition, a banquet ? room that was unsecured was used for people to store luggage, but anyone could walk in there and access anyone's luggage. The employ
- 4/5
Staff was great however the room although clean was a bit dated. Sink drained very slowly, large water stain in the tub and the area rug was threadbare.
- 5/5
Very friendly and helpful staff, plus cute and clean rooms. Would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Easy check in and check out and nice rooms
- 1/5
one of the women at the reception was right out rude multiple times, telling at me etc. terrible hotel
- 5/5
This hotel was great, the workers were super sweet the hotel itself was very clean and they were very quick to help with any of our needs!
- 3/5
Good Location l shops nearby l Poor customer service l Basic room with poor amenities l Arrogant staff.
- 3/5
Water cooler wasn’t working. Pretty much self service
- 3/5
Clean room but member off staff at check in was more interested in having a half hour argument with another guest shouting in the lobby whilst other guest are waiting to check in, staff called police on guest which was unnecessary and wasn’t a great start to the visit. Other than this staff members supported me with keeping my luggage on last day and the room was enjoyable and comfortable.
- 5/5
Lindas habitaciones, muy amable personal y bien ubicada
- 2/5
- the room we got was SO small literally bed in the middle of the room and there’s 2 doors right next to it, restroom and closet. 2 people could barely fit in the restroom and one had to get completely out in order for the other to get out… - NO A/C… idk how i could miss that important fact but i have never been to a hotel with no ac LOL maybe bc SF is cold so you can just open a window but not enough… very obvious why you can’t open it more but it was so hot we bought a little fan. -**** most importantly, i’m pretty sure the vents in the restroom has mold bc we couldn’t stop sneezing while showering… like i wanted to take a decent shower and just relax but it was soooo bad that i felt like i needed to rush out. so hopefully the property checks that cuz omg… - they didn’t give us new towels unless we asked and when we did, they took 1h… - we had to park on the side of the street a block down from the hotel and had to pay… we had to walk a while bc theres no designated area for that specific hotel parking… again this is my first time in SF so i didn’t know that wasn’t a thing everywhere 😔 - there’s signs to take everything out of your car bc of break ins everywhere so it was super inconvenient to walk back and forth since we were literally scared to leave anything in the rental bc duh we had a rental…
- 5/5
The property was nice, clean, I'm enjoyed my stay. There is no AC in the room but the weather was nice and cool so I didn't need it. The area behind the hotel is a little scratchy

No instructions anywhere.

Unique - water temperature did not go above like warm. Small rooms, refrigerator door didn't completely open because the bed was blocking it - unique right
- 4/5
Great hotel! Clean, great price for the quality. They collect a $75 security deposit they return to you once you check out. No parking with this hotel, it’s street parking or other parking garages (they recommended 840 Sutter St, less than 5 minute walk away from the hotel, charged $45 a night for overnight parking). Would stay again!
- 5/5
Nice place to stay in general, l found hidden garbage behind the bed from previous guests. I understand it was hard to see but it’s still a bad experience. Besides that it was all clean
