Great stay! The staff was very accommodating, the concierge was super helpful and our room was clean and comfortable. The location was excellent- walkable to Union Square and Downtown and a short drive to San Francisco attractions like Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf, etc. Would definitely stay again!

Staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. Hotel lobby and ambience are excellent and location too is good. They dont clean the room daily - however this is not a big issue as when you ask towels and amenities are replenished immediately.

This is a well-located property close to about everything in walking distance. The staff were pleasant and the amenities decent. I used the gym, which was very nice and well-maintained. I very much enjoyed the size of the room, which was huge, like an apartment. However, my room smelled funny, like musty food. It's nice to have a fridge, microwave, and essentially a small kitchen. There is some slight pressure from the staff to learn about membership. I would stay here again, but I do not see a reason to be a member.

Room was very good. Only problem is the toilet is very low and somewhat difficult for a senior to get up/down. They need grab bars for the toilet and in the shower.

Location was quite central High pressure to attend time share scheme talks when checking in. They were ringing our room early to attend.

The gym was good but could had a bit more variety The main issue is that it wasn’t actually a functioning kitchen. That was the main reason I booked it with a kitchenette as a suite.

The staff were all amazing. Everytime we entered the hotel they greeted us. We did attend a time share presentation because this is like a hotel time share property. The sales professionals were not pushy at all and we even received a small gift for out time. The room was nice and spacious with a separate bedroom from the living room/kitchen. There were two TVs in the studio which had streaming capabilities. The location....while it is conveniently located to public transit and many restaurants, it is adjacent to the Tenderloin. So some of the things we witnessed was people injecting drugs feet from the hotel, walking past a pile of human excrement, a homeless lady stole a car and was apprehended by law enforcement. Apparently, they had to put a spit/bite guard over her head because she was that aggressive! This was also just feet away from the hotel. There was a bus stop outside the hotel where drunk and doped up people would dwell. Hotel was secured and locked at all times, either someone would be there to let guest in or they could use the room key. Even with all of this, I would still stay at the hotel again.

The suite I rented was large and provided room to relax.

The staff were very helpful and very kind. They didn’t clean your room daily. And they didn’t explain to you that in order to pick up your garbage you have to let it outside your room. So we had to ask for it on the lobby, and they sent a person to pick up the garbage, they were very nice and quickly.

The room and hotel was very nice!

Lovely room with lots of space, although the bed was too small compared to the rest of the suite. Location was good and staff were helpful with recommendations. Only issue was a fire alarm in the middle of the night which wasn’t the hotels fault but we felt that it wasn’t handled well by the staff. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Excellent value for money, with incredibly kind staff. Special thanks to Mel and Carlos. The windows of our rooms overlooked the machinery, pipes, and other equipment on the roof.

I loved everything about this hotel, great bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. I would have given it one more star, but what bothered me was the pressure to attend a timeshare mtg fir 90 minutes.

Felt secure with the locked front doors. Bathroom was a good size. We liked having a small freezer along with the fridge. The bed was really comfortable. We would have liked a kettle to make tea. The lighting was rather dim for our liking.

Perfect location, few mins to Union square

Someone stole my watch. Concierge tried to sell me a time share and when I declined short, bald man was really rude and unprofessional. Avoid this place and anyone that “owns” a suite here AT ALL COSTS.

Super clean and super location Nothing all great

This hotel was fantastic! Rooms are SPACIOUS! And there is a delicious diner a block away and great sushi next door. If you want space, this is it. You will never feel cramped during your stay. Will stay again. No need to go anywhere else in SF.

The location is central and convenient. A few blocks down the road we had quite a number of homeless people.

I requested an ADA room for one of the 2 rooms I booked and the hotel honored it plus the other room was upgraded to the Presidential suite to my pleasant surprise! Thank you. My family and I got together after 7 years (minus my Dad plus my young niece and nephew) for my wedding amidst my mom’s terminal diagnosis. We very much enjoyed our stay! Thank you! No parking

Not bad Staff/Guest services

Rachel, our concierge, was amazingly kind and helpful! She made us feel at home and welcome, and she went the extra mile to help us find good vegan restaurants. Thank you, Rachel! We also liked the recreation room quite a bit. One of the blankets smelled really bad. That said, the staff was wonderful and brought us a new one within 5 minutes.

Great being in San Francisco and having a suite instead of just a hotel room. Sometimes difficult to get into but worth it. Decent fitness room. Great location in lower Nob Hill. Try to ask for one of the rooms that have the bigger, double shower. The showers are bordered in stone and other decorative materials. Very very nice.

The hotel was fantastic from arrival through departure! The staff were friendly and helpful, the building felt safe, and everything was clean. Our suite was spacious and had everything we needed. The game room was fun, and there was even a small New Year’s Eve celebration in the lobby.

Location is great, easy to get an Uber, can walk to a lot of attractions and great restaurants. Specious room and shower. Kitchen appliances need updating, the toaster was not in a good shape. The room had layers of dust on the heaters. Can pay more attention to cleaning and upkeep.

So much room for a family of 4. The shower was HUGE! Very clean No restaurant. I've never been to a hotel without a restaurant. Homeless people invasion is an understatement outside urinating and freaking out. We felt very unsafe.

It seemed like a routine for all visitors as we saw other new guests receive the package. Other than that the staff was friendly. The room elegant and accommodating to the purpose of our stay.

Quiet room, central location. Very pushy sales people. We were lured to a separate lobby desk to pick up our "welcome packet" after check-in. We thought that meant a quick drop by to get a baggie with water and toiletries or something. Instead, the sales people at that desk asked us a lot of leading questions about our stay that we felt were invasive and time-wasting, started to give unsolicited advice on particular attractions / businesses, and then tried to convince us to join a 90-minute (!) presentation for "membership." This isn't the kind of experience we want at a hotel.

Exceptional value for a spacious room in a great central location with a nice view of the Salesforce Tower at night. Staff were friendly and responsive. The room was very quiet and I slept exceptionally well. The elevators are speedy too! Showing some wear and tear--a stain on a chair, some worn carpet in the halls, a blanket that was stiff. The kitchenette was of limited use given the lack of a cooktop. Given how expensive it is to eat out in San Francisco, I would have liked the option to cook at least one meal while there.

Everyone from the beginning to the end was wonderful. I loved the personal touch and communication from everyone. From the bellman to the front desk to the information counter. They made us feel very welcome. The room was beautiful and equipped with everything. It couldn’t have been better. Even the location.

We had people knocking at our door in the middle of the night thinking it was their room and then again at 7am. Then we had the front desk calling us asking what name our reservation was under because they had mixed up reservations and they had us under another name. They also put us in an accessible room which we had not booked and we never got our room cleaned the entire time we were there. The front desk would never acknowledge us or even say hello either. I’ve worked in hospitality for years and know how things should be ran and this was a very disappointing experience unfortunately.

It would be a lot to clean each unit every day. I can't imagine wanting to stay anywhere else while in town. The local area is right downtown, but we didn't have any issues. Buss stops we needed were all within a few block walk.

The room it’s a small apartment, functional little kitchen with a dining table and living room, spacious bathroom and a nice bright room with a very comfortable bed. It was our first time in San Francisco and the hotel location was just perfect, conveniently located, easy access to everything, restaurants around the area, walking distance to Union Square.

I rarely give 5 stars for my experience but I have no real reason not to. I really like their texting communication system, they text before your arrival and during stay and you can text them any time asking questions and they respond back in timely manner. I requested for very quiet room and far from elevators and requested late check out. The room was located perfectly, it was at the end of the hallway, away from elevators and not on a laundry room floor. The laundry rooms are on Odd number floors like 7,9 etc, I was on 8th floor. It was great that they offer laundry washer dryer for free and you can use any time of day. The front desk person even asked if I needed detergent. I had a kitchen with microwave, minifrig/freezer, dishwasher. Bed was in a room so area was spacious. Bed was comfy. The bathroom is ok and shower had nice flowing water. TV had regular cable channels. Heat/AC worked fine. WiFi was good. The front desk people were friendly, every time I asked for toilet paper they provided it. I was allotted 1 housekeeping session for the 8 nights I was staying. Some people would not like that as they prefer housekeeping everyday but I was ok with it. I wish there was better lighting for putting on my makeup but it was ok. I read reviews on them trying to sell you timeshare and taking up your time, I got 1 call from a man downstairs saying he was concierge and I just told him I was busy and hung up. I think he was going to pitch me timeshare, but he did not try again.

A lovely property, managed by a sparse but kind and welcoming staff. I appreciated the queen suite’s generous size and while the location is not absolutely central it’s convenient enough. Good value for the price.

The street itself was very dirty and smelled. The homeless situation was not very pleasant. But these issues were not of your own making. It was just not very amenable in the immediate vicinity of the property. The reality of the location would not preclude us from booking the Canterbury again.

One of the nicer properties around Union Square. Room was spacious, quiet, bed was comfortable, and the hotel overall is nice. The woman who checked me in on the left side of the lobby was a bit cold and unwelcoming; however the woman over at the Concierge area (right side when you walk in) was super nice. I’d consider staying again.

The Hotel is grand as compared to any around the SF downtown area which charge more than the Canterbury Wyndham. The location, interior of the rooms and facilities of the kitchen were excellent. Will book again when in the area.

my new favorite place to stay whenever im visiting sf for sure!! the staff are so friendly, welcoming, and respectful. they treat you like you are royalty and even allowed us to check out later at no additional cost. the price per night is extremely affordable for the beautiful & spacious room you get (huge bathroom, nice bedroom, living room, and kitchen area). they even have a cute little event on fridays where they serve finger foods and prosecco which was a really pleasant surprise!! best stay ever!

has no hot plate or any kind of cooking surface, nothing but a microwave oven, which is very limited. This was a problem for me since I had a 6 night stay, and cannot eat out twice a day for so long. Otherwise, it was spacious, clean and quiet.

This was a fabulous place to stay as a tourist in San Francisco. We walked everywhere and the one bedroom suite was spacious and comfortable.

This is on the edge of the Tenderloin district which is unfortunately a very rough area of the city, so you will to very cautious avoid walking in that direction. Look down when you're walking too, because there will likely be poo. If you are walking from the Bart station, be prepared to walk uphill.

A beautiful hotel where everybody gets a brand new suite! My favorite thing about the room was the beautifully tiled shower stall. The lobby is luxurious and the hotel has a nice workout room right there on the first floor. I love the fact that the hotel is secure and you need to use your room key to get in the front door. Free coffee in the morning was very good, I went downstairs and bought some microwave Popcorn, watched a great movie on a rainy day through casting Amazon prime to the big tv screen in my living room. The place is a quiet retreat after a long day of sightseeing and walking. Highly recommended.

Great hotel located downtown close to restaurants, activities et transportation. The staff was amazing! From the front desk at late arrival till the check out every staff member we have crossed or ask for recommandation was smiling and look happy to talk to us.

We were asked to attend a timeshare presentation, but they let us go after 20 minutes when it became clear we were unlikely to buy. In return we got some breakfast snacks and coffee and a voucher for a free hotel stay. All in all I was very happy with our stay.

It took forever to check in. They only had one person checking in people and I had to wait almost 10 minutes just to be checked in. You should hire more front desk staff.

The hotel and staff are great but the location os pretty unsafe. Lot of drug addicts that live on the street around.

Very nice, clean, big rooms with an excellent workout facility and friendly staff made my stay here perfect.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We checked in late at night and the lady that assisted us was very helpful she suggested a pizza place that delivered and we loved it. And she offered to bring whatever we needed to our room once we got up there. The area was very convenient, during the day was great to walk around.

The hotel was the most presentable-looking hotel in terms of appearance out of all the hotels in the area. Very fancy ornate indoor lobby for the price. The rooms had a very modern appearance for the price. Room had no smelly odors and had a nice kitchenette. The WiFI building in the room can be spotty at times. Overall, would recommend again.

This is cute hotel within walking distance to main tourist areas. It is clean and secure. It is set up like a mini apartment with a living room, small kitchen and bedroom. It is however, relatively close to Tenderloin district- an area of SF riddled with homelessness and crime. You will be safe in the hotel and as along you only take a left out of the hotel and avoid the tenderloin/mission district you should be fine . Highly recommend ubering at night.

Only downside was no food at the property

Our one bedroom apartment was very spacious. We were able to walk here and there. Free laundry on the floor. Affordable rate. We made the best choice to stay there.

This is the best hotel in San Francisco I ever seen. Great location. Renovated and clean. Staff is awesome. My parents and my brothers live in San Francisco, so I'm visiting the city 3-4 times a year and finally I found the hotel I love. Highly recommend

We had a 2 night stopover at Club Wyndham Canterbury and found every aspect of our stay agreeable.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. I especially appreciated how clean everything was. The only thing that was bothersome was the neighborhood. There is a lot of homelessness in the area. Although not directly in front of the hotel but the immediate streets over. However I must say I felt totally safe once inside the hotel.

Perfect hotel for us. Great central location for the train, cable cars, Oracle Park, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. Loved having a separate bedroom. Service was outstanding. My only issue at all, is that it is a timeshare building and you get a bit of a sales pitch. Not a big deal just wasn’t expected.

The hotel is beautiful and modern. It was very clean. Having a separate bedroom and a kitchenette made our stay perfect. There is no housekeeping so you have to call for trash pickup or new towels, etc. It is an excellent location and we walked to many places.

This is a very nice property. It is a time share so it does not have daily cleaning unless you pay extra I think but the hotel is very nice and the rooms were nice and clean and spacious. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant and my kids enjoyed the game room which had a pool table. The area around the hotel, as well as the rest of the city, is definitely off it's game and was a let down. I sure hope all the smart, rich people in that city figure out how to make it nice again.

Comfortable. Very attentive staff. If you're not a member, you'll be asked to attend a Club Wyndham event. It's a little close to the Tenderloin district, which is not a nice neighbourhood. The "kitchen" doesn't include a cook top, but an electric frying pan was provided on request and that worked well for us.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the Wyndham. I hadn't realized that the room was like more of a suite, which was great because I stayed for 5 day and had every convenience in the room- coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, etc etc. everything I could have possibly needed. The staff was great. The only thing that I was unclear on was the maid service- in that there wasn't really any- luckily I am very low maintenance and garbage left outside door was picked up immediately-but I found it odd that my room was never refreshed...anyway- highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

Well satistified! Staff are very heplful. Excellent accomodation . We are thankful too that the room is ready for us even we checked in very early. Great amenities. Feels like home. Specially most of the staff are Filipinos. We stayed there for 4 days. Highly recommend specially if you are traveling with families.

Habitaciones súper cómodas! No hay nada mejor que llegar de las caminadas y poder tener comodidades de espacio, mesa y cocina. Al inicio pensé era necesario poder cocinar, pero alrededor hay muchas opciones de restaurantes ya toda hora. La cocina fue más para tener cosas de “picar”. Excelente opción para familias… además podíamos estar aparte de los hijos, cada quien con su espacio
