Reviews
Guests frequently praise the hotel's location, describing it as convenient, safe, and walkable to various attractions such as Oracle Park, Pier 39, and the financial district. The staff are consistently commended for their friendliness, helpfulness, and accommodating nature. However, some guests express dissatisfaction with the size of the rooms, describing them as small. Additionally, a few guests have encountered issues with the cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms.
- Convenient and safe location
- Friendly and accommodating staff
- Rooms are on the smaller side
- Cleanliness and maintenance issues in some rooms

This is a great place to stay. The staff were awesome. The room was clean. It's in a very convenient location. Within walking distance from most places

Toilet didn’t work. Horrible parking experience. They instructed to park in a garage down the road which closes at midnight so good luck trying to find anywhere to park after midnight. Will definitely not be staying here next time I’m in town. Room was not very clean either
- 2/5
Dirty carpets, no tissues, this was far from a nice place
- 5/5
Clean room, veeeeeery cold A/C and I love it, and the free unlimited water bottles and refill station is always a good touch. I’ve stayed at this location probably 20 times and I will always stay here. Great proximity to walk where you need to go and it has everything you need.
- 3/5
There is free coffee though- which is pretty good. The location is nice- you can walk pretty much anywhere.
- 4/5
Add $45 a day if you have a car to park in the Parking Structure across the street.
- 5/5
I booked this work trip for coworkers, they said everything was great and would stay again.
- 2/5
I will say that the staff was friendly. The location was good, too. Everything else was like a cheap two star hotel, not a four star hotel. All of this for the price of a four star hotel. I would not recommend this hotel.

- 1/5
The hotel's location is excellent and very convenient for tourists, with many attractions easily accessible. However, the property is showing its age and would benefit from a refurbishment, particularly the furniture. The room did not appear as clean as expected, and some items (including the TV) were not working properly. Although I reported these issues and requested assistance, they were never resolved during my stay. What was most disappointing was the lack of any apology, acknowledgment, or goodwill gesture at check-out despite the unresolved problems. Overall, the location is a strong point, but the hotel falls short in terms of maintenance, cleanliness, and customer service

Not much of anything Came back to the hotel after Giants game and had to park five blocks away. They say you can park at Embarcadero 1 but had to park at 3 to check in and 4 later. No fridge in the room. Nothing special at all.

Breakfast was very good, location too, the staff very nice and accomodating. the interior of the room is a little dated but overall the hotel offers great value for money. the interior of the room is a little dated but overall the hotel offers great value for money.

The hotel is fine for the price. The location is decent, and there is safe self-parking in a nearby garage. The hotel room was clean, but a bit weathered. The walls are incredibly thin. If you're looking for a cheap, basic place to stay while you see the city, this is a great option. If you are looking for comfort, stay somewhere else.

Nice place to stay, clean and friendly staff, rooms were a bit small and outdated but it got the job done. Good location too.
- 2/5
TV didn’t work. Staff was basically worthless, and the room was in need of paint job. This was a two star hotel at best. And it was not worth the price, there were far better options for cheaper. I will not book with Expedia again if this is the quality I’m expected to pay. Horrible experience.
- 1/5
Very disappointed the AC did not work all night room was too stuffy sweaty the whole night. This is my third time staying, and this will be my last stay . I will move myself from being a loyal customer. we also called the front desk because the TV channels were not working. He said he needed to send a technician to the room. Technician never arrived gave up on my second call.

Hotel was clean and convenient since it’s in the middle of where we wanted to be when exploring San Francisco. There’s no parking lot so you will need to park in the parking garages or street parking that are close by. Just keep in mind on days where there is street cleaning near the hotel.
- 5/5
We had to book multiple rooms for family. Check-in was easy and efficient (Thanks Liz!) All of our rooms were very clean. The suite had a lovely and good-size terrace. Appreciated the free coffee and tea in the lobby. Location was great for exploring SanFran from the Ferry building.
- 4/5
Perfect for Ferry access. Good for independent travelers who do not need services except a bed and a bathroom. Price is very reasonable and the parking garage is right there at a reasonable price on weekends.

Club quarters, no matter what city I visit them in, are always predictable, clean, efficient, and small. Good value. Parking at the Embarcadero Financial District is expensive. It's now $45 overnight. Too bad the hotel didn't have a negotiated rate with the garage they recommend. Parking is a hassle.

The staff and location was great! Another plus for me was the HOT water in the shower. We stayed in a one room suit, we could never figure out how to cast onto one of the TVs and the TV in the bedroom didn't get any channels and would only stay connected for screen casting for about 15 minutes. We didn't mind too much since we were out all day and usually pretty tired when we got back to the room.

The hotel is in a nice location but our room had a cracked shower head, the Nespresso machine would not work properly. The TV turned off in 10 minutes and the remote would not work properly. The restaurant is only ok. The front doors need to be automatic. People almost hit me with the door coming out of the place as I was about to walk in.

- 4/5
It is a very average place to stay. Nothing wrong with it. The location was busy and you can walk to Chinatown. Compared with other options in the city, it would have been nice to have a few more amenities. But for the price, it was fine. I did think the staff could be a little friendlier. And I am not even sure what they offer if anything as the check-in process was not as friendly as in other hotels.
- 5/5
all of the staffs were extremely warm and welcoming! space was clean, with free coffee 24/7 and huge space in the back of lobby, where you can get work done/ chat with friends. Would still stay here next time in sf!

-- Location is hard to beat — Club Quarters Embarcadero puts you at the doorstep of the waterfront, with the Financial District, Ferry Building, and easy transit all within reach -- Staff is consistently warm and welcoming — Patrick, the GM, is a genuine highlight and a familiar face that makes returning feel like coming home -- Solid value for San Francisco, a city where hotels routinely overcharge and underdeliver -- Reliably quiet for a city hotel — a good night's sleep is the norm here -- The kind of place that earns repeat visits — we've been coming back for over ten years, which says everything -- Rooms are compact and occasionally you'll hear neighbors — light sleepers should request an upper floor -- Carpets and wall coverings show their age and are due for a refresh -- Club member rates have lost their edge — we'd love to see more competitive pricing for loyal guests

Free breakfast. Bed was worn out/broken down and too small for 2 people. The shower had a curtain that was too short and did not prevent the shower head from watering the floor. The shower head was on the narrow side shower wall and aimed directly at the curtain.

We stayed at Club Quarters Hotel Embarcadero and had a great experience overall. The hotel is in an excellent location in the Financial District, in a very clean, quiet, and safe area, with easy access both by public transportation and on foot to many parts of San Francisco. The room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the bed was extremely comfortable as well. We also had a nice outside view, which made the stay even better. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. One of the biggest positive surprises for us was the complimentary coffee, tea, and water available throughout the day and night. It was a very thoughtful touch that made the experience even more convenient and enjoyable. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Francisco and would definitely stay here again.

I'm sure when this hotel was completed in the early 2000's it was quite nice. But it is very tired now with old frayed and stained carpet, desk drawer falling out, dirty headboard, old finishes in general. It's a great location, so that is a plus. There is no restaurant for breakfast, but you can go across the street. Coffee unit in lounge was nice.

The location of the hotel is excellent, it is close to many popular city attractions and there are plenty of great food options nearby. The room was neat, clean, and comfortable, and the common areas were also very well maintained. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to San Francisco. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely come back again in the future.
- 5/5
I have stayed at Club Quarters throughout the country. I like the value they provide. This is my 4th time staying at the SF location, and it is walking distance from lots of great restaurants and public transportation. The staff is great and while there aren't lots of frills, the rooms have everything I need. Fast check in, check out, and clean rooms are all I need for short stays.
- 3/5
A little rundown but the room was sufficient and location very central. Best price for a non-motel room that I saw in downtown SF.
- 3/5
Location was great. Parking nearby is $45 per day. Weekends street parking is free. Coffee was good. Old and dated hotel. The room carpet looked dirty and stained as well as some walls. Freezer froze everything and tv was not working which was fixed during our stay. We had to call for towels which were not enough for 4 adults. I should not have to call to get some basic things that should have been taken care of before. The sofa bed was also the most uncomfortable one I ever slept in. The floor would have been more comfortable.
- 5/5
The area that the hotel is in is actually very nice. Parking for one night was $46. I might have been able to find something cheaper but I gave up lol. Front desk was super friendly and welcoming. You can fill up your water bottles everywhere. The coffee in the morning was awesome - an espresso machine downstairs and Nespresso in the rooms! Bed was super comfy. AC kept me snuggled up in the blankets. Nice and quiet at night too

The location was perfect for all the places we wanted to go to and accommodated pets The room we stayed in was very small and very basic and outdated. The worst part about the stay was there was no dedicated parking and left us to find parking in a very crowded area. There are neighboring parking garages, but they were definitely a walk.

Such an excellent hotel for couples to stay in while they explore San Francisco. Safe Neighborhood, close to transportation and on the sightseeing bus route. Amazing value compared to other hotels in the area. Breakfast option really good at Fish and Farm next door. Evening food at the same venue also good. Our room had a fridge and microwave which proved ideal for preparing a snack after our long flight. We would definitely choose to stay here again. Staff super helpful, responded quickly to queries via whatsapp and any issues we had were resolved straight away. I can't really think of anything that realistically could be improved for the terrific value offered by the hotel. As UK visitors we would have expected a kettle in the room (there is a Nespresso coffee machine) but this was resolved very quickly with a kettle being delivered to our room. I honestly cannot speak highly enough of the hotel for meeting and exceeding our expectations. I cannot imagine there is anywhere in the same area offering the same level of comfort for the price charged.

The hotel overall is nice and clean and pretty good if you’re just in the city for a couple days and spending most of your days outside and not in your hotel room. Liz was great letting us check in early to our room to explore the city early. One of the only issues we had in our stay was the a/c unit did not work at all. It was better to keep the window open to allow cool air to come in & our TV didn’t work at all which we didn’t mind but we wanted to watch tv before bed.
- 5/5
This is the second time I’ve stayed here, the most recent time I came as a solo traveller so I picked something I knew and felt safe in. The location is great, quiet over the weekends as it’s the financial district but a short walk from Chinatown and union square. The rooms are good sizes and have everything you need, the staff were super helpful. I would definitely recommend and especially to anyone solo travelling if you are any a safer neighbourhood

The air conditioning did not work. The front desk said someone would fix it. I came back in the evening and it was never fixed. The room is clean. The bathrooms are motel-esque. And the rooms are small. The water refill station was questionable. The water had a very poor taste and the system is inefficient. However, I’d say for the price and safe location, I would stay here again.
- 4/5
Good location and in a decent area. Staff was nice and friendly. Hotel was clean and rooms were clean. I recommend this place!

My daughter and I stayed here for three nights and we couldn't be happier. The room was exceptionally clean and fresh every day, which we really appreciated. The location was the best part—we were within walking distance of everything we wanted to see, making our trip so easy and stress-free. We’re very satisfied and would definitely stay here again!

Great staff and nice location and amenities made this a perfect stay for a trip to the DeYoung Museum and a game at Oracle Park, which was walking distance along the Embarcadero and Ferry Bldg. We’ll stay again.

Everything was great, except parking Unfortunately there was no parking, which is why I originally booked the property. Fine print says there's parking down the street around a 5 minute walk, and no where to stop to take out your luggage. Parking is $48 per day.

Personally found the location to be good. I went with a small group and the lobby was a great place to gather and have free coffee/tea, either before leaving for the day or coming back at night. Loved that they had refillable bottles and cold filtered water available. $100 deposit that I didn't know about, not sure if i just didn't read the fine print but it caught me off guard while checking in. The hotel has a "The Shining" vibe, so if you're not into that maybe not the best hotel for you or get there early and ask for a room near the elevator so that you don't have to walk through the 3 different hallways I had to.
- 4/5
Otherwise, the room was basic but comfortable.
- 5/5
Check in was quick & efficient. Great amenities from shampoo, conditioner, bath gel - to a Nespresso machine in the room - to an iron+board. My room faced a busy street but the double paned windows muted the noise. The TV had lots of channels. A great weekend hotel at a reasonable price. In the financial district away from downtown - but great for walking (flat) to the Ferry Bldg, Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf, the ballpark, Union Square, etc - & if you want the challenge… SF hills. I’d come back & stay again.

Staff was great. Gregory let me check in early. It was great to be back home in SF and this place brought me back to the area near the Ferry building, financial district, and my old stomping grounds. I will definitely stay here again. Thank you everyone!
- 5/5
Rooms can be small (club rooms) and not all have a refrigerator (so call them to double check before you book a type of room) but: (1) The staff is wonderful. Just good people. They go out of their way to be helpful. Obviously respect to them also helps. (2) Location--5 minute walk to the Ferry Bldg and Embarcadero and to the F trolley to the Wharf or Castro and stops all along Market St; 3 minute walk to California street cable car; 8 minute walk to Montgomery Muni and BART station and to many buses including 38R Geary express; 10 min walk to Chinatown and North Beach! The list goes on. (4) Great lounge with workspaces and complimentary espresso drinks. (5) Quiet area at night. No horns from traffic. I always feel like I am "coming home" to SF when I visit and that is because of the staff. Can't wait to go again.
- 5/5
Great location! Fair priced
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
I love staying at this hotel. The rooms are so clean and nice. Staff is always friendly and helpful in the lobby getting you checked in properly. There is a restaurant located downstairs which is easy access for drinks and dinner. The room staying nice and cold with the AC in each room while sleeping
- 3/5
Extremely clean, room was small, restroom door should be able to close, parking was the biggest downfall
- 4.5/5
Location was great. Centrally located. Public transportation is easily accessible. Clean comfortable room. Spacious in SFO standard. Lots of hooks to hang stuff. The lobby has a very nice coffee machine and nice area to sit. Not having a safe, refrigerator and a couch. The room can easily fit these items. It is minimally furnished otherwise it was comfortable.
- 2.5/5
needs renovation. properly maintained, but feels like nothing has been refreshed in the last 15 years.
- 3/5
Conveniently located. Outdated.
- 4/5
Great location, close to the city center with easy bus access via California Street and plenty of good restaurants nearby.
- 5/5
The staff were super friendly. Great location and a nice price.
- 4/5
It's good, but there is no parking garage. Need to walk from the public parking.
- 4/5
Great location and affordable for a quick stay. Close to Chinatown, several restaurants and you can walk down to the water. Rooms are small and very little counter space in the bathroom. Definitely a deal for those on a budget though!
- 2/5
The carpet was filthy there rooms are not designated for people with pets or no pets old and not nice
- 5/5
Love the area. Safer than any other part of the city from out POV. Close to everything we wanted to do. Friendly staff.
- 3/5
Clean and decent rooms. Comfortable beds and bedding. A little dated and basic but good price for location. Windows did not open and air circulation was suboptimal.
- 5/5
Staff was awesome. Hotel is in a great location. I'd definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Clean room, pet friendly.
- 2/5
We were forced to evacuate at 3am because of the fire alarm. Quite Pathetic. good that it wasn't cold. The airconditioning is noisy too.
- 1/5
The bed was a full, not a queen. The fire alarm malfunctioned and the entire hotel was evacuated in the middle of the night and we were told it was a circuitry issue. The TV did not work. This place sucked.
- 5/5
The digital system doesn’t work and requires more staff effort to go back and fix errors. Trying to save money by skimping on little things is obvious: the fancy coffee maker in the guest lobby is always out of milk, the fancy refillable shampoo and soap dispenser in each shower is broken because it’s cheaply made. The elevators are often not working.
- 4/5
The room was clean and staff was friendly. There was no fridge or microwave and no water bottles in the room. P
- 4/5
Great location and overall great value for the price, but the room could have been cleaner.
- 5/5
Located in Embarcadero/ downtown SFO, this hotel is at walking distance of Chinatown, Piers/Port, parks and a myriad of restaurants. There is even a "Safeway" a couple of blocks fm the hotel. To be underscored: SFO downtown feels safer and cleaner than a few years ago. Staff hotel amicable and effective. This hotel is a great option when visiting SFO.
- 4/5
Good location for walking around town and good rooms. Staff were also good.
- 4/5
Room was immaculate and quiet, and everything worked as expected.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
great staff
- 4/5
Good location
- 5/5
They clean your room daily!
- 3/5
Room was ok
- 4/5
Queen Bed was comfy and pillows were really nice. Very clean room. Only negative was the size of the room.
- 4/5
Good staff at breakfast and it was a well located place that felt high quality
- 3/5
Very small room with no charm. If you don’t plan on being there but to sleep/get ready it’s fine
- 4/5
The staff was great, and I liked my room. They still use Chromecast devices instead of having SmartTVs, and mine only worked once in four nights. Other than that, it was a great stay.
- 4/5
Just a quick overnight stay. Room was simple and clean. Staff were friendly. Great location.
- 5/5
Great location, clean room, good staff, quiet and peaceful
- 5/5
Great location and cozy rooms

- 5/5
Everything else was superb This was our second time
- 5/5
Excellent location, cleanliness, and friendliness.
- 4/5
Clean room. Great location and very helpful staff. Would stay here again.
- 5/5
I had a wonderful stay the properties. Location is awesome. Most of the places I wanted to go were walkable. The staff was kind and helpful. Loved the coffee bar and guest laundry. The room I stayed in did not have a mini fridge which I think every room should have it should not be a luxury to keep a soda cold. Overall, I had a really nice experience.
- 5/5
Everything was fantastic
- 3/5
Room too small
- 4/5
For the price, it’s a decent hotel. Queen room is very small so if you have multiple suitcases, it could be an issue leaving them open on the floor. Walls are quite thin so you can hear a conversation on the other end. Perfect location and walking distance to plenty of areas and public transport options.
- 4/5
The water dispenser on the third floor wasn’t great—it took a very long time to fill up, which was a minor inconvenience. Parking was decent, although paying $45 per day wasn’t ideal. It’s probably still better than most places, but it’s something you have to expect in downtown San Francisco.
- 5/5
Great location for walking the city.
- 5/5
Happy!
- 2/5
TV was broken and staff would not fix it. Requested assistance at every stage of my 3 day stay and still sat watching Netflix on my phone propped up on a pillow. Great location, I wish I could say it went better.
- 2/5
I paid for a queen size bed but was given a double/full instead (next to the elevators, so I heard them all night). When mentioned to the hotel staff, they tried convincing me that my room was a queen size. When I disagreed with them, they tried to convince me that queen size beds are made smaller nowadays. They eventually did move me, but the next room’s bed sagged in the middle and my wife and I woke up with sore lower backs.
- 5/5
Great stay, appreciated the free water and coffee, etc.
- 5/5
Best of all, there is a laundry room to help taking care of the dirty laundry especially for our 13 days staying
- 5/5
What a wonderful clean hotel with friendly staff and perfect location.
- 5/5
Nice staff, clean room, great location.
- 5/5
Check in can be done from phone, you can get your key as well. Check out was 1-2 minutes at front kiosk. I used the parking structure at Embarcadero One which is $45 a day, works well if you just want to park for most of your stay. It’s diagonal to the hotel. Hotel room was clean. AC and Heater worked well, there were 2 units in the suite. Bathroom was a bit dated, no exhaust fans for post shower and toilet. Bed was comfortable and 4 pillows for the queen.
- 4/5
Clean room with everything that is needed for an overnight stay.
- 1/5
Terrible room. Small and floors and carpet unclean and stained.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, great location, quiet room. Great place to stay in SF if you’re spending time outside of the hotel.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 3/5
Room was very small, on the dark side and barely any natural light. Light by table fell off but staff came quickly and fixed it.
- 4/5
The staff at reception are always so welcoming. I arrived quite early and they securely held my bags until check-in. They collaborated to find a room which was suitable for my stay. The lobby was a bit crowded at times, but the hotel was fully booked, so...understandable.
- 5/5
Clean rooms and great location
- 3/5
Not as I expected
- 5/5
The staff was so friendly and helpful. We arrived after midnight and they accommodated us with no problem, the only down side are the walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors full conversation. Great location for walking and accessing bus, bart and cable cars.
- 5/5
clean room, speedy checkin. nice personnell.
- 5/5
Great staff clean room and all that just kept
- 4/5
Yes
- 4/5
Clean nice room. Staff were exceptional.
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff. Close to lots of points of interest. What else do you need?Would stay there again.
- 4/5
Room was spotless and check in was real smooth.
- 5/5
Great location , rooms nice and clean .
- 5/5
Appreciated the kitchenette and desk space
- 4/5
Very comfortable and great staff. But the wifi was glitchy which made my Zoom meetings very hard to conduct. I was not able to be successful doing business while traveling. But the staff did their best to address my issue. I noticed the TV had the same connection issue- every 10-15 seconds it would get stuck in a pause - just like my Zoom meeting. Maybe not enough bandwidth to handle all the guests?

- 5/5
It was great! We loved the staff! Super helpful and attentive!!
- 3/5
Staff was great however the room that we had we very noisy.
- 4/5
Room was very clean, staff helpful. Very convenient location.
- 5/5
wonderful staff and great room
- 5/5
Nice staff
- 5/5
The room was spotless. The bedding unexpectedly comfortable and priced reasonably. Very close to the Ferry Building on the SFO bay. Near the Bay bridge.
- 5/5
Nice place. Great location. Friendly and helpful staff.
- 4/5
Large spot on floor, wall dirty or scuffed up, very far from elevator for being an accessible room.
- 3/5
The hotel is ok. A little outdated for the price. The rim was small
- 5/5
Clean room. Nice staff!
- 3/5
Walls extremely thin. Carpets worn. Its basically a smokers hotel because you smell it in the lobby and in the hallways. Indifferent reception desk emoloyees.
- 5/5
It’s was great. I definitely recommend.
- 2/5
The room had numerous stains from the floor to the ironing board, and the shower curtain had hair on it.
- 4/5
Great location. Great staff. Clean room but could use updating.
- 5/5
Will been my favorite!! First time solo traveling to San Francisco the proximity of Club Quarters to everything is very convenient. I also loved how they place toiletries in the hallways for guests to access and place empty water bottle for us to get water. Got a club room so everything is pretty standard, has a comfy bed and a cloudy comforter. The room has a microwave and a fridge which is super helpful to store my leftovers for another meal. Had to stay one more day due to flight cancellation and decided to remain here for all the convenience after comparing other options that maybe cheaper. Front desk staff were very sweet in helping me with the renewal process and check in check outs of course. Laundry was free too with detergents provided by front desk. Overall super amazing experience so i might consider Club Quarters over others going forward.

- 5/5
Staff was great.
- 5/5
Excellent location for FiDi and North Beach activities, spacious room
- 5/5
Room
- 4/5
Room was to small
- 5/5
Clean room and helpful staff!
- 4/5
Kitchen has no cookware. Nice room tho
- 5/5
The breakfast was not free. They offered basic items that are normal, and what we ordered was good.
- 5/5
nice location
- 5/5
- 5/5
The room was a bit small but very clean. We only stayed one night so it was perfect. The hidden gem is the restaurant, Fish and Farm, was phenomenal. I was worried where I didn’t see a lot of people in there but the food was excellent. We ate supper and breakfast there and my wife and I really enjoyed both meals.
- 3/5
Crazy high price for what was offered.
- 5/5
Very nice staff
- 4/5
For the $ and the what you get and location. Its great.
- 5/5
Never had a bad experience at this hotel. Brian at the front desk is always super friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
I enjoyed the checkin process
- 4/5
The staff was courteous. The room was clean. The bathroom just right. I would recommend if for anyone who just needs a place to stay the night in the financial district.
- 5/5
The hotel was walking distance to Ferry Building and Pier 39. Loved the stay here.
- 5/5
Awesome hotel from the rooms to the staff! Will definitely come back and refer this hotel.
- 1/5
No onsite parking. My car was in paid parking lot next door. Staff said it should be fine. It got broken into. Lost about $1500 worth of stuff from the trunk. Wouldn't have booked there if I'd known they didn't have parking.
- 1/5
Terrible
- 5/5
Great location, spacious rooms and amazing price.
- 5/5
I like hotels that provide free water and coffee. Easy parking at a nearby parking lot, short walk to the Embarcadero to watch the NYE fireworks. At night it was a little loud (cars and other vehicles).
- 2/5
Very old rooms, carpets, and showers. I would not recommend.
- 4/5
Clean rooms and friendly staff. The best thing about this hotel is the location. Would recommend for a quick stay.
- 5/5
We love this hotel! Clean, close to our son's house. Friendly, always helpful staff, good restaurant, good value for downtown SanFrancisco
- 4/5
Amazing! Only thing was there is no parking onsite and I wish I would’ve known this specially on rainy days but not sure if this is a normal hotel parking situation in San Francisco. Parking is 45 a day a few buildings down by the way.
- 5/5
Our go to hotel whenever traveling to SF with our pup. Love the easy mobile access, makes checking in/out a breeze. No pet fees is a plus, great location and rooms are perfect.
- 2/5
Room felt neglected. Lamp didn’t work. Dirty rug. Loud noise at night. Sink was stopped up. Difficulty in getting soap when showering.
- 5/5
Very nice! Easy to get room key and check out!
- 5/5
Good location, good amenities, and our stay was perfect. No complaints and would stay again
- 5/5
Good restaurant in the lobby.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean comfortable room, refrigerator, good restaurant attached
- 5/5
Room was a tad small but very clean, comfortable bed and pillows. Everything you need. Great location.
- 5/5
Good
- 2/5
The pillows were stained, ants on the bed along with random stains & rips on the sheet (they don’t even use a fitted sheet) Fingerprint marks allover the headboard so you can tell they don’t really “clean” the room after each guest.
- 5/5
Room was great. Comfortable bed and linen. Very friendly staff, especially at the front desk.
- 4/5
Great staff, old property in need of a refresh.
- 1/5
Hotel didn’t have self parking we had to pay additional Room didn’t have microwave or a mini fridge, it says things are at short drive distance such as pier 39 which is a drive to get too , I will not stay at this hotel or recommend
- 5/5
It was good
- 5/5
Walkable to Chinatown, North Beach, and Fisherman's Wharf
- 5/5
Excellent room. Fine staff. Great location - walking distance to the Piers and Ferry building.
- 5/5
I did parttake in the breakfast, I was told I had not selected it when I purchased my stay. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable. And the front room staff who meet, greet and help you out are totally awesome. They make the stay most pleasant. Very welcoming. Other staff members I met were also very polite.
- 5/5
Staff were exceptional! they were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area, and super friendly! the guest room is great with clean and comfortable bed, clean washroom and love the espresso machine. the only thing I would say that needs improvement would be the carpet flooring which probably needs routine shampooing but other than that we had a great stay!
- 3/5
Small room. Layout is inconvenient.
- 5/5
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean.
- 4/5
Clean room, service
- 5/5
Good ratio of price and quality
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff and good location

Front desk staff are very friendly. We felt very welcome.

- 4/5
Free espresso coffee machine 24/7
- 4/5
The hotel room was spacious and clean. The building itself is a bit old but other than that, this was a good hotel
- 5/5
Gym and vending a plus
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and kind. The property was just what we needed for a work/play weekend in SF. Having a restaurant onsite was also very convenient.
- 5/5
Reception staff extremely helpful. Great location. Room was just as described: clean and nicely furnished. Main floor living room with beverages is a nice amenity.
- 4/5
Very helpful staff. We only stayed for 1 night in the superior queen room with a kitchenette and it was fine. Very basic rooms, but clean. The best part of the hotel were the location and staff. We’d stay again.
- 5/5
Had a great stay at Club Quarters! Room 843 was a spacious room at end of hallway. Quiet and just what I needed to have a good night’s rest. Everything was clean and maintained. Bed and pillows were an absolute cloud! Will return again!
- 4/5
The hotel was nice and clean. It was small, but just what we needed. The only problem was finding parking which was then overly expensive.
- 4/5
Good deal an great location
- 5/5
Heard the neighbor’s phone conversation at 6:30 am.
- 5/5
Polite, efficient staff. Quiet rooms. Clean bathroom.
- 5/5
I did not get breakfast. But the stay was Great!
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable room, good staff, great location.
- 4/5
There was no free breakfast but ther was a restaurant next door.
- 4/5
Staff was great. Hotel was nice. Heat cut off in one of my rooms late in the night but I was moved to a better room right away! Thanks!
- 4/5
We paid for breakfast. I realized now it was included.
- 5/5
Stayed there for thankgiving. The city was so great & inviting. The hotel provided everything we needed. The staff was kind, informative & respectful.
- 5/5
Clean room. VERY comfortable mattress. Quiet
- 2/5
Hotel rooms were not as advertised. The lobby area and lounge is up to par but the rooms need a major upgrade to remove the dirty carpets and allow ventilation.
- 5/5
Perfect location
- 5/5
-Would appreciate if we could see all the available rooms online by one and having to call for additional options. - Pleasantly surprised to have a king bed, as we’ve been here many times and always had queens. Was not shown online to be a king. - we park on the street, but would appreciate some form of a parking partner for those times when we just don’t want to deal with feeding the meter, getting up early to either feed the meter or move the car for street sweeping. Yes, there are many Parking options around, but which one to use?
- 5/5
Great place for a quick stay in SF! Great food and entertainment near by, Just walking a few blocks or taking the bus!
- 5/5
Staff was great, loved the location, lots of parking nearby and room very clean
- 4/5
After a wrong booking, I was given a room with a queen bed and pull out sofa bed. I was charged $25 extra per night. Bathroom appears in need of upgrade. Room was very quiet. Location of the hotel was ideal for this trip.
- 5/5
Great location. Clean room. Good breakfast.
- 3/5
Staff was nice but hotel was not what I was expecting. The photos
- 1/5
Everything is dirty. We slept in our dirty clothes.
- 5/5
Perfect location for a three day holiday. Chinatown, mission district, north beach and Embarcadero all walking distance. Staff were friendly. Room met expectations.
- 5/5
Was good.
- 4/5
Great value, but as others have stated, walls are thin. I use ear plugs when I travel so it doesn’t bother me much hearing the neighbors. I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Very nice staff and great location.
- 5/5
Like the 1 bedroom suite and the fact that the hotel is pet friendly. Coffee machine at the lobby was good and made good coffees. Nice to have good coffee when getting back tired from a long day to the hotel. The hotel was placed very central in walking distance to everything. Parking was very close and convenient.
- 5/5
Excellent service and cleanliness.
- 2/5
queen bed felt like two smaller beds put together, sleeping in the middle had my back and side aching the next morning. tv wasn’t working, cable and casting
- 4/5
Yes
- 5/5
Very clean, comfy bed and down pillows with comforter, think white towel, good coffee in the lobby and water dispenser. Breakfast was delicious
- 5/5
We booked this hotel while we were already in town. The hotel allowed us to check in really early without a charge because they had an open room. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel after we checked out, which was our main priority. Overall the stay was great! The room looked a little worn/used but it was clean, which matters the most. The entire staff was super friendly. I loved the coffee/tea bar and it was available all day. The location was perfect for our plans. We would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
Good location and price. Everything is clean. Ac pre heat to keep everything comfortable upon entry. Has free coffee machine downstair of good quality.

- 5/5
very helpful and kind staff! the room was spotless!
- 5/5
Great room! Clean, well appointed… nice coffee room! Lovely staff (attempts to use technology superseded by actual necessary human beings to help!)
- 2/5
Hotel was old and run down. Room was badly in need of an update and was not very clean. Will not stay there again.
- 3/5
The hotel lacks warmth and feels neglected. Disappointed because the reviews we read seemed promising.
- 5/5
Good

It would be nice to have a refrigerator.

- 5/5
Great stay and clean hotel
- 5/5
Whenever I go into the city, I stay here! It’s in a perfect location within walking distance to many of San Francisco’s restaurants, clubs, entertainment. Jordan checked us in and was extremely helpful and friendly!
- 5/5
The room was nice and the staff were lovely. I liked the coffee/lounge area and free laundry room. The hotel is well situated and have stayed previously while traveling on business.
- 5/5
Excellent hotel would recommend to all my friends
- 5/5
Great staff, clean rooms. Great location
- 5/5
This was my second stay at the property! Each stay is better than the next!! I had just gotten off work, exhausted. I was standing bewildered at the check-in kiosk when Jordan at the desk said not to worry. I was checked in smoothly!! My room was renovated, and it felt like I slept on a cloud. The bed is amazing. I will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
Room was spotless!!! Staff were great!! Jordan and Maria were fantastic !!

- 5/5
Excellent staff..nice reception area...good coffee..
- 5/5
Nice clean room. Great location in San Francisco!!
- 5/5
Clean cozy room, I could open the window. Liked having fridge and microwave. Free laundry facilities! Very comfortable bedding and pillows! Coffee in common area was delicious! Filtered water in common area on each floor. Friendly staff. Very convenient central location. Checkout is at noon. I loved this hotel!
- 5/5
Great place, reasonable price.
- 4/5
The room and location was perfect. Only thing was that the bed was not comfortable, other than that no complaints.
- 5/5
We really like this hotel. It’s affordable, in a great location, comfortable, and clean. The staff are really nice. Shout out to Jordan for helping us find the right room.
- 3/5
Room was great no noise at all! Parking was definitely terrible had to pay extra $45 for that had to walk with all luggage back to hotel after parking…. Hotel does not mention anything about parking on the booking… & staff give you 0 directions on what level to go for your room… overall room is great!
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff were very nice!
- 4/5
Clean and efficient.
- 2/5
Room looks like a prison. The bathroom looked so dirty so I was too scared to take a shower. Didn't even offer liquid shower gel there was only bar soap.. The walls are paper thin and we couldn't sleep because of the people staying in the room next to us. Definitely not a 4 star hotel.
- 4/5
Super convenient and just what we needed. Friendly staff and comfortable room!
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Locality - a safe feeling area surrounded by skyscrapers in the financial district .A subway round the corner . Safeway 6-8mins walk away for room necessities . Lots of reataurants in the area and a 5 min walk to Chinatown and about 15 mins to Union Square, for Macy’s, Gucci etc ! Very easy to find from the airport - take the BART ( train) red or yellow line and get off at Embacadero - then walk for around 8-10mins. Just tap in and out with any debit card( like you do in London - nice and easy - worked out around $11 each way. Hotel - lovely friendly staff . Room - a little dated with dark furniture but nice bright white crisp bed sheets and duvet - large tv, Nespresso coffee machine ( 4 pods per day) iron, ironing board , hairdryer, usb and sockets , toiletries - lovely very hot powerful shower and plenty of towels . We were also lucky enough to get a small fridge and microwave which came in useful . Room was cleaned and towels changed daily . On our floor -8th was a cub liked water dispenser and free empty water bottles to fill and take . Also on another floor was an ice machine , ice buckets , vending machines , laundry and a small gym . A free coffee station was also in reception. We enjoyed our stay here and would definately return .
- 5/5
Clean rooms - great location
- 5/5
Room was fairly spacious and kept clean. I reserved the large suite almost 400sq ft, but due to strange lay out, did not feel stated size. Love the espresso coffee machine in the lobby and also Nespresso machine in the room. Overall was very comfortable stay and excellent/friendly service.
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
Staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Enjoyed the access to coffee and bottled water.
- 5/5
Hotel staff was amazing and the room was amazing for a quick trip.
- 3/5
Overpriced hotel with average accommodations, Stained carpets and bad soundproof rooms.
- 5/5
The room is just right. The staff courteous and helpful. Value for money.
- 5/5
Great location
- 4/5
The room, location and service was great. The only downside was the “thin” walls and you could hear traffic.
- 5/5
Great location to get to Embarcadero and the Ferry Building.
- 3/5
Staff was great. Room was a bit worn, bathroom didn't vent well. Would like to stay again in a different room
- 5/5
Nice hotel in the business district. Nothing fancy upfront, but there is a nice lobby with snacks and convenience items. Also walking distance from North Beach, Embarcadero, Chinatown, and Union Square.
- 5/5
My usual place to stay when I'm in the city.
- 3/5
For a four star hotel, coming to stinky towels and carpet with spots was not expected.
- 3/5
Nice just wish there was fridge .
- 3/5
Room toilet clogged, single towel, no breakfast Great location but over priced
- 4/5
Liked it
- 5/5
Nice hotel would stay a
- 4/5
Had a wonderful time at the San Francisco location!
- 5/5
The water bottle refill station takes forever to fill up. Please see if 8th floor can have a faster water fill. Thank you. The front door wave wasn’t working, and the situation about the smoke smell in the room was handled right away, thank you, everything else was great.
- 5/5
To be honest the room was kind of small but it was doable.
- 5/5
Overall it’s a very nice hotel and staff.
- 5/5
Nice & clean will be back.
- 5/5
Great deal in a prime location, right across the street from the super-fancy Jay Hotel and only a few blocks from Pier 1 which has great food options.
- 5/5
Convenient and clean. Comfortable bed!
- 5/5
Great location clean room super nice staff ☺️
- 3/5
Can’t believe there’s no mini fridge in this 4-star place and the carpet is dirty
- 2/5
Room felt dirty with stains on floors, side of the bed and more. Overall not a great place
- 5/5
Greg was very friendly and had great energy. 10/10 stay.
- 5/5
The staff was kind and attentive. The room was clean and quiet. We enjoyed our stay!

Very clean.. nice

AC unit did not work throughout my stay. Even though I was assured a partial refund for my troubles, the hotel backed out of that promise as soon as I checked out. Very unreliable service and would not put myself through this again.

Overall hotel was nice clean with a nice restaurant Nextdoor

Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Bed and pillows wet awful. The bed was lumpy and saggy and the pillows were way too squishy.
- 5/5
Very convenient to Embarcadero and financial district, great for a business trip. The price was so reasonable that I worried it might not be in good condition, but everything was fine. Room was small but had everything I needed.

Great location but not newest interiors and facilities. You’re paying more for location

Great location

The staff were good and helpful. Facilities were, though, in poor condition. Like holes in walls in hallways, slow elevators, and so on.
- 4/5
The staff is fine and the space is fine. Location was easy. But the whole hotel needs a refresh frankly. Just tired and worn out. Room and halls and entry.
- 3/5
The hotel is well aged. The rooms need a renovation.

I was woken up at 7 am on two separate occasions by housekeeping requesting to clean the room

I liked its proximity to the Embarcadero, financial district, Chinatown and North Beach. Parking is right around the corner at a reasonable rate. Staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms and amenities are adequate; could use some updating. I think they need at least a second coffee maker in the lounge area; a single one creates quite a line in the morning.

Staff friendly, hotel clean and comfortable.

Conveniently walkable to Chinatown and financial district

I went for FOLSOM 😈

There was mold in the bathroom. On the ceiling and in the shower in the floor. The check in proccess wasn’t the best. They had out reservation wrong in the system. So they took an extra 30 mins to check in.

I can't expect more, very clean room, easy access to everything, very nice area.

Fantastic location great price, comfy bed, that’s all you need in San Francisco

My room smelled like it had not been used or aired in a long time, it was not pleasant and lingered on my clothes. I had a corner room which again was fine for 1 night but it was quite dark. I think everyone was fairly quiet because on the few occasions I heard noise, it was just normal morning noise, so I guess it could be noisy very easily as walls seems thin. Big plus is the location and check out at 12!

Good deal, nice staff, clean rooms

Our room was clean, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and the location was absolutely perfect! It was close to lots of restaurants, Chinatown, and plenty of tourist attractions. Super close to train and bus public transport as well. Highly recommend:)

Everyone at this property from the front desk staff to the housekeeping team has been so incredily friendly, helpful and accommodating which has made my stay all the more enjoyable. Great value for the price and super convenient location. I would definitely stay here again and in fact I just extended my stay.

Excellent hotel, clean, well kept. Can walk about anywhere.

It is one of the best hotels in SF downtown, clean, comfortable, reasonably priced and convenient location.. front staff is excellent and very helpful..

Perfect

AC was broken. No possibility of a different room. Too warm for good sleep. No refund/or discount. Just a certificate for a free weekend night. … based on availability void after a year. Yeah… not the same as my ‘superior room’ mid week that I paid for.
- 3/5
The location is good and the price is exceptional. This is a no frills hotel which is to be expected with the low price. No valet, no parking, no one to assist with baggage. My main complaint was the AC did not work. The room was very warm. Opening the window was not an option due to the loud street noise. We were only able to get about 2 hours sleep. Made for a miserable next day. In colder month when AC not needed, this hotel would be perfectly adequate.

The hotel has reasonable prices at most times of the year. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. It's quiet if you have an interior-facing room; if you have a room facing the street, it's quiet unless you open a window. There isn't much hotel staff in the lobby, but check-in is generally quick and easy. The Embaracadero parking garage are nearby that you can park at for $37 overnight if you want more peace of mind about your car's safety, but I parked on the street a block over and was fine.

Check-in was a breeze, I was given access 3- hours ahead of regular time at No extra cost. The front desk staff were so professional, knowledgeable and kind, John takes the award for me, making sure I got into my Uber safely, and recommended places to visit. My Room was big enough for me, I picked a Queen, microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer, iron and ironing table amongst other amenities were available. There was a convenient location for guests to refill water bottles, pick mouthwash, shower caps etc by the elevators. I experienced my 1st earthquake ever 😀, a magnitude 4.3. I was on the 7th floor, my bed rocked a few times at 2:56AM PST, it was 😎. The hotel is across from The Jay's hotel, 6 minutes walk to Chinatown, 10 minutes to North Beach or Italian Town. Everything was perfect. Other places to visit include: Golden Gate Bridge Pier 39 Alcatraz Fisherman's Wharf Lombard Street Coit Tower North Beach ( Cafe Greco) Unit Square My Yosemite, Muir woods, Napa lake Tahoe Enjoy San Francisco weather and happy people 😀

Property is dated, and only 1 person typically at front to check in. Air conditioners loud and room had a moldy smell.

Location very nice

The hotel is fine but the rooms are a bit beat up. Stains on the carpet, marks on the walls, marks on the furniture. But overall not a bad stay. Just not sure if I’d call that 4 stars.

Interesting small hotel breakfast and restaurant was good

Great location, felt very safe walking around. The water stations on each floor are nice, but 3 minutes to fill a 20 ounce bottle is terrible. Biggest complaint is no in room safe.
