Clean and spacious room

We stayed here for leisure. The moment we walked in we felt welcomed. Staff was polite and professional. It was very clean and it smelled great. Loved that they had water and coffee at all times. Just wish they had a full length body mirror in the room. Kitchen was great. Beds were great. I would stay here again. Oh and I love that they have smart TVs.

We stayed here for a weekend tournament and the amenities, staff and breakfast were excellent!! We are definitely adding TownePlace Suites for our next stay.

Simple good hotel for business or longer stays.

Room was spacious, like the kitchenette, and shower ( hot water and good pressure). Fair daily parking rate, and room above us was noisy the first night. Sounded like a dog running around.

Breakfast was excellent. Very impressed with the choices and the taste of the food. Very clean and well stocked for all.

The breakfast was just ok. We ate it for a few days, then got tired of it. Should have more of a variety. Having the kitchen was very useful. When we checked it, the room was clean. We didn’t have our room cleaned, but housekeeping was very friendly and provided us with nothing we needed. The laundry room was so difficult to use without quarters. Front desk didn’t have quarters and tried using the QR code which didn’t work.

Give it up to Keanu at the front desk for exceptional customer service and making me and my family feel welcomed for our 4 day staycation. He honored my request for a decent view from our room and he even compt our parking fees with snacks for the kids. The room was clean, spacious for family of 4, and overall seemed in new condition. The breakfast has a good selection and dyi waffles was available for all 4 days that the kids loved. Property has a outdoor fire pit that we enjoyed on the last night and pool was also available. We will stay here again in on another future staycation. Tip: there are good asian restaurants and super markets 5 to 10 mins away due to proximity to convoy area.

My wife and I stayed here and had a great experience. The staff was wonderful and provided excellent service throughout our stay. The location is central and convenient, making it easy to get around. The environment was quiet and relaxed, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Our stay was generally pleasant, but I wanted to bring a specific issue to your attention regarding the room layout. The bathroom door in our unit did not have a lock, which proved to be quite inconvenient and difficult while sharing the space with my family and children. Privacy is a significant concern when traveling in a group, and the lack of a locking mechanism made the stay less comfortable than expected. I hope you consider adding locks to the bathroom doors to improve the experience for future guests traveling with families.

Eggs and breads are fresh. Coffee is very good. But there are not many varieties. Banana is only 1 type of fruit. Lobby and room look nice. But air is very unfreshed especially in the gym or in the bedroom especially when AC is on. I see a few , myself and a staff, coughing when AC is on. The room got worked on only once every 2 days.

Our stay was cut before it started by a maintenance issue. The hotel staff found us a room at Hilton and paid for it. That place was nice, but not great.

Clean room. Elevator was broken when we arrived. Had to carry our luggage up to our rooms. Staff checking us in not very friendly or apologetic about the broken elevator.

The rooms are mid sized, the kitchen and hallway closet does take up quite a bit of space. The way the tv was placed was a bit inconvenient. It was too close to the bathroom and we ended up walking into the edge of it a few times. For the price you pay it is decent hotel to stay at.

I was not aware that the rooms did not receive daily housekeeping. We came back after a long day. Beds unmade. No clean towels. Big disappointment.

After all that, I was told a manager would call me to address the situation — but no one ever reached out, even after I followed up. It’s frustrating to be promised a call and never hear back, especially after such a poor stay. The front desk staff at night was kind and did remove my parking fee, but overall the lack of cleanliness and communication was really disappointing. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it until management takes cleanliness and guest concerns more seriously.

Great service and the continental breakfast was amazing! Their mini waffles were so good. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The fridge and microwave came in handy as well. We walked about 5 minutes to a cute restaurant for dinner one day and then walked the neighborhood. It’s a chill quiet area if you’re looking to be away from the city noise but close enough that you can be in Balboa Park within 20 min. Great place and would stay here again.

The staff was friendly, and the room was nice and clean. The only issues that I had which I didn't notify the staff was that I saw four small roaches in my bathroom on four different occasions. Also, the parking lot spaces are tight. It was hard to get in and out of my rental because the spaces were smaller than typical.

TownePlace Suites by Marriott San Diego Central is a extra clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The rooms include full kitchens, the staff is friendly, and the location is quiet. Great value with nice amenities like a heated pool, gym, and free breakfast. Highly recommended!

We had a room with no working AC and we had to sleep with the window open and luckily they had a fan that we can use. We slept in a 80 degree room. As we were getting ready in the mirnjng we were sweating. Thankfully, we had no medical issues. We are hoping to get a FULL refund!

Full of ants in my room

Breakfast included had a good variety. Pool was clean and not too cold. Room was very clean.

The experience was quite unfortunate. We made almost 4 room changes in one day because of the conditions and ultimately had to change hotels. First night found a hotel in the bathroom. Switched rooms and then there was a musky moldy smell. Then the next room had a leaking A/C unit that made the carpet soaked.

The free breakfast in the morning was fine, but just fine. A very small area, crowded with people and little options. Coffee in both areas was out. Our room was very tiny. So small in fact that the bathroom door when opened, almost hit the side of the bed. Walk in shower was dirty and appeared to not be clean. No pillows for pull out couch bed. Found large hair ball and stains in hallway outside of our room. Very subpar and lacking in the rooms, cleanliness and comfort area.

Comfortable bed, and we liked having a fridge, microwave, and stovetop in the room. Staff were excellent! They made our stay wonderful! Nice breakfast spread, but I wish they had more gluten free options. It was far from downtown (about 20 min), but uber came quickly, so it was easy to go back and forth with Uber. Overall, a very pleasant stay, and I highly recommend it!

We booked a double queen and got a single queen with a very uncomfortable sofa bed. For this, i was given 4,000 points towards another stay.... which i think is about 1-2 nights. The carpet in the room was horrible. There was no safe in the room which i usually use to secure my off duty pistol. I absolutely hated that the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work. Customer service there was good.... not great, but good. They helped as much as they could. The breakfast was great.

The staff was so friendly to my dog and I. I've never experienced a place like this. I wish I could live here. I'll be booking my next stay here when I come back to San Diego to visit my family.

Quiet and clean

My first time experience at Towneplace Suites was wonderful!. The staff at the San Diego Central were very kind, knowledgeable and caring as I requested early check-in due to traveling with elderly family members. The rooms were excellent it fit our needs and wants. The continental breakfast was great!, the hotel was very clean and the pool was just the cherry on top as my son had incredible time. I so glad I booked this hotel wonderful family memories were made. Thank you you to the whole entire staff, it was such a pleasure staying I would definitely book again

Good place to be , nice and quiet

Really good place

Not what I was expecting. The property looks nice and lobby staff was very nice. Head up, parking is not free, you need to pay an additional $20 per pass. Room condition was dirty when we arrived. Breakfast was average and staff was quick to replenish things as they ran out. The room amenities such as phone not working, curtains not being able to go down, used wipes and food from previous stayer were unsettling. Luckily we only stayed for one night for an event. I was shocked though when someone from the property reached out via email with an apology about the condition of the property. I still don’t think I’ll be staying here again, especially with my kids as there was also a party crowd on the floor above us that was a little loud at night if you know what I mean.

Unless the parking ($15/night) charge, the stay was pleasant. Breakfast was good as the menu changes every day.

A great hotel and staff. I regret that I didn't get everyone's name to reward them praise. I will say that Albert from early Wed morning (3/26/25) made fantastic coffee. It got me on my way for my 6am flight back home.

This place is almost perfect except sometimes they use a bit too much volatile solvent cleaning solutions in the lobby area. It can smell quite strong.

Property says included EV charger and when we arrived they had one and then charged us for it. Plus parking! We booked the hotel for the Ev charger quite disappointed. You can’t list it as amenity and then charge for it. Has a pool listed are they going to charge $10?

It was great. Very friendly front desk. Everyone was very nice. The room was very clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was very good. We plan on staying here again. The housekeeper helped us with our room key. She was very nice.

Additionally, the was a parking fee to park in the uncovered, non-gated, and unsecured parking lot in front of the hotel. This is also unacceptable.

The hotel staff was wonderful, especially Paula the general manager. I had an issue with my dishwasher and she called for someone right away. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was amazing. My kids and I had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!

The hotel was amore than expected but with a couple little issues. I didn't expect a full sized refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave which was a huge plus. The room was very clean and smelt good. Very modern styling and comfortable atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff at front desk. My only issue was the bathroom door. It does not close all the way leaving a quarter to half inch gap that can been seen through. The door is opaque glass with slight transparency, if close to glass your body can be seen, so basically it's a privacy issue with the bathroom. The bathroom also has no fan which is no good. My other issue was that breakfast ends at 9am. They should push this till 10am. 9am is too early for this, some people like me eat at this time. Other than that I highly recommend this hotel. I have stayed here before at different location and was really happy with it.

Fabulous weeklong stay at thia property....very clean and safe area. Only criticism is make sure you dont stay out too late if you have a car because people tend to double park and itll be a tight squeeze to park.

Super hôtel. Chambre récentes, super spacieuses. Plus grandes que d’autres chambres de la même chaînes. Belle cuisine super bien équipée. Grands espaces , ultra propre. Nous étions 4 et loin de se marcher sur les pieds. Grand garde robe avec système de rangement. Grande salle de bain. Décor luxueux avec beaucoup de détail. Je recommande fortement cet hôtel super bien situé à moins de 20 minutes de toutes les attractions de San Diego. La piscine et les espaces communs extérieurs avec la possibilité d’y faire du BBQ ont été très appréciés. Le stationnement est 15$ mais il y a du stationnement gratuit sur la rue en face.

Booked here for the weekend and really enjoyed our stay. Employees were All so kind and helpful with whatever we needed. From the Front Desk help to house keeping. Pool was nice and clean. They have BBQ grills that you can use and cooking utensils. I would stay here next time I’m in San Diego for sure.

It was exactly what we needed. Very close to the Snapdragon stadium. Had complementary water anytime of the day. Very clean, staff was amazing and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again.

Our family stayed here for 6 nights. The breakfast was good. Clean hotel. Was worried about noise because it is close to airport and highway, but didn't hear anything! Could barely hear neighors too (upstairs) - can hear a little when someone is passing by in the hallways and speaking loudly but otherwise, quiet! Staff is nice and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and I would recommend this hotel for a central location to the tourist attractions in San Diego.

it was very bad, the room not clean and since we arrived the room we found alot of ants and my son was bitten many times,the sofa bed was very bad it is not comfortable at all and we couldn't sleep on it and the room is very very tight.

Great 3 night stay. Room was large enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. Beds were very comfortable. Room was clean. House keeping was only everyother day unless you required it. Breakfast buffet had lots of choices and tasted good. The pool looked good but we didnt have time to use it. There were also gas grills for all to use. Only negative was a surprise $ 15 a night parking fee that was not advertised on the app. It was stated on the website but I used the app.

We unfortunately had a less than ideal experience due to noise issues. During our stay the rooms above ours were extremely noisy, making it very difficult for us to rest.

Ok so it was good overall. Staff was super friendly, including cleaning staff, we felt very welcomed! Loved the free breakfast, the eggs looked iffy and watered down but everything else was good. Didn’t like that there was no black out curtains so the whole night the light from Sharp building was shinning on my face. There is only 1 face mirror in the bathroom, no stand or any other mirrors. The TV is positioned in a weird area away from bed and couch. We stayed in a 1 king studio. Everything seemed very clean tho, so that’s always a plus

Wasn’t to pleased when the day of my flight the hotel emailed me and told me the room I booked was no longer available and they were up grading me to a bigger room. Didn’t wanna make a fuss but I was very disappointed.
