The Pearl Hotel is a stylish and cozy boutique hotel with excellent customer service and a fun environment. Guests love the mid-century modern design, comfortable beds, and delicious food at the restaurant. However, some guests have experienced issues with their rooms, such as noisy beds or malfunctioning air conditioners, and others have found the hotel to be overpriced for the amenities offered.

Beautiful Hotel. Enjoyed the stay.

Small hotel, attention to detail and design. Parachute linens and Aesop products were surprise perks! Room was a bit humid. We didn’t get to try out the food/drink options on-site because they were closed (Memorial Day).
- 5/5
Great style, clean place, and great location.
- 5/5
More parking especially on pool movie nights - maybe not allow the attendees to have hotel parking and monitor those who do park - two open spaces but not able to use them due to poor parking by movie night guests in the other spots
- 4.5/5
The design aesthetic was great, and the food at Ponyboy was amazing. Definitely coming back Stairs were a bummer with 3 large bags prior to going on an extended trip, but all else was great.
- 3.5/5
Staff is absolutely phenomenal, engaging, attentive, friendly and responsive. Rooms are very small. Parking is horrible. food is yummy, restaurant and bar great. I will return. parking was very limited and the room was like a shoebox

Great hotel, good soap, very nice staff, fun pool!
- 5/5
A cozy and cute place to stay at for short or long term. It is a vibrant environment with lively music and nice place to eat. The rooms are comfortable and decorated with mid-century modern furniture, which is great. I highly recommend if you are interested in a nice, trendy place that is comfortable and vibrant. The staff is amazing and very helpful.

Beautiful & clean room. Comfortable bed. We love staying at The Pearl.

great location, movies over the pool each night and friendly helpful staff
- 4/5
Loved the retro architecture. Staff was great and took good care of us. Parking extremely limited. Swimming pool was closed. The restaurant was closed two of the nights we were there. The rooms were good. The bed was comfy. Location was great.

Wonderful staff. Richard, Kenneth and Ray all added a lot to our stay. Kind attitudes and authentic hospitality. I like a fitness center, and unfortunately this property doesn’t have one, but it does have a nice saltwater pool.

Enjoyed the bar, restaurant and movie night. Great ambience and vibe! Would have been nice to have in room coffee/tea. Hotel provided coffee/tea downstairs, but not until 7:00 am.

Nothing I did not like.
- 5/5
The vibes and aesthetic Although I was able to get parking, parking seemed limited.
- 5/5
Everything is ez not up tight
- 5/5
The hotel is a cute vintage style place that was quite charming. The room was simple but well appointed - and spotless. I booked this as they had a restaurant but it was closed, so if that is important to you, you might inquire further. There are a few restaurants within a few blocks radius. I would stay again for sure - as a tourist. For just an airport hotel, I would go with something else - due to no in-room coffee, no breakfast included and no airport shuttle. But those things are just my preferences - the hotel was great and staff was polite.
- 4/5
If you need to go to bed before 10pm, it may not be the best place to stay. The bar/restaurant is pretty loud until 10ish.
- 5/5
The hotel was clean and neat.
- 5/5
Great rooms! Staff is super friendly.

- 5/5
Very nice and cozy. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
Aesop products, delicious bed and great decor. The staff was so incredibly nice and awesome.
- 4/5
Room was nice and clean. The staff was friendly. I was able to walk to coffee places and restaurants. My daughter attends PLNU, so it was a quick drive to campus. Street parking was easy. The restaurant and bar had a great vibe.
- 5/5
Amazing staff! Cute, updated rooms and fun bar.
- 4/5
Everything was nice, walls are very thin so you hear anyone walking around. Traffic noise is loud but didn’t bother us, it was white noise. Looks like the have a cool restaurant, but it’s closed on Sunday and Monday. Not sure why it’s closed on a Sunday. Great location.
- 4/5
The hotel is cool, nice design, clean, friendly staff, amazing bar and restaurant. The only reason I am giving 4 instead of 5 is the street noise level. Windows are old and not sound proof at all. Hard to sleep without earplugs
- 4/5
The room was aesthetically pleasing and spacious. Nice bathroom with tons of hot water. Enjoyed the deep bathtub. Toilet paper holder was broken and the throw pillows were old and tired - could use a refresh. The sofa felt grime and dirty. Bed was super comfortable. Great location however you could hear the street traffic, so if you are a light sleeper…..it might not be the place for you. Yes there is a pool however “heated” is a bit of a stretch. Plus, you have to walk through the restaurant to get to the pool which was awkward. And then you feel like people are staring at you as the tables surround the pool. Odd. Staff was lovely. We would stay here again.
- 4/5
Nice room, clean hotel. The pool created an unique ambiance in combination with the retro vibes
- 4/5
I was able to check in to my room early and the front desk person was very accommodating. Great proximity to the piers and walk to coffee. The room was adorable but was showing wear & could use some upkeep in a few places (bathroom door warping). Overall definitely worth the value and then design is mid-century mod and totally a vibe! The restaurant Ponyboy on-site is quaint and adorable and the staff was amazing. Food - banging.
- 5/5
Clean room. Nice restaurant/bar. Parking easy.
- 4/5
Overall the rooms are comfortable and the hotel has a nice aesthetic. Room was clean but some mold was visible in the bathroom because of poor ventilation. The bar was closed which was unfortunate but understandable given the new year. The location is great with nearby food options and coffee, and the staff are friendly.
- 3/5
Bathroom ceiling had black spots that are consistent with mold
- 5/5
Clean and aesthetically pleasing room, super nice staff, amazing food at pony boy and drinks. Parking was a breeze. Can’t wait to come back
- 5/5
I had a wonderful stay at this property! The staff were exceptionally polite and accommodating, making everything feel easy and welcoming. The rooms were upgraded, clean, and very comfortable, and the overall property was well-maintained and stylish. I especially appreciated the complimentary bicycle rental—it made getting around so convenient and fun. Everything about my stay was excellent, and I would definitely return!
- 1/5
Only downside was the mattress we slept on. I got a little food stain on the sheets and out of courtesy, removed the bedding on checkout day only to find horrific stains all over the mattress. Not sure what bodily fluids, or what substance it was that we slept on for two days. Woke up feeling sick and a very sore throat. From now on I will always check the mattress I lay on my head on for the duration of my stay anywhere.
- 5/5
Aesop in the room, was unexpectedly.
- 5/5
What an amazing hotel. Richard was phenomenal. He was very welcoming and knowledgeable of the establishment and the area. The restaurant at the hotel Ponyboy was incredible also. I highly recommend staying at The Pearl. What a gem. There’s a pool at the center and a big screen with movies playing during dinner and drinks. I loved staying there. I’ll be back.
- 5/5
Lovely spot would stay again
- 5/5
Everything was perfect, A much recommended place for people going on a trip to SD. I can’t forget the super comfy bed and pillows, The wife loved them !!
- 4/5
Charming retro hotel. Reasonably updated amenities, clean room, on site restaurant.
- 5/5
I appreciated the simple design of the room, which included real plants and local art. They made efforts to be sustainable. I enjoyed the deep bathtub and the scent of the provided bodywash. The bar and restaurant downstairs was fantastic. When we had an issue with parking, they comped both days for the inconvenience. The aesthetic of the Pearl felt like we were stepping back in time. We also got to enjoy their poolside trivia night.
- 1/5
The booking was advertised as free breakfast. On both days we asked and were told it was only coffee available-I also checked before arriving and confirmed that one free breakfast item and hot drink per person would be available. Since nothing was provided this is serious misadvertising. We had a family room, sofa bed not even made up, had to ask for it to be made. No housekeeping at that time so receptionist came to make the bed, when unfolding the bed, sheets were already on it which looked used. We had to ask for a duvet. Main bed felt really dirty to sleep in. Loud music and noise from pony boy restaurant every night. Staff were very sweet and courteous- if it wasn’t for them we would have complained. Pretty awful experience, would not recommend!
- 3/5
Unfortunately the hotel didn’t live up to our expectations. The room looked pretty and was comfortable, but it smelt terrible and the bathroom was in poor condition. As other reviews suggest, the noise is really something to consider before staying here. Our room was near the bar, and we could hear all the conversations of the restaurant guests, often past midnight (we aren’t super light sleepers either). Great location however!
- 5/5
Cute motel in a great area. Friendly staff
- 5/5
Small menu but great food. Super relaxing environment. So close to Liberty Station!
- 4/5
The hotel was in a great location. Close to good dining options and walkable activities to include morning coffee. Only complaint was the bed- way too soft , so a bit rough waking up. But small complaint compared to the other amazing things the hotel had such as the downstairs restaurant Ponyboy.
- 5/5
The Pearl is such a sweet hidden gem, and the new vibe with restaurant and bar just Awesome
- 5/5
Truly amazing staff at a very groovy little boutique hotel with food at night that is surprisingly good.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
Excellent little restaurant/bar, Ponyboy. The vibes were vibing. Thank you, Pearl and staff!
- 4/5
Also, Hotels.com says that they have free breakfast at this hotel - they do not.
- 5/5
Very enjoyable place to stay. Great vibe. Good food and drinks.
- 5/5
We loved our stay at The Pearl.
- 2/5
Our room was damp. There was no extra lock on the siding glass door and we were on the street level. Blood on the pillowcase. No extra washcloths. Few hangers and no drawers. No refrigerator or in room coffee. Not enough space around the bathroom sink to unpack a travel kit. It was really uncomfortable for an 8 day stay.
- 5/5
Great place. Neat and clean. Support staff are really helpful
- 5/5
Cute boutique hotel with a 60's vibe. It was nice to have an option for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We only ate dinner there one night and it was good. Limited parking but we always seemed to find a spot. The price per night was fair.
- 5/5
Wonderful place to stay! Great restaurant, great service, it’s very intimate as there are only 20 something rooms, you’ll feel like you’ve made friends with the staff by the end of your stay. The only thing I’d like to mention is that if you plan to have a car, reserve a parking space ahead of time with your reservation. Parking can be hard to find especially on weekends and holidays. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family!
- 5/5
Nice 👍
- 5/5
The hotel bar was the highlight of this property. The service was fantastic. We also really enjoyed the pool. The surrounding area is very walkable and offers plenty of food and drink options as well as great views of the marina. My only issue was that our bed was not very comfortable.
- 4/5
Such a cute place, great design absolutely love the vibe. The bar is hopp’n very busy right by the pool giving pool party into the night. They have a big screen above the pool where the bar restaurant faces where they played a movie. Its a small hotel so it was definitely louder than Id prefer for a Wednesday night.
- 3/5
I stayed here thinking it would be great since they advertised it was free breakfast. I was traveling with my 3 kids and so finding a place with free breakfast was important. Upon checking in, I was told there was no free breakfast and only a paid menu. I ordered from the menu and my daughter said the breakfast sandwhich was definitely a frozen jimmy dean. $8 for that! Then later that day I asked if we can use the free bikes. To our suprise all 4 bikes were not working. The air conditioning wasnt working well, bathroom fan took 10 minutes to even work. I wont stay here again. Im very dissapointed. oh and they had the nerves to charge $20 a night for parking when the streets was free. So we took advantage of FREE parking on the streets
- 5/5
This hotel
- 3/5
Cute hotel, very 60's.. nice decor. Super comfy beds. Only downfalls were, no elevator. So if you have a heavy suitcase, be prepared to drag it up the stairs. Other thing. They had very limited parking and still charges $20 to park there. Over all it was decent hotel.
- 5/5
Our stay at the Pearl was incredible! I highly recommend booking for your stay in San Diego. The hotel is very nice, giving a late 20th century road trip motel vibe, without the dirtiness. They keep everything very clean, and the breakfast is great! Very friendly staff, affordable for its location, and we would stay again.
- 4/5
I found the hotel very comfortable however, the noise from both the poolside bar crowd and the street was disturbing. I had to wear earplugs to sleep.
- 5/5
Everyone was very nice
- 5/5
Check in was easy and the desk clerk was very nice. The room was very clean. I like that it is a very small property. Dinner was good. The breakfast was fresh and light. Will be making another trip to San Diego in a few months and will be staying here again.
- 4/5
The restaurant was great! Staff were very nice and helpful!
- 3/5
.
- 5/5
the place is awesome friendly staff
- 5/5
Very cute hotel, super fun watching the movie projected while having dinner
- 2/5
The main attraction here is the restaurant. The hotel just exists around it. The restaurant plays music on a big screen and seats people around the pool. This means noise from people, music , movies gies on late into the night. Major drawback to staying here. Frint desk personnel not particularly friendly or helpful
- 5/5
Retro, boutique type property. Wonderful, friendly staff. Limited parking, poor late night access to rooms. Card access would be appropriate similar to what other hotel properties have. A shelf for toiletries, hook on the bathroom door would be nice. Breakfast options were fresh fruits, bagels, yogurt, toppings (granola, seeds, chia, etc) fresh juices and coffee provided. Pony Boy restaurant very good, and golden hour for wine, cocktails and a good variety of appetizers. Nostalgic, we enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
The Pearl Hotel in San Diego is a charming and stylish boutique hotel that offers a unique and memorable stay. Our room was thoughtfully designed and well-appointed, featuring a comfortable bed that made for a great night’s sleep. The staff were well-trained, professional, and genuinely attentive, making us feel welcomed throughout our stay. One of the standout features is the popular happy hour, which attracts both guests and locals with great drinks and a lively, relaxed atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would definitely visit again.
- 4/5
A grab bar would be great for stepping in and out of the deep soaking tub. Loved watching Gilligan’s Island and Gumby on all of the screens instead of sports. Loved swizzle stick with a pearl on i
- 5/5
Incredible boutique hotel with luxe bed and bath, organic and chic, 10/10
- 4/5
Nice little motel. Great bar area with happy hour. Included breakfast was limited but nice. Service was a little lax when we required towels and sheets for the sofa bed. Limited parking but there is usually street parking. Not far to walk to some nice restaurants.
- 2/5
Not as advertised, a bit dated and poorly kept
- 3/5
I loved the vibe of this hotel, however going M-W, the restaurant and bar was not available, so that was a bummer. The overall experience was good. My room was a bit dusty and the upstairs people were super loud and a dog was barking (not the hotel’s fault). I would try staying again to experience the restaurant and movie night by the pool.
- 5/5
Excellent stay!! The food looked amazing, wish I had time to have a meal but it was a quick trip for me. The cocktail I had was refreshing; the room was lovely. Breakfast was not much but it was great for someone looking for something light and on the healthier side. The overall vibe was chill, just what I needed.
- 4/5
23 rooms, only 10 reserved parking spaces, first come. No fridge in room. On very busy street, noisy. Staff was friendly and very helpful.
- 2/5
My wife felt threatened everywhere on the property.
- 5/5
Small room but it had everything the two of us needed! Food within a short walk too!
- 5/5
Such a unique and clean property and all the staff was super nice and helpful!
- 5/5
Really beautifully done hotel, exceptional clean, and great atmosphere!
- 5/5
Lovely stay
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. Cool old hotel but beautifully updated..
- 5/5
I would recommend this hotel, it was super clean and comfortable. Stayed with some friends and we felt safe the entire time. Super eco friendly as well!!
- 5/5
Super cute place. romms are adorable. Breakfast was superb! Wish they had mini fridges in the room tho. Everything else was 10/10.
- 4/5
Bonito restaurante y alberca. Nos tocó una habitación en el piso de arriba, no hay elevador ni ayuda. Teníamos varias maletas por lo que fue complicado.
- 5/5
Really clean rooms, up to date boho feel, warm pool, restaurant onsite, centrally located to great local food, mikes seafood, smoothie shop, and downtown if needed. breakfast is included (even the breakfast had great attention to detail) and easy street parking. I will definitely make this my Point Loma hotel, if I need to stay here. It’s not a five diamond resort, but if you’re looking for a quick escape from the kids with the wife, a quick two day trip to pint loma, or in business here. I would highly recommend this place.
- 5/5
staff was really friendly and room was clean and cute :)
- 5/5
Loved my stay here, I’m definitely coming back sometime soon.
- 5/5
Excellent hotel. Only disadvantage is that there was no elevator.
- 4/5
Very charming property. The bar/restaurant felt considered and not a bland generic hotel dining. The screening of old films over the pool was a cool touch. However my room needed some TLC. Paint was peeling on the ceiling, sink ceramic was chipped off, and my room smelled like I was on a small house boat meaning it smelled and felt damp.
- 5/5
Unique property, quaint rooms, boutique
- 5/5
No comment. Just go experience this wonderful hotel. 10\10
- 2/5
Super rundown room with basic service
- 5/5
great experience overall - decent room size with all facilities; great staff; cute and modern decors around that make it cozy and chill. Parking is easy and safe in the neighborhood. Walkable distance to quite a few dining places.
- 5/5
Beautiful stay in an amazing place. Exceptional!!!
- 5/5
Very cute!
- 5/5
One overnight stay, we will be back.
- 4/5
The breakfast was good, just not what we were expecting. On our way to the bar, we passed by a chef carrying a massive plate of pork that smelled amazing and then we had chia seed pudding...we were missing the bacon and eggs. I did like the pudding and there were bagels, fruit and juices available. The beds are so soft and comfy so if you need a stiffer mattress, this is not the hotel for you. Every hotel in this city makes you pay for parking. Just include it in the price and you'll be the only hotel in the area not getting poor reviews because of the upcharge. Overall, it was a cool hotel and we had a nice stay.
- 5/5
Great place!
- 4/5
Problem was that this hotel offers a dinner experience below the room. It was very, very loud. A birthday celebration had screaming, well loud birthday singing which we found annoying. Breakfast : 2nd day stay- bagels which is the big breakfast offering hadn't been delivered- desk clerk was cold and didn't seem to care. Since, the hotel has a restaurant go in the back and put out some bread for toast ( problem solved) . My guy went across to Winchell's, we enjoyed morning donuts. Location: great location and area.
- 4/5
The room was very nice and clean. It’s cool how the the Hotel is renovated to the good old days of the 60’s-70’s. We will be back.
- 3/5
Upon checking in, we were greeted by a super friendly but super sweaty staff member. It was hot in the lobby, why not have it air conditioned when the sliding glass doors are closed? The pool was cute but so cold, IN AUGUST! Wouldn’t it be nice to have a heated pool that can be used year round? We heard great reviews about the restaurant, so we decided to head on down around 4 30 pm. We were greeted by a man who asked if we had a reservation. We said no? So he told us to find a spot at the bar or lobby. There was no space so we went back to the room to figure out something else. We went on OpenTable and realized there was a 4 45 pm reservation available. We went down 5 minutes later and was seated by someone else. Why wouldn’t this gentleman just asked us to wait a few minutes and there would have been a table ready? Minor feedback but thing that would have affected the visit!
- 5/5
A great stay if you don’t mind a little road noise
- 1/5
When we got there the room felt like it hadn’t ever been properly swept or mopped. The floor was filthy. The bed comforter was extremely lumpy and bumpy and the bathroom towels were not fully cleaned. We were accommodated and received a free room upgrade and ended up mopping the room our self with a dollar tree mop in the new room. Light fixtures were extremely dusty that there was dust falling off onto the bed. Was told we wouldn’t be charged for parking or the room upgrade for the inconvenience and was charged anyway.
- 5/5
loved the boutique feel
- 3/5
Although the property was old and remolded, there was only 10 spots for parking which is not in the description. The resort fee is actually a parking fee for one of those spots which i was unable to obtain. The shower would not drain and the tub was still full when I checked out the next morning. Could have more outlets as everything needs charged today. The hot water was scolding hot and had a hard time adjusting to be able to take a shower.
- 3/5
The building is cute. They have a projector outside where the pool is and they host parties. However, they charged me $20 for breakfast even though I left hours before it was served.
- 5/5
Exceptional staff.
- 5/5
Super cute throwback boutique hotel. Incredible breakfast buffet and thoughtful evening menu. And movies above the pool! How gun is that! Walkable to local seafood markets, harbor and local spots. Will return.
- 5/5
Parking wasn’t free first come first serve still that makes no sense. Rooms don’t have fridges
- 4/5
Fun spot!
- 5/5
Comfy beds, unique theme / decor, yummy food, nice people.
- 5/5
The staff is just awesome. They take amazing care of you! Hotel is cute, with a pool and parking.
- 4/5
Good healthy continental breakfast. Only stayed one night so didn’t have time to use the pool. Looked nice.
- 5/5
Staff was lovely, so accommodating when we asked about things. Nice breakfast included. Good coffee too! We ate dinner at the restaurant and that was also fantastic, both food and service. Love the design of the room and the extras. Definitely would stay again.
- 5/5
Great renovation; lots of style; good breakfast.
- 5/5
Very cozy and welcoming mid-century modern design with a touch of bohemian + magic. Loved it! Excellent customer service and the breakfast was perfect!
- 5/5
Awesome bar and pool area!!
- 5/5
The pearl hotel is quite the experience. I enjoyed the aesthetic look and fun environment it provided.
- 5/5
Probably one of the best stays I’ve had in a long time. The bed is amazing and the stay is comfortable. I did have an issue with our first room but they were quick to fix it and upgrade me to a better room. Worth the stay if you’re just passing through.
- 5/5
Super cute boutique hotel. A block away from the harbor which was nice. The harbor had multiple dining options that we were able to walk to. Staff was nice and attentive. I would definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
it was a good place to stay for the night
- 5/5
We loved this hotel! Sitting by the pool with a glass of wine while the kids swam, having the restaurant on site and the uniqueness of the hotel made the experience. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
- 5/5
Cute little place with rooms all centered around the pool. The bar/restaurant is small, but cute and they make a fantastic dirty martini. Wish the bar were open before 4, but there's a liquor store literally a block away.
- 3/5
The service leaves a little something to be desired. It’s has such a great vibe, but the service doesn’t quite match. Also the shower bottles didn't pump well which was a little aggravating.
- 4/5
best hotel ever! i hate hate hate hotels and the stale environment of them. was desperately searching for a place (last minute) that would be available within the hour, but wouldn’t make me feel alienated from my comfort of home. ‘the pearl’ seemed to be my best bet, and boy did i find a gem!!! so lovely with their vintage vibe, while still remaining very clean and minimal. their soaps smell lovely, linens are so soft and comfortable, and the room very cozy. breakfast was very pleasant with clean eating options and lots of loose tea and juice options as well as their coffee. they seem to be very conscientious of their eco footprint and choose many sustainable options from toilet paper all the way to the type of fabrics they use. if i ever need a reason to book a hotel again they are most definitely my first pick!
- 3/5
Stay was ok overall but the bedding was stained and the internet connection was horrible, which made watching the smart tv difficult. Response from staff was good and they were very accommodating.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable. Excellent service.
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff. Wifi is a bit crap. Street is a bit noisy. But the hotel and its decor is adorable. The beds are super comfy. Great nearby dining options all within walking distance. Great neighborhood.
- 3/5
The two of us stayed one night at The Pearl Hotel for my husband’s race early Sunday morning. The location is close to a Better Buzz and some restaurants but the property is super small. There are only about 8-9 parking spots so if you don’t get to reserve one for $20/night upon check in, then you have to find parking around the neighborhood. The front desk employee was friendly. If you get a room on the bottom floor (there are 2 floors with outside access to each room) you have to walk thru a small area of the restaurant inside the hotel to get to your room. Not only do you have to walk thru the restaurant, but you have to maneuver all your luggage thru all the tables & chairs of the restaurant that are on the very small pool area. The bottom floor rooms are immediately next to crowded & loud pool area. You also have to slap some hanging swings away from you on your way to your room on the bottom floor because the walking area is so small. Do not stay here if you have kids or need to go to sleep early to be somewhere early in the morning. It almost felt like you are staying at a brothel at night from so many ppl on the very small property while being loud despite being right outside the rooms. If you are young and interested in partying then you might enjoy the atmosphere. The room was small but mostly clean. Bed is very low to the ground so it is hard to get out of it if you have any type of aches & pain. My husband and I are in our forties and were not comfortable here.
- 5/5
Cutest hotel of our 10-day roadtrip! Loved the vibe, it was clean and comfortable, and the area felt relatively safe. Parking is limited (~5 spots out front) so arrive early to take advantage of that. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Wish we would have had more time to enjoy the amenities like the restaurant/bar and pool area. The streetside rooms might be a bit nosier but had no issues in our room towards the back of the building. A lot of thought and style went into this boutique hotel, would definitely stay here again!

I love this place… it’s a safe, comfortable, small hotel with a boutique hotel vibes with impeccable decor, comfortable bed, clean bedding and super friendly staff , and the win… they have delicious and healthy options for breakfast and dinner !

I do have to say that if you’re staying here, bring earplugs because it’s on a loud street. I don’t mind it but it’s something to consider if you’re a light sleeper.

Pearl is another remake of the classic 60s motels and it looks great, clever use of space, etc. Welcoming ...hmmm. There's a $20 charge for WiFi ...not optional, which also includes ...coffee. Um, what? You want to park your car? That's another $20. I don't like these 'gotcha' charges on top of a rate that aren't disclosed at the time of reservation. Staff are nice yet when I called to ask about the extra fees was sent to anonymous voicemail and then when I left early the next morning had to go down the street to get a coffee. The guy at the desk was dead asleep.

Staff was great. They were able to get us into another room because of an issue with the air conditioner ( noisy). Beds are comfortable & vibe of hotel is amazing.

I did not enjoy that our patio/balcony was open to everyone and right on the staircase that everyone uses. Other than that we very much enjoyed our stay!
