The room smelled like mold, the walls were filthy and they have a carpeted walls that are horrible and it looks like people have put their feet all over. There is sandbags at the bottom of the door and they are filthy. We walked in and walked out and the manager wouldn’t refund us

This was my second stay here. Location is convenient for me for visiting family, but I also enjoyed walking along the harbor and Shelter Island paths which are nearby. The room was clean and spacious (I chose a deluxe king this time) and the neighborhood feels safe--great for a solo traveler. Onsite parking is reasonable and convenient. I will definitely book here again for my next visit!

We had an accessible room, which seemed to be larger than the rest. We did not request one, but since I'm 81, they might have decided it would be best. There is an inexpensive grocery store directly across the street where flaky custard tarts were 0.35 Euros and a one liter Coke Zero was 0.85 Euros,

Room was clean. Price was reasonable. Close to restaurants and Bars. Also close to the Landing if you are going on a 1 to 3 day fishing trip.

Clean and well maintained. It is a very active area for fishing. I felt safe the entire time, housekeeping everyday, and parking was easily available every time in their lot. Parking was $9 only so not too bad. Walking distance there’s a lot to see as well if you like strolling around.

The room was okay not so much clean the bed sheets had stains and the pillows but helpful staff, good air conditioning, free parking and the bathroom was clean you can see some stains here and there but it was okay

In addition, the telephone in the room did not work, and the wall air conditioning unit seemed to circulate air that also carried an unpleasant odor, which didn’t improve the overall experience. There is a bar across the street that was pretty loud until the late hours as well. While the location and basic setup were fine, the parking was easy and the staff was kind, I personally would not choose to stay here again due to the the smell during my stay.

I have stayed here several times and have found it to be very clean and comfortable.

The charm and modern feel stood out immediately. It felt clean, comfortable and welcoming, and we loved the atmosphere. It had a cozy feel while still feeling fresh and updated. Nothing major stood out to us. If anything, we just wish we had more time to enjoy the property and surrounding area.

The other guests and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

Pool not available for use. Room was on second level and I have mobility issues and we are both 79yrs old, trying to haul luggage up to the second floor as no elevator available. No help offered by front desk guy and he was not busy. No breakfast provided and his directions cause us to walk for 1/2 an hour before finding a restaurant. Not impressed with this motel

Was in the area for a wedding. This place was better located than the wedding reception. Very pedestrian friendly and located near Mitch’s seafood, good coffee shops, ice cream shop, etc. Also excellent service.

Rock hard bed- pretty sure it was a literal box spring. Barely got any sleep on it. Young guy working the front desk had zero customer service skills, was rude, and went out of his way to be unhelpful. What a joke.

However I was charged for the room even though I had already paid via Expedia. I paid twice and need a refund. PLEASE RESPOND. I PAID TWICE. NEED A REFUND.

Stayed on Thursday in spring. Super convenient to stay at if you have an early fishing trip. Very clean. No loud people. Parking was a little tight if you have a truck but that didn’t bother me much. 5/5 stars!

Our only issue I would list is that the parking spots were narrow, But we would definitely stay there again.

Security. I was worried about my jeep getting my accessories stolen but the receptionist notified me that there was security at night.

The property is older, but pretty well kept. Rooms were clean. Excellent location. Only problem was they need to get new mattresses.

Overall, I would say 3 1/2 to 4 stars for the whole experience of staying here. They have redone the inside of the rooms but could use a little more work. Staff is a five out of five they are awesome parking was small and tight so no big trucks recommended but overall experience was five out of five ACs work great they are mini splits, newer, and installed.

The property was good and surrounded by restaurants nearby. We were in room 104 right by the front desk. Employees need to remember talking early in the morning right outside the front desk we can hear there whole conversation. So next time we'll request a room away from the front desk. But other then that our stay was okay.

Bed was a bit soft. Nice tray of seashells and Dove chocolates was offered. Condition of room was a little bit run down but functionally adequate. Location was very convenient (20 minutes) to the airport.

Location is excellent! Parking onsite for a small fee. Room was neat and clean. Water slow to drain in the sink but ok. Staff was very helpful. Pool area is well maintained. A little noisy at night as it is right off the bay and there is always a lot of activity but we didn’t mind.

Great location for the price of the stay. Wifi was unsecured so never connected to it but other then that, had a very good stay.

Also want to mention staff was wonderful when we left an item behind - they helped get it back to us.

Bed was SUPER soft. Not my personal preference but clean room and cold air conditioning made it easy to sleep.

We liked the location--close to the harbor, Liberty Station and Mission Bay. Parking was easily available close to our room and parking fee was reasonable ($10/day). Room was pretty basic but clean and had everything we needed. Property is very close to the airport, but we weren't bothered by the noise. They do provide earplugs, but we didn't need them; I think the A/C acts as white noise. My only complaint is that there wasn't a lot of table space--we brought in breakfast and had to eat it on the bed. All in all, I would definitely stay here again.

AC didn’t work. There is a night club across the street that’s was busy until after 11 on a Wednesday night.

The problem with this property is not the property- It’s the bar across the street and not the airport. EDM bass all night long til1:30am. If you expect any sleep you might want to reconsider. Convenient to a lot of attractions walking distance great food. Too bad people are so inconsiderate. Also they were doing light work- nail gun all afternoon in the fence. Bummer!

The hotel itself is actually a gem. 2 story wood fram circa 1960, refurbished to modern standards except elevator. Inside amenities are modern clean and spacious great stay for being close to SD Marina.

We were given the worst room in the hotel. Lots of noise, no view, garbage bags thrown around outside our door. The bar across the street is super noisy late into the night. Do yourself a favor and stay at The Pearl close by.

Good place to stay for convenient restaurants and bars. Right by the Marina for boat excursions and fishing. Reasonable room rates.

We were assigned one of the worst rooms on the property, located directly behind the office. As a result, we could hear every guest checking in and out, as well as the maintenance crew being extremely loud throughout our stay. Additionally, the guests in the room above us had children running around early in the morning, and we even received prank calls from them. When I requested a room change, I was told the only available option was an upstairs room directly next to the same noisy family, which we understandably declined. The room itself was poorly maintained. The TV and the air conditioning/heating unit did not work. The bed was very uncomfortable and felt comparable to an air mattress. The bathroom lacked a window for ventilation and had a persistent sewer-like odor. Both the room and bathroom appeared to have received a rushed “landlord special” with subpar cosmetic fixes rather than proper upkeep. Overall, this stay did not meet even basic standards for comfort or quality, and we would not recommend this property.

Hate giving bad reviews. The BEDS in this place become a big lump & cause back ache. Have stayed here twice but time to look around⁉️

The location of this property is excellent!... easy walking distance to many restaurants and the harbor. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds were especially comfortable. The air conditioning was not working properly and I let the front desk know.. it needs a little updating up for the price and location. It's a good deal.

Unfortunately, when I returned to my room after midnight (a ground-floor king kitchenette suite), the smell of mold and mildew inside the room was overwhelming. It was so strong that I had trouble breathing and ended up coughing so violently I was throwing up . Had I arrived earlier, I would have requested a different room or moved to another hotel altogether. This could be a really lovely place, but the mold/mildew odor issue definitely needs to be mitigated addressed. I got no sleep hma with the smell, but it made the room unusable for me.

The staff was very kind, and the location was fantastic! The only downside was the cleanliness of the room. The room was absolutely filthy. The blankets, pillows, and sheets were all stained when I arrived (the staff was kind enough to change them all for me), the floors were so dirty that they made my feet black and I had to scrub the floors with about 3 hand towels just for it to be somewhat better. The mini fridge leaked and the shower was rimmed with pink and black mold. Everything else was great though!

This is one of the Nicest, Clean, well stocked, organized and Friendly places I have EVER stayed- it was FABULOUS!!

There is a bar across the street and behind the property so you have noise coming from both directions. Hotel needs updating. If you are a walker Liberty Station about 2 miles.No bike rental so walk or drive.

We had a regular hotel room. The space was well designed and comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The rooms must be soundproofed, because it was quiet even though we were there on weekend nights. I'd recommend Sea Harbor Hotel to anyone looking for a clean, quiet room at a great value in San Diego.

Perfect for my one night stay. Room was clean and staff was friendly. Parking was easy. Close to lots of food options. The bed was very soft and lumpy which did not make for a very comfortable night, so that was really the only downside.

Our room was on the lower floor right at the staircase, so we did have a little noise from people coming and going, so if that would bother you I would request a different area, maybe a second floor away from the stairs. If you are looking for an affordable option in San Diego, we would recommend, we will definitely return!

Close to fishing

Needed a room close to the airport and the affordability and renovations appealed to me. Right in front of the marina- you have scenic walks to enjoy and plenty of restaurants to choose from. I love the coffee in the morning at the brewery directly behind the hotel. Staff was nice and easy to deal with.

Upon arrival I was given a room that was uninhabitable. The room had a strong smell of cigar smoke that burned my throat. I asked the Counter staff as well the maintenance person to come to the room. Both admitted that the room smelled strong smell of cigar and it burned their throats as well. I asked and was assigned another room that was better and did not have the smell of smoke.

Arrived early from a long drive and they had no problem getting us in a room right away. That was awesome considering how tired we were. The location is supurb and the the room and the pool were very clean. Its an older building but has been well maintained.

The rooms are updated with newer flooring, art, furniture and bathroom fixtures. We had the room with kitchenette and I highly recommend it due to the extra window with nice view, and much larger room size. The kitchen appliances were new, clean and worked perfectly.

Such a nice location. Easy way to be away from the hustle and bustle but, close enough to get anywhere. Walking distance to a lot we wanted to see. Perfect for a little get away.

I stayed there to be close to the airport, and it worked out great. Check in and check out was easy, staff was friendly. The room is definitely 2 stars but clean. Proximity to airport warrants the cost of the room, but I would not recommend for an extended stay.

Clean room. Cute decor. They had an actual fridge in the room... bonus points for that! Close to many places to eat and a nice walkable area at the harbor. But, our view room had a a view of the parking lot with a sliver of a view of the harbor and that was a bummer. It was a great location and a good price considering that! I would recommend this place for sure... and the bar across the street was another bonus since most places on the harbor closed early.

It is a Motel. Not Hotel. Then the price is hight. Beth tub without a bar is easy to fall. For safety matter, and update code. it needs to improves a little.

It looked clean but had a musty smell. Was conveniently located close to the airport after my flight was cancelled and I needed a place to sleep for one night. Area seemed fairly safe. Bed was clean and comfortable.

The room was clean and pretty well laid out. The bathroom was a little on the small side, but I realize it is an older property. If I could add anything to the room it would be a small microwave, small dresser and a chair. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Humidity was a bit of an issue, but probably to be expected that close to the ocean.

It is a very nice hotel, that is in a noisy location next to commercial jets, but it was very clean & it would be great to use ear plugs for sleeping

I checked into the room and within 20 minutes a large red larvae type of bug appeared in the bathroom, i grabbed my belongings to leave and tell the front desk and wasnt offered a different room or a solution, so i asked for a refund, this property also is more of a motel than it is a hotel, you can easily access the front doors from outside. they are not enclosed.

Stayed one night while dropping my son off at college. Bathroom was small, but everything was nice. Very good value. Staff was great. it is only a few blocks away from a couple of our favorite food places (the best acai bowls at Northside Shack and lunch at Mitch's Seafood)

Sea Harbor has a retro-conversion vibe that was both well-appointed and clean. The pool was enjoyable to sit beside and clean to swim in despite its streetside location. They did a really nice job tucking it away from the bustle of Scott St. Our poolside room turned out to be the best view IMO, as the "harborside" view has a restaurant and delivery truck parking area to obscure what I thought would be the better reservation side initially. The parking lot didn't have a lot of breathing room, but it seemed like everybody just made things work. Great deal.

I ♥️ STAYING IN THIS HOTEL ANDVAREA. I FIND IT PEACEFUL AND ROMANTIC. THIS IS OUR 4TH YEAR STAYING HERE. WE ARE PLANNING A ROMACTIC 40TH ANNIVERSARY IN JAN. WITH THE RAIN IN TOW..I LOVE THE WEATHER AT THIS TIME. WE LIVE IN THE DESERT AREA. SO WE DON'T MIND THE RAIN

Nice place right next to H&M Landing, so really convenient for those going on a fishing trip. Great food within walking distance for great seafood and a nice brewery for some libations. Room was comfortable and clean, bed was good. It’s an older hotel but the keep it up and parking is easy.

My stay at the Sea Harbor Hotel was not great. The location is VERY noisy, the staff did not appear to be engaged in their jobs, and several loud guests were impolite to the other guests. I will not stay there again.

The hotel gave a motel 6 vibe. As soon as we walked into the room it was penetrated with the small of cigarettes, we couldn’t stomach the smell for more than 20 minutes. I took my shoes off and the floors were completely sticky, as if juice was spilled and completely smeared all over. The area was flooded with tourists, extremely loud guests in the nearby rooms. There was helicopter police circling around the area. Not to mention, the fridge was making an extremely loud noise, we had to unplug it due to how loud it was. Overall, we ended up asking for a refund and taking our business elsewhere. For almost $300 a night, the room was not up to par.

Both pros and cons to this place. Pros, it's clean, accessible and nicely kept up with nice modern on theme sea decor inside. Area is not ghetto at all, it's nice. What is ghetto is the fact that its right off the main street so you can hear cars and trash trucks through the thin windows. Also, THIS IS NOT A HOTEL! This is well maintained MOTEL. I can't stress this enough. What you're paying for is the renovated clean room and the safe location with 24 hour front desk and onsite parking. The photos are quite deceiving in my opinion. The beds are not firm at all, but they are clean. Some of the people who stay at these places are still the worst, obnoxious, loud and of course right outside your window, despite it's high price tag. Sound proofing could be a lot better, just pray you don't have one of those people who need the TV on as they sleep. It's not a bad place at all, it's the photos that trick you into thinking you're getting an enclosed building like a Holiday Inn or something with automatic sliding glass doors. It's also over priced for what it is, especially during ComicCon, can you say price gouging? Every facility does it during that time and should be outlawed. It'd be to your advantage to check out the place before arriving. Oh, the shower, so many nobs and hoses it's a bit of puzzle just to turn it on. 3.8 / 5. A few changes to the things I mentioned, especially the price during ComicCon and you'd have a solid 4.5. A solid 5 would be given if the front desk staf

This is a great little hotel located right near the marinas. It has been updated and has nice decor. The room was comfortable. It’s a great option if you are looking for an alternative to the large resorts.

We always stay here when we come to visit. The manager and staff are amazing, helpful and friendly. The accommodations are nice, comfortable bed and pillows and the rooms are always clean, we never have an issue. I love the location close to awesome food and great views. I highly recommend staying here you will not be disappointed.

Really pleasant hotel for a night or two. There aren’t a lot of food options in the immediate neighborhood, but the central location doesn’t make this a big deal.

Enjoyed my quick pre airport stay. You can definitely hear other guests if they are at the pool or being loud on the stairs exterior area. But overall great place to stay!

Location was great but it was an old motel with some paint on it and cheap upgrades.

Unfortunately, we couldn’t figure out the AC, which made it hard to get comfortable. Worse, the alarm clock went off at 6am — definitely not how we wanted to start our morning. It would really help if staff checked that alarms are turned off before new guests arrive. The parking lot was also a challenge. It’s very tight and tough to navigate, especially when it’s busy. To top it off, there was loud partying outside that went on through the night, making it hard to sleep. Overall, it was a mixed experience. The room itself was nice, but there were a few preventable issues that took away from our stay.

The beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever stayed in for a hotel. Great location for marina access and for the restaurants. The room could use some work, paint touch ups, and grout cleaning in the bathroom shower. A/C didn’t work well.

Check in and out was very fast. The room itself was in very good condition and the pool looked great (I didn't avail myself). The price was excellent compared to others in the area and it's literally 50ft to the marina. The only downside to this place I would say is that it looks like a seedy hourly rate motel from the outside. If you can stomach that, I would highly recommend it.

Can't beat the location!

Everything was perfect!

Nice hotel in a great area. The harbor area was right there with lots of restaurants to choose from. The hotel was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The front desk was very helpful with switching rooms when my dog would not go up the stairs to the second floor. Only complaint was they did not give our pet deposit back with no explanation and they added a random $14 charge with no explanation almost a week after our stay. So keep an eye on them trying to get a little extra from you. I would stay again just ask more questions next time.

It was a place to sleep for the night. Nothing great but got what we paid for. Location was good for an evening stroll by the marina.

Clean and well located!

The marina is close within walking distance and there are several places to eat. Tge staff are super friendly. We had a great stay here!

Nice quiet retro hotel in the middle of a very busy area. Easy walk to local amenities, easy parking (lot was full by 10PM tho) and the kitchenette room was nice for the price. This was a a little lower than other hotels in the area, would def stay there again.

Check in was smooth. Hotel was sold out and there was no parking. Front desk said to park in a designated no parking zone. Felt uncomfortable doing so. The safety lock on the door was broken which caused more uncertainty.

Didn’t feel like the property was represented accurately on Expedia. I chose it because it had onsite parking and when I got there the lot was a parking chaos with no spots. The spots were so small that cars were really really close together and sticking out everywhere. The air conditioner controls didn’t work well—had to call front desk to operate those. The pillows felt more like a 6” thick throw pillows with pillow cases, the shower head looked disgusting and dirty, so I used the hand held. Quite frankly, it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I really wasn’t expecting too much; just basic accommodations without a headache. The only part of the hotel that I liked was the young man at the front desk. He was extremely helpful and kind. I give him 5 stars!

my wife and were put in quite possibly the worst room on the property. we were next to the Housekeeping Room and that was loud an annoying to walk around the housekeeping carts. we had no opportunity to have any view of anything because our room was the only one that was not on the open courtyard or parking lot. it was the site of a wall needing a clean up.

Nice comfortable room. The coffee maker was much appreciated and the refrigerator was larger than what you normally get at a hotel. The rooms can get loud from the bars across the street and the parking lot is ver tight. I really really wish a microwave was included.

Room was basic. Could benefit from a small table and two chairs instead of the small bolsters in the room. Ample towels were provided in room.

Perfect place to stay when youre going fishing.

Great dog friendly hotel and perfect location! Short distance to where we wanted to go! 20 min to Coronado, 11 min to Ocean Beach. We walked to breakfast every morning to Point Break Cafe which was also dog friendly. Nice little touch with the welcome letter and candy. Older hotel but has been updated nicely! Would definitely stay again!!

Great location within easy walking for food, drink and harbor activities. Clean rooms and appointments. Bed softer than what we’re accustom to, but slept without difficulty. Pet-friendly definite plus.

Very clean and clearly remodeled. My only complaint was that there weren't any drawers! They have hangers, stands with cubbies, but no drawers. The staff was so attentive and kind. I would stay here again!
