Glad I stayed/visited but would not go back. Hotel was not clean enough for my liking. Felt dirty and even after the rooms were cleaned it was still dirty (and stained).
- 4/5
The resort fees should have been disclosed before we arrived!
- 4/5
The resort fees of $100.00 per night were way to high in my opinion. and they should have been disclosed when I made the reservation not when I showed up at the resort.

Nice views very calm laid back
- 3/5
Nice concept. Hotel was outdated and felt older. No real room amenities. Outdoor patio to pond isn’t really something ppl would use. $6 surcharge on any food and drink order you make . Every single order you do so if you’re at the pool you have to pay $6 every time you order a drink. Wasn’t awful just not a place we would stay again.

Beautiful property with plenty of things to keep you busy. Had a couple of restaurants on site that were convenient. The beach was cool and there were a lot of things really close to go do. Location was great because it was in between a lot of the nicer beaches that we went and visited. Would definitely recommend for families!
- 5/5
Very clean room cleaning service came a few times during our thing which is very convenient. Bracket was definitely amazing. Specifically the barefoot bar I would come back and definitely recommend to people.
- 5/5
We had a room that faced the lagoon and we had the most wonderful experience with all the birds. Dining was terrific, the location is lovely and yet close to downtown and the beaches.

The room had spiders and other critters coming down from the ceiling, and it smelled as though it had not been properly cleaned. The floors were filthy, and it felt as if the cleaning equipment itself was not being maintained. When a place calls itself “Paradise,” that standard should apply not only to the beautiful outdoor surroundings but also to the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. The pools also appeared unclean, which made it difficult to fully enjoy the amenities. Throughout the resort, including near several restaurants, there were strong odors that suggested grease traps or cleaning areas had not been properly maintained. We had planned to order food within the resort, but the unpleasant smells discouraged us from doing so. I believe the resort would greatly benefit from investing in additional staff and more consistent maintenance. This review is intended as constructive feedback to help improve the guest experience and bring the property up to the standard its name promises.

Decent stay in San Diego. Not sure it was worth the price.

The Staff and services that they provided were excellent from the Room service to food delivery and the resort Transportation were so kind and so courageous and so fast . Enjoyed the stay and also the location of the room with bite of the Bay was great . It was a very nice experience .

This was a beautiful place to stay. Right by the water, staff was very helpful, restaurant's were good

We love the golf cart service that would take us to different places from our room. We wish they had more restaurants on the property.

I loved staying here the staff is amazing. The pools are awesome. The property is absolutely beautiful! The pool bar closes at 6pm and the drinks are pricey. The room was a great setup. There was a smell coming from the air conditioner. The shower just needed to be bleached some areas of mold on the grout. They give you endless towels and clean the rooms daily. Room service is fast. I would stay again.

We stayed here for my 36th birthday and it was paradise! We literally felt like we were in Hawaii. We live in San Diego so it was a staycation but wow I did not want to leave. We spent the day at the main pool and then went to dinner at Barefoot bar and grill which had live music . We saw a beautiful sunset and enjoyed the property. We will be back!
- 5/5
We had a wonderful time! Very helpful staff who go above and beyond. Resort was beautiful and well cared for.
- 5/5
We will definitely be back :)

Phenomenal place. Staff was amazing. I cant wait to bring my wife again. She absolutely loved the quietness and vibes of this place
- 3/5
Beautiful resort with very good food but at check out they tacked on $46.00 a night for amenities that we did not use and when we booked this room we were not told about that fee which was almost $200 extra tacked on our bill which is a lot of unexpected expense
- 5/5
We love this place! We used to live in San Diego, and everytime we go back with our two toddler aged kiddos, we always stay at Paradise Point! It’s smack dab in the middle of everything, has everything you need, and is gorgeous! The kids also get a kick out of feeding the ducks at the resort :)

Location was amazing, friendly staff , beautiful resort The cantina on the main pool only serves food during the weekend, the body wash was not filled ,

Room was not greatly cleaned! They can do it better specifically bathroom!

Resort looks nothing like the pictures online and would not consider to be a 4 star. The whole resort is in desperate need of a renovation. Staff was friendly and helpful though.
- 4/5
This is a nice place to stay. We did the miniature golf, swam in the pool, rented the bikes. A cabinet door in our room was broken. The walls are very thin, so the loud family on the other side was a bit annoying when I was trying to sleep, Other than that, everything else worked fine. The bed was very comfortable, I slept great. The restaurants are both good. We ate one meal at Tidal, the food was great. We ate at the remainder of our meals at the more casual barefoot and really enjoyed it.
- 5/5
Walked the beach to get our coffees every morning and it was perfect.
- 5/5
Overall positive experience - swimming pools were heated, snacks/refreshments are available near the pool - the Mexican Street Corn was great. Be prepared to walk around in the resort, your cottage might not be very close to the swimming pool, observatory, restaurants etc. There is plenty public parking available, you might not need to pay the extra $50 to park over night.

The place is good, but need more maintenance. It could be better .
- 1/5
We won't set foot there again.
- 5/5
Only issue we had & I should have reported it, but a few of the outlets did not work.
- 5/5
My only complaint is that the towels all had a bad odor. That’s bath and pool towels.
- 3/5
The rooms are clean, little bungalows. Not really a great beach for kids to play on, but a nice quiet area. A lot of the amenities were not open, food options on the island were not bad, but a little pricey. A nice place to stay for a night or two, but I would choose another option to better meet my needs with two children. Was in a good location to explore areas around the resort or if you are going to sea world or the zoo. I would probably look somewhere on cornado for my next visit due to dining and activity options in proximity.
- 5/5
Great Resort. Everything was good, my only suggestion would be to make sure the room smell good. All areas of the resort should smell good for how much the room cost.
- 4/5
Overall great place for a family to stay. For the price, the rooms are less than desirable.
- 5/5
We had such a wonderful stay at Paradise Point Resort & Spa! The beach access was beautiful and made it so easy to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. We especially loved spending time at the pools — they were clean, fun, and perfect for both relaxing and family time. The resort had so many great amenities that made our trip feel like a true getaway. We would definitely love to come back again!

- 2/5
While the property was beautiful, well maintained, and the staff mostly pleasant, the prices were outrageous. $30 for a mediocre buger at best, and drinks were around $20. Who knows if they actually put liquor in your cocktail because they made them where you couldn't see them. Its almost as if they didnt want you to relax and have a good time. Two coffees and pastry came out to $45. I would suggest not eating or drinking at this property if you can help it.

Awesome 👌
- 5/5
We stayed in a Bayfront Suite and the views were remarkable. The room was very spacious and clean. We had a backdroor leading to a small yard just steps from the sandy waters. The grounds of the property were a pleasant walk with birds, turtles, and other wildlife surrounding the area. Both restaurants on property provided excellent food and superb service.

They charge a service fee , everywhere which is ridiculous. Property is nice , food is good and drinks are good.

Experience a late night pizza. It was delicious and had a lot of flavor. I wish staff would have worked harder to get me a beach view room but somewhat still satisfied with the room we got even tho the swamp view wasn’t that great. The family activity’s were were on point can’t wait for my third visit. Highly recommended one stop shop they have everything there.

did not get information about breakfast, fridge was not working( water was coming out of it) parking was 50 dollars a day. On top of paying 900 for a room for 3 days, my card was charged 605.
- 4/5
They charge $45 a night to park by your room now. That used to be free. There is a big public parking lot, but depending on where your room is, it could be 500 yards away. That may not be a problem for some, and it may be a problem for others. The California Coastal commission probably forced them to open the property to the public for beach access, and they put up big ugly signs everywhere...now you get people wandering through the place. It just doesn't feel as safe and secure as it used to. The location is great. It can not be beat. We just went to the Barefoot Grill for lunch and dinner, and the food was excellent. The views are wonderful. But it does feel like time is taking its toll on the place a bit.

- 4/5
Staffs are Ok. I did not get consistent service from them, some are cordial, some willing to do above and beyond. I, as customer has to initiate the greetings , then they greet it back to me. It has to be other way round. I am expecting "consistency" in this big resort. You are in the Hospitality business and I expect hospitability in every interaction with the staff. I rated your service as good but not outstanding. The resort need to work on giving the outstanding and memorable services.
- 3/5
Pools are outdated, breakfast at Tidal is not good but in barefoot is much better
- 3/5
The location was beautiful, with sweeping views of the water and lots of wildlife, everything from birds to turtles to all kinds of fish. The resort itself was okay, but starting to look weathered/old and parts felt downright dirty, such as the waterfall pool. The name sounds idyllic, but the pool deck was covered in bird poop, with more in the water and seagulls actively bathing there. It did not feel sanitary. The restaurants were overpriced for the quality and service was very slow (even for a laid back environment). The staff at reception was friendly during check in/check out, but everyone else we interacted with (ie, at restaurants) was pretty meh. Can’t say I would return, given the price.
- 5/5
It was beautiful! It was a private getaway with lost of things to do…. Put-put golf, the beach, just a wonderful place to relax!
- 4/5
Great central location for visiting sites like Sea World and the San Diego Zoo with a short drive to fast food and highway access. We liked the multiple pools, beautiful garden/pond area and walking distance to the beach. The pool bathrooms could have been cleaner and there is a lot of bird poop if you’re staying near the pond, but the room was very clean. Overall, it was an easy and pleasant experience for our family!
- 3/5
Place was just ok. No big wow factors
- 5/5
Paradise Point was the perfect resort for our vacation in San Diego. Loved the resort amenities like adults only pool, spa (massage was excellent) multiple pools, access to bay, mini golf and cafe by the water. Rooms are spacious and quiet. My cousin and I were very comfortable and relaxed during our week stay here. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Only issue we had was when we checked in to the hotel on a Saturday there wasn’t enough bell people working and we had to wait about 25 minutes to get our stored luggage back and transport to our room around 4pm (when rooms become available). Other than that minor issue no complaints. Would recommend this resort to family and friends visiting San Diego.
- 3/5
It's a beautiful place, but honestly, it stressed me out to be there. I had an issue (explained below), and no one could help - saying that because I made my reservation through hotels.com, my reservation was locked and they couldn't touch it -- but then hotels.com just gives the chatbot that doesn't help. It felt like no one was taking ACCOUNTABILITY for the needs of their guests who are paying a small fortune to be there... So, here was the issue: I wanted to make a last-minute room UPGRADE and add an extra night (ok, so last-minute change is on me)... but they refused to credit my original room against the new upgraded room!!! (In other words they still charged me for the room I didn't use, along with the higher priced room). To make matters worse, they still required me to check out by 11am (no late check out!) after the first night, and couldn't assure me I could check in to my NEW room (same kind of room, but 2 doors down) until 4pm. They did put a rush and I was able to get into a by around 1pm, but still, it was such a hassle to pack everything AND get charged an extra $380 or so -- with a REFUSAL to credit me back a penny and no apology. I'm sucking it up because I'm a non-adversarial person, but I will never go back, and it makes me disgusted by the chatbots and how it seems to take away customer service. And also, I know if I would've made a scene, I would've gotten a discount, but it's not worth my adrenalin. It leaves a bitter taste.
- 4/5
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Pool was wonderful. The ability for food to be delivered to the pool was cool. I wish the poolside drinks were available in the afternoon.
- 5/5
Such a beautiful property, we had a lovely time! We came with 3 young kids and stayed in a Bayside Lanai room with a king bed and a pull out sofa bed, and it accomodated us well. We had a great time at the beach, walking around, painting shells, playing mini golf, swimming... The staff was very friendly and helpful and took care of all our needs and questions.
- 5/5
Found everything outstanding.
- 4/5
Check-in was smooth, but we were surprised to find our total differed from our Expedia receipt. We were told parking would be $49/night, which hadn’t been disclosed on any communication received from Expedia. To their credit, the manager kindly reduced it to $22/night, which we appreciated—though it still felt odd given each bungalow has a designated spot. The bungalow itself was clean, spacious, and well-stocked with coffee and two complimentary waters. There was a noticeable lingering cleaning product smell for a while, but overall the room was comfortable. We also enjoyed the small private yard with chairs, and the location near the jacuzzi was a plus (even if our previous visit had a better view). One ongoing frustration is the lack of in-room entertainment. Although were were given a list of channels, the TV itself has no guide, so you’re left scrolling through channels, and there are no streaming options or ability to connect your own device. After a long day out, that made it harder to unwind. Overall, we had a good stay, but a few inconveniences may make us consider other options next time.
- 2/5
Food in general at Bar Foot Bar is overpriced and service is very slow. The outside of the rooms are getting really rubbed down as well and needs some care and refreshing. We love the easy access to the Bay and bonfire pits and that’s what keeps us coming year over year.
- 5/5
Clean room and grounds. Staff were friendly and helpful. We'll be back.
- 5/5
I like this place
- 5/5
Great resort for relaxing and enjoying the beachfront access.
- 5/5
Also had the opportunity to enjoy some of the pools on the location, great place to relax after a few hikes and sightseeing.
- 5/5
The accommodation was great for a family of four, with a nice bungalow, large bedroom space and cute bathroom and we had a view out onto the bay. During our stay one of the restaurants was closed, and so we ended up having the same menu on both nights. The hotel did tell us ahead of time about the restaurant being closed for maintenance. The main pool was decent with waiter service and reasonable availability of beds, although it was busy because it was during kids school break spring break. One criticism would be the gym, my husband felt all the equipment was tired old or broken but that wasn’t a big deal because we only went to the gym once. Over we would rate it a 9 out of 10!!
- 5/5
Rooms were clean and the property was gorgeous to walk around
- 4/5
The resort was like a little island..very astetically pleasing. The amenities was great. Heated Pool felt great at night..overall good stay..rooms could be updated but it was clean
- 5/5
Paradise Point was the perfect option for our family vacation. Our girls loved all of the pools and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. It was also extremely reasonably priced. We will definitely stay there again.
- 4/5
Beautifully Located!
- 5/5
Every thing was great!
- 5/5
House keep friendly, nice. I love how big the rooms are. Th patio. Patio could've been more private. Yes we would come back.
- 4/5
Its a beautiful property and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The pools are excellent as is the fitness club. It’s an amazing layout and the rooms are very big. When we arrived and took a shower, there was a disgusting smell of sulfur, which showed there was a problem with the pipes. It’s an older property so there may be issues like this. They did fix it, but that was a bit unusual, and we did have to vacate the room until the engineer came and took care of it. Also, we couldn’t really use our balcony because apparently ducks and animals poop in the area and there were flies everywhere. So there are some glitches associated with the kind of property it is and its age, but it is lovely and in a wonderful location.
- 5/5
Wonderful environment and nice room. Reminded me of Hawaii. Lush and special tropical setting. Restaurants are high-priced but convenient and food was good. Although there are Keurigs in the room, it would be nice if coffee was provided in the lobby and available to purchase in the market and if market was open earlier than 8. Lines were long at the coffee shop.
- 5/5
View for those with it, was wonderful. Perfect for kids and families.
- 4/5
Paradise Point has everything you need. Multiple pools, mini golf, water activities, restaurants, a store, a spa, bicycle rentals. And the property is huge! A great weekend getaway or a full vacation.
- 5/5
I love Paradise point resort
- 2/5
check in staff said they would text when room was ready no text received. As you have to out by 11:00 and your room is still not ready at 17:30 is exceptionally bad for a very expensive night.
- 5/5
Everything in the hotel is especial recommend 100% amazing place familiar, best place for relaxing
- 3/5
They charged me for parking; I think they should either include it in the price or specify it at the time of booking.
- 4/5
The breakfast was good enough. The fact that it offers gluten free options is great, along with vegetarian, and healthy options as well. The bar could have a better selection of seasonal beers and better liquor.
- 5/5
Everything was absolutely wonderful.
- 1/5
My wife was bit by a spider the first night. She got sick. We had to leave early. The hotel did not accommodate us for having to leave early.
- 5/5
Everyone was so nice
- 4/5
We had a little mini getaway in San Diego from Sacramento to meet family and visit Seaworld. We loved the size of the suite to fit our family of 4 and even had gathering with the rest of the family outside our patio in front of the beach. I used the gym and it’s missing some sizing of weights. Even though our trip was short 3 days we did feel “on vacation” because the hotel was so tropical and fun.
- 4/5
There are quite a few pools that were very busy and hectic however, there was an adult pool which was quiet and nice. The rooms were good and we had a lanai view which was also really nice. Check in was really lacking. Although we originally tried to check in earlier at a time when there was no line, our room was not ready. When we eventually got the text that our room was ready and went back to get our keys, the line was absurdly long. Only two or three people working and they have the capacity for more people which they should have had. Tried to get a late check out when the resort seemed fairly empty but they said they had a lot of people coming in so they would only give 30 minutes. I've never been to a hotel and only given 30 minutes. Parking is $50 per day. Absurd especially when you are also paying resort fees. I knew this ahead of time so it didn't come as a surprise but honestly, just because you can, doesn't mean you should! I would not go back as my kids are older but if I had young kids, I would recommend it.
- 5/5
Great place for a family vacation. Rooms are nice, there are multiple pools to swim in, it's right on Mission Bay and the staff are very friendly and helpful

This resort was better than expected. My husband my daughter and I stayed for 3 days and wish we would have booked even just one more. The whole resort is so beautiful and convenient. You can walk to the restaurants there which are amazing and the pools in each village is awesome. We really loved it & can’t wait to go back. Thinking of making it a spring break tradition. TY! paradise resort for a much needed getaway.

We had a great stay at Paradise Point. The maid service was great. They came in everyday and made the beds, cleaned up and refilled the tea and sugar.
- 5/5
This resort was family friendly. The staff were always prompt to meet our needs.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff. Delicious food. Beautiful grounds.
- 5/5
There were two on site restaurants. One was only open for breakfast, I believe it was close for refurbishment for dinner. The other restaurant was a little too high end for my grandkids. We had breakfast at the Barefoot Bar & Grill on our last day, it was very good and the outdoor seating right on the water was great.
- 5/5
Yes yes yes yes
- 3/5
The grounds could also be better maintained. There were ants in our room, and the patio furniture was dirty, so we weren’t able to enjoy that space. Additionally, the strong Glade plug-ins triggered our allergies, which made our stay less comfortable. The room itself was also lacking basic seating, there were no chairs available, only the beds. Overall, the property gives more of an outdated boutique feel. If you’re looking for a high-end, luxurious getaway, this isn’t the place. We had hoped for more, especially for the price we paid. This was our first time visiting the property and will likely be our last. We had seen mixed reviews beforehand but decided to experience it for ourselves. That said, we do appreciate the potential of the space and hope improvements can be made to create a more consistent and comfortable experience for future guests.
- 5/5
Amazing place felt exactly like a paradise.
- 5/5
When we arrived, our first night in our room it sadly smelled like sewer. I went to the front desk the next morning to let them know, they moved us to a different room that afternoon which was a lot better, a premium room closer to the water. Another issue is they only have two restaurants on the entire property and they don’t serve food after 9 o’clock. During the week by the pool the restaurant is closed. They only serve drinks and I think it would be very accommodating if they served food all day by the pool for their guests. You can DoorDash, but theres an additional fee for deliver. Overall I liked this resort. It was good for my two children and I for a quick vacation from San Francisco.
- 4/5
When house cleaning came by to refresh our room, they forgot to take out all the trash, forgot to refill kcups etc. We had to call to have them correct. But overall, for the price and amenities it’s a great stay, really good for families with kids.
- 4/5
Second time staying here and its a nice place. However, some maintenance is needed. Like faucets in showers just falling off when you turn them on. We were there with another family and their room had the exact same issue
- 5/5

Great spot for vacation with families.
- 3/5
The property itself is so beautiful. Great location, nice pools and restaurants. It’s the room itself that is dirty and bedding had bad odor we didn’t even spend the night.

The view was great. The stay was pleasant. We we were caught off guard with the resort fees, amenities and daily parking costs but overall a great stay.

This property is absolutely stunning! The food was amazing. The Staff was very nice and attentive from check in to check out! I would recommend the Suites. To be able to open the door and the sand is at your feet!!!! 10/10.

Into pool which should’ve been enforced. Prices are steep bag of chips $5 at the store. Place is really nice. Staff is super friendly.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and very helpful. It was nice that we were able to text with the front desk if we needed anything or had questions. Their shuttle service was amazing. Food on site was pretty good, but the staff is what made it so excellent. Big shout out to JP at Barefoot Bar and Grill who made our whole morning so much better!

Staff was very nice. Open 24/7 for any questions and concerns. Room had good space (we had a Lanai room) so some chairs in the front to sit.
- 4/5
Nice resort. Only one restaurant was open so we did not eat on the resort. Not far from activities.
- 3/5
The best part of this experience was the waiter at Tidal. Escobar.. he was fantastic!
- 5/5
This was a perfect getaway for my wife and I. Definitely a kid friendly place, but much more enjoyable with just you and your partner.
- 5/5
Family & per friendly resort! Fast service, staff are accommodating! We love to comeback again!
- 3/5
The room did not meet expectations, especially considering the resort fee we were required to pay. Noise from neighboring rooms was quite noticeable, particularly in the early morning when we were trying to sleep in. I would have expected better soundproofing, as found in many other hotels, but that was not the case here. The room was also not very functional—there was only one chair, and the table was too small, making it uncomfortable to sit and eat. Additionally, the amenities felt lacking given the added cost of the resort fee. Overall, it was a disappointing experience for my family.
- 5/5
This stay was for our son’s 6th birthday! We had a great time once again & will definitely be back again for his 7th.
- 5/5
Loved this place
- 5/5
Best as always
- 5/5
Great spot. Amazing pools with food and drink service. Beautiful birds and turtles on site. Fire tables all around. Great vacation vibes.
- 3/5
It was ok.
- 3/5
Great location and nice resort overall. That said our bungalow (an upgrade) badly needed renovation. Similarly the gym looks nice, but the equipment was surprisingly low quality. The place has seen better days and needs some TLC.
- 5/5
Nice staff and beautiful place to walk around
- 2/5
Food was overpriced and not very good across the board. Gouged for parking. Not worth the cost.
- 2/5
The room is very old and was dirty. The sheets were so uncomfortable and scratchy. It’s a very expensive resort for the poor and outdated room.
- 2/5
The rooms are outdated our toilet paper holder was falling out of the wall the pillows are non existent and we used cushions off the couch tried to find the adult only pool but every pool was full of kids even the one designated as the adult pool I think this used to be a beautiful property but you struggle to get service at the restaurant as locals take up a lot of the room we had an hour wait given to us all 3 times we went there even thought there were numerous empty tables inside and outside on a good note the staff were amazing to deal with cost we’re definitely high for what was received.
- 5/5
The amenities, the parking, and how welcoming they are to dogs. I had a great stay and hope I can come back again soon
- 5/5
Clean rooms and well maintained resort.
- 5/5
Great family place to stay.
- 3/5
However, it’s one thing to have a beautiful resort, but quite another to
- 3/5
We booked this spot for the proximity to Sea World and the price was better than most in Mission Bay. You get what you pay for. It is very close to Sea World (not walking distance though, especially with kids) and has great beach, bay access. Parking is $49/night (not readily advertised or an option) for a spot not close to the room and then Sea World parking is $37/day so for the $135 extra we could've done a more expensive or closer hotel anyway. The front desk staff was less than thrilled to be there and very hard to reach...the room phone uses an AI system that doesn't work so we had to walk to the lobby every time we needed anything. The bartender at Barefoot was great though! The room was cute and clean and a little worn down. Overall...ok spot but would try somewhere else next time we're in SD.
- 5/5
Beautiful property. Will visit again.
- 2/5
After waiting three hours past our check in time, we were finally able to get into our room. It was clear there was flooding (presumably from a toilet) in the room, which had a terrible odor of bleach (I have two young boys, one with autism, who are very sensitive to strong smells… especially something like bleach). We were assigned a different room with a different view, which was fine, but we had a door connecting to folks next door. This isn’t exactly the hotels fault, but our neighbors were very loud from 10:30pm to 1:30am. We didn’t tell the front desk because we had already dealt with them enough, but the issue was when we woke up at 6:00am (very mindful of our volume) and the neighbors banged LOUDLY on the shared door three separate times. On the third knock, I had enough and said “are you kidding me, you kept us awake until 1:30am!”. No knocks proceeded after this, but we felt forced to leave about 30 minutes later because we had just been through enough after everything the night prior + not being able to get to sleep until after 1:30am. They accommodated us by getting us into a new room after hours of waiting, but unfortunately will not be staying again because of these issues above.
- 4/5
Clean room. Staff was great on check in. Pool was nice.
- 4/5
Great staff great views and best spot if you want to feel like your in Hawaii
- 5/5
Room was not ready at time of check in 4pm had to wait 1 hour checked in at 5pm overall room was clean view was good
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Those are small gripes for a really beautiful property good overall experience ... it was my wife and our 2 lil ones ... the littlest one had her 4th birthday trip weekend here ... Now our other wants her birthday back here in May+Sea World so i would say 4 stars since kids loved it overall... We'll see u in May parked in free parking lot - knowing more about the property and will go to pool this time too ... Thank you
- 4/5
Beautiful resort that is located on its own peninsula/point. Great and relaxing atmosphere with fantastic staff and amenities.
- 4/5
Stay was very nice, great views, good food, staff and service was excellent, however it could use some renovations. Buildings were very old.
- 5/5
Beautiful
- 4/5
Unfortunately it was raining but the little cottages are nice and spacious. The room service food is bad. Overall it was a pleasant stay easy to get to other places from there. Also the boat rental was closed even though one of the day it was amazing weather. Bring friends or family or else it’s very lonely no central lobby to hangout at just a bar. It all pretty dated, but the location is very nice and peaceful.
- 5/5
Daren the bellman was great. All but one staff member was helpful and kind.
- 3/5
The hotel was plenty fine, but the grounds were just dirty feeling.
- 5/5
The room and view was great, it was very easy to request towels etc. the staff were very friendly.
- 5/5
They cleaned our room thoroughly every day. They were also very quick to deliver towels/blankets whenever we asked for them. Good job!
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
A very nice place, very well maintained, very friendly staff, I recommend it.
- 3/5
Room was clean but spare - not even glasses in the room. Staff was courteous. Extra cost for parking was not nice. Overall mediocre experience.
- 1/5
Late check in 4pm . I came in around 2pm room was not ready around 4:45 I asked to downgrade to another room service was horrible and too many hidden fees parking $30 and $100 in case you use their room coffee or order something to your room not worth $400 a night.
- 1/5
They charged parking fee for $50 overnight.
- 5/5
Spotless
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was amazing!
- 5/5
Room was spotless and exactly as pictured. Tidal restaurant was 10 out of 10! The pools, grounds, beach, all were amazing for relaxation. Location was easy access to everything. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Only downside is $50 per night for parking by the room, though there is public parking on the property that we were not aware of.
- 5/5
The staff were absolutely incredible!! We loved the hotel, restaurants and amenities!
- 5/5
Clean Rooms, staff very friendly, very relaxing place
- 4/5
Clean
- 5/5
The pools are so lovely!
- 5/5
All around great experience. Rooms were awesome! Parking was awesome! Workers were awesome! Pools were awesome! Food was awesome! Gym was awesome!
- 3/5
Overpriced and not maintained like it used to be. Sad to see it fall off
- 5/5
Room and amenities
- 5/5
Enjoyed the property and environment.
- 5/5
The resort is set in a beautiful, lush, tropical setting. This time we stayed in a lanai garden room near the main pool. Comfortable beds, large tv, refrigerator, and nicely equipped bath area. There are two restaurants on site. Barefoot Bar and Grill is located overlooking Mission Bay. It is a casual, come as you are eatery overlooking Mission Bay serving delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner items. We have not eaten at Tidal, which is a more upscale, fine dining restaurant. There are three pools on the property, each with a jacuzzi. There is a fun miniature golf course that I believe is free for guests, and a small marina that rents several types of water crafts. There is also a well equipped fitness center and small market/ deli as well.
- 4/5
Room was cleaned, but the restaurants in premises close early
- 4/5
The room was clean. It was not spectacular. It was adequate.
- 1/5
Extra fees like parking and amenities were added and not told. Almost $100 a day were added. Which was significant. Room were musty and dirty if walked barefoot in room feet were black. Cleaned room without emptying trash. Refused requests for rooms to be close together. Even though hotel mainly empty.
- 5/5
Always a good time
- 5/5
Room was very nice
- 5/5
The room was very clean and the property is gorgeous! Staff was very kind and helpful.
- 5/5
Clean. Great location. Hidden treasure. Heated pools.
- 4/5
Resort was nice with lots of activities including 5 pools, beach and a marina. Rooms are alittle out dated but clean. Overall had a good time and would be back. Please note that parking is an extra $50 per day.
- 4/5
Store was way over priced
- 5/5
After having a terrible first night with a baby next door, I loved the location of my room and so enjoyed all of the amenities. I'll be back!
- 5/5
The staff went above and beyond to help me and the room was nice and clean
- 5/5
I was blow away by the location and vibe of this property. Tropical little cabanas, a lovely little bay right outside our door, great restaurants, super close to Sea World. 10/10, highly recommend.
- 5/5
This is a staple for me and my family whenever we are in the area.
- 4/5
Location and reception service was great. Rooms could be cleaner (fresher bedding and dusting mostly.)
- 5/5
This was our second visit to Paradise Point. We were so excited to return and were not disappointed! Friendly staff, beautiful grounds, family fun, clean functional rooms, great central location for exploring greater San Diego area.
- 1/5
Someone parked in my assigned parking and the resort failed to make them move.
- 2/5
$50 a night to park your car at your room which was not disclosed when booking. Premium room near loud busy street. 3rd party bookings don't qualify for resort discounts also not disclosed by Expedia.
- 5/5
Really nice location. Great for families. We loved our bungalow on the water. I would stay here again. Thank you for the great hospitality 😊
- 5/5
Everything was really nice and clean. Staff was very attentive and helpful and a great place right on the water in mission bay.
- 5/5
Rooms were great but it's the landscaping and beach access that stood out! Facility is beautiful and just lovely All around. Will go back
- 5/5
Staff are very accommodating and friendly
- 5/5
Resort is great especially for families! Only complaint is the bed not very comfy and no smart tvs.
- 5/5
It was wonderful!
- 5/5
Clean rooms, friendly staff, and a beautiful view all around..
- 5/5
Phenomenal place to stay. The amenities are top tier, the staff is kind, the resort is so clean. I will be a forever returning guest.
- 5/5
Clean Quite convenient
- 5/5
Never had breakfast there.
- 3/5
The 3 nights that we spent there we had no shampoo or body wash in the bottles in the shower. They were empty and were not refilled despite several requests for refill. We asked for it several times each day and no one came to refill them. There was no room cleaning until we called them. The maid service was very poor.
- 3/5
Staff was awesome! The amenities and restaurants were good! The room was damp. It needed a de-humidifier!
- 5/5
We didn’t know about free breakfast option,
- 4/5
Had dinner at the bar. Food could use a bit more flavor. But overall it was ok
- 4/5
Our 3rd time visiting around the same time of the year ( christmast/mid dec) in the past 4 years :). We really like that the hotel doesnt feel like a hotel, not crowded, bunalow style rooms with individual patios,
- 5/5
A fantastic facility. You dont need to go anywhere. There is so much to do for the family. A true resort experience. The only negative is the room was just ok.
- 4/5
Great service and responsive service. Very old building with lots broken stuff like half the rooms lights just didn’t work.
- 4/5
The resort was beautiful with lots of plants and birds with small ponds. We enjoyed using the pools, spas, and mini golf. Breakfast was great at the restaurant and when the coffee shop was open it was good. Dinner reservations were ridiculous. We tried to reserve though the front desk and was told that we could only get a table by using Open Door because they required a credit card to hold the table but the hotel already had our credit card being held so really this should updated for the resort guests. We got the table, arrived and the restaurant wasn't half full and the food was uninspiring and over priced with very few options for vegetarian meals and picky teenagers. The mussels dish had what looked like and tasted like pork fat chunks in the sause. Our room wasn't clean when we arrived. There was dirt on the floor, dust on the lamp base, bathroom door had dust buildup. Called to get extra towels, blankets and coffee maker and refrigerator fixed because it was leaking. Each time the room attendant would arrive and not have what we requested. When the coffee maker was being replaced the attendant didn't know how to pour the hot water out and almost burnt her hands and we had to stop her and show her how to empty it safely with a towel. Overall, the resort is very well taken care of. We just happened to get a room that wasn't cleaned properly and needed the appliances replaced. Skip the fine dinning restaurant. There are many better restaurants around town.
- 5/5
Great facility and amenities. We look forward to taking our family back again.
- 4/5
Room was clean, but has some mosquitoes and spiders.
- 1/5
My partner and I stayed for three nights in mid-December 2025 expecting a peaceful resort experience. Instead, the property was loud, chaotic, and nothing like the tranquil atmosphere shown in photos. It felt like a waste of money and a disappointing experience overall. Throughout our stay, large groups of college-aged visitors wandered the grounds yelling, singing, and asking guests for directions to pools and hot tubs. It was obvious many were not staying at the resort and were sneaking into gated areas. The environment felt more like a college dorm than a resort. The worst experience was our final night. We returned around 6:00 pm hoping to relax and pack, but extremely loud music from a nearby outdoor event made it impossible to stay in the room. The speakers felt as though they were inside our room. When we called the front desk, we were told the music would continue until 10:00 pm. Staff could clearly hear the noise over the phone and told us we would be refunded, so we left without requesting a room change. No refund was issued. After several follow-ups, we were offered a $100 credit and told no refund had been promised. Why were we placed next to such a loud event? This treatment of guests is unacceptable.
- 5/5
Everything is good.
- 5/5
A very unexpected surprise place for vacation! We truly enjoyed the resort, it reminds us of Hawaii! Just a great place and we highly recommend it!
- 4/5
Wish the weather would have cooperated for us to enjoy the pool and beach.
- 5/5
Had to ask for microwave and too many spider webs in the room to have been freshly cleaned but staff was superb
- 5/5
Great time with my daughter.
- 5/5
Very nice stay. Hoping to stay there again next year for the Brooks XC Championships.
- 4/5
Paradies Point feels a bit like high end camping with large, nice rooms that need a bit of improvement here and there. The staff is young and not very hospitable - just doing their jobs. Expensive food and drinks - $500 for two appetizers, sandwiches and drinks for 4 plus a infant. Rooms are expensive but location is fantastic and the pools and fitness center quite excellent. Not much open in December.
- 5/5
Everything about this place was awesome including the staff
- 5/5
Dry well maintained resort. Nice rooms with all equipment working well.
- 5/5
Great stay, top tier service and excellent customer care
- 2/5
The room was smelling too much of chlorine. The heater was working too loud, at night it woke me up every time it would turn on. I booked reservation through Expedia and it was stating you pay wat you see, we arrived at the hotel around 4 pm and I told them that we are not going to use the resort we are leaving early in the morning but we still got charged resort fees+parking around additional $100.
- 5/5
All was good
- 5/5
Our room backed onto the beach. Its was very pretty. Room was clean and all the staff we met were very courteous. Guests walk around alot, so there is a community feel. Its expensive but I think it was worth it.
- 5/5
Amazing place!
- 5/5
Well kept grounds, beautiful nature which is what attracted us here.
- 3/5
Not bad but expected more for the price. Sorry towels left on front porch by previous occupants, cobwebs with long dead spiders, bedside table on only one side of the bed. Facilities were ok - probably better for families than two adults.
- 5/5
Great room and price!
- 1/5
We had cockroaches in our bathroom. It happened three separate times! For $400+ a night and leaving my clean home I was not pleased. Wouldn’t put my feet in the floor without socks! And one morning a vacant room next to ours had its alarm going off at 530 am - so we had to call and wait for security to go in and turn it off. The kids enjoyed the poo and the staff was kind. But I definitely won’t book here again.
- 5/5
One of my favorite places to stay. Clean room , good restaurants and the Spa was great. I love the morning walks with beautiful trees, flowers and the beach . A Big thank you to the girl at the front desk, Lauren, for my beautiful view from my room .
- 5/5
Great food and service!
- 4/5
Nice cozy place to set as a base.. central to all the tourist locations and also convenient to the airport. Will definitely come back and stay for any future adventures in Daygo!
- 3/5
The property itself is great, with so much to do, especially for kids. The rooms were older and so so loud - the AC and pipes rumbling all night, the window condensation
- 4/5
The property was uniquely beautiful but in tremendous need of updating. We loved the property but the roads, rooms and facilities are in various stages of disrepair. This property is no convenient and family friendly. The staff was wonderful. I simply hate to see such a wonderful property go into disrepair.
- 4/5
Nice resort and we liked the location. Room was very clean and we liked having a lanai. We did not use many of the amenities except for the pool/hot tub. Most of the other things such as the mini-golf, bikes, surreys, etc. are an additional charge. We were there in November so I would be curious to see what it is like in the warmer weather; there were not many people there when we were there.
- 3/5
Not that much
- 5/5
Spacious and comfortable for the first time visit
- 5/5
Great location, service and amenities.
- 5/5
Peaceful
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful and nice. The room was comfortable and clean. Getting extra towels, etc. and getting information was difficult but I eventually was able to accomplish that.
- 5/5
Great area
- 5/5
Room was spotless and very beautiful. Wish I could stay longer and enjoy the property more.
- 5/5
Clean room, helpful staff and great views in every room
- 5/5
It’s a nice place to spend the night. Room is clean and amenities are great. The only thing I hope they improve on was to have more than 1 staff on the front desk? I tried calling the receptionist twice but no answer so I decided to go into the lobby and found out the receptionist was helping another customer and was away from the desk. She did great but if they have 2 people at the desk if one is occupied there’s another person to assist others.
- 5/5
Room was really nice and staff was friendly
- 5/5
We enjoyed ourselves. There were lots to do for our 2 active boys. Plenty for me and our dog to walk and explore. My husband and I enjoyed the view and proximity of the bay. It was peaceful and relaxing. The staff were great.
- 4/5
Courteous staff
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Everything was great. The pools, the beach, the amenities, and the service. Barefoot bar restaurant was OK but expensive.
- 3/5
Bed old. Not comfortable. No fitted sheet. Sandy sheets. Front door scanner needed to be repaired upon arrival.
- 3/5
The bed was old. It did not have a fitted sheet and sheets felt like they had sand in them.
- 3/5
Old rooms. Area was not clean.
- 5/5
Yes everything was wonderful
- 5/5
My family and I loved it! Our room was large and the place was quiet. The staff was very nice (minus the gal who worked at the coffee shop)! Super nice that they had a convenience store, loved that. Breakfast at the coffee shop was lack luster and they ran out of food on day too. The pool was so fun and great for kids. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!
- 3/5
The staff was very good. Also, the property itself has an amazing atmosphere.
- 5/5
Good Service.
- 5/5
Great place!
- 3/5
Poor quality menu for breakfast . Sausage was grey and the breakfast burrito was gross. The bar closed way too early and never offered any bar food items. closed up without notice. Staff was nice and attentive though.Common areas like the patios, beach seemed dirty and unkept. The ice machine area was gross no snacks. The room had no glasses for wine or water. Poorly stocked for such an expensive property. No extras in the bathroom, ie face wash, qtips, etc....
- 5/5
Upgrade
- 3/5
Nice location for the half marathon. I can see the room received upgrades, but the bathroom was weird and the toilet a foot from a wall, seems tight. Our room backed up to the bay for a wonderful view. Grossed out when my wife found socks behind pillows on a couch. Lol. For the amount of money you pay, cleanliness needs to be a priority. The front staff were really nice to deal with. We won’t stay here again. Too expensive for the experience.
- 3/5
The room was…interesting. Seems like they didn’t hire anyone with interior design experience. The bathroom layout was bad, the door handle of the bathroom almost fell off, there was a hole in the wall from a towel hook on the door, and the tv did not face the bed and couldn’t be rotated. They tried to update with new finishes but ergonomically things were just off. Just a strange run down room.
- 5/5
Amenities . Perfect for family
- 5/5
Very nice room, quiet place, staff were very friendly.
- 5/5
Wonderful!
- 5/5
Great room. Right on the Bay. Clean. Pools were exceptionally clean
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 5/5
The king bed was huge and very comfy. The back door was lovely with patio seats and instant beach access.
- 2/5
The parking is horrible, woke us up banging on the roof and woke us up to move our car because their parking spaces aren’t big enough for our truck (yes we parked it properly dead on in the middle of our assigned spot). The hair dryer was broken and they never brought another as requested. Food was good and grounds were beautiful though.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Amazing staff
- 5/5
Great time , they just overcharged on parking when we didn’t need it .
- 5/5
Property is beautiful but just something to be aware of- it is very large and spread out so be prepared to walk a lot. They do offer golf cart rides to and from your room which was very appreciated. Service was wonderful everywhere- the staff in all areas were warm and welcoming. We had an issue with our room on arrival but they handled it quickly and professionally and we ended up being upgraded which was a very nice perk. I will definitely stay here again. Lots of activities to do and conveniently located near other tourist attractions. Only suggestion I have is it would be nice if they added vending machines throughout the property since the market closes fairly early. There were times I wanted to buy bottled water and had to wait for the market to open.
- 3/5
Poor service,
- 5/5
Lovely grounds, excellent service
- 5/5
Staff was awesome
- 5/5
The only thing that we experienced is that the floors in the unit were dirty. We only noticed it when we took off our socks and saw that they were very dirty. Other than that we loved our time there. One other thing is that the maid woke us up in the morning to clean the room at 8:35 am! We were still asleep and we were startled.
- 4/5
had to order in food because the kids did not like the options and it was fairly pricey. The toilet light stopped working so had to shower in the dark last day and the closet smelled a bit musty. Enjoyed the pools and grounds. Being so close to the expansive beach was great. We had a lot of fun.
- 4/5
This place is beautiful! We were right on the beach! So relaxing, quiet and romantic! The only thing is I thing cleaning crew for the rooms should be a little more thorough, we found a pill in the floor would have been really bad if our little joined that trip, and a green sock in the closet floor. Front staff when we checked in was very friendly along with the store staff. We ate at barefoot on property the food was OMG food, however the staff horrible. We stood there for a while , then when they were coming to seat us the host was stoped half way to our seat to tell us that the servers are overwhelmed and if we want to stay the bar would be our only option. I really wanted to try it so we stayed the bartender surged us and was the only one that was great. We sat and watched as we ate and there server we just laughing and chatting away with the manager that told us they were overwhelmed…. It wasn’t even busy! Overall I would go again but just little things can improve.
- 5/5
Absolutely wonderful staff and we had everything we needed after a very bad experience at a rental property. We had located this property by mistake driving around and getting a little lost looking for a place to go. The rooms were clean and well maintained for an older property that is heavily trafficked. They do a wonderful job of making you feel at home. We had a nice time, the restaurants were nice to have nearby and food was good. They took very good care of us and we would go back.
- 5/5
The hotel is in a beautiful location. Our room was private and had a nice view. It was spacious enough for a family of five. It was close to pools and onsite restaurants. And, there was room for kids to run around and explore.
- 4/5
We had an issue with our room the first night and they were very accommodating to make it right which was very appreciated. The hot tub and gym were great. Everything we well kept, the property is very calm and peaceful!
- 5/5
Took my two daughters (7 and 9) on a girls trip to my hometown of San Diego; we loved the resort and will definitely return! Convenient location close to everything but you're in beautiful surroundings that makes you feel like you're in your own little paradise! Pools were heated which was great even when it was overcast. Very family friendly and we felt very safe on the property!
- 5/5
We have stayed here the last 4 summers. I love this hotel. There is a lot to do and the property is always well maintained.
- 5/5
This is a great property for adults and kids. There’s a lot to do, or not do, depending on what you want. We went for my 4 year olds birthday and he had a blast feeding the ducks, swimming, playing in the cove, and riding a surrey. We were able to invite others for a day party on the cove and it was really nice.
- 5/5
parking too expensive
- 2/5
Our room had ants, sand, and hair stuck to the ceiling. The hotel moved our room at 11 pm at night. Poor service only got room cleaned once over four days. Can’t reach anyone on the phone as they want you to text for assistance and they don’t respond. Would not recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful
- 3/5
Property seems dated. Restaurants were good. Some things in our room were not clean. Shower head filthy shower inside wasn't clean. The worst of it all was the bed. #1 most important thing and it was hard and lumpy with a huge dip in the middle that you roll into. I literally was so sore and nearly bruised from it. I'm so tired of places not having comfortable mattresses. Time to upgrade.
- 3/5
We stayed 3 nights in the resort. As rated, the staffs are friendly and the resort environment is very good. But the room is old and the air conditioning in our room was so loud and we didn’t have good sleep. The bed mattress was too soft and the bed sheets have stains and lints. The bathroom floor has ants and must be having an ant’s nest somewhere in the room. Overall I didn’t get a good experience with this resort for what I paid for and won’t come back again.
- 5/5
Clean room. Nice property with lots of things to do or a place where you can chill at the pool.
- 5/5
Always pleasure to stay here! My favorite place in San Diego!
- 4/5
This resort was a great stay my only complaints would be it was a little outdated to me and my room had a lot of ants. Otherwise the staff were great! Parking was right outside your room and they had complimentary golf carts to take you across the resort if need be.
- 5/5
Great spot right on the bay, Been there forever which is part of the charm.
- 1/5
The bathroom door didn't work. Had to take a cold shower. Spiders in the room and spider webs all over the patio. Slow service. Warm beer. Would not recommend.
- 2/5
This place is in need of a complete remodel. Rooms are old and infested with bugs and insects. If it wasn’t for its location this “resort” would’ve been out of business long ago. Not trying to pay $900 a night to sleep with roaches, ants and everything in between inside the rooms.

That’s not even the worst part. I merely ask the front desk to be moved to another room and they were not responsive at all. I called for hours on end and texted their concierge and they just wouldn’t respond. Eventually, they said they would move to another room. This was at 10 o’clock at night, but I waited two hours and called constantly and they just ignored my calls until I fell asleep. The next day I was pissed and asked for the manager to call me and they just ignored my messages. Eventually, someone told me that a manager would call me after 11 AM which wasn’t OK to me since I was trying to get out of that room immediately. Eventually messaged saying that I was going to come to the lobby and show every person checking in what was going on in my room and how I was being treated

Great resort., many activities and clean pools. Not sure about the Restaurants. I think it would be a great asset to have a coffee Bar on location. Serving fresh pastries as well

Best place in San diego

The property is located on its own island. There are five pools for the property one being an adult only. There are two dining options, one of which is casual. The other requires reservations. There are activities to do on the property, but are at a extra cost.

We had a great stay but it was the first time I was disappointed in the cleanliness of our room. Other than that our stay was great.
- 2/5
First off it’s not per friendly .you can not leave your pet in the room and when they say traveling with a pet is like traveling with a child bull !!! Can I take my child to dinner or to amusement park or a swimming pool or ocean !!! Yes can I take a dog to dinner or amusement park or swimming pool or ocean NO!!!! So it’s not pet friendly you better kennel your dog at home because you’ll pay 3000$ to sit in a room .the have paddle boards canoes sailboats all kinds of fun things to do on their oceanfront, but you may not do it if you have a dog oh and by the way, it’s public meaning anyone can enter their resort and go to the beach. We had all of our belongings stolen off our patio. My granddaughter‘s new crocs stole stolen our bathing suits our towels our bathing suit coverups are Birkenstocks all stolen off the patio and there’s nothing they can do about it because the public has access so be worn don’t leave anything on their patios so I wasn’t very impressed.

Beautiful place to stay. 10/10. Would recommend!

Very good service and always attentive to asks. Even provided eye masks at 3am.

Love the facility

Sheets had ants, bathroom had sand from previous, sink had ants. No room-cleaning service. The mattresses felt old and unclean. On the plus side, it had nice within-resort pools and calm beaches just steps way.
- 5/5
I would highly recommend this place. I had a little mix-up with reservation and not only was Hotels.com accommodating, the venue was as well. We had our first family get together, since our daughter passed, I had just had surgery and we were celebrating 9 family member birthdays. It truly couldn’t have been more special. I will need to put some more photos together.

It’s a great place, staff super friendly.

I've been coming to Paradise Point since it was Vacation Village. Love the location and convenience it offers and really enjoyed dinner at Tidal. I would highly recommend this resort to my family and friends including those with young children.

Everything was very clean! Enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
We were there to celebrate my daughter’s 30th birthday. There were eight of us in three rooms. Honestly, there’s too much good to write, so I say you just need to go. I cannot wait to go back again!

Location was amazing but dirtiest resort and customer service. Phones were down all Labor Day, room was filthy all public bathrooms filthy. But I’d go back for the location.

Too bad they dont offer umbrella & tanning beds , and need to sit on towels.

Great way to get an island feel without Hawaii prices. Everything right on the resort to have a fun family time. Mini golf, water rentals, and beaches were a great time.

Fantastic resort that gives you the convenience of either staying on resort or getting around the local area. We took uber everywhere and it was so easy and quick from the property. The facilities were excellent and gives you the options to either have an active holiday or relaxing by the pool.
- 4/5
limited dining options esp for kids, resto are full limited access to fire pit. All occupied mosquitos alert on rooms near ponds
- 2/5
Front desk staff and manager are extremely rude and can use a few trainings on customer service. Honestly embarrassing. The director is such a doll and made everything better for everyone after the front desk almost caused us to leave
- 3/5
The bungalow was okay - not the most comfortable bed & needs an update
- 4/5
Beautiful facilities with lots to do. Wonderful for families. I do wish there were some more options for food to accommodate picky/basic eaters.

Audrey at the front desk was excellent and beyond helpful.

Beautiful property but had an unpleasant experience my first night. Arriving to the first room, we noticed the unpleasant room smell and called for someone to mop and sprayed deoderizer. We went out for dinner, and when we got back, we noticed different types bugs in the bathroom tub, curtains, and floors. We made a complaint and got downgraded to a new room in the middle of the night. Which unfortunately, was the only room available. In the morning management moved us to a new room, and we got upgraded to a nice room with ocean view. Parking fees and resort fees were waived. Even though we had a stressful night with the first room, management took care of us the next morning. We really enjoyed the property and there are plenty of activities to do at the resort. We will stay here next time we visit San Diego.

What a gem! This property has so much charm. While the property is a bit worn and in need of some TLC, our room had some updates and was very clean. We loved the family friendly nature of this property and all it has to offer.
- 3/5
Excellent large rooms, but the property grounds in person looked different than online.
- 4/5
Loved the convenience to the beach, easy access to everything. Staff was very accommodating.

Great location and property, but the bathrooms need to be renovated.

I placed on the notes of my reservation that we're celebrating a 5yr anniversary, yet not so much as a mention or note, I falsely assumed they would do something nice for us. We also placed a request for early check in and arrived around 1pm to pre check in and was told our room is being "prioritized" with housekeeping, so we wasted a bunch of time & money at the restaurant on site. After 2 hours and no text I go to the desk where they said my room isnt ready yet but another is available, so I accepted as we were tired and wanting to shower. Only to find out the room was a "garden view" of the road, when I had paid for a lagoon view. I go back to exchange the room and tell me the type of room I booked isn't ready yet, so they "re-prioritize" the cleaning for the 2nd time and said it should be done soon. After over an hour and still no text by 4:45pm I go back to the desk where they say its finally been cleaned but pending an inspection. Eventually get into our room around 5:15pm to find that we were given the one lagoon which looked like a swamp! All other lagoons throughout the property were clean with functioning fountains, which I took pics of as further proof. On top of all that the TV cable and remote are so outdated, we couldnt even watch a movie or plug in an HDMI, and were stuck with basic cable. All in all I'm very disappointed & embarrassed for this "romanic getaway". The communication between deaprtments and in room amenities need serious improvement! Waste of $$$

Nice family resort. Some entertainment for the kids. Nice pool facilities.

Exelent option

Great property! So much to do! Love the vibe!

Resort needs to crack down on # of people per beach front bungalow. On both sides of us bungalows were rented by 2-4 people, then they had parties with 20-30 people all day and night. Property trashed and had other bungalow guests on our deck and grass area the whole weekend. For the price in the summer, one could rent a bayside beach house and have way more privacy and not giant parties next to you.

It’s mid ok

We reallt enjoyed our stay and such kid frie dly. Being able to go the beach and pool. We fed the ducks, attended the bracelet making session and watched movie by the poolside. Also being able to park right next to your room cant beat that!

Close to SeaWorld…
- 4/5
The room was nice and pretty spacious. I really liked that each room had its own entrance and parking spot that made bringing our luggage in and out so easy with a toddler. Even though we shared a wall with another room and you would hear the occasional airplane during the day, you couldn’t hear anything at night. The ca

On the first night, we found a large cockroach in the bathroom — not once, but three times. At 1:00 AM, after fully unpacking our clothes, toiletries, and personal items, we had to repack everything in a rush and move to another room. The “new” room also had small cockroaches, which we photographed throughout the day. When we asked the front desk to refund at least the first night, they refused and told us: “Do whatever you think is appropriate.” This was stressful, unhygienic, and completely unacceptable for any hotel. Avoid unless pest control and customer service are drastically improved.
- 4/5
Definitely will not choose a garden bungalow, because it’s far from the pool and close to the highway.

👍

It’s time for a upgrade on everything!

Water in the main pool is murky and dirty. It seems they let families bring in all of their floaties, footballs, toys etc. kids are disrespectful. Didn’t have wait staff to take orders at the pool. Had to wait in line to order. Front desk girl was rude upon arrival. The room has an insanely putrid smell of sewage while we were getting ready for dinner, they sent someone out and we were told it is a recurring problem. The maintenance guy was very nice, and tried to fix the issue. The smell went away and when we checked out the girl who helped us was great. Very kind and understanding. Gave us a discount which we really appreciated. Sadly the food the price I don’t think we’ll be back. The main pool was the biggest disappointment.

I loved that we had a designated parking spot. It was nice to leave and beable to park near our room

I ordered housekeeping my room to get cleaned and no one showed up.

Poor care of property and rooms
- 2/5
We have been going to this property for almost 5 years. We always stay on the cove. I was so surprised to feel for the first time that it felt like a run down resort. Our room had a broken blind, AC blinds broken and off the hinge, no refilled shampoo or body wash (that made me worry the shower didn’t get cleaned) and when I moved the coffee maker basket there were crumbs. The inside of drawers weren’t wiped, I could see hair in the kitchen drawer. It was very gross. The couch is different and has uncomfortable fabric that is meant to be on outdoor furniture. Outside the room and around the property has trash (bottle caps, wrappers of food). It was very disappointing and felt icky. The pool wouldn’t be restocked on pool towels early (early meaning after 9 am). I’m not sure what is going on with the resort, but I definitely won’t be recommending it and I’m unsure if we’ll go back. It’s such a bummer because it was a great spot.

There are PLENTY of great dining options within a short driving distance around Belmont park, PB etc. The central location was great to get to thr places we wanted to visit in our 5 day stay to san diego. The property was well kept and the view of the bay was very nice to watch the sunset. The fire pits were really nice as well along the bay and you can purchase the supplies for making s'mores along with the wood etc at the resort's gift shop. Overall i would rate this place a great location for anyone cisiting san diego! Quiet and family friendly.

Great family vacation destination. Lots of things to do at the resort and everything is within a 10 minute walk. The junior suite was very nice- modern, clean and 2 minutes to the beach. Highly recommended.
