Very spacious hotel with very large swimming pool areas, several options for eating on the premises, spa, gym, tennis. Rooms spacious, beds comfortable. Aside from being around the pool and having a drink at the bar, there isn't much one can do here as the place is quite isolated. The free shuttle service to Coronado each half hour is a great service! Wifi, not requiring any password, gave us some trouble. Though I found the price per night to be very reasonable for the value, the prices for the Spa services were ridiculous. Some of the staff could be slightly friendlier.

Staff are very friendly and helpful! Great service and good food! The property has lots of options to stay in or explore Sand Diego. The free shuttle to Coronado Beach was very convenient.

Overall, this is a very beautiful hotel and the staff was so nice and helpful. I wasn't overly impressed with the room, but having a deck overlooking the ocean makes up for it.

This well established resort style hotel remains beautifully maintained both inside and out. The entire staff was extremely helpful and accommodating during this multi-day stay, and the food was delightful while being shared on the veranda overlooking the gorgeous Coronado Bay. Self parking was convenient and the proximity to the room was nice which made going "to and from" a breeze. All in all, this hotel comes highly recommended for an established luxury resort for people desiring a relaxed and comfortable experience while on Coronado Island.

I stayed in a Suite, it was very nice BUT the only weird thing was the coffee station was placed in the bedroom! Inconvenient, to disturb the person sleeping, if your up early and want coffee.

great hotel

The resort is impressive when you arrive, but it is a long way out of Coronado and you need the shuttle bus to get in and out. There are multiple pools and bars and restaurants. Rooms are nice without being really special. We had a bay view, but it wasn't a great one - we were too far round the block to see the San Diego Bridge. Unfortunately, there was a very large and noisy wedding on when we were there, which meant we couldn't use our balcony or some of the outdoor facilities. Check in said said nothing about this. The bay view was disappointing. Bike hire was extortionate (I'm in a hotel in Santa Barbara at present where the bike hire is free).

Room was clean, however the lamp plug for charging electronics wasn't sufficient and those were the only plugs available without unplugging lamps. The staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurants and bar were TERRIBLE with getting food to the table in a reasonable amount of time. To receive food in no less that 45 mins to an hour is not acceptable.

The pool was glorious. We especially liked the poolside bar service. The free shuttle into Coronado was a lifesaver. No complaints.

Beautiful property! All the staff was great, the amenities were nice, and the view was great. It's a little out of town, but they have a shuttle on site that frequently takes trips to town, so that worked out great!

Great stay. The pools and spa could be cleaner (a lot of the spa amenities were out of order) but otherwise everything was great. Service was top notch.

I cannot believe the charged us $50 to park that is too much for a guest of the hotel

The price of the hotel in my opinion is too high for the view and my room linen had an unpleasant odor especially the comforter. I wanted to be able to see the sunset and had paid for an ocean view but got a view that was of the water between the coronado bridge and San Diego. Also there were no Coca Cola products which mattered to me. The cafe that served coffee was always polite and delicious.

Amazing pools

Our first room was pretty dirty and had an overwhelming smell of bleach. The second room was better. We tried to order food in the lounge but no one ever served us. So we ordered room service. (Server was great) but they were out of multiple things. We wanted to play tennis or pickleball but they got rid of all tennis and the pickleball courts were not functional. Overall not my favorite stay.

Hotel is very lovely, it’s older but so well maintained and clean that I observed workers cleaning the glass windows and patio floor outside was being mopped. The panoramic views across the water of San Diego is so beautiful. The pools are clean and warm. The hot tub was nice. But most importantly it’s been a while since I’ve had every interaction from valet, to front desk, to restaurant staff all be so customer focused. The staff is wonderful and welcoming and for this alone deserves a 5 star. The restaurant Crown landing had delicious food. Usually my teen daughter is very picky but she loved their signature steak and I loved what I ordered which was the seafood pasta dish. We enjoyed our time at this hotel and I would recommend it. The only feedback I had was that pillows were too soft but some people may like that. Rooms were very clean and smelled clean - no musty smell and rooms are not dated. It’s also nice to have a 3rd floor balcony and ours overlooked the pool area. The valet parking was $55 per day or you could opt for self park $50. Also our room was in building 3 so we had to carry our non-wheeled luggage to our rooms as there were no luggage carts that I saw available

Great overall experience, the staff was accommodating and the hotel was nice. The beach was super close and the shuttle to the beach was great. The town of Coronado is about 8 minutes away but the bus to town was convenient and timely.

I liked this hotel and recommend it , nice and quit location, friendly staff.

Leaving the property to visit local beaches, shopping and dining is extremely inconvenient. After paying to park at the hotel, you are also charged to leave the hotel IF the gate system works. I witnessed many guests bottlenecked at the unstaffed gate and had to call customer service myself to request the gate to be opened when the QR code and text service did not work. On my last night I found a fairly large bug in my bed even though I never left my balcony door open. Toddler size water bottles for adults are inappropriate and give the perception of being cheap on service.

This is a great hotel! I especially like the quality of the food, the wide corridors, the solid doors, plentiful towels, clean sheets and trash removal every day. The view from my room was amazing! The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and polite, and the amenities were great. But it did seem like they were understaffed. Also outsourcing the parking and WiFi connectivity to third parties is not optimal for the customer. The parking costs and requirements are ridiculous and the internet connectivity needs more senior techs and a much quicker response time. But I had a great time. Thank you.

Property has a nice location on the peninsula. Good marina access. Pool is large, but busy. Could have used more attention to cleaning. On-property restaurants were good.

The additional $42 plus tax per day was unexpected for me. That looks bad on expedia for not properly disclosing it. Would have rather stayed closer to the city if i knew that extra expense.

Staff were always very friendly, and someone was always cleaning. Very easy to get around. Water around the beaches was contaminated, so you couldn’t swim in the ocean, but the pool and hot tub worked for swimming.

The gym is in great condition and new equipment and clean! The rooms are clean and well maintained but the bathroom is looking a little dated and needs some renovations The cafe is great and many options We didn’t eat at their restaurant because the menu wasn’t too kid friendly and very pricey.

Cindy at the reception desk was AMAZING. I mean wow.. ssoooo nice and super accommodating. My fiancé and I were celebrating his 50th, she upgraded our room, gave us discounts at the spa. She also directed us to some great restaurants in the area. She really enjoys her job and we enjoyed her, thank you Cindy!!

Got in for our marina view which turned out to be a resort view and staff moved us immediately even with a high booking this weekend to a much better view. Great place to stay and with pets as well building five is the most convinient!

Wasn’t happy with service and my room wasn’t what I expected

I had one slight issue though. When I booked, I picked the King Room(Bay View) and the room we were given was the King Room(Pool View). That evening, I went to the front desk and talked to Martina(forgive me if the spelling is wrong) and showed her what I booked and she so graciously apologized and placed me in the correct room with no issues, fuss or extra charges. Shout out to her for being awesome and helpful in that moment of confusion. I think I'll stay here again on my next trip.

Construction on the property near my balcony- not good. I also had a VIP credit that they were supposed to apply to my restaurant/bar tab which they did not. Little details matter.

Jade at the front desk was super friendly and by far the best interaction. She was great! We’ve stayed here several times in the past and were all great stays. This time I must say our room was not great. The bed and the bathroom was clean but other areas within the room were not. The floor definitely needed to be shampooed or at the least carpet spot cleaning and same for the chair and ottoman. The curtains were very dirty although I know those aren’t something that are washed super frequently but could use some attention. Overall we enjoyed our stay but room was not in the same condition or standard as we remembered from previous trips and for the price paid for the room received it was a little disappointing. Thank you

Front Desk was short staffed and there was always a line to wait in to speak with someone. I paid for an ocean view room thinking that I would have the nice bath tub and the lower price rooms had the nice bath tubs I had a regular bath tub. I was very disappointed and the front desk staff could care less.

Carpet has an smell

To be honest my family and I didn't look or enjoy ed anything about this resorts. The powe went off for hours 30 mins after we checked in no electricity, elevator access I knee problems, phone service. We didn't understand what was going on at that time. No alarm to inform renters of the problem. Very scary experience. So I won't recommend this resort to anyone. Very unsatisfied.

This was our first time staying at Loews. We love Coronado, and San Diego in general, and live about an hour away so it’s always a nice getaway. This hotel is about 5 miles past hotel Del Coronado just across from Silver-strand Beach. It’s beautiful and quiet the electric bike rentals at the property made it very easy and reasonable to rent and “ride” into town. We were initially assigned a room above the pool, which was extremely loud. We immediately went to the front desk and they accommodated our request for a quieter room. I appreciate the staff in their accommodations who compensated us with food and drink credit. It was unnecessary, but complimentary and very kind. We booked through Expedia and selected a king room with a Bay view. My best recommendation would be to call ahead of time and make sure that it’s actually the room you are assigned. We ate in town so I cannot comment the restaurants other than The Cays, which we enjoyed in the evening, sitting by a fire, under bulb lights, overlooking the bay. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel.

We had bad luck overall: our late checkout request was denied, the hotel initially refused to pick us up from the bay, and the first day was wasted trying to figure things out. The food was not good, though the restaurant views were nice. The only positive was the free shuttle downtown. I came to celebrate my birthday but left disappointed. The hotel clearly needs better management and guest service.

Nice place with bigger rooms than the Del Coronado but you have to drive to get anywhere. Pool area nice enough and two jacuzzis a plus. Front desk staff were great. Elevator was out in our building and we had to take the smelly service elevator for the three day trip. Parking is crowded and expensive, with no street parking options. Comfy bed and view was good

We stayed for three nights as a family. Property is well maintained and the staff is friendly ( special mention to Georgina at front desk early morning ). Pool and facilities are perfect and food quality is tasty. Overall, we were happy with our time here.

Stayed at Loews Coronado Bay Resort recently and honestly had mixed feelings. The staff was super nice and helpful, which I really appreciated, but the rooms felt a bit dated and could use some refreshing. The biggest letdown for me was the food—it was overpriced, not great in quality, and surprisingly limited when it came to seafood options, which was disappointing given the location. To top it off, we booked self-parking but still got charged for valet, which felt unfair. Overall, the service was the highlight, but everything else fell short for the price.

I would be nice that the resort have a good dine in restaurant with better selections. We have to dine outside due to the selection available at the restaurants.

I loved this hotel. It’s beautiful & clean. The service was amazing. The staff delightful. Everyone I met was so friendly, helpful & kind. From Valet to front desk, managers, cleaning staff, coffee shop & pool restaurant staff. Everyone made my stay wonderful. The ocean view room was enjoyable. The bathroom was large. I would definitely stay there again. It was close to everything.

Generally a boring hotel for the cost. Everything is overpriced. It's not really in Coronado. $23 for 2 eggs. Gimme a break. Why don't you open the sauna to guests?

This is a scam. The property was great. However, you make your reservation through Expedia and it tells you the “final price” but that is NOT true. The hotel charges you all kinds of fees, including a pet fee of $150 per night and they don’t tell you that in advance.

Property is very clean, staff are always working constantly at cleaning or maintaining something. Staff is all very nice, positive, upbeat, always welcoming and greeting you as you walk past. Vest hotel I’ve ever stayed un. The spa is amazing! Plan to spend a lot of time there before or after your scheduled service. I didn’t realize how much you can do. Adult only pool, family pool and kids pool which was great. Lots of outdoor activities like pickleball, ping pong, chess other things too.

The breakfast options are quite limited. You have to wait in line for a long time to be seated and wait again for service.

Very nice resort in a rather secluded and quiet location overseeing Dan Diego Bay. The staff are courteous and the place very clean. We have been visiting this fedora often for the past 30 years.

We spent two nights and three days at the Loews Coronado Resort and had a great time! We traveled with my 3, 6, and 10 year-old boys and they had a blast! They had three pools, corn hole, jumbo connect four, pickleball courts, and great kid-friendly options for food and snacks. There is a state beach directly across from the resort, and the resort offers beach chairs, umbrellas, and beach towels! We stayed in a king bay suite that was very spacious and comfortable for our family! We will definitely come back!

Very nice property with good food on site. Amenities are great & the spa was wonderful as well. The resort offers a shuttle that runs all day & drops off and picks up right in front of the hotel Coronado, which puts you right in the center of shopping and restaurants. Pool staff is friendly, and the bar/poolside bites are good. No complaints, will stay on the property again.

The pools were very clean and we loved that they were heated during the day. We loved that there were lawn chair covers, complimentary sunblock (because we ran out) and aloe vera. The food by the pool was ok and overpriced! Overall, we had a nice relaxing stay but the biggest complaint for me are the room bathrooms!

If you want to stay on Coronado but do not want to pay egregious rates for the famous red-topped hotel on the island, this is a reasonable resort alternative. Pros: parking is not bad, the pool area is kid-friendly, and food at the pool is solid. There are shuttles to downtown Coronado for sightseeing, restaurants, etc. The facilities are old, however, and could use updating. Many rooms have very nice views but the feeling you get is that a facelift is needed to overhaul the physical plant to modernize it somewhat. Staff overall have been friendly the two times we stayed there and we found it easy to head over toward the other main Coronado landmark hotel to enjoy the public beach adjacent to it or to go to restaurants/ice cream joints/boutiques.

Location and shuttles were excellent but the rooms could use some updating. Not the friendliest staff but overall great experience.

The property is blessed with a beautiful location but it is run down understaffed and in need of a renovation. Parking and billing issues plagued our stay. I could go on only our kids had a great stay.

Nice resort. Clean. Easy to get to downtown Coronado and San Diego. Lots of paths for walking and biking. Beach across the resort within walking distance. Can’t swim off that beach water quality it bad there.

What an amazing place! Every staff member was friendly and eager to do anything for us. We were upgraded to the Sunset Suite! It made for a memorable birthday getaway. A great value too for such an upscale resort!

We loved staying here! The amenities are awesome, our kids liked swimming here a lot. The staff gave great customer service from check in until check out. The food at Cay Lounge is delicious! We are definitely planning to come back again!

The property was amazing. My favorite was the outside patio that faced the bay and bridge. Perfect place to eat breakfast and drink my coffee.

We are very disappointed. First issue was they ran about 5 of my husbands credit cards and all were declined and then 2 of mine were declined. I have you know we have excellent credit and money is not the issue. We both called our banks and the banks told us they never even got the opportunity to to refuse payment and that the Loews pos system must be not working . . When I told the service desk this they said oh it’s working fine. So we gave cash deposit to stay here. The pool looks cloudy and dirty and we went to jacuzzi and it was broken. Overall it seemed to be a big wate of time and ninety. We asked for a room with a pool view and they gave us one of he bay., when we called and said we asked for a pool view room they said oh we gave you an upgrade. One disappointment after another. Worse than that , I don’t appreciate being embarrassed in front of everyone at the desk with the credit card scene. This is all completely unacceptable.

We have always enjoyed our stay at the Loews. The staff are helpful and friendly. A special thanks to Cindy who checked us in. She was so friendly and full of information about the hotel.

Water bottles provided and a free shuttle made our stay very enjoyable

We celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary by staying here where the wedding party stayed last year and where we stayed for our wedding night. Great memories of this location.

Lovely coastline resort on Silver Stand beach; beautiful area to enjoy surrounding the property and plenty to do within the resort itself. Pool amazing! Staff very helpful and friendly.

Nice amenities and location, room was a little dated and eh.

The property was beautiful and the staff was great! We were appreciative there was a shuttle to take us into town.

The hotel staff were wonderful, as usual. My room had adjoining doors with the room next to me, which I hadn't ever had. The people slammed doors all night, which was loud and disturbing. But, other than that my stay was wonderful.
