Wonderful breakfast and lovely facility

Friendly staff from beginning to end of our stay, great location, clean property and room, best breakfast options!

Studio is small and tight. Sofa bed pull out have no room to walk around with the kitchen table was in the way. The blanket provided is thin. Room is located on a separate building other than the main bldg. Have to use the room key twice to gain entry to the building and then again for the room. Very inconvenient to gain access twice while bringing luggages into your room. The room rate is expensive on top the mandatory of $21 parking fee per night. (It’s just an outdoor unmanned parking lot located right outside, not a gated or secured garage parking of anything…)

Well maintained property. Clean, comfy, free buffet breakfast and happy hour/small bites. Walking distance to the artist’s district where I was taking an art class.

We stayed one night at Homewood Suites before flying home after a week in North County. It was a breath of fresh air! The location is great, the room was clean and spacious. Loved having the kitchen to heat up a snack and make GF toast in the morning. It was a perfect ending to our San Diego stay!

Beautiful property! My room was clean, bed comfortable, breakfast amazing, and i was greeted with a warm smile by staff on every encounter! My son really enjoyed the amenities on the property as well (basketball court, corn hole, etc.). I enjoyed the scenery and location. Beautiful walking trail/bridge on the property, by the lake! My stay was perfect! I'll certainly be staying here again!

We rented a double king bedroom and it was okay. I had to wipe down some surfaces because of food stains or hairs, so not super clean. The kitchen was stocked with some supplies, but you have to request a dish sponge from the front desk. The walls are a little thin, and you can hear sounds from other peoples TVs or people walking above you. No aircraft traffic between the hours of 11pm and 5am which is nice. Breakfast was standard fare, and we didn’t try any of the amenities but the laundry room seemed a plus! Probably will try some other family suite hotels nearby if we return…

Check-in was fast and easy, staff were very friendly and welcoming, breakfast had a wide variety of options and all were above average for hotel breakfast. Our room was super-clean, well-appointed and the mattresses and pillows were great. Highly recommend and will stay again. The pool was a little chilly - other guests said it was much warmer the prior day. But it was clean, they had a small variety of toys for kids which was awesome, so this was just a hiccup for us - not a significant issue.

This was our 8th trip, and we continue to choose Homewood Suites because the experience is always excellent. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect for our needs. We especially appreciated being accommodated with an early check-in, which made our arrival much easier and more enjoyable. It’s the little things like that that keep us coming back year after year. The rooms were immaculate, spacious, and beautifully designed. We stayed in a suite that offered plenty of room to relax, complete with stunning, picturesque views of the area. Another major highlight was the morning breakfast. Delicious every single day, giving us the perfect start to our mornings. If you are visiting San Diego, this hotel is a flawless choice. We cannot wait to return!

I loved the location of this property. Plenty of eateries. The breakfast buffet was nice but wished they offered pancakes too and not just waffles or bacon instead of only sausages. But this was very minor. The suite was comfortable except for the pillows but most hotel pillows are never comfortable. Overall, I would book a stay here again.

We returned to Homewood Suites and we were not disappointed. The breakfast is excellent and a little different each day. The salsa and carnitas are always welcome! The location is amazing, right down the street from the airport. Down the street is the Liberty Station Market with amazing shops and a variety of foods and deserts. 10 minutes from the beach or downtown. We will definitely be returning!

Upon arrival the hotel stored our bags and gave us a key card to be able to walk around the property. We drove to Liberty Station and also walked around. We were texted about 45 minutes prior to check in that our room was ready. When we got to the room, it was clean. We weren't sure which room was master/primary which was great.

I stayed there for four days and the hotel staff were very helpful, the rooms were clean, and there was lots of food for breakfast everyday. Very close to the airport and walking distance to Liberty station where there is food and things to do.

It was such a great place to stay with a 4 year old. I enjoyed how close it was to the zoo and sea world. Lots of places to eat right by the hotel. We did not go out to eat has much with us having a small kitchen prefect to still have family dinners. The pool was great and the breakfast that they provided was amazing. I would for sure book again with them.

The pillows were so comfy! Everything was neat and well-stocked. The fitness center was well maintained, and the breakfast buffet had a wide selection. Absolutely enjoyed my stay!

Check in is supposed to be at 4, but rooms were not ready at that time for us or several other guests. We all waited in a line for at least 30 minutes. I had to be at a dinner by 5, so I actually had to change and get ready for my event in the bathroom off the lobby. The staff seemed panicked and unable to cope. In addition, the room we eventually got had paper thin walls and the AC fan was so loud to literally made the wall vibrate. We had to turn it off cause it was impossible to sleep otherwise. Terrible experience

Kid friendly, amenities top notch.

Greeted warmly, even shown to the room. However, no details were shared: breakfast hours, pool hours, coffee in lobby, restaurants nearby, airport shuttle unless asked, and nothing in the room about any of these. There was a welcome on the TVs, though. Found out there was a happy hour one night by chance, showing up at its end. Odd room layout: king bed barely fit, closet had a fixed panel covering half, luggage rack had to be taken out to use. One plug bedside taken by their clock. Lots of odd noises: sounds ~toilet running, the refrigerator buzzed periodically, elevator, people slamming doors repeatedly for long periods of time at ~5 a.m. and also at ~11 p.m. There were also people moving and dropping things and running about the room above us: doing what is anybody's imagination...haven't they heard of running outside in 70 degree weather? TV remote turned on both TVs, since they were on a shared wall. Light switches weren't logical. Uncomfortable kitchen chairs. Tables outdoors in front of our windows, a bit unnerving when people lingered there. Breakfast had many choices, but got extraordinarily crowded, at or past capacity at times, surprisingly one of those in the final 1/2 hour. Pool area, though a ways from our room, was nice, main pool reasonably warm, hot tub hot and vigorous jets, little kids in the latter at times, public restrooms nearby that anybody can and does use. Scenic, flat walking path in the back of the hotel. In summary, the cons > pros.

Overall I give this hotel 5+ stars and would for sure stay there again the next time I return to San Diego.

I was upgraded to a larger room which was clean and well appointed. The furniture in the living room was in good condition but is out of date and not very high quality. The phone wouldn't work for inhouse call so I had to go down to the front desk (4 floors down and in a different building) to set up wake up calls. There were 2 alarm clocks in the rooms--one didn't work; one did. I wasn't in the room very much during the day and did not have time to see or use the pool or the breakfast set up. Overall it was fine and the staff was very helpful and happy to serve.

The breakfast items were fresh and offered an excellent variety for my wife, who is gluten-free. The room was clean and comfortable.

We had an excellent experience staying at Homewood Suites Liberty Station in San Diego for five nights with our family. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The complimentary breakfast was a great perk, offering a nice variety to start each day. The location is very convenient, especially being close to the airport, and the free shuttle service made travel stress-free. Overall, it was a comfortable and hassle-free stay, and we would definitely consider returning in the future.

Absolutely wonderful hotel in a great area. The suite was clean and fit our needs perfectly. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we’ve had. Staff was excellent, from check-in to check-out. Beds were comfortable, but the pillows were a little soft for our taste. The location was beautiful and convenient. Even though the location is close to the airport, the rooms were basically sound proof. The blackout curtains were perfect. If I could change anything, it would be the shower heads. Although the rain shower was nice, the water pressure was a little low for this type of shower heads. We will most definitely stay here again.

All of the staff is friendly and so helpful. I do suggest that the girl in the kitchen with green hair smiles a little more. Everyone else looks so happy and friendly. BTW-the free breakfast is excellent. Great coffee too!

We stay here several times a year. This particular Homewood Suites has one of the best breakfast buffets of the chain. Lots of local flavor. The location is excellent, close to all of the things Liberty Station has to offer. The staff has always been very helpful, and they have an on-demand airport shuttle. You will hear airplanes, but that's true of a surprisingly large part of San Diego.

Cannot say enough great things about this property or the staff! From check in to check out our stay could not be any more perfect. The breakfast was amazing, the rooms were super clean and the staff above and beyond! I would recommend this hotel and will be returning!

The room was a spacious studio with a balcony and a fully equipped kitchen. Everything was very clean, cozy, and well maintained. The kitchen utensils were in great condition, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was excellent — a buffet with a great variety of food and drinks. The location is fantastic, right by the water, with a beautiful walking area along the bay. There are also several restaurants nearby, as well as a Starbucks. The staff was very friendly and attentive, always ready to help. The airport shuttle service (both ways) was very convenient. Another big plus was the heated pool. However, what my son loved even more was the small basketball court — it became his favorite spot. This is truly a place where expectations were not only met but exceeded. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay for families! The location is close to shopping and attractions. My kids loved the pool and the USS Recruit. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Our only issue was that our toilet backed up twice during our four-night stay.

The rooms are beautiful and clean. Even if you don’t have house cleaning daily it would have been nice if you guys replaced dirty towels every day.

The room was perfect for me and my two teens for a week. We had a kitchenette and tv and then two separated bedrooms that both had a bathroom which allowed us some space. I had a balcony in the room with the queen bed it was perfect. The breakfast was great, tons of options and high quality. The staff was friendly. Housekeeping left me an extra blanket because I would read in the mornings on the balcony. It was a great experience especially for the price. I would definitely stay again!!!

I really like staying in the Homewood suites when I travel with my family. We get enough room the stretch out and the suites are well equipped. The breakfast was excellent and had a good selection of hot items and cold foods such as cereals, yogurt, and fruit. My only issue was the air conditioner did not blow equally to all rooms in the suite. We had one room that got really cold as compared to the other two rooms. The beds were comfortable and I did not have much issue with sleep. I could occasionally hear an airplane but they never woke me up.

Everything was good except for breakfast and check in timing. I understand standard checkin is around 4 PM but we get early checkin almost all the time (even with additional fee). But checkin was quite late for us in that regard

Pool was lovely and refreshing, perfect temperature and very clean. Ideal location to visit local areas of interest, to include U.S.S. The only thing I would say that was a bit of a downer was the “heated” pool, I was expecting it to be warm but it was actually pretty cold still. We still managed to play for a bit before getting out. Overall a great experience and will definitely be coming back.

I booked right before checking in close to midnight when my connecting flight was missed. The front desk could not have been nicer, they are friendly, helpful and efficient. The hotel was immaculate and nicely stocked with sundries and some meal/snack options to purchase and prepare in the in-room kitchen. The room was lovely. Really, really nice. Breakfast was really nice too with plenty of options (the overnight oats were delicious). Big kudos to the staff there they do a great job and they have a shuttle to the airport that was on-time and a quick ride. 5 Stars +.

This hotel is cool and modern. The staff is incredible and friendly. The breakfast staff deserves special recognition. They work hard and prepare some pretty good breakfast. I was very pleased. Everything was really perfect. The location is near the airport, so you'll hear planes all day, but the windows are pretty good and I like airplanes, anyway. The parks and walking paths around the area are wonderful.

The hotel is located directly on a green belt with direct views of an estuary. Very walkable to shopping, restaurants, and a marina across the walking bridge. Pool and a small basketball court available for recreation, but the best activity is getting outside and enjoying the beautiful surroundings

Everyone associated with the property, from the front desk personnel, cleaning people, breakfast staff and shuttle drivers were truly perfection. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. The breakfast changed daily with great choices, with both traditional and local cuisine. The grounds were neat and the property was clean.

This was such a great stay. the suite was such a great size for me, my husband, and baby. It had such a nice view towards the bay. We loved the walking path along the hotel and the bay. It was very close to the Food Market and also all of the San Diego attractions. We loved it and will continue to stay here when we visit SD again.

I have stayed at this property many times. I like the location and the spacious rooms. But I have noticed a degradation in service (actually across all Hilton Properties) recently. I had to request the room be refreshed after 3 days. (It had not been done previously during my four night stay.) I understand the staffing issues since Covid, but I think of Hilton as being a step above the others, so I do have some minimum expectations as to what to expect during my stay. Other than that, the breakfast was good, and my stay was pleasant.

Fabulous Hotel! Room was spacious and clean. Amenities were abundant, to include a lovely pool and hot tub. Breakfast was tasty and satisfying and facilities kept clean. Hotel was located by the water and was very convenient as we took our dog with us. What stood out to me the most was the fact that we were able to leave our dog in our room while we went out to dinner in the evening. The hotel had no problem with that. I wish more hotels would follow their lead on this one! Absolutely loved our stay here and would most definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay. Very nice location right near the water, next to the airport if leaving out the next day for a flight. The rooms were clean and spacious. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite and it was great I'm glad I got the 2 bedroom. Each room had their own bathrooms. This was a great location to all of the local attractions. I asked for extra pillows and towels and they were in our room waiting for us. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast is awesome. There is a lot of choices to pick from including the make your own waffles which the grandbabies and I loved. They are always refilling everything so the food doesn't run outand it is always fresh and hot and it tasted great. There was waffles, eggs, sausage, hash browns, yogurt different types, oatmeal different types, bagels, English muffins, toast, several different jellies, cream cheese, butter, syrups, friut melons mix, whole apples, bananas, oranges, different toppings for the waffles and OJ, coffee and more. Excellent customer service. We plan on staying there again. Thanks for a great stay

Horrible experience. Extremely rude customer service. They cancelled our room reservation and rented it to another party. We still got charged for the full amount and did not get a refund.

Sarabeth was absolutely amazing and her hospitality and warmth went above and beyond. It was honestly the type of service that is reserved for 5 Star stays. This hotel is lucky to have and should cherish her. Needless to say, the staff gave us an exceptional welcoming back home to the states. The room was immaculate and well appointed. We reserved a one bedroom bay view king suite and it was perfect for our needs. Made use of the full side fridge and stove. Pool and hot tub were a plus. Giving this hotel a 5 star review but as feedback must advise that the breakfast buffet deserves more of a 3 star review. We were disappointed at the lack of options of pastries & very sadly prepared food. Only things we found edible were the scrambled eggs, apple and a slice of toast and therefore visited Trader Joe's & Vons (a 3 min drive from the hotel) for groceries to prepare breakfast in the hotel room kitchen the second morning of our stay so this could use improvement. However, that aside, I would and do absolutely intend to repeat a stay here in the future.

This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in. This hotel is extremely clean. It has all the amenities you could ask for. The breakfast is superb! The price of the hotel is very reasonable for the excellent quality and the extremely friendly staff. They made our stay very enjoyable. We had a cancellation of a flight and we got the same room.💯+ if I could give them 10 stars, I would. Way to go Hilton.

Hotel was immaculate, and the staff was amazing. We had a later flight home on the day of check-out and they held our luggage AND arranged transportation to the airport even though it was well after check out time! 5 stars!

Outing and the room hadn’t been cleaned. We even called front desk to remind them. We were told they were on the way up. We had to request sheets and towels and make the bed ourselves late that evening. The breakfast was delicious and the front desk gal when checking in was absolutely amazing.

The room itself had several issues. There was a noticeable hole in the floor, and the room was uncomfortably hot. While the temperature issue was eventually fixed after notifying staff, a screw was left behind and ended up in my foot, which was unacceptable. When the hole in the floor was mentioned, the staff member responded with “here we go again,” suggesting this was a known problem. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations and was very disappointing for the price paid.

Nice place to stay with family - quiet & clean room, with shops nearby and walkway near water front. Had good few days during Xmas holidays. Service can be improved tad bit, as shampoo was missing and not refilled even after notifying it at reception.

Breakfast is included daily, which is highly convenient when staying with children. The room included a king-sized bed, a queen-sized sectional sofa bed, a table, and two chairs. It also featured a small balcony facing the north building, a reasonably stocked kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave oven, and dishwasher. While the king bed may not be as comfortable for everyone, the sofa bed was sufficient for two people. The bathroom was equipped with a stand-in shower and a toilet. It was well-maintained and stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. However, the toilet paper was sandpaper, so it is advisable to bring your own if you prefer not to experience discomfort during your stay. The bathroom room awkwardly swings open into the sink area, which is located outside the bathroom. Overall, the room was soundproofed effectively. While flights taking off and landing at San Diego airport can be heard, the sound is significantly reduced when the balcony door is closed. Room service is offered every other day. A significant advantage for electric vehicle (EV) owners is the availability of multiple onsite charging stations. These stations allow for overnight vehicle recharging, which incurs a customer-paid fee. Onsite parking is priced at $21 per night, but it is not covered parking

The room was comfortable and quiet, but the bed placement put one of the corners in an awkward position near a wall that made it a little challenging to get in and out of bed. The elevator in our building was a bit "janky" and made noises that made us unsure as to whether it would make it to our selected floor (but it always did). Breakfast was decent, but could be better with a little more effort. Great location for us. We would go back there.

Superb option for a hotel stay near the airport. Opted for the 2 king bedroom suite and it was ideal for 2 adults / 2 teens (didn't have to hear them fight about sharing a sofa bed). The night we were there complimentary snacks in the lobby were offered, including drinks, which was a nice welcome surprise. The breakfast was superb, with a wide variety. Our morning there were eggs (real), an egg scramble, pork carnitas and tortillas and salsa (Amazing), in addition to hash browns, sausage, assorted cereals, hot oatmeal, fruit, waffles to make, assorted breads, etc. Very pleased and would definitely recommend and stay again. Staff all very friendly and accommodating.

Adrianna was the best. We were lost on our way to the hotel and she was so patient with me on the phone when I was asking directions. She welcomed us upon arrival and gave us our complimentary water. She explained that we have a complimentary breakfast. The room was so nice too. I did not expect that it has microwave, stove and utensils as well as pots for cooking. It was so clean and cozy.

The bathroom had a strong unpleasant chemical smell, we were about to ask for a room change, but because we were only at night there, we survived. Shuttle woks only till 9pm so we had to take an Uber to get there from the airport. It was also very noisy at night, it was hard to sleep AC and freezer were so loud we had to turn them off

Our stay was great!

Breakfast was equally satisfactory for the adults and grandkids. Sadly the kids ended up ill and we had to leave before we had planned. The two employees at the front desk,Freddy and Sarabeth was so kind and helpful. They empathized with our having to cancel the majority of our vacation, sent toys to our grandkids and even arranged for snacks for our trip home. We definitely will return to this hotel.

For my purposes which was recovery from surgery the place was excellent. The staff was very helpful and nice. There's a lot of areas to walk around the hotel that are lovely. Although the Hotel does not have a restaurant there are several in easy walking distance. I needed a kitchen and this one provided one that was sufficient. The decoration of the rooms is not as good as some other places like the Marriott but it was a fully accessible room which is what I needed. You can take an Uber for 5 or 10 dollars to get to supermarkets as well as Old Town and Little Italy. As I mentioned the staff was very helpful. The breakfast was decent although it was pretty much the same thing from day to day. They also need to get a real gym as the one they had was Tiny with very little equipment. Also what annoyed me that the picture they show when you make the reservation was not of the place at all but actually a place called Liberty Station about a half mile away. That's just wrong! However, that aside the place was perfect for my needs.

Clean and big enough room for a family of three.

Room was clean, tidy and looked recently renovated. Staff was polite, friendly and very helpful. Shuttle to the airport is a great amenity and super quick and easy to use. Free breakfast helps you start your day on a high note. Close proximity to the food hall in Liberty Station. Would definitely stay here again.

I really like the idea of having a suite, so I can prepare my own meals if I want. The staff at Homewood Suites are always friendly and helpful. Of course the location in Liberty Station, is close to everything, including the airport. My only criticism, and it's a small one, is that the facility looked a little tired in places. Given its location, I know it is heavily used, so they get a pass on that one. I will be back.

The rooms are nice and clean, they charged for parking even if you didn't stay whole day which I thought they could have been more reasonable, if you leave at 3 am they should work with you considering you already spent 1380.00 $.for 4 days 3 hours of a day and charged for 24. Breakfast is good food and all that staff is really nice. I will most likely look for somewhere else to stay next time I come to visit.

We stayed for 5 days and had a positive experience. The breakfasts were slightly different everyday and offered variety. The staffs were all amazing! They were extremely polite and friendly. I experienced better staff service at this hotel than a different 4 star hotel I recently stayed at in the same city.

It was clean, quiet, calm, and accessible to lots of things. I loved the balcony off my room. That was a nice touch. Coffee was great and served all day. Breakfast changed every morning and was actually good. Hot tub was not hot though. Like a kid’s bath water. Only downside. Would have been nice to have it hot but if that’s the only complaint then I’ll take it. Decent price too. Not super walkable to the beaches but that’s fine.

Excellent place for vacation

The best part of this hotel though is the staff. Truly customer service orientated, friendly and they go out of their way to help make your stay comfortable. Kudos to the staff and management. The Liberty station location is an interesting one. On foot, not fully accessible, but there are some things nearby and buses within 10-15 min walk to get into downtown, old town or mission bay. The free shuttle to and from the airport came in handy and despite being so close to the airport, it wasn't too loud. It was much louder over by liberty market. San Diego was an absolute gem and this hotel was a convenient location with a nice kitchenette that made it easy to make meals in our suite. There's a Trader Joes within walking distance as well. We had a fabulous stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel again in the future.

Nice property and excellent staff...especially for the breakfast service. The ladies work very very hard to make the mealtime very appetizing and fulfilling. There is an issue of patrolling after hour noise and disturbances in the courtyard when folks are resting. Really intrudes on quiet and sleep while trying to get rest before the airlines start flying. Bring earplugs and keep windows shut.

Property was mouldy

I I would only stay here if we ever come back to San Diego! They accommodated my request for the top floor because I hate hearing people walk above me. Everything was clean and orderly and and all of the staff were very friendly. We could hear the planes outside, but we got used to it and it didn't bother us. We barely heard them inside. Liberty Station itself felt like a quiet refuge away from busy San Diego. The pool was awesome and the kids found things to do such as nearby playground and free cornhole and board games on property. There's a basketball hoop but we didn't use it. Our family of four stayed in a two-bedroom suite which also had two bathrooms. It was amazing! Cleaning staff comes every other day.

Homewood Suites was only one night before we could move to our base hotel. This is my first HS stay and we could be happier. The room was a little pricy fo the costs. Breakfast on Sunday was great!

We LOVED our stay at Homewood Suites San Diego Airport-Liberty Station. Our family of 3 adults, 2 kids stayed in the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom mobility/hearing access suite (room 112). The king bedroom has a roll-in shower and the queen bedroom, a bathtub/shower combo. There is a roomy fold out couch in the separate living room for the kids. It was so nice for grandma to have her own space. The kitchen has a full size fridge. It felt like having an apartment with all of the great hotel amenities. The free hotel breakfast is far superior and plentiful compared to other hotels I've stayed in. The kids loved the pool and hot tub. We were within a 15-20 minute drive of every activity we did (USS Midway, Zoo, Balboa Park). There is also a beautiful paved path where you can stroll along the waterfront all the way to Liberty Station where there are some great restaurants and cafes (15-20 minute easy walk). The area was clean and felt very safe. The hotel has a free airport shuttle from/to SAN. Just call when you arrive and have picked up your bags. When departing, let the front desk know ahead of time when you need to leave. The hotel is located really close to the SAN Airport and a military base so you will hear planes flying over a lot, but we never had a problem with hearing them in our suite. Very centrally located to what i needed with a Starbucks and other restaurants in very close proximity. Lovely views.

Everything is close by

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The only issue we had was the conditioner and body soap were not filled so we ran out of them on the first day out of our three day day. I will definitely be staying here again.
