Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and convenient location, particularly for those attending events at Petco Park. However, guests frequently express dissatisfaction with the parking situation, citing tight spaces and high fees, and some find the surrounding area to be sketchy or noisy.

A great location, close to everything but not chaotic. One of the best breakfast offerings at a hotel that I have seen in a long time and the food was very fresh and tasty. A really nice way to start the day. Parking is a bit of a hassle- I suggest you prepay with your reservation, you will save $. One thing no one told us is that you need your key to get out of the parking garage. I had turned in my keys at checkout and was stuck! No gate attendant present, but luckily and other hotel guest happened by while I was trying to get out and allowed me the use of their key. A very important thing that guests need to be aware of, disappointed that no one mentioned that to us at check out! Other than that, a great stress-free stay.

Hotel was clean and everything worked well. No complaints. Only complaint we have is we booked several months before arrival and we were not informed the property was under renovation, including the pool. Had we known, we would have stayed at another property. Just sayin’

Garage signage poor for exiting out of property. i will not going back to that property.

There was one front desk staff memebr that was less than friendly; everyone else was great. The property was clean but could use some updating; however, overall it was exactly as expected. Good location and good value for the price.

Kind, profesdional staff. Nice to have a nice warm breakfast before starting your day.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the staff was friendly, but the water pressure in my room wasn’t great, which made showering a little less enjoyable. The hotel itself was convenient for exploring downtown and getting around the area. While there were a few things that could be improved, the breakfast and location helped make the stay worthwhile. I would consider staying again if the water pressure issue was addressed.

Clean room good breakfast variety. Fresh fruits and pancake batter machine and muffins and eggs and bacon and coffee teas juices and cinnamon rolls were delicious

- 5/5
The room was very clean, the staff were very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was good. I would stay there again and would recommend it to others. The hotel is in walking distance of just about every thing, including the Gaslamp District, Petco Park and many more things. That about says everything for now.

The staff were very helpful. The hotel is older and could use some updating. The free breakfast was very good.

What I liked about the property was the breakfast options. What I didn’t like about the property was the incline going to it. And the rooms were cleaned as well we found pepperonis underneath the bed. The bathroom door is a sliding door. The pool was out of service. And there is no free parking. Parking is 35$ but down the street there is one for 20$

They accommodated our 1st flr stay . Breakfast was amazing The parking space

The room smelled like cigarettes and marijuana severely and the hotel manager said they were unable to transfer us rooms. I had to book a completely different hotel and lose money and time due to this. The room was not safe to stay in with my daughter.
- 3.5/5
The location was great and it felt safe. There were no homeless people around. I also loved that there was coffee and tea available 24/7. The beds make noise with every single movement; they probably need to be replaced. The soundproofing in the rooms is terrible—I could hear everything being said in the next room. Furthermore, I stayed at this hotel for a business trip, and when I requested an invoice at check-out, I was told, 'We don't provide invoices for bookings made through Booking.com.' However, when I checked Booking.com's policy, it clearly states that they do not issue invoices and that guests must request them from the property. Only after I insisted did the receptionist issue the invoice on their own initiative. This policy of yours makes absolutely no sense. During a previous stay in Los Angeles booked through Booking.com, the hotel sent me the invoice before I even asked, yet your policy leaves guests in a very difficult position. It took the receptionist just 30 seconds to give me the invoice. If I hadn't insisted and they hadn't provided it, I would have had to pay $1,055 out of my own pocket since I wouldn't have been able to submit the invoice to my company. If you are going to put people in such a difficult situation, I absolutely do not recommend this hotel for business trips."

Room is clean, water pressure in the shower is not strong enough. Parking is narrow and parking info should be specific, there should be a notice on the front desk where you can park your car so that clients won’t get violation notice like us. Informed the front desk about the violation notice sticked on driver’s window, but front desk personnel just said to call the phone number stated on the sticker.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and my room was clean with a comfortable bed. However, one of the main reasons I booked this hotel was because of the gym facilities, which turned out to be a major disappointment. Most of the gym equipment was not functional—the bike pedals were broken, and 2 out of 3 treadmills were out of service. This forced me to spend extra money and time finding an outside gym to complete my workouts. This was not what I expected when booking this hotel, and unfortunately, because of this experience, I will likely not stay here again.

The location is great! It’s a clean hotel. It's mostly the staff. The rooms are amazing, the buffet breakfast is one of the best I've had, but the staff is just simply rude. No smiles, no courtesy, no customer service. They are entirely rude and they seem like they don't want to be there. You'd think that they greet you with two stones in their hands.

We ended up at the Holiday Inn Express Downtown because the first hotel we booked was not a good fit for us. Owen (desk clerk) and the other staff were friendly , helpful, and accommodating to our need to have early check in. Owen helped us store our luggage until he was able to get us a room. He also called me when the room was ready. The staff left water and snacks with a sweet note outside our room. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was filling. A 10 out of 10!!! We are looking forward to our next visit to San Diego and will definitely stay at the HIE again.

Very clean, friendly staff comfortable. Breakfast buffet was great. Eggs or omelet, bacon, sausage pancakes, biscuita gravy, fruit muffins bagels oast cereal. Juice coffee milk

I booked this reservation over a month in advance, I’d like to say 2 months almost. Once I checked in, Owen helped me. He was rude off the start. I asked if there was a possibility of being in a room facing the city/ ocean side. He said the room he was giving me was their last one. I said if there’s anything he can find please, he chuckled and said there’s nothing left. I said ok and asked if the pool was working, he said no. I asked if he knew when it would be up and running again since I’d be there for more than one night. He said “I don’t know you could keep checking”. I was caught off guard but I had been on the road for so long so I brushed it off. He abruptly asked if I was parking in their garage, I asked if there was a fee. He said yes there’s an additional fee or if not I could find somewhere else. I asked if I’d be able to park outside and he said he said he didn’t know and to follow whatever the street signs say. I said okay and just grabbed my keys and went to my room. No friendliness, information about the amenities, parking, or my stay (unless I asked). The next day I had gone to the front desk to request more towels, as I waited in line overheard him speaking to a Spanish speaking older guest and as the guest was struggling to explain an issue. Owen looked at him and said “I can’t understand anything you’re saying”

The breakfast far exceeded our expectations. The variety of choices were astounding. Our bathroom was outdated. The toilet reminded me of one I'd find at a rest stop. We had to flush it several times to get the bowl to clear. After a long day of walking, I wanted to soak in the tub, but the bottom skid pads were black and the drain looked like it hadn't been cleaned. So I took a shower instead.

Old building in remodeling. Clean room, quiet
- 1/5
Room and facilities were good. Accounting staff and process are scamster like. They put 6 charges for 4 rooms and cant give any straight answer for the charges. No accountability, please be very careful if you are booking more than 1 room and especially if you are using a third party like expedia to do the bookings.
- 5/5
This property is in a good location, pretty centrally located to touristy things. Relatively close to Balboa Park that's probably walkable, but we took a rideshare. It's a 20- or so minute walk to Gaslamp, but you will encounter plenty of homeless along the way. No one questionable was loitering outside of the hotel, but a room key is required to go anywhere in the hotel to keep non-guests from entering. The breakfast was quite good. Every day they had eggs, either bacon or sausage, biscuits, potatoes, pancakes, cereals, yogurt and whole fruit. The staff was nice, but a housekeeping person walked into my room on checkout day after knocking quietly and not waiting more than 10 seconds for me to answer - and this was 30 min before standard checkout time and after I had secured late checkout a couple of hours before. She was apologetic, but there's no reason to enter someone's room before checkout time who hasn't checked out yet. We received a corner room that was quite large but on the street level, and the traffic noise was pretty bad. We got used to it by the third night. San Diego is very hilly, and this hotel is on a really steep hill. You'll get out of breath walking if you're not in good shape.
- 3/5
The hotel’s location was both a positive and a negative. We were able to walk to restaurants and the waterfront area (roughly a mile) but because the hotel is downtown the traffic/emergency vehicle noise was an issue for us.
- 5/5

Customer service was terrible it seemed like they didn’t want to accommodate us the customers had attitudes except one young man his name was Owen he was helpful but the other two were terrible need to go back to customer service school or fix there attitude wouldn’t recommend this place even my worst friend

- 1/5
We stayed 3 nights without receiving any room service. Therefore, I’ll room was never cleaned during our entire stay.
- 3/5
Hotel was fine. Front desk personnel not friendly nor accommodating. Welcoming personality non existent. Both check in & check out experiences unpleasant and awkward. Please educate your staff to be respectful, polite and well mannered.
- 2/5
The staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. My room was spotlessly clean. The downside is if you are any sort of a light sleeper or sensitive to noise, this is not the hotel for you. The walls are extremely thin and if you’re in one of the rooms with adjoining doors, it’s kind of like sleeping in a hostel. You can hear people walking, sneezing and flushing the toilet in the room joining yours.

Good, clean hotel in a central location.
- 4/5
I recently stayed at this hotel, and I was disappointed by the overall experience. The property lacked essential amenities. Additionally, the staff interactions were unprofessional, with several team members displaying discourteous behavior. While the location was convenient and nice, the lack of hospitality and amenities means I would not recommend this hotel or stay here again.
- 5/5
Clean, easy to check in, friendly. Close to everything I like everything
- 5/5
only stayed for one night. staff was helpful and informative. the entrance was under construction so it was a little hard to manage three kids going up the ramp
- 1.5/5
The room layout was nice. Building construction across the street! Can’t sleep in on vacation!!! The bed bounces so no good sleep again! The bathroom is smaller than any cruise ship we’ve been on or any other hotel! The rooms are really only good for a single person.
- 1/5
Hotel does not provide any water. The facility is under construction . Parking on premises is very expensive.
- 1.5/5
Some of the front staff was rude. They don’t have a change machine and the front desk will not exchange coins for laundry so you I have to walk to a convenience store and try to get them to give you coins. Very annoying. The hotel is quite old and dated and has a musty smell in rooms.

- 4/5
Convince to medical needs Parking garage very tight
- 5/5
Breakfast is fresh and so much to choose from. Much better than the expensive hotels where you have to pay a fortune for breakfast on top of the very high room rate.
- 5/5
This property was a decent choice. It is at a top of a hill, so steep walking from downtown. It is also the furthest from the Gaslamp area and Petco Park, but still walkable. The best part was the hearty breakfast buffet! The buffet was perfect for my teenage son, who wakes up early and hungry. He also enjoyed using the weights in the fitness center.
- 4/5
Breakfast was nice.
- 3/5
I wish the staff would be friendly, even though they answered questions when asked , but not a smile to see!
- 4/5
Good option if you’re using Uber, as parking is limited and paid. Aside from that, everything else was pretty good, including the breakfast.
- 1/5
It’s a nice hotel. Good breakfast and well attended room. The front desk staffs were nice and helpful. Why I give it only one star? Because I really wish I knew before the booking: the parking garage is Horribly tight. Unless you’re driving a subcompact car and don’t care about scratching, try other places (or not to drive here). So the one star is for the alerting purposes only. The hotel itself is nice.
- 2/5
The sink was not draining!
- 3/5
Staff was great. Room was small, bed too hard and floor was dirty. I had to wash my feet after walking on the carpet.
- 5/5
I only had one issue with our stay. When I booked the reservation, I had asked about shuttle service. I was told there was a shuttle from the airport, MCRD, and Downtown. That is the main reason I booked this hotel, as my son was graduating from MCRD. I even called again before our trip to make sure our transportation was in place. I spent a fortune on Uber rides that I had not figured in to our travel budget.

Two issues. The parking facilities terrible with very tight corners. And the toilets. Well just lets say it not good for males to sit down without dipping tackle in the water
- 3/5
The location is not bad. The hotel a bit outdated and needs some cosmetic lift. Breakfast is fresh and has some variety better than at Hilton for sure. You have to remind the front desk to clean your room always.
- 3/5
Breakfast was really good and the staff supplied it constantly
- 1/5
Hotel room was super dirty, the bathroom tub looked like it had not been cleaned. We tried calling down to the lobby but no one answers the phone. So I had to go down and talk to someone. They offered me another room next door and I went to check that one and the restroom was dirty. Normally I am not that picky but we had a baby traveling with us. So we stayed in our original room. We laid towels on the shower and the next day during cleaning we came back after they were done and those towels weren’t even removed so we knew once again those showers were not being cleaned. Staff was also very rude and short, they seemed like they didn’t even want to help clients. Overall bad experience
- 4/5
Parking garage was very narrow and difficult to drive in and we had a small suv. Property manager was notified that the sink in room was not draining properly but nothing was done. Room itself was nice and clean. I would stay here again, just be aware of very tight garage a large vehicle may not be able to access.

I would like to extend special thanks to the front desk representatives, Mike and Kamen. Mike is highly experienced, professional, and demonstrates excellent listening and problem-solving skills. He treats all guests equally with genuine care and enthusiasm. Kamen is also a dedicated employee—very patient, friendly, and hardworking.

Terrific shower. Not every day room service, but explained it as maybe short on staff. Had a room with double queens, rather than king which was requested. Would definitely recommend this Hotel.

Night time staff desk worker. Homophobic. Harassment. Constant watch felt like I was in prison
- 5/5
Full buffet breakfast was fresh and delicious, with many choices. Excellent customer service from the front desk staff. They were even willing to hold my luggage in their storage, after I checked out, due to a later flight. Property conveniently located within walking distance to Gaslamp, with many restaurants and shops and only a few blocks to the Bay and Pointside Pier. Highly recommend this property for your next stay.

Clean rooms and not a lot of noise
- 5/5
Thanks Mike Cruz great help in finding my left stuff.

Receptionist recommended a great Italian restaurant on the corner. It was quick and good.
- 5/5
Hello! The breakfast buffet was very good. It was fresh, and had a variety of items to choose from each day
- 3/5
Overall ok hotel. Staff was hit or miss depending on who’s work at the specific shift. Felt some staff was just rushing through their job. Some staff were nice. Bed was very comfortable. I would NOT stay here again though.

Over all great experience from check-in to check-out.

Came for a week long business trip. Good clean room, nice breakfast that was convenient. No complaints.
- 2/5
Our bed had so much hair everywhere!!!!! Pet hair, human hair :(
- 1/5
Staff was rude, our water was cut from 11am-5pm
- 4/5
everything was mostly good. unfortunately, i stayed at a time when something was wrong with the shower water temperature. they already had maintenance scheduled for the day i checked out so its probably fine now. otherwise, i was cool with the hotel/staff and would stay there again.
- 4/5
Room was exactly like the pictures. And the balcony was amazing
- 3/5
Parking garage is not easy to get to, the lifts are quite slow, and the bathroom door slides shut (no locks) and leaves an open gap!
- 5/5
I loved my room it was very spacious and super clean. The blankets super clean and cozy. The only think I dislike was the parking super tight spaces. And the fact that they charge for it :( other than that everything was perfect.
- 3/5
Room was comfortable, but a few essentials and amenities could be improved. It would be nice if the hotel provided welcome or complimentary water bottles or snacks. We only found out on the last day that there was a coffee vending machine near the reception. This information was not mentioned to us at check-in. Sharing these details earlier would really enhance the guest experience.
- 3/5
The staff worked uncerfully they gave us the room where is the workers working they painting walls. After that we have to go again to check in area with our bags and take another's room.
- 2/5
Too much noise on the side where I was given my room construction going on I should have been given a warning that noise starts early we couldn't sleep in during our vacation
- 5/5
Great! We stay before Thanksgiving Day. It was quite and pleasant time in this hotel.
- 4/5
Stuff in the garage were very helpful when we were parking our truck and getting out of the garage.
- 4/5
They were gracious in helping me reduce the stay and a very helpful team.
- 4/5
The staff provided courteous service, the food was excellent, and the location was conveniently close to Petco.

Friendly welcoming front desk especially Hope, cleanliness, accessibility to coffee, water, gym.
- 4/5
Room was clean but had a funky odor. Omelets were delicious. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Toilets should be taller. Heard voices from next room all night.
- 1/5
Room still wasn't ready for check in. Holiday inn gave me a room with constant noise. Housekeeping came in for some reason while i was completely naked getting out 9f the shower.

Amenities
- 4/5
Nice clean room, very courteous staff during check-in and secure parking
- 2/5
Not clean. Curtains did not close properly. Smell. Parking garage was ridiculously designed and very difficult to even drive in or park. Do not suggest this hotel.
- 4/5
Had a nice stay . Thanks
- 3/5
Breakfast is good my kids enjoy it!
- 4/5
Not sure if you could see water from the hotel. We faced north over the building construction across the street. Positives - the staff and breakfast were both excellent. Hope at the Front Desk in particular provided great customer service. Negative - area around the hotel is pretty dirty (hotel is quite clean). Not a lot around the hotel to do. A restaurant across the street was closed the entire weekend. Coffee shop also across the street opened after 9am. You are a short walk to Gaslamp District as well as the trolley.
- 5/5
Pretty. Good
- 3/5
The ac unit was so
- 3/5
Itself was clean but carpet throughout and in rooms is dirty and worn. Be aware that there seems to be almost daily loud garbage collection early each morning. In addition if other guests are noisy this carries along the whole length of the one long corridor to most of the rooms on the floor level.
- 5/5
Breakfast outstanding. Wonderful rooms!

The hotel failed to submit a report about what happened. I am in a lot of pain. One of their employees initially offered to arrange for me to see a doctor and said the hotel would cover it, but another employee denied it. Later, someone texted me claiming that a 25% credit had been applied. This was false—no credit was applied to the card I paid with, nor to the card charged for incidentals. Even if the credit had been issued, it would not begin to cover the cost of medical bills. The negligence and irresponsibility of Holiday Inn has caused me serious harm. It has now been over a week, and the hotel has neither applied the credit nor offered to cover medical expenses from my fall.
- 5/5
Safe
- 5/5
Great hotel if you dont want to pay big prices. Location is a little far from everything, a 15/20 min walk but still easily doable
- 5/5
The room was clean, the breakfast was really delicious and nice amenity to offer. The staff was very friendly.
- 4/5
Staff was unable to provide accommodation for a fan due to lack of housekeeping staff? Was told to call back multiple times and then still not able to provide it
- 5/5
Great staff. Good coffee
- 5/5
It was a very clean and safe place to stay
- 4/5
Check in was great and everyone was helpful. We liked the their was parking in an on-site garage for our truck.
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Staff was super friendly and helpfull. Rooms were clean and so comfortable. The hotel was so close to everything and just perfect for our get away.
- 4/5
Decent sized, clean room. Great breakfast in the morning. Barn doors on the washroom are not great.
- 5/5
Great to have a garage, but tiny spacing and sharp turns made me nervous.
- 5/5
It was very ckean and convenient
- 5/5
This is a solid place to say. Big bed, nice balcony. Friendly staff member (Carmen). Excellent breakfast. Only thing to be warned about: the hotel is on a step incline so if you are walking to it be prepared. I would definitely stay again.
- 4/5
The location was good and in a quite area. The AC never got cold but we were not in the room for long. The view from the room was obstructed by the building in front.

- 5/5
Very clean and breakfast was really good
- 5/5
Great central location with onsite parking (for additional daily fee). Room was clean and comfortable. Had a nice outdoor area with tables and chairs. Friendly and helpful staff!
- 4/5
The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The neighborhood around the hotel was less pleasant. Plenty of homeless people and the sidewalks were not particularly clean.
- 2/5
Was told that the room would be ready at 4pm so stuck around till 4 just to be told that it wasn’t ready and they had no idea what time it would be ready.
- 5/5
Thanks Mr Garza ,from San Antonio Texas
- 5/5
Other than the rude desk gal BEFORE arrival (seemed like manager or owner) and odd billing process after using 3rd party site, employees were awesome, stay was great, breakfast wonderful.
- 5/5
Ariel is the best!!
- 4/5
Breakfast was amazing. Pool was smaller than expected and in a nook with little to no sun.
- 4/5
After we checked in, we went to the pool and there were no towels. The parking garage is small. The breakfast was good though.
- 2/5
Location was decent, but not as good as the hotel makes it out to be. I like that it was economically friendly being put in one room with a family of 6- it wasn’t toooo cramped. We had an ADA-compliant room, which did not fit our family profile. My daughters could not even lock the bathroom door. The staff, aside from a couple individuals were not very accommodating and generally unwelcoming. It was amazing to me someone asked that I walk a few city blocks to get change for laundry and the check-in process took forever. Coincidentally, a candidate interviewing for regional manager of the Holiday Inn chain was in line with me and I perceived he was not at all pleased with the reception of his visit.
- 5/5
The Staff was very friendly, especially towards my Familia (they helped them during their arrival). The Breakfast was very good and warm (Coffee was very fresh). Overall, we got plenty of rest before and after our trip to SeaWorld.
- 5/5
Volvería a hospedarme aquí
- 5/5
We loved this Holiday Inn Express very much. The Staff was awesome. The Food was excellent. We felt that our Car was very, very secure. Thank you so much for all you do for myself and our Familia Holiday Inn Express.
- 5/5
Wonderful
- 1/5
It’s so awful. The staff treated us so poorly. They absolutely did nothing to make our stay better. Our room was roasting hot. They use these small wall ACs. We also got a room on top of the dumpsters. Thanks for the 5am trash truck wake up call. I’m fine with IHG and Hotels.com. I can afford better. The hotel won’t let you use the pool If your room isn’t ready. Thanks for your awful lazy hospitality. Do not stay here. You will regret it.
- 4/5
one small problem is that the black out curtain can not close totally light coming in early hours
- 4/5
Nice and welcoming staff. Breakfast was good.
- 3/5
Was very disappointed and upset that for this expensive price yet parking wasn’t included???. Had to pay separately for underground parking. Cleaning services didn’t come first day so that was also upsetting. Also neighbors were loud. Overall, definitely not worth the money.
- 5/5
Staff was kind and worked hard. Breakfast was amazing and I enjoyed it very much. I had a very long drive back home the day of check out and wanted to sleep in a bit longer and asked for a later checkout and the hotel staff was very accommodating. This hotel location is far away enough from the nightlife so it’s not loud but close enough to Uber or drive there. About 8 mins from gas lamp and 10 mins to seaport village. Loved the location and hotel staff! When in San Diego, I would stay here again. This hotel staff exceeded my expectations! Thank you for being so accommodating.
- 3/5
I enjoyed vacationing in the Gaslamp area.
- 3/5
location is quite central
- 1/5
This property was so bad, I canceled my stay & went to another hotel. Pool was “out of service “, carpet was so stained & smelled moldy, garbage stacked in the hallways , it was ridiculous. Thank goodness Expedia refunded my money
- 5/5
Everything was excellent, breakfast was great
- 3/5
The staff were friendly.
- 4/5
Pool was closed with no sign or notice put up. When I needed a bandage for a cut I was informed that there were none in the entire hotel.
- 4/5
Fabulous beds, very comfortable. Bathroom door is more of a barn-style door that does not lock, so make sure you stay with people you are comfortable with. We stayed to visit colleges nearby (UCSD, USD) and it was a quick 15 min drive to both. There was a yummy burger joint just a 6 minute walk from the hotel, however as it got darker out, we were a little nervous walking back to the hotel due to some unhoused people meandering about. The parking situation is WILD the underground parking is tight, so I do not recommend having a large vehicle. We took a 5 minute drive down to the wharf which had easy parking, museums, waterfront restaurants, boat tours, and a pleasant walking path. Highly recommend heading down there for a day, lots to do. The room was clean and had great views of downtown. Downtown can be noisy so just be prepared! No screen on our window, but we were high enough from the street to not be worried about intruders. The complimentary breakfast has something for everyone, and there is plenty of complimentary coffee in the lobby all day and downstairs breakfast area in the morning. We also appreciated the Water Bottle Refill station, we were able to fill up our re-usable water bottles (brought from home) for free before our journeys to visit college campuses.
- 4/5
Nice
- 3/5
The one bedroom suite is only a large room, completely false advertising. Other than that the place is pretty good. There are cheaper parking options around instead of using the hotel parking - check parking spot app.
- 1/5
I also paid extra for a room with a balcony, but was placed on the first floor with no view something I felt was misleading and unacceptable. When I brought this up, there was no real effort to correct the issue or offer compensation. Overall, the stay fell far below expectations. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience with room readiness, cleanliness, and failure to deliver what was promised.
- 4/5
Excellent breakfast buffet... the ladies working there where on it!
- 3/5
Outdated carpet in hallways smelled misty dirty .
- 5/5
Would stay here again.
- 3/5
The room was good size for family, the breakfast was complete, we like it, the personal was kind, the only thing wrong was that the parking very difficult if you have a big car it may not be the best choice. Very narrow the spaces to get to parking lot
- 5/5
Stayed here on a vacation with my granddaughter. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and we felt safe walking around the neighborhood.
- 5/5
Great breakfast.
- 4/5
The location was great. It was in the middle of downtown so it was easy to get to places. The place was clean. Breakfast was great. The parking lot was a bit narrow getting around but was adequate. The USB ports were not very good. Kinda old. It would be nice if they updated those. Couldn't fully charge my phone without a block. It was a bit annoying that you had to get a separate elevator key, that our room key just didn't take care of that.
- 5/5
We are regular guests at this wonderful hotel we love everything about it. Friendly staff cleanliness and breakfast are amazing.
- 1/5
The customer service was absolutely terrible. This gentlemen with dark, curly hair and a beard (who was working the front desk and not wearing a name tag) was rude, inattentive, and unhelpful. He didn’t mention the IHG rewards program when I first got to the hotel (which is free and included a lot of perks that helped me save money). Instead, he charged me full price for the parking which was $38/night. This other employee at the front desk named Mira was great! She educated me about the program and took her time to explain the process on how to sign up. She told me by being a member, I could check in early for free and save $10/night on parking. That other gentlemen did not care about the customer or their needs; he was just doing the bare minimum. During check out, that same gentleman assisted me. When he gave me the receipt, I noticed that he charged me three times for parking instead of two. He charged me twice for the same night (one for $38 and one for $28) and the following night for $28. When I brought it to his attention, he gave me attitude and said I was wrong. He insisted that only two-night parking was charged. When I asked him to take another look, he did not admit to his mistake or apologize to me. He just processed the refund and gave me a new receipt. Whoever this gentleman was, he needs to be accounted for. Due to this experience, I will never stay at this hotel again or recommend to anyone. Very disappointing.
- 5/5
The check in staff were super nice! The place is in a bit of a sketch area if you are walking at night but for the most part i felt safe.
- 1/5
The experience was horrible. Do not recommend this “hotel”
- 4/5
The front desk was wonderful and helpfully. The room smelled a bit. Almost like a group of sweaty boys had been there.
- 3/5
Con: I ordered Uber Eats my last night at the hotel and met the Uber driver out front. I gave the driver my code and I guess he didn’t hear it or write it down because about 5 minutes later, the male Uber driver KNOCKED ON MY ROOM DOOR. I’m a female, solo traveler, traveling for work. He could not have known my room number without being told by an employee. Definitely a scary situation! The 4 previous nights were okay (neighbor room fighting a lot, not hotels fault) but there should definitely be a policy in place to not give out room numbers of guests to strangers.
- 3/5
They were quick to respond to texted questions which was appreciated.
- 5/5
It was overall a good experience and place to stay.
- 3/5
Parking issues for large suv. Room was hot despite a/c running low. Bathroom had lots of dust bunnies in shower and fan. Toilet was right behind door and was very tight in the bathroom. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Kristina was great and had excellent customer service.
- 3/5
Property is old and needs some renovation. Carpet is old and stained. Hotel smells old. It might be from the old carpet.
- 4/5
The room was nice. The staff were friendly. The parking garage was extremely tight.
- 4/5
Clean and agent are nice
- 1/5
Terrible Hotel with stock pictures roaches busted lights cement floor i have PTSD for just walking in i couldn’t get my family out fast enough
- 5/5
Great breakfast and excellent staff
- 3/5
Our stay was OK. The hotel is a little aged
- 5/5
Staff was friendly, hotel was clean.
- 2/5
Bathroom was way too small. Ac was not on when we got to the room so since it’s a window ac it took all day to cool the room down.
- 4/5
Good
- 3/5
We had issues but the manager really stepped up and made it worth the stay. We Holiday Inn Express and will keep staying at their locations.
- 2/5
Room was very dirty. Hotel very run down and in poor condition.
- 1/5
I need my receipt for my stay I asked girl at front desk. Said I needed to get from Expedia never got it. Dirties holiday inn express I have ever stayed in.The carpet smelled dirty and old.
- 2/5
Inadequate service
- 5/5
Great price and great area
- 5/5
Excelente servicio al cliente ! Excellent customer service , great location, property was very clean and breakfast was great
- 3/5
Breakfast is a treat . I like how they have variety of options and the food was refilled instantly . The curtains in the room needed to be darker to keep the sunlight out. And yes like many other reviews, the wall super thin here you could hear the staffs and people walking in the corridor or children screaming from the other side of the hall
- 1/5
The property specially the parking garage is terrible. The kid with all the make up had a terrible attitude, and didn’t program the garage key or room key correctly, when i went to park my car, i was stuck with no way to turn around, i kept ringing the bell at the gate but the kid, who got mad at me, because he was able to communicate transactions correctly took out on me by not programming the keys. But the time i got to the desk again he was gone for the day
- 5/5
Glad I chose it. Location is convenient to everything most of which is walkable. Very comfortable stay with excellent and friendly staff. Breakfast was good, gym and laundry were perfect for a multi day stay. Will stay again.
- 5/5
Nice and clean, staff was very friendly and helpful.

Some of the cleanliness was an issue and also I didn’t like the sand swirled ceiling in the lobby, other than that it was great.
