The staff not good, always grumpy faces, the rooms are old and you can listen the room right next to you room, and the corridor, And top of that you need to leave a deposit of 300 usd, wow
- 4/5
Had a great time and treated us very well.
- 1/5
It wasn’t until I contacted corporate customer service that the hotel finally agreed to move us. However, instead of providing a comparable room, we were downgraded to a smaller room, which only added to the frustration. I expected better customer service and a more reasonable response to a legitimate concern. The room condition and the way this situation was handled fell well below expectations.

Bathroom door didn’t close all the way. Water pressure in the shower was horrible. AC unit would shut off on its own! Front desk basically pushed my problem to the next shift at the desk so they didn’t have to deal with it. The front desk gave no forthcoming information. Things that would have been nice to know about the property, parking or even the area. At checkout no one told me I still needed my key card to get out of the parking lot so I was stuck and had to go back inside, very inconvenient which could have been avoided if the front desk attendants were doing their job when I checked out ( IN PERSON) the whole situation was very inconvenient and added extra time to my travel which was a pain in it self!

This hotel had the most comfortable bed and pillows that I have ever slept on at a hotel. I made a request for a room close to the elevator and I was less than 20' from the elevator. The staff was very professional and treated us extremely well. I was truly impressed with the staff's professionalism. The hotel did not have a microwave. While in town, I spent thousands of dollars on food that was unable to eat at the restaurants as well as food to eat later on in the day/night. The room did not have a microwave nor did the lobby. When I questioned the reason for no microwave, I was told that a customer accidentally set it on fire and they never replaced it. I thought that was ridiculous. During my reservation, I was quoted approximately $750 and my stay was closer to $1000 with parking. Charging for Parking at this location doesn't add much value. I understand if this were downtown or if there were outsiders looking for parking, but hotel customers should have free parking.

The room was spacious. The staff was friendly. The location was easily accessible on the freeway. One of the elevators was broken and also at some point throughout the night, somebody broke one of the handrails in the working elevators and later on someone either poured water or peed on floor the same elevator. Also, there are no microwaves in most of the rooms so you have to go downstairs and use the microwave.

The staff is super nice & friendly. But my brand new Diamond earrings got stolen by one of the house keeping lady’s. Yes it was my fault because I should not have left them out , but I definitely wasn’t thinking they would get stolen…. I was so sad!!! Also the rooms were that clean.

The room was filthy, towels and bedsheets were dirty, and there was leftover drink in the fridge which was a terrible experience I’ve had and will not come again.
- 5/5
Every convenience location and easy access.

Paint was coming off in bath tub sensor light kept going off all night long
- 1/5
Booked 2 nights with the hotel. I was told by the front desk that guests must talk to the supervisor to request housekeeping services or the room is not cleaned. I was trying to make sense of coming back to a disorderly and unstocked Hilton hotel room. I was also told by housekeeping staff that they would be back to clean our room when they checked on our room. This never happened. It’s Mother’s Day and wanted to be cared for for a change. We hoped that a Hilton Hotel will be more hospitable.

The room was disgusting when we went in. Stains on the bed and pillows. There was a poop stain in our toilet. Bathtub needs a complete makeover all the paint is peeling and it looks so old. For a four star hotel I expected better but this is just extremely run down.
- 4/5
Hotel room was large and quiet. Room service for coffee was quick, staff was helpful, location was convenient. My two negatives were that the parking spaces are very very tight and small for medium to large size vehicles. The elevators were limited (only 2 out of 3 were working), slow and overcrowded during my visit, so I used the stairs to exit numerous times. The stairs don’t exit into the hotel though, only to the outside, which was odd. I would certainly stay again in hopes the elevator situation was worked out and would have a small car or no car at all.

The elevators were not working only one was working so people were struggling to fit and having to wait a while to go up and down which wasn’t too fun the tv also had very bad signal and would glitch a lot besides that the room was clean with a nice little view

One of the beds smelled like pee I was asked if I wanted to switch rooms I said yes. Then when I went down stairs to switch rooms the front desk got mad because I used the shower and dirtied the room. The man at the front desk told me to check the room next time before I use it. I got a hotel at the Hilton on the motel 6 I expect a clean room and not one where I am expected to inspect the room before getting settled in. I should be having to lay down on a bed and smell another persons pee.

The stay was relaxing
- 5/5
Clean room, very comfortable bed and sheets, pillows Love the shower pressure
- 5/5
Clean rooms and spacious. My family and i were happy with our stay.

You pay 37 dollars a day for parking. The main elevator from the lower parking garage was not working, so you had to use the employee freight elevator.
- 3/5
The sound insulation is poor. The facilities are old.
- 5/5
Room was ok. Outdated a little. AC worked ok but not as cold as we normally would like
- 5/5
Awesome bar and breakfast!
- 4/5
We have stayed at this hotel a few times prior. On this occasion, two of the three elevators were not working and the waits for the one elevator were long. And since people were tired of waiting, they were unsafely cramming into the elevator.
- 5/5
We stay here often. Very clean and staff is always great. Restaurant has great food and a very good breakfast buffet.
- 2/5
I will never stay at the mission. Hilton again in San Diego.
- 5/5
Clean and quiet.
- 5/5
Loved it!
- 3/5
The rooms are clean but could use some maintenance. The sink in the room was cracked. And you have to use the employee elevator from the parking lot because the regular ones dont work. They really should spruce that up knowing all the guests have to go through there. Those elevators are not clean.

My family and I went to the jacuzzi to relax at night. I cut my foot while inside it on what we assumed to be glass. There was alot of blood. We went to the front desk and showed pictures and videos of my wound. The lady gave us a few bandages and an incident report to fill out after saying the general manager wasn't present and saying it was out of their control. We felt like she didnt care. After cleaning up my wound in our room we went back to the jacuzzi to check if the staff was cleaning it out or at least roped it off to other guests and nope it was still operating as if nothing happened. What if another family went in after us and got hurt too? Did the front desk think we were lying? Does this staff not care about our safety? How am I supposed to enjoy the rest of my vacation now? Super disappointing, i thought this was a high end hotel to stay at. If I could give zero stars I would.
- 3/5
I reserved a king room, got a double queen instead.
- 2/5
The bathroom inside the room we stayed in was terrible. the door to the shower wouldn’t full close so water would go everywhere and the door to the bathroom itself wouldn’t lock either and there was a constant humming sound. Someone else on our floor must have complained because someone came knocking on our day the day we checked out to see if there were any issues in our room. Turns out they knocked on the wrong door :/

Nice hotel
- 3/5
Ok stay
- 5/5
Clean room and hotel. Will be coming back.
- 3/5
Room was decent, not as clean as I’d like. Shower door was broken. Probably wouldn’t come back.
- 3/5
The hotel room had carpet ripped. Bathroom was not very clean
- 3/5
Rooms are noisy voices go in and out, view is good on city side but you hear vehicles noises all night. Car parking is no free they charge you for that
- 3/5
The hotel is a little dated, I could see scuffs, and paint chipping in places. Our lamp did have rust on it. Parking at this property is on the expensive side when you compare to others in the area, $37 a night. House keeping did come rather early on one day, it was around 8:30AM, don’t forget to put up your sign!
- 4/5
The room was very clean and bathroom was recently updated.

So clean, so beautiful! The staff answered all my questions and were very helpful. I would suggest something be done about the tv. I spent a lot of time trying to get the remote to work or to get any news.
- 5/5
Good staff, clean room.
- 3/5
Booked two rooms, and one of them was extremely dirty, but we were able to get another room. They only have robes for people who have booked suites, which I found very odd.
- 4/5

- 3/5
The staff was friendly and welcoming the hotel itself is outdated and needs renovations.
- 5/5

The staff was welcoming, the property was clean and beautiful, and everything from check-in to check-out was smooth. We truly enjoyed our time there and would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Great location and near many places to easy and shop
- 5/5
Had the city view it was great!

There was no electric vehicle charging available, which I found surprising and outdated for a major hotel in San Diego. As someone traveling with an electric vehicle, this was a significant inconvenience. Another major issue was the elevator access. From the parking garage, guests are required to use a service elevator just to reach the main elevators. At one point, the service elevator I was using became stuck and would not operate until a housekeeper came and manually adjusted the door so it could move again. This felt very unsafe and presented a clear safety hazard for guests. Additionally, the air-conditioning in the room was not working properly, which made the stay uncomfortable. Overall, the property felt old, poorly maintained, and not reflective of the quality I normally associate with Hilton hotels. I hope management addresses these issues so future guests have a safer and more comfortable experience.

Previous guests mouth tape, was taped to nightstand. The toilet was broken.
- 1/5
Every time we come to San Diego , we stay at this hotel. Our previous experiences have been much better than this times. To begin with our room could’ve been MUCH cleaner. A pillow cover still had a makeup stain that appeared to not have been washed . In addition the fridge in our room had the previous guest have eaten pineapple. The restroom door locked and I could not get it to unlock!! My husband had to unlock it with a key on the other side. The main elevator to their parking garage was not working. For two days we needed to take two different elevators , one that passes through the employee areas just to get the parking garage underneath. Finally, what an inconvenience to get in and out of the parking garage since for some reason it would say our hotel key was not found!!! We needed to call for help each and every time. I must admit after this experience and as a Hilton Honors member we will never come back.
- 4/5
Clean and restaurant is available. A bit noisy on the street side of the building. Would be nice to have a microwave available or some minor toiletries in the room like shower cap or q tips.
- 4/5
All well except on departure. No clear information on how to exit parking at the gate. There needs to be clear information provided at check-in on parking exit procedure.
- 3/5
Efficient. Breakfast buffet is top tier!! I was able to Park under garage at the front door. I felt like a celebrity.
- 5/5
They were excellent
- 2/5
The bathtub was in poor condition. The bathroom door got stuck and I had to wait to get my 9 year old daughter out. I had to call twice to get maintenance up to the room. No microwave in the room.
- 5/5
Everything was excellent
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and our room looked clean.
- 5/5
Clean room, great value
- 5/5
Clean room, good amenities, parking was expensive though
- 3/5
The tp attached to the wall was hard to get to. A towel bar in the bathroom would have been really helpful. I think ALL the windows on the whole building need to be cleaned, could hardly see out of them.
- 5/5
Room spotless and staff was friendly.
- 4/5
Great location, room size very comfortable, quick responsive elevators. Bathroom clean and confortable. Downside is that beds are uncomfortable, and parking has an additional cost per night!
- 4/5
Pool wasn’t heated
- 5/5
Staff was great. Restaurant was good.
- 4/5
Everything was ok.
- 3/5
Breakfast buffet food was cold.
- 1/5
Bad
- 2/5
Needs a remodel or some work into the quality of the rooms. Bathroom door didn't close properly or lock. Air vent almost falling off. Dirty windows. Have to pay for parking which seems a bit ridiculous. Booked "City view" but got the back of the hotel viewing a mountain with graffiti all over the wall. Pillows were rock hard. I'm trying to think of one good thing but can't think of a single one
- 3/5
The room was nice, the food and drink service was good and I enjoyed the services. The elevators need some work. Only two were functional for three days of my stay and for a hotel with 14 floors that was not efficient or comfortable.
- 5/5
Staff was helpful
- 5/5
The cleanest room and nicest staff honestly would stay here again
- 5/5
staff were friendly and accommodating.
- 4/5
Rooms were good
- 3/5
Overall the hotel looks nice, just had minor problems. The A/C was not blowing cold, and the toilet stop working. Also, I did not know about the $37 a night parking fee. But they reimburse me those funds because of the minor issues.
- 5/5
Very convenient to everything we planned to see in San Diego. Room was quiet, neat and clean.
- 5/5
Clean
- 2/5
Stayed for four night and customer service was great, but housekeeping was confusing. They didn’t come the first night, didn’t come the second night after asking the front desk, when they came the third night no towels were provided. The toilet was on and off and unable to flush, shower draining system was clogged and I had to clean it myself. I have stayed at Hilton in many locations and they were great, not sure how I feel about this one.
- 5/5
Elevators are a little slow.
- 5/5
Room was clean, Hotel was in a great location to areas we wanted to visit, staff was courteous and was able to resolve issues with gate quickly
- 4/5
It was nice but plain. The room needed puctures or posters for color.
- 5/5

- 1/5
Property is old & very outdated. Couldn’t sleep all night due to outside noise from old windows. The bed was squeaky & old. I compare this Hilton to Super 8 or Motel 6. Very terrible & would never stay there. & they charge $40 a night for parking which you don’t find out until you get there.
- 5/5
The recepcionist was really nice. We spent a good weekend here
- 2/5
Loud air unit, long time to get hot water in shower, no coffee in room even though there was a coffee maker. Restaurant furniture old, needs to be redone. If you sit on it you had it stuck to your clothing.
- 5/5
The room was nice, clean, and quiet.
- 5/5
Amazing stay with effortless check in!
- 5/5
Fast check in and out
- 3/5
The toilet screeched or whistles every so often and whenever it was flushed. The sink was clogged. The shower door let water leak out onto the floor no matter how well I closed it. There was a hair left on the toilet seat and one on the Kleenex box. Room 807. If interested. The parking lot was a mess due to a poor design that let muddy rainwater in to an entire half of the garage leaving many less spaces than needed.
- 4/5
Clean, comfortable room. Reasonable price considering location!
- 3/5
Was giving a handicap acres without asking for that room, because they didn’t have any clean rooms.
- 5/5
Very courteous lady at the front counter. Great beds.
- 2/5
While the staff is always great this hotel is showing its age. Our room was very hot even with the ac set on 65. We slept with no blankets or covers it was so hot. The room was also very humid. Our clothes felt wet when we went to put them on it was so humid and smelled like mold.
- 5/5
Check in was easy and fast, staff were friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
Room was very noisy especially during the day. It has a nonstop cracking sound by the window.
- 5/5
Awesome
- 4/5
Lack of basic necessities, building is nice , room was ok, not what you would expect from a Hilton. Bathroom sliding door didn’t lock or slide closed. Parking fee of $37 was a bit excessive
- 5/5
Loved the easy check in process via the app!
- 5/5
Hi
- 4/5
The room was nice and clean. There was a great view. The mattress was uncomfortable. There was a dip, and I woke up with lower back pain.
- 4/5
I did not use the business area. This Hilton did not have a buffet and the breakfast was at a cost. I was told the Hilton had a free buffet. Very disappointed. However, something I really liked was the text messaging service. All my questions were answered quickly. This was fantastic!
- 4/5
Asked for a blanket because the room is cold and we were trying to sleep but waited for more than an hour.
- 5/5
The rooms were clean. Beds comfortable and the staff friendly. Will be staying here again in the future.
- 2/5
Property is not being maintained.
- 5/5
Room was spotless, bed was comfy
- 5/5
Love this place we always stay here when we go to San Diego . Super clean and very convenient.
- 2/5
It got worse from there. It turns out that their IT issues were affecting the entire property. An automated gate at the parking garage wasn't working at all, so multiple times coming in and out of the hotel, I had to wait for someone to manually activate the gate. The parking, by the way, was $37 per night - an absolute ripoff considering the high rate of the room. After parking, I got locked out of the building because my key card wasn't working. I had to call the hotel to get them to buzz me in. On top of these annoyances, breakfast wasn't included in my rate. Everything about this experience was sub-par. I will be traveling to San Diego 2-3 more times in the next year for business, and I'll be trying other options nearby instead of this property.
- 4/5
Great hotel! Close to a lot of shopping. Would stay again.
- 2/5
Dirty rooms. Parties in the rooms next to us. Not well maintained
- 4/5
The staff at this location was amazing. Management has clearly done an outstanding job training their team. Amina assisted us at check-in and did a fantastic job straightening out our two rooms. Abier (sp?) at the bar was incredibly kind and helpful, especially with getting my tea and cheesecake. The Snack Shack could use some attention—there wasn’t much available. The rooms are older, but the team has done a great job keeping them feeling clean and “fresh”. Location is outstanding. Close to shopping, restaurants, RomCon, colleges.
- 4/5
The hotel has seen better days. Staff was friendly and helful
- 5/5
Everything Great !

- 5/5
The room was perfect. Would like some lemon water in the lobby and free breakfast, but overall, very nice.
- 5/5
Clean room, comfortable beds, pillows could be better.
- 4/5
Just okay, nothing to make it stand out
- 1/5
Hotel Hilton is franchised, no employee, rooms and hallways smell like cigarettes smoke, no free water in rooms, no restaurant service. Not recommended and will not stay there again.
- 4/5
I believe the parking price could be a bit more budget friendly for those staying at the hotel.
- 4/5
The only issue was the gate. Entering and exiting was a pain
- 3/5
No towels at the spa. The spa needed to be hotter. They need to put a little work into pool and spa.
- 3/5
It was okay until 6am in the next day. Their was a fire in the kitchen and we had to evacuate the building
- 5/5
Room was excellent, clean and friendly staff at all times of the day
- 4/5
Great location. Other than multiple hairs in the shower and stuck in the wash cloth, great stay
- 3/5
The shower door seal was broken/missing causing water to flood bathroom when showering, and bathroom sink was very slow draining. Also there was 6am fire alarm evacuation that was unfortunate.
- 1/5
The front desk just gave a key to my mom’s boyfriend when I was parking the car without asking for his ID or my permission. I do not appreciate them just giving out the key to my room. For the record, I am Asian and he is not. They had no right just making him a key.
- 4/5
Clean room kind staff easy to get too parking was expensive
- 5/5
Restaurant had good food.

Staff were friendly. Walls are paper thin. Shower door was broken. AC barely worked. Bed uncomfortable. Parking was absolutely awful.

Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Room was spotless, nice room. Good area
- 4/5
Room was mostly nice, although the TV menu was unreliable, half the outlets didn’t work, and the bathroom door was barely functional. Still, clean and pleasant.
- 3/5
There was bugs in the room
- 3/5
Parking was not free, there is limited free street parking, street construction going on, so that seem like false advertising, it cost $37. I gave 3 stars because staff waived parking fee cuz of toilet issues
- 5/5
Yes
- 3/5
Room was clean, but windows desperately need to be cleaned. I was shocked that there was no morning coffee/tea service in the lobby : (
- 5/5
Our room smelled like mildew. Kinda like when there is water damage. Couldn't see it but we smelled it.
- 5/5
Okay
- 5/5
Room was clean. The staff was super friendly
- 5/5
Great hotel overall
- 5/5
Room was spotless, cleaning staff did a very good job!
- 5/5
I had an extended stay for a work trip, and this stay was excellent! The price was extremely affordable, and it was conveniently located for me to get everywhere I needed. It was a very nice "home" to come back to each night. It was exceptionally quiet, so much I felt like I was the only guest on the entire floor.
- 4/5
Given the wrong room but they made up for it with free breakfast and free parking! Security fee is ridiculously expensive for no reason though.
- 4/5
Room was very clean and staff was helpful!
- 2/5
They didnt made our room, facility is a little old and parking is super expensive.
- 4/5
Didn’t have to ask for them to clean the room , they came & did which was something I liked
- 5/5
After initially giving me a room that had not yet been cleaned, the second room was perfectly nice. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. Decent location, especially if you have a room facing away from the highway.
- 2/5
Room was not clean, toilet was very dirty and bathtub was scratched so we shifted to other room. That was bit ok.
- 1/5
Not workth the spend
- 5/5
All went pretty well
- 5/5
outstanding friendly staff, especially the breakfast crew Wendy and Merary
- 5/5
Great
- 2/5
We had 2 double rooms booked at the hotel. One of our double rooms had an excellent stay. The 2nd room however did not. One person in our travel party was woken up at 4am bitten by bed bugs. The front desk staff did move her to another room, however by that point could not sleep anyways as she had already been bitten so much. Hoping that the hotel fixes this issue asap so this doesn't happen to anyone else.
- 1/5
The rooms were infested with fleas. They had to move us to a low-grade hotel a Doubletree and the whole experience ruined our trip.
- 5/5
Clean room good staff
- 3/5
Room had poor water pressure and the air conditioner could not keep up. Room was hot
- 5/5
Amazing!

Expedia quoted me $122 a night, including tax,, instead I was charged $182 a night including tax. I won't be using Expedia again.

Room was smelly, even after they switched us. Parking was a nightmare after paying $40 per night for it. The mildew smell was the worse part of it. Definitely expected more with this being The Hilton.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay. Check in process was relatively quick, the rooms were an excellent condition, the property is in outstanding shape, and the rooms were very comfortable.
- 4/5
Bad shower
- 5/5
The rooms were nice and clean and the staff was wonderful
- 5/5
The hotel was clean and the staff were kind and helpful. We had no issues with check in. The room and bathroom were clean. We had plenty of linens. We did have an issue with noise from our neighboring room and staff quickly resolved it. We had the “city view” which was fine — we could hear the cars on the highway but with our white noise app (which we always use), the noise was not noticeable. The parking was $37/day but there is free street parking. This isn’t a walkable area but it’s very close to everything fun with a quick Lyft or Uber. I would stay here again.
- 3/5
No outlets by bed to plug in medical device
- 4/5
Nice hotel with nice staff
- 4/5
Other than that, we enjoyed the breakfast. Thank you,
- 3/5
Room was fine except for the view. Rooms on the back of the hotel are treated to a stunning view of a hill covered in scrub brush, trash, and a collection yard for trash bins. The “free” WiFi was stupidly slow. If you wanted to actually get anything done, you had to pay for an upgrade to real WiFi. The in-hotel restaurant prices were the most egregious, however. Short walk to Denny’s will get you good food for a third of the price. $60 (without tip) for two sub-par buffet breakfasts is ridiculous.
- 5/5
Staff was knowledgeable and the area qas clean and well maintained
- 5/5
Greaat place!!

Only negative comment Saturday morning went to the front desk to have only our beds made . Came back to the hotel at 7:00 pm beds were not made very disappointing I did call when I came back to my room the front desk so the supervisor of my housekeeper would be aware.
- 5/5
standard room, only thing we kind of have issues with was our key wasn't working properly when leaving the parking, so we would just press on the call button then they'll eventually open the gate.
- 5/5
Good place
- 5/5
Everything was excellent. The only problem we experienced was with exiting the secure parking area. On two separate occasions we had to call for help to open the drawbar to let us out.
- 1/5
Rooms I was offered were filthy, covered with spores, dust, health hazard. The location has to be closed, inspected by the health department of the city of San Diego, health department of California. Floor was wet, regfrigrators not functioning in neither rooms. I was forced to leave at (;00 pm on Sunday evening finding another place to stay for duration of my stay in San Diego. I had never seen a hotel as filthy as the Hilton hotel located at 901 Camino Del Rio S. San Diego CA 92108.

it is not walking destination to anything but it was very clean and safe in this location

Clean room and great hospitality

They couldn’t charge my credit card because I lost it and replaced it with a new card. So they sent me an email saying they would cancel my reservation if I didn’t give them a new card by 10/18/25 at 3:49 (they didn’t say AM or PM). I arrived at 1AM on 10/18/25, and they told me they had already cancelled my reservation at 9pm. So I was stranded without a hotel room at 1AM with my family and young child. Jerks.
- 5/5
I am very happy
- 5/5
Did not enjoy the paid parking almost 40 dollars per night!!
- 5/5
Beautiful facility and rooms.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable room.
- 5/5
Walked around it. the area looks tired.
- 4/5
It was definitely worth the price.
- 4/5
My only complaint is the breakfast. You can walk up to serve yourself, but no one told me if I get a tablespoon of the potatoes that my bill would be over $30. I had eggs and potatoes and coffee. It was seriously overpriced.
- 5/5
Perfec
- 4/5
Something was going on at the hotel and it smelled like poop all over the place.
- 1/5
My rating is actuall for EXPEDIA I called the Hilton to confirm my reservation prior to checking in. there was no reservation for me. The Hilton checked every possibility but could find nothing. I WILL NEVER USE EXPEDIA AGAIN, and I will share my experience with my friends and family.
- 5/5
Super easy check in process, staff was extremely hospitable. My room was comfortable as well. Great job Hilton
- 5/5
Great location and comfortable
- 3/5
So many empty rooms and was put in a room near the gym and it is so noisy
- 5/5
Staff at time of check in were great, clean room.
- 5/5
Very good place to stay at
- 5/5
Good location
- 1/5
The rooms are not clean.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, nice staff etc..
- 4/5
The hotel is well maintained. The hotel is not far from many attractions. I liked the parking garage that lead directly to the lobby elevator. The room was clean and comfortable for four people. The only thing is the walls are so thin I could hear everything going on in the rooms on either side of us. Our neighbors were not being unusually loud it’s just very easy to hear everything going on.
- 4/5
The staff was very accommodating and really nice. We needed to change rooms because there were some loud people next to us and the connecting door made it even louder. They changed rooms for us no problem right away. The facility was extremely clean, and the hotel was quiet, nice rooms and nice lobby. Elevators were great since there were 3. Hardly had to wait. The AC was even quiet in the room. The only thing I did not like was the non-complimentary coffee/cocoa. And I thought the buffet breakfast was way overpriced and not good quality. The sausage patty was like a hockey puck and the sausage links were raw. Overall the food was horrible. This is my only reason for 4 stars vs 5 stars.
- 4/5
The toilet was leaking and kept us up at night
- 5/5
Good breakfast
- 5/5
Stayed there to visit son at SDSU. Great location. Clean. Staff very attentive. Fair price.
- 3/5
From the moment I checked in, I felt like it was a busy weekend and they couldn’t be bothered. I got zero information about the hotel. I didn’t even know there was a pool until the second day. She just gave me keys and that was it. I didn’t know what time the food was available till or even if there was a restaurant wasn’t completely obvious when I walked in. I didn’t know anything. One evening. I was trying to buy something at the bistro and I waited and waited and waited for somebody to come back to you that the front desk but nobody came so I finally just went upstairs with it and phone down half an hour later to let them know that I’ve taken a couple of items to my room. The bistro shop was completely cleaned out the first night and not restocked folks in the restaurant and the bar were very pleasant and helpful. The sheets on the bed felt like they had been washed too many times or they were very pilly to lie on not comfortable. All in all it was a very mediocre stay.
- 2/5
$37 for parking is literally insane at a hotel not near anything. Whole experience felt like being nickel and dimed.
- 1/5
AC in the room was quite annoying. Every 20mins, the unit would turn on and for about 15 seconds you hear this terrible mechanic whirring. I had to turn off the AC in order to get some sleep. There was very poor water pressure in the shower and was unable to push the faucet thing in order to have a bath. There wasn't enough staff to help with bags and the like, very poor experience for the money.
- 5/5
Excellent stay. Staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 4/5
The hotel is clean and well located. The staff is kind and helpful. However, the elevator situation is frustrating — it’s always full, and you often have to wait a long time to get on. There are only emergency stairs, so you can’t use them to go down even if you’re just on the second floor.
- 5/5
Front desk was helpful
- 3/5
The best part of the stay was the restaurant. We paid for a king with skylineview and sofa bed, hotel first puts us in a double, the. In someone else’s room and then back in the double because they were full. The view was the recycling bins and a bill. There was no skyline. We requested our water heater get fixed twice because there was no running hot water in the shower. Needless to say the cold showers we took for four days was what we got. The best part was the restaurant, Wendy and the team were amazing and we enjoyed every meal we had with the crew.
- 5/5
Convenient to the highway clean nice friendly staff.
- 4/5
But there noise from cleaning crew early in the am.
- 2/5
Room was located next to staff/facilities employees room slamming doors while I was sleeping and resting. Very inconvenient.
- 2/5
The beds were hard as a rock. Think Patrick’s rock off of SpongeBob and that’s what you're going to be sleeping on. So uncomfortable. Had to switch hotels after two nights of sleeping there.
- 4/5
Shopping options are great, we’ve never used the pool before.
- 5/5
Clean and all amenities were nice
- 4/5
I was not told about the parking fee prior to arriving. Looking over the options of Wi-Fi and parking initially the booking said that it was free.
- 5/5
Had a problem with the room but the front desk staff solved it quickly which was appreciated.
- 5/5
Check-in was really convenient through the Hilton Honors app
- 2/5
Computer froze. Reboot didn’t fix it. Clerk had to call for support. The check-in process took more than 30 min at him
- 3/5
The sink faucet was broken. The shower faucet didn't work properly. Smell of cigarette smoke and marijuana in hallway. Buffet breakfast poor quality- dry eggs, crispy pancakes, terrible pastries; over priced for the quality of food.
- 5/5
Close to freeway restaurants and stores
- 5/5
Great customer service
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff, convenient to major highways and airport.
- 1/5
Need to fix shower head and a/c water noise
- 5/5
Clean rooms, easy access, friendly and helpful staff. Very good stay!
- 3/5
The air condition felt like it wasn’t working throughout the hotel. First day, the room seemed kind of outdated. Toilet wasn’t flushing, ac wasn’t working well, and the stopper in the sink got stuck. With a little help of maintenance issues were resolved. Tv remote wasn’t working well but didn’t watch too much tv so left it as is. Service text was convenient but when I texted about the Ac, they said they would come check and never did
- 5/5
Everyone was friendly and helpful. All the facilities were clean and convenient to reach. I also really liked the breakfast buffet.
- 5/5
Graet hotel and great staff
- 3/5
Staff was friendly. Everything in the common areas was clean and in good condition. Our room had a few issues that I made aware to the front desk, they said they would report it to maintenance. The issues were that the shower door wouldn’t close all the way, and so water would drip onto the floor (which made me a little nervous about slipping and falling), the bathroom light would flicker randomly (or just turn off). I also suggested they add more places to charge devices. There were two USB ports in the room but only one worked.
- 2/5
No breakfast.
- 2/5
Beware, although I've been to a few Hiltons, the picture that I saw of the room online was no comparison to the actual room we stayed in. I thought since we were on the 14th floor it would be one of their best rooms. If that was the case I'd hate to see their worst room. Now I'm 6'1', so while I'm sitting on the toilet, I put my hands on my chest so that I can extend my elbows out to each side, well my right elbow was touching the paneling of the sink, and my left elbow was touching part of the glass shower door entrance wall. And that couch, Oh My, it looked as if someone drove around searching, hoping to find it discarded on the curb. Maybe they know a company that sells reject couches. I've seen homeless people sleeping on a better looking couch. The cushions seem to be suffering from Vitiligo. Numerous rooms had a problem with the TV connection. That city view, well if you don't mind looking at a dirt hill that was about a couple hundred feet away, and parked cars, and whatever else was in the other parking lot, then you are good. Also I couldn't get the iron board to close, and I didn't want to break it so I left it opened.
- 4/5
Check in was extremely quick and easy. Very friendly staff. Under ground parking was nice. Beds were very comfortable. Room was clean. The only complaint was the door has gaps on top, bottom and sides so the hall light shining through lit up our room all night. Bummer if you like a pitch black room, which we do. Everything else was great!
- 3/5
The front of the building could be cleaned up . Across for the hotel is over grown grass along the parkway . There’s garbage and over grown grass along the parkway . There’s a building next door closed up with graffiti on in .
- 4/5
not at this time
- 5/5
Good price and stay
- 5/5
good emvironment
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable
- 1/5
Did not have a good experience . Profit , payment was priority instead of service and customers satisfaction
- 5/5
Very nice and clean friendly staff
- 3/5
Hotel itself is in an awkward location but near many restaurants and shopping centers within driving distance. A/C in the room wasn’t cooling, although someone from maintenance did try to fix it to no avail. Not bad for the rate though.
- 5/5
It was Great very comfortable

- 3/5
The tv did not work, drain was slow in the sink
- 5/5
very nice staff
- 2/5
The staff is not qualified, they don’t seem to care to give you bad service and the cleaning in the room and bathroom is terrible
- 5/5
Nice hotel. We would like to return.
- 2/5
A great hotel for 1979. Limited amenities- in room furnishings poor condition. Basic television options
- 5/5
Is berry nice
- 4/5
Staff was nice overall clean, but pretty disappointed the pool wasn’t working. We weren’t made aware of this until we ready to use and asked.
- 5/5
...
- 4/5
Close to the mall with plenty of dining options. Would stay again.
- 5/5
The property was very clean. The staff was welcoming. Area around the hotel not the nicest but just go over the fashion valley and tons of places to eat. Also shopping in park valley. There is a Saks off fifth and a Nordstrom rack just on the other side of the freeway. I would recommend a few nights here.
- 2/5
Old and run down. Unsafe parking. Directed to use filthy service elevator to get to garage
- 5/5
Nice place.
- 3/5
Hot tub not working
- 1/5
no hot water. Rusting bath fixtures, bad air conditioning, no microwave. had to use service elevator.
- 4/5
The staff was great, housekeepers came everyday to clean. Overall a good experience. Just wish the elevator wasn’t broken to go down to the basement parking garage. And something kept ringing loudly in the basement garage and it went on for our whole stay (5 days total).
- 2/5
The AC didn’t work well at all.
- 5/5
Perfect location!
- 3/5
If you are just passing through and need a place to stay for the night this is fine. I would not stay here again for any extended period of time. Area is not super safe or walkable, breakfast options were incredibly expensive. Overall it’s just meh. Nothing terrible about it, but nothing incredible either.
- 5/5
friendly staff
- 3/5
Parking limited to the basement , rooms are dated, and a/c not working well ,
- 2/5
Everyone should know that this hotel charges their guest $37 per day to park. I will never recommend this place to anyone. There is No complimentary coffee, nothing. Everything is HIGH PRICED
- 5/5
The staff at Hilton Mission Valley were very accommodating. They worked hard to make sure we were 100% satisfied with our stay. I would rate them five stars..
- 5/5
Best hotel in San Diego
- 5/5
Good location, hotel circle. Place is well staffed, clean, and good facilities. No complaints. Would stay again.
- 3/5
Did not refill coffee supply- good with Hilton and did not get water in the room. Tried to charge parking as full price for gold member. Unprofessional and no attention to details.
- 5/5
It was nice
- 3/5
A little older. The elevators were a bit frustrating. We had to take two to get to the parking. I guess they are fixing that. Clean and convenient to get to SDSU
- 3/5
Ac wasn’t working in our room and toilet kept running
- 4/5
Convenient how close it is to the freeway
- 4/5
I liked that’s it’s close to shopping and dining, the rooms are kept and a good size. The only thing is the parking garage is not that well illuminated and accessible to renter lobby. Otherwise great stay
- 4/5
My husband and I are seniors with hip and back problems. Everything was A 1 except the toilet. It was very very low. I had to struggle to get up and sit down. I did share this jnfo with the hit but was told all the hotel toilets were this size.
- 3/5
Property is in the perfect spot, close to everything.
- 5/5
It grest stsying here
- 3/5
Air conditioning said it was 62 to 65 and it was closer to 72 to 75 degrees.
- 5/5
Very good
- 1/5
I had paid for high level floor with view, however I got side view of the hotel which is basically nothing, just trees. When I requested for change, I got 4th floor and they didn’t reduce the price saying as it’s pre paid they can’t refund nor help. There was no coffee pods the next day, the iron was broken too.
- 4/5
Room was clean, air in the room didn’t work first night night and had to be moved to a different room
- 2/5
Not great, not very clean. Elevator is broken from the garage and guest have to use service elevators. Broken appliances in rooms. Staff was friendly. though.
- 2/5
Unable to connect to internet. Called guest services. He said to try again in 5 minutes. It still didn't work. I called again. I was told a supervisor would call back. They never did. Called guest services again. No one is answering the phone, and no one has called back.
- 1/5
There was a loud noise in the walls i recorded it and had to change rooms in the middle of the night.
- 4/5
Cleanliness could have been better but staff was great
- 3/5
The ac in the room didn’t really work
- 1/5
There was a high pitch loud noise in the wall, I had to change rooms in the middle of the night, I did record the noise and the the front desk listen, another issue my room was handicap, the shower head was only 4’ high for handicap person.
- 5/5
The cleanliness, comfort and overall ambience of the property wasn’t a question when looking a reservation for my in-laws. I can always rely on the Hilton to deliver and accommodate my family and myself included. The virtual check-in was a nice touch to an already seamless stay.
- 1/5
This hotels security needs to be upgraded severly my vehicle and others were burglized on this property costing me over three hundred dollars in damage.
- 2/5
AC was broken in our room for the first 24 hours and found underwear from prior occupants on the night stand
- 1/5
We found a bed beg and my friend got bitten but they didn’t refund but offered a room change

Hotel was clean but they had maintenance issues with the elevator which was an inconvenience but we delt with it. Rooms are clean.
- 5/5
Decent place to stay. No complaints. Short trip and was appropriate accommodations.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay and very peaceful stay.
- 3/5
There was blood on the sheets at check in
- 4/5
The only problem I experienced was there was no mattress in the pull out sofa bed. So my kids slept on the sofa.
- 5/5
Clean room wonderful staff
- 5/5
Clean
- 4/5
The restaurant was awesome, and the food was plentiful and tasty. The parking was small, my mom found hair on the ceiling, inside a bath towel, AND a hand towel. I found hair in the shower after house cleaning had come by and cleaned it.
