The professionalism of staff and their kindness. Location of the hotel to our activities. The pool/spa did not have towels. There was a basket overflowing of used towels but no clean ones.

We enjoyed staying here during our family trip! Super convenient location. The property was nice and clean. We enjoyed the pool and the gym! And sweet greens and shake shack nearby :) There was something for everyone.

Our check-in experience wasn’t the best, as the receptionist was not particularly welcoming. However, the woman assisting us at check-out was very friendly and pleasant, which was appreciated. The bed was firmer than I prefer, though I realize mattress comfort is subjective. One concern worth mentioning is that the bathtub was extremely slippery when entering and exiting. My husband and I are both active and had difficulty maintaining our footing, so I could see this being a safety concern for some guests. The one positive was that the hotel was relatively quiet, although the air conditioning ran continuously throughout the night and helped mask any outside noise. Overall, the property did not meet our expectations, and unfortunately, we would not choose to stay here again.

Breakfast was good, could have had a few more options, instead of just eggs though. Maybe French toast or pancakes as well. The room had a horrible view of the rooftop, and it was not as big as I was expecting for a hotel like this.

Room was clean, front desk was super nice and helped me check in a bit early. The fridge and microwave in the room are just okay (fridge doesn't get very cold), but got the job done. Loved my stay! It's only a few minutes from a trolley station which is great.

Beautiful hotel with great staff. Very clean and located in such an accessible location! Close to downtown, La Jolla, Coronado island, mission beach and many other attractions. Highly recommend.

Our second stay on the last few years and we’ll be back. It’s the perfect location with Old Town right across the streets and the trolly a block away for an easy trip to downtown or up the coast.

The front staff was great. House keeping only came once in a 5 night stay. They did a fire alarm check then room had funky smell. They charged a daily parking fee. I paid for a room that should be my parking fee. Water pressure would come and go down even to a dribble. I’ve stayed in nicer motels.

Good restaurant on premises that stays open until 10pm very convenient. Weekdays breakfast begins at 6 AM. Very good if on business. Fitness facility a bit skimpy but you can certainly get in a light work out. Overall great value and very well kept. No automatic room clean service each day. I found that a little surprising. Parking charges seem excessive and parking lanes way to narrow.

The hotel is seriously outdated — feels like it hasn’t been updated since the 80s. It’s clean, but worn down and honestly one of the more run-down places I’ve stayed at. Don’t expect anything modern. Staff wasn’t very friendly, which didn’t help. Parking is $27 a day, which adds up fast — another $90 I wasn’t expecting. Beds are mediocre at best. Flat pillows and you can feel the springs in the mattress. We paid around $600 for 3 nights, and with parking it was closer to $700+. For that price, you can absolutely find a much nicer place. Only real upside is the location — close to the trolley and about 10 miles from most places you’d want to go. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Rooms were clean and nice. The daily cleaning did a great job. The bath had an insect in it the first day we were there but other than that it was great. We didn’t get to use the pool but it looked great.

I’d like to say “thank you” for such a pleasant stay. I would definitely return to stay here in the future. The room was clean and quiet, loved that the shower had great water pressure and had plenty of clean towels available, beds were also very comfortable.

Definitely a great property to stay at. Friendly staff, nice amenities, centralized in a good area. The only issue I have is with the parking. Although the rate was much better than surrounding properties we had our rental vehicle broken into the first night we stayed there. I did info the front desk and asked if there was cameras but i was told where we parked our vehicle at the rear of the property there was no cameras there. That's the only issue i have. Although we didn't lane anything in the vehicle it still was unsettling.

Room was ok. Lampshade had stains and some of the lamp chargers didn’t work near the bed. All in all it was close to where we wanted to walk to but probably would stay somewhere else next time. There was also a dog across the hall that was barking from around 7 pm to 9:30 pm.

Pool was great. They didn’t keep it up very well, but it was nice during the day. It was too cool at night but we enjoyed the hot tub. Staff was great but there is zero amenities really they had coffee in our room and that’s pretty much it they have coffee in the morning downstairs and they should switch it over to water and tea and have that available all day. It’s very warm. It’s nice to have water with lemon or something in a big container to fill your water bottles with.

My experience at the hotel was unbelievable. The toilet was broken—this is something I never imagined encountering, and it was my first time experiencing something like this. It really reflects the poor management standards of this hotel. The staff were also very unfriendly. In addition, the bathroom amenities were not properly restocked—the conditioner had run out.

Hotel was great until the last night. They were replacing the AC condenser which they communicated well. It wasn’t done on time and everything went downhill from there. We were told multiple times it would be done. It wasn’t. Asked for a fan or another room that may have a window and there wasn’t which is okay but the communication was awful. In the morning we were told they would comp our last night and then just received a notice from Travelocity denying our refund for the last night.

Fantastic hotel with comfortable, spacious, clean and renovated rooms. Loved the entrance decor and furniture. Felt safe. It was convenient to walk to Old Town and the perfect location close to the beaches. I didn't use the pool since I went to Mission Beach and La Jolla Beach instead. When I come back to San Diego, I would love to stay here again!

Very convenient taking the free old town Shuttle called the San Diego flyer to an easy walking distance of this hotel. Old town was a lovely place to stroll in the evening and catch a bite to eat and listen to music not requiring any Uber rides or other transportation. The hotel is not fancy, but our needs.

We were assigned room 126. If this is ever the case at this hotel, ask to change rooms immediately, unless you need to be up at 4:30 am. The noise from the kitchen was unbearable and the banging of the plates went on non stop for the next three hours. This room is also adjacent to the elevators and back door, not a great combo. Wasn't a great night stay!

I found dirt and paper garbage underneath chair when moving it closer to the window. After letting them know twice it was never cleaned even when room cleaned (I was there for 6 nights). Restaurant not as good as before (I've stayed here 5 times). No water bottles given daily, when I mentioned at checkout was told they give you 2 bottles at check in only (no matter how long you stay), did not receive at check in either.

It was a business trip , did not spend any time enjoying all amenities the hotel had to offer.

The room we were in was terribly noisy right by the back door. Honestly, there should not be a room there. We were awake all night with the door opening and loudly slamming shut. Asked for another room and was told they couldn't provide one and they couldn't refund me any money because I'd booked thru 3rd party. Won't make that mistake again

The carpet in our room was extremely dirty. Large spots indicating either pet stains or other liquids. The pillowcases were dirty and stained. The restroom was very water damaged. This is unfortunate, this has been our go-to hotel for over 3 years and we are now looking to stay elsewhere. We visit San Diego at least once a month. Do better Hilton.

Very convenient location for access to Old Town, Sea World, Balboa Park, Seaport Village, and Petco Park, each venue is less than a twenty minute drive from the hotel property. The pool area is small, we didn’t make use of it. Parking was $26/day. There was a hot breakfast available for an additional charge.

The ONLY item missing on a hot day is available ice water (with lemon slices) in the lobby. I was directed to the Fitness Center for a cup of ice water. Otherwise we shall certainly book a room there next time we visit family in San Diego.

Walkable to Old Town SD, room was vey clean and complete with amenities that we needed, very quiet and have a relaxing feelings, lobby is very open and have a lot of seats. Lots of parking space ( hope parking fee is less cheaper). We will come back again.

Cons: No air ventilation in the bathroom or room in general. Windows do not open so no fresh air comes in the room. Due to this the hotel hallways and room was stuffy and stinky at times. Last two days of our 5 day stay were loud at night.

More selections in the little store. Prices were very high. $5 for a bag of Cheetos!

Room was a comfortable setting. Bed frame was very squeaky and needs replacement. I had stayed at another Hilton in Hawaii a couple of weeks ago and I encountered the same issue at this location. Body wash is always out and not replenished throughout the stay. Front desk employees were attentive, made small conversations but nothing that stood out. For the price… I’m not sure I would go back or try another hotel.

The biggest problem we had with this hotel is we had 2 room changes because the first 2 had a strong smell of BO, enough to jolt you the moment you walk into the room. We had book this same hotel a few years back and had the same issue. When leaving looking out the second room and uncomfortable with having to ask for another room change, I saw one of the cleaning lady’s cleaning a room and her room smelled like Clorox and recently cleaned. We requested her room without realizing that it only had a king bed and sofa bed when we really needed 2 queen beds. We settled there because we did not want to ask for a 3rd room change. This room was clean an overall we made the best of it since we usually just go to old town when we come down there. Disappointed with this hotel, bc I want to like it.

Great location for old town and Zoo. Service not up to standard and had to prompt for replenishment of amenities in room every day. No towels around pool and pool side tired and old.

Spent 3 nights to visit family nearby, great room, firm bed and surprisingly quiet at all times. Great restaurant directly across the street and Old Town historic site with more restaurants and shops. This is my 2nd stay and will be back.

Hilton App checking option was slow and the picked room was not ready after 3pm. I had to make line at the front desk to get a room. Overall l, the stay was great with no issues.

It looks better in the pictures. The jacuzzi was not even hot, the pool seems like it was not heated, and the fire pits didn’t even work. Over priced in my opinion.

Property was nice but the homeless encampment is not that surrounds it.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The employees were all friendly and helpful, our room was clean, and they have EV chargers! I’d definitely stay here again the next time I’m in San Diego.

We loved that it was right across the street from a Mexican food restaurant. The room air conditioner was annoyingly loud!! The sheets were rough and the mattress was not very comfortable.

The hotel was run down and the view was of their damaged roof. The quality of service needs some improvement.

I liked that hotel is walking distance from old town but not worth the overwhelming price being that most all old town restaurants and stores close at 930 with the exception of may one or two restaurants that close at 10.with that being said $400 a night is not worth it

Amazing

Nice view, quiet, lobby was beautiful. Temp was nice with central AC and programmable thermostat. Loads of options for tv, live tv, Netflix, etc.

The only complaint is the pool section. Pool and seating area were really dirty and minimal sitting space.

I had bought it reserved a king size bed for my wife and I and our little daughter. The first night they gave our king bed to other guest, they provided 2 queens but we're tall people. Our daughter fell off the bed and the sécond night, they almost gave our king sized bed again, if it were not for my wife who called multiple times to save our bed. They were going to give it away! I would not recommend this hotel to my family or friends. Also the guy at night was pretty stern and rude about not having our king size available. Also our daughter is special needs and we were not happy when she fell off the bed in her sleep. We almost took her to the ER but she calmed down after 10 mins of crying !

This property is convenient to all sight seeing locations with little traffic and walkable to Old town. Quiet area and a really nice lobby and dining areas.

Great hote

The hotel is beautiful and clean. It is about 3 minutes away from the center of Old Town which my toddler, husband, and I all loved walking around and getting dinner in. I would definitely stay here again.

We arrived early and the staff let us check-in early and gave us a nice room. Very friendly staff. I will definitely stay here again next time we come back.

$20.00 for parking. Won’t be back. Parking should be a given when traveling. And the person checking us in asked is a $20 parking charge OK? I said what if I say no so we really didn’t have a choice

Perfect location to everything. Easy freeway access.

We booked a "Drinks and Snacks" room and this option should have had the drinks and snack in the room upon arrival. Also, a daily restock. However, upon arrival there were no snacks or drinks in the room. I called the front desk and no one was answering as they were attending to others. I waited in line then waiting for the "room service" to provide the snacks. I waited and the lady in the front desk said that she will have them take us the snacks and drinks. The snacks and drinks never came. I had to go back down later at night to ask for what the room rate included. I waited and was given a "back-up" tray. The next day there were still no snacks or drinks restocked in our room. I went back downstairs to the front desk to ask for the drinks and snacks again. It was too cumbersome for the rate they charged me to have a "Drinks and Snack" room.

It's good. Nice location. Friendly staff. Money worth. But didn't get HSK service. Overall comfortable stay.

There are 2 things that we did not like. 1. The beds. We had 2 queen size beds and they were both too soft. We would prefer firmer beds as the next day, we woke to back pain. 2. We kept hearing the people above us walking around. No voices, just walking around. Besides those 2 things, everything else was great.

Convenient and close to old town

Room 202 had a leaky toilet that kept filling all night making it hard to sleep.

Shower door frame needs attention. Water leeks and pools outside in the corner. Which will cause mold. The water turned off while my husband was taking a shower. It eventually turned back on. That was weird.There was a consistent humming noise. I'm not sure where it was coming from but it kept my husband awake Room 406

Room wasn't ready at check-in. Waited an hour for room to be clean so we could check-in. Front desk didn't seem to care. Was waiting in loby and never did they come over and update us on room. I finally went over to ask. They said a room just opened up.

Very nice property

Great location and nice room. But I was on the first floor and had to go through lobby AND bar area to get ice from ice machine. Very embarrassing as I was already in PJs.
