    Property may be in an ideal location but DO NOT make the mistake of thinking you will get your $60 a day deposit back. They don't allow any self parking, ONLY Valet but make it seem like it is included and they state the $60 is a deposit for incidentals but when checking out they say it's applied to parking for the overnight valet parking around hotel is cheaper.

    I had the best experience! An employee named Agape helped me with changing my reservation to two double beds. She was so nice and accommodating. I knew my birthday trip would be amazing. My room was very clean and my husband and I loved the gym and pool. We also had dinner in the beautiful courtyard. Our stay was 10 out of 10.

    This was a great venue for a couple nights stay. Location was prime and the onsite amenities made it easy to stay nearby. We will definitely stay here again. The rooms were fully stocked and super comfortable.

    Location is TOP! staff super friendly! and great with my dog!. The only two things were they have construction with drilling starting saturday and sunday at 8 am (not Great!) and also the jacuzzi could use some cleaning! but other than that great location, great staff and amenities! walking distance to everything!

    I liked everything about the hotel except the pool. I should have looked closer to see if the pool was heated. I booked this hotel primarily for its close proximity to the zoo, airport and cruise terminal. The location was fantastic. They were undergo in my renovations during my stay and the hotel was extremely updated, clean and modern. However I also booked it because I had planned on a pool day for my kids and the pool looked very nice, but it was not a heated pool and it really was too cold for use. If I had known this I probably would have booked a different hotel.

    Excellent stay, very friendly staff! Even Valet was one of the best I've encountered. Only issue I noticed, is that the staff in all areas need training on not asking for room number and using last name instead. I even mentioned to a member of the front desk one evening about not asking for the room number and his reply was " how else will I be able to charge the room". My reply "look up my room number when I give you my last name. "

    We had a great stay at the property except the internet was not working in our room so we were unable to watch anything on the tv but the live tv. Also, the train was very close to the hotel and it was very loud in the middle of the night too.

    Everything was good overall. I was a little disappointed to find no bodywash in the shower. After making the staff aware of this issue I expected it to be resolved. The disappointment to not having it replaced was pretty strong. Besides this dropped ball I enjoyed my stay.

    Check in was brutal. Once we were finally face to face, the staff was nice. One of the valet men was very professional. The other was blatantly rude. There were people in the lobby complaining about the same things. Feels woefully disorganized. There was a rotten orange behind the tv in our room and the shampoo and body wash bottles were empty. I would never stay here again.

    When we booked this hotel, there was nothing listed about the pool being under construction as well as the workout room and that is why we planned on coming to this hotel to stay and swim. They would not give us any credit on the room as we booked through Expedia. The manager told me the pool will be available by noon the next day and it wasn’t available until late that night. The pool is almost completely shaded and half indoor and dirty. Also, when we arrived, there are no luggage cars available to take our stuff up to our room. It is a great location and very clean. But for the above reasons, I needed to give that review.

    The Hilton always hits the highest note without even trying. I love the Hilton. I will always stay there when I’m on vacation. My family agrees. Hilton has the friendliest staff and the nicest rooms after staying somewhere else that was subpar, it was nice coming to the Hilton where I knew my family would be taken care of properly.     Good hotel, at end of downtown San Diego. Close to Little Italy, but a long walk to Gaslamp. If you don’t rent a car, location might be too far away from downtown activities. Staff was excellent. Hotel was recently renovated, so room was a bit dusty but functioned very well.

    They had construction going on in the room directly above my room. It started at 7:30am on a Sunday morning. I called the front desk several times. It is now 9:30am and still going on. The manager Mina was aware and they offered me ear plugs. Unacceptable customer service. They don’t care about their customers I would not stay here.

    Upon arrival, the valet guys were friendly and same with the front receptionist.. I only have three little complaints Our hotel had two beds one of the bed sheets had dirt dust on it . Didn’t really matter cause the other bed was fine and clean. 2. Shower drain had a little smell to it when showering Wasn’t terrible though, but it could use some bleach being poured down to it. Lols 3. Parking valet great.. but $60 is pricy! Also the parking is down “basement” from the hotel. Not sure where some reviews said the parking was across the street….?? No it was not.

    My wife and I booked two separate rooms, one for ourselves and one for my in-laws. Thank goodness the room my in-laws got room 535, was decent and clean and did have an amazing view of the bay. Our room, however, room 533 was dated, tattered, not clean, the shower smelled like sulfur, and when engineering came to fix the problem, they left dirty boot prints all over the bathroom floor. Needless to say, we will not be staying here again and for future guests, I would recommend going to check your room before checking in. We were so disappointed, it was supposed to be a special evening. We were going to a concert at Humphries’s by the bay and specifically wanted to have a very nice date night. And it was anything but. I am a Hilton honors member and do you expect more from a Hilton property. Just disappointed.

    We stayed at the one-bedroom suite for several nights in November. We loved the kitchen, quiet room, friendly staff, and and convenient hotel location. It is walkable to the dock and nearby little Italy town. +10 minutes to the zoo and Sea World. The free breakfast was delicious and has healthy choices. Highly recommended.

    The check in area and surrounding patios are beautiful. The lounges were decorated nicely and gave an upscale vibe. Room was clean and welcoming. View was very odd however, as if we had our curtains open people walking in the hallway could see us. Because of this we could not leave the curtains open to let natural light in. The pool and hot tub area were very dirty. There was a heavy chlorine smell that burned your eyes. We couldn’t even tolerate it for 5 minutes. The hot tub had foamy dirty water floating around. Also 60 dollars a night to park is very expensive. With no option for self park and valet only is not our preference but to each their own. Also was put off a bit when I waited in line to check out I was met with a terse “what do you want?” Then when I stated I just wanted to check out she took the key cards from me and said “ok thanks”.

    Firstly, there is no self parking only valet and it’s an outrageous amount. The valet is careless and leaves the vehicles unlocked which is unsafe to say the least. Second, the lights in our room weren’t working and when we notified staff they said, “ we’ll put it in our notes, thank you”. We had stains on our bed sheets and towels!? This definitely wasn’t the luxurious stay I’d thought it would be. Very unhappy and don’t plan on recommending or coming back.

    Hotel is very clean and the staff are great. The cons of it is that the parking isn’t included with your reservation. Many hotels I’ve stayed in have parking included for free. Parking here was Valet only and you’re charged $60.

    DONT STAY THERE!! NO PARKING (across the street where your car is just out in the open all night) SO THEY CHARGE $60 a night for valet!!wasn’t in our room 5 mins & Something on the carpet (looks like blood) fridge didn’t work, I don’t have a safe to protect my belongings, the couch was ripped! Guest service was NO HELP, showed NO EMPATHY! I went down to let them know and the guest service guy started to look up another room for me as I was explaining the conditions of the room & then he said oh if you are worried about being charged I will just put it on your room notes that it was already some wear and tear! I said I rather just get a new room and he goes we don’t have any we are all booked up (after he was just about to move me) so I asked to speak with the manager and she was worse than him, she offered to change the couch and fridge out for some new ones! My girlfriend and I drove out there from Las Vegas so we had no choice but to stay and deal with it, but definitely calling corporate!

    The property itself was fine and the location was good. Unfortunately the Hilton staff charged me nearly a thousand dollars in error and across 3 days failed to refund me as they promised they would. I have now left and am continuing to try to get a refund for a random charge that they admitted was in error. They claim that it will come through in 7-10 days but previously told me to expect it the same night and then in 3 days and now say 7-10 days. I’m concerned about a continued hassle to be refunded for this erroneous charge.

    I greatly appreciated the cleanliness of this hotel! The room and bathroom were super clean, and housekeeping freshened up the room every other day, which some hotels don't offer. The front desk staff and other staff throughout the building were very friendly and helpful. The bay is just a short walk away and the views were nice, though I wish the view from our room was less obstructed. The breakfast/restaurant options were a little confusing compared to what was listed on the website, due to the pop-up Malibu Barbie restaurant. But that venue was adorable with nice and friendly staff as well. It was like an unexpected attraction that we got to enjoy. I would definitely stay here again on our next visit to San Diego.

    There was complimentary breakfast...but only for hilton rewards members...which I understand. However the staff couldn't explain how those of us, who are not Hilton rewards members, could get breakfast. There is a Barbie restaurant attached to the hotel where breakfast could be purchased, but the staff didnt explain this. For two days we were given the impression we could get complimentary breakfast, but actually we had to leave the hotel, go to Barbie restaurant and pay. I am fine with paying, but the staff could have been better at explaining where the breakfast was, and it was not complimentary.

    I picked this hotel because of the pictures of the pool which showed this really nice and big pool. I was so excited thinking I would spend a lot of time by the pool. I was so disappointed when we came to swim. The pool was so tiny and it wasn’t even deep enough only by the waist line. So many kids and no way to swim. The jacuzzi was disgusting too, it was running with a foam and you could see dirt on top of the foam. Ugh.. But the rooms were good, comfy beds and sheets are not too hot. No bar or restaurant at the hotel. But the lobby was nice we could bring food and drinks and relax at the patio next to the check in desk. The location was great too for walking, parking is terrible in that area. The hotel offers valet for $70. But no self parking.

    I enjoyed that the hotel was in downtown San Diego so it was walkable and near everything. Downside was that the hotel had only valet parking. They did not allow you to park in the parking so you have to find parking around which may be a bit inconvenient and time consuming. The rooms are small and not very clean even with a chair having holes. The only great thing was the staff were all well proffessional, friendly, and helpful.

    The train tracks are behind the building so all night you hear the sub or train going by. Also you can’t self park it’s only valet parking a charge of $60 per night stay.

    I picked this hotel specifically for the pool as my son loves to go swimming and we enjoy the hot tub. However, once we sat down in the hot tub the Saturday evening we were there, we were horrified to see that we were sitting in black murky water. It was so dirty that I'm worried we caught something. The pool itself was also extremely dirty. Regarding staff, they were rude 2/3 of the time. The girl checking me in did not tell me anything about the property, where my room was or anything. Waiting for the valet the first day I was there was a very long experience. As I had to be somewhere at a certain time, when I asked "Isaac" the valet attendant at the desk, he rudely told me they had a lot of people, then quickly went back to flirting with what looked like one of the waitresses from the barbie pop up next door (so there wasn't even a hotel restaurant). On top of that, it was never disclosed upon booking that valet was REQUIRED and $60/day. So they basically take a $60/night deposit so they can keep it. Otherwise, the hotel room itself was clean and had a nice view, with comfortable beds. So that was a plus.

    Overall my stay was fine before arriving I wish I would have been told 1) about parking $60 a night however that does come with valet service which was excellent those guys were on point and it's in and out privileges which turned out to be a better deal than trying to find parking in the city 2) they turned the hotel bar into some Barbie cafe popup. Again not a huge deal but would have been nice to know ahead of my stay. The room had a few issues ( the a/c was a bit noisy, the shower head needed to be replaced and the fridge was leaky) but overall these things did not ruin my stay the staff was very friendly the breakfast options were great and saved me a lil time and money each morning the property it's self is very nice. The room view definitely could have been better ( I had a view of some office building and the railroad which is literally next to the property, while yes it was a bit noisy overall I'd say it was pretty low traffic while I was in the room) considering this location was very close to the harbor and the front desk attendant that checked me in had a choice of what room to put me in and knew I was on vacation I think he could have let me know or thought to put me in one with any kind of view of the harbor to make my stay just a little bit more special. Overall I'd say if you have events planned in downtown this is a great location just be sure to be prepared with any questions about what you'd think you'd need for you stay to make it a better experience.

    Our room faced the railroad tracks with an alley right behind and just under our window on the 2nd floor. I also felt the valet parking was overpriced and taking advantage of the limited availability of parking in the area. The amenities that we read about when booking made it sound as though there was self parking available but we were told that we would have to park in the street. We ended up taking our rental car back early and ubering when needed, which was still cheaper than paying for valet.

    This is the first time I stayed at this hotel and it was a great experience. The front desk staff was friendly and allowed me to check in early. The room was nice and spacious. The housekeeping staff were very friendly as was the restaurant staff. The hotel is located walking distance from Little Italy and a trolley station, and the bay is two blocks away. I am definitely staying here again.

    Hotel was very nice and in a decent part of town, the staff was amazing, they were very attentive and friendly. The room was clean and had an amazing view of the bay. Valet was very quick and always gentle with my vehicle. Not a far walking distance from the bay and walking distance to the USS Midway. Would definitely come back again!

    Location was OK. Next time I would stay closer to the convention center area. We paid for a harbor view room and got a partial view with hotel maintenance area right outside our window. Would have been better higher up. While there, restaurant was only serving breakfast. sheets and pillows could have been nicer. valet service was great.

    Front desk staff is rude and disengaged and not at all interested in helping the guest. They seem bothered and dismissive. Needs a class on how to treat guests with dignity and respect. Maybe pretend you like your job.

    This hotel had a receptionist named India who was very polite & nice. She charged $100 on card for miscellaneous. We had no charges but she went ahead and sent the charge on our credit card. I have called her repeatedly and was told she will call back but she has neither called or refunded the money. This is fraud.

    When I voiced my concerns about the inattentiveness, he responded by handing me a room key without a word and assigned me a room on the second floor—right next to the pool, gym, and ice machine. I was traveling with my mother, who suffers from migraines and desperately needs quiet to rest. This inconsiderate placement made our stay even more stressful and uncomfortable. To make matters worse, their website clearly states that parking is free. However, upon arrival, I was told there was no self-parking available and was charged $60 for valet. This misleading information felt like a bait-and-switch tactic. Overall, this hotel lacked professionalism, honesty, and basic customer care. I strongly urge others to avoid staying here at all costs. There are plenty of other accommodations that value their guests—this is not one of them.

    Carpet is unsanitary as it is, the carpet in the room was dirty. Recommend removing all carpet from guest rooms. Linoleum is easier to clean, maintain, and na be sanitized.

    Its an ok place to stay. I did like the pool, but the chemicals were really strong and there never were any towels. The food was too expensive at the Bayside Restaurant. There was only Valet for our car and it was $60/night. The TV kept in turning off and on. The walls are very thin, you can hear people talk, walk, move, and even snore.

    Overall, it was a great stay for the one night we were there. Would I stay again? Probably not. Some of the staff does not have the best customer service. We asked for a luggage roller to bring 8 pieces of luggage down the morning we checked out and were told they didn't have any. I was advised to come downstairs and check with Valet to which they didn't have any. I asked one of the girls working the front desk if they had any more in the back and she looked offended I asked if they had more in a different area. I was also told they didn't have any bellhops available to help bring the luggage down. My husband and I brought as many as we could down on the first trip and the valet asked if we needed help loading the car (probably looking for a tip) to which we replied we had it and actually needed help bringing it down. We did have a nice dinner at Monello that was only a 6 minute walk.
