This was a very clean and updated hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the staff was very helpful. We had an early departure and they were kind enough to prepare a to go breakfast for us. The location is beautiful and safe. There are nice restaurants nearby also. Would stay here again!

I can’t say enough nice things about this hotel. We arrived in San Diego after 9pm. We called them from the airport and they picked us up with in 10 minutes. The lobby had hot water, tea, and coffee waiting! The hotel was walking distance from the pier, nice walk. The staff ws nice and the room was clean. The shower was great and lots of towels. Would definitely recommend. We were in room 326.

The pillows were the worst. Definitely need to toss out and start over! We didn’t rest well at all due to the pillows and the carpet in the room looked like it needed a good steam cleaning

Proximity to airport. Staff was very nice including the morning airport shuttle driver. The front desk was overworked. They were doing there best but the hotel was fully booked and there was not enough staff to refill the hot water and look after everyone’s needs (on top of checking a constant flow of people checking in)

Functional hotel near the airport used for a one-night stay after a flight from the UK. Good-sized gym and pool (although I did not use the latter). Good - and free - transport to the car hire terminal at the airport. Nothing I didn't like - just fairly basic and functional (as advertised).

The first night was fine. The first associate that helped was nice, but they gave us an ADA room, which we didn’t ask for and had trouble using certain things since it’s for people with different abilities so that was frustrating. Then during check out the lady said she would email my receipt and there was no email attached apparently so when I called to get my copy the lady over the phone said the lady who checked us out on (5/30/26) should have seen that and asked for my email. That was rude and distasteful.

Friendly reception, convenient to airport , shuttle service was quick , room was clean and comfortable . No restaurant on site . Continental breakfast does open until 7 am so if you have early flight to catch it's unavailable. Was one of reasons for choosing this facility .

The breakfast is terrible for the most part unless you want a waffle. The rest is subpar. They used to have an ice water tank available in the lobby but that is gone. I inquired and the flippant response from the front desk personnel was that they only have that out during the summer. I guess we were 20 days too soon with our stay. (Actually, they used to always have the water out. They want to sell you a bottle for $6.) Regardless, the response was rude and will result in us looking for all of the other wonderful options that are available nearby.

Customer service thr lady seemed bothered by answering questions we had during check in for this reason we will think twice before booking again.. also breakfast had run out our second morning.. which was crazy to us. Also GPS was off due to construction.

Love the location easy to get downtown or lots of coastal access walking paths as well as a great walking path along the harbor. The room had a beautiful view of the harbor, Windows were soundproof could not hear anything, room was really comfortable, loved the size of the bathroom. Breakfast was also good and a treat to look forward to each morning.

After 1/2 wasted time w/LauraSophia on Hotels.com chat, we decided to accept that other room almost 25 minutes away. We didn't get in bed until 1:30 and got up at 3:30 to ensure we could get our car dropped off on time. We don't know for sure that our credit card wasn't charged any more beyond $45 for self park. But this was truly unacceptable. Enroute, after trying the wrong number that the Hotels.com chat agent Laura Sophia gave me, I found the correct number, and Achmed was again, not helpful. He offered to cancel the whole thing and refund our money. I said absolutely not! We needed a place to shower and rest even for an hour and a half or 2. Bad treatment by Hampton Inn!

Every staff member we encountered were very friendly and courteous, everyone we encountered said hello and asked if we needed anything. The hotel was clean and smelled like fresh laundry. The continental breakfast was very good, their biscuits and sausage gravy was delicious and the orange juice taste like fresh squeezed and not sour frozen concentrate. When we landed we decided to walk from terminal 2, it’s a short distance easy walk. They also have a shuttle that we used on our departure day. I definitely recommend this hotel and will most certainly be staying there again.

Due to hotel being overbooked, we were given a room at the sister hotel. We are grateful for the ease of this but we wish we had been notified in advance as our arrival was after midnight. The front desk attendant was very helpful and made the situation a lot better than it could have been.

This hotel is very well located, close to airport, and lovely walking by the Harbour. Shuttle bus worked out perfectly and driver so friendly and helpful. We didn’t have a chance to use pool or gym. Very comfortable beds. Free breakfast was decent too.

A beautiful, sparkling property, close to the airport. Appreciated the airport shuttle and full breakfast. An easy walk to restaurants.

There is nothing negative about our stay at this hotel. The hotel had a nice, clean, alluring smell. The room was flawless, very clean and welcoming. The beds were very comfortable. They provided plenty of towels, shampoo and conditioner and body wash, including a hair dryer. The free breakfast was buffet style with a variety of delicious options (egg cheese omelette, sausage patties, breakfast potatoes, waffle station, cereals, yogurts, toast, bagels, and muffins, and multiple juice options ). The coffee was also good. A give this hotel a 10 and highly recommend it.

The lobby is run down . Carpet looks dirty . I've stayed here several times because of the location but I think this will be the last . Saturday afternoon until evening shift for the Front office was not very nice but but rude either . There was no thoughtful attention on directing you to the elevators , WiFi i formation , breakfast time . You are in your own. It was not busy at all and the coffee bar was completely empty . People had to always ask her to fill it with coffee . I will definitely just stay in the hotel next door ...

The location is great and the hotel employees were very nice. This is the second time I have stayed there and I plan to stay there again sometime soon.

I made a reservation through Booking.com, but was told that there were no reservations, so a manager came over. When I told them my reservation number again, I found out that I had a reservation. I don't know if it was registration in Japanese or a system issue, but it seems like there was a discrepancy between Booking.com's system and Hampton Inn's system. I was very nervous, but I'm glad the manager resolved the issue.

Breakfast was good. For a pre-cruise overnight stop, the accomodations worked out well for us.

I didn't actually get to stay here because Hotels.com never conveyed my reservation to the hotel. After and hour and a half sitting in the lobby, I was finally re-directed to a different hotel. However, the front desk staff were absolutely supportive and sympathetic, so 5 stars for them. The place also looked great, although I only saw the lobby.

Located close to the airport and bus lines. Comfy beds but lousy pillows They don’t clean the rooms daily. In fact, we were told they were cleaned weekly if you stayed that long. We were there a total of five nights and it was not cleaned at all. Towels were replaced every second day upon request. Front desk staff told me it was common practice in US hotels since Covid.

My family and I stayed here for 1 night, over all our stay was comfortable. Room was clean and spacious. Hotel is in a great location, near shops and restaurants.

Location was great. The hotel is not run down and very clean. And the staff was very helpful, especially when our iron did not work. Our only complaint is there was hair in the shower.

The lighting could have been better. The breakfast was good, but a little disappointing. Less variety than at the 2 other inns we stayed at on this trip. No apples or oranges was particularly disappointing. No sausage.The first morning, but the second morning is sunday.There was delicious sausage and fried potatoes.

The staff was kind and helpful for the entirety of my stay. My room was clean. The bathroom did have long strands of hair on the floor and in the shower. The hotel is near other hotels and has a shared parking lot with plenty of spaces.

This was my first time staying at Hampton Inn & Suite and I was not disappointed. Rooms were very nice and clean. Staff were nice and breakfast was fresh and hot, limited choices but overall good.

My family and I stayed for 3 nights and it was just fantastic. They provide continental breakfast each day, which we ate every morning and they did switch it up a bit and the staff who make the food are just so lovely and very friendly! The rooms were spacious and clean! They have a laundry room and 24 hour gym guests can use. They also have a pool, which we did use and it was just all around great & we would definitely come back to stay again!

The rooms were shabby and dated although clean. Overall, not with the cost. We stayed at a cheaper hotel earlier that week in the same general area that was much cheaper and a better overall experience, so do your research.

Breakfast was so-so. I booked the hotel for the airport shuttle, and the driver left early and we did not get picked up. They offered no solutions, but gave us late check-out. It took two hours -- while renting a car -- to get to the hotel rather than 10 minutes. Not happy.

Really clean rooms and excellent staff. We had an issue with the AC not working but the staff was extremely prompt to try and fix the issue and ultimately move us to a new room at night.

I requested a water view room but got a room looking across the parking lot at another hotel, but it wasn't a big deal–just mentioning that if you are a stickler for money, be sure you get the view you pay for. I'd definitely stay here again, though!

The heater also wasn't working, and there was no engineer on duty. We requested extra blankets and although they were promised they were never brought up. There was no housekeeping on duty that night either. The refrigerator was unplugged and I had to get down and manuever to plug it back in. The room is very bland. Not very relaxing or appealing. We asked to speak to a manager several times but was never contacted by one. They tried to fix it by Comp-ing my parking... which i shouldn't be charged anyway... in my opinion. Overall my stay was a big let down abs i would not recommend this hotel to others

First, the greeting with the operator when I called for transportation from the airport. Then the driver picking us up and getting to the hotel. The front desk staff was wonderful. They gave us direction for restaurants walking distance. Everything here was wonderful form start to finish.

We booked this hotel because they have an airport shuttle. No place on the web site or app does it say that the shuttle stops at 1030pm. But it does. Leaving us to pay $26 for an Uber ride. Very disappointing .

Close to airport, pickup service from and to airport, clean. Helpful friendly staff. We enjoyed walking around the bay and marina at Spanish Landing park directly across from the location. There is also a pedestrian bridge to Liberty Station for restaurants and parks alongside the inlet.

Great place to stay near the airport! Although not 100% soundproof, I really only heard 2 planes max during my 3 night stay. Free breakfast was a plus, parking was never full and having a 24/7 fitness center was definitely a plus!

My family and I arrived at the hotel on January 1, 2026. As soon as I opened the door, the room was filled with a foul odor, reminiscent of dirty feet. While investigating the scent, I opened the closet to find two bags of rotting fast food and trash left behind by a previous guest. I also noticed chocolate residue on the carpet near the desk and a spider on the wall. Because the smell was awful, I went to the front desk to request someone to check the room and ask for a room change, as the room had clearly not been adequately cleaned. To my surprise, the front desk person had an unprofessional and dismissive attitude. She claimed that, because of the holiday, they were understaffed, as all the other staff were spending time with their families. In addition, she mentioned that the hotel was sold out and could not offer another room. Their 'solution' was for me to dispose of the trash personally. When my wife went to the front desk again with the trash bags to explain that the lack of cleanliness was unacceptable, they gave the same excuse and again told her to dispose of the trash herself. We asked for the on-duty manager, and we were told there was no one available. The next day, the same issue. Terrible stay this time

The hotel.com website says that the pool is heating up, but the pool doesn't heat up there and it's still dirty, it's unfair and ugly.

I was upgraded to a suit. I went out to enjoy new year on the marina and I did not let the rain ruin it.

Stop having guests pay for parking their cars in an open air parking lot for $25/night. I have never stayed in a hotel that charges that. It’s ridiculous. .

There was no remote control in the room. A worker left tubes of caulk on the bathroom sink. Breakfast was mediocre. To be fair it is Christmas week so workers are frazzled.

I would have appreciated knowing about paying for parking prior to planing the trip. I would’ve still paid it, but it would’ve been nice to be able to apply it to my budget. Also, there was an incidental charge, and I wasn’t sure what that was for and I was charged for it, yet I had no incidents.

I thought the location of the hotel was great. The cleanliness could have been much better. Our room had a hair in the sink. The downstairs breakfast seating had a disgusting spot with some sort of other gross stuff. The public bathroom on the first floor had a weird smell. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was not really good at all.

Everything was great - had no thermostat to turn on heater but after contacting front desk - the maintenance man came within 5 min and changed out the wall unit and it worked great!!!

Well definitely use this location again. Courtesy shuttle to and from the airport, but keep in mind that it’s not on a schedule. Call to request after you have your bags. The staff is very friendly and helpful with suggestions and directions, our king room was immaculate, and the bed was very comfortable. Although we were on the ground floor with the entrance of the hotel just outside our window, it was also very peaceful. Restaurants, convention center, naval medical center, and shopping are reasonably walkable but not for the mobility challenged. However, it means that ride share trips are inexpensive. Taxi is double the cost. The port of San Diego cruise terminal is 3.3 miles, and the Lyft was approximately 12 minutes and less than $12 before tip. We highly recommend.

Alwy, believe that’s how you spell his name, checked us in on Thursday night and he is incredible.. best customer service very warm endearing and a genuinely nice young man. Next time I’m in San Diego I will be staying there again because of alwys hospitality.

When we checked in we were given a room that was VERY dirty. We were switched rooms, and the second was ok, but had no soap in for the sink/bathroom and the minifridge did not work. Reasonable hotel, but could be cleaner and was not what we expected.

The room was big, the bathroom was pretty spacious. The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were too soft and had no firmness. Breakfast was supposed to be a top seller but was pretty disappointing. Not much for hot food selections. There were four hot options, one was biscuits, one was gravy and the other two or just eggs. No bacon, no sausage. For the price overall kind of disappointing but what stay there again? I would just have breakfast somewhere else.

We were not here long. It was so close to the airport that when the airport shuttle was full and our cab didn't show, we walked to the airport and made it in plenty of time. I also walked back from the airport after dropping off the rental car. Very convenient. The room was comfortable. The pool would have been better if the heater had been working. It was very cold. Bathroom was large and clean. Would stay again.

I'm a Hilton Honors member and 99% of the time I'd book directly via the Hilton App. On 10/19/25 I was bumped from my flight so had to spend a night in SAN. Since I have accumulated some keycash with Expedia, I went ahead and book a room for 1 night via expedia. The receptionist at the front desk did not look too enthusiastic and seem as though she's bored and would rather be somewhere else. I informed her that I'm a Hilton Silver member and requested a couple of complimentary bottled water. I was told that since I did not book via Hilton, they can't give that out. She told me I can get water by the coffee station. When I reached the station the water container was empty. She then told me that she'd fill it up later and that there's filtered water by the workout room. I was able to refill my water bottle there. I'd also requested for a breakfast to go since I have an early flight to catch the next morning. She told me she'd make a note to make sure there's breakfast in a bag for me to pick up. The next morning, the morning said he did not receive any note from the night shift receptionist. I'm totally disappointed with the low service level at this property. One good thing about this hotel is the airport shuttle service.

The breakfast manager opened a bit early for us doing the triathlon and he was still there when we finished. Great location.

The airport shuttle service was prompt and courteous despite what those that didn’t abide by the rules would say. When booking the shuttle we were informed that we needed to be ready a few minutes before departure; however, apparently others think that doesn’t apply to them. Kudos to the shuttle driver for staying on time. I felt safe when walking around the property which was nicely landscaped. The beds were oh so comfortable and the water pressure was nice. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely stay here again if I’m in the area.

Staff were very nice and accommodating. Hotel and room was clean but smelled like it may have also been a pet-friendly room. Complimentary breakfast was mediocre.... no protein (no bacon, sausage...) just country gravy that had bits of sausage but not everyone likes that heavy gravy.

Great trail network for biking or jogging

We stayed here while visiting for my son’s graduation from Marine boot camp. Was within walking distance of the airport and we also walked to several restaurants and to the recruit depot for the meet n greet and Family Day. The free breakfast was impressive- something for everyone— yogurt, fruit, eggs, sausage, waffles— and the coffee was great. The staff was really friendly and helpful- I couldn’t figure out how to adjust the AC and they promptly sent someone to our room to check it out. Overall - it was a really positive experience for us! My only complaint is that check in was pretty late -3pm- and I had to pay $75 for early check in because we had the meet n greet with my son on the Marine base at 3 so we needed to be able to change and get ready. Just seems like the check in could be earlier or the cost to check in could be lower.

We stayed for 4 nights and they didn’t clean the room utility the las night . We asked front desk twice and they said that they staff left early, I saw a cleaning lady and I asked my self the cleaning lady to go clean our room. Front desk lied.

We were in town for a wrestling tournament taking place at Liberty Station and this was the perfect location to stay for a few days. Having the breakfast included with the room made it easier for us to get to our event on time and without the hassle of searching for our meal. The staff was professional and attentive. The rooms were clean too. The pillows and bed were too soft for my taste, but we managed. My only critique is that the beds were very high.

Good price, free breakfast, and check out at noon, I didn't think this kind of service existed anymore. I was honestly impressed.

When the cleaning staff came into my room two days after I checked in, they replaced the used towels with clean ones and emptied the trash cans, but did not make the beds. The food options for breakfast were poor. It would’ve been nice to have more fresh fruit and bacon.

We enjoyed our very short stay at the Hampton Inn. Petra was so nice to allow us to extend check out at 1pm. My daughter enjoyed the two flavored waffle option. The property is big and lobby clean. The only downside was the smell of the room we got. It had a funky smell.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The venue was clean with outside seating and pool. The included breakfast included bagels, sliced bread, waffles, yogurt, fruits, etc. On the first day, the hot items were biscuits and gravy -- not like them at all with all carbs. The second day was better with sausages and cheese omelets.

Stayed here when my son graduated MCRD, it’s like 10 minutes away. Hotel is super clean, quiet and breakfast options are yummy. Beware you pay $25 a day to park, which makes no sense!

No room service available until 3 days . Matress were very uncomfortable so much that I got back spasm . Water in shower took forever to get warm . The carpet was not so clean either . Also breakfast food wasn’t all available either had to wait 45 min the shelf in bathroom was so wobble my stuff kept falling off

I paid a lot of money for a room that had stained carpet and stained furniture. The shower door wouldn't stay closed. the parking lot and pool are are very dirty. The staff is wonderful. I will not stay again, however, because I paid for a dirty room. I want to make it clear, this is not a staff issue.

We arrived early and wanted to pre-check in so we could leave our car while we got lunch, but they had rooms ready and checked us in over 2 hours early! Super nice and welcoming staff, and a beautiful, clean and renovated hotel. Very close to liberty station, just a quick 5 minute walk, also convenient to the airport. Our room is nice and quiet too.

Was barely here but was perfect for the time we had there. Outdoor firepit looked lovely.

This place has shuttle service to/from the airport and we only stayed one night. The bed was comfy and the shower was clean. I have minor complaints which really depends on how important these things are to you. The black out blinds were messed up, but did work. We tried to watch a movie but it was so pixelated and the TV sound did not work.
