Reviews
The hotel reviews are generally positive, with guests appreciating the cleanliness, friendly staff, and convenient location. However, there are recurring complaints about the small room size, noise, and breakfast quality.
- Cleanliness

- Small room size
- Noise and poor breakfast quality

The breakfast was outstanding, staff was nice and polite, room was clean and smell good
- 2/5
Pool was in need of a cleaning my wife would no go in
- 4/5
Breakfast ends promptly at 9:30. Hardly and food is left by 9:00, including coffee, and they didn't make more. If you are planning to eat the Continental breakfast, get there early.
- 4/5
We liked how central the hotel is to the beach, Mission Bay and the freeways.
- 4/5
The staffs here were extremely nice and helpful.
- 4/5
Clean room and breakfast was good. Stayed for UCSD graduation. Perfect for my family.
- 3/5
Rooms need more upkeep! Bathtub was dirty and blankets had stains.
- 2/5
The place is a bit old but clean. However, the breakfast could be better. The egg was overcooked and no sausage or bacon or pancakes. The staff was not helpful. I requested a fresh towel in the morning. When I came back at night, fresh towels were not there. When I went to see the front desk, he said he has no key to the maintenance room and not able to get me any towels until the morning. I had to use the used towels from last night. Not very helpful. I will most likely not coming back to this hotel.

The whole placed smelled like pot
- 5/5
It was Great clean I am happy
- 5/5
For the price great place.
- 2/5
If you're coming for the "pool", you will be very disappointed. The photos of this place are VERY misleading. The pool is the size of a jacuzzi and is filthy brown color, not blue like the photos. The place is very outdated/falling apart and rooms are TINY!! The A/C didn't work properly and we were hot and uncomfortable all night. Cleanliness was meh. Hair on the pillows and in the bathroom. Breakfast buffet was pretty bland and didn't have cream cheese or bagels or a pancake maker. The Lobby stunk like weed. There is no view of water or anything but a parking lot from this hotel. One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at and I've stayed at a lot.
- 5/5
The staff members were all so friendly and helpful from check in at the front desk to the attendant at the wonderful breakfast served. The rooms are older but very well maintained and very clean!
- 5/5
THE BED WAS SO SOFT ROOM WAS SO CLEAN BREAKFAST WAS GREAT AND THE PRICE WAS KILLER FOR THE LOCATION really a great place to stay
- 3/5
The first room we got at check in smelled terribly of mildew from the AC. Office staff was extremely helpful and moved us immediately when I voiced concern. The complimentary hot breakfast was pretty good. The room was clean, everything worked, no complaints. I chose to stay there due to their central location decent rate and ease of parking. Not the greatest place to stay and definitely not the worst. I would recommend, if one is okay with middle of the road accommodations.

Greentree was a nice place to stay but we wanted to spend our time at the beach so we had to Uber every day/night.
- 3/5
Overall ok stay(2nights)…room wasn’t the best but it was alright. When I checked in all went great(quick and easy) they requested 50$ deposit (wasn’t aware it was required). Went to the room looked ok, it was missing wash clothes, the sink was draining slowly (I did notice staff, it didn’t get fix nor room change), room seem clean. My first night was good, second night there was a lot of noise in the hallways (a lot of teens running, closing doors, yelling) .
- 1/5
LEAVING Everything happens including room keys that did not work and phones not working in rooms....moved to fresh room with working phone......2NIGHTS @ $100 each...Ridiculous.....MR POTTER
- 3/5
Our room was clean and the location was fairly good. However, the property was not well maintained. The ice machine on our floor was broken our entire 4-day stay. Bathtub leaked and when I say leaked I mean I could have filled a bucket of water with it within a few minutes. Blinds wouldn't close properly so the annoying light shined in. When we asked for a maintenance person, they said he was not on site. Eventually they moved us to a different room which was better.
- 3/5
Our room was near the dining hall and it was extremely noisy night and day.\n Especially if people wanted to get up at 6 o'clock and you wanted to sleep in

Took my grandson there for his 3rd birthday…. After dinner, in the middle of the night, both he and his sister(4yrs) got sick and threw up. Management charged 50.00 x2 for the soiled sheets ! Pitiful!!!! Lil kids have no control when they are in pain. Never stay with them again!

Also hotel front desk staff will make it seem like it’s YOUR FAULT THAT HOTEL KEYS DO NOT WORK!!! They didn’t even apologize for it happening. We had to go to front desk to have it redone 3 times because it would not either open your hotel room or the front door to get into to building. Breakfast was good but it’s the same thing everyday! We stayed for 3 days!

Overall, my stay was pleasant. I really appreciated the convenient location, which made it easy to get to all the places I wanted to visit. The only downside was the breakfast selection — it lacked some of the standard items I usually expect, like waffles and cream cheese. A bit more variety would make the experience even better.”

The hotel is conveniently located near the Grass Skirt tiki bar and reasonably priced.

As a budget motel it’s very good. Staff are courteous and helpful. Good location. Restaurants nearby are in walking distance being Japanese, Thai and Mexican all good. Also a 7/11 nearby. Rooms were fine, clean and tidy. Very good breakfast provided too.
- 5/5
Everything was very good and I had a good trip thanks to the stay.
- 4/5
Good location, convenient
- 5/5
The property is clean and the breakfast is great. The windows and walls are thin so you can hear a lot going on outside and through the walls.
- 5/5
Very good experience!!! Definitely worth the price!!!

Rooms were OK if you were paying $80-90 a night. We arrived at 11:15am to let them know we will be back for check in later she said after 3 pm. I asked for a ground floor being over 80yrs old and Handycapped. The lady said she would leave a note to give us a ground floor. When we arreved back to check in NO note the desk man said and gave us a room 3rd floor the farthest from the elevator. We were told they served biscuts and gravy. No they didn't. They had thin round egg patty and sausage pattys. We were there for our granddaughters Graduation from USD.
- 1/5
Checked in the room and had a musty smell, then the A/C didn’t work, went to front desk, and they didn’t have an extra room, so they offered me a full refund or partial refund if I were to stay the night. I opted to get a full refund, but I had to contact Expedia. Called Expedia about the situation and they called the hotel twice at different times to get a confirmation but the hotel never picked up, both times!! This is so annoying and such an inconvenience that I had to look for another hotel late at night, and now I don’t even know what’s the refund status. I hope no one has to go through this. The communication from the hotel sucks. Stay away from it!!
- 3/5
The room was great, comfortable beds, clean, great breakfast however the so called “pool” was absolutely disgusting. Rat feces all over the pool deck and the pool itself is barely bigger than a hot tub and the bottom looks as though it’s never been cleaned. If you advertise a pool, please at least maintain it!! Otherwise the stay itself was great.

The room and bathroom were clean. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was the usual when included in the room. But the coffee was great. Great price for the stay.
- 3/5
The room had a strong smell of Clorox but otherwise the room was clean. Outside our door the first day was a powder that was spread all over the hallway for about 10 yards. We asked a housekeeper and she said they put down an absorbent down because of mold.

Great experience for sure!

I didn’t like anything about this place!
- 4/5
Great value and easy location to drive to downtown, harbor and all other places of interest in San Diego. Close to a park with beaches. Opposite is a small convenience store. Hotel is a bit dated but clean and comfortable. Average breakfast. Staff very nice and helpful. Perfect for our 2 night stay. Pool is small but looks nice enough to lounge in and cool down.

I chose this property due to its nearness of the bay. I bring my folding bike and cruise down on a trip for work out. The room I got was clean with good supplies soap, shampoo, conditioner, and a good working mattress and TV with cable. I never tried using the pool ,but it look like it needed service. I was more into using the gym right down the hall from my room. I like that the room had a refrigerator ,microwave and a bathtub , for us this is a must ! I enjoyed my stay at the Green Tree Inn ,as I was well rested when we left. I needed towel and the staff quickly brought a supply... nice . Thank you Green Tree Inn. :)
- 5/5
The ac takes a bit to cool down the room and the sink faucet leaked when it turned on every time.
- 4/5
Housekeeping only every other day. They didn't come and refresh my coffee for the next morning.
- 4/5
Comfortable, clean room at an affordable price. Close to Mission Bay with easy access to Old Town Transit center via city bus. Would stay there again.
- 3/5
Room was nice, and equipped with needed amenities like small ref, microwave, coffee maker, iron & board. Beds are ok. But water pressure wasnt good enough on the shower. Breakfast could have been ok if the options differ on other days. Parking is quite tight on the area near the entrance to the building. One big issue we encountered though was that, on one of the emergency exit by the stairs opening up to the street has a rock wedged to keep it from shutting off as it only opens from inside, We're not sure if a staff or a guest did that and for what reason but it is a big security breach as far as we are concerned, see photo attached. If not for that, we probably could opt to stay there again next time around.
- 5/5
Clean and good location for our trip
- 4/5
We hade a toilet that was not working properly one evening and called the front desk. They informed us there was no one on site to help and that they were the front desk and could not assist us. They need a better plan in place to deal with issues on weekends. Guests need toilets and showers and running water. The AC was fabulous!

To start off we got to the hotel at 8PM and we were very tired from our road trip and the first room they gave us had a lot of concerns. The room looked dirty and there was a weird smell in there. My boyfriend insisted on leaving it alone but I checked everywhere and while looking at the window there was a big spider nest right on top of the window. There were so many little spiders everywhere! We went downstairs and told them and they acted shocked about the situation. They gave us a new room it was cleaner than the original room but there was still a smell in there that was not good. I didn’t want to go downstairs and complain so we just stayed there. The pool was tiny with no jacuzzi. The breakfast wasn’t good and it was always empty which would never get refilled until we told them. Also the parking was horrible as well it was so small and the cars looked like they would hit each other. People had to get assistance to be able to get out of that parking lot.

Great breakfast. Comfy beds! The pool is comically small but we spent very little time at the hotel and were there to explore the city. This place is 10 minutes from EVERYTHING! Seaworld, zoo, airport, beach. Staff was amazing and breakfast was sausage, eggs and potatoes. One day we had biscuits and gravy!!! If you’re looking for a cheap place for your family to do San Diego this is it!! You will save so much on breakfast!
- 4/5
Clean room, quilt in the second floor. Plenty of parking, well lighting in parking area. The price was reasonable during the weekdays. Close to fast food places like Rubio’s for a quick meal and a 7/11 store for quick food and other things. All in all it was a nice place to stay.

I got a room on the second floor and the fridge wasn’t working so they moved me to the third floor to a smaller room. The room was clean which I appreciated. Minimal amount of amenities, and sadly really bad pillows. My neck was stiff during my stay. Walls were thin. A group of teenagers kept me awake until 1am in one of the nights. Screaming and slamming doors. I had an issue regarding not getting housekeeping on my first day after coming back exhausted from a conference at 6pm. They said they only come to clean every other day but my reservation said daily. They completely dismissed me, didn’t apologize or at least acknowledge the mistake. They were rude and just said: “Well, the housekeepers are gone, and you made reservations through a third party so you need to contact them to complain” No accountability, not apologies. Awful customer service. Breakfast was poor in quality and variety, except for the coffee. The coffee was surprisingly REALLY good, so I got my own food and had their delicious coffee. Would I stay there again? No. Was it the worst experience I’ve ever had? No.

Drainage plug missing in bathtub.
- 4/5
Staff is very friendly. Rooms are always clean. The hallway and the stairwells can be a bit noisy due to how they’re built which is my only main complaint but that’s also since I work nights. Currently there’s a mildew smell on the first floor hopefully they are fixing this!

It was good all around. Will be booking my stay there again if any rooms are available

Traveled from Lake Havasu City, AZ for a SCORA outrigger race. After a long drive and dropping off and rigging three of our 6-man canoes, it was finally time to check in. We were greeted with your friendly staff and had our room keys in minutes. Our room was excellent and well maintained. I would stay here again in the future.

I would stay here again. The staff was courteous, the hotel was conveniently located and I felt safe as a solo traveler. Having said that : I was not expecting such a tiny pool and there was no space to walk between the patio furniture and the edge of the pool which was not safe. The breakfast was good but limited in variety. There wasn’t even decaf coffee or peanut butter. The room was very small which was ok for just me.

Low water pressure for the toilet and shower. Breakfast was decent, like to see maybe add waffles and bacon to give a variety instead of same stuff everyday and oatmeal is too runny, needs to be thicker.

Be careful staying at this hotel I woke up with severe back pain. I called to tell them about it, and the girl in the front said why didn’t I tell them so they could switch me beds? Like I was supposed to know I was going to wake up with severe back pain due to the mattress. One matress was soft while the other was hard like a rock and I only realized until I went to go lay down with my daughter in the morning. I would will NEVER book with them again.

The reviews on this place are highly misleading. Cleanliness was not up to par we had to switch rooms because the first room had hair on the towels and someone else's rubber bands on the floor, bathtub was disgusting in both rooms, showered with my slides on. Sheets and towels were tough and stained, there was left over trash on debris under the beds. Parking sucked. Spots were so tight, our rental even got hit during the night. Day staff was friendly, night staff was extremely rude. Will never be back. Pics of pool are misleading. Thought I was going to have a relaxing experience, but no, no bath, no swim, the two things I was most looking forward to. We had a wedding to attend and didnt have time for refund process and to find a new place, so we used the room to sleep and get dressed only. Highly disappointed, and I feel mislead by the other reviews, they have to be paid for and fake!!!!

The location The rooms smelled - our first room smelled like urine so they moved us and it initially smelled fine but then started to smell like sewage. The pool had bugs and tons of sand to the point that my kids didn't want to get it in. The lobby and hallways were ridiculously warm. We asked the front desk for a blanket and they didn't have any. The rooms are way darker and smaller than they look in the photos.

My room was immaculate, the bed was comfy (loved the embroidered pillowcases), and the hot shower was a pleasant surprise. Staff receives high marks for courtesy and response. I highly recommend this property if quiet and cleanliness are important considerations for you. I enjoyed my stay there and am certain you would as well.

Dirty room and outdated
- 2.5/5
Parking was always available, staff was really nice, issue were resolved quickly, room was ok. My stay had several issues that impacted the overall experience. The room was not thoroughly cleaned upon arrival—I found long hairs in the shower and a tank top that appeared to belong to a previous guest. There was also a strong chemical odor outside the building that was unpleasant. Throughout my 12-day stay, I experienced repeated problems with my key card, which failed to work on both my room and the building entrance on about half the days. Additionally, there was a car alarm going off every morning around 8–9 AM, which became a consistent disturbance. For the final five days of my stay, my room was not serviced at all—no cleaning, fresh towels, or bed-making. I understand housekeeping is scheduled every three days, but it appears this was missed. Overall, these issues made the stay less comfortable than expected.

The room was clean but dated. The toilet drained slowly. It stopped draining and we were unable to have maintenance fix it for 12 hours because there was no one there. It was fixed after our second trip to the desk in the morning (once maintenance arrived). The cordless phone didn't actually charge (because there was no cord to plug in the base) so it was basically a throwback to look at from the 90s. Breakfast included was hot and fresh. It was usually eggs, potatoes, and sausage patties. There was also oatmeal, toast, yogurt, cereal and fruit. Parking was easy. Easy location to get to. 200ft to the original Rubio's.

Great hotel and in a great location
- 5/5
The location of this hotel is prime. It is next to major freeways and Garnet Avenue in Pacific Beach. We were able to enjoy good restaurants close by. There is plenty of hotel parking and the breakfast was pretty good. You get what you pay for. One down side is if you are staying on the far side of the hotel, there are no entrances, only exits. The only entrances are in the middle of the building or closer to the office. Otherwise, we loved how convenient this hotel was.
- 4/5
Overall, the hotel property was cleaned. Staff were kind and respectful. The room was cleaned and simple. However, the AC produced an “old” smell, not moldy but like an attic or basement smell. The hotel was located on a very inconvenient one way street that didn’t allow u-turns so many times depending on which highway exit you’re coming from, you had to go around back behind the hotel and around the neighborhood just to get on the right side of the street the hotel sits on to access the hotel. Breakfast was very basic and simple - eggs, sausage or biscuits and gravel or cereal or oatmeal.

The hotel had a horrible smell
- 2/5
We werent expecting a lot considering how much we paid but the rooms were not clean. The shower had hair in it, there was tooth picks left from the last guests, and the smell was not pleasant. We had to tell ourselves it was just for the night and to just rest our heads. When we got up for breakfast it was not a very big selection and the food was very blan and not good even the juice tasted funky. We will not recommend or stay here again. We will definitely be spending a bit more money for more cleanliness and better food as well as hopefully a little bit more comfortable beds.
- 4/5
Friendly housekeeping and breakfast staff. Breakfast is average and pool is tiny. Air coming from the AC unit smelled bad so the room had a bad odor the entire time. Overall clean and comfortable place to stay.

Breakfast was just ok

Clean King bed room and early breakfast were appreciated during our San Diego Birding Festival stay. Second time to stay here, and we liked the room on the 3rd floor, facing the back of the property. It was a bit quieter than our stay last year, facing the street. WE appreciated the elevator, and using the stairs for more Steps. We liked the screened window that we could open for fresh breezy air. No room cleaning is offered unless staying more than 3 nights. (We did trade out some towels.) The property behind the hotel stores other vehicles and has some awful all-night lighting, which reviews had warned me of, so I brought a few clothes pins, which will now stay in my suitcase, to keep the curtains closed. The included (not "free") Breakfast was somewhat adequate (so we must be grateful), but coffee was very weak, and options were very meager. Some egg and odd sausage offerings. No waffle or pancake. There was sliced bread to make toast. 3 sugary cereals-- give us some Bran Flakes, Please! Oatmeal could have been good, but was like a very watered-down soup, each day. Yogurts, apples, occasionally some bananas. PARKING is very good. Staff was friendly.

Hotel was fine for what we needed. Pool was very dirty and super small. We didn’t really care, we came for the beach. Staff was super nice and friendly. Breakfast was ok, but wish you had some pancakes and bacon options. Also English muffins or muffins. We would stay here again due to location and staff.
- 3/5
Breakfast was the same everyday. Potatoes, peppers and onions were barely cooked. Toast only. Faucet in tub ran nonstop. Took 2 days for maintenance to respond. Best part was the price and location.
- 5/5
Great location with easy drive to activities. Clean, friendly, and safe environment.
- 4/5
Would have given 5 stars but no place to sit outside except at the pool! Would have liked benches
- 3/5
Customer service needs attention
- 4/5
Breakfast was above average. Laundry facilities appreciated. Shower was adequate. Fitness room was good.
- 5/5
I wanted to stay near Mission Beach without actually being down in the thick of it. I found this online and the price was right and it was within walking distance of De Anza Cove. Had a good central location, easy off and on the freeways. Close to Seaworld and old town.
- 4/5
Room very clean. We were assigned room 112 first room next to entrance. Very noisy people coming and going, hard to sleep.
- 4/5
Everything was good.
- 5/5
Loved the room really clean the only thing was the pool wasent what we expected but loved the stay
- 5/5
Lovely
- 3/5
Room was very small and the "pool" is the size of a hot tub, very disappointing as we booked so our kids could play in a pool. Breakfast was decent but that was about all that was good about this hotel.
- 4/5
Clean rooms, decent breakfast, friendly staffs, nice pool, convenient location close to beach, SeaWorld and Zoo. Good value for the money.
- 4.5/5
Quite, comfortable and had nice staff. We left a suitcase behind and staff called to let me know so I could have someone pick it up. Could use a little more cleaning.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was helpful and polite.
- 4/5
Good hotel. The staff is friendly. The room is clean. The breakfast wasn’t good.
- 2/5
If you need a place to lay your head and have breakfast in the morn, this works. Small rooms. First floor smells like a marijuana farm. Only benefit is that it’s central to La Jolla- Old Town- Pacific Beach areas. Probably won’t stay here again unless I have to.
- 2/5
Pretty old and run down property. Most staff was nice. Parking lot was small and very crowded I can see how easily accidents can occur. Rooms were standard size with sink area separate from toilet and bathtub (never seen this layout). Thin walls and doors (I feel like you can kick it open very easily). Whole inside of the property reeked of marijuana the first night despite signs indicating 100% smoke free hotel. Breakfast was ok. Beds were comfy though and location was great for visiting Seaworld and nice beaches.
- 3/5
Online pictures are so deceiving. The online pictures represented a glammed up version of reality. Not the worse hotel I have stayed at and not the best. It is not modernized. However the location is perfect and the price is good enough for what you actually get.
- 1/5
The hotel canceled my reservation due to maintenance and didn't alert us ahead of time. So when I showed up they didn't have a room for me. They stated I'd get a refund but that hasn't happened yet

Staff that works there were kind and very friendly.

Short stay…late arrival and early departure slept well
- 3/5
Room smelled funny like wet dollar bills Heater smelled like old furnace toxic Shover faucet wont stop dripping
- 5/5
clean room and lovely staff!
- 4/5
Beds, Shower, refrigerator . . . All were wonderful. Room was nice and cozy! Jennifer at the front desk was NOT pleasant to us upon our arrival. Especially when we asked her about early check-in. She has No "People Skill." On numerous occasions we told the front desk that the TV in our room was not working properly. 2 technicians came out and the problem still was not rectified. Today is Thursday and I still haven't received my $50 refund.

Clean room
- 3/5
Room seemed small, bed was 4' from the door. Some staff was not helpful, asked one staff to tell me the nearest sit down restaurant was (even gave suggestions of some) they told me about a taco place but you have to order than take food (not sit down); a restaurant that has sushi, or McDonalds. I asked is that all and she said I gave you choices so pick one. Not eating sushi (bait food) or didnt want fast food. Not helpful at all and down right rude, tell me I gave your options does not a friendly visit make. Another staff member helped me with directions to the nearest laundromat. I will not be staying at this motel again.

Was the room fine, yes. The staff was nice. However at 4:35am we were awoken by a screaming domestic dispute and ended up calling 911. There was multiple door slamming and screaming the F word and as we were concerned it would escalate to violence we thought we should report it. We came for a wedding and didn’t know the area and thought it was a good price. I would be willing to pay double what I paid to stay somewhere else where I felt safer. We checked out as soon as we could and didn’t stay for breakfast in case we saw who we had to call the police on. I don’t know if the front desk knew, but when we checked out nothing was said, no discount or reimbursement was offered so I would not stay here again. I’m sure this isn’t a nightly occurrence, however it wasn’t a great area and I didn’t feel safe after the police came and interviewed the person across the hall and then knocked on our door and questioned my husband and me.
- 1/5
There were roaches in the sower drain. And I haven’t received my deposit back
- 1.5/5
I couldn’t feel the air so it was stuffy and the random people laughing and making all kinds of noises in the hallway
- 3/5
Everything was good except one thing. They checked us in into room 112 which is right next to the entrance of the building. It was difficult to sleep due to the foot traffic and noise coming from the people coming in and out. Your going to need ear plugs if you sleep in that room.
- 2/5
Rooms were out of date. Also found bed bug activity in the first room where we originally were gonna stay. Beds were very uncomfortable. Restroom didn’t function correct. But the staff was very friendly.
- 2/5
The whole building smells like smoke and cigarette. The room wasn’t the cleanest and had a slight molding smell. Very early in the morning there was so much noice on the floor above, as if there was construction going on, we could not sleep. When asked if we could be given another room because of the noice they denied us and just said they would call the people above us. We had to book something last minute so I guess you get what you pay for.
- 5/5
It was an older building but very clean and everyone was so nice and they kept the dining clean and had great breakfast options and it was overall a quiet location. The google map took to the wrong side of the street and would be easier to find in day light when using the Google link. Would love to stay here again when traveling.

- 4/5
The free breakfast was really nice, the staff was really nice. The property was OK a little bit older unfortunately it was extremely noisy. No fault to the hotels but there were someone walking up and down our hallway on the phone until 1 AM.
- 4/5
Room was nice with big bed!
- 5/5
Very generous staff. They let me store my bags before i checked in which was very convenient! The bed was comfortable and the soap smelled good haha
- 4/5
Clean...an oldie but goodie. If you're wheelchair bound, you'll love them! Massive handicap accessible bathroom with a roll in shower and the bed was "Goldie Lock-ish", not too hard and not too soft and not too high up! LOVED IT!
- 5/5
Quick check in. Asked for 3rd floor and no problem. very clean room and very quiet. Great breakfast eggs, sausage, potatoes and hot cooked oatmeal plus cereal. Love our stay.
- 4/5
Great stay
- 4/5
Room was nice and cleaned, which is very much appreciated after traveling for several hours and all I want is to come to a clean room and bed to sleep. The night reception was quiet and serious but the morning reception was so friendly and smiling. I would definitely recommend this place, reasonable in price, cleaned room/bed, and very quiet.
- 5/5
Nice staff, spotless room
- 5/5
Good room for the price.
- 4/5

- 5/5
Room was clean. Smelled fresh. No parties in my vicinity. Pretty good breakfast.
- 5/5
Convenient and cheap
- 5/5
Great stay! Clean rooms and friendly staff. Highly recommended for the price point.
- 5/5
Clean room, staff was friendly. They offered hot breakfast. Loved the bathtub and the relaxing bath. Only issue I had was that I need the room cold and dark when I sleep or I get migraines. The A/C did not keep the room cold and I woke up in a sweat and with a headache. The blinds did not close all the way so I had the lights from outside shinning in my room which made it hard for me to get to sleep.
- 5/5
Having breakfast before heading out is very convenient. The people is friendly.
- 4/5
We stayed 3 nights. The hotel was older and in need of some updates but overall very comfortable. Our room was very clean but way too small. It was very crowded with 2 suitcases. We made it work. Our TV was not working but the maintenance person switched it out with a working TV. The breakfast area was very clean. Breakfast choices were slim. Hot food was ok and two choices for bread for toast. We felt safe in the area around the hotel and was at a great location being close to most of the top attractions and beaches.
- 5/5
Room was clean but the bed was kind of wobbly

Location as it was close to everything in the surrounding area that we wanted to go to Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was disappointing. The staff wasn’t particularly friendly—something as simple as a smile or a warm “enjoy your stay” can really make a difference, but that basic courtesy was missing. Breakfast was another letdown, with undercooked potatoes and little to enjoy overall. While the room appeared clean—especially the linens and bathroom—there was an overwhelming odor that made it difficult to relax. It smelled strongly of cat urine, and the odor intensified whenever the AC was on. We had to turn it off and open the window just to make the room bearable. Thankfully, the weather was cool, so we managed, but it's unacceptable that the AC couldn’t be used due to the smell. I understand this is an older hotel—I actually grew up just a few blocks away when it was still the Comfort Inn (if I remember correctly)—but that odor, likely coming from the AC unit or possibly the carpet, needs to be addressed. An upgrade to the HVAC system and a deep carpet cleaning would go a long way. When I requested new room keys, I mentioned the odor to the front desk staff. Unfortunately, my comment was completely disregarded. The woman simply handed me the keys without any acknowledgment or apology, let alone offering an alternative room. As someone who manages over 420 Airbnb properties in Big Bear Lake, I can confidently say this level of customer service is unacceptable. We spent minimal time in the room, so we chose to deal with the issue, but the experience left a poor impression. The beds were also very firm and not particularly comfortable. Based on this visit, I would not recommend this hotel and do not plan to return. Room 208, in particular, requires immediate attention due to the AC and odor issues, and the staff could benefit greatly from customer service training.
- 5/5
The Hotel, rooms were really clean, courteous staff. And also parking included a big plus for me
- 3/5
The room was clean and in good condition for its age. Not unpleasant stay, but definitely not a 3 star property.
- 4/5
For the first time in recent memory, our room was cleaned, towels changed every other day. Didnt even get that at higher priced hotels. Breakfast foods were ok but nothing special
- 5/5
The staff was very nice and great location
- 1/5
Breakfast wasnt the best... my 10 year old gave it 3 stars out of 10... lol and he eats ramen noodles and thinks thats a 10 out of 10.. The rooms do smell as well as the hallway. We checked in late and were told there was no extra blankets nor pillows. So at this price point my expectations were to at least have that.
- 2/5
Room smells something that gives me headache.
- 4/5
Check in was fast and efficient. Room and bathroom were clean except for a bit of musty odor when we entered the room. Beds were comfortable.Breakfast was basic but sufficient with the breakfast room maintained well. Conveniently located to lots of places to visit around.
- 3/5
- 2/5
Reception area reeked marijuna during check in. When we gave that feedback to the morning staff, they didn't take it seriously and blamed it on the guests arriving high. The room smell was off as well. The bathtub didn't look clean. The bath towels were extremely small, not even enough to cover waist/bust. Overall, we didn't feel at ease at this hotel and woke up & left earlier than we planned.
- 3/5
Nice
- 2/5
Small room, too small
- 3/5
Clean room, comfortable bed. Ok breakfast. Nice level from outside traffic and hallway must be addressed.
- 5/5
Great Staff! Clean rooms.
- 4/5
Clean room, night staff ok, day staff friendly, breakfast is good, plenty of parking.
- 4/5
We initially had a room with a shower valve that was not installed correctly so we couldn’t get hot water but that was quickly resolved when we asked for a different room. The second room was very clean, had soap, shampoo and conditioner, comfortable bed, and hot water. Everything was great. And the free continental breakfast was a bonus too!

Nothing special, either good or bad. Adequate accommodations for 2 nights.

The staff stood out. They were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was awesome. Hot and cold food.

Pleasant staff! Breakfast could add waffle iron and pastries and bananas.
- 4/5
Friendly staff, clean room and decent breakfast.

- 4/5
The room was clean and staff members were friendly. The toilet paper and Kleenex were one ply and really thin.
- 5/5
Breakfast was ok.
- 3/5
I was on the second floor and I could hear the noise the people were making on the third floor room above me. It was disturbing and annoying. Otherwise I do not have any complaints about the hotel. But hearing others noisiness was annoying and affected my sleep
- 4/5
Courteous staff and clean room.
- 4/5
Older hotel and amenities but it was all kept very clean.
- 4/5
Rooms were clean, but shower water would not turn off completely. Free parking was nice, as well as free wi-fi.
- 3/5
Everything was clean but pretty run down. The staff was kind and friendly.
- 5/5
Room was clean
- 3/5
Decent hotel in a pinch. Not in a great area, hotel was actively painting the entrance doors and handrails during check-in time, possibly not the best planning as multiple customers (including myself) got wet paint on us trying to access our rooms
- 4/5
The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was clean, but the shower wasn’t working. When we call the main office they offered to change the room, which was nice.
- 4/5
I stayed in for almost 2 weeks great staff all helpful. Just minor complains like doors in the room need better alignment large gap between door and frame so a beam of light from hallway can be seen when door is closed. The room I was in sink leaks after a few minutes of constantly running water. No security so homeless roam around in the parking lot and dumpster. Laundry facility is good just ask the front desk for change to use in the machine do not use csc mobile pay it doesn't work. Overall room is clean, no stain on sheets or towels, and room gets clean every 2 days. The hot breakfast is good enough to start your day.
- 1/5
I have stayed here twice. The second time was an accident because I did not remember the name of the place. This place has an awful smell. Throughout the hallways it just smells really awful. The room itself is just average. It definitely needs updating. The bed was very uncomfortable. The parking is free. That is a huge plus. The last time I stayed here I got up at 3:00 AM and left. The bed was so uncomfortable that I could not stand it. Then I tried to go turn in my keys but no one was there. I waited 15 minutes and no one came. That meant I had to drive all the way back there to drop off the keys later that day. Also the first time I stayed here when I was on my way to check out a homeless couple approached me and asked me if I could add them to my room as guests so they could have breakfast. I felt really uncomfortable doing so. I told the front desk person but she acted like it was not a big deal. I do not know if it happens often and that is why her response seemed unbothered. At any rate I gave them a $20 bill for breakfast and left. So between that and the smell I will definitely never stay here again!
- 5/5
This hotel has become a bit of a hidden gem. The rooms are a bit small, especially the bathroom, but it is comfortable, quiet, convenient and the breakfast was very nice and tasty. So glad they had an available room when we had to do a late night relocation from where we had previously booked due to A LOT of problems at the prior hotel.
- 5/5

Very small room. Breakfast was poor
- 2/5
The good and selection was very minimal and they started packing it away before breakfast was over. Had to ask for coffee.
- 1/5
Esp since I didn’t get any bites. I was sleeping on the other bed. We checked out of the inn, she came home and her nurse mom told her they were bed bugs bites and she had to take meds for the reactions. We contract the hotel thru Expedia and the hotel said nothing they can do bc we didn’t say anything during the stay. I have pictures of bites at well.
- 4/5
Room was clean. Location was ideal for this business trip. The parks nearby were an added bonus.

They were great! They were able to accommodate our needs being such a big group. Thank you

The room was smelly, from moldy carpet I believe.

Room looked and smelled clean, location was great for doing tourist stuff and having included & easy parking was a nice bonus. We'd absolutely stay here again.

Our recently renovated room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The no-added-cost parking was great. We stayed 4 nights. The breakfast was disappointing with very little variety. The hotel itself is pretty quiet but it is on a busy, loud street. The pool is extremely small and dirty. For the price, it met our needs since we spent most of our time at the beaches.
- 5/5
The bed was absolutely comfortable, room was clean, staff was helpful and kind.
- 3/5
Room have some smell but After turn on the ac is better
- 5/5
We did not eat breakfast, but it looked as if it had limited choices.
- 3/5
You could hear the water pipes in the room and the key card would get demagnetized every day if you place it near a cel phone or an rfid protective wallet which I have.
- 3/5
Ok
- 5/5
The room was comfortable for 3 people and there was sufficient parking. Breakfast menu was good as well.
- 5/5
Good location
- 4/5
Great location. Clean hotel and friendly staff. Bed was also comfortable.
- 4/5
The room was nice & clean and comfy, however we were disappointed that there wasn't a working ice machine on our floor. We were on the 3rd floor so that was a big inconvenience. Another issue we seemed was a bit of a safety hazard was the showers. They were very Slippery & I Slipped. It was a very scary situation.
- 4/5
Very clean!
- 3/5
We seemed to have bad luck on our stay there. The power went out one night at about 9PM (not much to do at that time other than sit around a dark hotel room until bed time) and then came back on at about 3AM (we should have turned the lights and stuff off since they woke us up when they came back on. We had a fire alarm go off one morning about 7am. We had a couple phone calls to our room when we answered, no one spoke. The elevator didn't work for up one night after we had just gotten back from shopping so that was unfortunate. We also found that the breakfast on Sunday was not as good as the breakfasts during the week. Sunday was disappointing by comparison. There was also a bit of a staff discussion that seemed like a disagreement while we waited for the elevator one day. Overall it was ok, but some of the issues that had happened did make the stay a little less than great.
- 5/5
Nice & quiet rooms, great breakfasts!
- 5/5
The room was spotless
- 1/5
Gross. Hotel has definitely photo shopped the pictures. Hotel carpet throughout is stained and falling apart. Furniture is damaged. Our AC unit front cover kept falling off even after the staff member literally kicked it to snap on. Breakfast was a temu version of holiday inn. You’re better off just going to jack in the box or McDonalds. Checked the bed for bedbugs. Luckily our room didn’t have any. Went to take a shower and black stuff came out of the tube faucet which is most likely mildew. Complained to the staff but due to occupancy was just told sorry. No accommodation or some discount. This hotel is a solid (1). For being so close to SeaWorld and the beach you would think the owners would keep up with the maintenance. Huge safety concern when the elevator permit is expired and has a 6 month old temporary permit. Damn thing sounded like the cable was going to snap when you get to the third floor. Avoid this hotel. Spend a little more money on somewhere else
- 1/5
They put us next to the exit door so each time someone went in and out we heard the door slam throughout the night.
- 2/5
Small NOISY room. Old hotel with some updates... Limited breakfast items and poor food quality.
- 5/5
Great service and lovely people
- 1/5
The second room also smelled bad and the shower curtain was missing rings. Even worse, when I tried to use the microwave, I found an old, opened Cup of Noodles—full of water, seasoning mixed in, stinking because it had been left in there for a long time by a previous customer—inside the microwave, meaning that the hotel staff had failed to clean the room properly before I used it. In addition, the time on both the microwave clock and desk clock were set incorrectly, demonstrating the lack of attention paid by staff to these basic supplies and amenities. Finally, the complimentary breakfast is of extremely low quality—I would not feed this to anyone in my family—you would be better off paying money and eating elsewhere. The only positive aspects of my stay were the convenience of the location and ready availability of parking.
- 5/5
We loved our stay. Everything was clean. Staff was always working and very friendly. Helped you with anything you needed. Loved he breakfast. We would recommend rhiz hotel to everyone.
- 4/5
Comfortable beds, good A/C, nice staff, excellent value, relatively quiet (some street noise).

Very clean rooms, nice staff, very recommended
- 2/5
I realize staying in San Diego is not inexpensive, but i dont think this hotel was worth price paid. The swimming pool was extremely misleading to say the least ... it was the size of a goldfish pond! They could change up the hot breakfast foods daily. Real scrambled eggs and sausage links or bacon interchangeably would have been nice rather than beans. a pancake machine would be nice, as well. Rest of the food was acceptable. Free parking was the best perk. I had to have my room key reprogrammed twice, which was an inconvenience. I will never pay ahead and make sure where I am going within cancelation time period. I did read reviews which were good, but ... I will say there was hot running water, clean bedding, and a/c was operational. I did notice the glass on the night stand and tv stand was not clean.
- 3/5
They did replace towels or TP had to go to office to get them. On our last morning we called and they did bring us more than we needed
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
Check in was the quickest I’ve ever had . Staff was very friendly. Overall the room was pretty clean. Only negative thing I’d say is that it was a bit noisy with doors slamming and maintenance being done at 9 pm .
- 5/5
Nice and clean
- 4/5
Worth its money
- 3/5
Room was clean, breakfast satisfactory, pool did not look clean at all and very small but hotel was in very busy area
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable. We had no problems at all here and will definitely be back.
- 4/5
This is a very decent property for the price. The staff could be nicer which would make for a much better experience and higher rating!
- 5/5
Every think is good
- 4/5
For the price, the hotel was fine but if staying here, I would make sure you don't get the room below what must have been a gym as we had thumping on the floor above us until late at night and again early in the morning. Other than that, the hotel was fine. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was quite small and you had to stpe into the bath to take a shower, so not great for people with mobility issues.
- 4/5
Overall, our stay was pleasant. The front desk, breakfast and housekeeping staff were friendly. If you like in-room coffee, grab a few extra from the front at check-in bc they don’t come into the room every day and when they did, they forgot those.
- 1/5
There was a gas leak and I was refused my accommodations after paying for them. Had to drive 4 hours home.
- 5/5
It’s exactly what we needed and expected from the price point.
- 4/5
Used this hotel for a weekend trip. We like its proximity to key locations. Free WiFi. Room has basic essentials: tv, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron, comfortable bed. This hotel serves breakfast. Easy access to the freeway. Open parking lot adjacent to the hotel.
- 5/5
Breakfast was good
- 5/5
Didnt have breakfast. Room was clean
- 5/5
Great value. Very comfortable, quiet, and friendly service even though we came in very late (1 AM).
- 4/5
PROs: Nice staff, Free and easy parking, free breakfast, clean room, beds are comfortable and good price for the 3 night stay. Cons: Curtains were TERRIBLE. There are sheer curtains, and the blackout ones. the blackout ones only go so far, and leave about a 1.5 foot gap. Next door the business has Very bright light on all night. So even with trying to figure out a way to close the curtains, room is bright all night long, literally I woke up multiple times through the night thinking it was morning already, it was sooo bright. It was on bottom floor. one of the other people down the hall was smoking in there room, so on final night at 3:11am the Fire alarm, with flashing light and sirens is going off in multiple rooms for about a minute. Super frustrating. Although there were a lot of nice things about this hotel, I did not sleep well with bright lights all night. I won't be staying here again.
- 3/5
The staff was great. The rooms are roomy but the bathroom/Shower was dirty. I had ants crawling on the wall and I saw a few baby roaches as well. The black out curtains only went half way. The elevator sounded like it wanted to give out but it worked. Breakfast was ok and parking spots are tight.
- 3/5
My stay was ok .There were very limited options for vegetarian breakfast and lift needs to be repaired
- 3/5
Staff was very good at responding to requests. Room plumbing needed work. The shower dripped, the toilet ran all the time, and the sink faucet shot water from the bottom.
- 5/5
Room was very clean, cleaned and restocked daily. Continental breakfast could use more variety, elevator area was loud and walls banged up and dirty. Overall was very nice!
- 2/5
Not trying to complain, I hope it was just our room but it had a very bad urine smell and just over all musty smell (138). We came in late our first night and tried to deal with it to get sleep but there is also a pipe in the wall and you could hear every time water got used upstairs and or next door! We asked to be moved the next morning and could not be accommodated. The room over all seemed clean but if you understand Spanish it's so disheartening to hear housekeeping staff complain about guests. The staff was what made our experience the worst because the night we showed up the guy was so crashed out from being high he couldn't be understood when he woke and was talking. Then he was getting annoyed with me not understanding him because of his horrible cotton mouth and mumbling. He was rude and laughed about me asking why a card was not placed on file for a deposit and hold then payment at time of check out instead of upon check in? The breakfast staff were the only kind ones. The air conditioner worked well and hot water too. The microwave did not or was unplugged and the mini fridge made noise but was cold. Again, I'm not trying to complain due to the price, but we did not have a great experience due to smell, sounds, check in, and house staff. Therw is ample parking. Overall for price, it might've just been our luck.

Good air. Odd breakfast.

My family and I booked this hotel for location and value. Easy to find and right off the highway. You’ll want to go around the block via Figueroa. Check your satellite images to see what I mean. Enter the first driveway right past the dealership. If you pass it, go around again as the next driveway is an exit only and very tight; you’ll get stuck. The neighborhood is ok. Very busy street but the noise from outside is mediocre. The rooms are moderate and come equipped with micro fridges and small microwave. There are coffee makers but I travel with my own; plenty of counter space for it. I asked for extra sheets and blanket and they arrived very quickly. No strange smells. The hallways are kept very cold so be prepared for that. The only reason for the 3 stars and not 4 is we had an ant issue in the bathroom behind the door. They seemed to stay to themselves and not a lot of them. Another issue was the first 2 nights of a 4 night stay the fire alarm activated at exactly 8:23pm. The location was awesome. 7 minute drive to Sea World; 10 minutes to Mission Beach/Belmont; 15 minutes to downtown at The Midway Museum. Rubio’s next door has awesome burritos which we indulged in our first night. Overall, we would stay again.

Clean quiet rooms with a nice bfast area.
- 4/5
A smaller room, but very comfortable. Everybody in the hotel was friendly and helpful. Basic breakfast was OK. A very decent price for staying in Mission Bay, which is a tourist area. I would stay here again. Thank you.
- 5/5
I had an amazing experience since the beginning, my husband and I loved the beds, the smell of the products (Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion and hand soap), everything so comfortable. The only down is the narrow parking lot, but everything else was great!
- 2/5
Rugs are filthy had to keep shoes on. Bathtub runs constantly. Fire alarm went off 2 of 3 nights i stayed. Place has very sketchy creepy feel in hallways no one is ever around. Elevator makes loud frightening thuds and groans. Ill never go back
- 4/5
Room was clean. The property needs some maintenance. There is one very slow elevator. Better markings for stairs.
- 4/5
The room climate wasn’t comfortable

Really good value hotel. Clean and well run. Breakfast was surprisingly good with hot eggs and good coffee. The immediate neighborhood is mostly large car dealers but it's not far from mission bay and PB. The sushi place in the strip mall is supposed to be one of the best restaurants in SD.

We had paid for a three day stay and were excited to stay based upon the information online. We got checked in and settled into our (first room.) When we went to turn on the AC unit, it had ants all over it. We called and got moved to another room near the stairwell, which was fine. This room seemed more modernized and we were satisfied. We went out to dinner and when we got off the elevator, all we could smell was weed and that got stronger the closer we got to our room. This hotel is supposed to be 100% non-smoking, but obviously someone didn't care. Not that big of a deal, but unpleasant. Getting ready for bed 15 minutes later and the fire alarm starts going off. We go to the hall and don't see or smell any smoke. Other guests similarly confused. We call the front desk and are curtly told "false alarm" and hung up on. It was at that point I decided I could not stay here for 2 additional nights and requested a refund for the two unused nights, which was approved by Hotels.com. This was appreciated.

There was an odor to the room, perhaps from the cleaning supplies used.
- 5/5
Place was great. Excellent location and very clean. Breakfast was good too 😎
- 5/5
Very easy to get on the freeway and go wherever you need to
- 5/5
Clean cozy and convenient

Clean room
- 4/5
Room was clean and the hotel itself was very clean
- 5/5
Great option for folks on a budget and with a car! I would 200% stay here again! So many other options were much more expensive, so I was a little nervous about picking this place off hotels.com, but I was so happy with our 3-day visit. So centrally located. Clean rooms. Very nice!!
- 5/5
Can’t wait to visit again
- 5/5
Reasonable price with safety parking and excellent breakfast.
- 3/5
Bed was comfortable but first room had ants. Moved rooms and it was better. Convenient location.
- 3/5
Tried to print on their printer in the lobby, printer ink needed replacement, staff did not want to bother to try to replace the ink catridge. Lack of customer service or any effort to help. The hotel is very dated, back in the 80's but clean
- 5/5
I was satisfied with my stay. Clean room, friendly staff. Highly recommended.
- 5/5
Location near the freeway and Costco. Spacious room, friendly staff. Huge b/fast room with plenty of choices and staff kept the food from running out. Free parking (rare in San Diego) and reasonably priced. Plan to stay here again.
- 5/5
This is my favorite all inclusive hotel in San Diego. A nice tub to soak in, black out curtains (you will barely know it’s day time) great hot breakfast. All staff so sweet helpful and amazing customer service. My favorite little staycation spot. Have yet to get in the pool but it’s fenced in and gets a very nice breeze
- 5/5
Solid hotel, felt clean, comfortable, and safe which is all I really need
- 4/5
Okay. Had ants in room. Hallways had a strange smell byt overall it was good for tbe cheap price.
- 1/5
Very bad customer service. I stayed 4 nights requesting for Room service and no one showed up to clean the room. Went to front office and the girl had Full Attitude. Not great property to stay
- 5/5
The property, while older, is well maintained and has been tastefully upgraded. The staff was very friendly, efficient, and helpful. The gym equipment, while not extensive, was clean and in excellent condition. The breakfast selections were better than at many higher cost hotels and were available in a comfortable and clean dining room. The location near Mission Bay gave me quick access to many parts of town within a 15 minute drive. Overall I was very pleased with the quality and value of this hotel.
- 4/5
Found a bug on the bed first night but after that, everything was great .
- 5/5
Amazing value for money property. We loved our stay at Green Tree Inn. The location was excellent close to Pacific Beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast options were really good and we enjoyed the overall stay in San Diego. Will come back here anytime ☺️
- 5/5
The eggs were tasty! 😀 Thank you for a wonderful stay. See ya, next time.
- 5/5
Good time
- 5/5
Functional, serviceable, and comfortable. Room size is fairly small, but everything I needed for my week long stay. Bed was comfortable, shower was good, and room well maintained. I will use this as my preferred place to stay when I return
- 5/5
Great value for the price! The location was perfect for getting in and out of the 5 freeway. It was exactly what we needed for a convenient and affordable stay and commute to UCSD.
- 5/5
The location and rates were very competitive. I appreciated having a hot breakfast at the price point
- 5/5
It’s perfect place to stay.
- 5/5
Clean room, very comfortable bed.
- 5/5
Great omelets in morning
- 4/5
Pleasant room, friendly staff. Extremely small swimming pool.
- 4/5
The ice machine on the second floor was broken, so we had to go down to the first floor to get ice each day. They don't leave the mini fridge turned on for you. And it's not intuitive how to turn it on. The power is on the outside of the fridge in the back, so you have to pull the fridge out to reach it!
- 4/5
Good location
- 5/5
Great hotel! Not a ton of dining/coffee options that were a walkable distance, but the parking is free and there are two bus lines nearby. Clean, quiet, and super friendly staff. Highly recommend!
- 3/5
Some minor gripes were that our sink only ran warm/hot and the air conditioner intermittently rattled loudly all night. The elevator is a bit sketchy and there's only ice on the 1st floor. That said, the location is convenient, the price is good for what you're getting, and parking is free.
- 5/5
Easy to get to and quiet
- 4/5
We had a nice stay, pretty crowded the night we stayed. Lots of kids, which we don’t mind at all, but, the chaperones could be a bit more watchful
- 4/5
Good clean room
- 5/5
Great property
- 4/5
Road noise
- 3/5
Room clean & comfortable, but found being on first floor very noisy. People out parting in parking lot late at night- very loud. Also door that people use to enter first floor bangs extremely loudly when used.
- 5/5
The manager was good. They did acknowledge a no show and credited
- 5/5
All good
- 3/5
Location is great. Convenient to everything! The room itself was just ok. Beds were hard, bedding was stained, and everything is just very dated. The free breakfast is inedible but the coffee is ok.
- 4/5
Easy to find, lots of free parking. Very friendly staff, and great workout facilities
- 4/5
All staff was super helpful, kind and wonderful. The option to have breakfast was great. And I noticed that the pool was cleaned on the regular basis.
- 4/5
Good place to sleep and eat breakfast
- 4/5
I am a return guest. Everything was great for my needs. Staff could be friendlier, but over all good value for a short 2 night stay.
- 4/5
Very slow WiFi.
- 5/5
Very nice, affordable and convenient
- 5/5
Very friendly staff. Decent breakfast. Nice, clean rooms.
- 5/5
Everything was awesome
- 4/5
I had a nice stay I was here for two nghts with my girlfriend it was nice and quiet the staff were friendly I recommend this stay for anyone visiting san diego.
- 3/5
Breakfast was good, my bed creaked really loud with every move. Had to hold toilet handle down for a few seconds to flush. That bathroom was terrible, couldn't get in and out of bathroom without squeezing next to toilet to open door. No channel listing for TV. Phone in room hand held part didn't work, but speaker on phone worked, why even have the hand held part if it doesn't work.
- 4/5
The rooms had all the necessary amenities like a five star hotel. Although the rooms and bathrooms are rather dated and small it was a good value for the price we paid.
- 5/5
Was a good location
- 4/5
Stay was satisfactory. Not fancy. Old building that has been refurbished. Most good. Breakfast excellent. I would probably stay again. Price $115 very fair
- 4/5
Older hotel with strong mildew smell coming from the carpet. Standard breakfast with limited fresh fruit options. The beds are best part, comfortable bedding and not lumpy.
- 5/5
The staffer was very helpful, my room was very clean,

Overall stay could've been much better. Breakfast was practically the same everyday. Ingredients were cheap, especially the eggs. Bread tasted stale and no waffle/pancake machine. We were on the third floor and the wifi didn't work at all. We complained but nothing was done. We were also kicked off of the wifi 4 hours before check out (not that it worked anyway). Ironing board was broken, we called for a new one and let's just say we're still waiting. Had to switch rooms because there was no cold water, and when we arrived the sheets had stains and there was hair in the pillowcases. Lastly, the pool is the size of a hot tub.
- 4/5
good breakfast
- 4/5
It’s very basic but clean. The bed was ok but not great
- 2/5
Need to upgrade furnitures to a modern style. Need to fix elevator at night, smell terrible the hallway and exit stairs. The ac smells bad, customer service 800 number sucks no one takes the call and they hang up on us.
- 3/5
This hotel is trying hard to be something it’s not. Our stay was okay, but they definitely need some property upgrades. Get rid of the extremely stinky carpet. Stop spackling the tubs and replace them. Fix the toilet so they flush with no problem. Use adult size towels so customers don’t have to keep asking for more towels. Don’t water down the shampoo and conditioner. You want people to come back? Make some investments.
- 1/5
Mold smells in the room, too small bathroom, and footsteps noises from upstairs. The location was convenient to go around and breakfast was decent.
- 5/5
Great location to walk to campland
- 2/5
We like only breakfast even if the same menu everyday
- 5/5
It was a perfect stay! Came for my bach and had so much fun!
- 5/5
Nice room.
- 3/5
Parking is very convenient.
- 3/5
The bed comfort was good. Ask for a bed sheet change
- 3/5
The Staff was the saving grace of this place. The pool was not much larger than a hot tub, the breakfast was sub par at best....baked beans for breakfast...who does that. TV broke, was replaced but maintenance didn't clean up grime under the unit. All that said, it was close to everything and we really spent very little time there. Housekeeping was great and the folks at the counter were always nice.
- 5/5
Parking so small
- 4/5
The highlight of our stay was the staff – very friendly, responsive, and they returned our refundable deposit promptly.
- 4/5
Was average Inn. Wasn't a big fan of the continental breakfast, but was a part of the experience.
- 5/5
I felt like I was at home. For the range of hotel I was looking for, it checked off all the marks. The room appeared clean and kept. I had free parking and complimentary breakfast which I deemed great so I could leave on a full stomach. The servings were a bit different every day, and although a bit random, it met my needs. I would definitely come again.
- 3/5
Staff was very nice.
- 4/5
It was just OK, room was dated but comfy, TV was broken but didnt interfere with the trip.
- 5/5
We have stayed there 2 times just for the 1-2 nights never had a problem but also never tried the breakfast. It's a little noisy but overall we feel safe and its super clean!
- 4/5
The place was clean
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
Really great deal for the price, cleanliness, quiet room, and delicious breakfast! Definitely recommend
- 5/5
Nice hotel, helpful staff, great breakfast, comfortable rooms.
- 4/5
Rooms are small but bed very comfortable. I liked that there was a small fridge and microwave in the room. The hotel is centrally located is close to everything.
- 4/5
Very easy check in, kind staff, clean comfortable beds. Thank you.
- 4/5
Good location and price
- 4/5
Overall the property was nice and clean. The breakfast wasn’t terrible but wasn’t great either. We were comfortable, the rooms were clean and enjoyed our stay
- 3/5
Good location for staying in San Diego. Good value for what you pat for. Did have to ask for a second set of towels twice and then housekeeping took back the second set before we checked out.
- 5/5
Location is excellent! Easy to drive to main attractions. Breakfast was also good, with a variety of food options and fruit.
- 3/5
There was only 1 elevator and frequently there were lines. The food at breakfast was not very good. The location was convenient but we dontplan on going back.
- 3/5
The room was very small. Parking is difficult at night on the weekends. Pro: Great front desk staff. The TV was big. Rubios Tacos was a very short walk away.
- 5/5
As expected. Affordable
