Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott San Diego Pacific Beach

The room service were missing. The used towels were not replaced for my three night stay. No bottle drinking water were provided as other hotels. Customer has to go to frond desk to ask bottle water and then charge customer $3.23 for each bottle. Very bad experience and will not come to this hotel again.

I stayed here on a business trip this time. I have stayed at this hotel several times before. Unfortunately, I was unable to connect to the Wi-Fi at any point during my stay, from check-in to check-out. All guests were affected by this issue on that day. Because I needed Wi-Fi for work, I had to check out early in the morning and go to a café to get online. In my opinion, this issue affects guests far more significantly than the hotel may appreciate. I believe guests should be informed of this issue before their stay. What I found particularly disappointing is that the issue had already occurred at check-in, but I was not informed. Lately, I’ve felt that Marriott’s overall quality has declined compared to other hotel chains. It may be a minor point, but as a Marriott fan, I find this very disappointing.

I enjoyed my stay as the hotel was quiet and staff were very pleasant and friendly. The bathroom however was dirty with hair on the bathroom floor which was disgusting. Overlooking this, I would stay there again.

Convenient location but lacking in the quality we’re accustomed to at Fairfield Inn & Suites. The staff is pleasant. The room had a few bugs in the bathroom. There was also a black stain right outside the shower door. The shower only had body wash and 2 shampoo bottles. No conditioner and the other 3 were filled with what appeared to be the same soap. Breakfast was ok. The eggs were watery and one of the days the carton of milk was curdled. The room is not kept clean and every seating area had old food stuck on it. Disappointed in the upkeep of this location and would not stay here again.

This is our second stay in a Fairfield and we love it. Our room faced the golf course and there was street noise however we slept right through it.

The hotel was nice. We were told that we had to go to a different hotel when we gotten there even though we paid because they booked everything. Went to the next hotel and noticed a whole parking spot filled to the brim with old pee. Went to the room and as soon as we opened the door there was a bug crawling around. After two hours of unpacking we were told we can come back to our hotel we already booked. For compensation though at three in the morning all they did was provide us two drinks. We were very disappointed on how they thought this was expectable.

We booked a king room but when we got there they immidiatly gave us a queen room. I said we did book a king room. She said i made a mistake and booked a queen room. I showed her my reservation that said king on it. She was very snippy and said there are no more king rooms. We pulled up the hotel web sit and the web site said they were advertising king rooms. No resolution even when asked for manager. Bad hotel

The breakfast had plenty of options and it was pretty tasty. My kids enjoyed the waffles and sausage. I had oatmeal and there were plenty of toppings to add to it.

Arrived a bit early (30 min) and asked receptionist if early check-in was possible. Without saying a word, he pointed to 4pm check-in sign and turned away. Less than 5 minutes later, two other groups showed up who they checked in immediately. Not a great start

It was clean and quiet As a vegetarian/vegan and health conscious person, there wasn’t much my family could eat for breakfast. Glad there was oat milk as an option but bagels were plain white, no option for wheat or multigrain and no fruit option.

The room was clean, modern and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and the location was perfect for getting around town. Unfortunately the breakfast was not consistently stocked and was often crowded with people fighting to get to the food.

stayed here one night for a San Diego Seaworld trip… Drove up from Orange County. Very nice hotel seems either very new or newly renovated! The rooms are spacious, beds and bedding are comfortable, big fluffy, absorbent towels, amazing shower, mini fridge and microwave and nice TV! Checked out the fitness room and pool …very nice. I just wish they had a Jacuzzi. Breakfast complementary and very good!

The street leading to the hotel was a refuge of homeless and the area around the hotel didn't feel safe. The breakfast was not good if you are a health-conscious individual. But the room was quiet and comfortable.

The place is convenient for an overnight stay. Suitable if you need a place to sleep that is quick and close to the freeway. While still being clean and has some amenities like a pool as well as complimentary breakfast. The lobby area is nice. The building itself is clean. The staff was excellent, friendly and very attentive, no complaints there. The area around the hotel is less than desirable. Heavy traffic and noisy at night. The pool is also heated by solar so if there is no sun, you have a cold pool. Also, no jacuzzi, I had not caught that when reserving.

Me and my teenage daughter stayed here for spring break and we enjoyed it. The staff were great and the room was very clean. The breakfast was basic but it hit the spot. Plus the hotel is very close to the freeway for easy access. I would highly recommend!

Who will put a non hear-assistant needed visitor into a hear-assisted room, which is next to the elevator! Every 3 to 5 mins, it will have such annoying machinery noise, whole day! While check in, the receptionist did ask which room do i prefer, a 2nd floor or a 3rd floor accessible room. I picked 2nd floor. And that is what i got without any notice. To my opinion, the room is not qualified for use for normal condition person at all!! Totally disappointed. Will not recommend this hotel.

We were there for only two nights but no one came to service our room on Sat so we didn’t have fresh towels or the trash wasn’t taken out. We were traveling with two small children so that was very important to us. The pricing was great and they had a crib for us - we would stay at your hotel again but expect better servicing of our room.

No maid service. Came home late from Celebration of Life and had to go back downstairs to get fresh towels. No postings or info given regarding.

I stayed three nights and my bed was never made. One night they didn’t even come in and clean up the dirty towels and replace them even though I had asked. A little disappointing.

Overall okay stay. There were some peanuts on the floor close to the bed that maybe housekeeping missed. Our remote to the tv was not functioning properly and I was unable to reach the front desk via the hotel phone to ask them about the remote. However, the breakfast buffet was great and free parking is always a plus!

Convenient location off the freeway with short drives to any major tourist location/area. Rooms are clean, comfy and are in good conditions. Hotel provides free breakfast and free parking without paying a hefty price. Definitely would stay here again!

Excellent hotel that's centrally located...just 10-12 minutes to downtown, airport, Sea World etc. Being a newer hotel, everything was modern and the staff was wonderful. No complaints and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Parking garage was nice to enter right through the elevator. The bathroom floor was dirty with so many hairs and the water power was super weak. The most awful thing was that you can hear everything from the hallway - closing the door and talking, yelling, crying babies. Also the suiteroom that we were in, we could hear banging sound and walking like a bump from the upstairs - that was REALLY LOUD. I woke up around 5am just because of that footstep sound. Just for a night stay is fine but definitely will not come back again.

I had a horrible stay. They stuck me practically in the elevator shaft. When I asked the front desk for a new room they told me there was nothing they could do about it even tho I was willing to spend more money. Waste of money, I wish I could be refunded.

It was an amazing day. I love the pool love the nice and clean love to go back again friend customer service. I really appreciate it. I really highly recommend.

Great property. The only minus expensive EV charging cost

The photos of the property on Expedia looked nothing like the hotel. The location was bad, lobby was drab and unwelcoming as was the entrance to the hotel. We wanted and paid for a king bed room but were given two queen beds. They said they didn’t have any king rooms, but that is what we selected from Expedia. Very cheap with the poor quality towels, we had to ask for more. One small bar of soap for 2 people. We asked for more. Front desk staff argued with my husband about room cleaning. We asked to have room cleaned every day, but after we arrived to our room after a day out sightseeing, the room wasn’t cleaned. We did have free parking, breakfast was okay and beds were okay. We don’t appreciate the false advertising on Expedia. Area of hotel was not what we expected. Did not feel safe walking around. The people who rated this hotel as Very Good on Expedia must be used to very bad hotels.

The entire experience from check-in to check-out was smooth, quick, and easy. The service was great as well and the rooms were really nice and clean. I highly recommend staying here as it is close to a lot of great places. Would definitely stay here again!

We enjoy staying at Fairfield. The room was spacious. Having a separate living area from the bed area is great. It's our 2nd time to stay at Fairfield hotel, and I would continue to stay with this company due to the space.

Nice place to stay for Seaworld or surrounding attractions. Quiet and clean. Pool is very tiny. Breakfast basic but good. Parking is a challenge with tight small tight spaces and I would not feel safe with my vehicle outside the designated lot. Staff friendly and helpful.

The staff are amazing, and the room is clean and comfortable. The breakfast is an added bonus! We had stayed at different hotels in the area while visiting our daughter, and by far this is the best hotel. I would like to mention that Lizzie is so great by accommodating my request for an extra parking permit for a day as I had stayed over to help my daughter who just had a baby and drove her car to the hotel the next day (to rest). We will definitely stay again in the next few weeks.

This hotel is a solid stay. The location is great as it in proximity to a major highway that takes you just about everywhere you need to go in San Diego. The hotel provides everything I pretty much expected and ran into 0 issues with the stay. Staff was all very nice. The breakfast was pretty good.

We got to the hotel roughly around 11 PM and the receptionist informed us that their systems were down and they could not check us into a room. FYI, I am pregnant and I was exhausted from travel. She informed us that the manager is not on site and not answering her phone calls. The whole thing felt so unprofessional. She eventually put us in a room, which I believe was the only room on the first floor right next to the laundry room, ice machine, and elevators on the busiest side of the street. It was so loud and we could hear people talking in the lobby. Unacceptable we walked back up and said we needed a better room. We waited and waited until she offered us another room worse than the one we booked, which I declined. Eventually, around midnight, Her computer seem to start working and she put us into a room on the third floor, which at least was quieter. Check-in should not take an hour, and it was ridiculous to seemingly have one person on staff with no on-site manager. I will not be returning.

I like how it was convenient to where the event I was attending but was disappointed when we checked in late in the evening to find our room to smell like mold/mildew. I thought it was due to not having the AC on the whole day but the smell remained in the air. I am grateful that they were able to move me into a new room later.

Very clean and comfortable. Close to the ocean and other major attractions. Breakfast was probably a 3 out of 10, but it’s free, but I wouldn’t let that deter you.
