    This was the worst place to stay - dirty room with missing amenities (including a microwave or coffee pot) and HUGE dumpster outside the room full of rotting trash. There were bugs in the room and it smelled of mold. When we went to the lobby to complain, I was met by the rudest staff who explained to me that none of this was her problem. I try not to complain- but honestly, RUN.

    Arrived a little after hours (around 11pm) front office was locked, took 20 minutes for the employee to come unlock the door for check-in. I paid for the room during booking weeks in advance, but was told i had to pay again even after showing her the receipt that showed I paid. Room was nasty, stained towels, sheet and bugs crawling around. Doesn’t even provide shampoo or body wash. Then I had someone beating on the door repeatedly right at 11am telling us we had to check out, I explained we were just finishing up packing and we’d be out in 5 minutes, but yet continued to stand at the door and wait for us to leave. Pick any other hotel/ motel than this one!

    The check in process was extremely slow no apology given for the delay, shower head in bathroom needed to be threaded water was spraying from the top hitting the ceiling, tv remote volume did not work, and no breakfast served. you cannot get in to check out until 7 am

    All of the staff are amazing, very helpful. The cleanliness of the rooms however, not the best. My bathroom counter still had hair and dirt in the corners from where someone before me had shaved. The refrigerator had "gunk" down the side, and the toaster I was given wasn't as "sanitized' as it probably should have been. It's obvious the cleaning staff is overwhelmed, but it's nothing a little elbow grease and cleaning supplies can't handle.

    I waited about 30 minutes to check in with no one ahead of me. When arrived to my room it was dirty and had not been cleaned from previous stay. Shampoo was given at front desk and when I asked for some the girl was lost since she did not understand English well. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

    The rooms didn't live up tit he photos. Everything was run down, and the room was dirty. The staff was ill trained, didn't know what they were doing and kept having to go to the manager for help. Then I was overcharged by $489. It took me two hours of phone calls, being transferred all over, to rectify the situation. I'll never stay here again.

    The hotel stay was awful. Overfilled trash piled up by the stairwells, cracks on the leather couch, rust on the towel racks, mold on the ceiling above the shower, and random marks on the dining chairs. The room did not seem to be cleaned well so we felt very uncomfortable sleeping there.

    I booked the room and left within 30 minutes. I booked another hotel. Prostitution was taking place in the vehicle parked 2 cars down from me. There was high traffic and half dressed people going in and out. A man was standing by his vehicle and watching me. I go in the room to use the restroom and I go out and the same man is there. I go in the room and come back out of another time, the same occurrence happened. It’s just that he was in a different spot. I wasn’t really sure what was going on, but the activity by my room was concerning. I was unaware of what the white box was above the door on the inside of the bedroom that also made me uncomfortable. I tried to Google what the device was. Since I’ve never seen anything like that in the history of me staying in hotels I thought it would just be wise and safer for me to just leave.

    one of the worst experience we had. toilet seat broken , only 3 very skinny pillows and when asked for another was told none available. my asked if she could use the rest room at office while we were checking in and gentleman looked at her for about 15 seconds and replied no sheet not fit the bed constantly come off all night. mattress was terrible and one side of the bed literally sinks in . microwave full of crumbs and filthy also no shampoo. and no blow dryer. very disappointed and will send this complaint to company this hotel should not be rated over 1

    When I reached out to the front desk, only a limited number of items were provided — specifically, two plates, two bowls, two mugs, one cup, one knife, one plastic fork, one pan, and one pot — which was inadequate for a reservation intended for four guests. As a result, I had to purchase additional items in order to cook and dine during my stay. I wanted to bring this to your attention so future guests can have a more comfortable experience.     We waited and called customer service and waited outside and NO response and no accountability during that night around 11pm with my family. Complementary breakfast is a cheat because they have 2 flasks of coffee, hot water and 10 muffins. Nothing else. No direction for internet , no one shared the information, we used our own data. Outside lots of people and smoking with lots of weed smell. It’s overall horrible experience. The manager who showed up next day 11am but he didn’t take our concerns or complaints very well.

    Our stay was disappointing. The room was not clean upon arrival, and the bathroom fan didn’t work, which made it uncomfortable. Several of the metal fixtures and racks were rusty, adding to the sense of neglect. Additionally, the $15/day parking fee felt unnecessary and unreasonable given the hotel’s location—it’s not in a downtown or resort area where parking is typically limited or difficult to find.

    The breakfast had coffee, packages of muffins and nutrigrain bars, and oatmeal packs. One morning there was a hair hanging from the coffee dispenser. When I told the desk clerk their response was "oh, yeah". One night a car pull into the lot and had booming music that went on for about 15 minutes at 1 AM. The next night the room on the other side from ours seemed to have water running for a couple hours and some kind of banging noises started around 4 AM and continued until about 7:30 AM.

    The room was not cleaned properly the trash wasn’t emptied from previous person had beer cans and used toilet paper in trash can. The room has BLACK MOLD in shower area, bathroom door, and around windows. There was a strong urine smell. The area didn’t feel safe. Front desk person was acting super strange. I would have given this a 0 but it wouldn’t allow me. Don’t waste your money!

    When I arrived they said someone had extended and my King bed sofa sleeper room was sold out. After about 30 min they found me a room. The room smelled strongly of smoke even though it was supposed to be a nonsmoking room. We ran the fans and aired it out all night. With my smoke sensitivity I couldn’t sleep. When we asked for sheets and blankets for the sofa sleeper we were told to come back and they would check after they did laundry. Both the king bed and sofa sleeper were not comfortable. The sides of the king bed were not sturdy and it felt like you would fall out all night. We had to put pillows on the sides of the beds to feel steady. The sofa sleeper was so worn you could feel the springs which were very uncomfortable for my grandkids. As an extended stay you expect dishes, coffee maker etc. none of these were in the room. I was told I could check them out but still had to purchase my own coffee etc. We had to ask for hand soap as there were no amenities in the room. Laundry was $4.50 for one load of wash and $4.50 for one load to dry. They had no soap for purchase in the office. The ice machine was broken. This is the worst extended stay I have ever been to. Central location, air conditioner worked well but was very noisy. I will never stay here again.

    Well I got it mainly for the kitchen which was functional Little cramped got a king bed with pull out bed and of course we had a rollaway It saved money having the kitchen was great everything was clean they do have a if you want new towels and not new blankets and sheets trade policy for sure if you're looking for breakfast nope not the place not unless you plan on cooking your own they offer some roadside convenience store coffee and some muffins very small muffins and some fruit bars but that's all breakfast goes but it's not a little bad spot there is walking distance to shops grocery stores coffee food everything you need You can walk walk back is a little more tougher cuz it's uphill but it's nice it's not bad for sure

    The room was cleaner than other places I’ve stayed at in San Diego. However the flow rate of water coming out of the faucet and shower wasn’t that great. It was way too weak. And the place didn’t have great soaps or there wasn’t any shampoos available. However, the place was much safer and a lot better than other places I’ve stayed at. And I’m glad it was close to several shopping centers in Mission Valley. I do wish they had more breakfast choices available too.

    I regretted booking here - I did not need a kitchen, which I think is the main selling point for the room. But I expected at least a coffee pot to have coffee in my room. Also no remote for the TV - you had to go to the desk to ask for it. And there was no toilet paper. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable, and the location was quiet and nice for walks.

    My room was very dirty. There was old food on the stove top, 3 of the bath towels looked dirty and have someone else's hair on them. The tub faucet was dripping all night and the room had stains on the walls. I felts very unsafe after the sun went down and I was concerned about the safety of my car.     Room is old and worn out. Finish is pealing off of cabinets. No tv remote control in the room, had to go to the front desk to get one. Walls are very thin could hear other guests all night long. Bathtub drain did not work even after the desk said maintenance would fix it. Hot water never got more than warm. Spill on the sidewalk outside was never cleaned up inthe four days I was there probably still there now.

    This property was so unfriendly and about the lowest quality. I’ve ever stayed at other than motel six. The client was noisy. The manager walked in on me while I was watching TV and reading my email, thinking the room was vacant after he had just checked me in. The room upstairs had either very hyper active children, or somebody on meth, because they were stomping for two hours before I got dressed and asked for another room. Noisy people staying there. I do not recommend.

    once I got there, the hotel was closed down, no one in the office with a sign saying they’re closed at 10 PM?!! After contacting the hotel property management over the phone someone showed up an hour later with an attitude “ like I woke them up from their precious sleep” and checked me in to a dirty room and guess what, the room is right next to a room that they’re doing remodeling work on, so drills and hammers started at 7 am, so I didn’t even get a 3 hrs of rest. So nothing was actually decent about the experience there.

    So many issues: bathroom door didn’t shut, tp holder fell out of the wall, fruit flies, musty smell, dirty floor, all around dingy had to pay to park when there’s nothing around, breakfast is coffee and instant oatmeal or packaged muffins, walls thin: dog barking in room behind us, women yelling at each other in the parking lot in the morning (police called), no dishes in kitchen—had to go to lobby and get them, trash in piles around the property. Do NOT recommend.

    I liked the front desk staff, they were so polite and helpful. The rooms were not cleaned. There was no soap in the room, and there was a half gallon of milk still in the refrigerator. The hall ways smelled like someone urinated and was smoking cigarettes.

    The hotel has multiple issues: it's outdated, smells of cigarettes, lacks a landline phone, has a nonfunctional microwave, and no ice machine. We experienced a 20-minute wait upon arrival with no attendant at the front desk. The breakfast options were limited to muffins, granola bars, and oatmeal, with no coffee or hot water available in the dispenser. Upon revisiting the front desk to resolve a key issue, the attendant on her personal phone, neglected to acknowledge me and seemed startled by my polite request for assistance.

    There's two items that are inexcusable otherwise this would have been a 4 star review. 1. The entire wooden vanity was delaminating (wood splintering on all the panels). There's NO excuse for renting out the unit in that condition - they are not doing inspections or they don't care!. 2. Rust was eating away on the bathroom door frames and caulking around the tub shrunk or missing. 3. The parking lot was excessively cracked and loose gravel all over. Spend some money on property maintenance Extended Stay!

    The air conditioner was so loud, the bathroom was filthy spider webs not able to take a bath as there was no drain stopper, bed was squeaky, ants in bed, mold mold mold in bathroom, refrigerator was not working microwave was so old and rusty, bad customer service, no iron, no hair dryer, no coffee maker they said they had paper bag breakfast they had no coffee tiny muffins only and overall the entire property outside was filthy I would not recommend any one to stay here I paid over $200. to not sleep itchy all night due to the ants and the filth.

    I am really disappointed. First of all there is no staff on duty. We came late and there was a night guard only who did not speak english. Also at check out, there were 3 couples waiting but no staff. We waited 10 minutes and then left before we could check out. Hotel is very old and it has not been maintained. Room was very very bad. There were bugs in the sink and spider in the ceiling. The bed was the worst, it made so much noise and terribly uncomfortable. Probably the worst bed I have slept in the last 10 years. I will send a message to the hotel management to ask for a refund seriously.

    Check in was awful - I waited for 15 minutes at the front desk because the one person working there decided to run out to a store just before 5:00pm and leave the lobby unattended. Then once I got into my room and unpacked, I tried to use the TV, but none of the channels worked. I tried calling the front desk from the room while I ate my (now cold) takeout dinner and the line just rang and rang for about 15 minutes while I ate. I walked down the the lobby and when I told them about the TV, she said she remembered there being a problem with it, but hoped it had been resolved. Then she asked if I called some other company that provided the TV service, which I had no way of knowing about, nor did I think that was a guest's responsibility. I went back to the room and started to call the number provided, but the hotel was going to charge $1 to my room to make the toll-free call. I went back to the desk and they transferred me to another room where the TV did work, although the room smelled, had a bunch of little gnat-like flies, and the security latch on the door was busted off. I suffered through the night to find out in the morning that they don't stock shampoo in the rooms - you have to ask for it at the front desk (this would not have been a problem if they mentioned it at either of my "check-ins"). My last stop was the "breakfast" at checkout where I found room temperature coffee and one single pre-packaged muffin remaining at 7:05am. Needless to say, I won't be back.

    We arrived late in the evening, door was locked. One person on duty was tending to a room need. We waited about 10 minutes. There was no sign on the door. The phone outside didn't answer. They DID accommodate my request for a 1st floor room. "Continental Breakfast" was packaged granola bars and muffins. Don't need to visit this one again.

    Okay the manager at this hotel was accused of stealing $800 out of the guest room in Idaho in the year 2015 I don't care what you say he should not be a manager they're very discriminatory here watch how your room looks okay cuz I put you in the room that's filthy and they don't even care right Paula she is one of the rudest people you will ever get and she's real real racist don't get messed up and there's another one she just receipts so I don't know what to say this hotel is dangerous to people because the manager used to be a thief and I don't know what you call that but that's dangerous and he doesn't he does not care about his employees treat people okay as far as I'm concerned I had to call the police on him so you know what it is but be careful what this hotel

    Water continually streamed from the tub faucet no matter what I tried to do to stop it. It was run down and the floors were dirty. Lots of smoke odor around even though there is a designated smoking area and it was really loud. The staff did not seem to care about the water running when I reported it. There was not an option to move to another room as SD was super busy with conventions.

    Trash under bed, cup of water full of cigarette butts in the corner near the window and a smell that an open window couldn’t fix. Poor location (though I knew booking an in land hotel would be cheaper) but damn this hotel was NOT worth $160 a night. Spend another $40 and stay somewhere clean and with staff that don’t look like they hate their life.

    The amenities listed on the site were not in our room. I booked specifically because it was an air conditioned room which is was, however it did NOT cool the room at all. I had to buy fans at a nearby Costco. When I mentioned it to the front desk I was told they would make it right by discounting my stay which never happened. Lesson learned will not be booking at any Extended Stay in the future which is unfortunate because the location is so close to my family member which I visit quite often.

    TERRIBLE, Worst Extended Stay EVER. Took a trip from LA with my wife and identical twin brother to see Padres play for our 50th birthday. TERRIBLE CHOICE, picking this Dump. Nasty gnats and bugs flying all around the room, couldn't make love on my birthday night because sleeping in our clothes was the only way to catch a nap. I really want a REFUND. PAY THE GASLAMP PRICES, THIS Extended stay will disappoint if your standards are above a 4 on a scale where 10 is best.

    The room door did not lock and the room smelled of old dirty carpet. Strange thing is the floor was vinyl 🤔. I was mov3d to another room with a door that locked, but smelled the same ans this time the tv did not work. 3rd room was a charm, same smell, but the door locked and the tv worked. Very run down and old rooms. Staff was very helpful and nice, but hotel definitely needs some upgrades. Not work the $$ I paid.

    I was truly displeased at the number of flys and gnats soaring around in the room. It was very annoying. I felt as if I was on an indoors version of Naked & Afraid suffering with insects flying in my face all night. I thought they could be coming in from the outside vent while the A/C was on; so I turned it off and dealt with the heat. It didn't help. I barely slept and couldn't wait to get out of the room the next day.

    The mattress needed to be replaced about 10 years ago. It was soft, lumpy and I swear I could feel every spring. The hotel is close to a major road and the traffic noise is very noticeable.

    The first room I was given had a broken door handle and it was extremely unsafe. I immediately went to the office to switch to a different room. The other room had a shower head that didn’t work and all the furnishings are in poor shape.

    This property is nice, equipped with kitchen and ask them for vessels. We are traveling with aged people and asked for downstairs room and they said nothing available, we were sad because they can't take stairs and they don't have elevators. Breakfast options are standard, we are fine with that. Parking is not free, so make sure you have to pay 5$ per night.

    Our room had bedbugs. The manager was supposed to contact me, but never did. I purchased a one-day faster internet service, but it was still bad and dropped me from a meeting. Paper-thin walls, you can easily hear the neighbor's normal conversation. Place is old, same counters from the 80s/90s. I've been to many Extended Stay America's because all of them were great. This Extended Stay America "suites" San Diego America does not only fail to meet customer satisfaction, but it fails the Extended Stay America Suites standards as a company.

    I was a little nervous that other reviewers had stated that the rooms weren't very clean. However, we found that they were clean and as expected. The take-and-go breakfast was a nice bonus as well (coffee, hot chocolate, tea, assorted granola bars, assorted instant oatmeal, and blueberry/chocolate muffins). Would definitely stay here again!

    The breakfast they serve is nothing like the photos. It was a few muffins, some instant oatmeal packets, and coffee. Very disappointing. Also the sink in our kitchen was leaking and no one came to fix it after we reported it twice. They were out of laundry soap so we had to go to the grocery store to buy some. Staff was nice.

    There were ants in the room. The maintenance staff sprayed, but it did not solve the problem. The room was not the cleanest and the guest before us left a note on the bathroom mirror (only visible with the steam from the shower) warning the next guest "Beware the Ants in the room". This just goes to show that the cleaning staff did not clean the bathroom very well.
