Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating the cleanliness of rooms and bathrooms, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. However, there are consistent complaints about the additional $20 parking fee, lack of breakfast, and issues with maintenance and security.
- Clean rooms and bathrooms
- Comfortable beds
- Additional $20 parking fee
- Lack of breakfast
- 5/5
More than 1 washer and dryer and able to multiple loads at once. Facility was nice and well kept and room was also neat with microwave and mini fridge.
- 3/5
Appreciated the clean fabric of the chairs & bedding. Housekeeping staff were commendable--thorough cleaning & cooperative.
- 5/5
Great room & breakfast highly recommend
- 3/5
Furthermore, the room showed noticeable wear and tear. The bathtub finish was chipping away, and the walls had visible gouges. While the bed itself was comfortable, it was difficult to rest due to the room's conditions and heavy freeway noise, which required us to buy earplugs to sleep. We also felt uneasy regarding safety and property conditions. The parking lot stalls were exceptionally tight, and the constant presence of security guards—combined with individuals smoking in the stairwells—created an uncomfortable atmosphere for a family. For the rate charged, we expected a well-maintained, odor-free room. Moving forward, we will not stay at this hotel again!
- 1/5
I booked a room with two queen beds for my family and they gave me one king bed. They gave me the choice of a refund to go look somewhere else or blankets and pillows and we had no choice but to stay there because it was too late to go look for another hotel since we were out the for a soccer tournament! 😡😡😡😡
- 5/5
Ashley was awesome! She immediately made us feel welcomed. She was also very knowledgeable about local attractions, she was very helpful.
- 5/5
Everything about the place was fantastic. I am only bummed that I never got to use the hot tub. I am Autistic so it is difficult to relax in large crowds, hot tub was always busy with children (yikes), but it'sso difficult. Not the hotels fault, loved my room and the location. It was just Memorial weekend and we'll obviously more busy. You try your best to get time off without it costing you too much. Anyways, loved the hotel, it was a great sensory room.😊🖖
- 4/5
The only thing was no ice available during my trip, that the reason I didn’t give excellent.
- 3/5
The front desk staff was really nice and helpful Great location of the hotel, but facilities looked better than they actual were
- 2/5
Disappointing
- 4/5
Great location for this Days Inn on Mission Circle. Very comfortable bed and modern bathroom. You can walk to stores and eateries. Breakfast was mostly waffles, carbs.

Please disclose all the fees the hotel charges. I was surprised with $20 day for parking. Ice machines not working. No restaurant which is on advertisement. Countertops had rust stains. Tub stopper was gross.
- 1/5
"Extremely disappointed. The property is old, unkept, and smells terrible. The only reason for the high ratings is the pool --misleading ; otherwise, there’s nothing here—no breakfast and a hidden parking charge. I usually trust the Wyndham brand, but this location was a major letdown." stay away
- 5/5
clean room plenty of parking convinient location
- 3/5
Bed was uncomfortable, room smelled weird, easy online checkout
- 2/5
The bathtub had a bug crawling around in it. There was hair in the sink and on the floor. The hot tub was broken. They charged $20 a night for parking. I went back and looked at the listing on hotels.com and it was never mentioned that they charged for parking. They put 2 different $100 holds on my credit card for one room. The line to check in was very long. Rooms were old and outdated. Probably would not stay here again.
- 4/5
Great stay in this hotel. Staff was friendly. Had a good night sleep in a clean (bath)room. Room was remodeled and looked, feeled good. Nothing to complain about. Short drive to Seaworld. This hotel is just before a traffic light so a little but funky to get to get to the hotel and up the parking lot. Plenty of spaces but maybe a little bit thight.
- 5/5
Room and grounds were very clean. Convenient location right off the freeway. Only draw back was that both the ice machine and water dispenser were both out of order but the staff were nice enough to let us use the water dispenser in their break room. Would stay there again.
- 4/5
Super clean despite and older facility
- 5/5
The staff was very nice. Recently remodeled I could tell and it was lovely. Rooms are spacious and clean and the a/c works wonderfully. Parking is a little rough. Never hard to find a spot but it’s definitely a little tight to drive through/park in.
- 3.5/5
I didn’t receive my deposit back
- 2/5
Stop calling this a hotel. It’s a motel. With terrible parking that costs you 20$ a day extra. I will say the maid staff was great. But this property is the biggest flop I’ve ever booked.

the place was just okay — the Air Conditioner is very old & has that “old smell” to it. Could’ve been cleaner. There was an incident where the San Diego Police Department was called. About 15 cop cars were there & we were not notified regarding this. If you have kids please be aware. Also — $20 a night for parking.. wasn’t good, just okay.

The bed was comfortable and they cleaned the rooms daily which was super nice , the hot tub was clean and very hot so it made for a great stay . Great area close to everything The pool was super cloudy and not very clean and our room smelled a little before it was cleaned on the 2nd day

Clean, safe, and great location Was surprised by the parking fee which’s 20 a night.
- 4/5
The staff was helpful & efficient, the room clean.
- 3/5
busy tight parking
- 3/5
My room was very clean. I like the smell of it. The beds were super comfortable. The parking was outrageous they charge and just sometimes there’s no parking at all. The parking some of them were too small for some cars. That hotel is kind of big, overcrowded. My room was on the third floor. I didn’t like that. I hate going up and down elevators. It’s a hassle.
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 5/5
The staff were friendly. They gave me an early check in and a late check out. The location is central and close to many areas.
- 5/5
Comforter option in the room
- 3/5
First of all the rooms are extremely humid so if you have any expensive leather, I wouldn’t put it in the room or electronics. We had to keep those in the car. The humidity would’ve ruined our things. The location was a bit dicey as well. I would’ve stayed on hotel Circle N. Not Hotel Circle S. The staff were pretty nice.

Clean property. Very close to freeway and Fashion Valley mall. Did not like the fact that they squeeze you for an extra $20 per day just to park your car. I would have not stayed here had I known that.
- 1/5
Very old place and stinks in rooms, doors all crooked and gaps around doors
- 5/5
My recent stay here was amazing! Staff is incredible and the facilities were clean. Received daily maid service. The hotel is not a luxury hotel (and pricing reflects that), but the staff behaves as though you are a VIP—to everyone. Parking is $20/night but so worth it because of extra security. I asked if I had trouble finding a spot what I should do. They explained one of the guards would help me. Never needed assistance finding a spot and was often parked right in front of my room. Despite the busy hotel with families, it was a quiet space. It is next to a highway, but do your research and pay premiums for hotels not near a highway, if highway noise is a problem for you. It was never intrusive to me even while sitting outside. The water in the shower was actually hot. The pool is clean and heated. The hot tub was awesome! There are several beautiful outdoor areas and 24 hour security patrols the parking lot. I had trouble sleeping (not the hotel’s fault—I just don’t sleep well) and I felt completely safe sitting in those well lit areas to wind down at 2 am. At one point a security officer asked if I was okay to check in on me. There were a few unhoused people but they were not dangerous and did not stay very long, I don’t know if security quietly sent them on their way. It is San Diego, there is a large unhoused population and complete control on any property would be difficult. A vent above the kitchen stove would be helpful. Other than that an amazing stay. Thank you!
- 5/5
The staff was exceptional and very helpful everything was perfect for an older building it is worth the money nothing but peace and quiet will definitely stay again when I go back to San Diego in 4 months for my daughter's wedding see you soon
- 3/5
Older rooms but good price.
- 5/5
Great little place to stay. We went to sea world from Orange County and I didn’t want to drive back at night so we stayed just for the night. Room is just what you would expect. The highlight was the heated pool. San Diego is always cold at night so it was perfect for the kids.
- 5/5
Zero complaints, the room was nice and clean, room service was on point, great job
- 3/5
Not bad
- 4/5
My door was broken in my restroom so I couldn’t close my door.
- 4/5
Place is good but the walls are super thin, I heard the upstairs and next door
- 5/5
Clean and centrally located to the interstate.
- 5/5
Parking was easy. Bath and Body products were full size pumps not the little tiny ones. Water pressure in the shower was good. Bed was comfy. Pillows are decent. Everything was very clean, 10/10 would use again! Way better than I expected for the value.
- 4/5
Staff was very kind. Room was very clean, not too noisy either despite being close to the freeway. People book an economy Days Inn thinking they’re getting the Ritz Carlton and then leave reviews as such. It has more than everything expected for the price. We didn’t park a car but know that it is $20/night for parking on the property with no street parking or public parking within walking distance. Hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the trolley stop which gets you well into downtown and other areas.
- 2/5
Parking was terrible, if you’re late around 11 pm high chance you gonna spend 15-20 mins to find a spot after paying parking prices in advanced. There is some typical smell in rooms. We had hard time to find our booking at property even after sharing confirmation number. I would not select this for my next visit to San Diego.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice, especially Alex. Definitely coming back!
- 4/5
The room was ok, it had a microwave that we did use. The pool was in the back next to a dirt hill and bushes.
- 5/5
Swimming pool
- 1/5
No parking for crap Shower tub had a hole in it. Thought it was gonna fall through the floor. Pool was disgusting looking.
- 5/5
Everything was great and I really enjoyed my stay. The room was spacious and very clean. The only downside was the parking, I had to pay for parking $20/day which wasnt included in the booking fee. Maybe I misread but I dont recall it stating there was a fee for parking
- 4/5
This place is pretty centralized to most tourist spots in San Diego. Unfortunately that means traffic is a congested during peak hours. The parking is okay. There is one way in and out, so make sure you park your vehicle for easy exit. No free breakfast, only free coffee/tea, but there is a "living room" where snacks can be purchased. The noise level in the room is pretty high...sounds from the other rooms, footsteps above, conversations, and exterior people noise. The staff was pleasant and they were able to accommodate our request to have our 3 rooms in the same bldg. There are 3 levels for each building and an elevator in each one. The elevator is tiny, maybe 4 people with no luggage. We were in SD for a quick weekend event. The property is on the older side, but it fit our needs- a bed and a shower and nothing else. The best thing-they had multiple large ice machines! Cheers!
- 4/5
Bed were comfortable and serviced every day. New towels were given every day. And trash was always taken.
- 4/5
Minor room issue was handled. Overall pleasant stay
- 3/5
Room smelt really musty, even with the AC on.
- 5/5
It was a stay I will never forget. Thank you
- 5/5
I loved the location. The service was great! I loved it! I had no issues but the hotel should check the cars that stayed there over night because there was one night of my stay that there was no parking for my car
- 2/5
also we found 3 roaches in the room. couldn't sleep for 2 days.

- 1/5
Not a clean room. Horrible cleaning staff. Dirty. Hot tub gross.
- 2/5
Bad parking. Not clean. Door not sealed.
- 3/5
Room was clean but dated. Beds are older and carpet was definitely worn in some places. We stayed on the third floor and more towards the back side of the property but could still hear traffic noises from Freeway 8. Staff was friendly
- 3/5
The hotel is clean, bed sheets towels. The shower felt like it was going to fall thru the floor. You can hear upper floor people walking and creaking noises. It was creaking alot. Again clean room but not really updated.. the pool area was decent. Heated pool too. If you just want a decent stay. Then it's fine.

We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very friendly and super helpful. My husband had a nose bleed and they made sure to bring us new sheets right away. Our kids really enjoyed their pool and hot tub.
- 1/5
Let me start out by saying that the staff was wonderful! However, nothing else was. After we checked in and went to our room, the first thing I noticed was the most horrific chemical smell overpowering the entire room. It’s as if it was intended to cover up an old, stale, almost moldy odor. I immediately felt it in my lungs and started coughing (I have a lung disease). My sister’s eyes immediately began watering and turning red. Since it was past the cutoff to cancel, I assumed I would be out the money, but I also knew I couldn’t stay in that room for health reasons. I went and spoke to the desk clerk and told her about the room situation and she immediately agreed to cancel the reservation without any penalty, and fully refund my money. So I give the staff a 10 out of 10, but I would recommend that the rooms be truly cleaned and not chemically saturated to cover up the way the rooms smell underneath it.
- 4/5
Found the property and room very clean.
- 3/5
The staff were friendly and the cleaning crew we’re fine, but the hotel is extremely rundown and in need of updates. I don’t mean paint or carpet cleaning but new vanities, new doors, the carpet is dark so hard to tell if it is filthy or not.
- 2/5
Very aged building, everything is outdated, room has a bit moldy smell. Equipment is not well maintained as well. If you just need a place to stay then that is fine.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was friendly. For the price this place was a gem! My co-workers stayed down the road and paid $50 more per night and it smelled like smoke and had water damage. Long shory short, i highly recommend this place
- 5/5
Great for the price. Room was clean. Loved the small cafe/kitchen type eating place down where we could enjoy our breakfast and dinners especially with little kids rather than eating in the rooms. Great location and good value for money.
- 4/5
My flight got cancelled late at night and booked a room last minute. The lady was very welcoming and accommodating at the front desk. She even gave us a very close room for easy check in and check out.
- 5/5
Overall a good hotel. Gets busy after dark parking can get tricky. Good staff. Right next to 8 freeway and busy main street, so there can be alot of vehicle noise. Close to food and stores.
- 2/5
A/c was loud and as were the bathroom fans. It simply needs a complete renewal.
- 5/5
Really easy and great. Had an event across the freeway and it was very easy to get around. Room was nice. Bed was great
- 5/5
Perfect location peaceful nights rest.
- 3/5
Property was really clean One of the staff was rude not helpful but the other ones were really nice. There was construction going on very early. Woke us up when we try to change rooms. She wasn’t helpful right away.
- 5/5
Great for families, safe and clean rooms.
- 4/5
Staff was super accommodating trying to get our 4 rooms as close together as possible. Rooms were perfectly fine - second night we left the window cracked and account low and that was perfect for noise/stuffiness in room.
- 3/5
I appreciated the microwave and refrigerator in the room. The bed was comfortable. However the parking was challenging if you returned to the property after 9pm. It was noisy at night and i could hear the people walking back and forth in the room above me as well as them showering and running water.
- 3/5
I was only at this hotel for one night because I needed a place to sleep and it was much cheaper than other hotels. Parking was $20/night and was absolutely full. Not good. Seems like it was shared with two other properties. The room was fine; spacious but smelled of ammonia. Hoping that was just from an ammonia-based cleaner.
- 4/5
New concept of paying for refrigerated items with charge card before even knowing the cost. :0
- 3/5
Staff was great. Had to switch rooms because the first one reeked of pee. Second one smelt old but better than pee. The outside area also smells of pee
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
The only real compliant I have is the fact that on the vending machines there is no price for what you’re buying. And you don’t know until your card is charged a ridiculous amount. I bought a 20oz bottle of water for $6. The next day I went to the store and purchased 2 - 32 ounces and a 16oz ocean spray cranberry juice for $5. Talk about paying for convenience 😂. They got me, but I can guarantee it won’t happen again
- 5/5
Didn’t use the hot tub
- 5/5
Great 👍
- 4/5
Overall stay was good. When requesting towels they took a little longer than expected and I will see some staff just chillin in the room. On my last day staying at the hotel, there were some young people smoking when I was on the non smoking area. I will suggest to have security check and ensure people are not smoking in the area they shouldn’t especially since I was traveling with little kids. Other than that I like the hotel easy to go around San Diego downtown etc
- 4/5
The room is a little out-dated but is clean. Amenities are ok.
- 5/5
Stayed for a week and it was a beautiful property with a great pool. Well worth the price!
- 5/5
Everything was very nice and new looking, paint, bedding, carpet, shutters, Keurig, towels all looked new. We did not use the pool, but it looked very nice.
- 5/5
Clean rooms good staff hot water good parking but bottom floor noises
- 5/5
felt safe and comfortable as a solo traveler!
- 5/5
Ashley the front desk lady was very kind this place was super clean
- 3/5
Really close to the busy freeway and noisy, but the room and staff were excellent.
- 4/5
Room was clean, beds were very comfortable. It is an average place, as expected for price. Very clean room though and fine. Had parking easy to get to and find coffee shoos ir food withing 5-7 minutes.
- 4/5
My room was great for what you pay for, other than having some uninvited guest i.e. spiders & some roaches. Staff always had the room freshened up, bed was made, trash was always cleaned out. Location was perfect too, I felt like this was perfectly in the middle of everything I wanted to go see. I would definitely stay again but maybe on another floor / room.
- 3/5
location ok
- 4/5
Nice place and clean. The air conditioning had a musty smell, but I live in AZ and not used to humidity in the a/c.
- 4/5
parking was secure and clean room
- 5/5
Staff was amazing and so friendly and helpful. The beds weren’t the most comfortable (too firm for us) but other than that the room was nice and comfortable. Plenty of parking spots. The back building elevator needs an inspection
- 4/5
I don't agree with the $50 dog fee, it should be a deposit that is received back if there is no damage. Also, there shouldn't be a parking fee. $20 is crazy! Also, it would be great if they added a patch of grass, dog run type area. There is really no where for the dogs to go potty.
- 3/5
Immediately smell that the air filters for the A/C hadn’t been changed in a long time, the air smelled musty and dirty. The TVs aren’t smart tvs, which would be a nice upgrade.
- 4/5
A good budget option for a pricey city. Hotel was perfect location, right in Mission Valley; 10 minutes to the zoo, 10 ish to the beach, 10 to Seaworld. It had a nice pool and hot tub. Staff was extremely helpful. The check-in computors weren't working right so I got a text to register the night before and then check in was very quick and easy. I booked a room with a kitchenette, perfect for someone who doesn't want to eat out every meal. The room did have a smell to it, kind of chemically, like they were trying to mask something. It wasn't bad but noticeable and when I tried to open the door and window to air it out the traffic noise was too much. Also one day they were deep cleaning the carpets below me with a special van and that noice was crazy loud even with the door shut. I was disapointed they charged for parking. Seriously, its a big lot in a low traffic area. How can that cost $50? If I was thinking ahead I would have parked on the street and saved myself some money. I would stay again and I would recommend to anyone wanting an affordable hotel in an expensive city.
- 3/5
For the price is convenient, but honestly, the property in the back area it is home for more than gas. I believe there is a homeless community living back there.
- 5/5
El área de la alberca está súper agusto para ir en familia, el agua de la alberca está súper calientita, abierta de 8 am a 11 pm
- 4/5
Clean & friendly! Hot tub was unusable for 2 days - low water, dirty- but there were tons of teenage kids in it days prior. Everything else was good!
- 5/5
Great place for short trip
- 4/5
Overall stay was pleasant
- 4/5
Make sure to check your reservation. You pay a parking fee per night to park your car there and then my towels in the room were stained. There could be some improvements inside the rooms but the grounds themselves were beautiful! The staff was helpful and the best part was the location! Well located and close to the marine base for graduations!
- 5/5
Staff was nice and room was clean.
- 5/5
The pool is so warm and the property is clean. I’ve been here a few times, it’s nice for families.

- 5/5
Good stay
- 4/5
This is cool for the price but don’t expect anything nice!
- 3/5
My best friend and I stayed here, and we found bugs in the bathroom. We called maintenance and they brushed it off and told the front desk it was just some flys. THEY WERE BEATLES. We asked to switch rooms but the property was at full occupancy so they told us they could request a difference room the following night. We did not feel comfortable staying in our infested room yet they told us there was nothing they could do. We planned to stay at the hotel for 6 nights and ended up leaving after 1. They told us there would most likely not be a refund so I had to take extra measures to ensure I would get a refund for the nights I didn’t stay there. The place does not look like the pictures and our room also smelled like chlorine and musty. I would not recommend for a long stay.
- 1/5
Horrible
- 3/5
Parking was great, staff were good, pool was heated which was perfect, hot tub was perfect, the rooms can be more cleaned and smell better.

- 1/5
This hotel didn't meet my expectations especially with the cost of the rooms. The room didn't smell fresh and it was hot throughout the night. Unable to get a good night sleep due to this.
- 4/5
Room was a bit stuffy and one of my burners in the kitchenette didn’t work. Families should not be allowed to set up camp at the pool and have 10 people over with loud music.
- 4/5
Kids enjoyed the heated pool!
- 5/5
Every thing was good
- 2/5
Room seems to be clean, but don’t move any piece of forniture
- 3/5
Hotel was decent. Run down but good enough for my short stay.
- 1/5
Nasty not worth the price for the place, smells like toxic cleaning supplies as soon as you walk into the room
- 4/5
Didn’t like that the ice machine where in the back of the opp bld I stayed in. Having to get snacks from a vending machine was cool either
- 5/5
I don’t like this format at all
- 1/5
Horrible parking, clpthes in drawers from previous stay, no working ice machine, property dirty
- 3/5
You get what you pay for. We tried to save a bit of money during our spring break visit from San Diego so I knew it wouldn’t be luxury. However, I would not recommend this for solo female travelers. There were some people around the parking lot at night that made my sister and I feel uneasy. Also, there was no access code/key to get to the levels with the rooms so anybody could come right up to our door. Our specific room looked like the door had been kicked in at some point in the past, as the wooden door frame around the handle and latch were damaged. This created a gap along the entire door, which made for poor sound insulation and we could hear all the outside noises throughout our stay. We ended up switching to a different hotel after 2 nights and the front desk staff were very helpful in making sure the refund was sorted out.
- 3/5
Safe and easy stay. Only complaint is the doors/windows let so much traffic and siren sounds in, it sounded like the door or window was open all night. I didn’t notice the daily parking fee when booking, so be aware of that!
- 5/5
Hotel is easy to get to. Rooms are super clean. It can get a bit loud if people in adjacent rooms are showering or walking on hallways. However the rooms are nice and well maintained.
- 5/5
Love this place. Real heated pool that is amazing and I love the front desk staff. Will be back again and try to stay here again.
- 3/5
Very noisy location right next to freeway, earplugs helped but did not completely block the sound. Room smelled stale, kitchenette was poorly equipped unless you just plan to use the microwave, no metal utensils to use the stove or ceramic bowls for hot food. Basic past its best hotel. Pool and hot tub were ok. It is somewhat convenient for bus or trolley transport, to other parts of the city. Staff were helpful. Internet speed / wifi was poor, affecting both laptop and tv service.
- 3/5
Pool of vomit for 3 days on the patio outside the common food/coffee area.
- 5/5
Parking was easy, staff was great, clean room. Super easy and convenient
- 3/5
The pool wasn’t heated the first day we were there which sucked cause that’s why we like to stay there and the air conditioner in our room was broken for the first 2 days and dripped water everywhere and soaked the whole floor on that side of the bed. We have stayed here multiple times but this time was not great.
- 5/5
Great 👍
- 5/5
Clean room, nice staff, quick wifi and super cold ac
- 5/5
Clean room and access to many restaurants
- 4/5
Hmm, just so so
- 4/5
I was told when I arrived there was parking charge and a refundable deposit which I thought was wrong the ad said total all you pay so what's up with that and I was 2 hours early and they said I had to wait till 4 called the number again mgr put me on hold then said I could get the early arrival but I was still left driving around for that time very displease I have better receive my deposit that I didn't expect to have the additional money wasn't on the app sorry but I wont go there again
- 2/5
Plus the cleaners start making noise at 5:30am Not a pleasant stay
- 4/5
Booked this property based on price, location and pool. We didn’t end up using the pool but I did see it being cleaned each morning. Location was central to the activities we chose to do and close to fancy mall that my daughter loved. There is no restaurant on the property but several hotels close by that do have food options. The laundry room was great to have, although it found out that they do not allow and loads of laundry to start after 8pm, which was inconvenient as we were sightseeing all day. I did like the coffee available 24/7 in the lounge and there was free drinking water in the lobby that we filled our bottles with every day. Our room was very clean and the staff were kind and helpful.
- 4/5
The light that there was security monitoring the parking lot. It felt safe. There staff were nice and explained everything the place felt a little outdated, but the beds were comfortable also liked the room with the snack machines
- 4/5
Room could have been cleaner, there’s some dried blood on the bathroom door (yikes) that’s been there for a while it looks like. But overall not as bad as I thought. The pool was very nice. Staff was very nice. Questionable neighbors especially at night time but if you keep to yourself it’s fine lol.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, great staff, laundry room reasonably priced, very well maintained property! Have stayed here twice and definitely will again!
- 5/5
Great as usual
- 4/5
All good
- 3/5
Room wasn’t cleaned when we arrived. Housekeeping took over two hours to bring two towels. Parking is extra. Nothing special to justify the cost.
- 2/5
I didn't check out the gym
- 4/5
They tended to our every need and helped accommodate us .
- 4/5
Only issue I had was the vending machine was not working...it was a bummer..but overall my stay was completely comfortable and quiet.
- 5/5
Pillows could be better.
- 5/5
For this price, everything is ok.
- 2/5
The rooms we dingy, the phone did not work, ice machine in building was down, staff didn’t speak very good English, paid for an upgrade and felt it wasn’t more of a down grade
- 4/5
Good spot for a night. The room was clean, and check-in was easy. We didn't use any of the property amenities.
- 4/5
They had a pool but we didn’t go swimming this trip. The hotel was run down. The staff was awesome. The cleaning ladies were very sweet. The bed were very comfortable. They need to replace the carpet in the rooms.
- 3/5
I liked how it was conveniently located that made it easy to get around. The room was always clean, the staff went ahead and checked us in early so we could get out to the beach. I loved how nice and warm the pool and hot tub were and they were clean. I liked how I used my card to get into the food area it felt safe that way
- 5/5
Clean room with all the amenities
- 5/5
Yes
- 1/5
The hotel is run down and looks like it would be in an episode of cops. Gang members standing outside of their rooms with their shirts off smoking weed. Tiny elevator that feels like it’s going to break. We booked these rooms because I wanted to take my family to the San Diego zoo for spring break and unfortunately after we walked into our rooms we had to pack everything up and find new hotel rooms. 0/10 experience.
- 5/5
Staff was super friendly and kind. They were very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is very close to a lot of attractions . I would stay here again if I’m ever in San Diego .
- 3/5
Clean room, comfortable bed. Breakfast was basic needs.
- 5/5
staff cleans daily if needed. nice front desk staff
- 5/5
Heated pool. Convenient location. Kitchenettes. Perfect for families
- 3/5
Hot tub good park was ok charged $20
- 3/5
It was okay for the 3 days we stayed. However our phone didnt work and and we didn't have a shower curtain and the pillows were hard as a rock. Things i could work around for 3 days. When going to the front desk to ask for a shower curtain i mentioned that we were on a time schedule but nobody came to give us one. I had to find a cleaning lady and she came right away. I also mentioned our phone didnt work to the front desk and the girl looked at me with a blank stare, no response. I asked a question to another girl about something else and she answered but no eye contact So all and all it was ok but staff (other then the cleaning lady) need much more customer service training. I wish i was a secret shopper lol. They would have failed!!
- 5/5
Nice room, easy check in and check out. Beautiful views and clean rooms. Definitely staying here again!
- 1/5
.....
- 4/5
Comfortable beds, nice heated pool and hot tub, workout room was very tiny and crappy worn out equipment. The pictures online showed a different picture of workout room. Was very disappointed it was like a small closet not enough room to workout in at all.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 4/5
No time to use
- 2/5
It’s OK place to stay at, but I would never stay here again!
- 5/5
The staff was really good and attentive to our needs.
- 4/5
Room was clean
- 3/5
The staff at the front desk were nice yet the room was not the greatest. The handle for the hot water at the sink did not work, the cupboard door at the sink was hanging down, we could hear the the upstairs guests walking/stomping/dropping things continuously nearly the entire night... It was a great location, though, for where we needed to be at an event this weekend.
- 5/5
Clean room, accessible, heare
- 2/5
We had ants on our bathroom sink area. We had no food there either. We complained they offered to come fix it however it’s super annoying that it was not fixed before we got there. Also in general the room has seen better days. The art had chips out of the frames, bathroom fixtures were not finished correctly. It was clean but just 2.5 star hotel not a 3 star hotel.
- 5/5
Great staff, the rooms were very clean, and it was quiet.
- 2/5
It was just old and gross, with rust on the fixtures and holes in the wall. The room and hallway smelled like cheap strong cleaning products. I would not stay there again.
- 3/5
Facility was very basic but clean. Staff not super friendly. A good deal if you need thw room for sleep only.
- 2/5
Why dont you post cost of parking
- 5/5
Clean and very nice.
- 4/5
Staff were great, room was dated but very clean. The beds were super comfortable. Amenities exactly as advertised.
- 5/5
Excellent stay, service and so clean I enjoyed my stay and I’m glad that I was so lucky to find such a great place to stay last minute online
- 3/5
Room was run down. The shower head would leak outside the tub even when moving it. Also alot of ants. Parking was ok. Noticed one morning a car was hit by something. Overall ok
- 4/5
Always a great stay at the Days Inn. We do recommend family and friends here all the time. Only issue was the bathroom sink handle was loose and the hallway smelled heavily of chlorine. Other than that beds are very comfortable, rooms are quiet, parking is great and overall a good stay.
- 5/5
Excellent all around
- 5/5
The room was very clean, they had extra shower and hand towels also including pool towels. The staff were very friendly and helpful at the front desk for check-in and check-out. Every time we went to go explore San Diego, we would come back to new bed sheets and a clean room. They do go above and beyond at this location.
- 3/5
Con's-the water pressure is very low for the shower, the freeway is very noisy and the exercise room is a joke. The tread on treadmill was almost ripped in half. Very dangerous and unsafe.
- 4/5
Good service all round
- 5/5
Very clean, their pools are ohh so warm
- 4/5
Parking Not Included! Charged an extra $20 at checkout. Room hard to find for premium room- no numbers outside indicating location
- 5/5
Staff friendly rooms always clean
- 5/5
Great customer service and clean rooms, just a suspicious male in the area but security responded
- 3/5
The bathroom door was tricky and got stuck closed. The people were good. The pool was warm.
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
Staff was courteous, amenities could use updating. Easy check in and out. One the 1st floor, people above on 2nd floor were very noisy, until 2am . But only for one night.
- 3/5
Location
- 1/5
The pillows were very uncomfortable. It felt like little balls of balled up socks in a pillow case. It was so bad that why wife woke up twice crying in the middle of the night and had to change hotels for the next night. I do not recommend.
- 3/5
The restroom sliding door was difficult to lock and open because it kept getting stuck.
- 5/5
We were informed that parking was $20 a night the fact which should be included into the daily costs of the room, but other than that we enjoyed our stay and the friendliness of the staff we encountered.
- 1/5
It was a terrible experience.
- 2/5
Not well taken care of. Staff was rude. Fees were not apparent
- 4/5
The rooms were adequate. The floors and fixtures were a little rough, but otherwise everything was fine. A nice pool and hot tub area.
- 2/5
No free parking and neighbors were super loud all night
- 4/5
It’s fine for what it is. Room was clean. Smelled a little funny. Easy access to nearby conference hotel.
- 1/5

- 3/5
It was fine, I know it's just a 3-star hotel, but I would still expect and actual door for the bathroom (not an old sliding door that's hard to move), the exterior door was barely soundproof and could clearly hear everything outside and you could see light coming in around the door, and the toilet would barely flush and the tp holder broke. Nothing hugely annoying, but prob won't be back.
- 3/5
It was cool I guess but the unexpected $100 deposit after paying to online prior and the $20 a night for parking is crazy but overall it’s a good location and very clean staff was helpful.
- 2/5
The room weren’t that clean. (Towels and sheets as well). Sort or dingy. The parking is absolutely horrible. I believe this has been a constant issue from other reviews I have read. I think the property management needs to find a solution for their guest. We were told “maybe you should have gotten here earlier “ I think it was very rude and disrespectful to make a statement like that to your customers
- 5/5
Great stay, staff was friendly
- 4/5
Room was clean ,beds are good
- 5/5
Room was clean, housekeeping staff very attentive. Gina at the front desk was awesome when we extended our stay.
- 1/5
Room was gross, staff weren’t helpful.
- 1/5
Bathroom was not clean. Bathroom door would not close. Bugs in bathroom. Did not stay the night. Left at 9 due to discomfort.
- 4/5
We liked that it had a pool and jacuzzi
- 5/5
Had a great stay, very tidy and professional!
- 3/5
Not completely clean. Floor was little dirty
- 4/5
Yes
- 4/5
heated pool, hot tube, good location, friendly staff
- 4/5
Room was clean. I liked the pre-arrival check in online.
- 4/5
Hot tub & pool were nice but a little crowded with kids because of the holiday weekend. Rooms were remodeled and modern. The bathroom door latch was broken & the gym was tiny with broken treadmill. The location was perfect distance to Ocean Beach & Gaslamp district. Mission bay & Sea world just a few miles away. Fashion Valley mall just half a mile away. I would stay here again. Beautiful rooms & comfy beds.
- 4/5
Good no smart tv though
- 1/5
Night #2: Very tired after almost no sleep, long day at conferences. Three separate fights / domestic violence incidents. Called front desk, moved to new room. New room REEKED of mold / mildew… but at least it was quiet. Night # 3: One neighbors dog barked non-stop, while to other neighbor engaged in “fun time” with their bed aggressively pounding against the wall, while the female partner seemed to be practicing for the choir. Not very good at singing, but just loud.
- 3/5
Bathtub had been painted. Paint was peeling off.
- 5/5
The location was great, Hotel Circle is central to everything. The room was clean, the staff was excellent! We stayed in a kitchenette room and it was great to have. We'll stay there again!
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
The gentleman at the front desk was very kind and patient. I don’t remember his name but remember that he was polite and friendly. However, I will not choose this hotel again due to the extra $20/day fee for parking. It is ridiculous that you have to pay a separate fee for this. I did not know about this fee until the day we checked out. I booked through Expedia and nowhere in my itinerary was the extra parking fee mentioned, it was only upon checkout that we found out about it. For this reason, I will choose a different hotel next time, thank you.
- 4/5
The room was very clean. Front desk staff was friendly and the grounds are well kept.
- 5/5
Clean and close to everything
- 5/5
Clean updated rooms
- 4/5
Staff were nice, room was okay
- 4/5
Easy checkin
- 5/5
The staff was very nice. And the room was very clean. And the beds were actually comfortable.
- 5/5
The room was great. It was just for a couple hours because we were working in San Diego but thank you very much for the good comfort and the cleanliness
- 4/5
Was in good location
- 5/5
Room was great! Just as described, check in was so easy, room was very clean and had everything we needed. Layout of property was nice and spacious. Pool and hot tub area was nice and well kept! Felt safe that you needed your key to go in the pool area and bathrooms. Lots of seating in pool area. Room was cleaned every day. I stayed there from Thursday evening until Monday morning and my stay was nothing less than perfect. Definitely was a great choice choosing Daysinn for my vacation. Perfect location as well! Right in the center of everything, by the freeway. Perfect and do recommend! Will be staying here again for sure.
- 3/5
Room was clean and simple. This room is over the cleaning crew who arrive at 6am every morning. Do not stay in this room unless you don’t mind Geri g up at 6am everyday. A few minor broken things like the closet door, the bathroom light that strobes, and the front door which needed to be loudly forced shut every time (slammed) over all staff was great and room was suitable
- 2/5
The room had a very musty smell but was clean
- 3/5
You get what you pay for. Definitely not the cleanest and unexpected $20 parking fee charge not mentioned. People were very loud all night as well.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Very easy to check in and check out, room was clean and location was fantastic.
- 4/5
Remodel was nice, beds where comfy.
- 4/5
The staff was nice, the room was clean, good location, but the bathroom smelled alternately like pot or sulfur. Weed smokers stay home!
- 5/5
Clean room, super fast check in
- 5/5
Enjoy the stay. Room was clean
- 4/5
Certain bathroom fixtures were in disrepair however clean room and shower etc. we had a good and brief stay
- 5/5
Nice
- 4/5
Room was clean. No issues.
- 5/5
The room was so comfortable and the staff is so kind
- 3/5
There was a huge family dispute at 2AM on Monday above our room #261..there was nobody on hand to handle that!!
- 5/5
Housekeeping is the absolute best. Came back to a spotless room everyday! Location is everything. Pool is beautiful and warm even in the winter.
- 2/5
Our family was so excited to stay here because it was cheap but had decent/good reviews (I believe and 8.0 or something) but was soon very disappointed. Homeless and weirdos walking in every directions (couldn’t walk with my toddler in the evening time). Some of the guests were driving erratically through the parking lot and one person checking in was parked right in the middle of the register parking area (front of hotel entrance) as if he wanted to be told something to be confrontational…. The floors were so unsafe and loose in the room. The carpet was coming up and every step sounded like we were or the people above us were stomping. The TV wobbled when my toddler walked by the tv dresser they had the tv on! outdated ac/heating unit(big bulky smelly and wires hanging), shower/bath had a lot of staining but seemed clean(I wouldn’t sit in the bathtub without major disinfecting of my own doing still) microwave didn’t work well and made a lot of noise. It’s located in HOTEL CIRCLE and this entire area is just filled with homeless and weirdos. Maybe the other hotels are better but this one was honesty horrible the staff was the only good part about it.
- 4/5
The pool was a little dirty. The room however was nice. The room was clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and pillows weren't too soft or too firm. The ac/heater wasn't too loud. Overall excellent and would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
Good Hotel, very convenient
- 4/5
Clean room! Nice staff, very accommodating!
- 4/5
I'd stay here again.
- 5/5
Everything was very clean, and the staff were very professional but friendly
- 5/5
excellent
- 5/5
The room was nice and cleaned everyday by the staff. I enjoyed my stay there and would recommend this place.
- 2/5
Bathtub had rust spots, towels look dingy and old, our fridge was unplugged and there was a towel inside of it soaking up the melted ice but it had melted all over the floor, and the room was just not super clean feeling.
- 5/5
The room was clean, spacious, and functional. While the property is not luxury and feels a bit dated, everything worked well and met our needs for a family stay. Beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had the basic essentials needed for a short trip. The location is convenient, with easy access to major attractions, restaurants, and highways around San Diego. Parking was available and hassle-free, which is important when traveling with kids. Staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in/check-out was smooth. Breakfast options were basic, but having the kitchen made up for it. Overall, Days Inn San Diego is a good budget-friendly option for families, especially if you want a kitchen and plan to spend most of your time exploring the city. We would consider staying again for a short family trip.
- 4/5
Nice room, clean, kind staff. Lots of snacks to get at the front desk.
- 2/5
Fridge didn’t work, loud road noises, hot tub smelled like dirty feet and cheese. They charged us $25 per day, per car to park in their parking lot. Plus a resort fee. Not great.
- 5/5
Convenient location
- 5/5
Room was clean, comfy, and even had a microwave!
- 1/5
Dirty
- 5/5
Good and clean
- 5/5
Clean room, nice staff
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
Good budget hotel.
- 4/5
Close to alot of places to do
- 5/5
Room was clean and ready as soon as I got here
- 2/5
- The staff was very friendly. - The location was good. - The room was clean. Cons - Extremely noisy: My room was close to the laundry room, and they were washing sheets all day and part of the night. It was very loud, and you could feel the vibration of the machines at all times. - Poor sound insulation: You can hear everything. I could hear the guests in the room above us as if they were inside my own room. A few times I thought my wife was walking to the bathroom, but she was asleep—the noise was coming from upstairs. - Bathroom door did not close properly. - No breakfast included: For the price, it would be better to stay at a slightly more expensive hotel that includes breakfast—you’ll end up saving overall.
- 2/5
The room had an unpleasant odor at check-in, and the Wi-Fi was extremely slow. Kitchen utensils were very basic, and only low-quality disposable plates were provided. There were no breakfast options available, which was another drawback. Additionally, the staff did not come across as friendly or welcoming; they appeared disinterested and barely made eye contact while speaking. Overall, I would likely not choose to stay at this property again.
- 3/5
Extremely noisy with couples fighting kids running and very thin walls. I had someone knocking on my door at 4:30am and it went to kicking. I think there was extra curriculum of activity going on. Pretty disappointed to be honest as I was hoping for a quiet and relaxing days and sleep filled nights..
- 3/5
Amenities, such as free breakfast. Seemed like all doors had a hard time closing & so you’d hear constant door slamming at all times of day.
- 2/5
Room was dirty. Front counter staff was great
- 1/5
Bathroom doors couldnt be closed completely. There was stuffed smell in the room. Not good.
- 5/5
The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. A great value!
- 2/5
The property is well kept, however we couldn’t enjoy the pool because it had way too many bees.
- 5/5
Amazing customer service
- 4/5
Clean room and excellent service
- 4/5
First room
- 5/5
Small but clean
- 2/5
I have stayed several times in the past and must say the location is excellent. It's close to everything and has easy access to the freeway that will take you anywhere you need to go. The staff was kind and helpful. The pool and hot tub water temp was perfect but they were both dirty to the point where we didn't get in. The water was cloudy and filthy. The hot tub even had a swampy, skunky smell because the water quality was so poor. It needed chlorine or to be chemed up to standard. We booked a "premier" room in the Sunset building which is back by the pool. It was a complete waste for the upcharge. In the past it offered bottled water and a granola snack in the room along with covered parking. A section of the parking has been boarded off and the rest was filled with junk, trash and an abandoned car only leaving 3 spots for parking. One could excuse it off to remodeling but it was this way 5 years ago at my last visit. The bottled water and granola are no longer offered, there is no benefit for the upcharge. The parking fee is a rip off. I would no longer recommend a stay here, there are many other better options in hotel circle. To the management, I would advise to clean up and clear out the debris, junk, and trash under the Sunset building. It looks trashy and is bringing your property down. Even having the one section boarded off looks hideous. Also, the pool and hot tub need chemical maintenance. The decline of the property was disappointing.
- 2/5
Staff was not friendly. Had to pay for parking hated that lol On day of checkout heavy knock on door by staff at 9 am when checkout is 11 am
- 4/5
The room and staff were great. The only problem was the internet was too slow...
- 5/5
All was very nice.
- 4/5
WiFi was very slow.
- 4/5
Room was good size
- 4/5
Other than that the stay was pleasant. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was very polite
- 1/5
Our room was leaking water front the vent in the bathroom when we arrived around 12am. We called the front desk & they let us know that unfortunately there were no other rooms available. We had to work early the next morning (we were there for work) so we figured fine, we could make it work. The next morning around 7am when we went to shower the water was off. We had to be at work by 8am. Completely unacceptable. I would never stay at this hotel again.
- 3/5
$20 for parking in the hotels parking lot is a bit much. Lots of street noise, especially barking dogs from other rooms. Fire alarm battery was low a beeped all night. Told staff the next morning and they never apologized or offered any comp. just checked me out and sent me on my way. Room nd property was clean. I would likely not stay here again.
- 4/5
Clean room, friendly staff, good shower pressure! My only complaint was noise separation with the floor above, very noisy foot falls throughout the night. I was in room 243 so I recommend the 3rd floor.
- 4/5
Room was surprisingly quiet given proximity to highway. Room was clean and bed was comfy and staff super friendly. My only negative feedback is 1) the sound of water through pipes is loud and I could hear the adjoining rooms late night shower 2) water does not all flow through the shower head in room 302.
- 3/5
We were there for 2 night and we never had room service come and clean....i called the lady at the front desk to let her know....
- 1/5
Room was horrible , it smelled bad and the fridge didn’t work all our food was wasted
- 5/5
Front desk staff was kind, knowledgeable and efficient
- 5/5
This was the greatest room. Plenty of room, spotless, safe!! Very safe environment!! Laundry room was great!! Highly recommend!! Close to public transportation! Everything was clean and beautiful!!
- 4/5
It was a good hotel internet was slow but the people it was clean and nice
- 2/5
We were woken up at 6am by noisy upstairs neighbors. Every door opening and closing, you could hear it all. You also need to be really strong to close the bathroom door and even still, it wouldn’t close all the way. The room also wasn’t really clean. I will not be coming back to stay here.
- 2/5
Room had mold in bathroom and by sink, door jam was broken and cold air was coming in and able to hear everyone outside
- 2/5
I asked a early check-in also and got a similar result. , the day before we checked out I asked if our room wasn’t gonna be available the next day in case we to stay an extra night or get alate checkout, . Then I found out that I had to pay for parking in the hotel, which I thought was really strange because normally if you pay for a hotel room parking is included. The property was not clean. There was debris all over the room was really old. The bed was not comfortable at all very soft and the faucet in the kitchen portion of the kitchen. It did not work. The shower felt like it was gonna fall through the ground because it kept creaking and making sounds like it was loose or something. Overall for the price I guess it was OK because it wasn’t super expensive. But I would never stay at a days in Wyndham hotel ever again. It really was more like a motel six to be honest it wasn’t what I envisioned at me thanks.
- 2/5
People were nice, but didn't offer any help when I had a huge dolly filled with suitcases and the bathroom was dirty, and the shower was clogged
- 5/5
Staff so friendly and helpful rooms clean
- 5/5
Rooms were nice, I like the location and the price was decent at the time.
- 4/5
Friendly staff. Room was clean, bit falling apart, but clean. Only complaints - the tv channels dont match what the info says they are and around 4am when I woke up the bathroom counter was covered in ants. Luckily I didnt have any food or anything there.
- 5/5
Everything was good and up to par! Can I extend?! And whats the cost?
- 4/5
Room was good. This days inn is a little older and the shower and bathroom slightly dated but everything worked fine.
- 3/5
Charging a $20 parking fee is excessive for a non-secure lot with exposed spaces.
- 5/5
The staff were curious. The room was clean and in good repair except for a few minor issues. The door to the microwave was dirty and the open button was sticky.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
Nice room
- 4/5
I was pleasantly surprised to get my room at last minute for a great price. The room was quiet and clean and staff were friendly
- 5/5
We did not use the pool. Unable to rate it.
- 1/5
Room was dirty and janky. Pool was disappointing and dirty. Looks nothing like the pictures.
- 5/5
Great Staff
- 2/5
There was a weird strong humming noise coming from the small fridge which didn't let us sleep properly.
- 4/5
People hanging outside very late
- 4/5
The room was comfortable and clean. It had a thick soft mattress.
- 4/5
The vending machines were sold out especially water, fortunately there was a water dispenser at the front desk.
- 5/5
Easy place to stay.
- 5/5
The room was excellent and the front desk staff very professional.
- 5/5
Room was clean with minimal road noise at night. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Room was clean and tidy though the bathroom ceiling was leaking, but the staff was so great that they came and checked on it and was able to move to a different room.
- 4/5
The room seemed very humid, with AC off our vitamins, Paper goods were damp. I feel like the carpet was mildewy. Probably need some serious cleaning. Hotel room maids, very courteous.
- 4/5
For the price, not a bad stay mostly because I value a good pool after a long trek.
- 3/5
I haven't even got my deposit back and it's over 7 days.
- 5/5
Clean and quiet
- 4/5
The pool and hot tube area was wonderful only very little and not complaining thing is hot tub was a little aggressive lol but but really whole experience was good
- 5/5
Nice hotel, clean and everything is close by
- 4/5
The front desk staff were amazing and so friendly even through the chaos of a busy weekend. The room was comfortable for my family. It could use some upgrades, like in the bathroom and flooring because our room had the floor caved in in some areas under the carpet but you can’t beat the staff and location! Wow! Location! So close to everything and walking distance to the mall! Overall I will stay again and I wouldn’t mind staying the items mentioned!
- 2/5
The room had the worst smell.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and comfortable beds. Safe area and close to many tourist areas.
- 5/5
great
- 4/5
Clean room, staff is. Excellent.

Thank you

The room was extremely clean and the hotel staff was amazing
- 5/5
staff was friendly and the rooms where great!
- 3/5
The front desk staff was great! The room was ok at best. The bathtub was not clean. Had hair in it. Thankfully we bring our own cleaning products. The fridge was dirty and had hair in it in multiple places. That was disgusting. So we didn’t use that. It gave motel vibes and we don’t do motels. It served its purpose for one night. The safe didn’t work so that was useless. I forgot to tell the front desk staff. Also, there was trash left in one of the drawers. Like no one cleaned that room. THATS DISGUSTING!!!

This is an older building whose floors creak and are thin. We had the staff report claims of stomping and children running around within 10 mins of returning to our room after a long day at the zoo. We were situated on the 2nd floor and simply walked into the room and rolled our suitcase to the bed to get clothes out when a hotel staff said that a complaint of stomping were made. My husband informed them that wasn't the case we just arrived and getting ready to shower and sleep. After the staff member left I walked to the bathroom, this is a very small room and it was 4 steps from the bed. I noticed the floor would creak when we get another phone call of children running around. No children running, my 9 year old was lying on the bed and only 1 person moving about. We started to tip toe around, but honestly I didn't pay money to tip toe around my room. The staff should inform patrons prior to booking of thin walls and floors. If you don't like the noise stay somewhere else.
- 2/5
Lots of ants
- 5/5
The room and refrigerator smell of cigarettes
- 4/5
Not a bad place to stay, and was clean
- 2/5
Property was dirty! The room smelt like moldy, stinky smell
- 4/5
The heated pool was awesome. The hot tub jets were a bit aggressive, but overall it is a very nice , sheltered and quiet
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff.
- 4/5
Remote was filthy, I had to clean in. Stains on various things. Hairs everywhere that weren’t mine.
- 3/5
The door to underneath the sink was broken. They had old rug on the floor instead of tile and we paid for pets and it smelled like P from other dogs that may have stayed there before us other than that staff was friendly, checking in and checking out.
- 4/5
However, in the kitchenette only one of the 2 burners was functional, cookware was limited, no knife was provided for food prep, plates/bowls were styrofoam (not microwaveable), and only plastic utensils. The microwave controls were in French (?). On the plus side, the coffee packets were good and the refrigerator was clean. A kitchenette “upgrade” to ceramic tableware, metal cutlery, and 2 functional burners would be a plus. The location was good for our visit to UCSD-Hillcrest and we got our exercise walking up the hill to it several times! Uber worked well for our outings since we did not rent a car and Days Inn was an easy distance from San Diego’s airport, however, no hotel shuttle is provided.
- 5/5
Had no problems
- 5/5
Great for the price
- 5/5
Yes I will come back very clean I like it great jobs.
- 5/5
As part of our stay we were exited to get in the pool and hot tub but we were really disappointed it wasn't clean so we didn't go in at all.My kids were so bummed 😥other than that our stay was pretty good.
- 2/5
Room I got wasn’t what was expecting. Bathroom door didn’t close all the way. Found bugs.
- 5/5
Hotel is good
- 3/5
The hotel was OK, two things can happen , 1 update the room pictures/property , or provide that little bit of extra love and care for the property it does need it, the pictures are maybe from when they opened it because the bathroom needed a little bit of love , room noise is ok , NO breakfast, even tho says they do provide it, our AC unit was not working properly
- 5/5
Convenient for the bus.
- 3/5
Overall stay was nice. The staff was great, our bed was comfortable, everything worked well in our room except for the safe. Also the sink filled up as it needed to be snaked. The bed was comfortable but the room had a musty, stinky smell when you first enter each time but you adjust to it pretty quickly. The overall condition of the motel was a little rough but we did not spend much time there as we were adventuring and had a full itinerary. Good place to stay if you just need a clean bed but not much else. We did use the hot tub and it was nice and hot, but again, a little rough looking. The parking was a little tight and it was a one way so had to go around the building to park correctly. I would stay again if on a budget and not going to spend a lot of down time at the motel.
- 3/5
The jacuzzi water were cold, quite disappointing. I stayed at this area before and there are better options with same price.
- 5/5
The location is BEST fir distance to all daygo destinations. Less than 10 minutes in any direction to pacific beach or zoo or balboa park or downtown. Fashion valley mall is right next door and there’s a target down the street if you need anything pronto. 5 and 163 and 805 highways are right there.
- 5/5
My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Hotel is very clean and staff was friendly. The rooms are very equipped and very spacious!
- 3/5
Staff members were excellent, and the room was clean. Parking lot a bit wonky with entrances blocked off. Plumbing from rooms around your own room can be heard through the walls, and everything just dated. However, it was cheap so basically you get what you pay for.
- 4/5
The staff was so kind and helpful. The room was clean but the outside, stairwells, and pool area was dirty.
- 1/5
Room was noisy , stair door was slamming , pool was not heated , JACUZZI WAS FREEZING with no heat.
- 4/5
Good stay for sightseeing the area and if you aren't going to be hanging out at the hotel. No frills but good rates for a decent stay.
- 4/5
Likes - clean quiet room. Comfortable beds plenty of pillows. Restaurant under construction noises started about 9am. Clean pool Quick check in check out. Cold AC. 20 minute drive to SeaWorld and Belmont Park beaches. Friendly hotel staff. Dislikes - low water pressure. Only two shower towels provided. Room with stove has no overhead vent causing smoke detector go off as soon as stove is turned on. No sponge provided to wash pots pans. Limited tight parking spaces. 20 dollar parking charge. Restaurant closed under construction. Premises dirty garbage on ground. Ice machines caused flooded areas. Homeless encampment right behind hotel. And down the street. Nothing walkable around hotel. Heavy traffic morning and afternoon trying to leave hotel and get back. Sliding bathroom door hard to close completely.
- 5/5
Location, price amazing! Friendly staff
- 5/5
This place was nice. The outdoor seating with lights was nice
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
I did not like the fact that they charged an extra $20 for one overnight park. That is baloney and a game breaker for me as many other Hotels in that area have free parking.
- 2/5
The room was smelly and the carpet smelled like either there was mildew or urine in it. I felt like the property is old and that renovations were done over old, smelly surfaces.
- 4/5
Did not use
- 5/5
One of the most affordable hotels in this area and its location makes it easy to get around San Diego.
- 5/5
There was free, filtered water for your water bottle in the lobby, snacks and medicine for purchase, and self-serve laundry. The staff in the lobby was friendly, honored special requests, and informative. Used towels and coffee packets for the little coffee brewer in the room were replaced and trash was taken out each day of my stay and there was a small fridge and microwave, and wifi. I really appreciate your service and kindness to hotel guests.
- 5/5
I appreciated how close it is to SDSU.
- 4/5
Did not use the gym or the pool.
- 5/5
The staff was probably the kindest I have met in a really long time through my travels. Everyone from the front desk, to maintenance guys holding the elevator door from shutting on me. Such a nice, safe area to stay. FYI there is a parking fee while staying here, but absolutely worth it.
- 5/5
Staff were amazing! We stayed 5 days and they kept everything clean daily, inside and out. The gentleman working the lobby the night we arrived was very accommodating and helpful. The only con here was the pool and hot tub, which wasn't a big deal to us but maybe to others. The pool was not the cleanest and the hot tub was clean, but cold water. Other than that, highly recommended!
- 5/5
Excelent room. Staff friendly.
- 1/5
20 dollars per car to park. Also they hold your deposit for almost a week
- 4/5
.
- 4/5
The room was clean and comfortable. I needed to ask for extra supplies which took a couple of attempts to receive. The cleaning staff were very nice. The pool and hot tub needed some cleaning and the outdoor furniture cushion were old and dirty. The location was great. We were able to walk to the Trolley and a few restaurants which were good. The Waffle Spot is worth the trip.
- 4/5
I liked the jacuzzi and it was right in front of the bus stop.
- 3/5
The room was big and okay. The staff not so friendly. They just did minimum work, not friendly. It seems like they do not have knowledge of the city and public transportation. Also, I stayed 6 days and the sheets were changed upon request on the 4th days. No room service on the 5th day.
- 3/5
Plumbing issues
- 4/5
No dining options nearby.
- 3/5
Rooms are clean but without any exhaust
- 5/5
Fast check in
- 3/5
A woman screamed from the room next to me at 11:30 pm at night. Housekeeping knocked on my door at 9:30 am-wanting to enter my still occupied room-very rude and startling. The room smelled like mold from the air conditioner. There was a notice on the door that the water was going to be shut off between 12noon and 4 pm-very inconvenient.
- 2/5
No shops, have to pay for parking, no complimentary breakfast!!!
- 3/5
Walls are very thin. Door slamming started at 8pm and did not stop until 12am.
- 3/5
The room was okay, I give it a 7, kitchen and restroom area needs to be renovated. Noisy hotel; people going in and out of their rooms al night, kids running
- 2/5
Very remote area all hotels nothing else. Building needs a renovation badly. Main doors are not very safe. No weather seal at all. At night you could see all around the door. Television package very uninviting. A lot of noise during the day but especially at night, thank God for earplugs. Hotel lists on their website available food 24/7. lies! The only place was next store and it was closed for repairs etc. Upon checkin they also failed to mention that. Not even coffee and there is no other place to go. Hopefully they will shut it down soon or condemn it all together. Never staying there again!
- 3/5
My stay was prertty noisy, and there were not many food options.
- 2/5
The room was very humid. The ac was not cooling the room. My matress Had a additional air matress on top. Not sure why. I checkend in at 10:30pm after a long drive. Checked out at 8am. Didn't have the energy to call for another room. My room was 360 i believe. First room to the left of the elevator
- 4/5
The location was great, and overall not a bad experience. You can tell that this hotel is dated.
- 2/5
At check-in, we were handed our room keys and told how to get to the room and where to park. No information on location of the pool, pool hours, pool towels, etc. before they started helping the next person in line. Elevator’s last service/cert expired in 2020-2021. The room was warm and muggy; the AC didn’t help unless it was turned down to 63. The pocket door to the bathroom was a pain to open and close. The towels were quarter size at best and one of the bed pillows had hair dye stains on it. The remote and the tv were not synced and the guide didn’t work. Truly if you are looking for a place to stay in San Diego, pay a little more and stay somewhere better. Do not recommend.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Very nice
- 4/5
Only complaint is that if you have a unit above you it can be loud if they are moving around.
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Heated pool was nice. The bathroom door in the room is terrible.
- 1/5
This hotel is not safe for family with children.
- 5/5
We loved our stay, great price, very clean and excellent location!
- 2/5
They charche me $20 dollars for parking they ask for $100 deposit saind is coming right back
- 3/5
Ok
- 5/5
It's a fairly quiet property
- 4/5
Nothing fancy if you are looking for that. Rooms were clean and staff was nice and helpful. I have an extremely sensitive nose and there was no smells to the room!! We were happy with our stay.
- 3/5
Ok
- 5/5
Very clean and friendly stuff
- 4/5
Good location, nice interior, average exterior. Had some issues with the shower. Overall fine experience.
- 4/5
I have stayed here many times. Convenient. Friendly staff. Great buy. This time was very noisy as they were doing work of some sort in the room above ours, so i couldve done without that. But otherwise had a great time as usual.
- 2/5
inoperable. I notified the front desk to let them know. They never sent anyone to fix it or to even let me know that they couldn’t help the situation in general. I had brought food to make for my stay. It ended up going to waste as I was not able to cook it during my stay.
- 5/5
Clean,big room,safe place
- 5/5
Another great stay! The room and common areas nice and clean. The area near the Sunset bldg elevator a mess and unsafe. Why??
- 4/5
Jose on the maintenance staff was a gem! We were there moving my niece into the dorms at SDSU and ended up having to assemble a dresser. He was amazing! We’ll definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Property was great. It was clean and big. Loved the pool area, like a celebrity pool.
- 4/5
Solid for what you pay.
- 4/5
Pool and hottub were always crowded, other than that great experience
- 5/5
Hotel is clean and close to Seaworld. Rooms were a decent size.
- 3/5
Staff helpful and friendly . Clean room but strong chemical smell in the room. I changed rooms the first room smelled like utine.
- 2/5
WE didnt like paying for parking. We didnt like the whining barking dog next door. A lot of people drinking n the driveway, A couple of people with push buggies out front with no pets are children. came back to Days Inn with security outside of the room next door with the screen off the window. I inquired, they said they were 3rd party. i went to the office they said the door battery had died. by the time I returned to my room the repair person said the door was fine. we did not feell safe.
- 5/5
The room was absolutely clean and smelled soo good I’ve never been in such clean hotel . I definitely recommend to stay here . The workers in front desk were so welcoming and nice . I loved my stay .
- 3/5
The property is in a very convenient place. Lots of people coming and going all the time. Housekeeping was amazing. Breakfast is NOT included there is no breakfast they charge you for mIlk and cereal. Its all typical gas station food take back to your room. Highway robbery. The reataurant next door is closed.. pool os decent and price was ok for just crashing for a few days. Nothing exciting.
- 5/5
The housekeepers were amazing ! We would out for the day and when would return it would be cleaned made up it was great. Thank you
- 4/5
Large room and large comfortable bed with 5 comfy pillows. Could have provided extra towels for my 2 night stay.
- 5/5
Cool stay
- 2/5
Room was full of flies, dirty pool, changing for parking but no space available
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
It was amazing. Very happy with the cleaning process. Great customer service from staff. Very happy customer. Will definitely boo here again. It was great
- 3/5
The pool area was well maintained, but the water appeared a bit hazy.
- 4/5
Small pool
- 4/5
The check-in check-out process was super easy. overall we had a good stay
- 1/5
Bathtub floated with water. Said breakfast included was lie.You have to purchase Dirty room overall.
- 4/5
Nice and cozy feeling. Did not like that we only had 3 towels with 4 people reserved for the room. After a long day at zoo that is the last thing I want to ask for. A bit inconvenient not to have a trash can other than the one in the restroom.
- 5/5
Very nice and classy
- 4/5
Locations is closed to places that we wanted to go.
- 5/5
My husband, son and I stayed on our first time in San Diego. It was nicely cleaned.
- 4/5
Good
- 4/5
The room beds are comfortable, the room was clean and fresh. Easy check in, nice and friendly employees. Thanks for having my family!!!
- 1/5
There was charging $20 for parking space the California low for the handicap person anywhere you park it’s free. I don’t know why they charge $20 for that’s the first time I heard from this hotel.
- 4/5
Like mostly everything, with the superrrr down exception we have to pay 20 dls plus text daily for parking. I have stay at that place for many years, that was the overall down grade for us.
- 5/5
Did not soend much tine at the motel but the room was clean and comfortable. There was a restaurant at the hotel that made getti g breakfast very convenient.
- 5/5
Keep up the good work
- 3/5
This hotel is just ok. Not the best smelling or in the best area and they charge $20 for parking. I would have rather stayed at the Holiday inn express old town. They treat you better, cleaner etc.
- 5/5
I dont understand why there is only one little garbage can in bathroom only. Weird. No full length mirror either. And we were gone all day until 3 and room would not be clean. They would come while we were getting ready for dinner.
- 1/5
If you like the smell of dog pee and very strong air freshener to try and hide the dog pee this place is for you.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 4/5
We appreciate the customer service as well as the elevators. The hotel is right next to the freeway so it does cause a lot of noise.
- 4/5
We enjoyed our stay
- 5/5
Overall, I had a great stay. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful—they made sure to accommodate my father’s needs by placing us near an elevator since he couldn’t go up several floors. Parking was plentiful (though the hotel wasn’t fully booked), and check-in was simple with mobile check-in. I liked that I could add my car details through the app and that it sent texts for check-in and check-out. Just be aware there’s a $100 security deposit and parking is $20. The room itself was comfortable and not small at all (we had two queen beds). It had a sliding restroom door, good lighting by the mirror, hangers, a microwave, and a small fridge. At first we thought the fridge didn’t work, but you just have to manually switch it on from inside. Overall, I’d definitely come back; convenient, clean, and good service for a short stay.
- 3/5
Property in need of upgrades. Carpet at entry was shredded and frayed. Everything was old.
- 5/5
the staff was great, room clean,
- 5/5
Check-in went smoothly but we have a noisy air conditioner.
- 2/5
I had booked a hotel it got canceled. This is the hotel. I got rebooked at it wasn’t near as nice. I don’t appreciate it. This is the second time that my reservation has got canceled within days of going on a trip either someone can contact me and resolve this or I will not be using Expedia anymore.
- 3/5
Pool was very cloudy and not usable and many things in shambles.
- 2/5
Need to renovation the building
- 4/5
Rooms need to be updated
- 4/5
The biggest difference in between this visit and our 1st, a month ago, is the time available to enjoy the hotel. We enjoyed the spa. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Bunz Burgers - really great.
- 2/5
Staff was very pleasant. Cleaning teams did a great job and were very nice.
- 2/5
I was not informed about a parking charge, and only discovered that extra add-on when the credit card was charged after checkout. Aside from the surprise of being charged without being informed in advance by the hotel checkin staff, the idea of charged $20 to stay at this motel is absurd. It is a fine and reasonably-priced accomodation that I would enjoy staying at again, but trapping guests into parking for parking on top of paying for a room is a scam.
- 5/5
I like a firm mattress but yours are too soft for me and sleeping was uncomfortable.
- 3/5
The toilet drain can become clogged. There is a damp smell in the rooms. They give you a pump and you turn it on.
- 2/5
We got a room that was not clean and the door not working , the other room that we got we had to ask every that they clean the room , the housekeeper didn’t clean , didn’t add enough towels, also we need to pay for parking 20 USD per day , although the parking belongs to the hotel
- 3/5
The property is just hard to park at but over all ok stay. Just the front desk ppl looked like they were upset or bored did not look friendly
- 1/5
Roaches!!!!!!!! Ug!!!!! No! They accommodate d me but dog man!
