Great place with friendly staff and with a variety of breakfast choices. Family and I enjoyed our stay there.

A three story horel requires an elevator! As we are older than 75 we found it very-very difficult with suitcases. We would not have booked room here if we had known. Very poor quality breakfast. Even the military folks staying there questioned the poor quality.

I enjoyed the great bedding and pillows really clean and comfortable The Morning Breakfast Was a Great Value!!! The Staff were Super Nice and Friendly Very helpful with The Breakfast area The Hallway seems stuffy and humid no air circulation so it seems just to congested and you can hear all the noise from the hallway

Great stay! Very clean and everyone on the property was helpful. Their breakfast was great too. I’d definitely recommend staying here for a quick trip or extended stay.

Disappointing

It was so bad we didn’t even stay our last night. The breakfast was stale, we had to buy Starbucks instead. The hallways smelled like onions. The staff didn’t even help us with our bags even though we told them we had a disabled person with us, and there was no ramp accessibility to the 2nd and 3rd floor. Our sheets had cigarette holes in them. We wont be staying at a Comfort Inn ever again.

Mid range priced hotel in the center of San Diego County. Great spot for home base while exploring the Northern & Southern sections of San Diego. Quite as well.

The front desk workers were really helpful in accommodating all of my needs. The room was really clean and the breakfast was great!

2. Install towel racks; there were none. 3. Fix the water leak that was leaking into our shower from the shower from the floor above: very unsanitary! 4. Poor TV cable. Many stations, but mostly junk stations. Some stations were watchable. 5. Very cheap toilet paper. People use twice as much to prevent break through! 6. Nice to have a pet friendly motel in a good location.

Can't find any breakfast at other hotels at all. When you book if you need special request floor handicapped ex. CALL AHEAD. Owner and staff are more than happy to assist but you need to do your part and ask ahead. Once there they are full and cannot switch for you. Beds comfy. It was quiet. Free SAFE, on site parking, beautiful pool. Very clean and sparkling but i was there for business. No time. Always stay here when in town. Owner is fantastic! Highly recommended!!! Clean and quiet room. Easy check in, live surveillance over parking lot. Breakfast needs improvement, maybe better cereals and a few fresh fruits.

Liked our stay

The kids liked the pool and the beds were comfortable. Right next to a Carl’s Jr so it was easy to feed the kids. We stayed 1 night.

The front desk staff didn’t care about Customer Service when I asked to have my room serviced to give me a hard time about it and said they would get to it when they got to it overall a pretty bad experience

The staff were so nice, the rooms were so comfortable and clean. In fact, we got the room dirty by accident, and we asked them for room service (free of charge by the way) they did it and it looked somehow BETTER then when we got in. The buffet breakfast made me absolutely speechless. There were scrambled eggs, sausages, muffins, bread, waffles, and apple and orange juice (the orange juice tasted really diluted and didn’t taste that well, but the apple juice was so good. The wifi was somewhat slow and kind of useless sometimes. There was an outdoor pool and a washer and dryer. ($2/load; bring quarters) They do have money exchange for quarters if you need it.

Staff wasn't always at the desk and didn't always know basic things like when breakfast is, but the room was spectacular, and the neighborhood was safe. I would definitely stay here again.

The Tv Controller was not working. The food was ok. Not the best. But the bed was comfortable.

My room had a very strong smell. Something between smoke or paint. The room looked like recently remodeled, underneath the bathroom sink and the closet didn’t even painted yet (dirty board still exposed).

Our stay was very good. Friendly staff, free wifi & continental breakfast! My only complaint was the daily maid service. They did a half job each day. Our beds were never made and we had to ask for tissue and toilet paper refills. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

Booked two rooms with family … pictures look nice but , rooms look nothing like pictures . Weird smell everywhere … not very clean … breakfast was suppose to be included but , didn’t have milk for cereal and the eggs were fake and watery . Damp in both rooms . Slept with long sleeve and long pants every night felt so dirty . will never stay here ever again …. worst hotel I ever stayed at

Very easy to check in and we were able to go straight to the room. The room was very clean and accommodating. We had the breakfast buffet, which was good. Very easy to get to the freeway and restaurants and fast food places not too far away. Did not experience the pool because we had other things to do i.e. sightseeing. overall, it was good choice and we would stay there again.

There was no luggage cart and no elevator, which made it a challenge with a baby and a stroller. There was also a horrible, chemical smell in the second floor hallway that lasted several hours into our stay.

Weird covered up mold smell in the room, covered up mold in the bathrooms, bathroom was gross in the cracks, at the top of the door, underneath board, etc. the tub drain stopper didn’t work to bathe the kids, nothing to drink for breakfast except coffee. Probably wouldn’t stay here again

They put me in a room right next to a loud ice machine when there were many other vacant rooms. The refrigerator in the room was noisy. At 6am several people were getting ice and filling up their coolers. Noisy and loud staying there. Won't stay there again.

The staff is so professional and the rooms are very comfortable & clean and most recommended place with near by many shops and restaurants also the downtown is a just few minutes, good breakfast overall nice experience Thank you comfort Inn.

I just had coffee, food is not appetizing. My toilet is clogged, I had to use plunger.

What stands out the most is the staff and how they are very accommodating with our requests. The property may be outdated, but clean and well kept.

The man working lasts night was nice. That was probably the ONLY thing that was “nice”. The floor we stayed on smelt like something was on fire and stunk up the entire floor. The room was dirty. The bathroom was disgusting. The room was humid and hot even though the AC was at 60°. The walls and scratches. The part of the wall near the AC was torn open and white fluff like fabric was sticking out. We only stayed there for maybe 3 minutes before heading back down and requesting a refund for such horrible conditions. The manager refused to give a refund after we requested one the very same night. The people staying there were loud.

Only real negative lights and mirrors: The light in the bathroom (only light was integrated in mirror) not bright enough for "make up". No small flexible mirror that would allow to see backside. No respective light next to tall mirror in the room either.

It was a decent stay at a decent price. We were in town for a wedding and after looking at several options, I'm glad we chose this one. Nothing fancy but staff are friendly and helpful. They were able to accommodate my request to be on the first floor and even called to follow up and make sure we were still coming since we arrived very late. Liked the mini fridge and microwave in room too.

Nice location and recently upgraded rooms but lack of outlets in the room. Couldn’t have the coffee maker plugged in because the fridge and mice are on the same outlet. Had to move the dresser to plug the microwave in and the outlets by the bed didn’t work.

The cleaning staff doesnt clean for 2 days straight the room, no towels changed nothing.

Everything was good, just didnt make the bed often I think they did it only once. They did however cleaned out the room, trash and bathroom with a change of towels. The laundry machine kept having an error and didnt unlock the door so we had to unplug open door then get our stuff out. A younger gentleman in the front was very helpful.

Breakfast was good (waffles, sausage, eggs, etc.). Pool is very, very small. No elevator. The key card I used needed to be reset five times. Being on the third floor with no elevator...I had to go up and down multiple times just to get into my room.

I want to highlight Dony that works at the front desk at the Miramar Kearney Mesa location. He was very kind. He provided excellent costumer service and answered every question I had. He made my stay very smooth and comfortable.

The hotel is old and needs updating, a lot rust in the room, the room service didn’t make our bed but went thru the drawers, the front desk still charged the wrong card after telling him to put it on another card. The location was great, but the rooms need to be remodeled

This motel was convenient for me as I visited the air show at Miramar. Otherwise as a visitor to San Diego I wouldn’t stay in this area as there is nothing of interest to a tourist nearby. However the motel met my needs for one night and the staff were friendly.

There was a roach inside my room. I took a picture. Aside from that, the batter for the waffles was bitter. I let the gentleman at the reception area know and he reassured me he would change it; it was never changed. Disappointing and unfortunate for Comfort inn to represent this owner of this hotel.

​I had a great two-day stay at the Comfort Inn San Diego Mira Mesa. Raj and the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful, and my room was very clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was a great way to start the day. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Property is nice just off freeway and central to all San Diego has to offer. Beds are hard that is the downfall of the property. Definitely dont arrive before the 2pm check in they will not let you check in early.

Wasn’t disappointed

Breakfast was okay but the area is so small be prepared to wait, and take your food back to your room. There was no elevator, so not disabled friendly, & don’t take lots of luggage. Parking was confusing, be careful so you don’t get towed. Staff was extremely unhelpful, extremely rude, extremely off putting, and seemed like he did not want to be there. The cost was not worth the quality at all, probably could have stayed somewhere else for same price but the pics online looked nice. Don’t be fooled. Tub was black, carpet was moist, air smelled musty. The bedding was clean, & the towels were clean. The pool fits all of 10 people but that might even pushing it.

The guys working the front desk was always so helpful n friendly also the housekeeping girls were very nice too.

The room was basic. The room was clean. The hallway smelled clean, like cleaning agent smell. The room had a microwave and a fridge. A/C was working and we were glad for it since it was a hot weekend. We didn't stay in the room too long since we had to attend the wedding at 3 pm. We came back late and showered. It was hard to get the shower to a perfect temperature. It was either too hot or too cold. By the time we were in bed, we can hear people in the hallway. We heard a dog, a kid crying, people talking. I had the bed near the A/C. When the AC kicked in, it was cold. We it didn't, the room was cold. I couldn't get the machine to a perfect temperature until I left it on low fan. The breakfast was on the 1st floor, in a room. The room was small and tight. Food was just ok. Only the waffle was the only good thing I liked about it.

Our room was right next to the ice machine so we did hear ice dropping down on a regular basis.

Inside our room floor was a little damp. There is no fan inside the bathroom.

The staff was nice, but everything else really wasn’t. As soon as you step out of the car you can smell the nearby dumpsters. Our bedsheets had stains on them, the water would switch between hot and cold on its own. Our first morning, we came downstairs for breakfast and instead of making waffles, they were fixing their septic tank and with no warning the day before that breakfast would be canceled. You could smell the septic tank all the way on the 3rd floor. And our last day before going home, it wasn’t checkout time yet but our card keys locked us out. Won’t return

It was a nice place to stay, the blow dryer didn't work in my room and I called the front office and it was resolved right away, thanks again.

The breakfast was always good The initial entrance was not very inviting but it's a clean room very nice and the breakfast was always good. Very convenient to get to every where in San Diego very easily

It was reasonably priced and good in all respects. The beds are very comfortable.

Had a great experience staying at this hotel. The staff is super friendly, the breakfast was very good, and the room was very nice.

We had to shorten our stay due to the fact that we got bedbugs and when we asked to check out early and not be charged for the rest of our stay, he refused and didn’t believe me that there were bugs in the room, even though my sons and I were covered in bites, and there were dead bed bugs from where we had smashed them

For the convenience, great price, you can’t beat it. Again, more for the convenience, good pricing and not being picky, then this is for you. Beds were comfortable to my surprise, shower was great, again older overall building, but good simple breakfast and great people all around. Happy for a quick just stay to sleep and get go early.

The property has a tiny parking lot beside a Carl's Jr. There's only one entrance which is also the exit that goes through the lobby and leads to the stairs. The stairs slant down in such a way that we had to lean forward just to not fall back, and I did trip at one point carrying my stuff up the stairs due to this. The walls and floors are so thin I could hear people talking in ths next room clear as day. Also, any time we'd take a step or get off of the bed, it sounded as if we were jumping even though we were basically tip-toing as we had already gotten two noise complaints. We were on the third floor, no elevator. The bathtub creaked and felt flimsy like I was going to fall through at any point and the water pooled in the center so I had to move it with my foot to the drain. But, the staff was really nice.

Completely not train housekeeping department!!

For a $300 night hotel, the service was horrible. There is a stinky smell to the hotel, no elevators, the shower handle fell off when I turn it on to take a shower.

I would never stay there again. When i checked in there was no one in the front desk had to wait for 10 minutes for someone to arrive. Then when I got my room there’s no elevator to take to the 3rd floor so we had to take stairs with our luggage. When we arrived to our room we got a non smoking room and it reeked with cigarette smell. They tried to cover it up with febreeze. We try to stay there but after 30 minutes our throat started to burn and decided to leave. We asked for a refund but they said to go thru expedia since that’s where i made the reservation and Comfort Inn is not wanting to refund me back .

This property was in a great location for us because we needed access to the freeway and within a half mile, we had both NB & SB access to the I15. The staff was accommodating and took care of everything we asked promptly and cheerfully. Our only complaint is that the housekeeping staff overuses the Fabuloso cleaner. They have industrial sized (1.5G+) containers of it. We asked them not to clean our room because of the nauseating smell. The first night was the hardest because of the smell, but after burning a large scented candle full time over the duration of our stay, the room was fine. Better training on how to use the cleaner at a higher dilution rate would help. Also the free breakfast was served promptly with the doors opening and closing exactly on time every day. The sausage wasn't too appealing as it was served in the stainless steel tray drowned in a puddle of brothlike liquid. The powdered eggs were only slightly more appealing. Otherwise the "kitchen" area was clean and well stocked with coffee, juices, waffle mix and syrup, yogurt and butter in the fridge. The fruit, tangerines and apples, was overripe. No one ate it, but the same bowl was brought out three days in a row. Overall, we liked our stay, but the breakfast and cleaning procedures need some improvements.

Caught 3 spiders on our room.. omg it was so bad. Shampoo was very limited and the buffet breakfast was eggs, and sausages, waffle and bagel..

In the bathroom a wall tile at the bottom by tub was missing and the area was dirty. We came two hours before the check in and asked the receptionist to use the bathroom. He said there is no facility and I have to go out looking for a bathroom. In addition there was a Hindu religion book was in the bedroom.I prefer a non religious books so people with all faith can enjoy it.,

Hotel is not in a great condition. Biggest disappointment was it did not have an elevator despite having 3 floors! Be prepared to carry your luggage multiple floors. Bathrooms are in a poor state.

Located next to the air base so planes can be loud, but it is right next to the I-15 onramps for convenient access. No elevator available. Building is a little rundown and bath faucet was leaking.

The hot water in the shower was limited Everything in the rooms were pretty old, housekeeping is horrible we were there 3 nights and our beds were only made once and thats because i had to ask them to change the sheets. Beds were very uncomfortable The only good advantage was all the beaches that we went too were only like 20 minutes away

Aside from a painful check-in process my family and I could not have been happier with our choice of hotel for our 3 day getaway to beautiful San Diego! This place takes pride in providing a clean and safe place to lay your head down without breaking the bank. Breakfast is what you would expect, eggs, sausage, waffle maker, and the usual assortment of morning grub🙂 pool was small, but very kid friendly. Gets kinda packed, but to be expected (jump in when ya get the chance.) rooms were very clean, beds incredibly comfy. They have an in house washer&dryer which was helpful after our outing to La Jolla shores. Would we stay again? ABSOLUTELY! Will be back again next year🙂

It was decent

The main reason why I booked with this hotel because of the hot breakfast. This is very important to us, that we did not need to go out and eat breakfast outside that will cut our time for enjoying the places we want to visit, .the food for breakfast was Excellent !!! Clean, delicious and complete hot eggs and sausages,,, waffle, toast, yogurt, cereals…bagels, juices and coffee and teas. . I also like that room equipped with refrigerator, microwave, iron, hair dryer, bed very comfortable with clean sheets. Front desk guys were so Nice and very attentive and accomodating !! Will come back and stay here when we have another vacation in San Diego.

All I was trying to find out is why when Thursdays clerk didnt inform me he was hitting my card for $51 dollar and then an additional $144 And the clerk yelled at me and still didn't clarify the reason But I just paid for the additional 2 night like I said I would But was never told the price would be raised the additional $140 and was refused any type of a receipt ... I was .ade to feel embarrassed and completely ashamed during my stay at the Comfort inn The whole reason I came to stay in San Diego was for a celebration of life for my husband of 35 years whom I recently lost in February 2025 So thank you to the Comfort inn For the additional unneeded stress Best Regards Signed Michelle Lee wilson

I must say my first impression walking in was how clean the lobby and room smelled. I really appreciated that!! Location was not the greatest, but it served its purpose for my business trip.

Quick check in process and close to the freeway is the only upside to this location. We only stayed one day and I did not sleep well. I found a roach roaming around our room and it just wasn’t clean at all. When checking in, we were told breakfast was from 6am - 10am and then we found out it was actually 9am. The location is next to a base and there was a lot of planes flying overhead. It was noisy. I definitely will not be staying here again especially after the roach incident. I’m actually surprised how well this place was rated.

Dirty smelled moldy

The room cleanliness was poor. Hair in my shower and room smelled like cigarettes.

The front desk guy on check-in Friday the 30th was amazing..kind, friendly & professional. Ive checked in w/ him up front several times in the past month. Sunday, june 1st, they were cleaning the carpet on the stairs..bed was awesome. Pool was clean. A bit of trouble w/ hot water for the shower (rm#311) breakfast is ok. Id like them to add oatmeal perhaps. Wheat bread. Overall, its my third time here in 60 days.

It's OK. Too much smell of Comfort Inn cleaner spray everywhere. My eyes were literally watering. But the bed itself was comfortable. There's a very good side by side refrigerator / freezer in the room with a sink, like a little kitchenette, that's better than most. Parking was ample, it's a small hotel. Starbucks across the street. It was relatively quiet. But every Comfort Inn smells like they just hit it with a gallon of sani-perfume. If you like that, you may like staying here.

When we checked in, the front lobby man asked us if we wanted room service every day or every other day. We requested daily room service. Throughout our three days/nights there, room service did not enter our room even a single time. We had to go to the desk to even just request fresh towels. We asked the housekeeping staff to touch up our room, they said they’d be in in ten minutes, they never went in. Trashes stayed full, room was musty and humid, staff not friendly, not clean at this location at all. Very disappointed to say the least.
