The staff were amazing, checking in on us to see if we needed anything. They brought our luggage to our room which was above and beyond great service. The room was great, very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The staff could tone back the sales pitches for the time share opportunities. I was unaware that this was a time share place and I purchased my own room for the two nights stay not realizing that I would receive so many phone calls to my room. We didn’t mind the first encounter when we got there which took out about 10 mins of our time before we reached our room, (we just got through a 3 hour drive and wanted to go strait to our room but we are very patient), however, the 3 calls to our room were a bit much. First call was to see if we needed anything which was a nice gesture. Second call was to see if we needed anything and if we were interested in timeshares. Third call was all about the timeshares and opportunities. It got to the point where we were semi dreading the next phone call because 1. It got annoying and invaded our peace and 2. We kept telling them that we were not interested. Now this was a wonderful place and we would love to come back because everything was exceptional but it was a little excessive.

From the staff to the amenities and the location, everything was wonderful. We weren't interested in the timeshare but we would definitely stay here again. The timeshare spiel the moment we walked in was unexpected, but they were still really nice.

Great location close to all the great restaurants and bars. Rooms were very clean, large, comfortable. Great little kitchen area with fullsize fridge in the room. Firness center well maintained and nice. We will stay again.

Booked the stay (paid for in advance) and when my colleague arrived to check in, he was told there was no room for him. He was now on foot because Uber had dropped him off, he left trying to find another hotel and was mugged. This could have been avoided if the hotel was true to their word and provided a room that we paid for and still have not been refunded for.

I did not book a room at this property and was moved there at no fault of my own. It was a half mile further away from my convention adding time to my morning commute thru an unsafe and filthy streets covered with homeless.

Loved this hotel. Very funky and located in or adjacent to the Gaslamp area of San Diego. Rooms were clean and serviced every second day. Room was spacious but my only negatives were that there is no safe or mini fridge in the room. Very close to Broadway and the 5th Avenue Trolley stop. Would I stay here again… definitely

This hotel was convenient for a conference I attended. I love how walkable it is to things, but it is quite loud in this area in the evenings. I travel with earplugs, so I was fine - but definitely something to know about in Advance!

Great rooms for an excellent price. Yes, the area is busy and the vulnerable population is prevalent in the area. However the building is under key card lock 24/7 and the staff is very friendly.

They have a VIP chalk board for guests with your name that makes you feel special. Harmony checked me in and was fantastic. She was patient, kind and knowledgeable. I was able to check in early from a long flight and prepare for the conference I was attending at the convention center. A plethora of local restaurants to choose from. Homeless are around but unavoidable. Felt safe with key card access to the hotel. My room was clean and quiet, it had a kitchenette area that was a plus. Will definitely return next time I’m in San Diego.

It had a huge room, with great access to gaslamp district amenities. They shut off the water all day the one full day we were trying to rest, they charge 40$ for valet parking every night... Which comes in handy, but just shouldn't go left unmerited

The app used by the valet service didn’t work so we spent quite a bit of time trying to confirm that our car was actually there. The hotel and valet staff were helpful but could not send us a message with the link to retrieve our car. The room was large, attractive and comfortable but the window seal was broken so we could hear every conversation on the sidewalk below it.

I received a call weeks after booking, 2 days prior to arrival, saying that due to circumstances, they could not honor my reservation. This is a first for me, personally, and I travel a lot.

After several emails to the hotel & 1 to Booking.com I still unable to receive a copy of the invoice for the stay to enable me to reconcile may credit card statement, very poor service.

The rooms were large and clean The staff were rude when I originally called because I was not a member When we arrived with family that were members - we were treated like second class citizens That was the worst water quality I have ever experienced - there was a gross film on me after my shower

Very clean and spacious, beds were comfortable. I always pull all sheets off and check the mattress when I stay in hotels, this one was spotless! We love the dishwasher in room, full fridge with ice maker and stove top! The sitting area is a good size and comfortable. The bathroom is also a good size, you don’t feel cramped! We stayed here three years ago and the location was fun & lively one of the reasons we rebooked here! This visit the surrounding area seems a bit run down and lots of homeless people camped out front close to entrance. The police frequently came by to ask them to leave and each time we witnessed (waiting for valet) the squatters would yell profanities and argue. Made it uncomfortable especially with our small children witnessing.

This place is beautiful, room was great, staff were fantastic, however ensure you use the ear plugs every night!! The windows are paper thin and the street it faces is extremely busy with bars, restaurants and homeless people. It is a great location, just be prepared.

Located on the only seedy block in the gaslamp quarter...surrounded by tattoo parlors, liquor stores, and pawn shops...lots of homeless gathering at night. Can hear all the street noise all night, esp on lower floors. Once inside, facility is great.

Had a mixup with her room. Rachel the general manager was one of the best customer service managers that Have meet. She was understanding and went over and beyond. Her staff was also very courteous and friendly. Highly recommend this Hotel.

A bit noisy at night but understandable considering we are right in downtown. Service was good, bed was comfortable. Hot water in the pipes came quickly. The kitchenette was cute and had what was needed.

Pros: valet fee waived if you attend 1.5 hr lecture at breakfast, nice internet speed included, pastry in foyer in morning, discount given for breakfast at Cafe21 which is absolutely delicious!!! Overall: highly recommended

The hotel's top two floors were under construction which created early morning noise if you were trying to sleep in. Also this is a vacation club hotel so expect to be hassled for a free breakfast meeting upon your arrival. The rooms are newly renovated and very clean.

Girls weekend. Hotel is great. Having the kitchen in the room was a huge time and money saver. The only drawback is the area of the Gaslamp that the hotel is located has become very sketchy. Lots of homeless all over the sidewalk and police sirens all night long.

Clean rooms, great location . Staff was helpful, we got to town early but they held our bags and even had them in our rooms when we checked in ...tje did talk about their time shares but were never pushy, a quick no thanks was all that was needed

staff was very friendly, complementary muffins and lemonade were a nice touch. the room was beautiful and spacious, though a little dim lighting. i enjoyed the rounded window view which was of the downtown street. not fond of paying for valet parking.

Overall, loved the location and room was good quality. In my opinion, the staff was a little too aggressive regarding sales presentation. We were never offered a refresh of key items such as towels, linen, tissues etc... We found that to be unusual.

Great place to stay if you're going to be partying during your stay. Located at the heart of the Gaslamp Quarters. Complimentary tickets to get into clubs. Walking distance to all social bars and clubs. Privacy was a given, staff was very resourceful with information.

The hotel staff at the door, behind the desk and the gentleman who took our suitcases were great.The concierge on the other hand was too pushy on trying to get me to sign up for a class the minute I registered for our room.I explained to her we did not have time for this at this time since we had litterally just drove for 2 days and were tired and hungry.So when we came back from eating we barely stepped into the hotel when she was bothering us again. This made us very uncomfortable walking into the hotel.As I stand everyone else was great.

The hotel was located in the Gaslamp district of San Diego. Perfect location. Very clean room. Comfort beds.

We were overall displeased with our stay. Right away they started pushing free stuff with their ultimate goal of selling time shares. Our baby was crying, so they said they'd call us to talk about the time share and I didn't want to be rude, so I agreed. Our luggage hadn't even been delivered to our room before they started calling. They called so many times that I had to disconnect my phone. They finally trapped us in the lobby one evening sometime after 7 pm. You really have to give them a direct no, otherwise they'll keep pursuing you. It's definitely a turn off. It's completely crazy that a hotel would sacrifice customer service to sell you something. I would not recommend.

Very good and clean room, spacious, loved the gym and steam room. issues: lower levels room gets very noisy at night cause its near a parking lot, during my stay someone had the music so loud in his car in the parking lot for over 30 minutes, the room's walls were literally shacking! I called main desk they said they can't do anything about it, and i can call police myself if i'd like to! anyways the dude left eventually but it wasn't a pleasant expereience. Finally, there are no room service every day.

Very good and clean room, spacious, loved the gym and steam room. issues: lower levels room gets very noisy at night cause its near a parking lot, during my stay someone had the music so loud in his car in the parking lot for over 30 minutes, the room's walls were literally shacking! My family and Inenjoyed our stay at the Wyndham Harbour Lights. I was there on a work convention and was happy to have a central location, close enough to the convention center to walk. Comfortable room and accomodations. Expensive parking, but valet was easy to work with.

The rooms were a good size and very comfortable. It came with a kitchenette, complete with cookware and utensils. The staff was very accommodating and welcoming. It is in downtown and so you get the large city feel with accessibility to all the major attractions within 15 minutes away. Valet parking is reasonable and is the best option. The gentleman were very prompt and professional. Overall, it was a good stay and would love to stay there again.

Cons: Our room was slightly noisy at night - it was on the second floor overlooking the street. The major downside however is them trying to sell us their time share program (I would like to be asked whether I'm interested or not rather than being handed over right after checking-in to someone trying to sell me something I don't want; felt rather unprofessional).

Also, there was no option for room service. This location has no room service or bottled water. You again have to take a pitcher to the lobby to retrieve. So best to know in advance, then you can plan.

Tried to sell me a time share. Didn't clean room or replace soap, shampoo, etc. Lots of street noise.

We had a great time and loved the location.
