The room was very basic, nothing special to write about. No hangers to hang my clothes, I had to go buy some. No hair dryer in the room, good thing I had brought my own. The king size bed was extremely uncomfortable. There was very low water pressure in the shower. I mentioned it to the front desk during check out, the response I got was sub-par. The guy told me they were aware of it and were working on updates. I'm not clear if the entire hotel was under this update or just my wing of the hotel. If it was just my wing of the hotel, then why place ANY guests there. The desk chair was filthy. I had to place a towel on it to use it. The room did NOT have an extra lock with the arm which prevents anyone from coming into the room aside from the door lock. I felt very unsafe as a single female in the room. Loud party noises from 3:30am to 5am from the room next door during my first night. This was a repeated issue on the second night from 2:30am to 4:30am. When I mentioned it to the front desk the morning I checked out, the guy said, well it's Memorial Day Weekend, people are just wanting to party. Yeah, what about your guests that want to sleep at 3am??? Very limited parking for the amount of rooms offered. I would NEVER stay at this hotel again. I do not recommend it at all.

Air-conditioning worked fine. Wi-Fi worked fine that’s about all younger front desk. Man was super nice older front desk man Hella rude told us we weren’t guests there when we had a parking pass. The TV didn’t work in our room from day one they didn’t help us fix it. We were told to change the sheets out ourselves on the bed then when we went to change the sheets out, there was blood on the mattresses and I’m still waiting for my refund from my bank because the front desk told us we could not get our refund back we were supposed to be there till Sunday.

I’ve stayed here multiple times when I need an affordable, one-night stay. The beds could use some updating but the AC works, the toilets flush and there’s enough parking.

The room was dirty and dingy.

No available outlets in room, bathroom smelled like a sewer, tiny sink - barely useable, door not secure, staff not helpful, etc.

The air conditioning not cooling and the water pressure is very poor. Very limited parking. The bed sheets was full of hairs. The good thing was the location.

Stay away. Extremely nasty room bedsheets had a smell, towels had a smell, curtains have a least 4 pounds of dirt accumulated thru decades, chairs had a black spot that seems suspicius, extremely noisy, you can listen to all cars, sirens, etc, parking is extremely small, no elevator, bed is in bad matress is terrible, thin and makes noise when you sit or lay down. Hotel quality is a joke. Shower is super small, feels like a motor home shower. Toilet space is ridiculous.

Do not stay here unless, you don't sleep. Because you won't the A/C was so loud I could not sleep all night. They towels were dirty, the sink had a pubic hair (although it could have been mine, it was there). You will not be comfortable sleeping her. I chose it for a quick night stay for an early morning airport flight. But the cleanliness is horrible, I do not think they use soap to clean their laundry towels. I can only imagine how bad the sheets I slept in were. I tried not to think about but it was a horrible experience.

Curtains dont close - bright pool lights all night. AC works only 10 min and shuts off . So you will be awake all night. Old horrible mattress. Loud neighbors above and beside. This place is Rough Going.

We got there around 7pm. When we went to the room the tv did not work or the phone. We had to wait until the maintenance person came the next morning to fix the TV. After the first day, when we came back to the room, they had not even taken out the garbage. I was disappointed.

We had to get a room close to the airport really quick and it was the cheapest option, the property is a little outdated but the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful.

It was a great location for us close to Ocean Beach and Old Town San Diego. I didn't have any issues with security or safety and thought the room was adequate and clean. It's definitely a No Frills Budget Hotel but it checked all the boxes for friendly staff and cleanliness No coffee in the bedrooms and the sheets on the bed were not very soft.

The parking is not convenient and safe to use. In general, you are getting what you pay for.

Rate Room had no dresser or drawers and no hangers for clothes. Bedspread had burn holes in it. TV would constantly shut off.

Staff was helpful. Room was clean and the fridge and microwave are of good help too. TV channels are limited. Do t expect great things. Property is too close to road and sometimes you hear loud cars passing by. Also, choose second floor next time. It's annoying hearing people walking upstairs when you sleep on first floor. Parking was a bit tricky but there is space.

Our sliding door was open when we arrived - making me wonder how long it was open for. A lot of room was very tired...old appliances, worn paint, super thin walls, you could hear airplanes very loudly until midnight and again at 6. It is a short walk to some food places in midtown and a short drive in the morning to the airport, and the price for a room with 3 beds was good - although the room itself was very small. I would sum this up as a comparatively good price for where we were staying, but there were definitely no frills. I could not even get ice until the office opened up in the morning as the ice machine is locked in with the pool.

Too much noise at night from tenants

Nothing. But the staff was polite. Everything in the room is worn, the bed was old and stiff, and the worst part was that the bathroom was dirty. There was black hair in the sink...(I have blonde hair.) After discovering the bathroom so visibly dirty (finding someone else's hair is gross), I was not comfortable sleeping in the bed and used my own sheets and pillow on top of the bed.

Cons: No frills. Beds and furniture really old. If you just need a place to lay your head for a night or two, and you want to save money I would recommend this hotel.

Floors are dirty

The area is decent, lots of traffic and near the airport. So it is a bit loud all the time. The parking lot is very difficult to navigate as it is a one way on a very busy street. There is no breakfast included. The room is outdated and a bit dirty. The beds were uncomfortable and very noisy. You would sink in because there is no support. The AC works great though. The bathroom had no towel holders but the water did get warm. In a nutshell, you get what you pay for.

I only stayed one night, so I did not experience the laundry service.

After leaving the facilities, I there was bedbugs. I had checked, and I didn’t see anything concerning And until I left and then all of a sudden I had a bedbug bites from my head down to my legs

Rooms were adequate, pool and pool side seating was nice to have. Great to have 3 beds in a single room for a larger family.

The staff was friendly and we enjoyed the pool area. Our room was fine, clean enough, but could definitely use some updates. It was overlooking the busy road, so pretty noisy, but we were tired and slept fine. It worked well as an affordable place to crash on a quick stopover.

Parking lot is a. Arrow one way around south end tk back west. Towels are of acceptable quality, clean, but mid low quality, folded and stacked on foot of bed. For the rate, it is m comfortable than corporate M-6.

This is an older building, and while it is well maintained and clean, guests should not expect a high end lodging experience. There is parking, but large and/or long vehicles may find it difficult to drive around from the entrance to the parking in back. The pool is lovely. Most rooms have a fair amount of road noise, plus the airport flight patterns affect all lodging in the area. Staff has always treated me very well. I like the location for access to Liberty Station, Cabrillo National Monument and Tide Pools, Mission Beach, and 3 grocers nearby. There is an abundance of restaurants all around, but I bring or purchase my foods rather than eat at restaurants.

The cleaning staff kept the linens clean, but the bathroom floor could have used some more attention before I arrived to check in. This is a bargain price so I can't complain about lots of road noise or cheap mattresses. Overall if you're tight on a budget, this is a good place.

The room was adquate for three of us. The three beds allowed each to have a bed without shareing. couldnt rate the services as we only stayed one night and didn't use any services. we will probably use it in the future for our fishing trips.

There's no place to hang up a bath towel either. You have to leave it on top of the toilet tank if you want to reach it without getting out of the shower. It's ok for a night of maybe two, but I wouldn't stay any longer

No frills, but it’s a roof over head, and a place to sleep with a clean shower. The mattress was hard, but again, I just needed a place to sleep while my father is at one of the local hospitals. Plenty of food options within walking distance (but maybe drive there instead). Staff is always pleasant and I will likely stay here again (this is my third stay)

The towels they provided were clean and abundant, two rolls of toilet paper which is plenty, and a box of tissues. They also include small bottles of lotion, body wash, and shampoo. Overall great stay for the price.

Friendly front, desk staff, and easy check in and check out. Quiet property, which made for an enjoyable night.

The beds and pillows need to be upgraded. The beds are extremely creepy, sunken in on some parts, and very uncomfortable. It's a great price and the location is convenient, but the needs need to be replaced.

Staff was courteous, allowed us to check In Early for a fee. Not the best room, felt a little dirty, but it was cheap.

The photos definitely need to be updated. The cleanliness of the room was awful. There was a hole in the conjoining door, so you can see through. The a/c unit leaks water right outside the door, so you track filth in and out. The beds squeak and the room upstairs kept us up all night, you could hear their stomping all night and opening and closing door. The bathroom is not up to par, especially for a family style room. This MOTEL should not be advertised on Expedia, not family friendly at all.

The place looked dirty and bad customer service and lack of communication and service was horrible and parking really bad false advertising about 10 min walk from hotel to San Diego mcrd base I would not recommend from any families coming to see there marine for a hotel stay at this hotel and in small print about a 100 deposit after you already paid online for your room they still want to harass about it when checking in and not courtesy what so ever

The night staff was really friendly and kind. I’m not picky but the room is very outdated and lacked a security lock at the top. You hear EVERYTHING- when other guests opened their doors, it sounded like they’re opening yours. Our TV didn’t work but we didn’t stay long enough to use it. The bathroom had rust around the sink and the beds were very stiff. Overall, not the best stay I’ve ever had but it was good enough and close to stores, restaurants, gas stations, etc.

The room and bathroom could definitely use an upgrade. Paint was chipped and peep. Bathroom had rust on the shelves. There wasn’t a microwave. Pool was taped off and there was no place to sit outside.

AC was a small unit controlled by a light switch at the door. Room as clean but over done wirh pine sol smell. Took hours for the smell to subside.

Staff was HORRIBLE!! They're not customer service friendly at all!! Room rate was so-so. No amenities whatsoever. Limited plugs in the room. No stopper in bathroom sink for shaving. Lighting also very poor in room overall. Bed was okay if you like it hard, but pillows were absolutely HORRIBLE!! No hangers in the closet area. No iron/ironing board. TV channels were very limited. Mirror in bathroom were hung for short people!! The 2 best things about the room: Decent shower head & good AC!! No breakfast offerings of any type except coffee. Ironically, I use to manage this property from 1980-1985 under a different Owner as a much younger man. It was a lot different back then. The current Owners are from India (last name probably Patel) & as most of the properties that they buy, they put next to no money into improvements/service or amenities. They could pretty much care less about the customers who pay them money!! Nothing but the facts...

For the price, it's what is expected. So, If you want a nice, newer place, this isn't it. If you need an inexpensive room...this place will do. Parking is difficult.

The room is too old and not clean. There's mold on the ceiling in the room and bathroom. Parking was easy because there weren't many guests.

The room was great, the people who helped us were also good. But there were problem with the shower, it only had really hot water so it was a little bit uncomfortable to shower especially our kid.

The security of the hotel is horrible. There is only the one lock on the door, not latch lock or anything. My room door looked like it had been kicked in a few times. When I expressed my concern about the locks, I was told the one lock should be enough

That place was very dirty they wanted a deposit I gave a deposit they told me I'd get it back in 3 days it's been 5 day there is mold in the shower mold on the ceiling it was just terrible all the way around that place shouldn't even be on your app to rent because it is so dirty and a stop is rude

We just needed the room for an overnight stay. We got an old room with a musty smell, two uncomfortable beds, and a noisy main road. The locks didn’t feel safe and secure either. We booked it at a low price. We didn’t expect much since you get what you pay for. The location is great with a bunch of conveniences within walking distance.

Hotel floors were not very clean. You could not walk around with just socks on because they would turn black. Beds were clean, but not very comfortable. Street out front was very busy, but you could not hear it inside. Parking was easy to maneuver, and the neighborhood felt safe. It was very convenient to MCRD and served its purpose of 2 days.

Definitely need new mattress, tv and air conditioner does not work.

The price was good for a vacation when you won’t spend a lot of time in the room. Bathroom sink space was limited for toiletries, so it would have been better for one person, maybe 2, but not for a family of 4. Service was friendly and helpful. The only negative part of my stay was after spending a full day traveling I was looking forward to taking off my shoes to relax, but floor was sticky and dirty so my family couldn’t walk around the room without wearing shoes

We traveled as a family and decided to try a different hotel this time. Immediately we realized we should have spent the extra money and gone elsewhere. The parking was very snug, and the activity taking place in the parking lot was very questionable. There was no elevators. Once we got to the second floor to find our room, we entered a very old worn down hallway, just to find a room that was very very outdated. The lighting was terrible as there was only two lamps in the bedroom.

We pulled into parking lot and lots of signs saying park at your own risk ? Then I get out of my car and homeless people are in parking lot smoking cigarettes just watching my car- this scared my children. I said everything will be fine to my children. After checking in because I had a no cancellation on my reservation I realized the whole place is a disaster from lobby to the room . This is the worst hotel in San Diego avoid at all cost. Beds are old and springs go all the way down! Tv is a small old set. Room is disgustingly filthy- sheets had stains - just overall the most disgusting hotel I have ever checked into! Beware! This is not a place you want to be!

This place is run down. The sheets and pillows were dirty with stains. The pictures on the site are not up to date. We left and stayed somewhere else. Still waiting for Ecpedia to make this right! Very unhappy and deceived!!!

There were spiders and cockroach in our room. Beds were uncomfortable.

It was definitely not a fancy hotel but it was clean and a good price. We didn’t get to use the pool because of the weather but it looked very clean. The towels are thin and scratchy but for the price, we just went to Walmart and got a few towels.

I honestly didn't expect much. You get what you pay for so I'm not complaining too much. I was a single traveling guy. Would never have stayed there with family. For myself it was okay. However probably wouldnt stay there again due to the lack of cleanliness. It was nasty.

Really accommodating staff who happily held my bags before and after my stay, bit noisy because of the road location. There were a few shows in walking distance, airport, seaworld and the marina were all within a 10 min drive.

Not gonna lie, it's pretty dated and needs a FACELIFT. The staff are somewhat helpful but the English isn't the best. I would recommend it if you needed a place to stay, but not long term for a travelling construction worker. You'd be more comfortable at a TA parking lot, sleeping in your truck.

Hotel was old and dirty. Hair in the room from other guests. Shower had no pressure. Beds were hard, towels were dirty. Just a very poorly run hotel. I will never stay there again. Staff clean our room and did not replace towels or trash bags. Went to the front desk they didn’t have wash clothes after taken the ones from the rom after one night. Aaked for house keeping a day later never got it. Ran out of toilet paper, no hairdryer. Just a bad location if your planning to do anything you want to dress nice for. Power was always going out. Putlets had extension cords running around the room. Major fire risk.

Only downfall was no elevator to the second floor. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay!

It’s close to sprouts CVS and a couple other stores is in between downtown and point Loma. Those were all good negative side. Do you have a lot of streetwalkers and sketchy crowds at night

The price was great. The room felt safe. The bathroom had a small amount of mold. The door to our room had a broken lock. We had to ask that they make us new keys repeatedly, and eventually they had to replace the lock entirely. They did that each time without asking for our names or who we were. The person on the reservation wasn't even present. At one point they gave us keys to someone else's room because they misheard the number we told them. This strongly felt like a safety concern. But even with all of the above, I would stay here again.

Small hotel, clean but no extras.

The person when checking in wasn't that friendly but you got what you paid for. The room suites was alright with descent size beds but the floors were a little filthy. It was convenient to where I needed to go that was a 5 minutes drive.. I wouldn't recommend this place if you want comfortable beds.

Bedsheets was dirty, so I requested a new room instead of mentioning that the bedsheets was dirty. Unfortunately, there wasn’t any other available rooms. I had to go out and purchase a sleeping bag to lay upon the bed. Pillows still had hair from previous guest. request a refund, but I know that won’t happen. Stay far away.

The rooms were dirty. Dust all over the room smells like a dirty laundry room. The bed was dirty you could feel the dust on the covers. But on the plus side had a mini refrigerator and microwave in room and around the area was really clean and quiet.

not bad, clean and spacious but I do have to say there was some downsides like the sheets aren’t the most comfortable to sleep in I would suggests you bring your own sheets to improve your sleep quality also if you get a room near the street you will hear the cars but other than that we enjoyed our stay would book again!

My stay was decent. Just didn't like being rushed out when I was packing up to leave. I know check out is at 11am but it was 11:02 am when one of the employees came banging on the door. I was out of the room by 11:05 am but you would've thought it was 1pm the way they were rushing me.

There was no room service. We had to get our towels and the curtains in our room #40 was dusty and dirty

We walked into the room and it smelled terrible, there was black stuff all over one of the beds and the other bed was missing blankets. Dozens of black hairs on the sheets and around the room. We had to go to target and buy new sheets because we didn’t feel comfortable sleeping on the ones provided. Cleaning lady walked in while we were sleeping and woke us up. 0/5 stars if I could. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again.
