The people are really nice but it's a family home and there is so much noise in the morning - there should be quiet hours at least from 11pm-8am. It was hard to sleep even though I paid for a private room. Apart from this, it was great but being able to sleep is so important. Otherwise this place is great

It was colorfully decorated. No working outlets in my room. Staff with no English (I understand I’m in a Spanish speaking country, but they advertised English speaking staff!) Kitchen always dirty. Countertops filthy and one ratty dirty towel to clean with. Pans and dishes put away dirty. Cigarette smoking in public spaces (kitchen). I left 5 days early.

Good location, rooms were ok too. There was a seating area outside our room and you could hear everything so it was a little unfortunate

The wi-fi was excellent and I was able to take video meetings with no problems. The location is good, close to center but no noise from the street/neighbors at night. The whole space is covered in beautiful murals. The kitchen has definitely seen better days (ants all over, generally quite dirty). Depending on the day, there were no forks, bowls, or spoons available - I think they had been taken to the staff kitchen, which is locked at night. Also no salt or oil, which we had to buy ourselves. The private rooms all have windows into a hallway with essentially no sound insulation. We got woken up pretty much every night by other guests, and there didn't seem to be any quiet hours enforced. Both towels and sheets had holes in them. No soap provided in the bathroom.

Very nice common areas, amazing value for money, cheap options for drinks and breakfast and the staff was nice. Nothing.

Staff member Ivan was a standout -- helpful and nice! Other staff had great food recommendations and were friendly. The private room (#1) was dark so I slept well. Was only there briefly, so can't comment on the kitchen / social scene etc. The bathroom in the private didn't have good ventilation and the toilet wouldn't fully flush the entire stay. Would have liked some soap for washing my hands, too.

The price vs you’re paying for is very good. It was mix bedroom with around 12 beds, however it didn’t feel crowded besides it was almost full. I paid 50 mxn for the breakfast, usually you pay for the same breakfast in Mexico City around 180-200 mxn. Staff was also cool. I know that is a place full of young travelers, I understood, but the rooftop always smells to weed and sometimes I had headache

I stayed in the female dorm in the top terrace, the bed was very comfortable and the room seemed newly renovated. The area itself was very quiet at night but I was woken up every morning at 6am by firecrackers shot nearby (they are very common in San Cris). There is lots of common space in the hostel including a bar and a shared kitchen, overall it’s great value for money There are no lockers in the room, which I find very inconvenient. There are some in the reception area but they are very tiny and don’t even fit a computer, so if you have something valuable larger than that size you can only either leave it to the reception or take it with you all times. The shower was not working properly, it was very difficult to regulate to a temperature that was not either boiling hot or freezing cold. Be prepared to spend 10 minutes for that.
