Hotel Plaza Magnolias

Since it is an old structure, it had a smell of old dampness. Our 1st assigned room was way in back on the ground level. Even though it was very clean and beautifully decorated, it had a strong mold/mildew smell. They were able to relocate us to a 3rd floor room which was much better, but not completely free of smell.

Only the location is good. that's it. Horribly noisy hotel. The rooms do not prevent noise, so you hear everything as if it in your room - people talking, babies crying, the cleaners cleaning... Anyone who cares about a good night's sleep - should not book this hotel. In addition, this is a very outdated hotel. They skimp on the guest's expense. There is not even a pot to make tea on a cold night. The rooms are also very dirty. We were in two rooms and one of them had excrement smeared on the bathroom wall.

Great location and value. n general the property was great but we only stayed for one night and I’m not sure if we were just unlucky but the room smelled really badly of damp and it was really hard to breathe whilst inside the room.

Best location in san cristobal, kind and helpful staff. No wifi reception at the room (106) was the most unfortunate problem, unfortunately the staff could not help. The room was a little smaller than what we ordered, we haven't been there much during the day so it wasn't too bad, just disappointing a bit. The staff tried to help but were out of reach.

Perfect position, very nice room and kind staff. The bathroom sink was clogged and, although we reported more than once to the staff, nobody fixed it. WiFi credentials had very short duration (probably less than 24hours). It is possible to book Day tours directly at the hotel but the price is much higher than that offered by other hotels.

Hotel had a lot ofcharacter in an oldbuilding. Close to main plaza. No AC, but they brought a fan and got cool at night. No hot water.

the building was from the 1600 and had a nice old style mixed with a modern look, friendly staff. the Wi-Fi wasn’t that good in over room and was a bit annoying we had to get a new password in the reception everyday for the Wi-Fi.

Wifi was provided but you had to ask for a new password every 24 hrs. Hotel was nearby restaurants and shops. The TV didn't work, we asked for assistance and staff was never able to fix it. We were there 5 nights. Toilet stopped flushing, we asked for assistance and staff fixed the issue. After cleaning was completed we came back to our room and no clean towels were provided. We had to ask for towels.

Clean and stylish rooms. Big shower room. Tight room. Lack of heating system - only small portable heater fan.

It's location! You have all that you need at a walking distance, banks, coffee shops, pharmacy, tourist hangouts, town square, excellent price, kind staff. There is very little not to like, maybe the fact that it does not have an elevator to get to the higher floors

Excellent service housekeeping did an amazing job keeping it clean. Their restaurant service is great delicious and courteous. Front desk needs to be more greeting and courteous. Property is super inviting and clean. Walking distance to everything. They didn’t have the beautiful relaxing bar open. Their restaurant was only opened for breakfast and lunch. Most importantly of all the hotel does not provide any information on transportation from and to airport. Very important you make arrangements before arrival.
