Convenient place to stay for the price and close walking distance to a variety of eclectic restaurants. Modern clean rooms as well. I would stay here again.

Kevin, the front desk clerk was trippin', claimed that he had NO information about me when i checked in last Monday; 06.08.26; demanded to show my reservation with confirmation. Hotel Aluxor CONFIRMED my reservation on 06.06..2026, and he claimed he couldn't find it??? Also, hid the room chart that shows what's available and location of each room, and claimed that it is missing, depriving me to see which rooms are available based on type of reservation; then proceeded to give # 263, the farthest room on the 2nd floor, an adjoining room. I have NEVER experienced this kind of customer service at Aluxor before! This guy is cocky, a smart aleck and lies.

The bed sheets looked like they were changed but there was something like sand in the bed. I didn't complain I slept onto of the blanket rapped in my blanket. Also the shower curtain had mildew on it. I won't stay at this property again.

The lobby was dirty, poorly maintained, and staffed by one uninterested individual. However, the room itself was clean and freshly updated. Good beds, new linens, clean and well maintained bathroom. It worked well for a 7 hour stay before an early flight out. And the price was good. But the initial impression? Woof.

Comfortable bed, big room, shower for elderly grandma, clean, had a gym, very close to the airport, has shuttle, cars to push the suitcases, lots os parking spots. Could improve the gym, put some cleaning supplies like an alcohol and paper towels for example. Invest on a newer treadmill.

Pros: Free shuttle to the hotel and to the airport is very useful. The bed is very soft and I absolutely love it. Good value.

Airport shuttle only runs once an hour. If you miss it, you’ll have to wait another hour for the next one. Or pay ~$30 for a ride share or taxi. It’s only a mile and a half away from the airport. So just be aware.

Perfect place to catch a shuttle to the airport. I would not stay here for an extended stay but was perfect for what we needed (transportation to the airport for an early morning flight)

If you need a simple place to stay near the airport, this fits the bill. The parking lot is brightly lit and free for guests. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Noticeable discrepancies that could be tended to (ie: tiling, base boards, lighting, phone line). The toilet in my first room was leaking when flushing. I asked for a new room. They were able to accommodate me within 90 minutes due to the timing of checkout which I was grateful for. A no frills place to stay that meets all of your basic needs when traveling.

Good water pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water. Friendly staff and clean common areas. I didn’t use their parking or any shuttle but was able to be dropped off easily at the front door with ride share option. I believe the Bart if about 15 minute walk if you chose that option. Overall, I’d recommend getting a room if you’re looking for a place closer to SFO

A motel near SFO. The room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable. It also had a refrigerator. The facility was old, but it had been kept reasonably clean. I also thought it would be nice if breakfast were included. The room was spacious and had a small office table and chair, but it was a shame there wasn’t a comfortable sofa.

Mixed review. Single female traveler- the surrounding area is mmm not ideal. Not someplace you’d go out for food alone at night. The lobby was small and left a sketchy impression. The reception person was bare minimal as far as communication. Stayed in the back office. If you need reliable shuttle service from airport- book elsewhere. Shuttle only come once an hour and the driver passed me by resulting in a further 1 hour wait. I will say the different shuttle driver the next day TO the airport was timely, helpful and cheerful. All that said, the room was large, comfortable and had all the amenities needed. Comfortable bed, too.

Room was clean, but property was not in the best of condition. Parking was adequate, and at least at no extra cost. I did leave a denim jacket behind, and when I called back to see if it had been turned in no one had reported anything at lost and found. This of course was my error and is not the fault of the property, but in past stays at different places I have had hotel staff be a bit more helpful and maybe even honest with respect to at least turning in items to lost and found to be recovered. Nonetheless, they were helpful in allowing a very late check in as my flight was delayed coming into town, but did not allow a late check out also due to the same circumstances. Most likely will not return to this place.

The room was a little stuffy and roomy for 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. The only time we saw a staff is check in. The parking is on the premises, and sometimes there are a lot of cars in the parking garage, so you may not find a spot if you come back late. It felt safe and quiet. There's a walkable distance to plenty of food and shops behind the hotel. The casino is not far from the bar area. Overall, it was a safe and roomy hotel to stay.

Room faced busy street- car noise all night. Not good!. Had early flight so booked shuttle. Met in lobby to get shuttle, no shuttle. Your person attempted to contact shuttle, but no response. Due to flight, forced to use an Uber to the airport . We deserve a rebate for the shuttle portion of the price we paid!

There was no dial on the sink to turn the water on and when I asked for one, they said they didn’t have one available. The bath didn’t stay plugged so my toddler was not able to bathe. Also, I paid for a room with a couch and there was no couch in the room. The fridge was also leaking water the whole time I was there and the staff did nothing to fix it.

While this is not a fancy hotel in anyway, the room was beautiful and very comfortable.

The room is in great condition, clean and spacious. Everyday cleaning included. The bath was a nice surprise! The room had a microwave, a mini fridge - all you might need for the stay. Great location - near SFO airport, some restaurants and cafes nearby. Free parking included It was quite cold during the day and especially during the night. Windows are quite poor quality, so wind comes in and out. We used heating to keep us warm, but it also was making the air very dry. Changing the windows is essential

We booked this hotel because it was close to the airport. Unfortunately that meant it was also pretty far from downtown San Francisco. The room itself was good and even had 2 wireless phone charging stations. The housekeeping staff didn’t fully replace coffee and towels after our first night so we were short some stuff on day 2. One day I went to the lobby for coffee at 5:15 am and even though coffee was supposed to start at 4am, the machine was locked and the staff member was asleep on the couch. I didn’t bother waking him. So overall so so experience.

Easy check in. Theres free hotel shuttle service from airport just 1 level up, outside departure. Left side of the road. Though the bus comes every hour but it does take awhile to wait. Buses for Westin, Hyatt, Doubletree buses come more often. Do wrap up warm clothes as it gets cold waiting outside. Hotel is simple. Needs to be updated abit but its ok for a night stay. Big room with microwave. Free coffee at lobby in the morning that was nice. Bed is comfy and massive. Toilet is clean.

From the street the hotel looks nice but nothing exceptional. However the room are laid facing one of two

hand. This is a very expensive scooter! He was also rude to the other passengers in the shuttle. He drove like a maniac and we were so frazzled when we arrived at the airport. The United employees at the airport were exemplary. I would definitely stay at the hotel again if I could be assured we wouldn’t have that driver!

Perfect for what it is, a good place to sleep the night before a flight at SFO airport, as they provide shuttle buses to and from the airport every hour. Clean and large, I was able to take a hot bath which was nice. The location itself is not ideal if you want a quiet place as it is right on the main road of the city and my room was directly outside a gas station, but superb location if you need to catch a flight early in the morning.

Bathroom had mold on ceiling, behind sink in grout and around tub. Room had a spot on the floor needing repair. It was a tripping hazard. Door inside bathroom gouged and needs repair. Room was dusty.

Location and shuttle super convenient for an evening by the airport out of necessity. There are plenty of food spots nearby. Unclean, dingy and sad! My bathroom had several hairs in the bath, on the toilet and on the sink top. Took photos and called reception to report - reception never picked up the phone!

I have stayed there’s about five times and really like the place it’s always clean and convenient for all my flights from SFO I just wished that you had pastries or bagels or croissants to have before going to the Airport with my coffee

Ask for a room upstairs away from the noise of the street though.

But by far into each the worst thing about the place was the thin walls. We were woken up several times during the night by other guests that were just talking to each other or watching TV at a regular volume. We weren’t surprised by the plane noise but that was loud too. When the people next door entered their room it literally sounded like they were in our room We stayed there because we had a very early flight out of SFO. We didn’t get much sleep though so won’t do that again

Simple and clean. Plenty of basic meal options close by. Did the job after longghaul flight.

Facilities were very nice and updated. Clean and spay. Good value and near SFO. My room was right on El Camino Blvd which is busy and the cross walk beeper went off every 3-4 minutes. Very noisy. The shuttle was too small to carry all the pick up areas but the driver crammed everyone on board and partially blocked the door with stacked on luggage. Think we violated multiple safety rules.

Honestly the rooms weren’t as clean as i’d hoped. I always check the bed sheets when I first get there. There was hair on the sheets and stains. Honestly felt kinda dirty sleeping there. Also the shuttle only operates morning till 11:30AM and then back again at 3PM until night (?) It’s not a 24/7 shuttle like they claim on their website so ask ahead or you won’t get a free shuttle ride.

Location, Location, Location actually is a thing, and not a cliche. I booked this hotel as an easier way to depart SFO in the early hours due to lack of transit options. It was a moderate walk from CalTrain station. Food options available very close. Wendy's across the street, and a five minute walk to other local eateries and coffee places in downtown San Bruno. The airport shuttle is NOT 24 hours, so be sure to double check the schedule before booking.

This was our second time at this hotel. We had nothing bad to say about it either time. Staff were helpful and courteous, room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Air conditioning was fine. We used the airport shuttle both times here, and it was great. We would definitely use this hotel in future. Keep up the good work Hotel Aluxor!

Everything was really good I like the place and is really calm the area.

I wanted a stay close to the airport for an early morning flight. Not only was it super close to the airport, they also provided a shuttle service! An unexpected surprise. The room was modern and clean and very quiet. The location was also close to many food and bar options, which is a plus for me. With complimentary coffee and tea in the room and main lobby, I would definitely stay here again.

They didn`t come to pick me up in the airport, and I remained 1 hours alone in the cold, and I didn`t receive their service, and at the same the kept the money, and they don`t want to give back. Horribile.

The location was great for catching my flights at SFO. The hotel was bright and clean. I appreciated how quiet it was inside the hotel. It's starting to show some age and will need some minor maintenance.

The room was clean and in good condition. Although we were close to Camino Real and the airport (SFO) the room was very quiet at night.

It was just an overnight day for transporting to airport early morning flight. Seem kind of a basic place, but the bed was comfortable. They did have a coffee pot in the room, which was nice.

Convenient location to/from airport and to/from BART subway to access San Francisco. Front desk clerk very nice and helpful. Minor complaints are that airport shuttle is only once per hour and my room had a faint unpleasant odor which I was able to address by opening the window.

They are forgetting that the devil is in the details: the handle came off the water spigot in the bedroom; the exhaust above the shower was crusted with dirt.

Room fine although I had messaged ahead to ask for a fold out bed and told there wasnt one, then when we arrived I later discovered there were rooms with three beds which would have been great to know ahead of time. The reception area - first impressions- a bit shabby but the inside common areas are very nice with natural light and comfy sofas. Its was very quiet even through there were lots of rooms. The fitness room was good. One of the reasons we booked this place was that there was an airport shuttle but then we couldnt use it either way as it doesnt run between 11am - 3pm which is when we arrived and onnly goes at set times the rest of the time.

Post cruise stay; Our room was quite large, and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Easy walk from the BART and lots of places nearby to eat. The shuttle was punctual and started at 4:10 A.M. and ran throughout the morning and later in the afternoon for arrivals. Loud noises on from the street, but subsided at night and didn't affect our sleep.

The lobby didn't engender much confidence in the quality and comfort of my impending stay. Neither did the elevator. However, upon reaching my floor, I was pleased that the decor more closely matched what the hotel shares online. At first glance, my room looked pretty nice. Then I found a lamp that didn't work. I didn't consider it a big deal. Next, I used the bathroom. There was only one washcloth. Fine. I'm one person. A couple might have had to go request another. On my first use of the toilet, the flush lever seemed to break. I removed the tank cover and fiddled with the lever and chain. I was able to operate the lever gingerly so I could flush for the length of my stay. All was well until I was about to leave for my 5 a.m. shuttle. The flush lever snapped, just like it had the first time. Rather than fiddle, I left and reported it to the front desk. I also reported the faulty light. I know these are rather minor annoyances. But they reflect on the overall care the management takes in maintaining their facilities. At least the shuttle got me to my terminal in good time. I think I'll look for a different hotel near SFO next time.

If you’re sensitive to noise, the airplanes nearby can be loud at night. Hardwood floors make the place feel clean but can also amplify sounds. I personally am not that sensitive to noise but did wake up a few times from sound. It was a mostly quiet place. I also wished they had individual bedside lamps and breakfast. Overall I felt it was a good option though, for the price.

Pleasant stay - especially for an airport hotel. Parking is great. Location is great. Airpotransfer excellent. The neighborhood was delightful with many small restaurants and a Starbucks, Wendy’s and ihop. Lobby is rather worn, not nice atrium on next floor.

I booked business suite hoping it would be better than regular rooms but it was terrible. Molds and spots are everywhere in the room and bathroom. I am not coming back to this hotel again and recommend same to everyone!! Worst nightmare experience

Parking was easy and secure. The room was very nice. I found the bed hard and internet was spotty at best. Often not available. Cleaning staff was friendly and helpful. The front desk however was less than. No recycling available (important to me). Maintenance was weak. Tub drained slowly. TV turned on unexpectedly at 2:00 am and could not be turned off but shut off by itself and then repeated this sequence until morning. The reason this was so frustrating was that it lit the room like it was early morning. My husband didn’t sleep all night.

AC did not work properly. Mold and hair the bathroom, refrigerator freezer did not work, WiFi was spotty if at all. Hairdryer didn’t work.

Fantastic place for the night. The room was huge, the staff was very friendly, there were multiple food options nearby, and water and snacks to purchase in the lobby. I will definitely stay here again.

The lobby was terrible. I was concerned about my room. I was a female alone and asked for a room that felt secure. They put in the front of the building by a door that was open all the time. The upstairs,where the rooms are, is quite different. It was clean and quiet. My room was clean but not quite. Bed and linens were nice. You really need to replace the carpet. The location was good for me. Not much interaction with the staff except in check in and out. Parking was good.

The room was fairly clean, but there was noticeable damage to the furniture. The staff was unengaging and lacked personality, which made the experience feel a bit cold. There were also no real amenities offered. The water from the dispenser tasted off, which was disappointing. While the room initially appeared clean, we did find a small cockroach during our stay.

It was a spacious, nice room. The staff were friendly. I was on the 2nd floor facing a street and it was noisy while I was sleeping. That was the only issue I had.

We arrived at the hotel early, they told us that if we wanted to check into our room early, it was an extra $20. We were only an hour and a half early they made us stay in the lobby, which was dirty and uncomfortable. The room we booked was changed from a room with two beds to a king bed, which was not suitable for us as we requested two beds we were told the room was sold out so we had to stay in a room with the king bed. Expedia gave us a $50 credit. But the credit is nowhere to be found so they lied about the credit.

Hotel is not far from San Francisco international, very clean and room was nice and very spacious

Bus stop is accross the street, a quick 3 stop ride to the BART station at the mall (which includes Target, BevMo, etc). Last train ride back to San Bruno leaves SF around 1am, an uber from the SB station to hotel is $10 or less. A small business district is a block behind the hotel with Starbucks, local shops, cafes, bars. IHOP is a block north and Wendy's across the street. Chili's, BJs, 7-11, CalTrain are nearby. This former Ramada Inn is recently renovated. The room was modern, clean on the surface, microwave and fridge. Had a second floor unit with a bueatiful view, but there are units facing the busy street and internal courtyards. Parking- at first seemed limited until you realized there was a back lot. Staff... were ok, they did their job, friendly enough, can handle basic tasks but asking for extra hangers was a little beyond their scope. Asked for extra towels and not clean the room, come back the room has been cleaned with no extra towels. Its not a 5 star hotel so no biggie. Now the real part. Upon closer inspection there are areas of opportunity for maintenance. The bathroom shower wall had some light stains on it, the handle on the sink came off, on the last day I noticed an insect (not bed bug) crawling on the sheet. Dried blood stains on floor by elevator, etc. Not a perfect place but ok.

simple hotel by the airport with a big comfy bed. the room came with a microwave and a fridge which were really useful. check in was easy and the staff we met were polite friendly and helpful.

However, my experience at checkout was disappointing. When I showered around 8:45 a.m., the water was cold, and I was barely able to shower. I mentioned this to the front desk at checkout, and instead of apologizing or looking into it, the staff member told me he had showered at 6 a.m. without any issue. That response felt dismissive, as our experiences were clearly different. There was no apology or effort to address the concern — I was simply told “okay, you’re done,” and that was it. While the room itself was fine, customer service matters. A simple acknowledgment or apology would have made a big difference.

The room was in good condition and clean, along with the linens and towels. There are no vending machines and the ice bucket in the room was broken. It also has photos in the review for food, but there is no food offered - just coffee in the lobby. It is a safe and quick stay close to SFO, the Calitrain and BART lines.

This is not a fancy hotel, but it is clean, safe and close to the airport. Perfect for a layover. Comfortable bed and was quiet. The shuttle was convenient as well. Have now stayed there on two occasions and both met our needs.

The location was perfect. Our room was spacious and clean. Only difficulty was the outage of hot water. It would be at various times. Not at "high volume" of it's usage by other guest. It would eventually recover, but caused delay on morning and evening schedules.

Not sure why it’s so highly rated. Pretty mid place along a busy, noisy street. The staff are friendly and its proximity to the airport—with shuttle service—is great. But kind of difficult to sleep well with traffic zooming by 24/7 with frequent horn honking, etc.

Yes the room was spotless. Guy at the desk wasn't very informative. Acted like he hated his job. Shuttle came on time. Great place to overnight before the flight out.

Check in time was good, staff in reception at times I passed by. Unfortunately there was no iron board in the room, and the iron that was inside was leaking the water. I informed the front desk and they told me they ran out. I asked if I can get a replacement since I was there for meetings, he said he will make a note. Nothing was followed up after that and remained with the old iron and no iron board. Just ironed my clothes on the bed.

My room was in the older part of the building. The room was relatively clean and spacious, unfortunately the walls are paper thin, and the noise from the next room (TV, phone conversation, shower, etc.) and the coming and going of guests checking in and out kept me up all night. Furthermore, the shuttle either did not show up or showed up early at the International Terminal and did not wait until the scheduled time, requiring a costly cab ride to the hotel.

This place is near the airport and really seems like the only reason to book it. There was a point where I stood at the front desk (in the middle of an afternoon) for 10 minutes until someone came to talk to me. The cleaning lady saw me and had to text the staff and she told me someone would b eon their way. The lobby wasn't anything special, the waiting areas are right outside all the rooms so it feels weird to be sitting right outside someone's front door. The room was clean though.

So, I looked at reviews about the Aluxor before booking here. They were mixed and I can see the reasons now. If you are looking at high end hotels then this place may not be for you. I on the other hand am not that way. This place was clean and looked like it had been recently renovated. The room was excellent and had plenty of space. It also had all of the amenities we needed. It was close to the airport which was nice when leaving. It also offers a free shuttle. It was close to plenty of family-owned restaurants, so we had plenty of choices to eat. The staff was extremely friendly and answered any questions and/or requests that we had. I would definitely book here again when visiting the San Francisco area.

The room was clean and spacious as was the bathroom. Good shower with awesome pressure and plenty of hot water. While I didn't have a car, they do offer free parking which is ALWAYS a nice perk. The shuttle was nice, although it has seen better days. Train station is about a 15-20 minute walk and that takes you right into San Francisco. The snack station was not well stocked, but plenty of bottled water. The building itself is nice, but very chilly. The cost was very reasonable and would definitely suggest this place for a trip here.

It's a decent, affordable and convenient to the airport hotel. Also, they were very kind to keep our bags for us until late while we went into the city even though we weren't staying that night.

Lobby needs to be more appealing but main part of hotel looks nice. Staff at check in was horrible. No help at all when asking questions about the area. Very convenient to have tons of places to eat nearby and CalTrain a few blocks away. Shuttle service isn’t too convenient when needing to get picked up. Ended up taking an Uber on the way back to the airport. Felt safe in the neighborhood. No breakfast like it says when you search it up.

There were a few random, broken things in our room like the toilet paper holder and towel holder and the noise from the street was VERY loud, but overall, the room was clean and the hotel overall had a really cool vibe! Good parking. No breakfast. Hot chocolate was out on their coffee machine in lobby.

I would recommend this hotel. Excellent hotel!

However, front desk only gave me one key knowing there was 2 people in the room. Room was nice and clean. Pillows were weirdly shaped but comfortable. But glad to have some amenities in the room like a fridge and microwave (I didn’t use them but it was great to have). The quality of the room overall was great. Major negative was the morning front desk person who didn’t give anyone the time of day and barely popped up his head from his phone. Having an airport drop off was very handy.

Which was not safe because we propped the door open so that we could get back in. So if that is ever left open, then anybody could enter the back of the building. And no one would know very unsafe. I noticed there was a camera above But I doubt that they used it. So most likely will not stay here again. We'll look for different hotels in the area.

The Airport shuttle is totally misrepresented on the purchase site! I called the hotel three times for an airport shuttle and was told the wait would be an hour. I waited for the Aluxor shuttle precisely 1 hour and 35 minutes standing at the shuttle stop! Once the Shuttle arrived, I questioned what took him so long and he simply replied it is their normal schedule! NOT WHAT THE WEBSITE SAYS.

I encountered a problem with the room as soon as I walked in (it smelled really bad and the door was left unlocked) and the staff was quick to believe me and immediately assign to me a new room. The new room was very clean. The shuttle service was good. Overall a clean and comfortable place with no frills. Good for short stays or if just looking for a place to crash.

A weird hotel. The layout has the views from half the rooms looking out across at other rooms. Much of the electricity in my room did not work and I needed to switch rooms after being told that they were sold out.

This is a great hotel if you have a connecting for early morning flight. Rooms are spacious and clean. There is no restaurant and the coffee maker doesn’t work. 24 hour “store” only takes cash.

One of the young front desk staff was not friendly or helpful. I asked for extra bag for ice twice in different days and he simply said NO pretty emotionlessly without even making any efforts to look for it. I know they hadit because when I talked to the other guy later he was able to provide it.

Big beautiful, clean rooms. The shower stayed hot the ENTIRE time that I showered. The staff was friendly. I would stay there again.

Need more lights in room, only 3 in room

There were either bed bugs or roach infestation. A ton of road noise. Pros were that its very close to the airport and shuttle arrived on time. Aside from the pests, the room decor was updated but it is very dark with no overhead lights. I would not stay here again.

The hotel staff did a nice job taking care of us. The one thing that I would correct is the room lighting. None of the lighting in the room, with the exception of the cling entry light was adequate. In the main portion of the room, it was very dimly lighted.

Hotel is ok, but the room was right next to ElCamino road so it was noisy all night long.

Half the lights and electrical plugs didnt work. none of the usb plugs worked. Dont stay on the units facing El Camino. Super loud. Poor sound insulation.

Bed is not comfortable, bathroom is dirty and worn out, shower not good not draining well. Left my bracelet on the table and they said they did not see it. Poor service.

I loved how close it was to the shuttle and the easy public transportation. There’s a Walgreens nearby too which is very convenient

Great place to crash and get a ride to the airport in the morning. Shuttle is scheduled, and they'll ask you to sign up for your time upon check in. Beds, bathroom were clean and comfortable. We'd had a long day and it was a good place to crash at. Thank you!

Clean Rooms, The lobby of the Hotel and the back elevator could use some renovation. The front desk person was friendly, the 1st impression is kind of depressing but once you get to the room it's not bad at all. The neighborhood is interesting with lots of small restaurants.

Don’t book this hotel. The room had an open drain in the shower that smelled like a sewer. Everything was grimy.

Easy check in, clean room, convenient airport shuttle

Having waited an hour for the shuttle bus the check in was fine and quick. Unfortunately the coffee machine wasn’t working which annoyed me as I was desperate for a coffee. The reception guy didn’t know what to do about it so no just had water instead. The shower curtain is too small and the water flooded to bathroom floor!! The room is nice though and the bed very comfortable. Clean too.

The room was clean and very nice. I knocked it down to 4 stars because of the noise. Everyone the neighbor room shut the door it slammed and was very loud plus the people upstairs sounded like a heard of elephants running around

Only suggestion is to have blackout blinds. The shutters are pretty the light coming through them is very bright.

It is obvious why this hotel is no longer linked to Ramada. NO BREAKFAST. Bottled water and snacks are offered at cut throat prices CASH ONLY. I would never book this hotel again
