Great staff and amenities

As always the Tru hotels are a good place to stay, myself and wife travel a lot and we like to stay at Tru because they offer a great value for what you paid, but lately we've noticing that the breakfast offerings have dropped in quality and variety. Besides that the hotel is good

The room was clean. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good. Handcap parking was near the front door and made it very easy to enter the inn.

. I arrived and there was caked on poop stuck to the inside of the toilet bowl. It wasn’t subtle and it’s clear I couldn’t trust the room to have been cleaned. I received no empathy or apology from the front desk. He did offer to change rooms but my stuff was already settled and I had no faith any room would be properly cleaned. Highly disappointed.

The staff was nice and helpful, but I will not be staying there again. No Microwave or coffee makers in the rooms. The showers are developing mold in the corners. Breakfast egg omelets were like rubber. The clothes iron in the room ruined a pair of my pants because of buildup on the iron.

Neither my room nor the hallways were clean. Convenient location but facilities need to be better maintained.

It is really a great hotel with all the amenities you are looking for and then they go out of the way to make it better your stay. The rooms a re very clean and the beds very comfortable for a good night sleep, The breakfast is very vastand offers a good variety of plates plus the fruit is very well varied in selection, the mini Hot Cakes machine is neat and to watch. The location is just perfect for a ton of variety of restaurants and a super market close to the hotel. You have a lot of options at walking distance from the hotel to explore, very well located as well.

All was good here. The room was spacious and comfortable. I did not care for the breakfast because the yogurt machine was broken the entire time I was there and the eggs were like rubber discs! I wish there had been a microwave in the room.

I liked the fact there is no carpet! Unfortunately, the rooms are tiny. There is no coffee machine in the room or closet. The food was very limited with limited choices. Coffee at coffee station was watered down a lot.

Price and location is what we liked most. Very clean and staff was professional and kind. Shower head and toilet was not working properly Elevator was not working. Staff told us they had company out several times to fix and they have not been able to do so at the time of our stay.

It was a new facility so it was clean. It was close to my conference with plenty of restaurants in walking distance.

The breakfast was great with many options and well stocked. The staff was very helpful. Our first room did have evidence of bed bugs either current or in past. We asked to move rooms and staff was very helpful to make that happen. Would recommend staying here.

The bed felt and sounded like an old spring mattress from the nineties, they used a dust ruffle as a blanket (not even kidding), there was mold in the shower and the sealant around the door was peeling and hanging off. The water pressure was very poor and only one of the three desk staff were pleasant toward guests, including us. The others acted bothered that people were speaking to them - especially the younger woman with the long dark hair. The air conditioning unit was groaning and making noise which wasn’t great to listen to while we were trying to sleep and the phone in the room didn’t work at all. I was told that yes, some of the phones don’t work but we could use cell phone to call the front desk - except no one would answer when we did. Considering what we paid to stay there, we should not have been dealing with issues like this. I’ve had better stays in cheap one star establishments.

The staff were very nice and the room was very clean. However, the mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable. I don’t have back problems but whenever I would wake up my upper back would always hurt. Due to this, I probably would not stay here again. Other than that, everything else was great.

The shower had mold in the corners, so although the room looked clean, it was far from being clean. Also, I had an incident where several things were left in the room electronic charging cable plugged and serval other things. When I called the front desk 4 hour after I left, they said that the general manager was out and that they would have to call tomorrow when he was back in. They said nothing was turned in. I know that it was my fault, but you would think there would be honest people out there.

The bar fo soap was so small it was the size of whay would normally be thrown out and was barely enoufh for 2 people to use because the cleaning staff only came wvey other day. The room was some sort of mi n imalist design. No closets and i dont think there were any drawers either. I will never stay there again even though I will be traveling thwre to visit nu son and family often.

Once our family was able to get into our room, we found that there were corners cut when cleaning the room. There were dried out chicken pieces and other food on the floor and we had to wear shoes to walk around the room. It felt very icky to stay in the room and unfortunately we had booked 2 nights because we had an all day event on Saturday. We left after the 2nd night and headed to a Holiday Inn Express (in a different city) and it was a night and day difference. It highlighted the level of filth we experienced at Tru and the overall lack of comfort Tru offered. I also want to note that there was a very rude female working the front desk. She became frustrated and walked away. Another staff member had to come work the desk the rest of the evening. Very dissapointing.

You need to ask for the complimentary waters. The pillows are so thin that you get a kink in your neck. 90% of the parking is for compact vehicles.

We stayed 6 nights while visiting our USAF son and family. Pros: Room was fine. Clean. Like the "no carpet" look. Convenient to freeway. Cons: 1. No breakfast available on 1st day(New Years Day). 2. Room never serviced (towels, Toilet paper) despite 3 complaints to desk. 3. Additional $75 charged after I got home for "pet charge". I don't own a pet. Call to Hilton said charge was a mistake and would be removed in "3-5 business days". That was 11 days ago. Email never returned. We expect better customer service from Hilton. Still waiting 2 weeks after we checked out for a response.

Was a bit hot even with ac on

All was great, but I did find someone's dirty socks under the sink. Extra toilet paper in the rooms would be nice sice there were 3 of us. Also the soap dispensers were mostly empty. Rooms could have been looked over before new guests arrive

On the last day, there were no staff onsite in the morning to fix breakfast or coffee. Someone arrived at 8:15, they were able to fix coffee, but it was full of coffee grinds The rooms were to warm, and the hallways had no A/C

not much Place was difficult to find. the hallways were dirty, my room was not clean, dirty and a pill near bed. No hair dryer in room, took two calls to get one. staff was not friendly, very aloof. Breakfast was horrible, pancakes were raw and oatmeal was cold, the heater was off. Overall not a nice place to stay.

Room was very good and clean, the staff was courteous and helpful. Only issue was the morning breakfast, not at all close to Hilton standards, slim pickings. Pan cake machine was broken every day, if it worked it worked for short time, Bagel machine kept breaking apart, hopefully they will improve till my next stay.

The bed was very comfy and the location was convenient. The staff were not super friendly but we only needed them for check in and check out. The only big complaint I had was about the AC not getting the room cool and that the shower water was lukewarm at max.

When I got into my room I found there was no TV remote so I tried to call down to reception, but the phone didn't work. I then called reception with my cell and there was no answer. I went down to reception and no one was there. I waited about 10 minutes and the staff member returned from doing other tasks. She immediately got me a remote and I was all set. It is a concern that the phones weren't working as if there was an emergency you had no way to contact anyone.

Front deskstaff evening was every polite she gave us a lot places to visit we did and enjoyed it thanks to the lady at the front desk who iwish i had gotten her name.

We found our stay here for business to be acceptable. We did find a few stray hairs on our sheets and are hoping that they were accidently left by the housekeeper. Breakfast was nicely laid out and had enough options. The driveway to get back to the hotel is a hard to miss if you are not looking for it. All in all this is a decent place to stay with lots of options for food in the area. There is also a Target half a mile away so if you forget to bring something it's an easy stop.

Good place to stay. One complaint dog owners need to pick up after their doggies. I can’t believe I saw poop bags available but not being used by the dog owners.

Everything went well aside from our shower being out of soap upon arrival. No other complaints.

The elevators were out of service, and unfortunately, management did not notify me. When I inquired at the front desk, they asked if management had contacted me about the issue, to which I replied in the negative. This was a disappointing experience, especially considering that this location is one of my favorites.

The thermostat for the AC was broken, you couldn’t know what temperature you were setting for your room. The floor in the room was sticky, and has a bad smell (like they used a dirty mop).

Do not book this hotel through Hotels.com. I paid for my reservation and when I showed up at 11:30 pm, they did not have a room for me. I had to scramble and find another hotel.

However, the noise from the room above was a significant issue. On both nights, we could hear every single step the guests above us took. It was a very loud and disruptive experience. I've stayed in many hotels, but I've never experienced this level of noise from another room. I'm not sure if it's a design flaw in the building, but the lack of comfort due to the constant noise really impacted our sleep and overall experience.

The hotel was nice and clean. I really wish someone would have called us beforehand to let us know the elevator was broken. We carried all of our stuff up to the second floor with 2 kiddos in tow. There was no hand soap in the bathroom and no swimming pool to my knowledge. Just something to keep in mind when entertaining kiddos. Overall a decent stay for the price we paid.

It’s a new build there is construction everywhere, the elevator didn’t work but the staff was nice. Couldn’t sleep because someone or something was stomping or keeping up noise allllllllll night long.

On our second morning I went to the breakfast at 8:30 and nothing was left. I took the last hard boiled egg and last bagel. I felt sorry for the guy behind me he only had options of cold cereal and toast. I know it was over at 9 but that’s ridiculous not to have anything out at 8:30. A other guest had a dog which is ok but they didn’t clean up after it. There is a grass area by the side exit door and they left the dogs waste in the grass which my husband stepped in. Not ok. And their room was near ours and every time they opened the door it would squick very load. Also the room only has 1 chair. So either my husband sat in the chair and I had to sit on the bed or he sat on the bed and I sat in the chair. Not comfortable for more than 1 person. I see why in most of the comment people only stay for 1 or 2 day. 6 is way to long for this hotel.

It was a good experience overall. Although, I would improve the food section, there was flies on the food area. The coffee was cold in the afternoon. The staff in the afternoon was in constant conversation that went for a long time while at work.

It was easy check in fast. But the minute you walk in there was crumbs on floor underthe bed i could see them standing from the frige crumbs on the chairs and hand prints by the tv wall as a person you think if they didnt bother to clean that why would they clean the rest right .

A very clean hotel, simple but nice! Front desk employees are very friendly. Very good quality breakfast amazingly handled by one person on the floor. And she has lovely smile on her face the whole morning!👍👍

We like to stay at Tru. This is a minimalistic hotel but it will be nice to have two chairs in the room.

Everything was perfect from checking in to checking out just no TV in a real bad moment, will be getting a discount from hotel though so still 5 star worth

Good stay in San Antonio. Just overnight for a wedding very convenient to Hwy 287

desk was not wiped down they stated sorry stayed that way until room was tended to. did provide shampoo and body wash which was nice, breakfast was decent, coffee in evening was cold. staff was friendly room for most part was very clean except the desk part. close to shopping felt safe staying here. AC broken in work out room and no fan extremely hot and humid and desk stated ac had not worked for a month or so.

Excellent customer service, very clean facilities, and a great location.

Poor communication. Started initially when trying to get in contact regarding the room phone. Kept getting a busy dial tone. Upon arrival was told there would be a fire drill the following day. Simple as that. The next day fire alarms began at 6:30am and continued through out the day. That also included no use of elevators and loss of all water in the building. When I confronted the desk that answer was that it was just for the day which was the only day I was staying. Tried to check out the following morning and there was no one at the front desk to speak to. Definitely should have provided a more honest answer as to what to expect with the drill. Would have changed where we booked for sure.

Overall good. Issues: shower hot water strange: turn water barely on and wait. No marking H or C just two blue dots. Also wish location had a pool and a bar as most tru locations do.

Decent stay. Room was dirtier than expected. Footprints on the ground and residue around soap dispensers. Breakfast was not ready for anbout an hour after breakfast time was supposed to start. All in all not bad, just not a great stay by any means.

Very clean and modern hotel with plentiful amenities. Bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was really good!! Definitely will stay again on my next vacation.

The parking lot has way too many compact spots and people park like garbage. Gym opens at 7am. The staff is nice and lets us in but seriously just open earlier. Peloton will not connect to WiFi. It is literally useless. Rooms are a tad small. They work but it’s pretty small.

Sent to a room under construction, lighting fixtures not installed, dirty towel in bathroom. Sent to another room that smelled horrible. Rediculously loud guests. Hot water for tea etc.. was not hot. Microwave not working. Front desk had not name tags and looked like they just walked off the street.

Overall the stay was good. Was upset with room service. I had asked for things that had finished. I was told that when house keeping would get there they would take it so my room. I never received it.

This is a great property and you can’t beat the price. I was not expecting a hot/cold free breakfast to be included. This is a great option for those just wanting a stay over. Bed and linens were clean,great quality and comfy. The area around this hotel was upscale with many restaurant and shopping choices.

Ft desk and breakfast service was good, and helpful. Our rm had some lights out and hallway floor really needed vacuuming.

Lots of close and easily accessible shopping and dining options. Hotel was overall very clean. Main front desk person was a little abrasive and not very friendly. Breakfast was overall good, except the eggs as they were just watery mush on scrambled days.

Everything was very well kept and family friendly. It was very comfortable for my family and our dog. Would gladly stay there anytime!
