    The staff was exceptional! Johnny, Rudy, Julio. All incredibly nice with great recommendations and suggestions in the area. Always welcoming and warm. Offering cookies and water in nearly every interaction. Special shout out to Victor! Shared some the hotels haunted history and created some magic for us. Thanks for a great stay!

    With in walking distance to everything. Bars,entertainment,Alamo,downtown . Pool was closed for maintenance,weight room was great and clean. City view is great at night.Donot know his name, but gentleman at front desk was real friendly and polite. Went out of his way to help you. Hotel is really clean and all people were friendly and polite. Would defiently book again.

    The responses to an issue. Valet brought our vehicle back from their lot full of ants and did not offer to clean it. Drove 4 hours home with ants all over our clothes, food, and luggage.

    I loved my stay here. The room was beautiful, and it was a great location. The staff was wonderful. However, the pool was closed, and the gym bathroom could use more work. Having water bottles in the rooms and in the gym was really cool, and the warm cookie at check-in is a nice touch.

    Did not know that there is a parking fee of 50.00 a night. When I got the bill that was charged to my credit card, it included 90.00 in extra charges even though I tipped the Valet each day.

    Pool was shut down for repairs, they didn't let us know that when we called ahead. Bartender was terrible. Parking for the valet was 55$. Room was a typical room. Location was great. Front desk staff was amazing.

    The rooms were very nice and clean. The restrooms were not very private. There is a sliding glass door which does not allow much privacy if you are sharing a room. Rooms were a little pricey considering that you have to pay $35 or $50+ for valet parking or higher at night for parking. Breakfast was not included in the room price. Staff were friendly. After checkout my card was charged $521 extra and I had to call them to have it corrected.

    I do have to mention The awesome and friendly staff they have there. Rudy at the front desk was so pleasant and informative as was Tonie who made me a cup of tea in the morning.. Thank you so much for that Tonie. And then the maintenance man Abel who was quite entertaining with his stories and was very helpful! Thank you all for allowing me to spend my birthday in a very nice place.

    Room was not cleaned well, was changed rooms and that room also had cleanliness issues with hairs sticking to the doors and on door handles. Since we had already been moved due to previous cleanliness issues, I was too worried about bringing up.

    Came here for my daughter‘s birthday and it was a wonderful day. We got there late in the evening and checked out the next day, but we got to walk and see the Alamo and some of the other surrounding areas. Great time thoroughly enjoyed it would definitely stay again.

    First of all the hotel didn’t have any air-conditioning. Therefore, the air smelled very unpleasant. Secondly, the dishes in the restaurant were dirty. Lastly, the photos on Expedia showed that the two beds were in the same room, but in the actual room, the two beds were in separate rooms and there’s a bathroom in between them. That made it very awkward to move around.

    Oddly enough didn’t know this hotel was haunted until some lady told us about it in the elevator. We stayed two nights and on night two after midnight, our room phone began to ring. Upon answering the line, it stayed silent before hanging up.

    I was able to get a room with no problem. The room was very small. Barely enough room for the bed and TV stand. There was no parking. That was the worst of it all. I had to pay for valet or public parking. Horrible situation in my opinion.

    The air conditioner didn’t work the first day and we weee given a fan. We had No hot water in the shower. Day 2 the found out that someone turned off the air conditioner up in the roof. They got the air conditioner to work, but the thermostat did not. still no hot water. We never got any help with the hot water. It was very disappointing based on the type of location that it is. The best thing was the staff was very friendly. We were hoping for a offer to change rooms but to solutions we’re ever offered

    Great friendly and knowledgeable staff, Alamo/city view was beautiful, the restaurant/bar was nice, quiet, comfortable, everything was wonderful except that the bathroom tub in our room had something in the drain from last visitors, what looked like a pink ribbon. Overall stay was still excellent, great nights rest.

    The location. That is all. The filters were filthy like caked on dust and we had to request them to be changed twice for both of the rooms we rented. We had to change one of the rooms because it was super humid and only few outlets worked and the bathroom light was out. The second room no matter what temperature ac was set on it was freezing and it never turned off. The whole family ended up with terrible allergies from the hotel the first night staying there. Do not take a baby to stay there for this reason alone. This hotel used to be better than this. Huge disappointment overall.

    As expected, it’s an old building but I figured it would be in better shape as a Hilton hotel. The room we stayed in never cooled down below 75 degrees. The hallways and common areas were cooler than our room. There was a fan in the room, which leads me to believe the property management knows about the cooling issues. Had I known the room would stay hot, I definitely wouldn’t have booked here. It’s difficult to sleep in a hot room, even with a fan. Valet should be a convenience, however at this property it was an inconvenience with the one way street causing delays. We waited about 25 mins for our car. Overall, the stay was okay at best. Definitely will not be a returning guest.

    The room was in need of many repairs several things were not working in the suite we stayed in. The heat and a/c the spa tub all needed a main person to fix . No pool but hotels.com did not say it had been drained . The food was ok eggs from a container, ok sausage and bacon , and the fruit was all out of season and most over ripe . So it was not good at all . And one option for yogurt . Kinda weak for 20 something dollars each . The cookies are great thought . You get those when u come in . The view was amazing and the staff were some of the best people I’ve meet in San Antonio and I live here . All in all I expected the full service open the door for you welcome u clean nice working room and all the amenities advertised. That was not what we got at all . I’d go again if they had a lot of repairs done to the rooms. I have plenty of pics of the actual if everything if needed . Don’t book through hotels.com !!!! That’s the facts .found that out the hard way . And the additional fee per person to ensure u get what ur paying for is a total scam . I was told it doesn’t cover that . Good luck guys . Book three Hilton the staff will be able to make it right .

Comfortable shower. The AC was not working, maintenance went in to “fix it” on the first night and it was cooling a bit, but by the early morning it was once again hot. That evening when we returned at about 10pm, we had to call the front desk again about having the AC fixed, they ended up moving us to a different room.     The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 was the valet. We had a lot of stuff & two dogs. The valet was awesome, but it stressed me out having to valet & get everything on the cart & grab everything & over excited pups, since we had just drove from Houston. Anywho, we tipped the valet later in cash, instead of the app. The next morning when we called the valet it took over 20 minutes to get the car, which is fine but when viewing the app we started as number 4 on the queue & then dropped to 2 but then it reset & showed as if we had picked up the vehicle & there was no way to call for it again or reach out to them. We were checked out at this point he came about 5 min later. All in all lovely stay. Will be back.

    Historic building, great location. However it is not well maintained. The swimming pool is closed for maintenance(it looks like it has been on maintenance for a while), only 1 elevator working for the whole place, lobby doesn't like it has been cleaned for a while ( we found a margarita glass on one of the tables that has been on a table for so long that you couldn't move it), ice machines broken, the service at the restaurant for breakfast was very poor, bedding at our bedroom was dirty and stained.

They honored our booking. 😊 The wait staff at the restaurant told my son that breakfast was included...it was not. $25 per person is very expensive for a breakfast buffet.     We booked these rooms for our daughter’s 14th birthday with friends. We were not told at booking or check in that the pool was out of order. Needless to say that was a major disappointment for the kids and a major inconvenience for us. Kids want to swim when at a hotel. It was a top priority for us when choosing to book. Everything else was top notch.

    The history of the hotel is fascinating and the location is wonderful but otherwise not worth it. They do not have a working pool as advertised, and have you walk 2 blocks to a La Quinta to swim, the elevators work sometimes, the key cards stopped working and despite engineering coming to work on them we had to be moved to a different room after the hotel had to break in for us to be able to get our things. The bar is convenient, the coffee is amazing, but the food is terrible and not worth paying for. We’ve stayed at the Crockett and the Menger and unfortunately The Emily Morgan does not compete with either of them.

    Beautiful hotel right across the street from the Alamo. Close to Riverwalk and mall. Safe area and walking friendly. Hotel staff were amazing, the room was beautiful and service was perfect, new towels and coffee each day no matter how late we slept in. We cancelled next hotel to stay here 2 days longer.     Wife found bug in shower to begin with, the view from our room was horrible, looking into and old empty pool and to other balconies. Also the room was pretty small. The room seemed like it was put together just to make it work but definitely not worth the money. Needless to say we won't be staying here again. The staff was great though.

    The hotel is conveniently located to downtown attractions. We could easily walk to nearly all the San Antonio major attractions. The room was well designed. I liked having a refrigerator to keep water cold daily. Bathroom was large. There is a restaurant in the lobby.

    Rodolfo at the front desk was friendly and very helpful. When the key card machine was needing to be reset he took us the the room to get settled and brought the keys a short time later. Which had been upgraded which was extra special as it was my wife and my anniversary

    The staff at the Emily Morgan so attentive and ready to serve a guest with what ever they require to make their stay comfortable. This property is walkable, easy access to food and shopping. I did take 1 star away because of the thermostat. I could not adjust the room temperature independent of a maintenance worker. To his credit, when the room was too warm he responded quickly but then the room was too cold and again, i could not adjust the thermostat. This could have been my room only? Roon 411. Or all rooms, im not certain. If I stay again and have the same issue, ill be calling maintenance serval times daily for thermostat adjustment. To be clear, I loved this property, i appreciated the architecture and preservation of history. The staff is amazing.

    John the concierge was fabulas, everyone there, the whole staff was great. Weve stayed at The Crocket, Menger, La Contesa, La Mansion and no staff was better than the Emily Morgan. We loved it. We go to San Antonio about 3x a year for weekend getaways. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

    So when we got there, we were greeted fine, but we had a hard time going to sleep. Here comes 3 o’clock, and we started hearing arguing mind you we were barely getting to sleep, but we were awakened by arguing from the connecting room next to us in 805 I believe because we were in 804. The man there started slapping around his girlfriend, and I recorded it. He argued with her and screamed at her at the top of his lungs for over an hour and was slapping her and slapping her then he started slamming her against the walls and throwing stuff around the room. He was slapping her at least more than 30 times and she was screaming and crying. It was horrific. I was terrified for my own life being as I was a victim prior years ago, and I told myself I would never go through that again, but last night, scared the living crap out of me and my daughter. I called the front desk and the girl there giggled and laughed as I told her that I didn’t want them to know what room I was in when they went up to the room. The giggle and laugh made it seem like it was not nothing to worry about like if I was exaggerating or something. I really thought he was gonna kill that girl. It was absolutely horrible that every time he slammed her against the wall it shook. So when I called back down again, the girl was a little rude and passive aggressive. I did not appreciate how she just scooted under the rug basically how the situation went down. Basically the front desk went up there with someone to go

    We had to pay for parking at 33$ per night . You list parking as an amenity. Put there is no free parking . I paid $200 plus for a room that was so small my wife and I could not walk past reach without running into each other . Absolutely horrible and listed as a 5 star hotel . What a joke ! The buffet food was also horrible . Pure grease and the coffee tasted like water! I would never recommend this hotel and will be submitting a review in Google to avoid this place .

    This hotel is beautiful with great views. The only issue we had was that we tried to order room service after 10 and we were told the start arrive a little after 11. We tried several times after 11 and no one still answered. Also- there is no parking and valet is $55.
