Motel 6 Sallisaw, OK

The room had been updated but the bath had not. The tiles were worn and unkempt. The faux wood floor could have been more clean and dirt free.

We only stayed one night. The room was ok ~ It is a dated motel but pretty much what we expected for the price. The pillows were too thin so if you want a good nights sleep, bring your own :) Wear socks to keep your feet clean, but other than that the room was clean. The only thing concerning was the gap in the door ~ it really should seal better.

There is a large TV, good lighting in the room. The room was cool when I arrived. There is an ice machine right around the corner. The clerk was helpful and processed my reservation quickly. The motel has been here a long time so it is not anything that can be changed. The traffic noise and there is a nearby train track that invites a noisy train in the middle of the night. I knew this going in so it's nothing that can be changed.

Friendly staff and large room. First room the tv was broken and the toilet was leaking, then we were moved to another room which was not the cleanest, and in the morning we went to get our drinks from the fridge and realized the fridge wasn't working. The room smelled musty.

Nothing! Scary location!!! Cockroaches crawling on the walls. Slept with the lights on and my clothes on!!! Flies coming out of the bathtub drain!!! Locals who live there sitting in their cars just hanging out. Strung out drug addicts. Kids running in and out of hotel rooms. Room was non refundable or I would have RUN!!!! SCARY PLACE DO NOT STAY HERE EVER!

The lady that checked me in gave me exactly what i asked for privacy! But i paid for a double queen and got 1 queen and a bed frame for s queen. Tv wouldn't work, i had to go buy a streaming device, i can't stand the quiet queen i have to share a wall all on sides. Fridge didn't work, microwave didn't work. I had bug bites on me from the couple hours i tried to sleep, i had to get up super early and leave. But they were very very nice. The facility is just not kept up enough and in bad shape. I used to love staying here when i needed a break. I appreciate the staff trying!

Checked into the hotel beside dirty sheets, it smell like Pine-sol worn out towels, just disgusting

One of the worst night sleep I have had in a long time and worst room I have had. EVER. The refrigerator was unplugged when we arrived. Water pressure was so strong you got your cloths wet to wash your hands. People knocking on doors at all hours of the night for who knows what reason. Loud train whistle from 2-5 am. Floor was sticky !!! Yuck. Will never stay at motel 6 again

Starting with the mattress. The sheets did not seem to be washed. Upon further inspection the mattress and mattress cover were stained, and not in a natural wear kind of way. There was a sticky candy substance behind the mattress. Next was clientele. We were one of the only cars in the parking lot, but there was unusual amount of foot traffic coming and going from a few rooms. It was uncomfortable and not conducive to a family environment. From the minute you walked into the rooms you could smell what I can only describe as someone trying to cover up the aftermath of smoking illegal substances. We would like a refund through Expedia, but I doubt that will happen. Also, some of the pictures for this motel location are inaccurate. The lobby does not look like the pictures. We ended up leaving and staying somewhere else within 30 minutes of inspecting the room.

Quiet and safe ! Big rooms, clean. The blankets were however not clean, people long hair all in them.

I love staying at Motel 6! I’m in Sallisaw at least once a month am I’ll stay there every time I’m in town!

The rooms need improvement in the bathrooms. Sheets and towels were badly stained.. Made me feel that they weren't clean. Worse of all my bed had bed bugs. Had to wash all my things and doctor really itchy bites. And no coffee pot.

Everything was nice and quiet no loud noise and sleep very well in comfortably bed. Was tired from working all night on 12 hours shift. And did a 4 hour drive to every thing was good.

The room was very clean. The hotel still shows signs that it had built many years ago, but it is a clean, modernized, and good looking room. I really liked the dinette they installed in the room. The wifi was quick too.

Lady at the front desk was very friendly. Room was very dirty. Sheets were dirty. Several roaches noticed within a few minutes of walking in the room. Took the key back to the front and told her we would be going somewhere else because of the condition of the room. She said she would issue a refund through Expedia, but never did.

Motel 6 Sallisaw provides a comfortable stay with excellent value for the price. The rooms are tidy and equipped with essential amenities, making for a convenient and pleasant experience. They are well-maintained and serve their purpose effectively. Overall positive experience and great value at low price.

TV reception was poor and fluttered making the image impossible to see. Bed was good and very comfortable. Shower head was low so I had to crouch underneath it (I’m 5’7”).

The hotel room I got looks like it’s held together with a prayer. It’s disgusting, rundown, and there’s a half inch gap of light under the front door. There is little to no maintenance done on this building, and what maintenance is done, looks like it was done as cheap as possible.

The room was clean. The gentleman who checked me in was very nice and friendly. I did like the bigger bathroom as well.

Upon our check-in, manager said that a couple of weeks before, he cancelled one of our rooms through Expedia as he only has their contact info. We never heard of a cancellation. The manager called Expedia right the way. We also called Hotels.com right the way. We were only able to get one agent at Hotels.com who confirmed that our reservation was still as intended and no cancellation had ever been registered. However, we trusted the manager and his calls with Expedia. The manager was kind, apologetic and understanding. He offered a roll-up bed and other bedding to accommodate us into one room only. In the end, because of the discussion with Hotels.com, the manager gave us two rooms as intended and decided to deal with the situation with the next customer. One other troubling situation was the payment. There was a random lady's name and credit card affiliated to our name and address, i.e. whose payment was made to one of our rooms. We verified that the credit card was not one of ours, and so we made the payment for our two rooms, but that lady's name and payment was not allocated for her room. Maybe not be tech-savvy but it was still worrisome. Finally, it is a Motel in the middle of nowhere border of OK and AR. Drunk motorcyclist couple argued & yelled into the night (sexual abuse/domestic violence). I called 911, who did nothing. Blood splatter on ceiling of room 116. Beds & linens were comfortable and clean though.

Confirmed reservation 3 times since March 10th, last time with April 6th for an overnight stay on the 7th. Motel 6 Manager said my reservation was cancelled by Travelocity, but didn't produce any e-mail comfirmation on cancelation. Wanted to rent us a a room for $199, instead of my $65 Travelocity price. I canelled nothing. Travelocity CS had a que wait time, left phone number, no return call, told Motel 6 manager to keep his overpriced room, told him we won't be back to a place that will not honor their obigations.

This hotel is the perfect place for me to stop on the way to see my son at college. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. It makes it easier for me to be able to drive half way after work on a Thursday & finish the next day.

I booked two nights. The first night I was ATE UP by BED BUGS. I complained at the front to get my money back and they refunded money for the night I didn’t stay and REFUSED to refund even a percentage of the night I did stay and got bit back nasty bugs. My friends stayed in the other end of the facility and also were bitten. And had the same issue getting a refund.

The room had a clogged drain in the bathroom and it was late when we got off work so they gave us a new and better room and the staff helped us move our things very helpful staff.

This motel was pretty gross. Was it cheap? Sure, but you still have some basic expectations. There's very strange furniture in the room, like a strange corner bench that looks like it came from a random diner. There was a remote missing so we couldn't watch tv. The shower looked like it might do more harm than good. Luckily I had some wet wipes with me and skipped the shower. The best part was the cockroach staring at me the next morning while I was brushing my teeth. I know it's hard to find much in these little towns, but do yourself a favor and drive a town or two over to somewhere that doesn't feel like a meth head might harass you on the way to your car.

Property is old but well kept

Staff was super friendly, great customer service! He gave us a room close to the grass area for my Hearing Dog. Room was older but clean and quiet. We saved this location to stay at for future driving trips. We will definitely stay again and recommend this Motel 6

Far enough from the interstate for some quiet sleeping. And, even though it's a modest little motel, this place was CLEAN.

On the way back from a wonderful family reunion. Stayed here, super easy access to the highway. Let's cut to the chase: when you get up get yourself over to Waffle House to get a proper American Breakfast, and note how convenient and what a great value it is staying here with my Dad, and genuinely enjoying this roadtrip

Gentleman was very accommodating since I was hauling a vehicle with a pickup trailer. He let me park in front of hotel and also moved me rooms so I could be closer. Amazing stay!

Room cleanliness quite disappointing. I like the simplicity and lack of carpet in the room but everywhere from the towels, bath, toilet, floor was dirty or had dirty stains/marks i.e., had certainly not been double checked once it was gone over quickly.

If you are just driving by in need of a hotel to just stay the night or a couple hours it is good enough but it was dirty on the floors and really noisy. Thankfully I was really tired and was able to sleep but the ways are really thin and you can hear everything specially when they have the tv really loud next room

I have stayed here quite a few times in the last couple of months. Always friendly, clean and comfortable!! The owners are great, and the staff is as well! Hands down the best deal in Sallisaw.

This motel is a halfway point in a trip I make several times a year. It is a step above most motel 6’s. Always clean, warm/cool, and I would recommend it to all dog- travelers!

Wash rags and towels were dingy. Lock on window was broken. Base board and tiles in bathroom were missing and broken. Tolit seat was broken. No coffee pot in room. Hotel staff was friendly and polite.

Room could have been a little cleaner but overall a cheap space to stay with dogs.

The property was very comfortable and accomadating. The only thing I could find fault with I had to stuff a towel in the bath drai. To take a bath. No stopper and no mechanism to close.

This is a very clean property. The bed was comfortable and the shower did not disappoint. The walls are super thin so you can hear everything going on next door, so that could be an issue depending on who you get next to. The quality though at this price can’t be beat. This is our second time to stay here and will definitely come back!

It was great and the only thing that would have been better xtra pillows and a coffee pot.

Room was nasty. Had roaches in the first room so we asked the front desk clerk (who was amazing) if they had a different room. The 2nd room we walked into has stains on the bed sheets. Once again we asked the front desk for clean sheets and she brought us brand new sheets and apologized for the state of the rooms. The night front desk clerk was the best part of the hotel. The facilities definitely needed to be cleaned and pesticided.

Sheets had some small stains on it too. ▪︎No room services during my entire stay there. I met one of the cleaning staff, the 2nd morning on my way out. We weren't ready for room service. So, she asked me to place dirty towels outside. I placed a face towel & a bath towel. She replaced only the bath towel. On the 4th night, I had to go to front desk to get new towels. We also ran out of toilet paper the last night. But I was too annoyed to go back to ask for more. I used Kleenex that I already had on hand. ▪︎Room didn't have an iron & ironing board. I got tired/annoyed keep going to front desk. Luckily I brought extra clothes. So, didn't need fuss with ironing clothes. ▪︎Very thin walls. We can hear our next door neighbor cough. ▪︎Floor corners & panels were dusty/dirty. ▪︎Staff seemed nice & pleasant. ▪︎I'll try the neighboring establishments before considering another stay here.

Staff at check in was helpful and nice. No pool (my error) and not much around the motel, but the beds and A/C were good. Major caveat was the dirty floor. My daughter's feet were filthy in a few minutes. We had to go to the Dollar General to get cleaning supplies.

Very dirty, local live ins were loud, dirty. Floor was filthy. Had to ask for towels. The child that was working and bringing towels to rooms of strangers was the best worker in the place. Found a dead bed bug. At least it was dead.

We stayed at this motel while visiting my family for the week. It was clean and the service was good. The maids checked on us each day. The rooms are nice for a motel. We had a double Queen room, one bed was nice one was a little older and too springy for my liking. I recommend bringing extra pillows. I would stay here again when visiting my family in town.
