The hotel is in a good location. It was quiet and seemed safe. The front desk staff was polite and friendly. There was a basic coffee bar setup in the foyer. The outside and interior public spaces were clean and organized. Note: The hotel does NOT have an elevator! The room was a nice size with comfortable beds, but the pillows were thin and stiff. Cleanliness of the room was lacking. The mattress covers had quite a few stains, but they did seem like they had been washed. The bathroom sink/faucet/counter didn't appear to be freshly cleaned. I wiped those down myself. The floor had builit up dirt in the corners. The worst area was the surround around the tub walls. The edge between the two pieces was gross with black mold. I didn't use the tub/shower at all during my stay. With about 5 minutes of effort and a good black mold cleaner, the room would have been satisfactory. I would not stay in this hotel again unless I knew the lack of cleanliness had been properly addressed. Therefore, I cannot recommend it.

Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. The room was neat and clean. The water pressure in the shower was strong and felt good. It was also pet friendly which was helpful. The only downside was that the pet area was on a hill making it difficult for dogs to relieve themselves.

This property was easy to check in, lots of parking, convenience to town and city of Roanoke 21min. Its cheap. Has free ice. Beverage machines for $. Free coffee in entry area I didn'ttry. Staff are fine. No elevator to 2nd, 3rd fl. My first level room was a musty kind of smell. In room there is ac/ heat unit, louder than Id expect. Runs constantly even on energy mode to keep room cool 74 to 76 got it cooler. Not cold. Surfaces were dirty, like black dusty. I had to wipe up all surfaces asap. Quiet except for the Wings restaurant next door, Sat pm music.

The not handicapped entrance. There is a lip to the ramp and then the sidewalks slants up to the door. The door opens out without a handicapped button. Coming out is awkward also. You get the downward slant and have to go right to use the ramp. Not friendly for a wheelchair or walker.

Just the location We were walked in on at 1030 at night by a worker with a master key. Nothing was done. Manager stated it was a mistake. I am going to notify a lawyer in this matter. My wife was getting out of the shower. No remorse or any care at all

The location was great. It was very dirty, the smoking floor is the bottom one so the smell wafted up. The heavy weed smoke came into the room through the large space around the door so I had to cover the door with the paper thin blanket they had on the beds, that had cigarette burns on them. The chairs were ripped and stained, there was gummy gobs of who knows what on most surfaces. Trash on the floor. I can go on… but I think the need to at least clean the place.

Lingering smell throughout building, poorly lit room, non-working smoke alarm, non-working bathroom exhaust fan, missing electrical outlet cover. Shelving falling off wall, shower curtain rod falling off wall, heavily stained bath towels and four very uncomfortable pillows.

It had a bed, a roof, and was close to work. Everything had mold. Thought I was staying at Camp Lejeune. Had a nice TV in the room, too bad there was no remote. Took a shower, went to dry off, only to realize there were no towels. Had to dry off with two tiny wash clothes. Had a no smoking room, but might as well have put slot machines in there cause it smelt like a casino. Charged me a 100 dollar deposit as if I could have done more damage than was already done to the place.

Went to the front desk to bring attention to these problems to a young woman named “ash penny” who didn’t show any empathy or willingness to fix these problems. Gave me the reservation number to call back because he manger Mike that she wouldn’t give me the last name of wasn’t in the hotel to address these long existing problems this location has.

Plus they charge a $100 extra that they hold til you checkout. You dont get room service at all while you are staying there. When they check you in they dot explain what they have charged you and you dont get a copy of the receipt to see what you have been charged.

I suppose you get what you get when you spend $67 for a hotel room. Beds were ok. No elevator was inconvenient but whatever. However, my family was appalled by the condition of the bathroom. Toilet seat half broken, mold on the walls, dirty molding around the tub, caked on water deposits on shower head and a dirt stained bath tub. We were afraid to use the shower. Will not be staying here again.

I stayed here only because it was one of the few hotels that was available. It was VT graduation weekend and hotels were booked and super expensive. This hotel needs a total renovation. It is outdated dirty and smelly. Carpeting is filthy and there is a mildew smell.

They ended up giving me a smoking room (I don’t smoke) after I booked for non-smoking. The room we got was so dirty, looked like pee stains on the bed skirts, the chair in the room was all cut up, the lamps shades were and had yellow stains, the room smelled so bad I almost threw up. The fridge and microwave were plugged into a power strip that was plugged into a wall with no outlet cover.. electrical hazard. You couldnt turn the bathroom light on because it was so loud I was afraid someone would complain. I don’t even want to describe what the bathroom looked like. If it wasn’t for me going to a concert and just needed a place to rest afterwards for a few hours so I could drive my 8 hours home I would have slept in my car. I have pictures of this disgusting hotel, this place needs to be shut down I would never in this lifetime recommend or book this place again. Oh and they wanted a deposit!! The back door that was supposed to be unlocked between 8am-8pm was not always unlocked during those hours. My room was 2 doors away from the back door, but I had to go thru the front door and walk almost all the way to the back door to get to my room. My knees and hips don't always work and this was a very painful walk. The soda machine didn't give the correct product. For $2.35 a soda I'd like to get the one I chose. But on a good note, the ice machine worked and the staff was very polite and friendly.

As soon as I walked in, the potent smell of marijuana hit me right in the face. The gentleman at the counter was nice enough. I was on the 3rd floor. When I walked into the room, it smelled like someone had just smoked a cigarette. The window was open to the room but it didn't help much. The colors of the hotel were outdated or peeling off the wall. The mattress was stained and the blankets were thin. I hate leaving reviews like this but it was by far one of the worst hotels I have stayed in.

I would not recommend this hotel to a dog! It was nasty! I’m a travel Nurse & had work a double & went to lay down in the bed & kept smelling a bad odor it was the blanket on the bed! The bathroom was nasty & the whole facility was! Tried calling front desk never could get up with them’

The room was nice, but there were places in the bathroom that needed some bleaching and/or calking. For the price, it was what I expected.

I received an e-mail after I booked the hotel stating than a $100 HOLD on a credit card was required upon check-in. Ok, standard. When went to check-in the lady said that it was a $100 CHARGE that would then be refunded in 3-5 days. I clarified multiple times that it was a CHARGE and NOT a HOLD. She said yes, that I could no it on a card, or in cash that be refunded upon checkout. I was not at all comfortable with that as it was against what was written. Plus the "lobby" was dirty, broken, and behind the desk looked like they were in the midst of a move as there was stuff everywhere. Just from the lobby felt super shady and did not inspire trust. I told her that I wanted to cancel the stay, she said fine, but that I would have to initiate through expedia and that they would approve the refund. I did so in the parking lot. Expedia said that the hotel refused the refund so I went back inside and asked the lady about it. She said that the manager had to approve it tomorrow. Again I confirmed mutliple times that they WOULD approve the refund. She said YES. Guess what. They didn't. Felt like they do this a lot and just pocket the money... Stayed at the comfort inn next door and it was lovely.

The so called breakfast was in the small lobby. I am an insulin dependent diabetic. The was nothing I could eat. Everything was packaged and covered in sugar. I had to go to a restaurant for breakfast.

Satisfactory stay for two guys just needing a place to catch some sleep after a night game at VaTech. Beds were good enough. Decor was nice. Bathrooms was dated but functional. "Breakfast" was prepackaged mini donuts.

Very good room for the money. Breakfast was decent, OK for the price. Coffee available all the time. I had to pry the sink drain to allow the water to drain. It seems that the less expensive hotels ALWAYS have a problem with the sink drainage, so this was a minor problem.

The bedside outlets don’t work. The toilet would not flush properly. I had to go ask for a tv remote then get one with no batteries. The desk staff was not professional at all.

Mentioned this to the front desk and asked for a different room. The female clerk said " That what you get when you book on-line!!!" OMG!. Hospitality - NOT! Summary: They tick you off on purpose to get you to leave and lose all of your money. SCAM!!! So, to repeat: they put you up in lesser digs, you mention, and they cause a scene, on purpose, to take your money- and Expedia doesn't care because they're getting paid, too. Oh, the picture of the property is from 20 years ago - it does NOT look like that now. Immigrants coming to America to treat Americans wrong in their own country. They should kick out the whole family for nefarious business dealings.

It was horrible, the employees are rude, the room was not very clean and stunk, had to take disinfectant spray and spray the room. Will never stay there again.

I paid for a king and got 2 queens. The first room had no sheets, blankets, or pillowcases. We had to go back to the desk. The next room we couldn’t get in. Got another key and still couldn’t get in. The woman from the front desk came and tried and it still wouldn’t work. She gave us a 3rd room. There was only 1 clean towel. The other towel was dirty, hanging behind the door. I told the woman at check out. I should not have to pay for this type of service. All she said was, I’m sorry, we had a lot of check outs yesterday. This was terrible!

All in all was good however the 100.00 they required for incidentals was a little much for a one night stay and its now two days since I checked out and they have not put the 100 dollars back to my account. Very bad practice if they want repeat business

This was a one night stop during a long cross country trip. The receptionist was very cordial and handled my reservation quickly. The hotel is in dire need of updates. The carpets are very worn, there were exposed water lines on the 2nd floor where a wall was cut open, and cleaning could be much better. My bathtub had an antislip mat in the bottom that hadn't been removed since it was installed and there was a thick layer of dirt,debris, & mold underneath the mat. The bed was extremely comfortable and I got a good nights sleep. The location is very convenient to the highway 81 ramp and several restaurants.

Property is badly in need of an upgrade. Corridors and rooms smelled of smoke. Expected better from a Wyndham hotel .

It was the only thing available for our grandson‘s graduation at Virginia Tech.

I didn’t even stay there after seeing drug addicts outside and the area was dirty

The hotel has seen better days. Rundown and well-used. A safe place to get some rest as it is conveniently located off the freeway. With good food and groceries nearby. The best part of getting up in the morning is the local coffee provided in the office. H&G is a local hometown coffee and is sold at Kroger.

Room is spacious. Breakfast was coffee and donuts and brioches in individual packages. It should be advertised as free coffee and donuts at the Hotel Reception....There are no seats!

The staff was very rude. We had an early check in and notified them of this and when arriving they acted as if it was brand new news. The shower head leaked all over the bathroom. The bathtub was extremely dirty. They also required a $100 deposit that was not indicated at all until right at check in. States that breakfast is available and it was literally a packaged honey bun or a packaged danish. We had a third floor room and the key would hardly work for the outside access door and even the room door. Terrible experience

I never stayed here. This was a protected booking and they would not let me check in and it looks like they charged me anyway. And now they want a review?

Good value stay, clean, everything works. No issues. Coffee and light snacks in morning are nice. Soap / Shampoo provided.

There was not enough hot water to take even one shower. The breakfast consisted of coffee and stale bagles. Nothing to go on the bagels.

Very old and dingy. Decently clean. The room did have a faint dog smell. The faucet in the sink as well as tub both constantly dripped.

I was staying in a double bed room. Was laying on top of bedspread watching TV. Got tired pull sheets back ugh. Bed stunk, smelled like it has not been cleaned. Horrible. Went to the other bed and that was clean and comfortable was so bad leaving the spread back room started stinky. So I covered it up and it was better

It was just what we needed and in a safe location. In addition I appreciated the 1 hour late check out.
