The strongest part of this hotel is the staff. All were happy to help. Celest was especially helpful. This bright, friendly, intelligent woman went above and beyond to make us feel at home. I would happily hire her any day. She is the very best part of the Hampton.

My kids (4 &7) absolutely loved this hotel. The pool and the hot tub was their favorite part!

Everything about this property was top notch...The staff was amazing, the room was spotless and the most lush bedding I have ever encountered. The morning coffee and breakfast was not your average hotel breakfast, it was delicious. We loved this place and intend to stay here on our next trip to St. Simons Island.

The location was PERFECT. It felt tucked away and peaceful surrounded by all the beautiful old trees, so it had that relaxing secluded feel, but you were still right in the middle of everything. CVS was right beside the hotel so we walked over to it about a million times during the trip. Red Fern Village being right behind the hotel was another huge plus. Everything was such an easy walking distance, and one evening we could hear the live band playing while my daughter swam in the pool. It wasn’t loud or annoying at all, just the perfect little background music that honestly made the whole vibe feel even more relaxing. The front desk staff were so kind and helpful the entire stay. You can tell they genuinely care about guests having a good experience. They also had delicious fresh cookies in the lobby and complimentary bottled waters, which was such a nice touch after being out in the heat all day. The only downside was that I booked through Expedia, so I wasn’t able to use my Hilton member perks this time, but that was totally my fault and definitely not a dealbreaker. We already plan to come back again within the next few months!

The staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating (a special shout out to Celeste at the front desk). The beds were comfortable and the quality of the complementary breakfast was very good. The WI-FI connection was not "free" unless you were a Hilton awards member. After being hooked up, it constantly went out and was very aggravating when trying to work in the room. Coffee billed as "24 hours" was not, as I went downstairs at 4 and there was no coffee. Tried calling the front desk, no one answered. Please don't advertise "free WI-FI", 24 hour service if it isn't so.

The front desk staff was very welcoming in the facilities were very clean. This is an older establishment, but it was very well maintained.. the convenience of the eateries which were in walking distance, made it very easy to venture out and get the essentials that you may have needed. They even have a local CVS right next-door. Should you need any additional toiletries. What we like most is that it was close to everything.

Overall the property was ok. Staff was helpful. Located near food locations and a short drive to shops and the ocean. Room had an overwhelming deodorant smell. Bathroom was not spotless. Property could use some updates. Pool area was decent. I requested an early check in which was accommodated by staff without any problems.

The hotel should remove their old bath tubs and replace with a walk-in shower. The tub in our room was cracked and broken and had very high sides which made it difficult to get int it. A less able person than I would not have been able to have a shower or bath. In addition, breakfast choices were somewhat limited. They did not serve decaf coffee, and pastries were less than good.

They servered a hot breakfast and it was good. All of the staff that I met was friendly and helpful. It is hard to make a left turn out of the parking lot due to traffic and due to no center turn lane.

Had to wait almost three hours beyond guaranteed check in time for a room. Then we overheard one of the two housekeepers we told we on duty complaining that her counterpart was doing nothing but “sitting on her ass.” It was a bad ending to an already bad day.

The carpet in the room was dirty, emitting unpleasant odors and appearing unclean throughout the space. There was a constant noise of water pressure relief coming from the room above, because of that, I could not sleep all night.

Great hotel in a great location. Staff was awesome and we loved the fresh baked cookies. Pool was not heated (ice cold) and hot tub was not working which was a disappointment.

The room was not touched during our stay. No restocking of coffee or cups. Toilet cut on and off all night, which we reported but had no attempt to fix. (It probably needed a new flapper. The desk ladies and the breakfast crew were phenomenal and always one step ahead of your needs. The breakfast was delicious.

It really did not detract from the stay, but different from prior hotel experiences. It was a nice room with a modern tv that allows you to use your own Netflix account. The second floor smelled like dog and dog pre and our room have a stain on the floor which seemed to be covered in a carpet cleaner. Maybe trying to get the dog pee smell out but it was bad. I didn’t have time to go down and request another room I was busy with getting everything for my uncles wedding and my baby ready.

Our room reeked like cigarette smoke. We were too tired to change after driving 14 hours. We were only there one night. When I replied to the "how is your room text" and told them about the smell not even a "sorry" was offered. When I took off my pants there was sand on the floor which ended up in my shoes. The front desk person was SUPER nice when we checked in. Breakfast was good. I would not recommend this place due to the horrible smell of cigarettes in our room and unresponsiveness of management. My clothes even reek of it when we unpacked. A BIG NOPE to ever staying at this location. The area is beautiful.

We didn’t know that this was a “pet friendly “ hotel. Noisy and barking dogs ruined the stay. Staff moved us to a quieter location and we were ok but that should not have been allowed to happen.

This was my first stay at the Hampton Inn Saint Simons Island. I have been coming to Saint Simons Island for many years now and have stayed at different hotels. This is very conveniently located to anything you need to get to in town. The staff was very nice. I was there during a very busy weekend and you could tell that it was very busy. The complementary breakfast is very nice, but considering how busy it was there was a lot that was empty was not a big deal to me because I usually like to eat at local Cafés and bakeries, but I would say a little more attention needs to be spent there. And that was not anything to do with the staff again they were fantastic. I just think based upon the capacity and amount of people staying at the hotel this weekend potentially they could’ve added more staff on.

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was disappointing. The water in the shower never got hot and the beds were extremely hard, making it difficult to get any rest. While the staff was polite, the overall experience was not what I expected. I would not choose to stay here again.

One off the nicest Hampton Inns. Loved the plantation shutters on the window, nightlight in bathroom, ample towels, real bar soap. Lovely young lady helped me check in on arrival and offered us bottled water. Ladies working the breakfast counter were also lovely and sweet. Sometimes it's the little things that make a difference.

We had to change rooms because of a roof leak and we found some bugs.

Wow! So impressed by this Hampton location. Spacious room, high ceiling. Plenty of towels. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good! We've stayed at other Hamptons. This is the best one we've stayed at.

Room was clean, comfortable, very nice. Beds were very comfortable as was the pillows and linens. Great breakfasts. Whoever was on desk when we checked in Friday evening went above and beyond my expectations to ensure our comfort all evening long- I wish I'd gotten her name. Housekeeping very professional and helpful I was juggling a large breakfast tray and they very kindly let me in my room instead of me having to juggle everything to get key to get in( it's these little things people don't notice that count- like the dietary kitchen getting me a tray when I was struggling to take our breakfast to room) I travelled with my 16 yr old dog and I couldn't leave her alone long enough to eat in dining room. I always stay at Hampton Inn if there is one near where I need it.

Stay was good, room and hall had a stale scent which did not affect the overall stay. The hot tub was out of order which was a bummer for my kids but did not affect overall stay. Would stay again here!

The breakfast was decent. There was just enough parking at the site. Rooms are small; carpet was not clean. Staff was however responsive; they got an issue in bathroom fixed quickly. So, I rated it as an average property.

The water went out at 10AM. We were not notified, they couldn't tell us anything about a repair ETA and they still charged us for that day/night

The hotel was ok and nice, but I've stayed in better Hampton Inns. We were traveling with our service dog and I'm not sure if the room we were given is normally given to people with service animals, but there was a musty, dirty dog like odor in the room. It was not great. I keep our small service dog clean at all times since I am susceptible to odors as well as my daughter. Even though we have a dog, she is hypoallergenic and well groomed as to not have that "dog" smell. If the case is that this hotel mostly puts customers witj service animals in this particular room, they need to do a better job of cleaning afterwards.

We are so impressed with Hampton Inn St Simons Island. It was very clean, quiet and met our needs. The staff was efficient and friendly. We enjoyed the hot breakfast as well. We have found our new home away from home. 5 stars all the way!

The property location is good for getting around the island, keeping you close enough to get to things, but not terribly stuck in traffic. The property overall seemed safe, clean, and well kept. The problems we had were mostly regarding our room. The carpet was filthy - my socks were white, when I put them on, and looked like I walked on fresh asphalt in a very short time. Also, the jetted bathtub was just gross and beaten up. It looked like they tried to re-glaze an acrylic tub (including the jets), and it failed. There was mold, hair in the filter, and peeling and cracking around the tub. One spot on the floor of the tub felt squishy and was cracked. For the record, I sat on the edge of the tub to shave my legs - I wouldn’t have gotten anymore familiar with the tub than that, for my safety and sanity. The only other issue was the key cards repeatedly not working more than once - they were aware of the issue and warned customers (sort of), but it was a bit ridiculous, and continued longer than they expected. The property felt safe, and the hotel was quiet. We checked in on a Thursday, and left on Saturday.

We really enjoyed staying here for our trip to St. Simon's! It was so clean and comfy with great AC! The pool area had towels that are provided by the hotel. The location was conveniently in close proximity to dining, shopping, and the beach! And the staff were nice and so helpful when we needed extra towels! We will be back here on our next trip to St. Simons Island!

The hotel was a really good place. The location was close to everything. They accommodated our puppies well. The room was comfortable and we felt safe. Everyone was nice to us especially Celeste at the front desk. She was very professional, curtious, and gave great recommendations. When we come back we will stay there again.

The breakfast was less than desireable.

We wanted to split our bill and were told because we reserved online that it was impossible . Third party reservation and payment was complete. Rather rude about the situation. I did not realise this was an issue. Older motel and shier tile cracked with broken grout. I have stayed in much nicer Hampton Inn’s .

The hotel is showing signs of age.

Hotel was very nice and clean. Only negative I could say was the bathtub was severely damaged and falling apart. The shower head was the wand type, very moldy, and designed for people 4 foot and under to shower under. Other than that hotel was great.

was already checked in to a third floor room when the manager told me the elevator was broken! She switched this 79 year old man with a cane to a second floor room. Thanks for small favors.

Great location

The elevator wasn’t working when we got there, started working and wasn’t working when we left in the morning. Had to carry our bags down 3 flights of stairs.

If you want another guest to come into your room by a mistake by the hotel, stay here! Unsafe. The staff will not resolve your issue. Do not stay here. They also will charge you unauthorized charges. The worst hotel ever! 11.14.24 The Manager and staff are unprofessional.

Family friendly

We liked the property however, during our stay the sole elevator did not work. We were placed on the second floor so we did not appreciate the inconvenience.

parking lot is dark at night

We booked this hotel for the weekend to watch our granddaughter in a soccer tournament. The staff was friendly. The room was clean, but had a slight odor. I told my husband it smelled a bit like a wet dog. I noticed many pets were staying at this hotel, so that could explain it. Complimentary breakfast was excellent. I would stay here again.

Close to town, easy excess

Great location, very clean, rooms very large and spotlessly clean, staff very helpfull, great breakfast provided, would stay here again

Someone tried to get in our room at 10:30pm lucky the key didn't work. After that the front desk person knocked on our door to make sure we were the people that were satying there. Was very diturbing.

Everything seemed new. Very impressive!

I’m looking for my refund. We were unable to check in due to no power. I have requested a refund but have not heard back from the Hampton Inn on St Simon Island.

Typical Hampton very nice on all levels

Perfect location for what we were there for. Beds were harder then we like but room was clean.

Easy to make a reservation, check in, a quiet room and a very good hot breakfast.

Internet service was terrible! Off & on causing loss of data in process. $200 per night should buy decent WiFi network. Also had no housekeeping service the first day & night.

But the staff took care of us and moved us elsewhere and the stay overall was great thanks to them. The breakfast was really good and the fact that this place has free EV charging definitely means we’ll come back.

I have stayed at this property multiple times with my dog, since he was 9 weeks old. I have NEVER paid a pet fee. I was charged without my knowledge. I have proof and receipts showing that I have never been charged. I asked for a one-time courtesy because I had never been charged again and they refused to refund my $75.00.
