The hotel is generally well-liked for its historic charm, cleanliness, and friendly staff. However, some guests have issues with the small bathrooms, outdated rooms, and occasional maintenance problems.

Love this hotel! Clean and staff is friendly and helpful. The town has a lot of shop and great places to eat!
- 5/5
Historical hotel in the middle of town. Very nice and close to shops and restaurants.

Killed 4 cockroaches in the bathroom... Talked to the stafff... They told me that the supervisor was not available till monday(june 1st) and that i will receive a call during the day... It's friday (june 5th) and still waiting...
- 2/5
Staff is excellent,, continental breakfast is just that, grab and go.. but everything healthy.. We stayed two nights, in town for a family funeral,,, The room was massively hot.. Tiny window a/c unit, not properly installed, air leaking out of crevices around unit.. and all the buttons were messed up.. Ceiling fan helped circulate the air around bed, but don’t turn on lights.. The bathroom was old and painted over “ Not Nostalgic “. Bathroom widow would not close, much less lock, which would allow somebody to climb up and easily enter room.. And that great little window allowed lots of hot air in, which added to room heat. So why did we suffer for two nights, and a full day, because it was all non refundable. Room change would do no good, because all rooms were the same as far as amenities.. Really Bad. Honestly for what you pay there are way better options, unless you really have to be downtown where nothing is going on anyway, and you can use the room as a sauna. So many little things that could be done to make this a much better place. Lived in St. Cloud 31 years, happy I never had to stay, or have somebody else stay at Hunter Arms Hotel.. Definitely will NOT happen again..

Great

This is a niche older hotel. The hotel has a history, but was also a movie location... look it up. The bathroom is not to a high standard, the a/c unit is a window model. The location is in the old city centre part of town, lots of interesting buildings and very quiet. Great breakfast restaurant is nearby (The Cup Diner), because hotel breakfast was not much to be desired.
- 3/5
Location was great! Nearby restaurants were fun with good food. Continental breakfast was nice with good coffee. Staff was very nice and the retro decor was fun. Very basic room with a very tight bathroom and there were a couple roaches.
- 5/5
The property was absolutely gorgeous and the staff was great 😊. The room was very cozy, and the bed was so comfortable. The property did seem to have a few little German cockroaches in the bathroom (mind you everything was so clean I was shocked) which took a little charm away but overall a nice stay for the cost.

Peaceful

The charm of an old historic hotel. Fun change of pace. Little window air conditioner had to run constantly to keep up
- 4/5
Bed/rooms were slightly too small.
- 5/5
Love the vintage vibe, clean room

Bed mattress extremely soft. Breakfast terrible.

Mi nombre es Aldemaro Romero y mi estadia en este hotel ah sido de maravilla ,exelente servicio el staff bien amables y atentas gracias por ser un valioso cliente.
- 4/5
Súper cute and tucked between some adorable businesses. very walkable area I mean it’s a historic type of building so you just have to accept some of the ancient facilities and the walls were just so thin
- 5/5
The History of the place Everything was great
- 3.5/5
The room was very basic and not very clean. The best wasn't comfortable. The elevator was broken.
- 4/5
I stay at the Hunter Arms twice a year when I visit my mom who lives in Florida. It's a no frills hotel, very nice staff, and walking distance to stores and restaurants.
- 1/5
The staff in the front desk was very pleasant I never saw anyone else. She also made sure breakfast was out and very clean. But the rest of the hotel was very outdated. The room was the thing that was outdated the actual hotel looked very nice and clean. There was roaches in the main lobby. The room had a wall unit that didn’t keep the room very cool. There was a hole in one of the walls that was patched. Old furniture, the bed felt old because there were indentations from people sleeping on two sides. I would not stay there again
- 5/5
Zona muy bonita, buen ambiente
- 5/5
Great staff! Great location! Great price! Would stay here again.
- 5/5
Cl9se to everything
- 5/5
Very clean and unique. The bed frame was pretty sharp on the corners. Left some cuts and bruises on me.
- 5/5
Wonderful people, that take care of you!

The bed Roku TV Service Ease of entry/ exit Free parking Coffee bar Plenty of outlets and USB plugs Mini fridge had bottle/can holders Exposed brick interior Good quality AC • Mystery bug wings scattered on my comforter and bedside table upping entry • Shower water had yellowish-brown water • No peephole for guest visits & security • Would like the ability to choose my room, especially liknon-smoking room
- 5/5
Clean room, helpful staff and very quiet area
- 5/5
Front desk clerk was very nice and helpful . Bed was comfortable . Only issue was vending machine was out of order.
- 5/5
The architecture of the historic building. The staff was very kind. Everything was clean and the beds very comfortable, the room had a nice refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast was good and nice coffee.
- 4/5
The heritage decor in the public rooms was a refreshing change from most accommodation. Close to a couple of good eateries, especially the Tavern. There was a problem with the lift which didn't get properly sorted while we were there.
- 5/5
Everything was clean, low key and quiet area.
- 4/5
Was late at night and it was perfect for a few hours sleep. Front desk lady was nice. Nothing really. Kind of dark out front and a little scary. Hard to see sign and door.

All good

Location was good, and it had the feel of an old hotel. Bed was comfortable. The room was very small, ac was loud, bathroom tiny. They had a party going on downstairs that was really loud. Breakfast was not good, didn’t even have plates for your food.
- 3/5
Central AC upgrade would be nice
- 3/5
It would have been nice to know the elevator was out of order, prior to booking, but we managed. The king size bed was comfortable. The place is old, which is charming, but the room didn't feel clean enough. Was an okay stay. I slept well, which was the point.

The hotel is on this really nice street, property was clean. My room with the two queen beds was clean. One tv, a microwave and small fridge which were clean. Their breakfast that’s included is a grab and go breakfast. Cereal, muffins, bagels with coffee or tea. It’s boxed air conditioning in the rooms , not central since it is a historic hotel so you have to be ok with that. It did keep the room to a comfortable enough but I woke up hot sometimes. The bathroom was small, small sink and the toilet was right next to the sink which made it kind of hard to use the bathroom.
- 5/5
Hotel is very quaint and beautiful as well as clean and in a great location Rooms bigger
- 4/5
Small bathroom, parking
- 5/5
Yes, breakfast was grab and go. Good selections
- 3/5
The staff is great. This is my second time staying here. This time around a little disappointed. The room smelled like weed.
- 5/5
Old fashioned period style room but very clean
- 2.5/5
Hair in the sheets upon arrival….extremely loud during the night. Some sort of filming at 3:00 am in the morning.
- 4/5
Less expensive than most around and we were traveling thru so took a chance and found it interesting and adequate for our needs- no frills, grabngo breakfast equal to chains- nice walkable downtown
- 5/5
The room was very cozy.
- 4/5
Great staff, terrific environment, and great value!! The only issue was the elevator was not working. This is no one's fault but a 2nd elevator would have been nice.
- 5/5
Enjoyed the quaint feel of area.
- 5/5
Ideally located for our needs. In the heart of Downtown St Cloud. Parking good. Breakfast good, nice outdoor area to sit in. Staff brilliant really helpful. Really interesting building.
- 5/5
I came at 4p and ask about laundry service and they guied me to their housekeeping laundry room and let us wash and dry all our clothes with their detergents. Walking distance to a nice steakhouse, several open air bars, the breeze more of a sports bar and the food comes from the steakhouse, the garage bar was fun time with karaoke, they too have food but more bar food type stuff (pizza, burgers, wings etc). And Awesome staff! Best if all $114.00 after taxes... I will be back!!!
- 3/5
Breakfast was fresh. Room was clean. The staff was friendly.
- 2.5/5
Coffee station was really good and they always had water available for guests Breakfast was really poor
- 5/5
The Breakfast is just grab and go! It’s not a continental.
- 4.5/5
did not have anything, daughter did have a bagle
- 3/5
The continental breakfast was okay. The bed was not very comfortable, the air conditioning was loud and the shower water pressure could have been much better. The location was very nice.
- 5/5
The most relaxing stay I’ve ever had. Will be returning
- 5/5
Breakfast was good, will be excellent if include American breakfast.
- 3/5
Dated rooms. Noisy. Smelled liked pot in the hallways.
- 2.5/5
Breakfast was fine, but no meats or eggs was a disappointment. Needed a bar or or restaurant.
- 5/5
We will be back!
- 5/5
Clean room, bath could use a little tlc, soft bed not to our liking. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Quaint old hotel, been renovated, street fare the night we were there that was fun. Lots of goodies.
- 3/5
Loud music all night long from bar.
- 4.5/5
Everything! Only recommendation...larger/more powerful AC units in the rooms would be greatly appreciated
- 5/5
The staff were amazing! The elevator was broken during my trip which was a bit inconvenient but would definitely staff there again regardless

- 4.5/5
Loved the history and period decor.
- 5/5
This was a cool place to stay in a quaint part of town. The building's glory days were a while ago, but the charm and nostalgia of yesteryear are alive and well. The jumbo bakery muffins and packaged pastries at breakfast looked good. We would have stayed again on our way home, but took a different route.
- 2.5/5
It was a quaint looking old fashioned place. Staff were exceptional. Outside signage was not lit up so after dark you couldn’t see it until you were right on it. Parking on street or ‘out back’. Worst for me was elevator was broken so I had to get my handicap self up a lot of stairs. Staff did offer to carry my luggage up and I accepted. Pretty disappointing over all.
- 5/5
Room was spacious for our needs. Bathroom needs to have a bigger sink. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location.
- 5/5
Excellent customer service and everything clean. You can walk to all the venues less than a block away.and free parking is a plus.
- 4/5
Good location, comfortable and historic feel. Needs upgrades in order to charge the current rates, window ac units do not meet the standards being charged.
- 5/5
The bed was so comfy
- 5/5
This is a hotel in the downtown area, very pretty cobblestones. It is an older building but well maintained. All of the things I hold dear were done well: soft bed, good tv, clean shower etc. top marks. Best thing was when the staff helped me: I made the reservation a week in advance by mistake. When I showed up they accommodated me. Thank you!

It was a cute hotel but very old and you can literally hear every sound. There were people constantly yelling in the middle of the night and early morning. Was woken up at 6am to a guy yelling non stop and swearing in the hallway, and nothing was done about it. A lot of weird stuff. It’s the best option if staying in Saint Cloud. I would rather make the drive to Kissimmee or Orlando and stay somewhere nicer and it would be cheaper too.

Fun hotel! My wife and I definitely would have loved to stay longer! The town is a gem. Especially being close to Orlando. The lady at the front desk was quite knowledgeable of the area, and pointed us in the right direction for fun entertainment for the evening. The breakfast was also very enjoyable!

The staff were wonderful and polite. Continental breakfast is just what i need to get started in the morning. There is always coffee available. The hot water seemed to be a small problem (second floor) but it was warm enough to get a quick shower. The room was very clean and the bed was wonderful. So comfortable. Elevator is right inside the front door-nice when you have too much to carry.

Charming old historic hotel in St. Cloud. We went for the New Years Eve event (super fun!), and it was incredibly convenient, right in the middle of everything. The old property has been retrofitted with sprinklers and adequate outlets, often missing in older properties.Continental breakfast was also fine, plus convenient coffee and ice, beautiful lobby.

She didn’t have to leave the desk, but she did, It’s the little things that make a difference and that little act of kindness helped catapult an amazing weekend and lovely hotel stay that I needed. Thank you!

This is an old hotel with a lot of "character" and old timey decor, and creeks and cracks. But the bedding and bathrooms were clean and the neighbors and street were quiet good for a restful sleep. It's priced pretty decently for what you get, and its on the bar row. We sometimes crash here instead of driving home after a night of bat hopping.

The hotel was so cute and the staff were so nice especially when my husband I checked in super late at night. When we got to our room it seemed clean and well taken care of, even checked for bed bugs but nothing. I set my purse on a table in the middle of the room and see a cockroach run away, we trapped it in a cup and decided not to worry too much since it was already late. I got plug in my phone behind the night stand and find 2 more, we slept with all the lights on to keep them in the corners and told the staff as soon as possible the next day. They seemed really disappointed and wanted to help but they said they couldn’t do much unless their owner knew and asked me to email the picture I took to them. I email them minutes later and got no reply, I honestly wasn’t looking for a refund I just really hope they can get it figured out because other than the pests it was a great place that I would love to go back to. Also the cafe next door is so cute!!

We had a great stay. Staff were amazing and facilities were exactly what you’d expect for a historic old hotel. Only complaint was the a/c unit in our room was not the best and it was a little warmer than we’d have liked. The staff was very accommodating and apologetic. We will stay here again on our future trips.

Carla in the reception was excellent and very welcoming. We were able to get an early check-in (long trip). Really liked the decoration in the lobby. The room was old fashioned and with decent space for 4 people. The surrounding area is safe and no noisy people around; walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, produce, etc.

I always stay at this motel when I'm in St. Cloud. The rooms are clean and the staff is very friendly. The motel is centrally located and easy walking distance to many things.

For under $100.00/night (instead of $1,500.00+/night at the "Breakers, Palm Beach" (yes, we have stayed there multiple times), you will have a story to tell for years to come! The room was small, as was the bathroom (think entry hall closet). Electrical boxes and outlets were wall mounted with conduit. However, microwave, refrigerator, internet, and TV were provided. Multiple layers of paint on the woodwork and brick walls may question cleanliness, but we did not find that to be the case. A Continental Breakfast is provided, and offered one of the best Blueberry Muffins I've had. Would we be come back? YES! In fact we plan to make this an annual visit from our home in Lakewood Ranch, FL.

This hotel is what you would expect from a 100 year old hotel.

Great and unique, excellent service and breakfast

Staff were friendly. Building was old but well maintained. I just wish there was a window shade or blinds for the walk in closet.

Overnight stay for quick visit with friends. The bed was super comfy, I forgot to ask what brand it was because the wife really wants one for the house. Staff was friendly and super helpful. Would stay again

I did not spend much time in the hotel but it was fine for an inexpensive old hotel. The room was small but clean. There was some noise below in the parking lot at night but was drowned out beautifully by the noise of the window airconditioner. My bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was sufficient, And the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The shops on the street are charming and there are plenty of good restaurants nearby. The John 3:16 coffee shop attached to the restaurant was an exceptional treat.

Loved staying in a historic hotel. Rooms were clean and sweet. Nice little place. If you are looking for something different and charming, choose Hunter Arms

First time staying at the historical hotel. We received a warm welcome from front desk personnel. Our room was spacious and quiet and a reasonable, comfortable temperature. Voices could be heard from another room, but no sounds interfered with our good night's sleep. The bathroom was smallish, but sufficed. We would stay here again in the future.

My overnight stay at Hunter Arms was very enjoyable. The hotel is quaint but modernized. It's very photographic. The bed was very comfortable & the bathroom was very clean. The baseboards could use a wipe. Other than that, it was great. I also enjoyed the complimentary coffee.

That being said the amenities are somewhat limited in that the building is 100 years old. The rooms are on the smaller side. It does have window A/C units. They do have USB ports to plug into. They do hand out free water at the front desk. Didn't see an ice machine. They do have a restaurant built into the hotel on the first floor. The hotel is surrounded by a strip shopping area that is very walkable. The parking is mostly street parking.

Nice property. Cool settings. Bathroom tubs do need to be updated
- 5/5
Such a unique place to stay with all its history and the area itself brings you back to simpler times. My only advice is if you arrive late and no one is at the desk just phone their line and wait for the voicemail to begin and shortly after that the front desk person should answer the phone. It’s a charming place to stay!

They are so accomodating. They have the sweetest front desk staff. The cleanliness was impeccable. You can tell they care about who they hire and the staff is happy in the quality of work that they are shelling out. I would stay here any time i am in this area. I look forward to coming again.

Historic building that was remodeled and done up really beautiful. And left enough of the original that you could enjoy the history of it. The staff was excellent to fix anything that we needed done.

Very noisy. Little opportunity for sleep.
- 4/5
Good central location. Easy access to get in and out. Parking options were good and flexible. The room was simply furnished with comfortable bed and spotless bathroom. Unexpected in-room ammenities included a small fridge and microwave. There was also complimentary coffee in the 2nd fl lobby and bottled water from the front desk. Overall a good experience.

Fabulous little boutique hotel!!! The previous about hot water is the only thing that needs fixing. People are so sweet there.!!

After reading the reviews, I still took a chance on this hotel. I think some of those people need to remember that this hotel was built before their grandparents were born... I was in town visiting so I didn't need anything fancy and I got to tell you that was probably one of the most comfortable beds I ever slept in! It took a long time (like 7 plus minutes) For the water to get hot but it did get there. Unfortunately in my room the plug-in in front of the only mirror in the bathroom wasn't working so I had to do my hair in the main room with no mirror. The front desk was informed and they assured me it would be corrected. There are no coffee makers in the room. But the stair landing of the hotel has a Keurig that you can pour yourself a cup of coffee and bring it back to your room which to me, was pretty handy. I loved the historic feel of the hotel and that bed! If you are looking for a comfortable bed and No frills, this is your place!

We loved the location. Our room was not clean. There were crumbs in our refrigerator and dust on the tables. We actually had to go buy our own cleaning supplies. Again, the hotel was cute and location was key for us.

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel in the heart of St. Cloud. Hotel has been renovated. Very warm and cozy look as well as wonderful and comfortable rooms.
- 4/5
This is one of those old hotels that is clean and adequate. It was exactly what I needed as I had an event in St. Cloud and wanted an easy stay where I could park once and walk to everything. This was perfect. I would stay here again for the same reasons - good price, clean and comfortable for a short stay. Don't miss the Gastro Brunch restaurant next door for the best breakfast. A few nice little retail stores downtown made my trip even more pleasant.

Would not recommend. Space heater for heat. Extremely outdated and very noisy. You can hear people talking in their rooms and everything in the hallway. We found a long black hair on our pillow case.

Very pretty and clean hotel, location was excellent right downtown with several places to walk to, very nice area. Really enjoyed it.

Staff, cleaningness, area, all great

They don’t invest in hot water, the bed sinks in like a cheap coffin the ac is a cheap window unit. This is a “rustic” place

Definitely look forward to staying here again.
