Everything is excellent except the elevator. It needs repair, it is moving up and down while exiting the elevator. They are fixing it soon.

Kitchen well stocked. Very clean room. Such nice folks. I stay regularly because I get a consistent quality. Cold quiet AC too! Restaurants in walking distance is so convenient!

Also, there was a LOT of noise both outside and in the hall. That meant we didnt sleep super well even though the room and bed were quite comfortable. The staff was great and there were lots of amenities available including things you wouldnt necessarily think of. It's pretty apparent that this property is geared toward a long term guest and for that purpose I am sure it would be far better than most.

Had to go see about a lady. Was a great utilitarian place to stay. Spacious. Nice interior. Location was a bit off, and the facade needs work. But staff was friendly. If youre in town for work or visiting someone, it's perfect. Not really a vacation stay hotel IMO.

We were in a suite with 2 queens in the bedroom and a small kitchen and living area with pullout couch. It was a good size for our family of 4. The bathroom door was broken (missing the strike plate) and would not lock or stay shut. We had to bring a chair into the bathroom to put against the door to keep it shut. Luckily the bathroom was large enough to keep the chair in there. We reported this 3 times before someone from maintenance finally came around 5:00 on our second day. He tried to fix it but after some failed attempts decided he didn't have the right part and would have to order it. Hope it got fixed for the next guest. There are a bunch of shops and restaurants nearby even within walking distance but beware they are not open late. We arrived after 9 PM and had to drive a few miles to get dinner because everything was closed.

Wish it had a restaurant but there are places within walking distance. Great size room and bathroom. Took a little while for the hot water to heat up for a shower but once it did it was fine.

Staff is top notch, especially Shannon, however elevator broken for 6 out of 10 days we stayed here. Pool heater broken entire stay. Pool had lots of leaves everyday, there was an older gentleman who cleaned the pool and it wasn’t really his job. So we appreciate him. Rooms could use some updating, sofa was old and stained on the upholstery. Rooms are sparsely furnished. Conveniently located to anything you may need.

Room was adequate. Bathroom needed more hooks on the walls - towel bar was across the room from the sink.

Staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The area is nice, felt safe at all times. Didn't use the pool, so no comment there. Downsides: elevator was out the entire time we stayed. They did call me 2 dsys before checkin to let me know. It was an inconvenience due to my mobility and ballance issues. Unfortunately I was not able to locate another property for the days we were here. They put us on the 2nd floor, so that was vetter than the 3rd I guess. I did pay for a 1 bedroom suite, but they put me in a studio (lower cost room, no refunds either). Considering the oropwas built in 2020, they have had constant elevator issues vased on comments from others over the past 12-18 months. Slept good, and enjoyed my time in Clearwater. Not sure if I eill stay here again though, due to the sketch elevator.

The front desk staff was nice, but the hotel was a disaster. The elevator was broken for our entire stay, which was 6 days, and it had been broken a while according to the front desk. The air conditioner didn't work in the first 3 rooms we were assigned. We didn't get the larger suite we paid for because no air conditioners were working, but no refund was given either. The hotel is old and very dated and the pictures on here are not accurate. I would not stay here again and I do not recommend anyone stay at this hotel.

The elevator didn’t work the 3 nights we stayed. Our first room was really loud. Was told it was next to boiler. We did get a new room on third floor. On last night an error code came up on thermostat and we had very little AC. All the staff were very helpful.

The room was spacious and clean. There is a Publix within walking distance as well as other food options. The only issue is the elevator doesn’t work, and based on the reviews it never works. But if you don’t mind walking up a few stairs it’s not a problem. I would stay here again

The staff was amazing, but it would have been nice to know the Elevator did not work and we needed to use the stairs to get to our room. The problem was that it was broken for about 2 weeks, and we were not informed when we booked, as this would have made us look elsewhere for another hotel.

I have to say I usually never write a review but this place deserves it we walked into our room and couldn't believe how huge it was and for the price we were left in complete shock the staff was attentive and SUPER friendly they made us feel right at home I have to say I would call this hotel a hidden gem because we really felt like we were in a luxury hotel we have stayed at many other hotels over the years but I got to say if you want a HUGE room with friendly staff you got to put this on your list if you are in the area you can tell that the awards they've won over the years are 100% rightfully earned I would stay here again anytime without thinking twice thank you to the staff for making us feel welcome

I had to wait 20mins for someone to come to the desk in order to check in. I was then advised that the elevator was out of service. Evidently, that was not something that just occurred because I was told later that they didn’t expect it to be repaired until next month. That aside, I found that he room to be spacious and clean.

Elevator didn’t work. Room was on the third floor. The stairwell had no cameras the third floor, where my room was has no cameras. I did not feel safe as a single woman traveling alone. One of the washing machines was out of order and a bathroom in the lobby was also out of order. I couldn’t imagine a worse Accommodations.

Our stay was amazing, except for a front desk employee name Kathy a older lady with white hair and blue eyes, if a guest asks a question, before she hears she says no, everything is no, thank god the other employees ignore her, and apologized for her, she should be fired! If a guest would need air to breath, she would deny oxygen

The front desk staff was extremely kind and accommodating. They allowed an early check in. The room was huge with a full kitchen which was lovely and there is a Publix supermarket within walking distance. Overall, a great stay!

Only issue was a broken elevator. My husband has a bad hip and trudging up stairs and back down was hard on him. The hotel didn’t offer a downstairs room or an apology about it. When we asked, they said someone was supposed to be coming to fix it. We were there from Sunday until Wednesday with no elevator. Only complaint

Beyond exceptionally clean, very friendly staff. The General Manager is also extremely kind and compassionate. I couldn’t have chose a better place for our first family vacation in Florida. I will always look for this place everywhere we travel to! I would say the TV thing could be updated, as it’s cable or something, and the younger generations, myself included, aren’t familiar with it. Everything was so great though, I’m very happy with everything

The staff always helpfully and friendly. The area inside and out is very clean. Restaurants and grocery totes are with them walking distance. Tampa airport 20 min away. It’s very centralized to just about everything.

I was there on business and had only one day for a nice walk in the nearby lake park. It was in a nice safe area and walkable to many restaurants. There was no view, but it was a very serviceable room and I was happy it was so quiet. Bed was comfy. The kitchen and bath were very clean.

The rooms were very large and well planned. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was safe for handicap person.. I can’t think of a thing.

We thought it was in a good location. It was very clean and the staff were extremely friendly. Especially Cathy at the front desk. Beds were a little hard and closet doors were hard to open and close.

We decided to cancel the remainder of our reservation & got a refund.

We decided to cancel the remainder of our reservation & got a refund.

The A/c never came on..it was very warm and uncomfortable the whole night. The following morning upon leaving the Hotel to visit family we inform the Front Desk clerk who was very helpful.she advise she will get the top maintence to go up to our room to check on A/C. When we got back to the hotel that evening we had a,/c. Another minor problem was the water pressure of the shower was low.m

The room was OK. Clean throughout, comfortable bed. Could not adjust the thermostat, so we were cold out entire stay. Shower head gave but a trickle of water, so showers took longer than they should have.

They had no available rooms whatsoever and it’s hard for me to even write this properly because my cousin and I have stayed at the candlewood before and we’re very familiar with the staff and they’ve always been great to us, howeverthey have we’re so overbooked and they felt so bad because we ended up having to sleep in the car actually reading didn’t get any sleep. We just stayed in the car. We’re exhausted for cranky. Housekeeping didn't clean or empty trash in the room the 4 days I was there. Front desk staff did offer to carry luggage by stairs to second floor since elevator was broken. Front desk staff were friendly. Front entrance doesn't look like the photo. Sidewalk at entrance was painted black, not clean. Random plastic chairs were on the sidewalk. Business center out of date. Needed fresh carpets, paint and trim repairs, plumbing repairs.

Staff member Charles was amazing. Very apologetic about the elevator not working due to an outage but offered to carry my bags to the room. Room was spacious, clean and beautiful. Very comfortable beds and pillows. This was a work trip for me so the desk space was huge and comfortable. I would love to stay here again.

Clean property, nice amenities including laundry and workout room

The first room we were assigned to didn't have working air conditioning but they very graciously assigned us another room that did have working A/C. Otherwise everything was great. This was our second stay there and we would definitely stay there again.

Leftover foods were outside our room door upon check-in. Not sure if it was forgotten there after cleaning our room or a guest left it there. None of the outlets worked, apparently a breaker tripped. The front desk responded immediately to correct. Other than the snack shop was quite sparse in selections, we would stay again. Can walk to several eateries, shops. or a

I like the 🛌 it was comfortable my only problem i sleep there on Friday, i left the sig n outside the door 🚪 so they can clean my room, house cleaning don't even want in the room, i have to washed old washed clothes so my wife and I can re using it ,also coffee taste like water. The front desk staff was very friendly.

The location is very good, unless you're looking for beachfront. The facilities are slightly worn, but still functional. We will be back next time we are in Clearwater area.

Very spacious room. We were next to the mechanical room so was very noisy. Also traffic noise. Not happy that pool heater was broken so ruined my plans for a couple of r & r days. Liked that they had free washing machines.

Only issue we experienced was our room was directly next to the elevator, so several times throughout the night we were woken up by the noises of the elevator & people entering it, but otherwise it was a nice place to stay.

No breakfast but rooms have a kitchen. Pool is outside and much smaller than I expected but staff very nice and hotel very clean. I would definitely stay at that hotel again.

We enjoyed our stay very much. I actually like the fact they don't enter your room to make the bed and change linens unless you request it.

The staff was very friendly and courteous. The hotel is located very close to several restaurants and a grocery store which is great since there is a refrigerator and and a stove to cook. The only things we noticed that could have been fixed were that the toilet rocked a little, the overhead light in the bottom of the microwave needed replacing as it did not light up and there was a roach that we found crawling on the floor. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly stay there again in the future as well as recommend to others.

There were a couple of maintenance items that we told the hotel about at checkout. It was easy for us to work around them and we didn't want to change rooms.

The hotel was just what we needed for a long weekend stay. Our son slept on the fold out couch. Since the room just had the one king bed, it felt spacious and comfortable. The room had a full size fridge, dishwasher, and even a cooktop (which we did not use). The staff at check-in were helpful and kind. Only issue we had was with the elevator being super slow a couple of times. We would stay there again.

We decided on a spur in the moment trip. So we had to take our little dog with us. The hotel was very accommodating and everyone was very nice and helpful. The room was great and very clean. You have a lot of restaurants all around and it was very quiet. I definitely would stay there again.

Had to flip all breakers in the room to get electricity working, toilet ran all night, smelled like a former smoking room, no USB outlets, overall kinda dank.

Hotel is great. Was a little disappointed my room was given to someone else. Needed to wait for that person to vacate the room and the room to be cleaned again. The staff was apologetic but there was no type of compensation for the inconvenience. Other than the long wait to check in due to this mishap, the room was very spacious and hotel is clean and pleasant.

It's an older hotel and could use a refresher. However, it still feels clean. I travel as a single mum with two of my kids (ages 6 and 11). I felt safe in the hotel and walking around.

The place looked nice and was clean but we notice three different roaches on 3 different occasions while we were there. The front desk occupant tried to downplay it and say that "oh its just little small bugs that fly around out." We were not very comfortable after seeing these roaches.

Only thing I would advise Candlewood to do is pull up that carpet. Not a good idea for pets. The lady 2 places at stayed with candlewood smelled like dog. Other than that the place is huge and has everything you need! Bed is SOOOO comfortable, plenty of pillows, full size refrigerator, great location, quiet, food within walking distance, parking is easy, and staff was amazing!

I liked the staff, they were warm and welcoming,accommodating to my needs, the room was large enough for me to get around in my wheelchair. I did not like the fact that the bathroom was not really made for the physically challenged. The shower and sink were not situated correctly for the wheelchair person. The sink was too high, having to cup water in my hands to bring to my mouth …did not work for me, it would have already drained out of my hand then the shower was not situated as it needs to be. Shower chair was perfect but too far away from the shower head, water ran out of the shower and saturated the floor. Towels had to be laid out on the floor to absorb it. Having to get to the nozzle to turn on and off the water was hazardous also.Then, of course that created its own problem..the wheelchair was placed a little further away due to the towels on the floor. A drain hole was needed in the bathroom floor, or the floor of the shower needs to be more curved, so that the water would flow towards the drain and not run out of the shower.

Very large oversized rooms with nice kitchenette. Good place to stay if you're going to be in town for several days. Shop to purchase snacks and food to microwave for breakfast etc. No restaurant on property, but several restaurants and cafes on adjoining property. Only concern to me was that our room was adjacent to a mechanical room that was continuously noisy.

Check in was at 4:00pm. At 4:30 we to check in and the room was not available. We went to enjoy our day and returned at 10:00pm exhausted with 4 kids and ready for bed. Our room was finally ready, however, once we made it to the room it stunk like cigarettes. The smell was extremely strong and the air was unbreathable. 2 of my children are asthmatic. I have a younger child that is 1 years old. The environment is was unsafe for my family. I also have extreme allergies. I went to the front office and they said they were fully booked. They then said they have a room available but it’s 1 bed and they could give me blankets for the kids to sleep on the floor. The said they could give me the cleaning device to clean the air. I said I can try to cleaning air device. I asked how long it would take to clean the air, they stated an hour. We went to family members room for an hour and half. I went to check the room. The air was. It better. The machine was release some kind of strong chemical. We had the windows open, which was unsafe for our children. I then later learned that machine she said was ok for us to be around is extremely harmful and dangerous and nobody is allowed in a room while it is being used.

The hotel was in a great location, quiet and the parking was really good.. The room and bathroom felt a little outdated but overall it was nice.

Could not use pool due to debri from tree’s other then that a very pleasant stay .
