I have a couple concerns I got a handicap room let's start with the bar by the toilet it's a little hard to grab a bar when you just slide off the bar because they're using the wrong kind of cleaner and it's like somebody put oil on the bar and I almost fell on my face then the beds I'm in a wheelchair the platform beds are lower than the wheelchair which is hard to get from the bed to back up to a wheelchair position those beds should be a little bit higher the same height as a wheelchair seat on top of the entire lobby wreaking of disgusting alcohol and I'm not talking just a smell of a beer or wine it smelled like an old alcoholic who's been drinking for a month and then decided to stop drinking and you got the morning after smell that's how bad it was and that lobby in the evening time in the morning time you can't smell it because of all the food and everybody's perfumes that they're wearing when they come downstairs on top of not having any gluten-free options for breakfast I have stayed in a lot of hotels and this hotel is supposed to be a three-star hotel and other than those issues I had a wonderful time I really think I should get a free night out of the deal because I almost fell on my face because of that darn grab bar by the toilet and the fact that the beds were so uncomfortable and so low it was hard to maneuver in that room that room was not a handicap room the only thing handicapped in that room was the shower I would like a response to this I'd appreciate it

Did not meet expectations of a residence inn

We enjoyed our stay! The breakfast had many options. There’s a full fridge, dishwasher and stove in the room if you want to cook. It’s a great location too, near many restaurants and a beautiful park across the street with a rose garden.

The rotation of breakfast items was fresh each morning, and coffee kept hot. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was efficient and friendly. We understand this is a downtown city hotel but did notice that the immediate entrance and area around the building could use some attention. For example, the walkway from the main entrance was strewn with leaves, had some discarded items, and needed a power wash.

I was given a room viewing only bushes but I was switched after complaining. Why not just do right initially rather than risk a customer not returning.

The staff members were amazing! They were helpful and actually seemed like they enjoyed their jobs. The hotel was comfortable and the kids had a great time. We would definitely consider staying here again on our next trip to Sacramento.

The evening clerk I wished I got his name was wonderful and informative. He guided us to shopping and restaurants. We felt very safe inside our room. I would stay here again if I am ever in the area.

Pretty much everything was good. The only two drawbacks were the fact that you have to $25 per car to park in their garage even if you are the person who booked the room. Also, the TV in the livingroom of my suite had dead pixels. I wouldn't expect that to be left unfixed in a $500 per night suite. Other than that, it was a good stay.

This is a fantastic hotel if you are going to the convention center or downtown Sacramento. Clean, convenient location right by the Capitol garden, near lots of great restaurants. There is a full breakfast, full kitchen in your room, great workout room and pool. The staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly, especially Aramas who went above and beyond to make my stay so wonderful. I will be booking here every year!

Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast. I was in town for CIM and they gave out little goodie bags to the marathon runners upon check-in. They even had the free breakfast open extra early on race day so you could grab some food if you hadn’t planned ahead. 10/10

Our studio room was amazingly clean, modern, spacious, and we loved the layout. Breakfast was great, and the parking was very convenient and very flexible for our stay with the rates and area. The hotel's location was idea for us first time tourists next to the California State Capitol Park and was great for us to walk around and explore the city. We could not ask for better service, price or anything else on our stay. I definitely look forward to staying there again for the next trip to Sacramento!

The room was spacious with way more amenities than we're used to on our travels. It was a comfortable stay and the staff was absolutely fantastic.

Our room was clean with a comfortable bed. The front desk staff was friendly and fast with check in. The only down side is having to pay $25 for parking at the hotel's garage when one is already staying there. It seems absurd to have to pay to park at the hotel on top of the reservation charges.

The room was clean, breakfast was good and the staff was friendly, but there was way too much noise for us. We sleep lightly and the sound of people closing doors was too loud even late at night. As a consequence, we didn't get much sleep. It would be great if you could somehow dampen sounds in the building. Also, there was a smell of smoke down the hall, which we had to breathe every time we walked to or from the elevator.

Love the location

I liked the pool and spa a lot. It was 25 dollars for parking which is a little crazy, and the parking spots were a bit inconvenient and small. Elevators often got lost and staff never came to clean, unsure if needed to ask or if it happened naturally. But still a good time, went to convention. Staff was nice

Stay here for meetings in Sacramento. I like the hotel- modern, clean and comfortable at a good price. Offers free breakfast but have not tried it. They have rooms with mini kitchens that are great.

The property was clean and the staff were excellent! Pool and gym were clean. During our stay, there was a conference where their attendees took over the entire lobby because the conference room entrance was next to the Lobby entrance. It was hard and uncomfortable to get through the constant groups to exit. Also, for the high price $400+ a night, there is no valet and parking is a chore to get through the driveway and then to and from the garage. Also, there is no true restaurant, and the breakfast was minimal pickings. For the price per night, it lacked these corresponding amenities.

VERY cool area... was able to walk around to great eateries and unique bars. Beautiful Capitol Park right across the street.

The room smelled of some sort of nasty cleaner that was overpowering and gross. The neighbors were some kind of weirdos that were up all night slamming doors. The elevator didn’t work and I was not made aware of this until we had to climb 3 flights of stairs with luggage. Our keys didn’t work properly and when I asked to send maintenance up they said there was only one person there and she can’t leave the desk. The door handle ended up being broken and my husband had to figure it out don’t stay here.

The property was ideally located for walking to the Golden1 Center for events and was surrounded by great restaurants. However, I did not like the positioning of the air conditioning unit in the room, as it blew directly on me while I slept.

Hotel didn’t come close to reaching Marriott standard. Also main entrance to hotel is through dirty alley.

My stay at this hotel was good. I did have a few issues when I arrived. Parking was limited and elevators were down, and I had a rolling luggage and an ice chest, which meant I couldn’t use the stairs, so I had to walk down 4 levels of parking garage to the hotel. Then when I arrived to the hotel my AC was not working, and it was a weekend of 100° weather, but was fixed about an hour after I arrived, which was appreciated! Breakfast was great. Besides my two issues, it was a satisfactory stay and would stay again, and it was in a great location

There was no dresser or drawers to place folded clothes into. Only a closet with limited space. I was there for 7 nights and that was a little inconvenience.

Great location. However, I was not informed that there was a $25 parking fee, and the parking fee was not listed on my receipt. There was just an extra separate $25 charge on my card. Also, the in room coffee maker did not work. When a replacement was given, it too was non functional

Perfect stay for business or leisure trip. Daily breakfast was very helpful for a good meal to start the day and kitchenette in the room was great to have for other meals and snacks. The in room desk was large and comfortable to work from and the layout of the room made for a nice stay. Laundry room came in handy and traveled home with clean clothes! Didn't use the pool or gym but nice that both are conviently located on the property. Safe area and walkable to restaurants, parks and shopping.

The special request I filled in when booking hotels.com did not get recognized when checking in. I had asked for a room on the highest floor available and to not be near the elevator area. The first room was on the second floor near the elevator. Went back and asked for requests and was then given room on 10th floor and end of hall.

Our stay at Residence Inn by Marriott in downtown Sacramento by the Capitol Park was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean with lots of amenities. Full kitchen with refrigerator and microwave and dishwasher. Various dining choices and all walkable. Public transportation is great and cheap. Close to Old Sacramento. We even walked there. I recommend Residence Inn for location, price and friendly staff.

I always enjoy staying at a Residence Inn. I love having a kitchen and a semi-suite experience. The only downside of this particular property was the shower/tub. It was slow to drain. Everything else was topnotch.

Room was clean. My purse was stolen from the mail lobby area where breakfast is served. There was no manager on site until 11 AM. Once I got a hold of him- Manager said there are no cameras facing the lobby, no security and nothing he could do. Hotel staff shared this specific hotel has a contract with the city/state to give vouchers to displaced people and they have a hard time monitoring who comes in and out. I had to cancel all my credit cards and talk to next door parking garage security to keep an eye on my car just in case the thieves came back with car keys. I reached out to Marriott and put a complaint response was: "deal with facility manager"

This is a nice property in a great location. The rooms are spacious and include a kitchenette. The only thing that was disappointing is they do not make up the room during your stay. At these prices I would expect that level of service.

The room was nice and big. There was no lotion in the bathroom which I found surprising. Also, the pull out was not very comfortable, even though it is a pullout.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The area was great - easy to walk to restaurants, Target, shopping. Our room had luke warm water - they tried to fix it, but it wasn't much better. Our friends also had luke warm water. They said because the hotel was busy there wasn't enough hot water. There was also a stain on our comforter, like soda spilled.

Room smelled like smoke, elevators could have been cleaned more often especially when there was high traffic. Rooms aren’t insulated enough from noise in the hallway. This wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but we had noisy neighbors that were partying in their room that kept us up two nights in a row. Luckily they were pre partying and left to go hit the clubs/bar or something. But they were noisy, waking me up, when they came back 2-3am.

Was there for the CIM marathon. Very close to finish line. Definitely a plus!! Breakfast buffet had a variety of foods and even opened early for marathon runners! Negative point: no recycling.

It was an easy process to check in and pay for $25 parking. We walked everywhere and never needed to get our car out of the parking garage as everything was very walkable downtown.

Went to Sacramento for the Aftershock Music Festival (2023). My friend and I shared this studio room with the intent of using the kitchen and sight-seeing around the city, but alas the festival kept us busy! So the hotel was our place of respite - which was perfect. The room was big enough for two, clean, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in a GREAT location and reasonably priced based upon that. We would have preferred not to have had to pay for parking but otherwise so I would definitely stay here again.

Great location. Many restaurants around good walking area in the morning. Room was great with lots of room for several day stay. There was a shelf in the closet that didn’t allow the door to only slide open half way. So closet was only half useful. Otherwise we really liked it.

Hotel beds felt like they were from the 90s and haven’t been changed out ever. Extremely lumpy and uncomfortable. Air circulation had someone in the hotel smoking weed and was coming into our room. Lounge chairs by the pool were all broken. This hotel needs a serious upgrade. Really disappointed in this Marriott.
